thinking about how the first buckley diaz christmas will go once buck and eddie move in together. like buck will go over extreme on the holiday baking goods and him and christopher will be decorating gingerbread houses together and getting the correct ratio down for popcorn to cranberries while eddie just sits there admiring and feel warm about this new family dynamic. christopher is obviously in his teenage years so as much as he acts like he doesn’t care about any of it now, christmas was always the holiday he felt connected with his mom, so it makes him feel happy now that he can honor his mom by celebrating the holiday together now with his dad and his buck in new ways. the family dynamic between all of them has already existed from over the years but it’s the first time where they all live together so new memories and traditions will be formed. buck will be getting them santa hats and getting them cheesy christmas sweaters and they’ll be having a family photoshoots. there’s photos of them from over the years from christmas already and photos of christopher and shannon as well from the christmases where eddie was overseas while serving. that first christmas together they have off since it’s their off year so they start the celebrations up on nochebuena with eddie showing them more of his traditions he had growing up and they all drink hot chocolate (abuelita obviously) as they start watching holiday movies from elf to the polar express to buck insisting they watch holiday episodes as well after chris had gone to his room to play video games, so that’s how him and buck ended up cuddled up on their new couch watching random holiday episodes from brooklyn nine nine, the office, abbott elementary and the bear on christmas eve. as it gets closer to midnight, eddie had told them they could open one present each and leave the rest for christmas morning after all the pancakes that buck would be making for them. he calls christopher over and hands him over the big box that he had buck wrap up for him because eddie still doesn’t know how to properly wrap up presents. he opens it up and it’s the the gaming console he had been asking his dad for months now and he goes over and hugs eddie. buck to add on that gift had insisted that he needed a new headset as well when him and eddie had gone shopping together a few weeks ago on a day off, so they let christopher open another gift and now he’s all happy and he thanks them both before he runs off all ready to set it up in his room.
eddie hands buck his present and buck hands eddie his present. they are both pretty small boxes and at this point they both realize what’s going on. buck starts laughing and eddie starts laughing and eddie goes “we are already married why are you handing me a small box?” and buck insists he opens it and they are charms to add on to his necklace. now he wears two necklaces at work: his saint christopher one and another one where he hangs his wedding ring while at work so it doesn’t get damaged. they had a conversation about wearing silicone band ones, but eddie likes to mess with buck sometimes and let people on calls flirt with him since he knew it riles him up since his jealously for eddie is on a whole other level. buck opens his small box and they are the silicone wedding bands. “finally” buck said loudly as he immediately put it on above his actually wedding ring. he knew eddie liked messing with him because jealous buck is a whole thing it being the jealously leads him to become possessive and then they both have a nice time together and eddie ends up with a bunch of different hickeys all over his body, buck’s favorite place being the mole on the back of eddie’s inner thigh. buck had noticed that there was two different ones with different flowers on them. “so one is for me it’s your birth flower month and the other one is for you my birth flower month. the only flowers I won’t actually manage to kill this time around, well only until they get damaged at work” and now they are both sporting their new bands at work so now they can both have their actual wedding band hanging from their neck and now wearing the silicone wedding bands so that they both can have random people stop hitting on them during calls. it happens every once in a while now not as often as it used to, but best believe buck’s jealously monster always comes out and now for the meantime they are all happy and cuddled up on christmas as they both ended up falling asleep on the couch together.
#got carried away with this little buckley diaz family buddie first christmas headcanon so enjoy Imao#eddie diaz#evan buckley#christopher diaz#buddie#buckley diaz family#more of steph’s random thoughts

Sandrock Thoughts, no particular order
-Ya'll, Logan's hair isn't super long, it's Aragorn's hair, just tied back. He's a Dunedain ranger, of course it's Aragorn's hair.
-He really is. I just actually me him on my replay and he's just such a decent heroic person oh my goodness. Dunedain ranger, I'm not kidding. I wish actually there had been a flirt option to essentially say 'well now I've heard you talk...' instead of all meta. Out here being the dangerous, rough man defending the decent folk of Sandrock from the definite dangers of the wilds, taking all of that on himself. He isn't exactly Aragorn, though I think there's parts of his design are meant to call back to movie Aragorn, who had a lot of elements to his costume design meant to call back to westerns- that sort of duster jacket thing he wore, for instance.
-The dynamic between Justice and Unsuur (and the cat Captain) is one of my favorites. Justice is a great character in his kind of tired lawman way, plus he does have some great lines- "tracking device? What kind of budget do you think we have?". Unsuur does, too. ("Is it so wrong for a mole to love a princ--" "Yes."). It's a really great dynamic and I actually wish we'd gotten more of the Civil Corps and Logan teamup.
-I know Unsuur is a potential love interest but he makes me all maternal. That boy is my son and I will have no word said bad about him. You just leave him and his rocks alone!
-Speaking of kids, I really like the kids in this game. Jasmine is pretty great as the town princess, essentially, and Andy is a delight in his chaos gremlin ways. Pebbles is cute as, well, essentially an extension of Rocky and Crystal and a representation of what they see in Sandrock. Child characters can be too precious or too annoying easily, but there's a sincerity to them and a genuine stumbling childishness.
-I haven't had the PC have a kid because those mechanics seem like more intensive farm animal ones. Thematically, it makes sense because it's a game about forging a future for a town, but. But I would like to enjoy playing the game.
-The horny French moleman just has to be a reference to the horny French moleman of Atlantis: The Lost Empire. He's fun. That whole mission is fun even the platform part where if you screw up enough the game asks if you'd like to skip this part. Heh, and assault rifle for boss killing wins.
-Someone wrote Qi to be very Sheldon Cooper but it works because they hit it just the right amount and he is, in fact, as much an agent of chaos as Cooper or Andy or Elsie in his enthusiasm for giant robots. Being as the Vega 5 rep asks how you worked with him and didn't throw him out a window, his scientific peers are quite happy to have him tinkering away in the ass-end of nowhere and so is he.
-Elsie's story is a nice tale of maturity that the player plays a very small role in. You just give her some fish, really, and serve as a sounding board. Her story is hers, and I see her as just being a year or two into adulthood while most of the town's love interests are in their mid-20s (this is explicitly stated about Logan, who is a few years younger than Owen we know for sure and probably Justice).
-I kind of wish that, if you get both parties past a certain relationship level and you still haven't flirted with them, that some of them courted each other. I have found out that this can happen for Owen and Amirah under certain conditions- not a pair I'd have picked- but I haven't seen it. It would make sense for this to happen in such a small town and with the game's themes.
-Owen courting Amirah makes sense- she's an out-of-towner and is written and designed to be stunningly beautiful, but it's not a good long-term match IMO. Owen wants someone to run the Saloon with, and he really cares about the Saloon, as it is his family's legacy and he runs it really well. He has no angst about the Saloon, thank God. This really is what he wants. Amirah is very introverted and...well, women like that, their great beauty tends to make them mercenary or cynical about romance for good reason- look at how often people hardcore hit on her- and Owen is a romantic at heart. He's romantic about Sandrock and the Blue Moon and a thousand other things, but Amirah is a cynic in a lot of ways. Amirah likes being in Sandrock because she finds it inspiring in a challenging way and allows her to be an introverted beauty, but she doesn't and can't love it and its people like Owen does.
-I could see Owen with Jane or, as I've read in fic, Mi-an. Jane grew up in Sandrock but left and came back, so there's distance there from the town dynamic I think is crucial to the crew pairing off but a love for the place. She likes people. Mi-an as she develops gains more confidence, she loves to fix and grow stuff, and loves the town, too. Writers don't seem to embrace Owen/Amirah often at the moment, possibly because they're unaware of the quest and it's non-intuitive.
-Arvio gets a bad shake from fanfic, poor guy, but his is a tale of growing up in life and business. I really like his and Amirah's plotline. Musa basically tells him to actually think if he's going to chase big dreams and then he damn well does. He is another one, like Elsie, it's hard to see as a romantic interest for me but that doesn't mean I dislike him. What's interesting about his height- he is the shortest adult male townie, I think- is if he talks about his past you realize he might have been malnourished and a child laborer in a quarry.
-Heidi's a fun and a grounded career woman. I like her 'smart country girl who wasn't interested in city life' vibe. She mentions her dad pushing her to find someone, which all the older people would, but her focus makes sense. I think it would be really funny, and fun, if she sort of paired off with Qi of all people. They work together so much in the main plotline and she does rein him in. It's a fun dynamic even if platonic, at any rate. Them dating would mystify the townsfolk hilariously, you have to admit.
-Fang is interesting and I get why many ladies love him but...it seems an uneven relationship. There's something coercive about how one would get involved with him, some feeling that you're taking advantage of someone you're helping, at least to me, YMMV. It may be my age. He is a really interesting character with his personal tragedies and deep sense of medical ethics.
-Pablo is there. He may have more going on, I am happy with how my character looked so I didn't go into the salon much. If he had a store selling other stuff I'd probably swing by more...or had more commissions. If the fashion show story had more meat- I'm not there yet in my second playthrough- maybe I'd feel different. It's the talk of the town when it happens but there has to be a story with talking Logan and Fang into it and I'd like to see that. Maybe I missed it.
-I generally wish there were reactions to you getting involved with someone specifically more. Maybe there are and it wasn't something I was paying attention to because I am a Logan girl and that only happens later in game. Nasty thing to code for in a kind of complicated game, though, and even more writing in a writing-heavy game. It does make it seem like it's a secret relationship though. These people are realistically so gossipy that it would be a subject of conversation.
-I like the ranch family and Cooper's rambling and sort of earthy madness are endearing. He's written as much more...closed-minded in fanfic than the game if you actually listen/read his rambling. His issues with Elsie are issues of parenthood and being far too alike, not some sort of 'but the old ways!' thing. His rambling to Fang about vegetarianism isn't actually judgmental, more curious; I think he really appreciates what Fang does for his ranch and family. It's so cute how he adores his wife and she adores him, the latter of which is surely a mystery to the rest of the town.
-Hugo and Heidi are mutants themselves, as Vivi wandered through some kind of gas when she was pregnant, giving Hugo his superstrength (short skinny Cooper is a brave one for antagonizing him so often), which Heidi got as well. I've seen in fanfic Logan (and his unnamed mother) as mutants, which they are at least with hair color which is commented on so it isn't just stylized blond. It's kind of cool that there's some mutations that aren't harmful, though when Heidi explains her strength she hints that it is known to be debilitating.
-In fanfic, of course, the Church of Light gets run down, and the plot does make that easy, but in game it is a lot more nuanced than the hostile-to-religion culture of most fanfic writers, which is to be found in Burgess. Burgess is a doofus, no doubt, but he isn't only that. When he gets free of the people manipulating him, undermining his confidence, treating him like a weak-minded idiot, he starts to grow. He's still a doofus a lot but he is also capable of serious insight and leadership. The quest where you make him a confidence hat to preach really shows that. Also, Burgess is the one who made the really insightful point about equal application of the law at Logan's trial- that Logan agrees with- that made me drop my controller. He says a lot of great things about what forgiveness means, too, and he really is going to be a good and wise minister. It would have been complicated to code, but I kind of would like the character model to lose a little weight after the conspiracy transpires because I like to imagine his weight was a part of how he was being run down- and also eating meals with Pen, who eats like a high-intensity athlete.
-I'll have to pay attention to Rian to see if his habits change post-conspiracy. I'd have liked him to open a furniture store after that, actually, the way Mi-an opens a plant store after some quests. It almost feels like cut content, as there's a great big building next to the museum that seems set up to be a shop. This is what I'd call a AA game, so stuff had to get prioritized, I get it.
-Have a pregnant model for Dan-bi post conspiracy. They kept talking about their future child but I'm not clear if that's an upcoming or ongoing plan until, you know, they have one. It would have been nice to have more going on with that. Again, I get it.
-When you know the twist with Grace, it becomes more obvious what's going on early on. She needs the insulted lunchbox thing to get food to Logan, Haru, and Andy, for instance; not sure this tracks with the timeline stated in game, where she contacted them after he train hijacking, but it's so small it could have been missed if it's off.
-Nia is very dull in a game full of big personalities. I get why she exists and she's not a stupid person, but she feels like she's from another game. Maybe it's her too-cute body language and kind of generic character model. YMMV, though I do see fic writers feel the need to punch her up a lot.
-I like Grace and I think she's more someone who would be my friend as a peer than the others who get more of that. I wish she had an outfit during the invasion that showed what she really was, some kind of Black Widow suit instead of her waitressing outfit, but near as I know the only people with a plot-related costume change are Elsie and Logan.
-I kind of wish this game had quest-modding tools. Most of the quests are text only and I really do want more. The pet DLC came out in May and I feel like the storylines have a lot more to give- again, maybe I just haven't found everything- so who knows.
-The Free Cities' governmental structure is different and not stupid. It's pretty clear there's not a strong what we would call federal government- these are in effect city-states. Trudy has a lot of power as mayor over Sandrock and she doesn't really answer to anyone but the locals. The population of humans worldwide seems low, which makes sense given the Calamity and its dangerous aftereffects. There's a fear, I think, of the Peripheries spreading. It does create a political tension because there's land to the south but no one can live there. They can barely live in a good chunk of the Free Cities' territory. Sandrock only exists because of ancient water generating tech, Duvos can't produce enough food for itself (this may be self-inflicted, as they are extremely Soviet which you can see if you know Soviet jokes; whoever wrote this was smart).
-Someone in a fic had most of Sandrock's assorted prior-to-invasion misfortunes be sabotage and I wonder if that was the canon intent. Howlett's death is stated to end the truce with the Geeglers, but how did they know he was dead? The Bandirats were the ones breaking the Greeno pipes in an attempt to find the princess, but it's not clear how it would help, though the queen is crazy...maybe it was part of some deal, because that starting right after big investor Musa had been convinced to give Sandrock a chance and is himself in town is suspicious when the Valley of Whispers had been there being a no-go zone forever right next door. With the road being built, you have to think Tiger and crew were in a bit of a panic because things weren't supposed to start getting better for Sandrock.
-Musa's pretty cool. Gives good business advice. Acts like a real investor who is a decent human being, too, yes they are out there...not in Silicon Valley or DC maybe, the Orthanc and Barad-Dur of the United States.
-It is thematically relevant that the superfund site gets turned into the Happiest Place in the Free Cities. Catori seems like a satire of a conniving entrepreneur at first pass- she's another one I think doesn't get a fair shake in fanfic but has a good story in game, I think part of it is her accent which is a little grating- but no she actually wants to build something better. She has a dream and she's trying to make it work. She has to learn how to think and she casually builds all these castles in the sky in conversation but when it comes down to it she actually goes and figures it out in a way that actually works. It's not just belief and a dream, it's risk and thought and hard work and a dream; someone who wrote this actually knew a thing or two about Walt Disney and admires him. Not many cozy sort of games would have you get returns on your investment from a theme park entrepreneur but this one does! And explains what an angel investor is, too, like outright explains it.
-There's some broken English in a few places in the interface ('get a discount when consuming in the store' for relationship perks) and in a blurb asking for a Steam review in a billboard outside the game center, which is bizarre because the majority of the game is written by people who know English so well they can handle dialect well. Weirdly, it's sophisticated broken English- 'when consuming in the store' is a very archaic turn of phrase.
-The PC gets some real great dialogue despite being restricted to one or two lines. That takes talent. A few of my favorites:
Some absolute bullshit is going on...."how are you so strong!" PC, well aware of the BS: "I don't know, diet maybe!"
"What did they make in this place anyway?" PC: "Shampoo! Evil shampoo!"
-Speaking of...the ancient evil corporation is named frelling Geegle, and the post-apocalyptic lizardman cargo cult of the Geeglers uses sendups to Google logo art as their graffiti. It's great. It is also not nice at all to Google in a not generally anti-business way; this is anti-corporatism. It's specifically definitely anti-Google.
-The theme of environmental stewardship is really well done. It's not heavy handed or anti-civilization. I thought it'd have the boilerplate bad and sometimes hateful Lorax knock-off like everything else but it doesn't. There's a groundedness and humanity to it. It's outright Tolkienian.
-The imp and fiend designs are the most disturbing monster designs I've seen in a video game for a long time. They creep me out because they're so clearly things that used to be human in a game with people who are definitely human and you're talking to all the time and are being affected at that moment by the thing that made these monsters this way. They are, unlike all the mutant animals who are part of an ecosystem if often a dangerous and bizarre one, not right. If they were in a Banjo Kazooie game or something like that, they'd be just another enemy, but in this context they are downright disturbing and the game leans into it just the right amount. Style over graphical intensity as always.
-I know Portia is the game that started this but what I like about Sandrock is the people and I just don't get that from Portia. I guess it's because I'm a gun-toting western hick myself and the region reminds me so much of home. The Free Cities are an interesting setting and a lot could be done with them, but I'm not really interested in Portia and maybe not the other places. I like this place and these people, like I liked Kirkwall and those people in Dragon Age 2, but have no interest in anyone really or the places in the rest of the series afterward (you would have to pay me a lot to even read the follow-on comics; I do not even check the DA wiki for updates on the plot anymore). This could change depending on what Pathea does next, of course.
-I am floored and delighted by how smart this game is written, I cannot say it enough. Hope is hard to come by these days, I find, but this silly game gives me some.

Scythe chapter 11-15
You know the drill!! Cmon!!!
—
Chapter 11!!
-I always forget the conclave’s have names,,,
-The thing is, you can never blame these people for fighting back, it’s human nature, but OUGH the consequences of human nature are so devastating
-But just imagine the guilt you’d feel, your husband got killed and you get immune from the same fate for a whole year. That’s just prime for survivors guilt
-Also the fact that Faraday told the family the man didn’t resist is just testament to his kindness and compassion
-“The sanctity of the law…And the wisdom to know when it must be broken.” *Stares at Goddard*
-MILK SCENE, I unironically love this scene even tho I think it’s really funny
-Also I genuinely don’t know how ppl drink milk b4 bed, is that even a real thing? How does that make you sleepy??
-Also good on Faraday!! Don’t waste shit!!!
-Apparently all the Scythe Rings are white but I refuse to acknowledge that, they’re all multicolored and each color relates to the scythe in some way <3
-That ring security system Faraday has going on is sick as fuck tho ngl
-“Now let’s see how long it takes Rowan to go for the ring.” I love himmmm, he’s fun!!! He can be fun!!
-Tonist mention!! I love the Tonists <33
-Nice chapter!! Gives more depth to Faraday!!
—
Chapter 12!!
-Rowan and Citra’s test are approaching!!!
-The idea of having to hold yourself back in life because you’re afraid of being killed is actually terrifying—
-Also same Rowan, I hate studying too
-“Rowan concluded that not knowing was more terrifying than knowing.” If I remember correctly what the consequence is then that is CERTAIN true
-I LOVE Citra and Rowan’s banter here!! You can see their chemistry early on!!
-UGH I WONT LIST OUT ALL THE MOMENT BUT THEYRE SO CUTE!!!
-Cute chapter! Lots of Citran moments!
—
Chapter 13!!
-“I’m a human being, not a mole.” Faraday is soooo fun sometimes like so fun and endearing???
-“Destroyed back in the age of mortality by something called ‘terrorism’.” OKAY SO YES THIS DOES GIVE US A LOT TO THINK ABOUT IN TERMS OF WHAT PEOPLE HERE KNOW ABOUT THE AGE OF MORTALITY BUT ALSO THAT IS RLLY FUCKING FUNNY SOOO
-I too hate walking at 6:30 am (I go to public school in America)
-“I have found that with the Scythedom, it is better to ask for forgiveness than permission,” He is iconic yall
-“What’s the worst they could do?” Things said before disasters—
-Running the gauntlet” Like walking the red carpet!
-“Scythes wished to be seen as the many faces of light, not of darkness.” And soon they will be! Yk, just right after the plague—
-SCYTHE CURIE OMG OMG!!
-OO now they’re seeing scythe goddard ohoho I LOVE HAVING FORESIGHT
-Citra would cringe at the fact she at one point dazzled by goddard
-Rowan don’t be fatphobic /j
-I like that the conclave’s are pretty boring for the most part, makes it feel more realistic
-I love how only when Citra becomes a Scythe does she begin to understand these rituals, shows how much she grows
-OHOHO we got goddards fuckin note bullshit! Citra is gonna hear allll about that when she becomes a scythe
-Love how Chomsky is basically described as “as white as anyone could be” lmaoo token white man
-also gun lobby, nothing to say about it just…Gun lobby
-Rowan starting to talk like faraday is GOLD
-Again I love Citra and Rowan’s banter
-SCYTHE CURIE
-The idea of the weaponsmaster being a infomercial salesman is SOO funny i need to use that in my scythe oc shit
-Also that digital poison sounds fucking TERRIFYING
-The Scythes not liking the term ‘victim’ is rlly interesting to me, shows they really think of themselves as these faces of light
-Neal I don’t think you know what feminine hygiene products sound like—
-Hand of midas shit but even MORE horrifying!!
-I am terrible with names I saw Scythe Mandela and thought he was Scythe Possuelo and I have no idea why
-Who names their child Ransom??
-VERY good and long chapter!! Two more to go!!
—
Chapter 14!!
-OOO the test scene!! One of my favorites!!
-SCYTHE CURIE
-Again what is with the shit names??? Jacory??
-OHH you do NOT interrupt scythe curie girl you are FUCKED
-Oh Citra you’re gonna revisit the worst thing you’ve ever done REALLL soon
-ROWAN LOSING ON PURPOSE FOR CITRA IS SOOOO!!!
-GODDAMN IT RAND I LOVE YOU BUT STOP
-AND THE TENSION THICKENS WITH THE ADDED RULE OF THEM HAVING TO KILL THE OTHER OH MY GOD ITS STILL GOOD MAN!!
-We all want a relationship with the thunderhead Curie
-Very good chapter that adds to the stakes of the story!! One more to go!!!
—
Chapter 15!!!
-God the shock and confusion and how upset they all are really captivates this conversation
-And you see that eventually Rowan is very willing to die at the hands of Citra, that’s how much he loves her like UGHH
-“Scythes were supposed to be above the petty,” oh citra you have no idea bby girl,,
-Hash pales!!!
-THE KISS SCENE
-Ive already went in depth about why I love this scene in my Citran analysis post but UGH I LOVE ITT
-Liar!! You are totally in love rowan!!
-GODDARD THE BASTARD
-God he is such a fucking dick i hate himmm
-Very good chapter :)
—
AND THATS THE NEXT 5!!! Next time we’ll do chapters 16-20!

Sharing some of my Rin headcanons hehe
Some are self-inserts/based on my experiences so forgive me if they seem OOC, btw pt 1/?
⁃ Rin boxes as a hobby. It is how he vents out his excessive anger and sadness. His right hook is especially lethal hence why he only uses the left when sparring (also the reason why I’d like to think even when Rin and Shidou fight, Rin has never tried to hit him back and has only tried to stop or threaten him)
⁃ He loves mysterious things (black cats, owls, dream catchers, haunted dolls, taxidermy, etc.)
⁃ His fetish is bones, when they’re visible under skin; his favorite being the collarbone. Says he wants to bite into it.
⁃ Rin has extremely high potential and talent for most things but chooses to exert all his time and effort into soccer (he knows a bit of guitar and drums)
⁃ He burnt all the toys and gifts he received from Sae when he was a kid after the U-20 match
⁃ He has tried committing 💀 before by jumping off his favorite cliff’s ocean view but didn’t have to courage to actually do it.
⁃ He cries when happy, and feels numb or not alive when sad. (Hence why he said ‘he doesn’t cry’)
⁃ He hates his family, and even more so himself
⁃ Rin tried therapy before but the therapist was dismissive of him hence why he lost his final hope of trying to communicate with others
⁃ Sae does not hate Rin; he just doesn’t notice him. But Rin mistakes his nonchalance as malice, and as this cycle continues of Sae not acknowledging him, the more Rin kills their relationship and himself from within with his own thoughts and overthinking. (Pretty sure this is canon)
⁃ Rin has tried smoking when he was first 11 and didn’t like it yet he still smokes from time to time to release stress. If you asked him why: ‘because he wants to feel something’. ⁃ No one has ever seen Rin as a person, his own person except for Isagi. Not even Rin himself. Rin has always been ‘some rival’, ‘no.1’, ‘Itoshi Sae’s brother’ to everybody but never ‘Itoshi Rin’ as it is. (Again I think canon)
⁃ Sometimes Rin draws a mole under his left eye when going out for no reason at all.
⁃ Rin unexpectedly slightly cares for his appearance (mostly because he does not want to be related to or look like Sae all the time)

Headcanons, Oleg :)
Send a character’s name to receive four different headcanons
ooh starting off with an interesting one. i love oleg :^]
Headcanon A: we know kinzie is probably his favorite saint on a personal level, and i think he also really loves pierce (always made me smile when they were playing chess. pierce was 100% kicking his ass btw that’s why oleg didn’t mind when they got interrupted), but as far as my srtt rewrite goes i think he also likes troy. he’s not totally aware of the long past troy has with the saints, and he picks up stuff quickly as time goes on, but he can tell troy is making an effort to right any past wrongs and do what he can for his friends, and oleg sees that loyalty within him. he respects his dedication.
Headcanon B: actually i think part of this may have been somewhat canon because of some dialogue in sriv, but him watching nyte blade is hilarious to me. but i like going a step further; i think he legit finds enjoyment in admittedly cheesy dramas like that. things that are over-acted, have laughable special effects, and cringy writing are some of his favorite things to watch. he genuinely loves how earnest they are.
Headcanon C: i mean i’m always talking about my srtt rewrite so. continuing on with that. in my canon, oleg was part of the russian mafia prior to the events of srtt. honestly he’d been there since like before sr1 took place lol. he was an information guy, enforcer, assassin—really whatever they needed. one of the best. he was part of a powerful and old crime family who wasn’t interested in joining the syndicate and had been rejecting their attempts for years; oleg was assigned to take out loren after a particularly bad confrontation between the syndicate and this family that killed a lot of people he cared about. unfortunately once oleg got to steelport he was outnumbered and captured, held prisoner for years and tortured (none of the cloning shit that’s in the game btw). without him back home, the rest of the people in his gang were killed. anyone left he cared about was murdered by the syndicate, and it’s why he joins the saints immediately after they rescue him. but it’s also why he stays in steelport: he has no one to go home to.
Headcanon D: i mean. my rewrite. lmao😭 i’ll elaborate more on the syndicate keeping him prisoner. so they aren’t doing any of the DNA cloning stuff like in the actual game, that’s just not in their wheelhouse. loren is keeping him alive to torture because 1) he’s just an evil person and enjoys getting to torment someone who’s been a thorn in his side for years and 2) doing this as a means of demoralization and wants to get oleg to join his side instead because he knows how valuable oleg would be. kiki and viola are also assassins/spies undercover in the syndicate (sent by ultor, meant to kill loren but their mission changes to killing dex) and i think oleg actually figures them out immediately. honestly i think oleg uses that to his advantage and also mocks loren with it, saying he knows the syndicate has some moles and just hanging it over his head.
#asks#thank you! this was fun to talk about actually since i haven’t talked much on his side of things in the rewrite#srtt rewrite tag

Thoughts on every JT character + personal headcanon for each of them?
Oooooh dear, there's quiet a few characters, so sorry if I miss any-
Johnny Test: 8/10 Overall, a pretty good depiction of a 11 year old boy! I would be lying if I said that I didn't think of him as one of the best character's in the show. Headcanon: He does have a pretty big soft spot for babies/toddlers, as long as they aren't evil, of course.
Mary Test: 6/10 She's good, but doesn't have much of her own personality apart from Susan. I also dislike that she legit uses Johnny as a test subject. Y'all are gonna kill the boy if this continues! Headcanon: She actually doesn't find Gil that attractive, it's just that every other guy at her school is mid, so he's her best option.
Susan Test: 6/10 Same thoughts as Mary. Headcanon: Her favorite type of scientific experiments are with machinery, especially when building, cleaning, or taking them apart.
Hugh Test: 7/10 He's so malewife it's unbelievable. Now call me spoiled or too sympathetic, but I definitely feel like he should spoil his kids just a little more. Not with toys or something like that, but with attention. Susan and Mary are probably fine with the attention that he's currently giving them, but Johnny might just want some positive attention towards him. Headcanon: Despite making meatloaf 24/7, his favorite food is actually jack fruit. He just can't have it nearly as often because of how expensive it is.
Lila Test: 8/10 The girlboss ever. I just wish she would be able to spend more time with her family, but that's all that I think of her negatively. Headcanon: She actually dyes her hair brown, and her actual hair color is the bright red that Susan and Mary have, and also the color of Johnny's tips. At first it was because her job didn't believe that her hair color was natural so she was forced to dye it, but then she just kept it since she really liked the way it looked on her better than her red hair.
Dukey: 9/10 I am a sucker for smart yet silly characters, what can I say? He's probably the most well written character in the show, but that's not saying much tbh. Headcanon: He did ended up having a litter of puppies before he went in the pound that Johnny rescued him from, and he does try to visit them as often as he can.
Bling-Bling Boy / Eugene: 7/10 He's an interesting character, and I find him funny! I just wish that he wasn't such a creep with Susan- Headcanon: His main type is actually southern women from America with thick accents. Susan is just an outlier when it comes to his attraction.
Mr. Mittens and his butler, Albert: 5/10 Fun villains, but I don't think of them as anything more than that. Headcanon: That cat definitely will sit on Albert's paperwork and things like that while he's doing it to be a pain.
Mr Black and Mr White: 6/10 Similar to Susan's and Mary's dynamic when it comes to writing, but still good and funny characters in my eyes! Headcanon: They are in fact married to each other. You cannot convince me otherwise.
Brain Freezer: 10/10 Silly villain go brrrrrr!! So silly and such a good character to me, I love him sm. Headcanon: Despite being a cold and ice-based villain, he cannot stand on ice without special attachments to his footwear.
Gil Nexdor: 4/10 Average boring white boy, but he's a sweetheart despite that, so he's not the worse. Headcanon: He's aroace, so he truly does think that Susan and Mary don't want to be anything more than friends.
Dark Vegan: 5/10 He's a tab bit boring for my taste, being the trope of a scary villain but when he's in his civilian/normal attire he's just a wimpy guy. Headcanon: His favorite animal is actually snakes!
The Beekeeper: 5/10 Not very memorable or too interesting to me. Headcanon: Despite being a beekeeper, his favorite insect/bug is actually a stick bug!
Zizrar: 6/10 I love this silly mole king, but he's a bit too silly to be fighting with an 11 year old boy. Headcanon: He definitely just makes a hole that's barely big enough to fit him in it and just sits in it for a while. Maybe even sleep in it sometimes.
Sissy Blakely: 7/10 She's a good character! But she's also just a gender bend of Johnny tbh. Headcanon: She's bi with a preference towards men.
The General: 2/10 I hate how he's actually a good depiction of people in the military- Also, why are you placing most of your problems at your job on an 11 year old and his teenage sisters?! Headcanon: He's dead, actually. He's not canon, he isn't real, this was the Mandela Effect.
Johnny's teacher: 1/10 Biggest bitch in the show, and he's technically not even that big of an antagonist. Headcanon: He treats Johnny the way he does because he's actually close to losing his job and he thinks that Johnny's bad grades are the reason he's about to be fired, when it's simply because he's a bad teacher, and treating Johnny the way he doesn't certainly isn't helping him.

I love my best friend. I'd fully give up everything for her, but I know she would never ask me to.
I devote to her the same way she devotes to me, I'd live for her, I'd die for her, and I'd kill for her. No hesitation, she wouldn't either.
And it's such a beautiful, wonderful friendship because I have denied testing her loyalty and all this bullshit, but time and time again, she proves me right. No matter how shitty the situation is, no matter if it's because my great grandmother died and I'm getting crushed with the weight of the family, no matter if it's just a fight that left me crying, no matter if it's just I felt too lonely, like AN ACTUAL home, like the home I longed for so much.
"But love is a strong word! You can't tell her that" no, I love her and I'll say it.
"But that's only for partners!" No, fuck you, I will always advocate for her happiness but I don't think there's a single person in the world who will lover her like i do.
"You're lying! That's not friendship!" She is my best friend, period.
I truly don't know how to name it. There's nothing romantic to our relationship but the strength of the love I have... it feels wrong to call it all platonic, I can see her in so many ways she can't, I can see the way the moles on her cheeks look stunning when she genuinely smiles, I can see the way her lips get this color so passionate during the winter with the cold, I get to know her deepest secrets and she knows mine.
I wanna spend the rest of my life with her, I wanna grow old and share all my future milestones with her. I wanna live with her, have this domestic intimacy where I can hold her, cuddle her while we watch movies, scream the lyrics of those devastated old Latina singers, to be able to wake her up with breakfast in her bed, to tell her everyday I lover her and I'm proud of her. I wanna kiss her head, take care of her while she's sick, treat her with her favorite food, and become strong enough to beat up anyone who dare make her cry.
She's the home I don't return to, she's the home that comes along with me in every battle.
"love is love" until it doesn't include sex
"love is love" until it lives in separate beds
"love is love" until it is queer platonic
"love is love" until it does not comply with compulsory sexuality and amatonormativity
love IS love, for aspecs, for sex sepulsed folk and for platonic relationships
"love is love" apply to more than same-sex relationships in a world where romantic and sexual relationships are considered more valuable
Remember to advocate for Asexuals and Aromantics this pride. Because we are also here, and we are also queer
#ramblings#im really passionate about my best friend#i was just proven right about this btw#and those situations did happen#i love her#so fucking much#might delete later

My friend watches Merlin: Part II
How many fucking things are under this castle The water supply, catacombs, dragon cave, the dungeons, and now mystery death cave
Killing magic stuff seemingly runs in the family Great-something grandpa ordered to kill a wizard just because he was powerful
“This isn’t more than just a story” ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME.
This motherfucker just straight up ready to replace Merlin after all the things he’s done for him Or at least seemingly so far
Arthur better get the fucking Zuko treatment in the end or I’m suing
AH FUCK I hate gargoyles Unless they’re designed specifically for monsterfuckers
Mmmmm I know it’s in the mythology but I’m not sure I like the Gwen X Arthur ship
Back to the fucking dragon I suppose
Oh the fucking king is going to be even more insufferable this season isn’t he God bless Merlin’s patience
Oh we playin’ switcheroo
Also I saw the name Odin on the wikipage about Nimue and I was expecting the actual god, not just some random king I’m low-key disappointed yet again
Merlin just absolutely spilled his feelings and he’s 100% correct No wonder he’s tired He’s been doing everything in this fucking kingdom
For a bounty hunter this guy is surprisingly charismatic
GO TELL HIM GIRL TEAR HIM TO SHREDS
Gwen single handedly carrying the friend group
Girl you think letting the guy who never touched a spatula cook the dinner is a good idea
See, told you Merlin has to do everything. Again.
Morgana is doing magic unknowingly And she’s scared And Merlin is like “let’s ask the druids” You know, the people who the king tries to murder for no reason Surely that’s a wonderful idea
WHY ARE THERE SCORPIONS IN ENGLAND
See I told you They’re on a hunt for the druids
This is bad this is bad this is bad
DEADER LIKE DRUID GUY SEE I FUCKING TOLD YOU
Damn Mordred is really something isn’t he According to the myth he’s like evil or something from what I remember And I 100% see why he would turn that way after all this bullshit
LMAO Arthur was like “Stop hitting on her, she’s out of your range”
Really when Gaius dies (which I fucking hope he’s not going to but he probably will) my heart will shatter
Nooo they got best girl
“She’s more than just a friend for us” I’m sorry but I can’t unsee the queer in this
Noooo I hate these things I’m usually fine with naked mole rats But these are so bad
Woooh boy they kissed I low-key like this pairing more honestly Just on vibes
This motherfucker is going to die in the most glorious way By a naked rat
You know how this series should have ended Poly relationship Morgana, Gwen, Lancelot, Arthur and Merlin
A troll is about to catfish the king I’m only like, 50% seeing the problem here Cause for all I care the king could just marry one of those rats from the last episode
Nu uh, you ain’t talking to my boy Gaius like that
Eeeewwww
Seriously? THIS is the first double episode? The fucking troll? I’m about to throw up from this fucking Troll
NGL Arthur is finally growing on me He’s having his moments
The king is bad as he is originally, but now under the curse he’s even worse
This bitch needs to die as soon as possible Cause I can’t take the king being like this one more episode I’m done with his bullshit on regular mode
NA AH YOU FUCKER YOU WON’T LET THE GANG’S HARD EARNED WORK ON ARTHUR TO GO TO WASTE
LISTEN IM A MONSTERFUCKER BUT I DRAW THE LINES
FINALLY
We’re done I never want to think about these episodes again Ever In my life
Awkward almost hug is awkward But I guess it’s a start
These two episodes Were probably my least favorites from the series so far
MERLIN YOU ARE A FUCKING IDIOT YOU HAVE BEEN ALMOST KILLED WAY TOO MANY TIMES WHEN YOU *HAD* TO USE MAGIC, AND WHEN YOU DON’T HAVE TO, YOU JUST DO IT FOR FUNSIES LIKE “OH I’M SURE THIS WILL BE FINE”
Oh goodie, one anti magic freak wasn’t fucking enough
DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE HURT GAIUS YOU HALF BALD MOTHERFUCKER OR I SWEAR TO ALL THE GODS
Morgana honey, you’re not helping
OHH THIS FUCKER
Yet again, Gwen is the MVP
Hah, get fucked
LEAVE MORGANA ALONE
YEAH, GET FUCKED
“Yeah I sentenced you to death despise everything you’ve done to me over the years, but I’ll pay for everything my people trashed in your house. We good, right?”
TELL HIM GAIUS MY MAN
I feel like magic ladies in shadowy places is going to be a recurring theme in this show Also stalking the royal family
Dang girl I always love a women who has “I can kick your ass” energy
Why do I feel like the king is lying about not knowing this woman
What’s with all the people and their names starting with Mor” Morgana, Mordred, Morgause
Mmmm She’s weird I don’t know if I like her vibes or not
I’m gonna give the misogyny a pass because this is like, around or older than the middle ages
Yeah the king definitely knows her
LMAO Why did he think letting MERLIN hold the rope was a good idea He’s a fucking twig
Bonding over dead parents, how nice
Ooooo family drama Half sisters
Arthur is growing on me
Dude I’m gonna cry
Mmmmm girl you’re a little sus
I would be ABSOLUTELY GLAD if he killed his father right then and there MERLIN W H Y I really fucking hope he knows he’s cutting the branch under himself everytime he says something bad about the magic, cause I can feel it all my 206 bones there will be a liar reveal episode or 2 where he tells Arthur about him being a wizard and it will be nasty
Yep, yep, fucking here we go again Merlin gets 2 black dots for this action, 1 for making the magic look bad and 1 for letting the king live
That’s exactly what I’m saying Gaius
Merlin you’re also a better person than me
Freya is so pretty
Aww, Merlin is trying to pick up a girl
Merlin trying to convince Arthur that he’s getting fat is true comedy Like how does he expect this won’t bite him in the ass later
Oof, there’s something wrong with this girl and it’s out of her control. It just reeks that energy
Oh shit I’m gonna cry by the end won’t I
✨kiss✨
Merlin you can’t just raid Morgana’s closet
LMAO Gwen
Arthur doesn’t even want to ask questions anymore At least he doesn’t judge 🤷♂️
KC I WENT THROUGH TOO MANY OF THESE SITUATIONS BEFORE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO KC IT’S SO CUTE I WENT THROUGH SO MANY EMOTIONS IN SO LITTLE TIME
Poor Arthur They keep fucking with him by making him fall in love with random women
Oh she’s a bitch
Ah shit, Mr. Magic Man
Oh my god This is going to end very bad
Gee, Merlin, it’s not like we had this exact fucking scenario last season KC THIS IDIOT IS CLIMBING A WALL
Woah there, that’s not consent Nevermind
Poor Gwen, she’s the real victim here
Damn, Arthur is getting his ass kicked Of course the answer is love What else would it be
Gwen saves the day
Oh shit Mordred is with bandits Oh i dont like where this is going Mordred is so cute tho And I love Morgana
Merlin what the fuck He straight up set up Mordred to be killed I wouldn’t forgive him either honestly
Ah shit, future vision spoilers
Honestly I’m still pro magic people in almost every way I’m also on the same side with Morgana Morgana is on thin fucking ice honestly But I get it I would do the same
Uther is just cutting the branch under himself day by day He got almost killed by his biological kid and got disowned by his adopted kid now officially after 2 times she tried to coup against him Honestly at this point if he doesn’t realise he’s doing something wrong then there’s no hope for him at all
Magic lady bringing back the dead: check
Couple of girlbosses having a chat in the middle of the woods Oh she’s back at her room, convenient
Oh no Plagues?
Baby’s first battle scar
Oh shit, we Sleeping Beauty now?
Mmmmmm girl, that’s sketchy
Props to Gaius’ actor for keeping that face
Holy shit even the fucking dragon’s asleep Nevermind
Oh my god KC I’m so worried Whaaa Holy shit he’s about to Socrates Morgana NOOOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOO
As much as I hate this dragon If I were in his place I would burn this place to the ground too
I hate how much I sympathize with the villains in this series Well “villains” There are no sides in this series
Oh my god Off to find daddy Well damn, daddy’s not half bad honestly
He is 101% correct
Such a nice moment I honestly teared up a little Yep, that’s what I expected It was too good to be true
They grow so much since the beginning Oh Merlin, you’re so humble You deserve the world Yeah close that window And never open it again Holy shit this was a good episode And a long one

Self-Recs lol.
Thanks for the tag @kaistrex! Ooh, I’m so excited to be doing this 💕 Choosing my top 5 fics that I’ve written + why is gonna be a challenge, but I’m sure I’ll enjoy 😊
1. All in Due Time | Gen | 4.6k
Derek realises he's in love with his little sister's best friend. What will he do?
Cue drama and pining! Though the drama is more on Malia, rather because of Malia, cuz damn can she get around!
I adore this fic of mine! Probably because it’s my first fic that I’ve ever written for the Sterek fandom and my first fic that I’ve published. It’s not my best work, but hey, everyone has to start somewhere!! And I actually honestly think my debut was okay. My writing style has definitely improved since then (I hope!) and I like, want to re-write this, :P But nah, it’s good as is.
2. It's a Katana | M | 8.3k
“The message says we all have to be there. The message, which is, you know, written in blood .” His voice cracked at the last word, heart stuttering in despair and guilt. “In his blood...” he whispered, so low that no one would have heard him if not for the absolute silence in his loft. There were so many people here, Scott, Allison, Kira, Isaac, Lydia, Ethan, Aiden, Argent, Sheriff, Melissa, Noshiko. And yet, Derek felt an absence, a searing pain in his being, his wolf restless at not being able to spot that one face, the smile that repressed so much, trauma, nightmares, every bad thing... the eyes that shone so bright, so full of life that whenever Derek dared to look into them, he felt like everything was fine, everything would be fine. The scent of mild anxiety and adderall and sun so bright Derek feared he’d never feel alive again until he was in Stiles’ presence.
This is one of my long one-shots! This is also where I actually wrote about void!Stiles and explored a BAMF!Kira, and I love how it turned out. I have also written this in past tense, which I used to do before, (like until a while back), which is weird to read now, at least in my own works. Also, this is probably my most ensemble cast fic (I have the memory of a goldfish, I don’t even remember half the things I should, let alone all the fics I’ve written about xD) which is a big thing, ‘cuz like, handling so many characters at once is pretty hard. Kudos to all those who can, seriously, you guys are awesome.
3. We Live and Breathe Words | T | 1.8k
The cashier—a guy about Cora's age with the cutest moles constellation ever and the eyes, they're like molten lava and Derek, for some reason, wants to swim in them—is busy reading a book, biting his lip as something obviously distressing happens to the characters.
Derek clears his throat. The Cashier doesn't look up. Curious, Derek leans forward, and he breaks into a smile as he sees the title of the book clutched tightly in the cashier's hands. He would see the tag, but unfortunately the cashier's name tag is hidden behind the copy of The Clockwork Angel.
This is probably my fluffiest work. Probably, I don’t know. But what I do know is, I love this fic. It has Sterek, Alive Hale Family and references to my favorite book series, like ever.
4. We Honor The Dead by Fighting For The Living | M | 5.9k
“But I killed them,” Derek whispers; he doesn’t think he could speak any louder. “I killed your family. You should hate me—”
“They died by the hands of destiny, not yours,” Mieczyslaw shouts, and Derek shivers in his arms. He lowers his voice. “Sorry. But you have to know. I can’t let you blame yourself for something you never did, and I’m- I am sorry for ever blaming you in the first place.”
OR
Prophet!Stiles and King!Derek, written for Full Moon Ficlet #445: Prophet.
Okay, yeah, so the summary isn’t all that good, but I feel like the story is pretty good. There’s some questionable “how did this happen?” stuff, but in the end I like the scenes :P
There’s flashbacks to Talia telling kid!Derek about the legend of Stiles’ people, a legend which I created, and I love Derek looking up to his mother like that, just enjoying some family time before tragedy (as it inevitably does) strikes. I also love how... purple prose-y this came out? I think that’s the term. Personally, I love the imagery, that was the most fun part to write in this.
5. Love Will Remember | T | 4.6k
The Wild Hunt takes Stiles.
Derek is the first one to remember who exactly is missing.
Because Love will remember.
Okay, firstly, I want to say that I keep mixing up “The Wild Hunt” and “The Ghost Riders” or whatever it is called because I am obsessed with all things supernatural and nobody ever thinks how confusing it is to have similar terms and because I am an idiot. So, don’t come at me for that lol.
This fic is making the cut solely because of the title :P I seriously love the vibes Selena’s song has, and I wanted to capture it but that didn’t happen... instead, this fic came to be, with my own take on S5. Also, I love how I wrote the ending, it’s pretty funny and happy. It also has it’s moment of angst, but overall, it’s a happy, good-feel fic, and I adore that.
This was honestly so fun to do. It’s really amazing to know I’ve so many fics actually do like lmao.
I tag: @greyhavenisback, @ilovepeachystuff, @raisesomehale, @deepestbelieverstranger and @novemberhush.

Forget me not (Part 1/3)
Pairing: Jake x MC
Words: 1,6k
Summary: Forgetting is hard but forgiving is harder.
Warnings: -
Chapters: 1, 2, 3
Forget me not - part one
You looked on the screen without thought in your head. The download bar was moving so slowly, that you couldn’t even pin it to actually move. The quiet humming coming from the countless computers filled the dark room with only you in there. Although, you were used to be alone, since that was the way of living you had performed for years already. You were alone and empty. You wouldn’t describe yourself alive, just plainly existing.
Something interrupted your catatonic state of just being alive and it took you a while to realize what it was. You looked your phone which had dim light with simple text on the screen.
MC: Please, could we just talk? I miss you.
Those blue eyes of yours read the message again and again and something warm sparked inside of you. You quickly diminished it when you found yourself thinking of her, the subject what you had forbidden yourself for weeks now. You swiped the message away from your screen and turned the phone screen down on the table. She would eventually stop.
-_-_-_-_-
Few days later, you received another message. You unlocked your screen and looked those words written by someone, who you didn’t deserve, but still wanted to be with you. God knows why.
MC: Jake, I really need to talk to you.
Something ached in your heart when you closed the message again and you sighed heavily. Why couldn’t she just let go? You had explained to her that this was for her own protection, and the image of her hurt face was burned in your mind. You could almost hear the sobs if you closed your eyes now. She didn’t know that you saw her though, because you were too coward to tell her that straight and instead took care of that by sending a text to her, but you had watched her from afar. How lame of you, but what else could you expect from twisted image of a man as you were.
You couldn’t resist yourself and you opened a CCTV in one of your screens. It showed her at work, in her tiny cubicle, as you knew her working schedule. You promised yourself that just this one time, you would allow yourself to look at her: her long brown curls, the worried face of hers and your favorite part; her neck. Oh, how you missed to be close to her, bury your face in her neck and smell that enchanting scent of lilies in her skin and shampoo on her hair. You couldn’t see it on the blurry CCTV, but she had a small mole just below her ear, where you had drawn circles in your finger when she slept. She was beautiful, as always; those soft lips of hers and you could remember them to whisper you all kinds of sweet words at the morning dusk, when she thought you were asleep. I love you; she had said and all you wanted to do, was embrace her and never let go of her.
But you did.
She was biting her lip again, what she always did when she was nervous. And it was because of you, and you knew it. She looked so fucking sad when she held her phone in her lap, looking at the screen, hoping that you would answer to her. But you couldn’t, and it was completely your own fault. You closed the CCTV and let your mind drift again to that emptiness, what had been your loyal companion always.
-_-_-_-_-_-
You received the next message in the same night, but you weren’t asleep since you never slept. You had only these nightmares what would follow you from dream to dream and sometimes you saw them during the days too.
MC: Don’t you think that I can decide myself what is good for me?
MC: You promised me that you would always be there for me, but there you are; not answering any of my text or calls.
You clenched your fists and saw that she was writing again. No, she was not capable of deciding where she should put herself in danger or not. She let her emotions cloud her judgment, and you had warned her since the beginning of the mission to find Hannah, that there should not be emotions involved because they would just make things harder. She couldn’t see it, but you could. Your pursuers had been on your tails and they were getting closer and closer.
When they had sent you that image, something broke inside of you and you just knew, that this happiness of yours was short-term. You had promised to her that you would always be there, but she forgot the most important promise that you had made to her; you would always protect her. And that was the promise which you were keeping, and you could never forgive yourself if something happened to her. She was dragged in to this involuntary, she hadn’t asked for it. Why should you put your feelings towards her to be more important that her life was?
The message coming from that image that your pursuers had sent you couldn’t be any clearer; it showed her coming out of her apartment door. They knew who she was and where she lived and what she meant to you. In that moment you had realized that she already was in mortal danger and you had put her in this position just simply loving her. It had to be stopped and no one else couldn’t do that for you, so it had to be you. You were going to break her.
MC: I fucking hate you
MC: I loathe you
MC: How can you do this to me?
The texts were coming quickly now, and you could see that she was frustrated and angry. Her words I fucking hate you and I loathe you felt like daggers in your abdomen, but at the same time, you were satisfied. The anger of hers would help her cope losing you and moving on. She deserved someone who could be there for her without putting her at risk, although even the thought of her being with someone else killed you slowly. But this had to be done.
MC: I loved you and I would have given my life for you
MC: And you threw me away like I am garbage
MC: I don’t want to hear from you ever again
Good, you thought, you never will. And with that thought you muted your phone and returned to your computer.
-_-_-_-_--
It had been two months now from the last message of hers and four since you had last met. You could see the sun getting up between the curtains and you switched your screen to her workplace’s system, just for the check up on her, as you did every morning. You searched her name in the list of employees logged on, but you couldn’t find her. You frowned and checked again, but she wasn’t there. With a few buttons you had opened the CCTV and looked at her cubicle, but it was empty.
Where was she?
The cubicle looked plain, and you realized that her plants and pictures were missing too. Personally, you didn’t understand of the concept of having all kind of distracting things on your desk, but considering that she always bought a new plant for substitute of what she had involuntary killed, she seemed to love them. Confused, you rewind the security tape to last day and stopped when she was shown on the tape and looked closely. She had a box with her, and she was picking up all her personal things from her desk and when she was done, she left. You followed her via the cameras of the elevator.
Maybe she got promotion and had gotten herself a new room?
But no, she went with her stuff to the elevator and took the trip down and left the building.
“What the fuck” you muttered and switched to her apartment’s hallway camera. You zoomed in her apartments door and saw that there was apparently a small family moving in. There was no sight of her in the video and her apartment seemed empty. You felt your heartbeat rising and your palms turned sweaty. You tried to log on her phone and use the GPS to track her, but she had turned her phone off.
“FUCK!” you yelled and threw the coffee mug you had, into the wall. Where had she gone?
You logged on her social medias, but she had updated those months ago, so they weren’t helpful. You had promised to her that you wouldn’t read her messages, but she didn’t leave you a choice, you had to know where she was. You saw that she had discussed with her friends, but the topics were daily stuff and chit chat.
You opened up her emails, but they weren’t important, containing only work-related mails and some recommendations from HBO, which suggested that she needed to re-watch Game of Thrones sixtieth time this year. She knew that you would investigate those while looking for you and she was doing her best on covering her tracks.
Few flying coffee cups later and you were shouting from frustration. You breathed heavily and stared the monitors. You had taught her well, but that was the point, you had taught her. You had told her that when she was booking any tickets or making any travel plans, she wasn’t supposed to use her own email as a verification, but spam email you had created to her, which servers were located some tiny island on the Caribbean Sea. You typed the address on your browser, and there it was, ticket confirmation mail.
Thank you for booking your trip to Duskwood from us!
Here are some tips for your journey –
You tried to read the message, but your brains didn’t oblige with you and you just kept looking those letters what didn’t make any sense. No fucking way…
Why was she going to Duskwood?

POODLES IN THE WASTELAND
i jest I jest
But 👀
What about pets? Either ones companions would have or a very uncommon one that someone wouldn’t think was a good pet, BUT IS. Deathclaws you can ride like a pony, mole rats that want belly rubs, cazadore’s as cattier pigeons! What are your thoughts?
Or like, Danse or Piper or Fawkes with something hilarious Idek ignore me
Oooookay, here’s my comprehensive list of companions - ALL companions, across Fallouts 3, 4, New Vegas and 76 - and their (headcanon) choices in wasteland pets. I’ll give a little explanation for each - particularly as many of these companions are transients and don’t have the luxury of owning a home to keep pets at. Also, I feel like most of the companions, while they might not necessarily like pets, would be somewhat fond or at least respectful of the pets of the Lone Wanderer/Courier/Sole Survivor/Vault Dweller, like Dogmeat and Rex.
Bighorners
Lily Bowen: Everyone’s favorite super mutant grandma is already an experienced shepherdess in Jacobstown, and she’s more than willing to tear some night stalkers apart to keep her herd safe. If that’s not love beyond the norm for wasteland livestock, I don’t know what is. She’s probably given all of her bighorners names after the characters in the television reruns she used to watch on holotape in Vault 17, like Grace and Audrey and Lucille.
Brahmin
Raul Tejada: Actually spent a decent part of his pre-war life living on a ranch, so he knows that most brahmin don’t deserve being labeled “irritable” just because people don’t know how to read their body language. I think he’d follow wild brahmin herds around a bit on a whim and keep them from coming to any harm, especially the little ones. He gives them names like the cattle he grew up with, Corazon and Gordo and Blanca.
Rose of Sharon Cassidy: Doesn’t truck with the wild herds, but she knows that part of the success of a caravan lies with how well they treat their pack animals. All of her caravan’s brahmin have names - Penny, Magic and Sprinkles - and she’s careful to pair them up with drivers who are patient and work well with their various personalities.
Cats
Butch DeLoria: While Butch ultimately decided to leave Vault 101 behind, I don’t think he would ever truly lose his fear of radroaches after what they did to his mom. Having a little friend to warm his bunk in Rivet City and pounce on intruders would probably set his mind at ease, maybe a black tomcat with one ear named Pepper. He might even gift his mom a kitten when he next comes to visit.
Star Paladin Cross: I don’t think Cross much sees the use of an animal that doesn’t contribute to the community it lives in, like most of the Brotherhood of Steel. Cats, however, are excellent at pest control, even if the rats are bigger nowadays. I think she’d give the resident cats at the Citadel some pets in passing, and she’d smile when she has to extract playful kittens from inside her power armor frame. She’s especially fond of the cat colony’s matriarch, a scarred old tabby named Gemma.
Curie: Upon her transition into a synth body, Curie is overjoyed with most animals and their new willingness to approach her for attention. She especially loves cats because she can pick them up and better feel their fur and purring. Her favorite cat is an orange stray in Diamond City that she calls Claude.
Piper Wright: A companion for Nat when she’s out adventuring, an unbiased friend to bounce the latest opinion piece off of before going to print, and a lap-warmer for when you’re typing up the latest article about the exploits of the Minutemen - what’s not to like? The Wright family cat is a slippery, elegant calico named Sugar Bomb.
Preston Garvey: While the Minutemen forts and settlements definitely lean more toward keeping dogs around for security purposes, I think Preston likes his pets quieter and less likely to bowl you over in excitement. The one most likely to sleep with him in his bunk at Sanctuary is a grumpy gray gentleman named Anchovy.
Deathclaws
Veronica Santangelo: If anyone is crazy enough to swipe a deathclaw egg from a nest and try to hatch, rear and train a personal killing machine named Izzy, it’s Veronica. This will probably just alienate her from her Brotherhood chapter even more, but I’m sure she would take special care to make sure that her usual Mojave Wasteland haunts take a peek through a scope to see if the approaching deathclaw has a human on its back before taking a shot.
Dogs
Clover: I don’t think Clover gets out beyond Paradise Falls much, so the only animals she’s used to are the dogs the raiders bring around when passing through. She probably has favorites among the usual visitors and enjoys tossing them bits of meat when she’s allowed to get away from Eulogy and Crimson. If liberated, she’d probably get at least three of her own dogs to watch over her while she sleeps: One small dog to carry with her, a Pekingese or Pomeranian descendant named Coco, and two large dogs to follow through on intimidation and protection, a mastiff named Rock and a Doberman descendant named Roll.
Jericho: Jericho doesn’t deserve a dog but he’d probably have one around anyway to sniff out caps caches and hidden loot after he’s shot everyone in the vicinity. Some slinky beagle mix named Dewey, probably.
Fawkes: I don’t think Fawkes would be picky at all about what kind of dog he’d have. He strikes me as the type who would adopt any half-friendly mutt he ran across. I do think he would have a bit of a soft spot for friendlier mutant hounds, though, and maybe view their mutated circumstances as similar to his own. He’d also be absolutely amazing at playing fetch. Just imagine how far he could lob a stick or ball. All of his dogs would have literary names too, like Byron and Agatha and Edgar.
Craig Boone: Though he’s a bit of a prodigy at sniping, Boone knows his limitations when it comes to spotting hidden enemies on the horizon. I can see him having a hound dog at his side to find the more elusive ones and help him get rid of them faster. Maybe a bloodhound mutt named Bravo.
Cait: Doesn’t like people, but she adores dogs. Having had the life where she’s been abused, exploited and forced into slavery, she’s keenly aware that those like the ones who took advantage of her treat dogs much the same. She’s very protective of any dog she encounters and is very likely to punch you in the face if you so much as look at one wrong. She’d probably name any pup she adopted Lucky.
Hancock: Honestly, he’s just a fan of any animal that is happy to hang out with you whether you’re drunk, high, fighting raiders or patrolling downtown Boston. The Goodneighbor strays know him as the guy who always has mirelurk jerky in his pockets. His favorite is a rough-and-tumble, black-and-white spotted cattle dog descendant that he cheekily calls King George.
Robert MacCready: He’s not quick to trust dogs, but once he’s sure they’re not a threat, they’re one of the few critters around which he’ll relax completely. He’s still a little wary of them around Duncan, but any dog that’s a part of his family is more or less his son’s permanent babysitter.
Nick Valentine: Dogmeat is also basically his dog. The two have a history of working cases together, with Dogmeat just turning up whenever a trail goes cold and leading Nick to the evidence he needs to reopen his investigation. Nick doesn’t know how or why Dogmeat does it, but he’s not about to ruin a good thing.
Strong: I don’t think he would turn down a ferocious mutant hound as a friend. He’d probably feed it mole rats and call it something like Killer.
Foxes
Beckett: This former raider has a love-hate relationship with a fox that keeps going through his trash. He affectionately calls him Lil’ Bastard.
Sofia Daguerre: Having crashed back to an earth she doesn’t recognize, I think Sofia would be tickled that the foxes of Appalachia have basically stayed the same despite the bombs. I can see her leaving dinner scraps out on her porch for one that she sometimes spots in the foliage, and slowly coaxing the critter to come into the light. She names her Scarlett once she finally convinces her to eat out of her hand.
Mega sloths
Settler forager: I would not be at all surprised if this man ran into a mega sloth in the Mire and decided to try befriending it. The creature, probably surprised at this old guy’s nerve, decided to accept the handful of leaves he offered and grew slowly more fond of the guy’s persistence. It doesn’t know its name is Fergus but it does know that if a human is wearing overalls, it’s probably not a threat.
Mole rats
Deacon: Alright, hear me out. Deacon has a fondness for underdogs, and mole rats are about as underdog as they come. I think Deacon thinks these little guys are cute despite their wrinkles and buck teeth, and I think he sees the value in having a tunneling pet that likes to collect shiny things. One of his deep cover hideouts is in an old tunnel system in the northern Commonwealth, where he hangs out with a young mole rat named Henry.
Owls
Raider punk: This radio operator got wind of an abandoned nest of owlets in Appalachia early on in his career and, being the nearest to the report, decided to rescue the little guys. Now he has three owls that occasionally drop in at his camp to hoot and accept handouts: Nona, Decima and Morta. While he’s still fond of them, he’s usually disappointed that they aren’t the Mothman coming to visit.
Rad chickens
Yasmin Chowdhury: Ever the opportunistic cook, she picked up the practice of raising chickens from the settlers at Foundation and has four hens of her own: Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme. The “ladies,” as she refers to them, give her a constant stream of eggs for omelets.
Ravens
Settler wanderer: This gal has an affinity with birds, who are always on the move like her. She admires their ability to be untethered and let the wind take them far and wide. Nevertheless, she likes to scatter corn when they come close to her on the road, and formed a sort of friendship with a particularly handsome specimen that she calls Tornado.
Wolves
Old Longfellow: This guy is the epitome of the meme about dads not wanting pets and then instantly falling in love with whatever animal enters their life. He probably found an injured wolf pup in his travels around the island and took pity on it, nursing it back to health in his cabin. It’s still got a bit of a twisted paw, but follows him around and listens like any other dog and answers to the name Lamoine.
Yao guai
Porter Gage: I bet this guy adopted an orphaned bear cub and raised it by hand. Now it’s so big that even if Gage thinks he’s an easy target for other raiders due to his age, he’s much less likely to get singled out than he thinks because he has a yao guai following him around like a puppy. The bear’s name is Fuzzy Wuzzy. It has no hair.
No pets, thanks
Charon: Too likely to accidentally wind up in the line of fire.
Sergeant RL-3: Too easily corrupted by Communist influences.
Arcade Gannon: Too much time spent getting in your way.
Codsworth: Too likely to make messes.
Paladin Danse: Too many wasted resources.
X6-88: Too much of a liability.
Ada: Too easy to lose when on the move.
Solomon Hardy: Too unsanitary.

What’s your opinions about the uk tour cast/character choices vs the west end?
Hi anon! Sorry this is late coming, for some reason Tumblr didn’t send me this notification.
I’m gonna go through and try to hit the main characters, in no particular order.
Mole: I think Fra Fee is adorable, and I think he does a great job with the wide-eyed curiosity of Mole, but I do find that he plays the character with broader strokes, which makes the show feel a bit more like children’s theatre, and less like a family show. With that said, his version of “A Place to Come Back To” is STUNNING, and might actually surpass Craig Mather’s performance for me.
Ratty: Oh boy. Uh. I am not a fan of Thomas Howes’ Ratty. One of my absolute favorite things about the West End production is how Ratty becomes a bit more of an everyman, and I think that Simon Lipkin brings a tremendous warmth to the role. Take this with a grain of “I think Simon Lipkin is the best Ratty of all time,” with the POSSIBLE exception of Richard Briers (and Peter Sallis, but I don’t think he’s a fair comparison because he got MUCH more material to work with, since he played Ratty in the Cosgrove Hall series, and never technically played him in an adaptation of the book itself). Thomas Howes’ Ratty reminded me a LOT of Mark Gatiss’ Ratty in the 2006 film, and I’ve never been a fan of him in the role, although he does have his moments. I think Thomas Howes’ portrayal can be quite mean-spirited at times, and as interesting as it was to see the nods to “Wayfarers All” in the musical, there wasn’t much payoff, since Ratty never made an actual attempt to leave the Riverbank. Since his arc was less about his relationship with Toad in the tour, I felt like his story didn’t go anywhere much. The Andrew Gordon adaptation of The Wind in the Willows does a lovely job incorporating “Wayfarers All” into the story, and I would have LOVED a similar treatment here.
Toad: I actually slightly prefer Rufus Hound in the tour! I think he’s got just a bit more pathos, and he gets some really funny moments that got cut for the West End production (“short of murder,” as an example). I love him in both productions, but I do think he’s slightly better in the tour. Overall I don’t have a lot to say about him though, because the performances are similar.
Badger: David Birrell is a lovely Badger, but I’m typically not the biggest fan of making Badger Scottish, because I feel like it leans into…whatever was happening in the Disney version too much (and yes, I do blame the Disney version, because MacBadger is the earliest version of Scottish!Badger I’ve been able to find, and it’s SURPRISINGLY prevalent). I also just think Gary Wilmot was a really good Badger. HOWEVER, it makes me so sad that they changed Badger’s line in the end to “no one’s ever said that to me before” from him saying that it had been a “long time” since anyone had said that they loved him on the tour. It really expresses Badger’s solitude and (in my opinion) his closeness with, at the least, Toad’s father. So BIG points for that. Overall, I really enjoyed David Birrell’s performance! I do slightly prefer Gary Wilmot’s voice. However, having read a quote from David Birrell discussing the character, he has a really lovely handle on Badger.
Chief Weasel: Honestly, I think Neil McDermott KILLS this role in both productions. I do think he got to play around a bit more vocally in the tour, but honestly, aside from that, he’s equally good across the board.
Lesser Weasel: Dylan Mason was a good Lesser, but come on, I think it’s no secret that the fandom LOVES Joshua Gannon’s Lesser Weasel. He really brings the role to life.
Cheryl Stoat: She has so little dialogue, it’s hard to compare. Both actresses sound great!
Mrs. Otter: I think Sophia Nomvete technically has a slightly better voice, but I prefer Denise Welch’s characterization. In Sophia’s defense, though, I think the tour really mostly looked at Mrs. Otter as a genderswapped version of Otter from the book, whereas she’s more of a new character in her own right in the West End production. Otter in the book is more of a friend/peer of Ratty’s, and I think that shows through in the tour, on but the West End she was more of a mother figure.
Portia: Holly Willock’s voice is GORGEOUS, but I think her dialogue was a bit too understated. Emilie du Leslay’s Portia felt more childlike. Once again, this might be to do with Portia becoming more of her own character, rather than a gender-swapped version of Portly, who was a bit milder in temperament.
The Hedgehogs: James Gant and Jenna Boyd are both too consistently good to compare them to themselves, in my opinion. They are excellent both times.
I think that covers the main characters! But I reserve the right to add onto this tomorrow, after I’ve slept.
Thanks for the question!

Jang Hanseo, my personal thoughts.
As the puppet of his brother that would eventually be cast aside, Hanseo took a leap of faith to fight against the puppeteer and the strings that tied him up. While he used to be a coward that would run away with his tail tucked between his legs, he matured into a young man who could stand for what he wished for and what he believed was right. Overall, his character leaves behind a message that left many thoughts for me to ponder and write about. Buckle up, and hopefully enjoy.
(PSA:
This will be less wordy than my previous draft, which tumblr ungratefully destroyed. It's okay. You are saved from my wordiness.
PSA 2.0
This is somewhat of a character analysis. It pretty much is. I'm not perfect at character analyses, so hopefully you get what I'm trying to say. If not, my bad.)
Jang Hanseo's first impression on me wasn't that memorable. He appeared somewhat snobby, much like typical CEO rich men, but he lacked confidence. It was almost like he wasn't the one pulling all the strings - like someone was pulling his own.
Almost immediately after, he's revealed as a puppet of the real figurehead of Babel - although their identity is not revealed until a few episodes later, his interactions with his puppeteer highlight his cowardice and weak attempt to stay on their good side. His cowardice makes up the foundation of his character.
When Hanseok - the puppeteer - is revealed, his relationship with Hanseo can be examined with much more depth. Hanseok has obviously caused Hanseo to fear him, in order to prevent him from acting out of line. But Hanseo still has some bits of resilience left in him, even after Hanseok thinks he's smoothed it all out.
Hanseo is seen voicing his wishes to be free from his brother multiple times. Of course, he is afraid of what his brother might do to him, or he's fearful of what he might lose if he turns away from his brother's side. Even so, he shows enough resilience to want to break free from his brother's control.
Hanseo finds an ally in Han Seunghyuk, a friend who resembles him when it comes to cowardice. Hanseo probably knows but doesn't acknowledge that Seunghyuk is not enough to break free from his brother, but he still follows his advice and acquires the necessary means to take his brother out once and for all.
Although Hanseo has the determination, he lacks the confidence. He does a shabby job of injuring his brother, which is nowhere near a successful kill. He doesn't have the confidence to kill his own brother, which can be seen in his hesitation throughout their hunting scene. A part of him still considers Hanseok part of his family. It holds him back, which is why is he is unable to kill Hanseok that day.
His failure only makes his brother more aggravated. Hanseok is now aware that his puppet's strings are starting to become loose and thin, to the point of breaking. He reins his brother back in, using the tactics he's always used, and decides he needs to come out from the shadows.
Now, Hanseo might think that he's finally been tossed aside as a puppet. But deep down, he realizes that he's nowhere near safe yet, because he's under his brother's radar, and who knows what Hanseok might pull in retaliation for his stunt during their hunting trip. While Hanseok might talk sweetly and make him believe that he won't be harmed, both brothers know that can be changed in an instant.
Even with Seunghyuk on his side, Hanseo knows that he needs something else to grab on. His final straw.
Vincenzo Casanova Cassano.
When Mr. Consigliere intereferes with Hanseok's intitiation ceremony, Hanseo looks at him with awe. He knows that Vincenzo is the enemy of his brother, the enemy of him, but he needs to find a method to keep himself safe and free from Hanseok's iron control.
Seunghyuk's suggestion to meet Vincenzo is the lifeline that Hanseo grabs onto with his dear life. He won't let go after this.
While their first meeting is unsightly and particularly rude on Vincenzo's behalf, Hanseo most likely believes that Vincenzo is the only way he can be free. He even offers to deliver his brother into Vincenzo's hands, to which the mafia man says he doesn't interfere within family matters.
Even so, Hanseo does not give up. Instead, he becomes one of the moles that Vincenzo wisely utilizes. In some instances, his quick thinking got Vincenzo out of some sticky situations - particularly the situation with the INTERPOL. Hanseo's actions reflect his decision to follow Vincenzo and support him, which is something he may not have even done with Hanseok.
Hanseo's bond with Vincenzo is special. He regards him as a brother, someone he feels much more comfortable with than his actual brother. His bond with Vincenzo allows him to shrug off the strings that his brother placed on him, and he starts to grow out of his own shell. He begins to spread his own wings, and become more confident in his character.
When Jipuragi reunites with Wusang in court, Hanseo makes clear whose side he's on. Seated next to his "Vin hyung", he flaunts his relationship with the Italian lawyer to his associates and a very peeved Choi Myunghee. He's happy to be by his side, and he doesn't regret it one bit.
(I found this interaction between Vincenzo and Hanseo absolutely precious. They're just two brothers looking out for one another.)
To the very end, his loyalty towards Vincenzo never wavered. Even as Hanseok promised to spare Hanseo if he just followed his orders, Hanseo ignored his brother's potentially false words and retaliated - he's ready to be finally free. He knows that once he goes down this road, there's no turning back.
As Hanseo calmly says, he "will make a choice that [he] won't regret". (This is my favorite quote ever. Not even gonna lie to you.)
In his tussle with Hanseok, Chayoung becomes one of the injured. With quick thinking, Hanseo sacrifices himself and fights with Hanseok for control of his gun once more. He sets himself up as the sacrifice so his brother won't harm the other two, which is completely unlike his character thus far. Hanseo has always feared his brother and his abuse, but he now places himself in the way of bullet in order to protect Vincenzo and Chayoung.
In the end, he takes the bullet. He's free from his brother, but at what cost? His own life. It's an ending that Hanseo knows was coming.
Hanseo's character has always had to make very difficult decisions. Whether it was to follow his brother's orders, betray his brother, suck up his pride and plead to his brother for a second chance, follow Seunghyuk's advice, or even take to Vincenzo's side, Hanseo has had multiple decisions that affected his growth as a person. If Hanseo hadn't taken the leap of faith to follow Vincenzo and break free from his brother, he might've been stuck at the strings of his brother's doing for much longer. He might've died at his brother's hands as nothing more than a pawn waiting for its removal, rather than die in his attempt for freedom.
Hanseo is a character that endlessly struggled for what he wanted, and some might say he died in vain. He would probably disagree with that. While he still feared his brother, he didn't let that fear overtake him; he looked death in the eye as he was willing to sacrifice himself for his loved ones' sake. He no longer cowered in fear; he bravely stood for what he believed was right.
All in all, Jang Hanseo was not a character who died in vain. His story of redemption leaves behind a reminder to viewers that struggling may be necessary to move onto a life that is much more fulfilling; you don't always get the easy way out. Hanseo was scared, he was always scared of his brother, but he also summoned the courage to stand against his own brother, simply because he wanted to be free. He was strong enough to fight against his brother, rather than sit by and let him do what he wanted.
Hanseo didn't die with regrets. He was happy to finally be free.

Halloween was one of Nina’s favorite times of year. At home they had always celebrated a weird cultural mishmash of American Halloween, Dia de los Muertos, and All Saints’ Day. Nina’s mom made the same pan de muerto and mole that generations before her had made for years in Colima, while Nina’s dad made sure there were both chrysanthemums and marigolds on the family altar.
This year, though, Nina wasn’t going to be with her family for the holiday. It felt strange. So, to get her mind off things, she’d decided to go to this Halloween party. The atmosphere was very spooky, and the theming of the drinks was spot on.
“My god, I think the Grim Reaper is actually killing me. What is even in this?”
