The cameras are relentless, flashing like fireworks, but you barely blink. Instead, you smile—glossy and sweet, like sugar hiding something sharper underneath. You tilt your head just so, letting the light dance off your sparkly mini dress, every inch of you shining like you were born to be here. Maybe you were? Oh who were you kidding? You are born for this.

Lily stands beside you, perfect and polished, but her nails dig into your wrist—a silent warning. “Be nice,” she murmurs, low and urgent, though you know she doesn’t really expect you to listen.

It’s been hours since your record label dropped the Love on Repeat Tour announcement, and the world has not stopped talking. The fans? Feral. The tabloids? Already sharpening their knives. And the whispers? Oh, they’re delicious.

You and Sirius Black. Same stage. Same tour. Same mess waiting to happen.

And, if the headlines are anything to go by, most people think you’ll either kiss or kill each other before the first encore.

And honestly? You’re not really leaning toward the former option.

The first reporter practically bounces as you glide up, microphone clutched tight. “Okay, big question of the night,” she says, voice bubbling over with excitement. “The Love on Repeat Tour. You and Sirius Black. Who thought that was a good idea?”

You blink—slow, syrup-sweet. “Oh, not me,” you say, with a soft little laugh that’s barely innocent. “I mean, I don’t need the extra publicity…” You pause, just a beat too long. “But I guess not everyone’s that lucky.”

Lily’s fingers tighten like she’s rethinking her entire career.

The reporter’s jaw drops—just a little—but you’re already tilting your chin, all wide-eyed and curious, like you can’t imagine why anyone would think you’re being shady.

“And how do you plan to survive a whole tour together?” the reporter presses, like she’s waiting for you to crack. “You and Sirius—well, there’s history.”

You blink again, lashes fluttering. “Oh, I’m really easy to get along with,” you say sweetly. “And I’m always happy to help people reach their full potential. Even if it takes… a little extra effort.”

Lily exhales like she’s praying for patience.

Another reporter cuts in, eyes gleaming like they’re waiting for blood. “There’s a lot of talk online that the label had to convince you two to do this. Any truth to that?”

You tilt your head, hair slipping over your shoulder like silk. “Hmm…” you hum, all soft and thoughtful, like you’re really considering it. “I mean, I didn’t need much convincing. It’s always nice to give someone else a chance at the spotlight—when you’ve already had so much of it yourself, you know?”

The mic shakes in the reporter’s hand as she bites back a laugh. Lily, on the other hand, looks about five seconds from popping a blood vessel.

“No bad blood then?” The next question comes, sharp and direct, but you just smile—bright, bright, dangerous.

“Bad blood?” You giggle, twirling a strand of hair around your finger. “Oh, no! I mean… it’s cute. He tries so hard.” Your voice softens, like you’re really rooting for him. “I think he likes having someone to keep up with.”

There’s a collective gasp from the press line, but you just keep smiling—so sweet it hurts.

“And you’re excited for the tour?”

Your smile stretches, soft and dreamy. “Of course,” you purr. “I love a challenge.” You let the words linger, eyes glittering. “And… well, he’s definitely going to be one.”

The cameras explode with flashes, questions flying faster now, but you just offer a final, perfect smile before turning on your heel.

And if you had to guess? He’s probably smiling.
