I love the contrast between the two petitons for help for Navarro, Din's earnest plea for aid that may help the covert grow and move forward being accepted vs Teva's equally earnest plea that the New Republic not ignore the rise of the empire being smothered by red tape; Vizla standing up and agreeing with Din vs Kane sliding in to ensure no action is taken; taking up arms in the name of a brighter future vs indifference

The beskar is a red herring

Okay, so it's pretty common knoweldge that beskar ore is the Mandalorians' bread and butter, so it makes sense that Teva's first thought uppon discovering it onboard the shuttle is that the Mandalorians snatched Gideon.

While that's still entirely possible, given that we don't know every group of the Mandalorian diaspora outside of the Watch and Bo's former fleet, I can't help but feel it's meant to distract us.

Let's not forget that after the purge the Empire looted Mandalore, stealing large amounts of beskar; Din was even paid in some of this beskar for retrieving Grogu.

I would like to remind everyone of Morgan Elsbeth from season 2, who had the beskar spear. What's more, Ahsoka later reveals that Elsbeth is working for one Grand Admiral Thrawn.

I think an Imperial faction, either Gideon's loyalists (who may or may not be working for Thrawn), or Thrawn's faction itself, is making use of beskar weapons.

Like, to me the full scope of its politics weren’t obvious upon its first episode this season at first I needed it broken down, but like they really keep doubling down on this fascist/reactionary messaging in the mandalorian that it’s blatant now. Like “Huh, why is Greef offering mando land that seems out of character” to “oh they’re doing settler colonialism. They are literally clearing out undesirables to colonize and have an ineffective liberal government and a guy with reactionary views wrote this.” Anyway My opinion now is eternally this with the bad politics included
