Yes yes Johnlock is super super obvious but can we talk about that one scene where Sherlock calls John “clever boy”? That was so uncalled for. “Oh, clever boy, I’ve missed you fumbling around the place.” I beg your pardon???
Excuse the awful video quality, finding Sherlock scenes online is not easy

"Phone her, text her, do something, while there’s still a chance. Because the chance doesn’t last forever. Trust me, Sherlock, it goes before you know it. BEFORE. YOU. KNOW. IT"
And then Sherlock looks like that

Looking at John helplessly, eyes intermittently twitching towards him.
Look, I know John is talking about Mary here, and I also know our dear detective's aware of that.
HOWEVER !
The way Sherlock just. Looks devastated. means he understood perfectly what John said.
More than that, he feels it.
But at the end of the conversation, Sherlock doesn't go "ah, yes, you're right, let me phone her, let me go to Irene Adler."
No, he goes to comfort John. To stay with him. He embraces him.
And when John admits the "cheating" part, Sherlock immediately connects this to "even I text her sometimes. The Woman"
Sherlock associates texting Irene Adler with cheating on someone. I'm pretty sure that's why he never does it.
On who, I wonder ?
#the answer is John Watson#in case that wasn't clear#JUST LOOK AT HIM ! JUST LOOK AT HIS EYES ! People: Sherlock is a cold, calculating machine
Sherlock: picks a fight with a serial killer and takes near-fatal amounts of drugs because Mary told him that's the only way he can save John

exactly this!! i get so confused with how different tv shows and even the same tv shows portray murder. if there was a circumstance in which it’s justifiable (like the cabbie) and sherlock did this all for mary then HOW could they be taking the murder angle!??
i don’t have empathy for CAM as a human being at all, don’t know how they do. john’s also a “murderer.”
ACTUALLY!!! that scene should’ve had SHERLOCK and lestrade talking and lestrade asking if they saw it coming. the same quote — we always saw it coming but it was fun — goes for john far better than for sherlock. GET OUT.
also, i don’t buy for a second mycroft would forgive john so easily for that??? like he didn’t just hospitalize sherlock he nearly KILLED him. that was attempted murder. nurse cornish and john really wondering whether he’s going to “pull through” confirms that.
A lie
that is preferable to the truth.
Murder. Sacrifice.

i’m still mad about Dr. John Hamish Watson answering the question “what type of bones?” with “i don’t know? small?” he’s a doctor. he would recognize human bones!

The Lying Detective really shows how absolutely miserable Sherlock is without John. He attempts therapy, he relapses into his drug habit, he implies that he’s suicidal “you’re suicidal, you’re allowed chips. Trust me, it’s about the only perk”, he’s tired, his hair is messy and outgrown, his face isn’t shaved, his clothes are carelessly thrown on, he almost sends a client to the police because it’s “too weird for him”, his flat is a mess, Wiggins is practically looking after him to make sure he’s alive, there’s not a single person in his general vicinity that’s not worried about him
So yes you can deny Johnlock all you want but take one look at the state of Sherlock Holmes after being abandoned by John and tell me that he doesn’t love that man more than life itself

ANOTHER reversed heart monitor.
This time FLATLINED.
WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING
seriously look at this
we can clearly see when smith let go of sherlock he did NOT flatline at all:

and when john checked the saline bag it was visibly still going as well:

THEN right after “what kind of a doctor are you” the heart rate waveform became a line going from left to right stamping out the patterns???
sorry about the shite quality I can’t see it either let’s try again:
after that while the monitor’s beeping was still audible there were nothing but lines on the screen:

Tell me I’m not seeing things.
#seriously. WHAT. is going on.#never seen this in the fandom before so excuse my overreaction#i don’t usually rewatch tld it’s fucked up to a point where i’ll get haunted by john watsons for days#so glad my neighbors aren’t home today to be tortured by my crazed screaming and singing#bbc sherlock#sherlock bbc#sherlock#sherlock s4#the lying detective#tld#sherlock holmes#john watson#tjlc#s4 fuckery#heart monitor#sherlock meta#my meta#metas#buckingham-ashtray

"My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What may we deduce about his heart?" (A Scandal in Belgravia, S2E1) ask Mrs. Hudson. Oh he's not about thinking, not Sherlock. No, no, no. He's more emotional, isn't he? (The Lying Detective S4E2)
Mycroft you were supposed to the cleverer one. buddy you still miss facts in front of your face.
