On Monday, Oscar stood outside her hotel door, heart pounding in his chest. He had rehearsed this confrontation over and over in his mind, but now that he was here, the weight of it felt unbearable. Every instinct told him to walk away, to leave this mess behind, but he couldn’t—not yet. He needed to see her, to hear it from her lips. He needed answers. Closure.
With a shaky breath, he knocked.
There was a long pause, and then the door creaked open. She stood there, looking as effortlessly composed as ever. Her dark eyes gleamed in the low light of the hallway, her lips curling into that soft, practised smile he knew too well. She was dressed casually, her hair falling loosely around her shoulders, but even now, even after everything, she looked like she had stepped out of a dream.
“Oscar?” Her voice was soft, almost surprised, though something flickered behind her gaze—a quick flash of recognition, of something calculating. “What are you doing here?”
He swallowed hard, trying to keep his composure. "We need to talk."
She hesitated, but then she stepped aside, gesturing for him to come in. The hotel room was immaculate, a polished, sterile space that felt more like a set than a home. Oscar walked in, the air heavy between them, his pulse racing as the door clicked shut behind him.
"What's going on?" SHe asked, her voice gentle, almost soothing, as she moved closer to him. She tilted her head, that familiar gesture that had once made him feel like he was the centre of her world. "You seem upset. Is everything okay?"
Oscar's jaw tightened. He had to focus. He couldn't let her pull him back into her orbit, not again. He turned to face her, his hands balled into fists at his sides. "I know everything."
Her expression didn’t change, but there was a flicker in her eyes—a brief shift, barely noticeable, but Oscar saw it. She took a step back, her brow furrowing in confusion. "What are you talking about?"
"Lando," Oscar said, the name like a rock in his throat. "I know you're with him. I know you’ve been with him this whole time."
For a moment, there was silence. Oscar could hear the blood rushing in his ears, his heart hammering in his chest as he waited for her response.
She blinked, and then, to his astonishment, she let out a soft, almost amused laugh. "Oh, Oscar... is that what this is about?"
His stomach twisted. The way she dismissed it, the way she said his name—it sent a chill down his spine. He clenched his jaw, trying to hold on to his anger, to the clarity he had felt just minutes ago. "Don't play games with me. You’ve been lying to me. To both of us."
Her expression softened, her eyes widening as she reached out to touch his arm. Her fingers were warm, familiar, and he hated how much his body responded to her touch, how a part of him still craved that connection. "Oscar," she whispered, her voice like honey, "I never lied to you. I care about you, I really do. But things... things are complicated."
He pulled away from her, his skin burning where her hand had been. "Complicated?" he repeated, his voice harsher than he intended. "You made me believe you were a single mum. You made me think you were raising Lea on your own while you were playing both of us!"
Her expression faltered, and for the first time, she looked genuinely uncomfortable. But it was fleeting. She quickly replaced it with a look of soft concern, stepping closer to him again. "Oscar, you're misunderstanding this. Yes, I’m with Lando, but you and I... what we have is different. I never intended for this to get so messy."
"Messy?" Oscar felt his pulse quicken with a new surge of anger. "You manipulated both of us! You used us! This wasn’t some accident—this was calculated!"
Her face hardened, her eyes sharpening as she took a step back. "Calculated?" she echoed, her voice cool now, losing that tender edge. "You think I planned this? That I sat there and schemed to ruin your lives? You’re overreacting, Oscar."
The shift in her tone was like a slap in the face, but Oscar refused to let her twist this around. He took a step forward, closing the space between them. "Don't try to gaslight me," he said, his voice low, trembling with the effort to stay in control. "You knew exactly what you were doing. You knew who I was before you even sat down next to me in that bar in Chicago. You knew everything about me because Lando told you about me. And you used that."
Her eyes flashed, but then, just as quickly, she softened again, her lips curling into that same seductive smile that had once unravelled him. She stepped closer, so close he could feel her breath against his skin. "Oscar," she whispered, her hand brushing against his chest. "I didn’t plan this. I didn’t mean to hurt you. You and I… we have something special, don't we? You felt it, didn’t you?"
His breath hitched. The closeness of her, the way her voice wove around him, made it hard to think. For a moment, the anger inside him wavered, like a candle flickering in a gust of wind. He could feel the pull of her, the way she knew exactly how to make him weak, how to make him question everything.
But this time—this time he couldn’t let her win.
Oscar clenched his fists, stepping back from her, putting distance between them. His voice trembled, but he forced the words out, each one like tearing away a piece of himself. "No. We don’t have anything. You don’t care about me. You never did."
Her eyes narrowed, the smile fading. There was a flash of frustration in her expression, a quick flicker of anger, but she quickly masked it. "Oscar, you're being dramatic. I never lied about my feelings for you."
"Then why didn’t you tell me about Lando?" he demanded, his voice rising. "Why didn’t you tell him about me?"
She hesitated, her gaze shifting just slightly, and for the first time, Oscar saw something—guilt—flicker across her face. But it was gone as quickly as it came. She straightened, her chin lifting defiantly. "You don’t understand what it’s like, Oscar. It wasn’t as simple as choosing between the two of you. I have responsibilities—Leo, my career. I couldn’t just… I couldn’t just drop everything for you."
Oscar felt his heart drop at the mention of Leo, the boy she had lied about so easily. "Don’t bring your son into this to justify your lies."
Her eyes darkened, and for the first time, her voice hardened. "You don’t get it, do you? You never really did. You think this is black and white, that I was just stringing you along for fun. But life isn’t that simple."
Oscar shook his head, stepping back even farther. "You’re right. Life isn’t simple. But you made the choice to lie. And you made the choice to hurt the people who cared about you."
For the first time, She properly faltered. Her shoulders sagged slightly, and she let out a long, shaky breath. But Oscar didn’t let it sway him. He knew better now.
“I’m done,” Oscar said, his voice firm, final. “I’m done letting you twist everything around, making me doubt myself. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t keep playing with people like this.”
She stared at him for a long moment, her eyes searching his face for any sign of weakness, any opening she could exploit. But this time, Oscar didn’t waver. He stood his ground.
Finally, she let out a soft, almost imperceptible sigh. She crossed her arms, her expression hardening into something cold, distant. "Fine," she said, her voice clipped, devoid of the warmth she had used to manipulate him for so long. "If that’s how you want it."
Oscar nodded, feeling the weight of the moment settle over him. "That’s how it has to be."
For a moment, they stood in silence, the air between them thick with tension. Then, without another word, Oscar turned and walked out the door, closing it behind him.
And for the first time in months, he felt free.
A few weeks passed, and the bruises she had left on Oscar’s soul slowly began to fade. The races rolled on, and life at the paddock resumed its relentless pace. After everything, Oscar had managed to distance himself from the chaos she'd stirred within him. Lando, too, had cut her out. They’d had one more awkward conversation, full of unspoken regrets, but in the end, it was clear—they had both been played. She had woven her lies so intricately that they'd been trapped before they even knew there was a game.
She had vanished from their lives as swiftly as she had entered, severing ties as though they had never mattered. No apologies, no lingering farewells. Just a cold, calculated exit.
At first, Oscar couldn't shake the remnants of her presence. The memories would sneak up on him, whispering doubts and ghosts of feelings he wished would disappear. But as the weeks went by, he felt a shift, the grip of her seduction loosening its hold. He worked. He drove. He focused. Lando did the same, both of them rebuilding in their own way.
There were moments when they crossed paths at the paddock, moments when an awkward silence hung in the air, a quiet understanding between two men who had fallen into the same trap. But they never spoke of her again. The chapter was closed, the storm that was her had passed.
Or so they thought.
It was just another race weekend. The paddock buzzed with the usual excitement, the hum of engines and anticipation swirling through the air. Oscar walked toward the garages, the sun casting sharp shadows on the tarmac. He felt lighter now, the weight of the past weeks slowly lifting, the sting of her betrayal a fading memory.
He glanced toward the familiar motorhomes, watching the familiar faces of drivers, engineers, and media moving like clockwork. Just another race day.
Logan strolled up beside him, looking far more relaxed than usual. “You ready for this weekend?” he asked casually, but there was an edge to his tone, something that made Oscar glance sideways.
“What’s up?” Oscar asked, slowing his pace. Logan’s nonchalance always had a purpose.
Logan hesitated, then rubbed the back of his neck with a sigh. “Look, I wasn’t going to say anything, but... have you seen the news?”
Oscar raised an eyebrow. “News?”
“About the grid,” Logan continued. “New couple spotted. Not that it’s really our business, but I figured… after everything… you should know.”
Oscar’s stomach sank. He hadn’t been paying attention to gossip, deliberately keeping his head down, but now a flicker of dread curled in his chest.
“Who?” Oscar asked, his voice tighter than he intended.
Logan pulled out his phone, scrolling before handing it to Oscar. “You’re not going to like this.”
The headline flashed across the screen: New F1 Couple Alert—Charles Leclerc Caught in Steamy Romance With Mysterious Brunette.
Oscar’s heart pounded in his ears as he scrolled through the article. His breath caught in his throat as he saw the photos. They were grainy, taken from a distance, but unmistakable. A man—one of the newer drivers, Charles—with his arm around a woman. A woman with long, dark hair and sharp, seductive features.
It was her.
Oscar’s grip tightened on the phone, the image burning itself into his mind. There she was, smiling that same smile, her lips curled in the same way that had once left him breathless. The same way she had smiled at him, at Lando, before turning their worlds upside down.
“I can’t believe it,” he muttered, handing the phone back to Logan. “She’s doing it again.”
Logan exhaled sharply. “Yeah, looks like it. It’s like she’s got a thing for drivers, mate. I didn’t want to bring it up, but... you needed to know.”
Oscar’s mind raced. She had moved on, effortlessly sliding into another life, another story, as though the chaos she’d caused had never even happened. And Charles—he had no idea. Oscar could see it in the photos, the way Charles was looking at her, the way his hand rested protectively on her waist. It was the same way Oscar had once looked at her. The same way Lando had.
She was doing it again. The same seduction, the same lies, the same calculated dance.
“She knew exactly what she was doing all along,” Oscar said, more to himself than to Logan. The realisation hit him hard. She hadn’t just stumbled into his life. She had planned it. She’d known exactly who he was. Lando had mentioned him, and talked about his teammate from time to time. She had heard his name, known his world, and positioned herself perfectly to take advantage of it.
The night at the bar in Chicago wasn’t a coincidence. She hadn’t randomly chosen the seat next to him. She had orchestrated it all.
Logan sighed. “She’s good at what she does, I’ll give her that. But Charles… he’s got no clue what’s coming.”
For a moment, Oscar felt a wave of helplessness wash over him. He thought he had escaped her, thought they had finally closed the book on her manipulations. But here she was, sinking her claws into someone new, dragging another man into her web.
“What do I do?” Oscar asked quietly, feeling the weight of it all.
Logan shrugged, giving him a sympathetic look. “There’s nothing you can do. Not really. It’s his choice, his life. You can’t save him if he doesn’t know he needs saving.”
Oscar nodded, though the pit in his stomach twisted tighter. He watched as the world around him carried on, oblivious to the storm brewing in the distance.
The image of her with her lips on Charles, just like she had done to him.
And as Oscar turned away, walking toward the garage, he couldn’t shake the feeling that the storm wasn’t over. Not yet.
the end.

LORE
Introduction
A playwright and Emanator of Enigmata who wants to make the world more like one of her shows (really taking the phrase "all the world's a stage" literally huh) She's revered for her storytelling and her status in high society as a patron of heros.
Personality
Eccentric and dramatic, Klio usually follows her heart over her head. She's very emotional and rarely seen being calm or serious. At worst, she's childish with a dangerous amount of power at her fingertips. At best, she's playful and happily uses her status to uplift others.
Character Stories
(to be added)
Voicelines
Voice Claim - ok imagine Furina's voice but 1) slightly deeper/mature and 2) slightly Italian boom done
First Meeting: "I've been keeping up on your journey, Trailblazer. If you ever want a stage adaptation, you must let me know at once!"
Greeting: "I've been running into you a lot...hey, this isn't a ploy to get free tickets, huh?
Parting: "Leaving already? Well, if you must leave so soon, make sure you come to see my next show!"
About Self - Book and Pen: "The book records and the pen rewrites- it's simple enough."
Chat - Intelligentsia Guild: "While the Genius Society is too busy to focus on me, and the IPC likes me enough to leave me alone, some members of the Guild have nothing better to do than bother a lady on her rest days- the day they stop messing with me will be the day I keel over dead!"
Annoyances: "Too often I have to wake up early for events- why can't they set them for later in the day, when people aren't asleep?"
Hobbies: "In addition to writing the scripts, I compose the music for my plays as well. It's rather relaxing, you should try it sometimes."
About Mr. Reca: "We disagree on some points, but I can always count on him to give me good feedback- that's why he always gets the first invite to my premieres."
About Dr. Ratio: "What was it he called me? Ah, yes- "a hedonistic fool who delights in obscuring the truth." Well, I was made an Emanator, and he hasn't gotten so much as a glance- let me ask, which one of us is the true fool?"
About Duke Bellerophon: "How he can manage to be that calm all the time is beyond me. If I had to sit through that many useless meetings I'd go insane!"
About Duke Bellerophon (2): "He's rather quiet, but I guess anyone would be considered quiet when compared to me, hehe."
Trivia/Fun Facts
⭒› She was originally designed to be a Masked Fool who was Elio's sister, and her first design was purple and black instead of red, white, and gold

of course i wouldn't go on about original locations without sharing one of my own, so welcome to
The Hearth
A far-flung region of the High Wilderness (though cheap to travel to), a land of pleasure and satisfaction and love. Its sky is a constant vista of pinks and oranges: light from its very own Judgement.
Tumblr media
Our Lady of Warmth
The Judgement in question, the Eventide Mistress (or Our Lady of Warmth,)  is venerated by (most of) the Hearth's denizens. It provides them with shelter, food, and happiness, all without expecting anything in return? How couldn’t they worship it?
The Mistress also employs a cohort of Curators, known as the Light Brigade by the residents, although they don’t have any name for themselves. They act as enforcement in lieu, seemingly, of Logoi. As a secondary role, they carry out many of the menial tasks of the Hearth. They seem happy enough to do so – have their savage hearts been tamed by Our Lady’s gentle light?
Tumblr media
Adoration
A quality that increases by 1 for each day spent in the Hearth, it represents both your crew’s adoration of the Hearth, and Our Lady’s adoration of you. The higher it is, the more expensive it is to leave the Hearth. The effect has diminishing returns, and there are get-out-of-jail-free cards available outside the Hearth and (for abominable prices in Terror) inside it.
On the flipside, higher adoration unlocks better opportunities at a few ports, primarily those aligned the most with the Eventide Mistress.
There also a few ways to decrease adoration. Killing Lighted Curators, certain actions at ports, etc. They're generally costly or dangerous, as the actions that will turn the Mistress's gaze to displeasure aren't too loved by her subjects.
i've got a bunch more thoughts and ports and deep lore explanations for what's going on in the hearth, too. maybe i'll post more about it if people are interested!

hey minnie,
How do you find quality stucky fics in this vast ocean of pornography these days??? These last few years, I swear I barely get to read a decent stucky fic. I don't mind smut but come on, one can only read much too much filth until all filth looks the same. every once in a while you find something worthwhile to read but most of the time it feels like it's 1:50
Hi there! First of all, I think I understand what you're asking, but I'm also just a bit confused, because the way you've phrased it makes it sound like smut fics (or pornography, as you put it) can't also be quality fics, and that just doesn't sound right to me.
Well-written smut, with good characterization, is incredible, in my opinion. Granted (although there's absolutely nothing wrong with it), I'm also less into smut that is purely smut, in which the characters feel like they could be interchangeable with anyone, but I've always found it easy enough to avoid those types of fics. But I love me some filth from time to time, and I write quite a bit of it myself, so you might not be asking the right person...
Moreover, in my opinion, what constitutes quality fanfiction is extremely subjective. There are many older fics that have thousands of kudos and oodles of comments, which I personally didn't rate very highly. Conversely, there are some fics out there that I consider absolute gems, but which haven't gotten much love or attention at all. So without knowing more about what type of fic you do enjoy, I can't really help you.
But if I consider your question in a more general way, I would say that for me, when it comes to finding quality fic these days (and I'm assuming you mean "new" fic, not older stuff), following the writers whose work you enjoy is a huge part of it. Not all of them will have a Tumblr, but I'd say most of them do, and if you find them and give them a follow (and/or subscribe to their work on AO3), you'll never have to miss another fic they post. There are definitely quite a few incredible Stucky writers still very much active in the fandom right now, so make sure you look them up and hit follow.
I personally haven't experienced a shortage of great new Stucky fic yet (in fact, I still struggle to keep up with newly posted work a lot of the time), nor do I feel like the majority of what's posted these days is pure smut, but then I do exist within what you might call a "fandom bubble" (i.e. a space I curated for myself, filled with people (whose taste) I trust, and whose recommendations often lead me to expand that bubble to include more talented and awesome people, including writers).
Also, I personally strongly believe that what you experience as a shortage of "decent" fics (by which I assume you mean well-written, longer works with lots of plot and complex charactization, as opposed to just light on the smut) is also very much connected to a very unfortunate development that's been occurring in fandom over the last few years, possibly due to the influence of Instagram and Twitter, and that is the SIGNIFICANT decrease in engagement from readers such as yourself. Of course, the Stucky fandom has become smaller since EG and that naturally entails fewer readers (and writers) etc., that's just how it is. But it's not so much about the hits & follows as it is about the amount of (positive) feedback, comments and love authors receive on their works, which has decreased disproportionately even to that natural decline. There are still so many wonderful people who do leave comments and love on their favourite fics, but it seems like those people are in the minority these days.
I speak from personal experience when I say that writers will write much more and share that writing much more freely if they feel like their efforts are appreciated and their enthusiasm is (noticeably) shared by others. If authors feel like they're just shouting into the void, they'll be much less inclined to continue writing, ESPECIALLY long, complex, multi-chapter fics that take a lot of time and effort to produce.
So basically, for a large part, the power is in your hands here, anon. If you can, please leave long, detailed comments on the works of your favourite authors. Make art or moodboards or playlists based on fics. Share their work by reblogging it, gushing about it to others in the fandom, send them asks or DMs about their work and let them know how much you appreciate them. It'll work like a charm, I promise you!

Heatstroke (blueflags’ version)
around the qatar gp, we hear a lot of heat stroke symptom terminology thrown around like a bulleted list, spoken with a completely casual air like it’s something to no worse than jet lag. here’s a bit of translation from someone who’s actually experienced it:
headache: it’s more like pressure. you’re not even fully aware of the pain, it’s more like that ear-pop feeling you get on an airplane but all around your head. it makes sounds seem kind of muffled, too.
nausea: less so in your stomach, kind of more at the base of your chest and in the back of your throat. you feel like your throat is closing up, not in a choking way more like your gag reflex is being triggered seemingly by your own body. pressure on your throat and pain in the middle/based of your chest where your rib cage splits, that constant constriction in your throat, tingling in your jaw and mouth like you’re salivating more than you mean to even if your mouth is super dry.
dizziness: not literal, just-got-off-a-fairground, vision-swirling dizziness. it’s less about your vision and more about not feeling like you can find a vestibular rhythm. it’s as if there’s not enough blood in your feet or legs for you to feel the ground, or how far below it is for you to step. ever walked off a curb and it’s way shorter than you think so you kind of jarringly stomp on the ground instead? or the opposite, it’s deeper than you expected and you put all your weight down while your foot’s still in midair? imagine that but every step.
lightheadedness: this but in the entire upper half of your body. you feel like you’re so heavy that you’re sinking to the bottom of the ocean, or so light that you’re floating up into the atmosphere, at the same time. you’re surrounded by pressure and out of control.
lack of focus/cognitive skills decreasing: THIS. not the most unpleasant but by FAR the most dangerous to someone operating a race car. they make it sound like it’s just the kind of spacing-out you do when you’re really sleep deprived, or coming down from a bong rip. it’s a lot worse. the best way i can describe it is like everything is a dream; you’re sleeping awake.
you ever been in a dream and something about the plot requires you to remember what happened earlier in the dream itself? when you wake up, you can piece everything together, but your dreaming self can’t do that. you’re operating on whatever knowledge is in your head at that very second, and as each minute passes it’s like your own memory throws itself away. you’re not 100% sure of what you just did or said. the memory has that fuzzy, ephemeral quality of a dream upon waking, where it could have happened but it feels so much more like a guess than a fact.
and sometimes you think you’re fine but then all of the sudden you startle back into your own body and realize you can’t remember how you got where you are, or what the person in front of you said, or why you’re holding a certain thing (or how you just drove for the last three hundred meters, perhaps?). your short-term memory starts disappearing like condensation on a window. and that’s fucking scary enough when you’re not putting your own and nineteen others’ lives in your hands for ninety minutes.
you also get that one-track mind thing you do when you’re high, where one thing seems to take up far too much importance in your head for far too long. you freak out over that one memory you can’t quite place, or this one task you can’t quite get right on the first time, whether or not it matters and whether or not you’re supposed to be doing something else.
“i need some encouragement, mate.” encouragement in this case doesn’t mean “i need some feel-good motivation! i need a happy face sticker!” it’s more like i need an outside source to ground me in this reality because i can’t focus on anything outside of what’s going on in my head, and what’s going on in my head makes no sense, and i’m scared.
that’s probably the worst symptom in the context of motor racing. except probably
blacking out: i’m not a doctor so PLEASE take this with as many grains of salt as you please. but in the context of heatstroke, blacking out is similar to what might happen during a fever, in which your body is literally so hot that your brain is starting to take the damage. that’s why fevers alone can be so dangerous, sometimes even more so than whatever they’re caused by, because parts of your brain begin shutting down like an overheating laptop. everything’s struggling, so your body starts redirecting any and all blood flow it can spare to the important parts; that’s what blacking out is. it’s more important for your body to keep itself functioning than to keep itself awake. if it’s because of something like a blood sugar crisis or anemia, those conditions can have pretty quick short-term solutions. but the desert isn’t just gonna turn on the AC. the heat crisis continues even as the body attempts to protect itself. remember lance collapsing at the end of last year and the mechanic immediately rushing with the cooling fan? if that temperature doesn’t start lowering immediately, it’s a race against the clock.
also, if you black out at 200 mph… well. i don’t need to spell that out.
THIS HAS BEEN A HEATSTROKE PSA.

"Go to Sleep" means "I Love You"
Okay so I'm obsessed with platonic forms of affection and also the joke about "kissing the homies goodnight" but like in an literal platonic way, and also love having Vector fully take on the Dad role. And as a college student I know the struggle of staying up way too late and needed to be forced to go to bed. So this is a little silly thing I wrote for the boys.
Espio blinked back his weariness as he stared at his glowing laptop screen and labored over how to finish this sentence. Just three more paragraphs to go, and he'd be finish with the first draft of the paper. Then he could go back, make a few rounds of edits and proofread, and he could actually maybe submit it. It was so close.
He'd been sitting in the mostly dark lounge, lit only by his and Charmy's computer screens and a singular lamp, for the last few hours, trying to type this out. His writing speed had significantly decreased as the night dragged on. The quality of his writing might also be decreasing, but his eyes were getting blurry and he couldn't focus enough to re-read anything. He stared at the flashing text cursor at the end of the last word he'd written.
Charmy, the only other person in the lounge, laughed loudly at whatever brainrot video he was watching at this point. Espio glanced up at the noise, blinking again as his eyes tried to adjust away from the light of the computer screen. Charmy laughed again; a prolonged, unhinged set of snickers that indicated he was verging on loopy from being tired. He pulled out his earbuds. "Espio, you-- you gotta see--!" His voice was lost in his fit of snorting laughter.
Espio shook his head. "You already showed me five videos. I need to finish up this paper."
"You're so lame." Charmy pouted as he put one earbud back in. His disappointment quickly disappeared as he started laughing at his video once again.
The door to the lounge burst open, and Vector poked his head in. He was already dressed for bed in a t-shirt and boxers, his eyelids drooping as he glared at them. "Guys, it's 1 am. What're ya doing?"
Charmy attempted to suppress his loopy laughter, which only succeeded in making him laugh more. "Watch-- snort-- watching YouTube," he finally got out.
Espio scoffed, only half-glancing up from his laptop. "At least I'm actually studying."
Vector rolled his eyes. "You've been studyin' all day. You can rest a little too, ya know."
"I have to finish this paper."
"When is it due?"
Espio had enough decency to feel a bit embarrassed. "A week from now?"
"FOR FREAKING SAKE, GO TO SLEEP, ESPIO!"
"It's almost done. Just let me finish it and I'll go to bed." Or at least, go sit in his bed and get his reading done. Maybe then he'd be enough ahead he could feel justified to actually relax...
Charmy piped in, "Yeah, and I'm keeping him company, so I should get to stay up too!"
"More like distracting me," Espio muttered under his breath as he went back to his laptop. He felt a twinge of guilt as the words left his mouth. He didn't really mean it. But Charmy didn't even seem to notice.
"No, you need sleep," Vector told Charmy. "You get all hyper and grumpy when you're tired."
"I'm not tired at all!" Charmy complained. As if on cue, he yawned.
Vector yawned in response, then growled under his breath. "Nope," he groaned, walking towards them. "That's it. C'mon, ya little brats."
Suddenly Espio was being lifted off the couch. A flash of panic hit him, but Vector simply picked him up and flung him over his shoulder. Like he weighed nothing. He grabbed Charmy under his other arm and marched them down the hall.
Charmy protested the indignity loudly. Espio craned his neck to see what Vector was doing with them. Vector stopped at Charmy's room first, kicking the door open with no regard to quiet hours and legit throwing Charmy onto his bed. "SLEEP," Vector ordered, chucking his bee plushie at him. He stomped over and kissed Charmy's forehead, like he was a little kid. Then he wheeled around and carried Espio to his room.
He was tall enough that he barely even had to hoist Espio up to dump him in his loft bed. Vector flung a blanket onto him.
Then he pulled Espio over to the edge of the bed and planted a kiss on the top of Espio's head.
Ummmmm...
What-- what was that? Heat rose to Espio's face. With Charmy he'd thought it was a joke. He did act like a kid sometimes. But Espio hadn't thought...
"Now get to sleep, punk," Vector said. His voice, as always, was gruff and growly. But there was a hint of... affection. He shut the lights out and closed the door.
Espio curled up under the blanket. His mind buzzed. As far as he could remember, he'd never had a goodnight kiss. His parents were not... affectionate people. And he'd certainly never expected one from Vector, of all people.
But it had seemed so natural. Was that what most parents were like? Did they playfully put their kids to bed, with roughhousing and teasing? Did they give their kids goodnight kisses?
Did those kids know how lucky they were?
No, this whole thinking was ridiculous. Vector was his RA. Just his RA. Yeah, sometimes he called him "Father," and Vector would called him "Son," but that was a joke. Surely Vector was just doing the whole thing "for the bit."
But... Curled up on his bed, Espio felt warm. Complete. Like his whole life, some part of his routine had been missing. And Vector had just put in the missing piece. It was ridiculous. But despite himself, there was a smile on his face.
It was strange. There was such a distinct difference between being sent to bed by his parents and sent to bed by Vector. Vector was louder and gruffer and more grouchy than his parents. His parents never yelled at him to go to bed. They said it with the same cold monotone they said everything else in.
And yet, he felt more warmth when Vector called him a brat or a punk than when his parents called him by his name.
It felt like...
It felt like, when Vector said the words "go to bed," he really meant...
"I love ya, kid."

addressing my health and writing!!
Tumblr media
fun fact: i'm rereading this post as careful as i can because i wrote ~90% of this post with my eyes closed!!
hi everyone!
the title of this post seems so serious but also not so serious at the same time...? 😅
anyways! this is just me updating a little bit of my health and how it's been affecting my writing.
on january 31st 2022, my psychologist wrote a letter to my school addressing that he 'has...identified that [I have]...Sensory Processing Disorder' (words quoted by the letter that was sent out). as far as i'm aware, i specifically have sensory modulation disorder.
i'll try to keep this concise and to the point. in terms of my spd in general, four of my five senses are hypersensitive with my top two being visual and hearing.
i recently just found out an important info by quite literally timing myself. i stayed in my room, lights out and in the dark for 20 mins. during that time, i did nothing but just stare at the ceiling (or i don't know, the spider that went past too) and jammed to some music. after, i started to write.
there is small time gap of 14 mins before i felt a twitch in my right eye. there is a small 1 min gap after when i started to get a headache. for me, i knew this before but i was afraid to admit it especially when i love writing so much but it's clear now that i am hypersensitive to lights.
that's why (at least, i personally feel like this) my writing quality has decreased drastically and writing errors are more apparent than ever. i get people to proofread for me but i'm really bad in asking for help so i usually just try to do it myself to the best of my abilities. the way i explain scenes have also been more boring and bland, and i want to tell you that if you think so too, you're most probably right! it frustrates me more than anything.
i'm trying to find ways to counter this or at least make the time gap bigger. i recently found out that writing in the dark, phone brightness down to the lowest helps and i was able to write for about ~40 mins before i started to get a headache. but unfortunately for my sleep hygiene, no technology should be in my room (i even moved my piano out of my room because of this) and so, i am trying to find another way.
another way i found is that closing my eyes works. fun fact: i'm rereading this post as careful as i can because i wrote ~90% of this post with my eyes closed!! yes it works but you can imagine how hard it can be.
if i can be fully honest, it's actually really hard for me to both read and write these days as well because there is no way i can make out the words without any form of light. when the headache strikes, it strikes and walking in a straight line can become difficult sometimes. the reality is that it's hard to write without reading and it sucks that i can't support anyone's work at the moment, especially when they have supported me so much (i'm so sorry to all the writers out there). there is nothing much i can do right now but to remember and learn the stories in my head as references when i write.
i'm still exploring for more ideas but if you have any ideas, do tell! i would love to try them out!
but i'm not going to stop writing! not when i have ideas to write and stories to share! it's just going to be slow and i'm planning to take it in a pace where i can handle. like i've mentioned before, i don't want to release stories that i'm not proud of.
thank you everyone for the support so far! 'double a decade' reached 100+ notes in less than a week! that's so crazy for me, thank you 😭💕

Is Anxiety Keeping You From Sleeping?
Tumblr media
Do you wish you could sleep like you used to? Do you know you aren’t getting enough sleep, but haven’t done anything about it? Sleep problems are some of the most frustrating symptoms of anxiety and depression. There are things you can do to help yourself sleep better. The habits we fall into slowly over time are setting us up for sleep deprivation.
I’m always surprised when someone tells me they sleep well.
In fact, I’m envious. Somewhere after my 20’s, perfect sleep began to elude me. I’ve been searching for the solution and I’ve gathered a list of strategies to get better sleep. Not perfect sleep. Better. Try some of these if you need better sleep too.
– Create a bedtime ritual to encourage your mind and body to slow down and get sleepy.
– Evaluate your bedroom. The best bedrooms for sleep are dark, cool, quiet and free of clutter. Make the changes that are realistic for your life and budget. Negotiate with your partner and pets to get more serenity in the space you share.
– Turn off unnecessary lights in your home a few hours before bedtime and keep other lights low. Your body responds to light with wakefulness.
– Limit caffeine and other stimulants. Use caffeine only within 4 hours of waking. If you are a night sleeper, for example, you may need to avoid caffeine after 12:00 noon. If you’re a day sleeper adjust for your sleep/wake schedule. Don’t forget all the products that include caffeine, especially chocolate, coffee, tea, soda, and energy drinks.
– Avoid alcohol several hours before bedtime. Alcohol may help you fall asleep, but it decreases sleep quality and often causes you to wake up within a few hours and struggle to fall asleep again. If you drink alcohol, experiment with this. You may find the you sleep better when you don’t drink any alcohol at all. One drink may not interfere with your sleep, but more usually does. Find out what works for you.
– Limit screen time. TVs, computers, iPads, phones, video games and other screens emit blue light which suppresses melatonin, the hormone that promotes sleep. Try turning off electronics 1 or 2 hours before you want to sleep. Experiment to see how much time your brain needs to wind down from screen time. Try some evenings that are free from screens after dinner.
– Create a consistent sleep schedule. Get up at the same time each day and go to bed at the same time each night, even on weekends.
– Go to bed when you are sleepy. This may seem to conflict with the tip above. You may need to start with getting up a bit earlier, to promote earlier sleepiness.
– Avoid naps when you are trying to reset your sleep pattern. This may not apply to you if you have young children at home who wake up at night or if you are on a nighttime work schedule which routinely causes sleep deprivation.
– Meditate. It helps your mind be calmer sooner so that your stress level does not continue to rise. If you ignore that feeling of rushing and pushing to check off the next goal, you may find yourself with a level of wakefulness at bedtime that is difficult to turn off. Meditation helps keep this from going unchecked.
– Exercise early in the day.
Do you fall asleep, but can’t stay asleep?
If you fall asleep easily at first but then wake up afterworld, you are not alone. Many sleep experts says its normal to wake up between 2 and 4 a.m. Falling asleep again can be difficult, but you can train yourself to get better at it. Try a few of these tips tonight to see if they make a difference for you.
7 easy tips to go back to sleep!
1. Don’t look at the time when you wake up. Turn your clock to the wall. Resist the temptation to pick up your phone.
2. Stay in the dark. Don’t turn on the TV or computer. You want to signal your brain that it is not time to wake up. If you need to get up to use the bathroom, as most of us do, walk carefully with just a little light.
3. Gently tell yourself that you are going back to sleep. It’s not time to wake up.
4. Rub the top of your ears. This causes sleepiness.
5. Rolling your eyes upward with eyes open or closed signals sleep to your brain.
6. Don’t toss and turn. Use progressive muscle relaxation instead. Tense muscles and then release. Start with your feet and work your way up to your face. Usually you will be asleep before you finish.
7. If you lay awake longer than 20 minutes, get out of bed and sit. Consider writing your worries down. Get back in bed when you begin to feel sleepy.
Try any or all of these for a few weeks. Use what works for you.

Lost Mary MO5000 best flavors for sale
While the lost mary mo5000 flavours selections are a little unusual, all of the flavours are above average. Here are some of my top picks, arranged by decreasing order.
Ginger Beer: Not too sweet, just a nice, lemony ginger sponge cake.
Watermelon Cherry: While it's difficult to duplicate cherry flavours, this one works well. Watermelon aroma is a little subtle, with a tinge of ice at the end.
Black Mint: A black currant with a refreshingly cool mint aftertaste. This one is especially beneficial for clearing the palette. a little strange.
Blueberry Raspberry Pomegranate: Not a lot of pomegranate flavour, but sweet berry overtones make this medium-cool vape.
Energy: A precise reproduction of the flavour of "Red Bull." You'll enjoy this flavour if you enjoy that taste.
What is the duration of these?
The Lost Mary MO5000 has a 5000 puffs rating and 13.5 ml of e-liquid capacity. Their lifespan is comparable to that of a BC5000, albeit the battery seems to have less endurance.
As was previously said, the Lost Mary MO5000 Vape Wholesale Supplier has many MO5000's flavour creations and is affected by the battery charge level, thus it's best to keep yours charged. When the charging cycle is over, the light on the bottom of the MO5000 will switch off. It will remain lit during the charging process.

Common Cannabis Growing Mistakes and How to Fix Nutrient Deficiencies
Cannabis cultivation is an intricate art that requires attention to detail, patience, and a good understanding of the plant's needs. Whether you're a first-time grower or an experienced cultivator, making mistakes is part of the learning process. However, these mistakes can significantly affect your yields, plant health, and the quality of your cannabis buds. Nutrient deficiencies are among the most common issues growers face, and they can often be traced back to cannabis growing mistakes.
In this in-depth guide, we will explore the most common cannabis growing mistakes, focusing on nutrient deficiencies and how to fix them. By identifying these mistakes early and applying corrective measures, you can ensure that your cannabis plants grow strong, healthy, and productive.
Cannabis Growing Mistakes: An Overview
Cannabis growing mistakes come in many forms, from incorrect lighting and watering practices to poor nutrient management. For new growers, the challenge lies in understanding the subtle differences between underfeeding, overfeeding, and how nutrient imbalances affect cannabis plants. While each mistake may have a different cause, the solution often involves a better understanding of how cannabis plants process and use nutrients.
Understanding the three primary nutrient groups (macronutrients, secondary nutrients, and micronutrients) is the foundation for solving nutrient-related cannabis growing mistakes. By correcting nutrient imbalances, you can optimize plant growth and avoid common pitfalls such as poor yields, small buds, and weak plant structures.
1. Overfeeding Cannabis Plants
What Happens When You Overfeed Cannabis Plants?
Overfeeding is one of the most common cannabis growing mistakes, especially among beginners. While it may seem like providing your plants with more nutrients will help them grow faster and stronger, excess nutrients can be harmful. Overfeeding can lead to nutrient burn, where the tips of the leaves turn yellow or brown, and the plant may suffer from stunted growth. In extreme cases, overfeeding can cause the roots to become "burnt," resulting in a decrease in the plant's ability to absorb water and nutrients.
Excess nutrients, especially nitrogen, can also cause your cannabis plants to grow too quickly in the vegetative stage, resulting in weak, spindly stems that can't support healthy bud production.
How to Fix Overfeeding
If you suspect that overfeeding is causing issues with your plants, the first step is to flush them with clean, pH-balanced water. Flushing will help remove excess nutrients and salts from the soil or growing medium, allowing the plant to recover. After flushing, reduce the amount of nutrients you apply and focus on providing a more balanced, gradual feeding schedule.
A good practice is to start with a lower dose of nutrients, especially during the early stages of growth, and increase it as the plants mature. Use a nutrient solution specifically designed for cannabis and always follow the manufacturer's recommended dosages. Make sure you're feeding the plants based on their growth stage, as they require different nutrient levels during the vegetative and flowering phases.
2. Underfeeding Cannabis Plants
The Impact of Underfeeding
While overfeeding is a common issue, underfeeding cannabis plants can be just as detrimental. When cannabis plants don't receive enough nutrients, they struggle to grow and develop properly. The symptoms of underfeeding often include yellowing of the leaves, slow growth, and overall poor plant health. In some cases, the plant may fail to produce buds altogether, especially if the nutrient deficiency occurs during the flowering stage.
Underfeeding often leads to nutrient lockout, where the plant can no longer absorb the nutrients it needs to thrive, even if they are present in the soil. This is because the soil may lack sufficient organic matter, or the plant may not be receiving the right balance of macronutrients, secondary nutrients, and micronutrients.
How to Fix Underfeeding
To correct underfeeding, start by assessing the nutrient levels in your growing medium. Check the pH levels of your soil or hydroponic solution to ensure they fall within the optimal range for cannabis (6.0–7.0 for soil and 5.5–6.5 for hydroponic systems).
Next, begin providing your plants with a complete, balanced nutrient solution that includes macronutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium) and micronutrients (iron, zinc, and manganese). Organic matter such as compost or worm castings can help boost soil health, providing plants with the nutrients they need for healthy growth.
If you're growing hydroponically, ensure that your nutrient solution is properly balanced, and replace it regularly to avoid nutrient imbalances. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations when using liquid fertilizers to avoid both underfeeding and overfeeding.
3. Incorrect pH Levels
Why pH Matters in Cannabis Growth
Cannabis plants are highly sensitive to the pH of their growing medium, and improper pH levels can lead to a wide range of nutrient deficiencies. When the pH is too high or too low, certain nutrients become locked out, preventing the plant from absorbing them. For example, a pH that is too low (acidic) may cause calcium and magnesium deficiencies, while a high pH (alkaline) can lead to iron and manganese deficiencies.
Incorrect pH levels often result in yellowing leaves, stunted growth, and a general decline in plant health. It's a crucial part of preventing cannabis growing mistakes to maintain the right pH balance throughout your plants' life cycle.
How to Fix pH Problems
The first step in correcting pH imbalances is to measure the pH of your soil or hydroponic solution using a reliable pH meter or test kit. Cannabis thrives in a slightly acidic to neutral environment, with a pH range of 6.0–7.0 for soil and 5.5–6.5 for hydroponic systems.
If your pH is too low, you can raise it by adding lime (dolomitic lime for soil or pH-raising additives for hydroponics). If the pH is too high, you can lower it by adding phosphoric acid or sulfur. Regularly monitor the pH levels throughout the growing process to ensure that the nutrients are available to your plants.
4. Watering Mistakes
The Risks of Overwatering and Underwatering
Watering is one of the most important aspects of cannabis care, and improper watering practices are a major contributor to cannabis growing mistakes. Overwatering is a common issue, particularly in containers where water can accumulate and cause root rot. On the other hand, underwatering leads to dehydration, stunted growth, and poor nutrient absorption.
The key is to find a balance. Cannabis plants prefer a drying-out period between waterings, as this allows the roots to access oxygen. Overwatering and underwatering both deprive the roots of oxygen, leading to nutrient lockout and stunted growth.
How to Fix Watering Issues
To correct watering mistakes, always check the moisture levels of the soil before watering. Water your plants when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry to the touch. For hydroponic growers, ensure that the roots have access to the nutrient solution, but never let them sit in stagnant water. Use a moisture meter for better accuracy in measuring soil moisture levels.
It's also important to ensure that your pots have proper drainage to prevent water from accumulating at the bottom and causing root rot. If you're using hydroponics, check the water levels regularly to prevent stagnation and ensure the roots are getting enough oxygen.
5. Nutrient Deficiencies
Understanding the Different Nutrient Deficiencies in Cannabis
Nutrient deficiencies are a common issue in cannabis cultivation, and they can manifest in various ways. Understanding the symptoms of common nutrient deficiencies is crucial to addressing them promptly. Below are some of the most common nutrient deficiencies in cannabis and how to fix them.
Nitrogen Deficiency
Nitrogen is essential for the growth of healthy leaves and stems. A nitrogen deficiency often leads to yellowing leaves, starting with the older leaves. The plant may also experience slow growth and overall weak development.
To correct a nitrogen deficiency, increase the amount of nitrogen in your feeding schedule. Organic sources like fish emulsion or blood meal can help restore nitrogen levels. Synthetic fertilizers with higher nitrogen content are also effective.
Phosphorus Deficiency
Phosphorus is crucial for root development, flowering, and overall plant health. A phosphorus deficiency often results in stunted growth, dark green or purplish leaves, and poor flower production.
To fix phosphorus deficiencies, use a phosphorus-rich fertilizer like bone meal or guano. Be sure to balance phosphorus with the other macronutrients to avoid further nutrient imbalances.
Potassium Deficiency
Potassium supports overall plant health and disease resistance. A deficiency in potassium can lead to yellowing of the leaves, weak stems, and poor stress tolerance.
To correct potassium deficiency, supplement your plants with potassium-rich fertilizers or add wood ash to your soil. Keep an eye on your plants and adjust the nutrient levels as needed.
Magnesium Deficiency
Magnesium plays a key role in photosynthesis, and a deficiency can result in interveinal chlorosis, where the tissue between the veins of older leaves turns yellow. Leaf edges may curl and die off.
To fix magnesium deficiency, apply Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) to your plants. Magnesium is easily absorbed through the roots and can quickly resolve the issue.
Calcium Deficiency
Calcium is necessary for strong cell walls and overall plant structure. A calcium deficiency can lead to stunted growth, leaf curl, and deformed plants.
To address calcium deficiency, use calcium nitrate or gypsum to supplement your plants. Make sure to apply the right amount and avoid overfeeding.
6. Micronutrient Deficiencies
Recognizing Micronutrient Deficiencies
Micronutrients, though required in smaller amounts, play an essential role in cannabis plant health. Deficiencies in micronutrients such as iron, manganese, boron, and zinc can cause various growth issues. Symptoms of micronutrient deficiencies can include yellowing leaves, stunted growth, and malformed plants.
How to Fix Micronutrient Deficiencies
To fix micronutrient deficiencies, ensure that your plants are receiving a well-balanced nutrient solution that includes these trace elements. Chelated micronutrients are more easily absorbed by cannabis plants, so make sure your fertilizer includes these bioavailable forms.
7. Overuse of Chemical Fertilizers
The Risks of Overusing Chemical Fertilizers
Overusing chemical fertilizers is another common mistake that leads to nutrient imbalances and environmental damage. While synthetic fertilizers may provide quick results, excessive use can harm the soil, disrupt microbial activity, and lead to nutrient imbalances in your plants.
How to Fix Fertilizer Overuse
To reduce the negative impact of chemical fertilizers, consider switching to organic fertilizers that provide slow, steady nutrient release. Organic matter like compost or worm castings improves soil health, ensuring that your plants receive a balanced supply of nutrients.
Conclusion
Cannabis cultivation requires careful attention to nutrient levels, watering practices, and environmental conditions. By identifying common cannabis growing mistakes and addressing nutrient deficiencies early, you can improve your plant's health, increase yields, and achieve high-quality buds. Whether you're growing indoors or outdoors, understanding the unique needs of cannabis will help you avoid the pitfalls that many growers face. Always monitor your plants closely and adjust your practices based on their specific needs.

Longevity is another impressive feature of LEDs. With lifespans reaching up to 25,000 hours or more, they require less frequent replacements. This not only saves money but also reduces waste.
Moreover, LED lights provide brighter illumination while maintaining excellent colour quality. They are available in various colours and temperatures, ensuring the perfect ambience for any space.
Safety is paramount, too—LEDs emit minimal heat during operation, decreasing the risk of burns or fire hazards. For those focused on health, many options are flicker-free and contain no harmful substances like mercury found in some alternatives.

Teen Screen Time: How Much Is Too Much?
Screens are everywhere—smartphones, tablets, computers, and televisions have become an integral part of our daily lives. For teens, the allure of screens can be especially strong, with social media, video games, and streaming services offering endless entertainment and connection. But how much screen time is too much for teenagers, and what impact does it have on their physical and mental health?
The Rise of Screen Time Among Teens
The average teenager spends around 7 to 9 hours a day in front of screens, excluding schoolwork. This number has surged in recent years, particularly with the increased reliance on digital tools during the pandemic. From TikTok to YouTube, teens often find themselves immersed in digital worlds that pull them away from real-life interactions.
While screens offer a convenient way to stay connected and informed, excessive screen time can have negative consequences on teens’ health. Understanding these effects is crucial for parents and teens alike in order to establish healthier screen habits.
The Physical Effects of Excessive Screen Time
Too much screen time doesn’t just affect the mind—it also has tangible physical effects:
Eye Strain and Digital Eye Syndrome Spending hours staring at a screen can lead to eye strain, dry eyes, and blurred vision. The blue light emitted from screens can also disrupt sleep patterns, leading to poor-quality sleep or insomnia. Teens are especially prone to this as they often use their devices late into the night.
Poor Posture and Musculoskeletal Problems Sitting hunched over a smartphone or laptop for long periods can lead to poor posture, which can cause neck pain, back pain, and muscle strain. In the long run, this can result in more serious musculoskeletal issues.
Sedentary Lifestyle and Weight Gain Excessive screen time is often linked to a sedentary lifestyle. When teens spend hours sitting down without physical activity, it can lead to weight gain, poor cardiovascular health, and an increased risk of obesity. Teens who are inactive are also more likely to develop other health problems later in life.
The Mental and Emotional Impact of Excessive Screen Time
While physical health is a concern, the mental and emotional toll of too much screen time can be even more profound:
Increased Anxiety and Depression Studies show that excessive screen time, especially on social media, is linked to higher rates of anxiety and depression among teens. The constant comparison to others, fear of missing out (FOMO), and exposure to cyberbullying can all contribute to these feelings.
Sleep Disruptions As mentioned earlier, screen time, particularly before bed, interferes with sleep. The blue light emitted by devices suppresses the production of melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep. Teens who spend late nights scrolling on their phones are more likely to suffer from sleep deprivation, which negatively impacts mood, concentration, and overall mental health.
Reduced Attention Span and Cognitive Development Rapid switching between tasks, such as messaging friends while watching videos, can impair a teen's attention span and ability to focus. Long-term exposure to fast-paced media may reduce a teen’s ability to engage deeply with more complex tasks like reading or critical thinking.
Decreased Social Skills and Real-Life Interaction Excessive time spent online can lead to social isolation. While teens may feel connected through social media, they miss out on real-life interactions and the ability to build meaningful face-to-face relationships. Over time, this can hinder the development of empathy and other crucial social skills.
How Much Screen Time Is Healthy for Teens?
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that teenagers limit their recreational screen time to no more than 2 hours per day. However, for many families, this guideline may seem unrealistic in the face of schoolwork, social media, and entertainment needs. What’s more important is balance and mindful usage.
Guidelines for Creating Healthy Screen Habits
To promote healthier screen habits in teens, here are some actionable tips that parents and teens can implement:
Set Screen-Free Zones and Times Designate certain areas of the house, such as the dining room or bedrooms, as screen-free zones. Additionally, establish screen-free hours, especially before bedtime, to encourage face-to-face interaction and healthy sleep patterns.
Encourage Outdoor Activities Encourage teens to engage in physical activities like walking, biking, or playing sports to counterbalance their sedentary screen time. Physical activity is crucial for maintaining overall health and can also improve mood and energy levels.
Create a Daily Schedule Help your teen set a daily routine that includes time for homework, exercise, hobbies, and screen time. A well-rounded schedule ensures that screen time doesn’t dominate their day.
Promote Mindful Screen Use Encourage teens to be mindful of their screen usage. For example, rather than mindlessly scrolling through social media, encourage them to use screens purposefully, such as learning new skills through online courses or watching educational content.
Monitor and Limit Social Media Usage Since social media is a significant part of teen screen time, it's essential to set boundaries. Parents can use apps that monitor screen usage and set time limits on social platforms. Encourage open conversations about the negative effects of social media and emphasize the importance of real-life connections.
Model Healthy Screen Habits Teens are likely to emulate the behavior they see at home. Parents should model healthy screen habits by limiting their own screen time, especially during family activities or meals.

Tire Valve Caps - Why Are They Important?
Despite being a small detail in automobile upkeep, Tire valve caps are extremely important and can help keep your tires in perfect shape. Let us take a look at the reasons as to why these tiny items are vital for the well being of your automobile.
Tumblr media
What are Tire valve caps?
The valve caps of tires are tiny geometries clad in screw threads to suit the valve stems of your tires. They are made from a variety of materials, such as plastics, metals, or rubbers, whose primary purpose is safeguarding the valve stems from dirt, debris, and moisture. Its cleanliness and functionality are to be under constant check to have air holes that you can inflate or deflate the tires.
Reason to opt for Tire valve caps
Prevents air loss: The primary functions that the caps perform include the prevention of air escaping through them. Even though they do not exactly seal off the valve, they still offer protection against leakage. This aids in the maintenance of the right pressure of the tires, which is a significant aspect of safety, fuel effectiveness, and tire survival.
Contamination countermeasures: It is the tire valve that isolates a considerable sum of junk, including dust, dirt, or road grim, from getting into the tire valve. They might enter the valve stem and either plug or even damage it, eventually making it hard to support the recommended air pressure in the tire.
Guard against moisture: The water can cause the valve stem to rust and corrode, which in later cases might lead to a malfunction of the valve. These are the valve caps that decrease the chances of water to enter the valve and cause problems like those. One of the leading examples of this thing is none other than the Porsche valve caps.
Selecting the best Tire valve caps
Consider these factors when you select the valve caps for your tires.
Materials: Plastic covers are light in weight and economical as compared to metal covers which are more durable. In addition, rubber caps can be used to provide an extra seal, but they may wear out quickly.
Design: Although the majority of valve caps are straightforward and practical, others have additional features, such as integrated pressure gauges or decorative aspects. Select one that meets your specifications and inclinations.
Fit: Make sure the valve caps correspond with your car’s valve stems. While most normal caps will suit, it is good practice to check if there are particular needs for your automobile.
Tips to maintain
Your contemporary tire valve caps should always perform correctly; thus, it is advisable to check them for any signs of wear or damage periodically. Any that are cracked or missing should be replaced, which will help maintain the protective functions. To ensure a safer driving experience, routinely checking tire air pressure and overall status is essential.
Summing Up Tire valves are small but seem to serve crucial purposes in guarding against your car tires besides regulating inner air pressure. High-quality ones then tend to give a boost to the vehicle's functioning ability and safety too. Mercedes tire caps are even the higher quality ones.
