[...]that movie was an emotional roller coaster for me. I was called in as a consultant on some scenes, and it was tough. It brought everything back, especially later on when we all got to go to France for the premiere. Skip’s family was there. What’s so interesting is that the actor who I became closest with was Richard Speight Jr., the guy who played Skip in the miniseries. The first time he called me, he was politely asking me questions about Skip so he could better portray him, and damned if I didn’t hang up on him. Not because he’d done or said anything wrong. Because I just couldn’t take it. But as the filming began and we got to know each other, Richard became a great support to me, this kid half a century younger than me. Never made me feel like some sentimental old fool. Told me he understood my emotions. Said it was OK, that I was emotional because Skip and I had meant so much to each other and that was a good thing, not a bad thing. That meant the world to me. You have to understand that it took me nearly forty years before I could look at our 1942 company picture and not break into tears, particularly if it was December or January.

coleaders klance who have each others back whilst arguing til they're blue in the face. a dignitary from a planet watching keith and lance argue and lance says something and runs away before keith can rebut it which leaves him scowling. the dignitary seeing this as their way in with the black paladin and saddling up to him and complaining about lance. keith doing a complete 180, his eyes going yellow and his skin slowly shifting purple as he glares at the alien and the alien panics and is just like "haha sike hes actually really cool and amazing and i would do anything he asks ahahahaplsdontkillmehaha"

a dignitary finding out keith is galran and seeing klance argue so he goes to lance, the red paladin and second in line should anything happen to the black paladin, and insulting keith's heritage and implying that should lance stage a coup then he'd have whatever planet the random alien is from in his corner. lance pasting on a wide, faux smile and "soothing" the aliens fears/concerns about keith being galran by saying that if their planet doesnt want a galran to save them then voltron wont force them to join the coalition and they can fight the empire themselves. the alien freaking bc hello??? their planet against the might of the galran empire?? they'd be crushed!! and the alien is just like "i meant no offense im so sorry pls dont leave us for dead"

I feel like something the fandom forgets is that Katie/Pidge doesn't actually need glasses?

Like, she wears them as tribute to her brother, to remind her daily of her mission to find him

But like...even I forget that homegirl really was out there, every episode of the show, in the heat of galactic battle just...wearing fashion glasses.

And I have to assume that. Because she had to have replaced the prescription with clear glass right? So she doesn't destroy her eyesight?

We see her putting on her brother's extra pair. Her brother who before space wears them. To see. I mean, I don't know much but I feel like any space program wouldn't really allow you to wear glasses in space unless you needed them

Except uh....that's the other thing, because once Matt gets to space, he just ~decides~ he doesn't need glasses anymore???

And I get it. I do. I get that its a way to display age to the characters but at the same time I have to wonder. Like did the Galra give Matt eye surgery? Did Katie replace his lenses with clear glass for school?

Or were both these fools just wearing fashion glasses this entire time because it made them look smart?
