Would it have hurt less if at the end of everything I was lowered into those rose bushes, to my bloody painful end, I miss her everyday, would it have been different.

ghostface suguru! ( @aurelianamu )
In a dimly lit room, at around 10PM—it was a bit cold outside, the perfect weather to snuggle up and watch some movies. Romance movies? No, you did that last week. Action movie? Eh, you were not in the mood for that—oh, Scream. Your thumb presses on the movie before you put the remote control down and walk towards the kitchen to grab some snacks.
“Sugu, I picked a movie!” you announce as you make your way out of the kitchen with a bowl of popcorn and two drinks. Your husband marches down the stairs in a lazy manner, his long strands messily sticking out of his ponytail that he has to stop and tie it up again. He sees what movie you picked and he stands behind you on the couch.
“Scream?” he questions, hands resting on your shoulders.
“First movie, pretty iconic.”
“I don’t think it’s that scary though,” he doesn’t really say that he would rather watch something else, simply joins you on the couch and pulls you towards him with the bowl of popcorn resting on your lap.
The movie is indeed not that scary, you kept quoting some of the lines here and there, which earned you a chuckle from Suguru every time.
“No, please don’t kill me Mr. Ghostface I wanna be in the sequel,” you say in the same voice and attitude and your husband runs a hand through your hair.
“I think you’d easily outsmart him,” your husband is very supportive of you, but instead of making fun of his statement, your heart thrums in your chest when you picture Suguru in the ghostface mask.
“Really?” you look up at him through your eyelashes but Suguru is staring ahead and doesn’t notice the eyes you’re giving him.
“Yeah, they’re all pretty stupid—minus Sidney, I mean the fact that—“ your husband goes on a three minute ramble about the plot, how he appreciates the intelligence of the main character all while saying that the choice of the ghostface killers was nice. Unbeknownst to him, you were thinking of something else. Something far dirtier than intended.
“Baby,” you cut him off from his ramble and he hums in response.
“You’d be pretty hot as ghostface.” Suguru looks down on you when you say that and raises both eyebrows knowingly.
“Are you insinuating something?” To which you shrug your shoulders before staring back at the big screen in your living room, playing innocent.
“Just saying.”
You weren’t just saying, you knew exactly what you were doing. The next day, you’re sat on your bed folding laundry while watching the newest episode to your favorite podcast. You liked keeping your brain stimulated, and it distracted you from the fact that your husband was always gone for long hours during the day. But when you hear the keys rustling and the front door opening, you raise an eyebrow but don’t question it. Today’s mission must’ve been quick, you think to yourself.
“Welcome home!” you call out from your bedroom but don’t bother to get up, you knew he would come to your bedroom immediately so you keep your eyes on your computer and go back to folding the laundry.
A couple of minutes pass and Suguru doesn’t walk inside the bedroom, so you start getting a little suspicious and decide to go check on him.
“Sugu?” you walk out of the bedroom and notice how the lights downstairs are turned off. You remember leaving them on for him, so he must’ve turned them off on his way upstairs—but where was he?
“Baby, are you in the shower?” the lights in the bathroom were on but the door was closed. Suguru never walked to the bathroom first without greeting you—unless something was wrong. You put your hand on the door handle, but before you could twist the knob, a warm and rough hand covers your mouth and your blood runs cold when you’re being pulled into a different room.
You don’t have time to scream or panic, because when you’re being pinned to the wall by a rather familiar set of hands, your eyes almost bulge out of your skull when you notice the ghostface mask. You’re breathing heavily, cheeks flushed but there’s no sign of panic because you know who this is—the dragon tattoo peeking out of his shirt and the wedding band on his ring finger are enough evidence.
“Do you like scary movies?” Suguru’s voice sounds silky smooth, but the flirting connotation to it has your heart leaping out of your chest.
“Sugu—“
“Wrong,” he pins both hands above your head and his body is so close to yours that you feel the heat radiating off of it. “Let’s try again, I know my girl is smart.”
Your breath is caught in your throat, but you play along and nod sheepishly.
“Do you like scary movies?”
“Mhm,”
“What’s your favorite scary movie?” He traces a finger over your cheek, and the arousal slowly starts pooling between your legs.
“Hm, I don’t know,” you reply in a similar flirtatious tone, nervousness long gone. The realization that you didn’t have to explicitly tell your husband about the ghostface mask and him buying it for your pleasure made all of this very thrilling.
“You have to have a favorite, what comes to mind?”
“Hm, Halloween,” you stick to the same script of the movie, you buck your hips towards him but he pushes a knee between your legs and pins you again to the wall. “Y’know, the one with the guy with the white mask that walks around and stalks baby sitters?”
“Yeah,” Suguru breathes out and takes in how gorgeous you look like this—how he should’ve thought of doing this a long time ago. Your eyes were blown out with lust, chest heaving in excitement all while allowing him to play with you like this. He could feel his pants tighten and his cock was slowly getting hard from knowing exactly what was coming.
“What’s yours?” you bring him out of his thoughts and although you can’t see his face, you know that he was giving you that signature charming smile that always won over your heart.
“Guess.” He purrs out and you subconsciously start grinding against his knee before giving him a reply.
“Nightmare on Elm Street,”
“Wrong,” Suguru goes off script and your lips part for a moment. You’re about to complain, tell him that this wasn’t in the movie—he lets go of your wrists and throws you over his shoulder, delivering a harsh smack to your ass, his rough hand kneads the skin as he makes his way towards your bedroom.
“Better luck next time,” he throws you on the bed and you let out a gasp when your back hits the mattress. You try to sit up, but your husband grabs your ankles and pulls you down towards the end of the bed. “Now let’s see just how fucking filthy you are,”
He parts your legs with his big hands covering the plush skin of your thighs, and you whine out when he removes your shorts to reveal your panties that had an obvious wet patch on them.
“Fuuuck,” he breathes out and lifts up the mask enough for his mouth and nose to be visible. He presses his nose against your panties and takes a whiff of your arousal, the sight is obscene and your face turns red at how pussy drunk he sounds. “Fuck, fuck—should’ve done this sooner baby, you smell so fucking good,” he gives your pussy a kiss through the fabric of your panties before his fingers remove them so messily that you let out a startled noise.
Suguru dives in between your legs and the wet sounds are dirty and make you feel even more turned on. His tongue laps at your clit, fingers pulling the hood back before spitting on it and your eyes roll to the back of your head when he sucks. Two of his thick fingers prod at your entrance, gathering some of the slick that’s pooled there before pushing a single finger inside.
“Thaaaat’s it, good girl,” he breathes out against your clit before giving it a kiss as he pushes the second finger inside. “Yeah, this pussy loves being stuffed by me—fuck, you’re so wet for me. All because of this mask baby girl?” his tone is playful but you’re far too gone to complain and just mindlessly nod.
“So drunk off of me and I haven’t even given you my cock,” he pumps his fingers in and out of you all while curling them to find that one spot inside you. He licks, sucks and spits on your clit with so much passion and when he finds that one spot, you let him know pretty quickly.
“Oh!” you gasp and your thighs shake. “S-Suguru, oh fuck--!” his wrist is burning as he keeps pumping his fingers in and out of you, and the veins in his forearm are bulging out from the sheer strength he is using to finger fuck you until you see white. His free hand comes down and presses against your stomach to apply pressure and keep you pinned down.
You make the mistake of opening your eyes to stare at him. His hand is covered in your arousal, but what truly pushes you over the edge is the fact that his mask had come down and was covering his face entirely. So when he decides to talk you through it, give you that one final push—the ghostface mask seems to intensify the orgasm tenfold.
“I know you’re a good girl, but I’m gonna need you to get dirty for me baby—there it is, theeere it is,” he sounds proud when you finally cum, and you’re loud. You whine and let out soft cries, your hands weakly push at his arm when he keeps fingering you through your orgasm.
“Suguru—too much!” you cry out and gasp when he pulls his fingers out of your soaking pussy to slap your clit.
“Fuck, you’re gorgeous,” he quickly starts to unbuckle his belt and pushes his pants enough to free his cock. The tip nudges at your folds and your husband hovers over you with his lean stature. Big broad shoulders cover your entire frame and you’re fucked out from your previous orgasm.
“I’m going in baby, let me in,” your legs spread instinctively to welcome him inside of you and you groan when you feel the sheer size of him inside you. Your hands grip at the back of his shirt, but Suguru holds himself up on his forearms so that you look at his mask.
“Yeah, that’s right—look at me baby, filthy fucking girl,” his strokes were slow but hard. His hands grab at the back of your thighs and push them before fucking into you harder. “You like it, huh?” you couldn’t even give a proper response, only mindlessly nodding when you could feel him even deeper inside you.
He pushes your knees to your chest before setting a dizzying pace. You feel so full of him, so full of his thick cock and Suguru’s eyes roll to the back of his head behind his mask every time he felt your pussy squeeze around him. His finger rubs at your clit the same way that you’ve shown him you like it, and the tip of his cock repeatedly nudges against that one spot that has you falling apart underneath him with a loud cry.
Your orgasm hits you hard and Suguru can’t hold it in any longer—he fucks into you for another minute, head buried in your neck as he groans out your name. Your pussy milks him dry, and he fills you up to the brim—to the point where you could feel him leak out of you.
You lay there breathing heavily, and you weakly reach for the ghostface mask and remove it off of your husband to reveal his sweaty forehead and flushed cheeks. He looks gorgeous like that, and you lock eyes for the first time since the entire night and you’re immediately pulled in towards one another.
Suguru kisses you with so much passion, dick still buried deep inside you and your legs stay wrapped around him as you two make out heavily under your sheets that stuck to your sweaty bodies. You pull away for a moment to kiss his forehead and Suguru closes his eyes as he melts at your touch.
“Thank you for that,” you say, so love struck that the man can’t help but chuckle at how breathless you sound.
“Let’s do it again, yeah?”

Jamil: We're having basketball practice, and non-club members are not welcome here.
Ace: What are you saying, Jamil-senpai?!
Floyd: Yeah. What's with you all of a sudden?
MC: ...
MC: *smiles* I understand, but I was invited by two of your club members, and I couldn't bring myself to decline.
Ace: You heard that, Jamil-senpai?
Floyd: Seashell-chan will be cheering me on from the bleachers~.
Ace: Eh?!
Jamil: ...
*Ace tried to show off his basketball skills to impress MC, but Floyd would do something to make him stumble each time he did.*

MC: It seems I may have gone too far with my actions toward him last time.
Malleus: How so? Didn’t you mention that you did it out of concern for Al Asim?
MC: Yes, but I wasn't aware that there was a deeper reason behind his actions.
MC: Not until recently.
Malleus: ...
Malleus: Did you catch a glimpse of his past, dear?
MC: *nods*
Malleus: ...
Malleus: It seems we can't wait for the school vacation; we have to go visit your grandmother.

“why are you here? do you even have a ticket?!” taehyung interrogates him once he reaches the gate.
“do i have a ticket? really?” jungkook smirks, tossing his backpack to the ground.
he crosses over to the other side, and with ease, sneaks his hand in between the bars to push the lock into place.
“what do you think i work here for?”
taehyung sighs and mumbles to himself. “fine, my bad. thought we worked to pay for our bills.”
he picks up the backpack and swings it over his shoulder, heading to the control booth. on the other hand, jungkook climbs on the ship the amusement park owner lovingly named the dreamboat. he places his grip on one of the many vines curiously large butterflies are attached to, fully ignoring the existence of the steps. he hoists himself up onto the wooden floor with ease.
unhappy faces with blank stares.
he smiles at them cheerfully.
“i apologize for the hold-up. i’m your captain, jeon jungkook!”
“jungkook! sit!”
“wouldn’t he be the captain?” a high school boy at the very front quips, eyes pointing downwards at taehyung.
“eh, more like the wind beneath our sails.” he ruffles the boy’s head in passing as he trudges over to his desired seat.
“what?”
his spot, a more suitable better term. the farthest row which most first timers do not dare to sit at; the part of the ship closest to the sky when it swings back and forth, higher and higher, until it feels like he’s going to fall off— but he doesn’t. for short bursts of moments, he’s flying.
the passengers are erupting in ear-splitting screams, curses, and laughter. the wide smile plastered on his face could probably be described as sadistic as he observes their reactions. most would find this ride as a nauseating, life-threatening ordeal and its name ridiculously ironic. however, to jungkook, this is what it means to be alive.
he imagined he would be alone here again today.
but as he is brought higher into the air, he discovers one person strapped to the last row of the other side of the ship.
the earth begins to move in slow motion.
they have their face buried in their palms, body shaking with what he can only guess is intense sobbing.
gone is the smile on his face.
jungkook has witnessed a few criers, sure, but not to this degree. a wave of sadness washes over him. he feels guilty and he doesn’t know why. why the hell would he be? he doesn’t even know who you are.
are you that scared? if you’re scared, why would you volunteer to go here alone? if not, then why is your heart breaking?
for a few seconds, the noises cease and his focus on you becomes amplified.
and why is his breaking too?

✨ read part one | read part two ✨
The clock is nearly midnight, and you’re not ready for the magic to disappear.
All night, you’ve kept your heart at bay, questioning every move and word being spoken. Only you can see it, but a dark cloud is looming over you. Doubts linger like a predator waiting to pounce and take its prey. You want to avoid getting it wrong or being let down.
And your heart is the ultimate betrayer, but it doesn’t lie.
You’re caught up in sentimental memories from the past. His nose scrunches and boisterous cackles are reminiscent of the boy you remember. Hanging out and reliving past adventures felt like no time had passed, yet life updates from then to now made him feel like a stranger.
Giggles and claps, along with snorts and dribbles of wine, glide down the side of your mouth. The third wine bottle is on its way to being destroyed by the pair of you.
He’s careful to avoid the subject of Josie, for which you are grateful. If you could be honest, you would ask him why he was still with her and what he saw in her. But it’s not your place, nor are you in the position to pry.
Your eyes fall on the plants sitting on the corner shelf in the dining area—an array of pothos, snake, and rubber plants. They’re your typical plants, but it’s the planters that they’re sitting in that make you smile. The planters have stubby arms and legs with smiley faces.
Jungkook follows your gaze. “What are we looking at?”
You point to the planters. “Those little guys. They’re cute.”
“Thanks,” Jungkook says. “I made them.”
“The planters or the plants?”
He swirls his wine glass, letting out a small laugh. “The planters.”
“You made those planters?” You stand, walking over to them.
“When I get bored, I try new creative outlets and ceramics was one of them,” he says, taking a sip of wine.
“Wow, you have a knack for things like that, huh?” You pick up a planter, inspecting it before setting it down. “You could open up your own Etsy shop or something. People would buy these in a heartbeat.”
“Eh, I suppose. I just like doing things with my hands. It makes me feel useful.” Jungkook shrugs. He watches your every move as you continue eyeing the different ceramic pieces he’s made: vases, candleholders, etc. “Do you think people would buy the things I make?”
You lift a coiled vase, turning to him. “Are you kidding me? People would eat this shit up. Once your pieces sell like hotcakes on Etsy, Urban Outfitters will slide in your DMs.” You’re not surprised Jungkook easily excelled at something like ceramics. He’s always been talented at anything he picks up.
“And you were good at anything creative when we were in school—art class, wood shop. I would’ve failed wood shop if you didn’t help me finish my project.”
“Yeah, your birdhouse was fucking terrible.”
You scoff, walking toward him, playfully shoving his shoulder. “It wasn’t that bad.”
He deadpans. “Even birds would avoid your birdhouse.”
“Shut up! I tried my hardest.”
“Didn’t try hard enough,” he teases, his eyes crinkling at the corners with a grin on his face.
The pair of you continue to bicker about nothing, but the constant buzzes of notifications from his phone are hard to ignore. You’d catch Jungkook peering, tapping his fingers, debating if he should reply.
You sip from the bottle of dessert wine, you find it sweet and refreshing on your lips. “If you need to get that, then don’t let me stop you.”
Jungkook lifts his phone. “Nah—it’s nothing,” he protests before his phone vibrates in his hand. He glances at the illuminated screen and he finally picks it up. “Sorry, let me answer this. I’ll be right back.”
He hurries out of the kitchen and into the darkened living room. You can only hear Jungkook’s stern, hushed voice, but you can’t make anything out. His change in demeanor hints at one person, and it’s Josie. Which meant it was your cue to leave. You’ve overstayed your welcome.
You raise your wine glass, gulping the golden honey peach Moscato. Thank goodness they’re easy to guzzle. A drop runs down the side of your mouth, and you swipe it away as Jungkook walks back in.
“I’m so sorry about that.”
“Hmm? Oh—don’t worry about it. I, um, I’ve probably overstayed my welcome, so I should get going.”
“What? No, stay. We have to finish our Moscato.”
A nervous chuckle leaves your lips as you contemplate his proposition. There’s a tug in your heart, wanting to stay into the early hours of the morning, but there’s your brain telling you to take it slow and go home.
“I wish I could stay, but I should head home. I have a load of laundry to fold and sadly, it won’t fold itself.” You stand up from the bar chair, feeling a bit wobbly on your feet. Jungkook rushes to your side, gripping your waist, but you catch yourself by holding onto the counter.
“You can’t hold your liquor?” He asks with a wide grin, pulling you upright.
Clearing your throat and flattening down your jeans, you spit out, “Ha-ha. I can hold my liquor just fine. I merely tripped.”
Jungkook chuckles. “You’re a terrible liar—see, I still remember that.”
You gasp sharply, with a hand over your chest. “I’m surprised that big ‘ol head of yours can remember anything. I thought it was only filled with games and girls.” Sticking out your tongue, you conk him on the head with your knuckles.
“Ow.” He rubs the spot as if you had knocked him with a bat.
Taking out your phone from your pocket, you pull up Uber.
“Let me take you home, at least.”
You give him a look, slowly blinking your eyes at the devilishly handsome friend. Could you even call him a friend again? Maybe it was too early for that.
“Did you forget that we both had too much to drink tonight? So, you shouldn’t be driving me. It’s fine, Kook. I’ll get an Uber.”
Jungkook sighs, knowing he can’t convince you otherwise. “Fine. I’ll wait with you outside until it gets here.”
“Well, it’s not like I can stop you.”
The pair of you are sitting on his front steps, watching cars drive by and cats strolling through the neighborhood. His place is in a newer part of town, one that was built while you were away. It’s familiar and odd, just like you and Jungkook. As much as you want to forget the past and move on, there’s a part of you holding onto what the two of you had. Would you ever become best friends again? Would you even consider letting him be a part of your life? Those were questions for another time, but it felt like you had your best friend back, even if it was just for tonight.
As the alcohol in your system dwindles, the brain fog becomes clearer, along with your hearing. A nudge from Jungkook makes you come back to reality. “Hmm?”
“I asked, ‘Do you still go stargazing’?” He chuckles, shaking his head.
“Yeah, I do, but the spot I went to during college isn’t as good as the one we used to go to.”
Jungkook hums, avoiding your gaze as he picks up a small pebble from the ground. “We should go there sometime,” he mumbles under his breath. He continues toying with the pebble before throwing it into the bushes.
You’re trying to suppress a smile and swat away the butterflies growing in your stomach. It’s dumb to think things could go back to the way they were. It’s unrealistic and you don’t want to get hurt again.
Turning toward him, you want to set the record straight. “Let’s um, take this whole friendship thing slow, Kook. Dinner was great. It was nice talking to you again, but you do understand where I’m coming from, right?”
He nibbles on his bottom lip and nods. “I’ll follow your lead.”
You check your phone again. The Uber is two minutes away. As you click it off, you turn and see Jungkook staring. Something is brewing behind those starry eyes. With a raised brow, you ask, “What?”
“Can I call or text you sometime?”
“Just don’t, uh, go texting me all day and night. Your girlfriend might get jealous. Might even put a bounty on my head,” you tease, reaching to pull his black CK cap over his face.
He takes his cap off, carding his hand through his hair before placing it back on his head. As you’re immersed in your phone and looking up at the street for your Uber, Jungkook silently observes you like has for the past few years. Some might say it’s a red flag, but how else was he supposed to know if you were happy? That’s all he’s ever wanted—for you to be happy, loved, and have all your dreams come true, even though he wasn’t there to cheer you on. For seven years, he has been tormented by what he did, and he didn't want to jeopardize any possibility of any kind of relationship with you. It doesn’t even have to be like before, just as long as the two of you are on speaking terms. He could live with that.
A dark sedan pulls up alongside the pair of you. You grab the door handle, pause for a moment, then turn back to Jungkook. “We’ll talk soon?” He raises both eyebrows and hums softly, giving a thin smile. “Bye, Kook.”
Two weeks passed, and there was no text or call from Jungkook. Plenty of thoughts ran through your mind, the number one being Josie had found out about your little dinner and locked him in a basement, cutting off all contact with the outside world—especially if it was with you.
But you’re a big girl. Why should you be waiting around to hear from him, anyway?
If there’s one thing you hate about adulting, it’s cooking. You missed the days when you were in your angsty teen phase, headphones in, and hating the world, then your parents would yell ‘Dinner’s ready’. And as much as you missed home-cooked meals, you loved that your parents were off gallivanting around the world, living their retirement dreams. One day that’ll be you, living off your retirement and eating out 24/7, but for now, there’s a decision to be made about what will go in your salad for the week.
Cucumbers.
Strolling in the veggie section, your eyes scan for the green vegetables before landing on them. You stood debating on which one to get. Why are there so many varieties? But according to Google, Persian cucumbers go great in salads.
As you grabbed a second cucumber, you looked up to see the man who betrayed your trust. And no—it wasn’t Jungkook. It was his roommate, Jimin, aka ‘the trickster’.
With a stomp in your step and a cucumber in your hand, you march over to him, striking him on the shoulder with it.
“Ow!” Jimin exclaims, rubbing his shoulder as he turns around. His brows furrowed, lips in a full pout when he finds you standing behind him. “What the hell?” He looks to see the weapon in your hand. “Did you just hit me with a cucumber?” You hum. “Why’d you do that?”
Tossing the cucumber in your basket and crossing your arms, you huff out, “Because you deserved it!”
“Deserve what?”
You roll your eyes at the not-so-innocent man. Was he trying to play Cupid or something with you and Jungkook?…Because his stupid plan kind of worked. You truly had a great time at dinner, and it was nostalgic, just like how things used to be.
“Mmhm. Count your days, Park,” you quip, turning around to head in the other direction. Jimin’s calling after you to wait for him, but you keep on walking.
As he catches up, standing beside you, he nudges your arm. “Oh, come on. I was just trying to help a friend out,” he finally admits.
“Well, don’t.”
Jimin strides in front of you, stopping you in your tracks. “Hey—” You attempt to go around him, but he’s unrelenting. “Just hear me out, okay?” You sigh, waving for him to continue. “I’m sorry I ambushed you, but it was the only way you’d hang out with Jungkook. I know the two of you had shit go down in the past, and I just wanted to help you both move on to being friends again.”
“Why does it matter to you?”
“Because,” he pauses and straightens his back with his chin up. “I like you and I like Jungkook, and who wouldn’t want to see their friends be happy, hmm?”
Jungkook’s laughter echoed in your mind. You knew it was dumb to miss something as simple as a laugh, but you had heard it for so many years, and then it stopped for a long time. It felt nice to have a piece of an old friend back.
Jimin gives you a look and a grin sweeps across his face. There’s a satisfaction behind that grin and you wish you could wipe off.
“You’re lucky you’re cute, Park Jimin,” you say, stepping off to the side as a customer rolls by with their cart through the two of you.
He laughs, showing off his pearly whites. “I should check out and head off—don’t want you to start getting any ideas and start a food fight here in the grocery store.”
“Yeah, you should run.” You pretend to grab the cucumber and watch him run off to self-checkout.
A buzz from your back pocket alerts you of a notification and, to your surprise, it’s a text from Jungkook. It looks like he hadn’t forgotten about you.
Jungkook 1:34 PM Hey. I’m throwing a small dinner for Jimin’s birthday on Friday at 7 pm. Say you’ll come.
You 1:35 PM Define small.
Incoming Call Jungkook
“If I come and it’s a big party like last time, then count me out.”
“Hello to you, too.”
“Right—hey. No, but seriously. I’m not a big crowd kinda gal.”
“Including me and you, there would only be six people. That’s not a lot, right?”
It’s not, but you’ll have to save your social battery for the dinner party.
“No, yeah, that’s fine.”
“And don’t worry, you know everyone—Lana’s going too.”
The big question is: will Josie be there?
A beat passes and you realize you’re standing in the middle of an aisle, probably blocking someone’s way.
Jungkook’s voice comes through your phone, calling your name a few times. “Hello? Hey. Are you still there?”
You turn to make sure no one’s around. “Yeah, sorry. I’m still here. Is, um, ‘who-shall-not-be-named’ coming?” You ask, nibbling on the inside of your cheek. It’s a name for fuck’s sake, but you can’t bring yourself to say it.
He chuckles at your subtle attempt to avoid the Josie topic. “I can promise you that she’s not coming. Is that why you’re hesitant to say yes?”
“Pfft–what! No!” you blurt out, lying through your teeth. Truth be told—yeah, it is. You don’t want a repeat of Jimin’s party.
You clear your throat, “Anyway, yeah, I’ll come. Count me in.”
“Cool! See you on Friday.”
“Can I bring anything?”
“Nope–just yourself. Oh, and it’s a surprise, so don’t say anything to Jimin.”
“‘Kay…sounds good. I’ll see you Friday.”
“Can’t wait to see you,” he said with enthusiasm before hanging up.
As you’re mixing the salad, you’re staring absent-mindedly at the abstract painting that’s framed on your wall because those five words rang in your ears on the drive home.
You mumbled those words in different tones, trying to make sense of the innocent expression. It’s completely normal for Jungkook to be excited. He hasn’t seen/hung out/talked to you in almost seven years. Yeah, that’s it—at least it’s what you’re telling yourself.
Lana waves her hand in your face. “Um, hello! I don’t think you can mix the salad anymore!”
Looking down, a few springs of leaves have been tossed out of the bowl and onto the counter. Oops. You pick them up, throwing them in the garbage bin. “Sorry—I was distracted.”
“Clearly.”
As you push the bowl aside, your focus is on the unopened bottle of wine.
“Are you going to tell me what’s distracting you, or should I wait until the wine settles in?”
“You can wait until the wine settles in. It’ll give me time to forget about it.”
Lana picks up a fork, threatening you with it. “I swear to god if you don’t tell me—”
“Okay, okay. The other day, Jungkook called to invite me to Jimin’s dinner party.” Lana narrows her eyes and hums, intently listening. “At the end of our conversation, he said, ‘Can’t wait to see you’, and he seemed excited.”
She nods her head, waiting for the rest of the story, but you don’t say anything else. “That’s it? God–that’s so boring. I thought you guys kissed or something.”
“Lana!” you cry out, almost knocking over the wine bottle.
“What? I thought he would’ve made his move by now.”
You roll your eyes. “There’s no move to make. He’s with Josie, remember?”
“Josie Schmosie—she’s old news, but you,” she points and grins, “You’re back and here to fuck things up,” she claps with a gleeful smile.
“Oh, will you stop it? I’m not back to do anything—and what the hell, Lana? You’re not helping!”
Lana chortles, covering her mouth. “You’re right. I’m sorry. I’m sure what Jungkook said to you is just a simple expression of how much he can’t wait to see you and get you underneath his sheets.”
You sigh, shaking your head. “I don’t even know why I bothered you with this.”
“Okay, I’ll stop. I promise—just kidding. Can I ask one more thing?” You wave your hand for her to continue. “You’re telling me you don’t even want to revel in the idea of the two of you being something more than just friends?”
The iciness of the tiled counter becomes apparent underneath your fingers, and you’re faced with a question you never wanted to answer—aloud, at least. Considering that he’s tried breaking up with Josie multiple times, but somehow is still with her, you’re unsure what will push Jungkook to cut off the head of the snake.
You hate that Jeon Jungkook has been—scratch that—is your Roman empire. He’s the one thing you’ve come back to even when you didn’t want to. It’s the same three questions you’ve had: Is he okay, is he happy, does he miss you too?
And if you’re completely honest, the answer is yes. Of course, you’ve reveled in the idea of you and him.
“I don’t know, Lana. I mean yes—the thought has crossed my mind. I’ve liked him since senior year, but it takes two to tango, and Jungkook can’t do that right now. Besides, I won’t wait around for him to come to his senses.”
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me, that’s the expression, isn’t it?
You can’t imagine going through another heartbreak from the same boy.
Things happen in life that don’t make sense.
Especially for the price of a pair of earrings, you’re currently looking to purchase as Jimin’s birthday present. The sales associate senses your hesitation and brings out a similar pair that’s on sale.
“Ah—that’s more like it. I’ll take those and do you still provide gift wrapping?” you ask, looking at the sign you saw on the way in.
“Yes, we do. Let me go into the back and wrap it up for you.”
The associate disappears through the back door, probably to talk shit about you to their co-workers, but hey–a girl has to save money where she can. It’s a fragile economy.
You roam, looking through the display cases of bracelets, rings, and watches. A gold Casio watch catches your eye–it looks like one Jungkook used to wear. He treasured the vintage-looking watch because it was his father’s. Come to think of it, you haven’t seen him with it when you saw him. Maybe he lost it or replaced it with something else.
Either way, you continue eyeing pieces of jewelry you’ll never purchase for yourself, and it’s when you look up to catch a glimpse of a girl you recognize. But it’s the man marking her neck that isn’t your ex-best friend. You’ve locked eyes with which she-who-must-not-be-named, and maybe it’s not too late to pretend you didn’t see her.
The sales associate returns the wrapped gift along with your credit card. You quickly thank her, looping your arm through the gift bag. Your eyes scan everything in view to see if the coast is clear. There’s no sign of your enemy, so you dart out of the store only to find Josie and this mystery man looking at the window display at the neighboring boutique.
Fuck, just go on your way and don’t engage. Don’t engage! You say to yourself, swiftly walking past them.
You’re busy berating yourself to hear someone calling your name. Stopping in your tracks, you sigh, waiting for Josie to catch up.
“Hey!” Josie chirps like the two of you are friendly.
“Hi…” you say glumly, with furrowed eyebrows. She’s never been nice to you before, so why should you start now?
“Can you not tell Jungkook what you saw?”
You tut, blinking your eyes at her like you owe her a favor. “Look Josie—what you do doesn’t concern me, okay?” you say, walking past her. It’s been a few weeks since you last saw her and she’s cheating on Jungkook with some guy? God, if only you could smack him upside the head right now—Josie too!
You’re a few steps ahead before you stop in your tracks and turn, walking back to her. You huff, “Tell me one thing. If you’re off with some guy behind Jungkook’s back. Why are you still stringing him along, then?”
Josie looks at you, ready to answer, but you raise your hand, stopping her. “Forget I asked. It’s none of my business.”
As you walk off again, there’s a revolting feeling in the pit of your stomach having to keep this to yourself. Jungkook deserves to know the kind of person Josie is, but it’s not your place to say anything. You’re not his best friend anymore. Honestly, you’re unsure what the two of you are and sometimes, there are some things you just shouldn’t say.
Whenever you think about seeing Josie and that mystery man, it makes you want to gag, and throw something at the wall, but mainly at her. Who knows how long she’s been cheating on Jungkook? You tossed and turned in bed, debating whether you should say something to him.
The dinner party is tonight, and if you happen to be alone with him and the Josie topic comes about, then you’ll mention it.
Another thought crosses your mind, what if he thinks you’re making this up because you’re jealous of Josie? Ah, fuck. Either way, you’ll turn out to be the bad guy, right? You’ll either break his heart or you’ll sound like a jealous person.
You don’t want to ruin whatever the two of you have, because you’ve missed the comfort of an old friend and you don’t want to lose it again.
Even though you know the code, you don’t press the four digits. Instead, you knock, waiting for someone to open the door.
“Hey!” Jungkook says, eyes dropping to your hands. “I said you didn’t have to bring anything.” He takes a step back, letting you through, and grabbing the box of Soju.
“I know, but Lana always says, ‘Don’t go anywhere empty-handed’,” you say, flashing a small smile.
“Ah, well, the Soju will go great with tonight’s menu.”
The aroma from Jungkook’s cooking is immaculate. You can almost taste the different dishes he’s prepared.
“Oh my god, it smells so good–like how your mom used to make food for us all the time.” You walk over to the dinner table, displayed with grilled meat, japchae, tteokbokki, buddaejjigae, and a plethora of banchan. “How is your mom? I miss her and her cooking.”
Jungkook chuckles softly. “She’s doing great. Her cooking, though? Not so much. It’s become too salty for my taste—Don’t tell her I told you that.”
You rub your hands together. “Oh, you bet that’s the first thing I’ll say after giving her a hug.”
“Don’t! She’ll disown me. She already hates that I’m a better cook than her,” Jungkook says, opening the box of Soju.
“You should become a private chef or something.”
He opens the refrigerator door, placing the Soju to chill. “Nah—I’ll just cook at home. I’m still learning, testing the waters, y’know?”
“I hate you.”
His eyes perk up with concern. “What did I do this time?”
“You’re good at everything you do—it’s unfair to the rest of us peasants.”
Jungkook relaxes at your answer, thinking he did something wrong again.
Placing the last Soju bottle in the fridge, he turns back, scanning you from head to toe. You’re dressed in an oversized Linkin Park band tee and jeans. He recognizes the shirt, the one you wore religiously during your emo teenage years.
“What? Is there something on my face?” you ask, touching your cheeks.
He shakes his head no and clears his throat. “I, um, wanted to talk to you...about something.”
“Oh?” Your eyes and ears perk up, but you’re interrupted by a commotion coming from the front door.
“The birthday boy is coming! Hide!” Lana says in a hushed tone. She rushes over to you, crouching down behind the counter, pulling you down with her. You chuckle, shaking your head.
With the front door open, Jungkook’s other roommate, Namjoon, walks in first–hand in hand with his girlfriend, and then following is the birthday boy.
Lana peers above the chairs to see if they’ve come in. “Surprise!” She cries out. Everyone’s ears must be ringing at this point.
Jimin gives a half-smile along with a chuckle. “Lana, you ran past us in the driveway.”
Her mouth turns into a cheesy smile. “You caught me. Sorry, I kind of ruined the surprise.”
“Happy birthday Jimin,” you say, walking over to him, arms out for a hug.
“I’m glad to see you and Kook have made up,” Jimin utters. “He needs someone like you around.” He pulls back, squeezing your arms before letting you go.
Namjoon and his girlfriend, Nora, greet you and Jungkook and then take a seat at the dinner table.
You look at Jungkook. “We’ll talk later?”
He hums in agreement. “Yeah, later.”
You’ve missed this—hanging out with old friends. It’s fun to be around people who you’ve known for a long time. You remember Namjoon being a senior when you were a freshman and the stories you’d hear about him—prom king, valedictorian; he did it all when he was in school. And Nora was the perfect woman for him. They’re both working toward their doctorate in philosophy. Their IQs were the equivalent of yours, Lana, Jimin, and Jungkook’s combined.
“Wow, I feel unqualified to be sitting at this table,” you say jokingly. Being an HR specialist was never the plan, but you’ve come to enjoy your job because you like to think you’re a good judge of character when it comes to hiring.
“Let’s stop talking about work, and have some fun! After all, it is Jimin’s birthday. How about a game of Truth or Dare?” Nora asks, looking around the dining table to get some confirmation. “I need verbal consent, please.”
Everyone glances at each other, awaiting answers. There are various responses, and everyone agrees to play.
Nora claps with a joyful squeal. “Okay, Jimin gets to ask first since it’s his birthday. Choose your victim, and anything’s fair game!”
There’s a groan from you and Jungkook. You have a feeling this night will become interesting.
Jimin rubs his hands together and then points to each person. “Eeny, meeny, miny, moe…” He continues the rhyme, and you know he’s itching to choose you or Jungkook, and his finger lands on Jungkook.
“Oh-ho-ho. Please pick dare, or I’ll make you answer something you don’t want to,” he says, playfully sticking out his tongue.
Jungkook narrows his eyes at his devilish roommate. “Don’t test me, Park. I can make your life a living hell, too.”
“Ah yes, I’d like to see you try.”
Your heart’s racing, and your hands are sweaty while gripping the chair’s armrest. Jimin has always been sneaky, and you’re sure he’ll make Jungkook kiss you.
Everyone’s waiting for Jungkook’s answer. He groans before replying, “Fine. Dare.”
Both Lana and Nora let out muffled squeals while you’re holding your breath.
“I dare you…to say something dirty to ____.” Jimin grins from ear to ear, staring at you.
You knew Jimin would be unrelenting when it came to you and Jungkook.
Turning to Jungkook, you say, “If you’re uncomfortable, don’t do it. It’s just a dumb game.”
“Hey! Nora said anything’s fair game and my dare is completely harmless. I could’ve asked you to do something else, but I didn’t,” Jimin refutes.
“It’s fine,” Jungkook says with a scowl. Turning to you, he leans over. His breath is warm against your ear, goosebumps are trickling on your skin, and your hair is standing on its end. He whispers, “You look so pretty—wish I could do this forever.”
“Hey, hey, hey! You’re supposed to say it aloud for everyone to hear,” Jimin protests.
You visibly gulp, returning to a straightened position in your chair. The ten words he said shouldn’t affect you, but it does. The room has grown warmer and you’re practically melting like butter in a hot pan. It’s just a silly game and you’re so over Jimin and his antics.
“Your dare was ‘to say something dirty to ___’. You didn’t specify if it was a whisper or if I had to shout it from the rooftop,” Jungkook chirps, quickly glancing in your direction to make sure you’re okay.
Jimin glares at Jungkook with a blaze of a thousand suns. “It’s implied that you say it out loud so everyone can hear.”
Lana elbows Jungkook. “What did you say? How dirty was it? Like, give us a rating, PG-13, R, NC-17?” He doesn’t answer her, but she looks at you, pointing her fingers to her eyes and then back to you, indicating that you’ll tell her later.
“I’ll let it go this time, but from now on, no whispering, and everyone has to hear what everyone says,” Jimin demands, awaiting confirmation from the group. “Okay, Jungkook, it’s your turn.”
He turns to Lana and bluntly asks, “Would you ever sleep with Jimin?” Jungkook peers at Jimin because he knows that Jimin’s had a crush on Lana since high school.
Lana’s mouth twists before answering, “Yeah, I guess.”
Jimin scoffs, offended by her response. “You guess? What’s that supposed to mean?”
“I don’t know if you’re any good in bed!”
“And I don’t know if you’re any good in bed!” he chirps back.
“Please—I’ll be the best sex you’ll ever have,” she jeers, crossing her arms.
Jimin stands. “Oh yeah? Prove it.” He retorts, raising his chin in defense.
Everyone ‘oohs’, staring at the two like they’re in a stand-off.
“Prove it! Prove it!” Nora urges, pounding her fists on the table.
Namjoon fakes a laugh, muffling his girlfriend’s pounding. “I’m sorry. She’s had too much to drink. Don’t listen to her.”
Jimin leans forward, hands on the table. “Yeah…prove it.” He raises an eyebrow, wondering if Lana will back down or take on the challenge.
“Right now?” She tilts her head, scanning him from head to toe.
He shrugs. “Mm, what a shame. I guess you’ll never be able to prove it,” he says with a tut.
The chair legs squeak when Lana pushes herself to stand. “When’s the last time you got tested?”
“A month ago,” Jimin quickly replies like no one else is in the room. “I’m clean. You?”
“I’m clean too. You got condoms?”
You sink in your chair, wiping your face, watching these two go off on each other. Honestly, you can’t believe you’re witnessing this.
“Got a whole box ready for you.”
Lana marches over to Jimin, grabbing his hand. “Well, come on birthday boy.”
Your mouth drops, watching the two-run upstairs. “They’re not gonna fuck, are they?” Lana has been in a dry spell for the last year, so you don’t blame her for wanting to get laid.
“Yeah, I think they are,” Jungkook answers. “Yah—” he turns to yell toward Jimin’s room. “Keep it down, will ya?”
The rest of you continue the game, but they’re just questions to get to know each other.
“Jungkook, if there’s one thing you could take back. What would it be?”
He looks in your direction, then plays with his Soju glass, spinning it a few times. You’re biting the inside of your cheek, eyes bouncing from him and then to Nora and Namjoon.
“Um, I’d go back to the day I broke ___’s heart—take everything back.”
The couple looks at each other, forcing a fake laugh. “Well, I can sense the tension between our friends here,” Nora says. “Joonie, baby, didn’t you wanna show me that thing in your room?”
Namjoon’s eyebrows furrow. “What thing?”
Nora stands, tugging his hand, and drags him down the hallway to his room. You can hear the two bickering before the door closes.
You’re silent. Unsure of what to say. You want to move forward, but the past keeps haunting you. Will it always be like this with you and Jungkook? And certainly, there are things you didn’t say that you should say now, but what’s the point?
“We should clean up,” you say, picking up a few plates to stack them. Jungkook follows your lead, helps clear the table, and walks over to set them in the sink.
Turning on the faucet, you rinse off the plates. Jungkook leans back against the kitchen island, eyes scanning over you.
“I meant what I said earlier.”
You close your eyes, then breathe out a sigh. Looking at the boy who used to be your best friend. His eyes hold the galaxy and you get easily lost in them. You’re an explorer longing to find the next big discovery. It’s right in front of you, but at a moment’s notice, you might lose him like you did before.
“Kook…we were kids back then, and you can’t change the past.” You continue to wash the dishes, but it’s hard to focus when he’s near.
Jungkook reaches to turn off the water, gently squeezing your arm to look at him. “Yeah, I know, but I can try to fix it now, right?”
Your hands grip onto the sink, your eyes focused on the water dripping from the spout. You fixate on Jungkook’s words. How can he reconcile a friendship he tore apart? And for what? A girl?
He calls your name, breaking your focus. “Talk to me.”
There’s a tightness in your chest as you turn to him. “Fix it? I don’t want you to fix it.”
“O-kay…then tell me what you want and I’ll do it.”
If it was only that easy.
You close the distance between you, looking at him. “What do I want?” He hums. “I want you to be broken. Wrecked—just like how I was. It took me years to get over you—our friendship. I hate it, Jungkook.”
“I hate what I did to you—”
“No,” you say, shaking your head. “You don’t understand, Kook.” Your heart is aching—like someone reached in, squeezing it as hard as they can.
“Then explain.”
Your eyes meet his. “You. Own. Me,” you say, your index finger pressing into his chest with each word. “These last few weeks have been excruciating. I don’t know who I am when I’m around you. No matter how hard I try to convince myself that I’ve moved on. You’ll always be the one thing that I’ll never be over.”
Your heart is pounding, and every inch of your body is burning to the touch. You didn’t think anyone could ever make you this livid. But as much as you want to hate him, moving back home simply confirms everything you’ve been attempting to hide for the past seven years—you love him.
“I was hurt, too. You don’t think I was?” Jungkook says softly, lifting your chin so you can meet his gaze. “I was devastated, knowing how much I hurt you. I couldn’t eat or sleep for days. Seeing and talking to you every day and then it just stopped. My world was falling apart, and I didn’t know how to fix it. I watched you go off to live your life while I was stuck here with you, haunting me everywhere I went. Philz, the damn grocery store, the park–you were there. There was no escaping you. So yeah, I was wrecked and broken, just like you.”
The narrative you created in your head of Jungkook and Josie was something out of a fairytale. Boy meets girl, they fall in love and live happily ever after. But according to Jungkook, it was hardly the case. You haunted him as much as he haunted you throughout the years.
Chuckling to yourself, you think about how this could've been avoided if one of you had just spoken up. Stepping back from him, you take a breath to calm your nerves. You lean back against the sink, arms folded. “Can I ask you something?”
Jungkook’s eyes flick to you and his body mirrors yours. “I’m an open book, ___.”
“Why did you give up so easily? Why didn’t you fight for me? Our friendship?”
A beat passes, and he doesn’t respond. It’s foolish to think he’d have an answer for you.
Your lips thin, and you breathe out a sigh of frustration. “It’s fine, Kook. Don’t answer. We’ll just go back to the way things were. Have a good life.” You walk off toward the living room and he follows.
“You don’t get to walk away,” he says, shutting the front door when you try to open it.
“Yeah? Watch me!” You turn back to the door, attempting to open it, but Jungkook’s hand is holding it shut.
He grips your arm. “I was scared, okay? I was young and stupid, and scared.”
You turn around and push him back. “Scared? You’re still scared! That’s why you can’t even break up with Josie! She’s cheating on you, by the way! I saw her with some guy glued to her neck. I don’t understand why you can’t just let her go.”
“I’m not scared of breaking up with Josie. I just got comfortable with her being around and didn’t think I could do any better.” Jungkook steps back and reclines on the couch’s armrest.
“You don’t think you can do better than Josie? You’re Jeon Jungkook, of course, you can.”
He forces a laugh, shaking his head no. “I barely graduated high school, practically failed my college classes. I don’t have a steady job and I have no idea what I’m passionate about. So yeah, I didn’t think I could do any better than Josie, until…”
“Until…?”
“Until I saw you at the party. I know it sounds cheesy, but when I saw you standing in the living room. It was like a sign from the universe, waking me up from this auto-pilot life I was living in. Seeing you again really shook me up.”
You could say the same thing about seeing Jungkook again. The universe loved to toy with the two of you, didn’t it?
“And then after our dinner two weeks ago, I broke up with Josie–like officially. I gave all her stuff back. I’m not answering calls or anything. So, I guess when you saw her, she must’ve moved on to the next guy–that’s what I wanted to talk to you about, me breaking up with her.”
There was a sense of relief when he said that because you were ready to fight Josie.
“Oh,” you say softly, taking a step toward him. “I guess I was wrong about you—being scared, I mean.”
Jungkook’s toying with his necklace, circling it around his neck. “I’m still scared.” He steps toward you, waiting for you to look at him. “I’m scared I’m gonna mess this up,” he says.
“How are you going to mess this up? We’re just friends.”
“That’s the thing. I don’t want to be ‘just friends’.”
Your gaze flicks to him and then drops to his lips and back up again. You know what he’s alluding to, but you need to hear those words leave his lips. “I don’t know what you mean.”
He knows you’re teasing him. “Do I really have to spell it out for you?”
“Yes.”
“Because I love you, okay? I’m in love with you. Have always been in love with you, and I’m scared to lose you again.”
Your eyes are glossy, fighting back tears. You’ve longed to hear those words from Jungkook, and like him, you’re afraid of an unknown future, but right now, all that matters is him.
As a tear falls down your cheek, you’re ready to let love in. Let him in. Discover new things. Rediscover old things. You’re ready to be vulnerable, move forward from the past, and let go of the heartache and pain.
“I’m sorry,” you breathe.
Jungkook steps toward you, cupping your face. “No, no, no. You have nothing to be sorry for.”
You shake your head. “No, I do. I’m sorry I didn’t fight harder for you–for our friendship. It’s my fault too.”
His thumbs caress your cheeks. “Hey, can we agree to let the past be in the past and just focus on us now, in the present?”
Your hands cover his, and you nod, flashing a soft smile. “Mhm. I’d like that.”
Jungkook wipes your tear-stained cheeks. “Now, can I do something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time?”
“What’s that?”
His lips finally touch yours. It’s not fervent or haste. It’s soft, uncertain. But you kiss him back. You’re savoring each point of contact. His lips overlapping yours, capturing a hint of your cherry Chapstick. Your eyes are half-lidded and you pull back for air, but he leans in, bringing you back in for more. His nose bumps into yours as he turns his head, deepening the kiss. Your body presses against his, your fists balled up, tugging on his white t-shirt. There’s a glow of excitement and nervousness rushing throughout your body when one of his hands grips your waist and the other is on the small of your back, pushing you further into him.
A low whine leaves his lips when you withdraw. He reaches for another kiss, but you stop him.
“Kook—” you whisper as his forehead touches yours.
“I don’t want to stop kissing you,” he says, kissing your cheek and tracing your jawline. “Don’t think I can ever stop.”
You chuckle. “I don’t want to stop kissing you, either. Maybe we should take this to the bedroom?”
While lying in bed next to Jungkook, you simply enjoy each other’s presence. Your fingers trace stars across his chest and you love how he breathes–his chest rising and falling ever so softly. The sound of his voice vibrates through your fingers and into your body. With one arm wrapped around you and the other resting behind his head, Jungkook tells you about the dreams he had but never dared to pursue–you being one of them.
And as the clock strikes midnight, the magic of you and him didn’t dissipate. It’s here. It’s real.

Worried critters
(Sorry for the long wait and ant could color the background but eh your here for the story anywaysXD)
When morning came, in the critter’s home, where loud snores could be heard. Bobby woke up, already full of energy. She jumped softly out of her bed, as she stretched her body. She looked out the window, seeing the sun not yet out .she looked at her messy roommates still asleep. ‘Well then, time to go to work!’ She thought, as she walked out of the room, and into the kitchen,on her way to the kitchen, she saw a sleeping catnap on the couch. Seeing as he didn’t had a blanket, she went back to their bedroom and took one, slowly putting it on him and continued to go towards the kitchen.
As she looked inside the fridge and cabinets, she decided today would be some old fashion pancakes with eggs and bacons. As she took a bowl and a whisk, she begun to put the flour, butter, milk and eggs, a tablespoon of sugar, some baking powder, and a pinch of salt. As she whisked it all together, humming a tune. She begun to ready the pan and heat it up.
Getting the butter and putting it on the heated pan, as she puts batter in, setting the timer, she peaked her head outside the kitchen to see catnap still asleep.Guess all the ruckus bobby’s been making didn’t wake him. she heard her timer pinging, so She went back and flipped the pancake, seeing the pancake a golden brown shade she smiled at her work, she continued this for an hour, before she heard the door to their room opening. “Bobby? You’re up early today.” Said a yawning bubba who looked in the kitchen, seeing the large stack of pancakes. “….what the occasion today? You seem to have made more than you usually do…” bubba asked.
seeing his friend happy isn’t rare or something, but today bobby seems to be more happy than usual. “Oh, good morning bubba! How was your day yesterday?” Bobby smiled, as she asked bubba. “....Stressful, some of the colleges applications the kids wanted to go to has essays. And I also need to interview them a bit. How was your day yesterday? When we came home, you weren’t here. Dogday went to panic mode you know.” He said beside bobby as he smiled at his last sentence. “Oh, i just had a little chat with our savior…. ….Maybe not so little.. hehe.” She answered, scratching her cheek while she flipped the pancake.
Bubba then helped take the pancakes to the table when bobby finally finished the last batch. “Well, next time try to leave a note at the table so we would know. “ he said as he smiled sleepily at bobby.” I’ll wake the others up, try to wake catnap if ya can” bubba said as he went to their bedroom.
As bobby walk towards the couch and stood in front of it, who has the still sleeping catnap with eyes bags under his eyes. She crouched down and tapped his face repeatedly “ cattttttttnnnaaaaapppp, wake up sleepy headdddd” she dragged as she continued to tap his face. He grumbled as he tried to grab bobby’s hand.” Quit it…..” he quietly mumbled as he tried to go back to sleep. “ oh no you don’t! It’s morning and i made breakfast! Wake up sleepy head!" Bobby shouted in front of catnap, as she tried to force him out of bed, Which resulted with him face planted to the floor. "Bobby!" A voice from the door loudly shouted, when bobby faced them she was forced to the ground as dogday hugged her. "When i came home, you weren't here!? Which was not so you... since you're always here when we come home..... WHERE WERE YOU YESTERDAY!??!" He nuzzled bobby's neck as he whined. As bobby calmed down from the sudden hug, she wrapped her roommate in a hug.
that was until she could feel a glare from somewhere. When she looked back to catnap, she could see him still face planted to the floor, but now glaring at the two hugging each other. It was silent, except for dogday's morning affection, oblivious to the glaring cat.
Then bobby suddenly thought of something. As she nuzzled dogday too, catnap suddenly stood up going to ponce, until bobby turned dogday and softy pushed him towards catnap, who suddenly melted in dogday's hands. "Ah! Good morning catnap!" Dogday greeted loudly as his tail wagged, hugging catnap to his chest. Bobby smiled while chuckling at the jelly kitten. "Well then! Since the cat is now fully awake, we can finally start breakfast!" Bobby clapped her hands together, as the door to their room opened again." Well it seems you woke the cat up, morning dogday." Bubba said as he opened the door for the others. "Morning!" Picky suddenly said as she peaked her head out the door. When she suddenly saw the pile of pancakes she dashed to the table, already waiting for the others to sit down. "Come onnnnn im starving!!" She loudly said as the others groggily walk toward the table with them saying "morning or good morning" when everyone is now settled, while dogday dropped the still sleepy catnap on the chair. Picky suddenly begun to eat, not waiting for the others. Dogday trying to wake the cat again, since he begun to sleep in the table. And the others begun to talk about their day yesterday.
As the conversation continued, hoopy suddenly asked bobby."so, you got any plans today bobs?" At that question, the other critters looked at bobby, waiting for an answer. "Well, actually i plan to go to the flower field again... if it's fine?"
She said as the critters begun to get curious about her answer.
"Flower field..... you-you mean the nearby flower field out of the borders?!"
Crafty stuttered as she looked at her back to booby."didn't the 'munched' savior sa-'munched' ehem.. sorry, said that out of the borders without supervising is a big no no?" Picky asked gulping the food she was munching. Dogday was going to say something before he was interrupted by the purple cat he was nagging,"my god said he could allow bobby to go to the flower field as she likes, she has met an interesting person out there they said." Catnap suddenly spoke, face still on his arms. It was silent for a second, before chaos accrued.
"YOU SPOKE TO A HUMAN OUTSIDE THE BORDERS!?!!??"
Everyone, except catnap and hoppy shouted.
Bobby was suddenly bombarded with questions like…
“Who are they?!”
“How did you meet!?!”
“Are they nice!?!”
“D-do they like to painting???”
And more.
As bubba snapped out of his shocked trace he begun to stop the other critters from crowding bobby.” Ok, that’s enough questions for now! let bobby breathe!” Bubba said as the others suddenly came to their senses, and looked down to their feet in disappointment.
“Its-s fine, but it will take a long time to explain, is that ok?” Bobby asked, the others looked at each others or a while until they smiled at bobby, and in sync they said “ we have all the time to hear the full story!” As they smiled their iconic smile.
…..
In (y/n) house, where their grandmother suddenly shouted outside their door. “(Y/N)!!!ITS MORNING GET YOUR ASS OUT OF BED!!" (Y/N) Grumbled as they tried to bury their face in their pillow. "5 more min.u...e.." they tried to say but has fallen asleep again. It was suddenly cut short because of their door suddenly opening. "YOUNG MAN ITS MORNING AND IM TOO OLD TO DO ALL THE HEAVY WORK!! NOW GET OUT OF BED!! " grandma shouted, which resulted with (Y/N) getting up with drool on their pillow and face.
"... and get your face washed, you look like a mess. I'll be waiting outside then... do NOT take too long!!" She said as she begun to go down stairs. (Y/N) yawn as they walk towards the their washroom, splashing their face with water, and brushing their teeth.
When they were done, they begun to speed walk down stairs, and when they went outside, they see their grandmother chopping some fire woods."took you long enough! Now get here and help me with these" she said as she gestured to the previous fire woods she had cutted. As (Y/N) begun to help their grandma bring the fire woods in their shed, their grandma suddenly asked."so who was that new friend of yours, you said yesterday?" (Y/N). Stayed quiet before they begun. "Someone i suddenly met in the flower field... it was like... friend at first sight kinda thing?" (Y/N) chucked as they looked aways when their grandma looked at them with a smirk."friends at first sight ehh," HA! oh (Y/N), you always used weird words...but.. i expected that... after all you are the grandchild of the man i adored~" grandma said smiling brightly when she saw her grandchild blushing at the compliment.'you both are truly alike' she thought as she looked at her grandchild.
As the two continued their work for an hour or so, (Y/N) looked at the day, and suddenly remembered. "Grandma, umm im going to go meet my friend at the same field again.... and um.. i might be late when i-" they were interrupted when their grandma slapped hard on their back, which made them stand straight. "HA, go and have fun!! Ahhh my grandkid is now making true friends~ what good news" at their grandma's answer, they were about to argue, but remembered how their old friends was.
At the sudden gloominess surrounding them, their grandma took their chin and made them look at her, with a warm smile she begun."I'm happy you found a truthful friend in a short time dear, and if they do become like the old ones... im always here to beat them up!" With a clutch fist and a sweet smile on her face, it both made (Y/N) laugh and scared at the same time. "Thanks grandma" they mumbled as they hugged their grandmother tightly."now go out there little shrimp!! And stop hugging me tightly!! You're straining my back already." She jokingly said as she looked at her growing grandchild.
When (Y/N) finishing packing their stuff, they waved goodbye to their grandmother as they walked towards the far away field.
Their grandmother waved until she couldn't see them anymore.
"Your grandkid is finally opening up again Alfred.... how i hope you were here to see them once more" she quietly said, beside a photo frame, as she looked at the clear sky while siting on their backyard.
"Take care (Y/N)..."
(whenever i read this it feels short, eh just me problems maybe )

~John Bender x Reader (in the form of "headcanons")~
Relationship type: Mostly Platonic (breifly romantic), Strangers to Friends to Lovers
Content Warnings: Fem Y/N, Swearing, John being a lil bit of a douche.
(I took some inspiration from the outtakes of the movie... and if you've never watched them? You should. They're HILARIOUS.)
Y'all definitely met in detention. You were brought in for some stupid reason, like accidentally back-sassing a substitute teacher or something like that.
He first got your attention in detention (hehe I rhymed) by blabbering nonsense in a ridiculous tone, to the point of screaming "AHH" over and over. You end up slowly turning to tell him to shut up. His response?
"Take a photo, it'll last longer, sweets."
If you think he made fun of you.... You're 100% right. He RELENTLESSLY made fun of you. Like... that shit brought you to tears at one point.
He felt like an asshole afterwards though. After you're done crying and you ignore him for an hour or so, he did apologize... in the most John Bender like fashion: punching your shoulder lightly and mumbling a "sorry".
Near the end of detention, you two look at each other and pretty much tell one another that y'all would never be friends out of that library. It was pretty much a mutual agreement that you two would NEVER interact again, even if you had mutual friends.
Months later, you're invited to a party by Claire. She's been a friend of yours for a few years now, and she, and I quote, told you: "You need to get your ass out of the house and actually talk to people."
You didn't WANT to... but you did.
She gave you the location and the time, pretty much making it so you hs no choice but TO go to this stupid party. But eh, you'd probably chill for a few, then bounce.
You didn't get 20 steps in when- what do you know? Guess who was leaning against the wall, cigarette resting in his mouth as he fished around in his pocket for a lighter?
John-Fucking-Bender.
You try your best to stay out of his gaze. Staying at least 20 feet away from where he was. Pretty much hoping and praying to whatever God was out there that Bender didn't see you.
Yeah he saw you.
He surprisingly talked to you, mostly small talk. But then y'all talk more and more and more and suddenly you both are so deep in conversation that you hardly notice the lack of people around you two.
So maybe you two were able to be friends :)
When the next school day hit, a lot of people were shocked to see you two in the hallways together, laughing about a joke that he'd made.
A lot of people thought y'all were dating.
When I say "thought", I mean "they pretty much assumed and spread it around the whole school."
You had to fight dating allegations for MONTHS on end. It was always "No, we're not dating." "No, I don't have feelings for Bender."
Chat, you're a LIAR.
You were starting to have feelings, but you weren't gonna talk about it of course. Talking about FEELINGS? Fuckin weird, man.
The same was on his end. He wasn't gonna say NUTHIN. He literally was head over heels for you, but the day he admits that is the day he regurgitates a shoe and bakes it in the oven.
He confessed first... in an argument.
He started to distance himself a little bit from you. I mean, come on, John Bender? In a RELATIONSHIP? Get fuckin' real.
This goes on for about a month until you finally confront him about it. Like the premise of the whole argument was a span of:
"Why are you avoiding me?"
"Cuz."
"Cuz why? Do you hate me or something?"
"Cuz."
Then y'all squabble more and more until he finally cracks and says he's avoiding you cuz he wants this stupid feeling to go away.
You have a heart-to-heart chat with one another and end up getting into a relationship.
You two agree to start slow, not really telling anyone and just staying friends to the public eye. Nothing too fast.
Yeah, that lasted like 2 hours.
It wasn't nessicarily John's fault. The dude trying to flirt with you just happened to have his face in the way of where John's fist wanted to be.
Take a wild guess who ended up in detention that Saturday?
Yep, he did.
A/N: I haven't actually written fanfiction in YEARS. The sad lack of John fanfiction made me finally come back XDDDDD It's dogwater and I wrote it in an Applebee's. Have this ig

Pairing: Cardinal Copia x f!Reader (Curator!Reader)
Rating: Teen
Tags: meet the best friend, reader being goofy as fuck, copia being incredibly anxious, real friendship talk, dinner parties, terzo being clueless
Words: 4,829
Summary: Your oldest, dearest friend and the love of your life. What could possibly go wrong?
a/n: reader backstory tiiiiime, copia's really in for it lol
~~~
“Hey hon?” you ask, poking at your boxed salad with your fork.
“Mmhmm?” Copia responds, currently distracted by trying to recover his pen which has fallen and rolled under the desk. You hear a telltale thump and him cursing softly, and when he emerges, his biretta sits charmingly crooked on his mussed hair. Briefly you forget what you were even going to ask him as he looks at you with a soft smile before getting off his knees and plopping back down in his seat.
“Oh!” you say, it coming back to you, “I wanted to ask you…can I have like…a guest here? Like a visitor?”
Copia blinks at you.
“Visitor?” he asks, baffled, “Amore, you are not a prisoner! Of course you can have someone come see you? Eh, who did you have in mind?”
Part of you wants to casually say “my parents” just to watch the color drain from his face as he stammers but you spare your love the agony.
“My best friend,” you say, halfway through a bite of lettuce, “Lydia? I’m sure I’ve mentioned her before. She’s um, going to be in the area for a work conference and wanted to spend a few days with me. I just didn’t know what the protocol was for that. I mean, Sister Imperator isn’t going to shit her pants is she?”
“Ah,” he waves his hand dismissively, “siblings’ families visit them all the time, why should you be any different? And we have nothing to hide. We would welcome her with open arms.”
Your shoulders sag in relief.
“Okay good, because she’s coming next week and I’m going to be honest with you, asking for permission was kind of a formality. I was going to do it either way.”
Copia laughs.
“Taking the ‘better to ask for forgiveness’ route, huh? I admire that. I suppose we won’t sacrifice her in some arcane ritual now.”
It’s your turn to laugh.
“Uh, I don’t know that you could handle that. She’s a fighter, through and through. She’d definitely kick your ass.”
He frowns and presses a gloved hand to his chest.
“Cara, you wound me. Are you implying that I could not defend your honor?”
“Cope, I saw Secondo grab your hands and slap you while saying ‘stop hitting yourself’ for ten minutes after you pissed him off at the last Uno night. Respectfully, you are a lover, not a fighter.”
“Oh, but what a lover I am, eh? Everyone else on your floor probably heard what I did to you last night hehe–”
“Copia,” you say, blushing as you stab a garbanzo bean, “you’re starting to sound like Terzo.”
He actually gasps at that.
“Fuck the thing about fighting, now you’ve really offended me, dolcezza,” he says gruffly, returning to his own lunch, “but please tell your friend she is welcome here. Any friend of my amore’s is a friend of mine.”
You smile tightly.
“I sure hope so,” you say under your breath.
___
Copia’s nervous.
He hasn’t been this nervous in a long time - probably since before the two of you started dating - and he can feel the sweat accumulate on his palms underneath the leather of his gloves. He looks over to you, excitedly bouncing on the balls of your feet. When you look at him, you give him a wide smile.
“Are you nervous?” you ask, reaching a hand out to cup his elbow. A rivulet of sweat rolls down his back under his cassock. He smiles. Nervously.
“No, no, of course not. You don’t look excited at all, though.”
You giggle.
“I haven’t seen her since I went back home for Christmas! And so much has changed since then. That was right before we got together. I’ve told her all about you, by the way.”
He chuckles weakly but in your giddiness you don’t notice his discomfort. A car pulls into the long driveway and his heart plunges into his stomach. You’re practically vibrating at this point watching the car come closer and closer until it’s pulling in front of the steps the two of you are standing on. You don’t wait for her to get out of the car, instead flying down the stairs to meet her at the door. When she opens it you let out a high-pitched shriek.
“Hold on, let me get out of the damn car,” he hears a deep, amused, female voice speak. The woman that emerges is…not what he pictured. She’s tall - taller than him (though Secondo would say that’s no feat), broad shouldered, and muscular. Her dark curly hair streaked with bright red is piled on top of her head in a bun and before he can make any other observations, you throw yourself into her arms.
“Hey, babygirl,” she laughs, pulling you in for a tight hug and kissing you on top of your head, “I missed you.”
“Missed you more!” he hears you wail as the two of you rock back and forth in your embrace. He fiddles with his cuffs, unsure of whether he should introduce himself now or–
“You must be him,” she says, her tone shifting entirely. Copia blanches.
“Yes! This is–c’mere,” you say, gesturing to him to come down to where the two of you stand, “this is Cardinal Copia. Copia, this is Lydia Morales, my angel and dearest friend.”
He bows slightly.
“It’s eh, a pleasure to meet you, signorina,” he says, reaching out his hand. Lydia looks down at it and takes it in her own. Giving him a tight smirk, she squeezes in a hard enough handshake that he lets out an undignified squeak similar to one of his rats.
“Pleasure’s all mine…Cardinal.” The slight sneer in her voice when she addresses him immediately lets him know that this is going to be a long three days. When she mercifully releases his hand he flexes his fingers in an attempt to get feeling back in them. Lydia’s shrewd, dark eyes stare him down, sweeping over his appearance.
“Um,” you say, clearly thrown by the tension between your lover and your friend, “L-let me help you with your bag, Lyd. There’s a guest room for you all ready.”
“No need,” Lydia says, walking over to the trunk and smacking it firmly. The ghoul, still in the driver seat, pops it and she hauls an overstuffed carry-on out as if it’s made of air.
“Oh, making me swoon,” you say with a smile, nudging her arm.
“I live to please, doll,” Lydia smirks as the three of you head up the steps, “this is quite a place.”
“Isn’t it?” you open the heavy front door and usher everyone inside, “Lydia you will not believe the architecture and the art here, it’s Heaven!”
“Wouldn’t ‘Hell’ be more appropriate,” she says dryly, her eyes briefly flicking over to him. She brings her hand to her neck and fishes out a small, gold cross on a delicate chain from under her t-shirt. For the second time that day, Copia’s heart plummets.
“Haha, very amusing,” you turn to him, “My love, you don’t have to stick around if you don’t want to. You’re more than welcome to of course but I’m just going to get her settled.”
You must have finally picked up on his discomfort and he would kiss you right now if he didn’t think that Lydia would clock him in the face.
“Eh, I do have some things to attend to,” he stops, bowing slightly again to Lydia, “Forgive me, signorina. You will join us tonight for dinner, I hope?”
“Oh fuck,” you murmur, “I completely forgot - Copia’s brothers are hosting a little al fresco get together. You interested?”
Lydia nods slowly, smiling.
“‘Course I’m interested. I’d like to meet this chef you told me about - is he one of your, uh, brothers, Cardinal?”
“Sì, that is my brother Secondo. Are there any restrictions to your diet I should tell him about?”
“Not at all, I’ll eat anything that moves unlike this one over here,” she gestures with her thumb in your direction and you roll your eyes.
“I’m sure Secondo will be pleased to have a less picky eater join his gathering,” you comment then turn to him, “Alright then see you later?”
He nods, and when you approach to kiss to his cheek he does not miss the way Lydia’s eyes narrow.
“Eh, see you later. Ciao.”
He doesn’t breathe again until the two of you are down the hallway and round the corner out of sight.
___
“What do you think of your digs? Pretty nice, right?”
You plop down on the gilded loveseat in the little living room adjacent to the small bedroom where Lydia is currently unpacking.
“Real nice. This whole place is nice. Makes you wonder where they got the money.”
Your lips twitch downwards.
“It’s an old institution - as old as the Catholic church. You don’t ask them where they got their money.”
“Fair enough,” Lydia concedes, standing in the doorway folding a shirt. Her lips are held in a tight line and you know she’s holding back from saying what she really thinks.
“Tell me,” you say, leaning forward to rest your forearms on your thighs, “and don’t think I didn’t notice how fucking weird you were with Copia earlier, either.”
Lydia sighs and looks at you.
“Can I be honest?”
“Why are you even asking when you know you’re going to be anyway? Like I said, tell me.”
“He’s too old,” she says bluntly, and you recoil, “and he’s your coworker which is a whole other rat’s nest. This place is way freaky - I mean, a Satanic church? Girlie, I know you’re not picky about religions but–”
“And neither are you, so why is it a problem all of a sudden now that I’m involved with a member of one in opposition from your religion?”
Lydia sighs and rubs her eye.
“Because you’re my best friend? My best friend who calls me up one day and says ‘I’m in love with a Satanic cardinal who is old enough to be my father’ while being sequestered away from her family and friends for almost a year? Babe, tell me you wouldn’t be concerned if I had done the same. I love you and I love that you’re happy but I’m worried. Your parents are too, honestly.”
“You…you’ve spoken to my parents about this?”
“Of course I have. We didn’t see you for months before last Christmas and yeah, we’ve talked but I don’t know. Please tell me you understand why we’re concerned.”
“I’m in my fucking thirties, I’m not a child, Lydia–”
“Look me in the eyes and say you wouldn’t be worried if it was me.”
A beat passes. You chew on your bottom lip.
“Exactly,” Lydia says, sighing and walking over to sit down next to you, “Listen, I didn’t come here to be a buzzkill for three days, I came here to spend time with you. And you know I gotta scope this Cardinal Copia guy out for myself, huh? Make sure he’s worthy of an angel like you. Typical best friend shit, you know?” she nudges you with her body before wrapping an arm around your shoulders. You want to be mad but all in all…she’s right and you know it. Exhaling through your nose you lean into her while she toys with your hair.
“Please keep an open mind?” you ask quietly, “I know they’re spooky, scary Satanists and everything but…they’ve taken care of me all this time. Without Copia, I’m…” you sniffle, tears welling in your eyes, “I’m not even sure I’d be alive right now. You two are everything to me. Both of you.”
“Alright,” Lydia says softly, kissing you on top of your head, “whatever my girl wants. I promise I won’t grill him too hard.”
“Thank you,” you say, “you’re more than welcome to…I don’t know, suss out his intentions or whatever but remember that I love him. So don’t do that weird thing where you offer to crack people’s backs by picking them up around him or anything, okay? He’s already petrified of you.”
Lydia laughs and shoves you away.
“Hey fuck you, that’s my go-to party trick. Ladies love it.”
You roll your eyes.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever. Are you done unpacking? I want to show this place off to you before we head to this dinner thing.”
“Let me freshen up and change clothes and I’m all yours.”
“Now that’s what I like to hear.”
___
“So, Terzo is the oldest one.”
“No, Primo is the oldest one. Secondo is uh…second, then Terzo, then Copia.”
“Shit, sorry. And they’re all Satanic popes?”
“Terzo is the current one, Primo and Secondo are…retired. And Copia’s a cardinal, you know that.”
“Right, right. Sounds like a lot of fucking dudes, just like the Catholic side. Where are the women at?”
“They’re around, trust me. Not sure if Sister Imperator is going to be in attendance tonight but she’s pretty high up there, I think. There’s a few female cardinals too but I haven’t really gotten the chance to know them outside of passing them in the hall. And then there’s the sisters too, I– Lydia, don’t.”
“What?” Lydia asks with a sly grin, waggling her eyebrows, “Sisters huh? You know I always had a thing for–”
“And you talk about me having a weird priest fetish?” you whisper, holding back a laugh, “Down, girl.”
As if on cue, two sisters - one wearing a tight miniskirt as a habit and the other in a long dress with a very high slit up the side - come out of one of the seminar classrooms. They smile politely at you but when they catch sight of Lydia, their jaws drop.
“Afternoon, ladies,” Lydia purrs with a smile. You make a gagging motion behind the sisters’ backs as they giggle and walk away, occasionally glancing over their shoulders. Lydia licks her lips.
“Not you going full ‘hey mamas’ lesbian,” you wheeze, “I’m having war flashbacks from college.”
“What? We had fun!"
“No,” you laugh, “you had fun. You got laid. I sat at the bar and got mistaken for someone’s mom. More than once.”
“Didn’t help that you used to dress like a senator when we went to the club,” Lydia says with a smile, causing you to whip around and point at her accusingly.
“First of all, business casual was the club look back then and you know that, and second of all, fuck you very much.”
Grinning, Lydia wraps an arm around your shoulders and deposits a wet kiss at your temple.
“You haven’t changed a bit,” she says as you march down the hall side by side, “Should I tell Copia about that time we made out senior year or…”
Your face goes ghostly white.
“Lydia Rosa Morales that was one time and I had a lot of vodka and-and you said—“
“Oh I know what I said,” Lydia agrees, “but what if I changed my mind, hmm? What if I want you all to myself?”
“Lydia do not even go there I—“
“Christ, please unclench I’m just fucking with you. Been a while since you got a taste of your own medicine, huh?”
“God, now I’m really gonna let them sacrifice you tonight. See you in hell, you stupid fruit or whatever that meme was.”
“Wow, lesbophobia from my own best friend…”
“You remember I’m gay too, right?”
“Yeah but–oh. Hello.”
You’re jarred by how polite Lydia sounds all of a sudden until you turn around and are met with Sister Imperator standing there smiling and looking deeply unsettling.
“Sister!” you say, trying to recover yourself, “This is my dearest and oldest friend, Lydia. Lydia, this is Sister Imperator my uh…boss. Lydia is visiting with us–with me– for the next few days.”
“How lovely,” she says as she reaches out to take Lydia’s hand, her gaze directed towards the cross Lydia always wears, “Catholic?”
“Uh, yeah. I mean, I went through the whole thing y’know - baptism, confirmation - I just don’t really attend now unless my parents drag me. Mostly just like the art and the vibes.”
A silence falls between the three of you and you can tell by the way Lydia fidgets with her watch she is extremely uncomfortable. As are you. Where you’re slightly more accustomed to Imperator’s off-putting presence, Lydia is left uncharacteristically meek and quiet. It’s not a look you enjoy seeing on her.
“Well, just giving Lydia a tour so I guess we’ll be on our way,” you say with a nervous smile, taking your friend’s hand and gently tugging her away.
“Give my regards to the Cardinal, dear,” Imperator says, folding her hands in front of her and giving you a pointed look. The two of you haven’t had any real conversations beyond terse staff meeting discussions since the incident in her office and you swallow thickly before nodding. You don’t breathe again until she turns and clacks away on her stilettos.
“Bro, what the fuck,” Lydia breathes, squeezing your hand, “that’s your boss?”
“Uh-huh,” you say as the two of you slowly begin to walk down the hall again, “she’s…a lot. Listen, you can’t let anyone know that you know this or that I told you but…that’s Copia’s mom.”
“What?”
“Yeah it’s…a whole situation. I’ll explain it someday when you and Copia actually like each other.”
“You’ve officially given me a reason to get along with him tonight. I want the tea.”
You withdraw your hand and smack her arm with it.
“Because being the person I love wasn’t enough of a reason? Dickhead.”
___
Copia’s nervous. Again.
He had to slip up to his rooms to change cassocks after he left the office from how disgustingly damp it was and now he stands in the gardens watching ghouls set up a dining table.
“Are you going to help, or just stand there fretting?”
Terzo, doling out plates onto the rustic table, is looking over at him with an uncharacteristically furrowed brow.
“Ah, yes, mi dispiace. I was preoccupied.”
“Uh-huh,” he says, watching Copia reach the table and begin folding napkins while dodging eye contact. “You’re worried her friend doesn’t like you.”
Copia scoffs.
“Oh, I know her friend doesn’t like me. That’s not the issue. The issue is how do I change that.”
Terzo pulls back and thoughtfully rests his weight on his hip.
“I could charm her for you - you know how irresistible the ladies find me.”
Copia coughs, loud and sharp.
“Eh, I don’t think that’s going to work.”
Terzo looks offended and crosses his arms.
“And whyever not? You doubt my ability to sweep people off their feet?”
“That’s not what I’m saying, what I’m saying is–”
“You two!” The two younger siblings jolt to attention as Primo approaches bearing a vase filled with a variety of flowers, “Go help Secondo in the kitchen, he glamored the ghouls but now they can’t remember how to serve hors d'oeuvres and keep gobbling down all the prosciutto.”
Copia heaves a sigh.
“If Secondo can’t fix the problem, I don’t know how much help we’ll be but if you insist. Come on, fratello.”
___
“Hey, you look great!”
You gesture to Lydia in her linen pantsuit and she grins charmingly, pointing at you in return.
“Not looking so bad yourself, babygirl.” She reaches down to graze the fabric of your yellow floral sundress before taking a finger and tapping the delicate gold grucifix that rests on your neck.
“Huh. He give this to you?”
“Yeah. The night we first kissed. He wanted to welcome me into the family.”
Lydia says nothing, but the face she makes shows her equal parts impressed and wary. You loop your arm through hers.
“C’mon, gardens are this way. They’re beautiful, I think Copia said they were setting the table up near the orchards.”
The walk through the abbey and past the greenhouses is quiet, both of you more than happy to enjoy the comfortable silence afforded to you by years of friendship. When you approach the grassy area next to a row of citrus trees, you gasp.
“This is gorgeous!” you gush, and the tall, lanky figure of Primo turns to face you with a smile.
“Buonasera, fiore mio. And you must be Signorina Morales?”
“I am yes, it’s a pleasure to meet you uh…Papa.”
“Primo,” he insists, “there will be many papas here tonight and we will all begin to seem like the same person after a while. If you’ll excuse me, I’ll fetch my brothers. Please, please enjoy.”
He gestures to what you assume are ghouls - though they do not wear their standard silver masks - standing silently and bearing large silver platters of–
“Oh fuck, cheese,” Lydia groans, snagging a small plate off the table and loading it up. “You just gonna stand there, or…?”
“Yeah, I’m just looking for–” you turn around and nearly jump out of your skin at the ghoul who appears behind you, bearing two glasses of prosecco. You thank him profusely and hand one to your friend, who makes an impressed face.
“Salute, you little Satan fucker,” she grins.
“I’m not–ugh. Salute, dumbass,” you say, clinking your glass together.
“Bella mia!”
The all too familiar cry of Terzo rings out as he and his brothers head over to your nook. You exhale heavy through your nose and shake your head as he runs up to plant a kiss on both cheeks.
“Hello, Terzo,” you say, “This–”
You turn to introduce Lydia but Terzo has already swooped in and captured her hand in both of his gloved ones. He looks up at her with wide eyes, a grin playing on his lips.
“Oh, here we go,” you mutter under your breath.
“This Amazonian beauty must be your darling amica, Lydia. Signorina it is my honor and pleasure to make your acquaintance. I…am Terzo Emeritus.”
When he bends to place a kiss to the back of her hand you force yourself to take a sip of prosecco to keep from laughing at her expression. She looks over at you and smiles wide with a wink.
“Signore Terzo, the pleasure is all mine,” she murmurs, fluttering her eyelashes. Oh Lord. You walk away and spot Copia speaking quietly with Secondo.
“Hello, fratello,” you say, standing on tippy toes to press a kiss to Secondo’s cheek, “Hello, my love. Everything uh…everything alright?”
“So far, so good,” Secondo says, eyeing one of the ghouls, “they haven’t done anything weird, have they?”
“Weird? Like ‘developing a twitch’, weird or ‘sacrificing a goat in front of us’, weird?”
“Either, but the latter would be most alarming considering that’s not something we actually do, piccolina,” Secondo scolds, and you smile.
“Oh, you know, sacrificing goats, sacrificing virgins, same thing right?”
“We don’t do that either, and you would know better than most wouldn’t you?” Secondo’s smirks at your gobsmacked expression as he walks away to see Primo and Copia sighs.
“Tell me when it’s over, amore,” he says quietly and you take his hand to press a kiss to the back of it.
“Hey, remember this is just as stressful for me too, right? Sure she’s meeting them but really…they’re meeting her. I would genuinely not be surprised if she’s got Secondo in a headlock by the end of the night and Terzo professing his undying adoration for her.”
Copia cocks his head, frowning.
“Does he know that she’s—”
“Nah. He can find out the hard way. It’ll be good for him.”
For the first time all day, a genuine smile spreads across his face.
“I adore you,” he says, leaning over to kiss you on the cheek and then dutifully wipe his lipstick off.
“Really? Hmm, had no idea. Come on my love, we have to be social at some point.”
“As you wish.”
—-
“You’ve been dodging me all night, huh?”
Copia’s eyes go wide as he finishes pouring his glass of wine and turns around. Lydia is standing behind him, half smile on her face and a hand in her pocket.
“Eh…no. No, I have simply been–”
“Dipping and dodging like you’re being paid to do it,” she smiles, “Listen, I get it. I’m intimidating, I know. But we all want the same thing here, right?”
“We…we do?”
“Sure - we want her–” Lydia says, gesturing over to you smiling and laughing at something Terzo said, “--happiness. You know we met in middle school?”
“Sì, sì, she said something to that effect.”
There’s a pause, and Lydia takes a sip of wine.
“She ever tell you how we met?”
Copia pauses, thoughtfully.
“I…don’t believe so, no.”
Lydia moves to stand by his side so they both have a clear view of you.
“She switched schools when she was twelve - I’m sure she’s told you about that bullshit she went through.”
Copia nods solemnly.
“Indeed.”
“Well she came to my school. Mid-school year…brutal time. Everyone’s already made their friendships - everyone except me. No one wanted to hang out with the beefy girl who towered a head over everyone else. I had kinda resigned myself to my social outcast fate when one day - there was a new face in class, sitting next to me. I was too shy to say hello but she wasn’t - immediately she smiled big at me and introduced herself. She didn’t fit in either, just a little too awkward and excitable about certain things, and we got along like a house on fire. She was the first real friend I ever had. We’ve been through everything together - made a point of going to the same college so we wouldn’t be separated. It’s been tough, not having her around you know?”
Copia nods slowly. He knew the two of you were close but his heart aches at the way her voice catches on the last word.
“I…am sorry.”
Lydia turns to him.
“What for?”
“All of it. For absconding with her attention and physical presence, for the shit you both went through. I…I love her desperately. I know I’m…I’m old and strange but I would do anything for her. Anything, Lydia. And I suspect you would do the same.”
She clears her throat and takes a sip of her wine.
“The way she talks about you…even over text it’s clear you have her heart. Like, you should see some of the shit she sends me. Real ooey, gooey, cringe shit. Up until you came into her life she always told me she had accepted the fact that she was just not meant to be loved. Which you and I both know is fucking bullshit but she really believed that. She really believed someone as kind and smart and pretty as her deserved to be alone. When she first started here she had such a hard time, you know? The depression and the anxiety and I felt helpless because I was so far away. But then she started talking about The Cardinal and how the two of you were spending time together and how giddy you made her feel. How you made this a home for her. And for that I’m grateful, so thank you Copia. And I apologize for my uh…gruff treatment earlier.”
Copia has the inside of his cheek wedged between his teeth in an attempt to keep from tearing up but when he looks over at Lydia and sees her doing the same, he lets out a little sob. She leans forward and presses a kiss to his cheek.
“Oh my fucking God, Lydia you did not make my boyfriend cry. What did you say to him?”
You’re by his side in a flash, thumbs dutifully wiping the smudged black paint from his cheeks.
“Relax, babygirl. We’re cool, right Copia?”
He nods and smiles.
“Yeah. Cool. She didn’t even threaten me once.”
You sigh and give both of them a look. Primo calls out your name and waves you over to the dining table and when you turn to leave Copia makes to leave too but before he can, a hand is wrapped tightly around his wrist.
“All that being said,” Lydia murmurs, very casual, “if you ever do anything - and I mean anything - to hurt her I’ll fucking snap your neck and make it look like an accident. I don’t care how powerful your Ministry is. I will make you bleed. Know that.”
Lydia’s gaze is intense and Copia nods solemnly.
“Anyway,” she says, suddenly boisterous, wrapping an arm around his shoulders in a crushing hug, “let’s go see the others. I’m not done tormenting your brother, yet. He’s something else.”
“Eh, sì he sure is something. And he hasn’t figured it out yet?”
Lydia grins as they march over to the others.
“I don’t think that man could recognize a woman who is only attracted to other women if I wore nothing but my strap and a lesbian flag.”
Copia groans.
“Please don’t let him hear you say that, he’s probably into that.”
hi yes hello @void-dude's silly stan and square man adventures has me knawing on the walls, and i've written a silly (probably a little ooc) human(ish) tad fic in a fixation induced fuge state lmao. it's not beta'd, and only lightly edited (so far), so it's all a little subject to change, but hey! it's here! and it'll probably get more added to it tbh
i hope it brings y'all a little bit of joy :)
(ao3 link for anyone who wants to read it there: https://archiveofourown.org/works/59529469)
“T… tad… Tad! Grunkle Tad wake up!”
Wha… why’s everything sound like it’s underwater? Who was… wazat Mabel? Hehe, I like Mabel, real wildcard she is. Sounds kinda worried though…? Wait- MABEL?!
Tad shot upright, nearly bashing his head into Ford’s on the way. He looked around frantically for Mabel - who sounded pretty distraught while he was… why was he passed out? Not important- the kid he was looking for had just thrown herself into his arms.
“Mabes, sweetie, are you okay?” Tad asked, one hand coming to rest on her back, and the other reaching to cradle her face in a palm.
The poor girl was sniffling, eyes still watery from tearing up - her tears must’ve stopped before any could fall. “Grunkle Tad, we thought you died!”
Tad almost wants to laugh - death? Him? Don’t be ridiculous! - but the sincerity in her eyes stops him. Suddenly, Ford - who he’d forgotten was next to him the whole time - cleared his throat, gaining the attention of both him and Mabel.
“I’m glad to see you’re alright, Tad,” the man said, the genuine nature of it coming through his gaze more than tone. “And that you’re um… adjusting well.”
Tad quirked his brow at that- wait… wait that’s not right. That- two of them just moved. And wait a minute, his hands- holy carbuncle he has HUMAN HANDS-
Uh oh.
The last thing he heard before everything went fuzzy was Ford shouting his name.
By the second… okay, third time Tad had recovered from his fainting spell, he’d been relatively caught up with the situation:
Ford and Mabel - and himself, of course - went on a little mini adventure to collect some things in the secret bunker. Ford also apparently wanted to make sure that the shapeshifter was still frozen, and make sure that it wouldn’t ever be not frozen again. Mabel insisted she tag along - she’d defeated it before, after all - and with a wildly impressive “puppy dog eyes” maneuver, she got her way.
Tad, well, he came along for moral support - and backup, if things got real dire.
Long story very, very short, Tad found and touched something he shouldn’t have, and now he was stuck as a human for a few days. What was he going to do while he was trapped like this? Well, the only thing he ever found worth doing, messing with Stanley Pines.
As they were leaving the bunker, Tad made sure to clue Mabel in on the scheme - she was more than happy to help. Ford took little convincing - something about needing to be honest about the situation first and foremost - before Mabel’s eyes worked their magic a second time. It also probably helped that messing with one’s sibling was written into a brother's blood m, genius or no.
With the plan set, the three excitedly made their way back to the Shack, ready to prank the pants off of Grunkle Stan (Mabel’s words, not mine).
•••
It was a dry spell at the Shack, and everyone minus Soos was bored because of it. Dipper was frantically writing something in his own journal - a gift from Ford - and muttering to himself. Boring. Wendy was out today, her old man was taking her and her brothers camping again. Again, boring. And Soos? Eh, Soos was around somewhere, Soos-ing the place up as per usual.
Boring.
“We’re back!” Mabel shouted, smiling wide as can be as she flung the door open.
Stan, Dipper, and Ford cringed as the door slammed against the wall. “Ya don’t say…”
“What did you guys get?” Dipper said, hopping down from the barrel he’d been sitting on. “And where’s Great Uncle Tad?”
“Nothing important, Dipper,” Ford said, closing the door behind himself after Mabel skipped in. “Just some notes I thought I’d lost long ago.”
“And Grunkle Tad’s taking a nature walk!” Mabel grinned, “Said the bunker was too cramped, so he needs some outside time!”
Stan chose to ignore the pang of hurt that explanation brought. Instead, he tossed out a half hearted, “Hah! Wuss.”
If any of the other Pines present heard, they ignored him. Mabel was already debriefing about their adventure to a diligently writing Dipper, and Ford was shuffling through his coat pockets to find whatever he’d gone out for in the first place.
Domestic? Yes. Boring… also a little bit, yes.
Stan sighed, leaning an arm on the desk to prop up his chin, and his free hand coming up to drum against the well worn wood.
A few minutes - seconds? Who knows, he’s not countin! - pass before Stan hears the bell above the door chime. Snapping out of his staring spell, he quickly puts on the Mister Mystery act.
“Welcome, dear customer, to the Mystery Shack!” he’s all smiles and customer service before he even looks at who just walked in. “What can I do for you- Holy Moses…
If Stan had any brain function right now, he’d be embarrassed by how he’d whispered out the unplanned part of his spiel. But right now? Every neuron in his brain was either shut down or rapidly firing, because a beautiful man had just walked in. That’s beautiful with a capital B, folks!
The guy was tall - maybe a good three inches taller than him - broad shouldered, and judging by his face, was probably in his late fifties. His skin reminded Stan of the sand back in Jersey, with a squarish face and nose that he could tell fit the man without hearing him speak. And that hair- talk about a silver fox! The guy was rocking a relatively laid back pompadour, a couple of strands that refused to stay back dangling over his face. If Stan squinted, he could swear there were thin streaks of blue broken up into the gray, but maybe it was just the light? And call him crazy, but the dude hasn’t opened his left eye at all since he walked in.
Ah shit- how long has he been staring?
“Mystery Shack, eh? Seems like a scam, if ya ask me,” the man chuckled to himself - it sounded eerily familiar. “You run this joint?”
Stan - sensing a challenge - squared his shoulders back, hands now perched on his cane. “Maybe, who’s askin’?”
The guy smirked - and Stan was briefly distracted by how good it looked. “Just a curious tourist,” he drawled, leaning forward and placing his relatively large hands on the table. “Vagabond passing through, y’know?”
Stan swallowed, and prayed the guy didn’t see or hear it.
“Cat got your tongue, boss man?” the man tilted his head in question, but the amusement in his eye didn’t wane.
Stan was quick to wave his hand dismissively - knowing damn well he’d been caught. “As if! You just uh… remind me of someone, that’s all.”
Guy’s voice is almost too close. But it’s not him, it can’t be. There’s literally no way it could be!
The guy lifted one hand up, taking one finger to tilt Stan’s chin up to coax their eyes to meet. He smiled slowly, “Do I sound like your husband?”
What? What?
The guy- no, fucking Tad’s hand dropped back to the counter, a well suppressed fit of laughter now freely flowing.
“Yes! Oh man, I got you, got you!” he turned on his heels to grin at Mabel, who was bouncing on her heels. “Nice plan, Mabes!”
She preened at the praise before settling her hands on her hips, and nodding to herself. “My work here is done.”
Stan - absolutely fucking dumbfounded - just looked between Tad, and every other person in the room, but mainly Ford.
“What the fuck did you do to him?” Stan asked, not quite angry, but definitely not calm.
Ford immediately held his hands up, “I didn’t do anything! He did this to himself!”
Stan’s gaze flicked back to Tad, who smiled sheepishly in response. He sighed, long and weary, before straightening up, and taking a steadying breath.
“I’m gonna need everyone-” Stan jabbed a finger towards Tad, “not you- to get out of this room in about five seconds. One…”
Ford quickly ushered the children away, Mabel throwing double thumbs up, and Dipper sputtering syllables that desperately wanted to be questions. Once Stan heard the door to the actual house shut, he sighed again.
“Turn the sign on the door, wouldja?” he asked. “Blinds too, if ya don’t mind.”
Tad - suddenly losing any and all upper hand he might’ve had in this situation - did just that. What was he supposed to do? He… he didn’t know. But holy dungarees was this human heart thing hammering-
“Oi, square eye,” Stan said, much softer than he had any right to. “C’mere, I wanna get a good look at ya.”
Tad silently obliged, making his way over and around the desk Stan stood behind. He stood there, waiting for his next order - Stan simply leant his cane against the wall, and set his fez down on the desk.
His eyes ran over Tad appraisingly, and sweet grilled cheese, did all human bodies feel like this when someone looked at them? His hands were trembling at his sides, and he almost cringed at how his breath hitched when Stan met his eyes.
“You come up with this yourself?”
“Huh?”
“The body,” Stan said, “Threads too.”
“Oh! I uh- yeah, yeah I did,” Tad chuckled nervously. “Not too shabby for a first timer, eh?”
Tad saw something flash in Stan’s eye at the phrasing, but the human laughed all the same. “It looks nice. You look nice.”
He was dying. Stanley Pines was going to kill him with compliments and Tad couldn’t be happier about it.
“I was hoping you’d like it,” Tad admitted. “Made sure I looked more your dating range.”
Stan snorted at that. “I’d call that a low blow if you weren’t right.”
The two fell silent again, Stan looking over Tad while the other squirmed from the attention.
Stan wasn’t lying when he said Tad looked nice - his internal dialogue earlier made that very clear - but gosh, knowing it was Tad made it so much better. It’s like he’d modeled himself off the guys Stan privately appreciated in passing when he was young. There were clearly parts inspired by Dean or Presley, but it was all buried under the fact that this body was so uniquely Tad.
“I like to think I got the clothes pretty spot on,” Tad said, more to break the silence than anything else. “Tried to get as close to “random sleazy schmuck” as I could.”
A slightly unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt, and some khakis? Yep, that’s about right… wait-
“Are you makin’ fun of me?” Stan asked, holding back a laugh at the scandalized sound Tad made.
“What? No- I would never!” Tad huffed, his tone sarcastic as all get. “I’d never copy an outfit you’ve worn before, call it slutty to your face, then deny I ever said it.”
“Ya just did, bud.”
Tad’s face took on a confused look, “Did what?”
The two stared at each other for about three seconds before cackling in chorus. Tad was - as he tended to be - less raucous than the human, letting him appreciate the genuine laughter he could bring out of Stan.
Sweet sarsaparilla, I’m so fucking gone for this man…
As their laughter peters out, Stan mimics the chin move Tad did minutes ago, only now he’s gently coaxing him to lean down. Tad oblibliges, pointedly ignoring that damn human heart trying to escape his rib cage - it’s not his fault they were nearly nose to nose!
Stan’s eyes dart to Tad’s mouth for a split second before flicking back to the other’s eye.
Suddenly, and without warning, Stanley Pines kisses Tad Strange’s cheek.
Tad feels his entire body lock up, and it’s suddenly too hot, but he also feels like if he looked at an ice cube it would melt instantly, but that has nothing to do with the fact he can’t move-
“Thought so,” Stan chuckles. “You blush blue like this.”
Tad just blinks, his jaw - metaphorically, of course - on the floor. He’s left bluescreening as Stan leaves the desk to rejoin the rest of his family. Tad follows the movement, still speechless.
The man stops in the doorway, turning his head to look over his shoulder.
“Gonna get Greasy’s for dinner,” he said casually, “Wanna come with?”
“I uh… yeah- yeah! Yeah, sounds fun!”
As embarrassing as his inability to speak was, the snort Stan gave in response to it almost made it okay.
“Then get your ass over here, big guy.”
What About Me? Ch. 3
FINALLY HERE SORRY I TOOK TWO DAYS HAHHHH
PAIRING: Jax x Reader (Romantic) / Gangle x Reader (Platonic)
TW: Name-calling, slight existential dread
CONTENT: You stand up to Jax on behalf of Gangle.
“RABBIT!” came your bellow of anger, stomping up the hallway. Your sights were set on the periwinkle bunny boy, fingers curled into fists. He turned, arms crossed. From even here, you could see the smug grin. He held Gangle’s mask in one hand.
“Oh? What’s wrong, sweetie?” he mocked a motherly concern, “someone hurt your crybaby friend’s feelings?” You snarl, eyes full of fiery fury, “Give it back, you tool!” you snap. You were momentarily surprised this word was allowed, but it wore off quickly.
You stormed right up to him, jamming a finger in his chest, “You had better give me that mask, you spiteful, conniving, sorry excuse of a man!” you snap. He’s stunned for a moment, unable to say anything, then glares at you, “Who do you think you’re talking to like that?!”
“I would have thought it was obvious, but I guess I overestimated your intelligence!” you sneer, hands on your hips. Jax snarles, “Take it!” and tosses it over your head. You leaped backward, trying to catch it, and somehow you managed to. You’re impressed with yourself, and it boosts your confidence greatly.
“That’s the best throw you’ve got?” you chuckle, “yeah, you were the last picked in high school PE.” You omit the fact that you, as well, were picked last due to your clumsy nature. You spin around, wiggling your fingers like a hoity-toity rich lady, “Ta-ta~” your tone is mocking. You giggle up the hallway, slipping into your room, “Gangle, I got it,”
She looks up, delightfully surprised, “You did? How?” she takes the mask, slipping it over her tragedy mask, a smile finally gracing her face. You shrug casually, but can't stop smiling. “Eh, just what he least expected. I had a comeback.”
She snorts, “I kind of regret not following you… It would be funny…” You flap your hands, stimming slightly, “Oh, no need. He looked like this,” you give an exaggerated expression of surprise. This makes Gangle snicker harder, “I really regret missing it now!”
You enjoy a good laugh together before she turns to the desk, “Hehe… here, I have a rough sketch…” she wiped away a tear from laughing too hard, “What do you think?” She held up the sketch; Naruto in his sage form, the lines smooth and expertly lain.
“That's amazing… I was gone for less than two minutes how did you do that?” She squeaked, embarrassed, and pulled the paper close to her chest. “I used to draw caricatures, I guess I never lost the speed, even in this style.
“Well it's impressive, that's for sure,” you hop into your bed, stretching out, humming to yourself. Gangle glances at you, grinning, “thank you!” You roll onto your side, propping your head up with your hand, “What’s Jax’s problem anyway?” you ask suddenly.
Gangle shrugs, pulling out the liners, “He just sort of showed up like that. I don’t think he’s got a problem, I think he’s just mean naturally.” You sigh, rolling your eyes, “Of course, in a weird world where you can’t escape there's gotta be a bully,” you grump sarcastically, “because what else would you have?” Gangle shrugs, “I don’t know if there is a rhyme or reason to who gets brought here. There doesn’t seem to be a pattern.” You flop onto your back, staring at the ceiling, the existentialism of this place far beyond your reasoning. This place was nothing like you’ve ever thought, and yet you were experiencing it. “...Weird.”
Vampire Wedding Part 1
Translations may not always capture the exact nuances or tone of the original text. Expect grammatical errors and inaccuracies.
Drake: "I'm home!"
Drake returned from a spontaneous outing late in the evening.
Mitsuki: "Welcome back. You're late. Where have you been?"
Drake: "Well, I stopped by a tavern and got into a lively conversation with some folks there."
After saying that, he grinned and looked at me.
Mitsuki: "Is something wrong?"
Drake: "Nah, I just thought you looked as beautiful as ever, little fawn."
Mitsuki: "Hehe, what's with the sudden compliment? Do you need a favor?"
Drake: "Not a favor, more like an invitation."
Drake: "How about a date on the sea at night?"
Mitsuki: "Eh, date?"
Surprised by the unexpected invitation, he deepened his mischievous smile.
Drake: "I met a generous guy at the tavern who let me borrow his ship."
Drake: "I thought we could have a fancy night cruise. What do you say, Mademoiselle?"
Mitsuki: "Wow, that sounds wonderful! I'd love to go!"
Drake: "That's the spirit."
Drake: "Then, let's go tomorrow. There's something I want to show you."
Mitsuki: "Something you want to show me?"
Drake: "It's a secret."
He winked meaningfully.
Drake: "It's my special treat, so look forward to it."
Mitsuki: "Hehe, got it. I'm really looking forward to it!"
After chatting about various things, I fell asleep without realizing it.
I awoke to a sensation of something touching my cheek.
Drake: ".........."
When I groggily opened my eyes, I saw Drake peering at me, gently stroking my cheek.
Drake: "A blood oath, huh?"
Drake murmured.
(Blood oath?)
I was curious, but my consciousness soon drifted back to sleep.
The next day, I hurried to finish my chores, and by evening, I headed to the port where we had arranged to meet.
(What will a night cruise be like? And what could Drake's special surprise be?)
Vlad: "Bonjour, Mitsuki."
Suddenly, I heard a voice and turned around to see Vlad pulling a flower wagon.
Vlad: "The sun is about to set. Are you going out now?"
Mitsuki: "Yeah, I'm going on a date with Drake tonight."
Vlad: "That sounds great. Have fun."
As he smiled, the words I heard last night crossed my mind.
Mitsuki: "Hey, Vlad. Do you know what a blood oath is?"
He looked surprised for a moment, then smiled softly.
Vlad: "Of course."
Vlad: "A blood oath is a traditional wedding ceremony in the vampire world."
Mitsuki: "A wedding ceremony?"
Vlad: "On the night of the full moon, the groom pledges 'eternity' by biting on the bride's ring finger."
(I never thought it held such significance.)
(But today was definitely a new moon, so it doesn't matter, right?)
Mitsuki: "Thank you for telling me. I should go now."
Vlad: "Yeah, have a good night."
As the sun completely set, the ship smoothly sailed through the dark sea.
Leaning on the railing and gazing at the pitch-black surface of the sea, Drake, who was standing next to me, gently pulled me closer.
Drake: "I've got to hold you so that you don't get pulled into the sea."
With a mischievous grin, Drake made me recall the word "wedding."
(I hope Drake and I can experience that someday.)
I couldn't help but swoon as I dreamed about a future where the two of us were pledging our eternal love.
(Drake probably doesn't want to willingly enter into a blood oath. Besides, the night of the full moon would be difficult due to the bloodlust.)
Drake: "Hey, little fawn? Is something wrong?"
Mitsuki: "Ah..."
Drake's hand gently tapped my shoulder, snapping me out of my thoughts.
Drake: "Pay attention. The show's about to start."
Mitsuki: "Show? What are you...?"
As I tilted my head in confusion, a streak of pale blue light illuminated the dark sea.
Mitsuki: "Huh?"
The light swiftly spread where I was looking, and the sea surface, which had been pitch black until just now, was now enveloped in a faint glow.
Drake: "This is my special surprise. Beautiful, isn't it?"
Mitsuki: "Yeah, it's amazing. Truly beautiful, but what’s actually happening?"
Enthralled by the waves of light washing over us, I nodded dreamily multiple times.
Drake: "Sailors say that these lights represent the souls of our departed comrades, scattered into the sea."
Drake: "When they spot a ship sailing at sea on a moonless night, they guide it safely back to port."
Mitsuki: "So they're watching over us?"
Drake: "Yeah."
Drake: "And for us, this light holds another special meaning."
Mitsuki: "Another special meaning? What's that?"
Before he answered, he gazed deeply into my eyes.
Drake: "Within this light, sailors traditionally propose to their loved ones."
Mitsuki: "Huh?"
Drake’s eyes, as he gazed at me, lacked his usual carefree demeanor.
Drake: “Mitsuki. I want to make you my treasure.”
Drake: “Will you marry me?”
I nodded with a smile, feeling my eyes well up with joy and love at the earnest words that reached straight into my heart.
Mitsuki: “Of course, I’ve been yours for a long time already.”
Mitsuki: “Please always stay by my side.”
Drake: “Mitsuki.”
As he called my name with deep emotion, he embraced me tightly.
I wrapped my arms around his broad back and felt his warm breath.
Drake: “I wish I could say you’re mine forever now, but there’s one more thing we need to do.”
Drake: “We still have something to do on the night of the full moon.”
His words made my heart race.
Mitsuki: “Are you going to make a blood oath?”
I asked nervously, and Drake blinked in surprise.
Drake: “You knew?”
Mitsuki: “Yeah. But are you sure about this? You don’t have to force yourself.”
Drake: “Thanks, Fawn. But there’s no need to worry.”
Drake put his forehead on mine and smiled.
Drake: “I’ll do as I please.”
Drake: “You just have to wait for me to whisk you away.”
Diavolo: Oh! Seren! *chuckles* Are you here to visit your parent?
Seren (6 years old): Good morning, Uncle Dia! Hm! Is Mama here?
Barbatos: MC is in the office right now. *smiles* Though they would never mind if your sudden visitation.
Seren: *beams* Okay! I'll go there now! *goes upstairs*
Diavolo: Ah, such a lovely kid.
Barbatos: I agree. However, I'm curious why Sylvas hasn't paid a visit.
Diavolo: That's because his egg hasn't hatched yet.
Barbatos: Huh?
MC: *cuddling Seren* Thank you for visiting me every week, Seren!
Seren: *smiling* I wish I could visit you everyday but I have classes.
MC: *chuckles* That's fine. Anyway, how's your dad and brother?
Seren: Mama, Sylvas doesn't want to come out of his egg.
MC: Eh? Why?
Seren: He doesn't like Papa.
MC: Huh? That can't be.
Seren: It's true! He thinks Papa is ugly and that's the reason you didn't marry him.
MC: ...
MC: Did you try to explain to him how you two were born?
Seren: Hehe. No.
MC: Oh dear. Alright.
MC: Luci? Do you want to come with me to visit Malleus?
Lucifer: I would love to, however, I have a meeting this afternoon.
MC: Oh.
Lucifer: I can ask Simeon. I'm sure he'll be more than happy to assist you.
Seren: You're not going to ask any of your brothers, uncle?
Lucifer: They are currently being punished, sweetie. So no.
Seren: *giggles*
MC: Okay. Luci, don't overwork yourself.
Lucifer: *chuckles* I'll try.
Malleus: Child of man... *smiles* It's been a while.
MC: Yes. Sorry. It was quite busy in Devildom. *their visit was last three years ago*
Malleus: Do not worry about it.
MC: By the way, Mal? Hasn't Sylvas come out of his egg yet?
Malleus: *pouts a little* Yes. Even though he has no reason to.
Simeon: It could be that he's sulking. *chuckles* I'm sure you know why.
MC and Malleus: ...
MC: Where is he? I'll talk to him.
Simeon: While you do that, I'll stay here with Seren. I'm sure your son wouldn't like to see one of their parent's lovers.
Seren: Uncle Simeon! You're going to bless Sylvas, right?
Simeon: *smiles* Of course.
Malleus: Alright. I'll accompany you, child of man.
Malleus: *completely unamused*
Sylvas: *whining little dragon noises*
MC: *cuddling him* You know you could always call me, Sylvas. Why did you have to wait that long?
Sylvas: *sad dragon eyes*
MC: *chuckles* You have also worried your father.
Sylvas: *turns his head at Malleus then snarls*
Malleus: ...
MC: ...
MC: O...kay?
Malleus: *frowns*
Hello mein liebling muacks
I’m here to whore out by requesting a Dom Keegan x Sub Y/N smut! EHEHE
Scenario: in front of the mirror ehe <3 forced eye contact..?
Itll be nice to include praise and degradation <3 Y/N can be fucked dumb and knife play seems cool ((oops.. I’ll wait patiently if you want to write this EHEHHE
Greetings sweetheart hehe, I'm here to serve you something <3
Also im sorry it took so long, but here we go!!!
Fem! Reader, dom! Keegan, virginity loss, mirror sex, forced eye contact, praise + degradation (slut), dumbification... kind of?, pet names (sweet girl, bunny, baby), knife play, fingering, Keegan is a bastard and he's sweet about it
Your intentions when you came to his room were really not what he thought of them to be. All you wanted was to discuss something after the last mission when he told you you had made a little mistake when checking if there was still ammo in the gun.
So you knocked on his door.
"Be right there" his voice is muffled from behind the door, and then it opens, revealing his mask. "Oh, y/n, what can I do for you?"
Your eyes take in the lack of his eye black and you assume he was in the process of getting ready for bed. After all, it was already nine. "Hey, uhm... sorry I didn't manage to come by earlier, I had lots of paperwork," you start, fumbling with your sleeves. "But I wanted to ask you about this thing on the mission earlier."
Keegan raises a brow at that. "What about it? You gotta be more specific than that, kid."
"A- Ah, right! You said I made a mistake when checking my gun for any leftover ammo, and I wanted you to help me fix that." You explain and quickly add on, "But it doesn't have to be right now! I can wait!"
You see the realization in his eyes when you tell him what it is that brought you here, and then he chuckles. "Ohh, that. It's fine, come on in. I'll show you what you need to do."
"Thank you!" Your eyes light up at that. He opens the door a bit wider and motions for you to enter, so you do.
You miss the way his eyes glint with mischief.
The first thing you notice is the huge mirror he has that faces his bed, but you don't question it. He probably gets ready in front of it every morning to check his gear.
"Take a seat wherever you want, I'll get my gun to demonstrate." Keegan says and moves to the adjacent bathroom, and you hear a drawer open, rustling, and then it closes. You move to take a seat on his bed, just on the edge, barely keeping yourself from slipping.
You see him emerge from the bathroom through the mirror with a gun in hand. Lucky for him, his smirk is concealed by his mask.
"Okay, kid, watch closely." He says, voice dropping an octave as he sits down next to you, thighs touching. "First, you take out the ammo box," Keegan explains and does just that. "Then, you check if it's empty. If it is, you have to ascertain that there's nothing stuck in the butt of the gun."
You feel a blush on your cheeks at his explanation and how he does it. "I- I see." You nod along.
Keegan isn't dumb. He notices how what he does affects you, and he can't help the chuckle from shaking his shoulders. "You have to feel around it very carefully, okay? Move over every millimeter. Make sure nothing is stuck."
Heat spreads through your tummy at that. Watching his long fingers feel around the empty butt of the gun.
"And when you're sure there's nothing left, you can reload. Easy as that." He finishes and holds the gun out to you. "Your turn. Feel around for it."
"O- Oh! Sure.." Your eyes widen as you take the gun from his hands. "So, I just... do it like this?" You ask as you shove two fingers into it, feeling around.
Keegan can't help the way his blood shoots straight to his cock at the sight, barely able to contain the low groan that threatens to escape his throat.
"Yeah, just like that." He replies, and you shiver at the low rumble in his chest.
You stop what you're doing and clear your throat, looking into his eyes through the mirror. "O- Okay, I think I got it now. Thank you."
Keegan keeps his eyes on you and plucks the gun from your hand with a chuckle. "Good job, kid."
You clear your throat at the praise and get up. "I.. I think I'll go now then."
"Not so fast." Keegan interrupts you by grabbing your wrist and pulling you close. "I still have more things to teach you, sweet girl."
You blush, suddenly feeling like you're rooted in place. "L- Like what?"
He pulls you onto his lap all of a sudden, his mask-covered face very close to your own. "Hmm, I won't spoil that yet."
You blink hard and watch him peel his mask off, tossing it somewhere behind him. "Wow, you're... hot."
Keegan chuckles, the noise low in his chest. "Why, thank you. You're a cute little thing yourself, though." He smirks before pulling you into a heated kiss, almost devouring you.
It pulls a gasp from you, and he uses the chance to slip his tongue into your mouth, eagerly exploring it all. Your hands find purchase on his muscular shoulders.
And Keegan doesn't waste time, his hands sliding over your thighs and straight under your shirt to carress your sides. "W- Wait.." You mumble against his lips.
He stops and looks at you. "What is it, bunny?"
"I, uhm.." You stammer, "I... I haven't done... that yet.."
His eyes widen at the info, and you avoid looking at them. "Hey.. It's okay, sweet girl, I'll make sure you'll have the time of your life." Keegans strokes your cheek, "If you let me."
You swallow your nerves and nod. "Nah-ah bunny, I want you to say it." He says and kisses your neck.
"Y- Yes.. I- I want it.."
"Good girl... now, get undressed for me, hm?"
You blush heavily but stand up and oblige, shedding all your clothes.
"Fuck, you're so gorgeous, bunny." Keegan groans and pulls you close before landing a harsh slap to your ass, then kneading it.
A whimper escapes you due to the pain, and you notice the huge tent in his pants. "Won't- Won't you get undressed too?"
He laughs, the sound sending shivers down your spine. "If that's what you want, sweet girl." And he does, peeling them off bit by bit.
You're left in awe, taking in every scar and how ripped he is..... and how fucking huge his cock is. "That's, uhm... scary."
Keegan barks out a laugh. "I've heard a lot about it, but certainly not scary." He then scoots back a little and pulls you to sit between his legs, facing the mirror.
He meets your eyes in the mirror from over your shoulder before he suddenly presses a knife against your throat. It's not hard or anything, but the presence is known, and your breath hitches. You then observe his unoccupied, right hand slowly slide over your hips before he hovers it above your cunt.
"Say if it's too much, and I'll stop." Keegan mumbles into your ear, and you nod quickly. "Good girl."
Your hands rest on his thighs, and you bite your lip when his fingers slide over your wet pussy. He applies slight pressure and draws circles on your clit, smirking. "Damn, bunny, you're dripping wet."
You look into his eyes and whimper quietly. "Shut up.."
Keegan pushes the knife against your throat a little tighter and suddenly buries a finger in your drooling hole. "Big words coming from someone like you." He growls and bites into the crook of your neck.
A surprised squeal escapes you at the sudden intrusion and the feeling of his teeth on your skin. "K- Keegan.." You whine pitifully, fingers digging into the meat of his thighs.
The chuckle he lets out rumbles deep in his chest, sending vibration across your back. He doesn't say anything. Instead, he starts pumping his finger in and out of your cunt; so agonizingly slow it makes you tear up. "Please..." You whimper, "more.."
"Oh? More?" You see his smirk in the mirror, knife still at your throat and watching his finger slowly enter and exit your cunt, over and over and over again.
And you kind of regret not saying what more you wanted, because next thing you know, he's shoving a second finger into you. "Oh my god-"
"Isn't this what you wanted, sweet girl?" He teases, fingers going at the same agonizing pace. "You wanted more, and I did just that."
"You-" He doesn't let you finish what you wanted to say, because it's quickly again interrupted by a third finger burying itself in your sopping pussy.
All you manage is a high-pitched moan, eyes rolling back. And oh, how Keegan enjoys watching you. "You look so pretty like this, bunny. A dripping wet mess, knife to your throat... eyes rolled back just from my fingers... I can't wait to stuff your tight little virgin pussy with my cock, baby.."
You bite your lip hard, the way he talks, what he says, sent a rush of pleasure through your tummy. "F- Fuck, Keegan.."
He smirks and suddenly speeds up the pace of his fingers inside of your pussy, intensifying the squelching sounds from your wetness. The pace leaves your head spinning, and your eyes squeeze shut while you're near screaming from the overwhelming pleasure. And your first orgasm builds up way too fast.
"Can feel how hard you're clenching on my fingers, bunny." He groans, his dick twitching at the sight of you in the mirror, your noises, and the feeling of you. "I know you want to... cum for me, sweet girl."
Your nails dig into his thighs, your eyes roll back, and your jaw goes slack when your climax washes over you soon after he said that. Your cum soakes his fingers, and he pulls them out.
"Look at the mess you made." He says and holds them in front of your way with a smirk and a glint in his eyes. "So much cum... my dirty little girl."
"I- It just... felt so good.." You pant, still coming down from your orgasm. You meet his eyes, gulping when you see the way his knife is at your throat. And then he puts his fingers into his mouth, cleaning your juices right off.
"Hmm, taste so sweet.." He groans, and you feel his cock tap against your back. "Just what I'd expect from you, my sweet, sweet girl."
You whine and squirm, trying to turn around. "Keegan.."
He chuckles and uses his now free hand to cup one of your tits. "What's up, baby?"
"Wanna... wanna kiss you again.."
Keegan lets a deep moan rip and turns your face to kiss you over your shoulder. It's messy, but it feels so good. "Are you ready for the real deal, baby?"
You shudder when he sets the knife down, the other hand now unoccupied and sliding across your thigh. "Y- Yes... I want it.."
"Good girl." He praises and kisses your shoulder. "Lift your hips for me, baby."
He taps your hip, and you quickly oblige. You watch him in the mirror as he rolls a condom on so quickly that you almost miss it. "Try to relax yourself, bunny, I'll be gentle," Keegan snickers, "at least for now."
A shiver runs down your spine when you feel his tip nudge your slit, moving it back and forth a little to tease you. "Keegan, please... please put it in.." You whine, trying to push back, and your eyes roll back once more when the tip enters you.
"Shit.. you naughty little bunny." He curses before slowly easing more and more of himself into you. "You feel so good, baby."
You pant, the stretch burning deliciously, and you already feel so full.
"Can't- Can't take more!" You quickly gasp when he pushes in further, tears pricking your eyes at the overwhelming feeling.
"Oh, you can, bunny, don't worry 'bout it." Keegan mumbles, clearly struggling to control himself. "I'm halfway in, you're doing so good, sweet girl.."
You whimper when more and more of his long, thick length pushes into you. "Feel.. so full.."
He doesn't say anything, just focuses to not lose himself in the feeling of your pussy. And then he finally bottoms out, his pelvis flush against your ass. The tip presses against your cervix and the sensation is weird.
"Fuck, bunny... You're taking me so well.." He grunts, holding you tight against his chest. "How does it feel? Can I move?"
Your breathing is harsh, his cock filling you up so deliciously. "Y- Yeah... you can move... just start it slow.."
Keegan's hands are on your hips, and you watch in his mirror how he slowly fucks in and out of you. The noises your sopping cunt makes are a little embarrassing, but neither of you cares. "Fuck, you take me so well.. feel so damn good, bunny."
You whimper and dig your fingers into his thighs again. "You.. you feel good, too... stretchin' me out so much.."
He groans deeply and suddenly picks up the pace, snapping his hips quickly back and forth, clapping against your buttcheeks. "A- Ah, Keegan!"
"That's right, baby, scream my name.." He moans into your ear, watching you get fucked by him in the mirror.
"F- Fuck! Please! Go harder!" You wail loudly, tears slowly streaming down your cheeks.
"With pleasure, my sweet girl." He grunts before his thrusts pick up even more speed and harshness. "Gonna make sure your pussy remembers the shape of my cock, baby."
"Mhh, fuck! Yes, please, yes!" You scream out, the way he fucks you so hard and fast leaves your brain a mess.
"Look at yourself, going dumb on my cock, hm?" Keegan says through clenched teeth, the smacking noises loud in the room.
All you manage in response is a long, drawn-out moan of his name, and your pussy clenching hard around him. "Feel... Feel like cumming!"
He growls at that, his thrusts not letting up. "Cum for me, bunny, make a mess on my cock."
You squeal when you feel your orgasm hit you like a truck, legs trembling and clenching around his dick. "I'm gonna cum, too."
Keegan delivers a few more powerful thrusts before shooting his load into the condom. You can feel his dick twitching inside of you as he slowly rides out both your highs.
You slump back against his chest, legs still twitching and breathing erratic. You can't even form a coherent thought, just feeling so fucked out and blissful.
He chuckles into your ear, caressing the spots where he had gripped your hips. "My sweet, little bunny. Did so good for me."
You whine and try to snuggle more against him. "Tired.."
"It's okay, sweet girl. Let me take care of you now." He says and carresses your thigh. "Got you all dumb on my cock, hm? My little slut... just for me.."
BAD SON
Warning: DRAMA, forced relationship, just Aqua being the creepy manipulative dork he is, two stalkers playing, sorta friends to enemies? Enemies to menaces. Not really yandere?
Summary: You come to realize your friend had been trying to stab you in the back. Being a skilled stalker works well in these situations.
In all honesty, he couldn't be doing anything wrong. These were just tricks to get her close, to make sure things went his way and he could breathe easy, every once in a while, he deserves it. For everything to succeed, there's hardships first so if he took the time to brace through the storm, he could have the puzzle pieces.
But perhaps, he underestimated how mentally strong one can be, all the things that are supposed to hurt her and get her to ask for help, resulted in a rather odd reaction. She ended up getting stronger, more independent, and more capable than before.
And she didn't come running to him.
He even made sure to offer help, standing there willingly so that she could see him as clearly as day, spoke to her, and reassured her, however, his plans had holes in them.
She did not ask for help. From him. They did not get any closer than they already were. She even avoided him, building invisible walls, and he had to wonder if she knew he controls the situation to his liking and pushes some to fall in place. A manipulator.
Even though her reputation had been torn down and shredded into bits, she smiles. She smiles.
He could have given up, let her be, let her breeze through peacefully but should he admit defeat so early on? He can't, he won't. How long can a person withstand verbal harassment before breaking down? Not forever, he can be her ally, her best friend.
He had to make himself impossible to ignore. He just had to make her come to him.
"Hey." he approached her sitting at her marked bench, and she hadn't noticed him watching her from a distance, did she like to pretend?
"Hi. Is there something wrong?" she replied, shifting over to make space between them.
"No."
"O... Kay? Then, what's up? Did you find the one behind the rumors? You did say you would but you don't need to worry about it." she grinned, looking away to the ground, anything to not make eye contact. Was she secretly ashamed?
"I don't break my promises," he said, crossing his arms as he leaned back, "you didn't make a promise though." she raised her eyebrows, blinking a couple of times before turning away.
"I appreciate it, but I have a hunch on who did it." she swayed her legs back and forth, maintaining her smile, "I'm not too sure yet."
"How do you know?" he asked.
"Oh, you know, just connected the dots, and boom! I found it, but there were only three people who knew about it, my tendency to play around with anyone sure is troublesome but eh what can I do?" she mused, pouting.
"But you know, I realized an interesting clue. No one who could have spread it is any better than me, so I think it's someone I know but haven't quite yet gotten to know them." she looked at him, stretching her smile wider she kept her gaze on him, "But, yeah like I said, I'm not sure, because I can't care about everybody hehe." she quickly turned her face dropping her smile and softly glaring at passengers.
"You know..." she slowly started, "we don't know each other that much, right? Strange, even though we've been friends for months," she stated, sitting up straight she glanced back at him, "the other day, I'm pretty sure I followed you around, and you didn't even notice me." she frowned, quietly waited for the response she had envisioned in her head.
However, he had nothing to say but his face surely indicated some of the things his poker face couldn't hide.
"I even made sure to call out your name, but at last, you didn't even see me." she sighed louder, "Pity really, we could have been best friends." she got up, staring down at his facade.
"I hope you go to hell." she hissed, disgust was written over her face, and no matter what he said, nothing would change in the slightest, she had already walked away and left him behind.
Maybe he isn't as good as he thought himself out to be, he's let pride rust his brain.
Just as he had ruined her reputation, she ruined his, doing plenty to hurt him in the long run, and he didn't like how it stung, how despite being careful, he wasn't careful enough, she could have been the special tool he could use, but she had more personas than one.
How was he going to recover her?
Who told her he was behind the rumors, did she figure it out herself by following him around? Could she still have dirt on him she could use to threaten him with, when had she trailed him? He couldn't have mentioned anything about his final plan.
He couldn't afford another slip-up.
He had to get her on his side.
A fake love confession seemed to be his only chance if she's got more tricks up her sleeves, then he would have to dig deeper to find her darkest secrets. Her weakest points. He couldn't sit back and let anyone give him what he doesn't want.
The next time they had a project together, he'd get her to come, alone. She wasn't anybody special, and he won't let her top him.
The fun part was, nobody wanted to be partners with him, so by default, pulling some strings to get someone to exchange with him wasn't hard. Since, well, both of them were outcasts at this point.
"Hm... You are one hell of an enemy," she muttered to herself, pushing her face against her palm as she looked outside, "by now, you could have saved yourself, I'm sure people would believe you more than me, but oh well, they sure would be blind then." she giggled.
"I want to meet you after school." he bluntly uttered after ignoring her words, "What a joke, you want to confess to me or something?" she smugly stated, intently side-eyeing him.
"Even if you were sincere about it, you're an actor," she smirked, "you are supposed to fool everyone with your charm and looks, and most of the time, it works." she shrugged.
"Alright, if you insist." he wanted to shut her up anyway, so taking a quick look at their subject teacher, he pulled her face to his and dismissed the shocked face of his classmate when he kissed her. As soon as it began, it ended.
This way, it was sure to spark more gossip. Bring her to him even if she didn't want to.
And it worked, she and he were a thing in the eyes of the people. Even if, she hadn't accepted his confession, he wasn't going to give her a choice. Everything should be going his way.
He's going to make sure she falls in love.
"We should finish this project today." he stopped her by the entrance, grabbing her wrist and making it impossible for her to leave. "I'll come if you want."
"No need," she argued, softly attempting to pull away from him without causing a scene, "It would be better if you let go now. I don't want to report you for sexual harassment and make your career a burning pile of garbage."
"Would they believe you?" he spoke, "I'm the one with connections, not you. So let's make some concessions."
"I don't care, let go! Don't touch me!" she forced her hand out of her grasp and made haste to the exit, and if anyone had paid attention to them, he hopes it makes them think they are closer than anybody else in the whole world. Because the last thing he wanted is for his plans to fail.
She was making it harder for him.
At this rate, he was going to lose her.
With her help, he's sure they can easily overpower his wicked father, he needs this relationship to work. He will make it work.
He will fall in love and so will she.
"I will return for you, my Lily... Until then, please... wait for me..."
.
Kuroshiro... Kuroshiro 🥺... oughhhh I love Kuroshiro so much 😭😭😭
Like many of my other AU's, I'm not gonna say much about these two until I can work on their story more cause... I'm not 100% sure on most of the details for this one (I've only written up to the first chapter, but I started rewriting what I had lol) 😅
So for now, I'll just leave this drawing and the oneshot I did for RuiKasa week earlier this year for you to speculate on hehe
And here's the link in case anyone hasn't read it yet or would like to reread it :D
As for the other prompts for the rest of Ruikasatober, I most likely won't get to them, unless I can finish drawing the fish and post the next chapter of FtW for day 23 (any AU) or day 31 (free day)... I want to at least post it before the end of the month if I can, so we'll see how fast I can finish up this last bit of prep for it ehe
.
time : 10 hr 24 min
Pls don't repost/reuse/edit
Likes, comments, and shares are appreciated!
