The first three members of the Knight Errants. The trinity
Void: From the Until Dawn Verse. Void is the child of Michael Monroe and Samantha Giddings-Monroe. They die in the void between verses but their child lives and arrives in another verse. It becomes born as an ultimate, ever-adapting, self-gender controlling, less-than-human superbeing with powers based on itself, inverted versions of those powers, and all of the memories and experiences of both of its parents. It immediately reached the adult prime age but it stopped aging from there and now has the appearance of a pale, cordless, adult-size embryo fetus. Void can be empowered by the hero and slayer archetypes its parents adopted for years, thus its powers are limited only by that affinity.
Trix: From the Ben 10 Verse. Trix is the child of Ben Tennyson and Eunice. It's half a living being, half an artificial being but stronger than both. It can control its own gender and has the characteristics of a sentient unitrix in mobile DNA form but can develop the abilities of any Omnitrix, Ultimatrix, Biomitrix, Slime-Biot, Potis Altiare, and even the codon stream itself in the same sentient mobile DNA form. It can change into any species at will instead of having a piece of machinery attached to it. It can also become an Anodite and other non-DNA-based lifeforms. Trix's abilities are ultimately limited by its virtuous emotions due to the original Omnitrix being intended for peace and unity and due to its father using the device for heroism. Trix can have the abilities of the Nemetrix and be an anti-hero but no more lethal than the punisher and ghost rider.
The Avatar: From the Avatar Verse. Avatar Korra is from an alternate verse where a lion turtle imparts Avatar Wan with the knowledge of energybending after mastering all other bending arts, including spiritbending, and energybent/spiritbent both Raava and Vaatu, resulting in Vaatu becoming purified and Raava becoming Raavaatu, an avatar spirit with the powers, capabilities, and instincts of both Raava and Vaatu at their peak. Korra can survive and adapt to any environment and can master every possible bending art, specialized sub-bending technique, and non-bender skill to their fullest extent. She also has the avatar state which allows her to channel vast cosmic energies and the knowledge of previous Avatars, granting her increased strength and the ability to perform especially powerful and extraordinary feats of bending. Korra may unconsciously enter the State in response to the perception of mortal danger or high emotional stress, utilizing the State as a defense mechanism but she can have full conscious control over the State and can enter and exit it at will once she has mastered the state via mastering her chakras. Her worst and greatest weakness is internal imbalance.
Together, they are the Knight Errants. The greatest heroes and superpowered beings to ever live.

Day 6- Sword of the Knight Errant
Sword- The Garden Guardian
This relatively simple sword has been personalized over the years- as the knight patrols the countryside, grateful locals give them tokens and charms that are tied to the hilt of their sword.

Underrated reason why Lyanna as the KotLT just works is because it follows a pattern of deconstruction re the concept of knightly chivalry and honor, from Lyanna herself to her son 15yrs+ later. Lyanna as the KotLT is a gender-swapped version of the ‘knight rescues a helpless maiden from raucous bullies’ trope, but grrm of course puts his spin on it because one Lyanna is not even a knight to begin with and two, she’s a girl. Then knight!Lyanna fights the bullies which is again an adaptation of another trope: the ‘mysterious knight-errant enters the joust and wins then dips’, which is interesting because these types of knights sometimes fall into the black knight trope. And the black knight is, more often than not, not the hero. But the main reason why this is so interesting is Jon. Lyanna “cosplays” a black knight, but her son Jon later becomes an actual black knight. Jon then repeats his mother’s actions by defending Sam in AGoT, which is another subversion of the aforementioned ‘knight rescues a helpless maiden trope’ because the helpless maiden in this case is a helpless…lad…Though Jon and Lyanna acting as agents outside the bounds of knighthood (Lyanna being a northern woman and Jon being a member of the NW) puts them more in line with the traditional black knight (who is usually an anti-hero/villain), the actual essence of their actions puts them closer to the more valiant and honorable white knight according to tradition.

More Swordtember designs!
Spymaster "This delicate blade takes the form of a glass ink pen that looks more like a decoration than a weapon, suiting its wielder's job and disposition. Despite its ornamental look, it possesses the ability to ignite and shape any concentration of liquid into a potent magical weapon, thanks to the eerie droplet of the moon's blood sealed within it."
Knight Errant "A weapon snapped in a duel between royal knights long ago. Despite its wielder having been struck from knighthood, it still possesses a supernatural sharpness. The king's blessing conveys all powers to a knight, and a knight is an empty vessel if they fall from the king's graces - so it is said. But then, if that is so, it seems that broken-hearted feelings of betrayal towards one's liege and peers brings power beyond fickle grace, as the broken blade has struck down seven royal knights already."

You've probably already answered something like this, but I'm curious how hands on was Bioware when you were writing the Dragon Age comics?
Did they give you free reign over the story or did they expect you to fulfill a few things as you wrote? (e.g. We want the Protag to be an Elven Rogue girl and we want [insert established character here] to appear in later issues)
They were a wonderful combination of hands-on and hands-off.
By that we mean that they were collaborative, and gave excellent, story-and-character-driven feedback. And they were involved in initial plotting a lot. But they let us write the drafts on our own, and gave the feedback in a timely and respectful manner that never felt like a heavy hand.
They definitely had things they wanted us to do at times, but by-and-large they mostly took what we wanted to do and shaped it to make sure it worked in their world and with their plans.
So Vaea being an Female Elven Rogue was our plan, not theirs. But they liked it. When we pitched Olivia and Calix, they did have feedback that changed the genders on them. But it was from a "keeping the story fresh and different than the dynamics we've seen in other stories" perspective, not a "we have specific plans" perspective.
The use of Varric, Sebastian, Fenris, and the cameos... those were all us asking to use the characters, not them asking us to include them.
Teia and Viago's inclusion in Deception, however, that was very much them wanting us to give you all a glimpse of characters they planned to use in Tevinter Nights.
