so i’m currently working at a law firm and the other day one of the attorneys was talking to me and he mentioned that he’s “not very confrontational” and i was like you are?? a lawyer???

and he said “yeah but in court there are rules. i can argue with some shmuck in a suit in front of a judge no problem, but when i leave the courthouse and go home i’m not gonna argue with my wife about dinner. there are no rules in our kitchen. i would die.”

EP 14 QUICK ANALYSIS

so someone reblogged my post and said that when jiro told yuri he looks pathetic for crying - that jiro was also tearing up? it's kinda hard to tell from his eyes. but lets look at this again

jiro's eyes while asking if yuri was crying:

we can clearly see here that they're still red. no indication of tearing up

but his eyes AFTER seeing yuri scream that he wasn't crying:

like i'm no artist but normally when we draw someone's eyes getting teary, we tend to go for like a glossy/light blue shade. right? at least that's the only explanation i have for this. cause his eyes are looking a little glossy and purple. and what does red with a blue layer make? purple. and that white line that's kinda right before his waterline looks almost like it's supposed to be tears forming, about to spill from his eye. he seems to quickly kick yuri out to make him go check on the incubation period, right after looking at yuri with those eyes. ofc, he was already mentioning it before. but only after yuri saw his eyes, did he quickly kick both him and the MC out. i feel like jiro views crying as weak and pathetic. maybe he was telling yuri not to cry in front of MC to protect his ego and vulnerability. or maybe cause it was making jiro emotional too? and if he truly does view crying as weak, then it makes sense why he would be acting more cold than normal. probably trying to cover up his own emotions. hence why he criticized yuri for crying - probably criticizing himself as well cause he knew he was about to cry.

oh and for him to be like "yuri are you crying? what's the point? there isn't one, is there?" is almost like he was trying to reassure himself as well that there's no point to cry. he's using his logic to try and downplay his own emotions to stop him from tearing up.

but anyway that's my analysis on this matter. lmk if i missed anything or if you have different opinions
