Rahu and Ketu
Credit @moonastrogirl
Rahu and Ketu come both from the same body. Rahu is the dragon’s head and Ketu is the dragon’s body (especially the tail). They are both shadow planets so they BOTH have negative effects no matter the narrative on Rahu being more harmful than Ketu.
If they are in negative houses such as 6th house, 8th house (this house gives mix results, check out comment’s section for more on this house) and 12th house, their energy can be quite useful. Especially if Rahu is in 6th house and Ketu is in 12th house and vice-versa. Those placements give more excellent results than bad ones.
Rahu is about action, Rahu is about heaven, bringing awareness and fighting for what’s right. Rahu has an unstoppable energy. But it has a crazy hunger. It wants more and more each time. And brings changes for the sake of it sometimes. 6th house is daily tasks, daily life, work and enemies. It gives Rahu the perfect playground to make things happen and win against enemies and opponents. Rahu works well also in 1st, 3rd, 10th and 12th house.
Ketu is down to earth, unsatisfied with material things and wants to attain spiritual enlightenment. Ketu is also blind so it cannot see but thanks to its spiritual work and gifts it can see thinks everyone cannot. That’s why 12th house is perfect for it, Ketu gets spiritual enlightenment there and gets strength. Ketu works well too in 3rd, 6th and 9th house.
Ketu ruled people are calm, detached and collected. They have a natural charisma that bring people to them thanks to their calm nature. They have easy access to money and possessions but they are unsatisfied with what they have. They do things with the purpose to get something but they don’t know what. They usually have little energy but they have great business skills and can get wealth easily. They are even like bored with people most of the time. They want what it’s not seen. Been enlightened through spirituality.
Those people make also excellent politicians (Barack Obama, Donald Trump) well known public figures (for humanitarian organisations) or gurus/religious leaders because they are easily loved by the masses. But the negative effect is those people are more than likely overly religious or so worried with spiritual matters to the point it can enslave them and their followers/voters. So even if their intentions can be good they can end up creating issues making people not trust them at the end. They can also feel so numb that they will do anything to feel something : excessive sexual activities, drugs, manipulative tendencies to see how far someone can actually be their follower or puppet. This is the low vibrational energy of Ketu.
Rahu ruled people are the activists (Martin Luther King), innovators (Elon Musk) influencers (Keith Lee) celebrities (Saweetie, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande) cause Rahu rules technology, internet and fame. The head of the dragon see things. It can see what is happening on earth. It has also an endless hunger. Rahu’s energy is electrifying. These people can gather masses and crowds like no one. They can become internet famous overnight or they often go viral for almost anything. Most of the time their vision is so peculiar and they are really innovative people no matter the field they are in.
Most innovators and activists want change for the greater good but they are met with many opposition. It’s not easy for Rahu’s ruled people to have a solid following except if they are entertainers only then yes they will receive plenty of followers fast and easily. The solution for activists/innovators is to only work for the greater good and have pure intentions only. (Keith Lee is the perfect example of this). Plus they can also become the activists/innovators turning their energy into bad deeds. Becoming a criminal or too greedy that their actions don’t align no more with the greater good. (Aka Elon Musk). This is the low vibrational energy of Rahu.
They both need to mature and evolve to tap into their true potential.
Both Rahu and Ketu can have high qualities and very low tendencies. But their energy is nothing more than pure karma in action. They are the yin and the yang. They both need each other.
Rahu is the crown chakra and Ketu is the root chakra. So if you are Rahu ruled, work on your root chakra, it’s probably weak. And if you are Ketu ruled, work on your crown chakra, it’s probably weak too.
2023 is a Ketu ruled year. It’s a 7 year in numerology which is the number of Ketu so it’s best for each and everyone to work on their spirituality and their belief system. But without falling in the low vibrational energy of Ketu. This year also started with a death sort of energy in astrology and now it’s the rebirth period. So it’s time for everybody to grow into the best version of themselves while having faith in what is meant and waiting for them.
Thank you for reading me and if you enjoyed my post, like it, leave a comment or reblog it. It will mean a lot for me and show me what I do it’s actually helpful to you 💜

Murderbot TV show thoughts
Looking over the casting choice and also who is making the murderbot TV show and I'm just not excited :/
Rambling post with lots of opinions follows....
Tumblr media
"Alexander Skarsgård will lead the series and will serve as executive producer." (source)
:(
All the queer, PoC, ace, aro, agender, non binary actors out there.... All the fascinating choices... who the hell is this. Did the people making this show even read the books, like all the characters in there are PoC. Also, executive producer? To be clear I do not know this actor at all. I am seeing posts that he does deadpan well, and speculation that exec producer roles means he's excited to do the books, which is prob good news.... but as if there's not PoC actors who are also deadpan etc etc?? Also, again repeating other tumblr posts, the effect this will have on fanart, too.
"Martha Wells will serve as consulting producer." Well I'm glad she's getting moneys, but how much influence is she going to have??
although - THIS is why you have to specify if a book character is PoC instead of being vague about it (as white authors seem want to do)! Because otherwise people (esp white people) just assume the character is white! this is just how system racism works, it's not interesting or novel, I'm just parroting what so many PoC authors have pointed out. It means that a character who describes itself in the book as a mishmash of generic human while surrounded by a lot of brown skinned humans somehow gets a casting of Alexander Skarsgård. (even if secunit was explicitly described as having brown skin or being not white in appearance, Paramount might just whitewash the character anyway, but still)
Going on..... "The Weitz brothers will write, direct, and produce under their Depth of Field banner. "
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Pinocchio movie here is a live action disney remake, not the Guillermo del Toro stop motion one. If you're like me and perked up a little, on seeing the title, because you got the Pinocchio wrong.
I guess "Rogue One" was a little interesting if depressing, idk.
The company is also linked to the movie "Prospect" (gorgeous scenery and scifi immersion and really nice soundtrack, but I found the movie rather racist and the characters lacking and I personally didn't vibe with it) and "The Farewell" which I mean to watch because people have told me they liked it.
Well, not much of this combination feels like the Murderbot books, to me, tho. I'm kind of puzzled. Like what are they getting from the books. What am I supposed to expect with "Murderbot diaries" being part of the filmography above.
Well how about the execute producers. " David S. Goyer executive produces alongside Keith Levine for Phantom Four. "
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What in the hell?? Noooo! This is like the direct opposite of the core of murderbot! It's like these people skimmed the skin of space dystopian gun pew pew elements and were "yeah this is what the books are about".
Earlier, I was jokingly telling someone "I feel like these people are trying to make James Bond or the Bourne Trilogy in space or something with Murderbot, sheesh" and I fear that is in fact what is happening.
(deep breath)
Murderbot stars an autistic agender aro ace icon character who in the 2nd book hides away in a transport watching TV shows for weeks on end or whatever and then gets called out for that by Pin-Lee in the 4th book. Murderbot and a university space ship bond over the space ship being afraid to watch its fav blorbo die in a fictional show and also the two do their best impression of trying to act like a human.
Also there's fighting and stuff.
Like, that juxtaposition is the fun of the books - like finally, the awkward get-your-gender-stuff-away-from-me a-spec neurodivergent characters have their day in bringing humanity into space dystopia pew pew gun theater. We want to play in this setting, too.
Oh and the books and SecUnit hate corporations and everyone is genderqueer with neo pronouns and polyamory abounds, and there's PoC everywhere.
"the fact that we're getting the corporation rim version of Murderbot and that everyone is kinda bummed about it" is a pretty good summary.
From a specific hurt/comfort whump blog POV -
How are any of these main producer etc people, above, going to grasp the emotional hurt comfort and humor and warm heart of these books? The Tenderness??
Like listen, I need to be clear, I had a blast watching "Blade" with some people a few years ago. It was great. Really fun late night party movie with the right people, A+ experience. However, do I trust Call of Duty Batman vs Superman any of these people to Grasp The Murderbot Books and Handle the Tenderness. No, I Do No, not especially.
. . . . .
Okay fine haich slash cee, who would you cast and hire as directors producers etc. Well first of all a bunch of queer people and PoC and queer PoC. Do you know how many of us want to play in space opera dystopian explosion gunfight theater too. Also I saw someone suggest Tig Notaro play SecUnit - and honestly, that's a fun idea, I would maybe hire a bunch of comedians and also activist types to grab the dry humor and and absolute abhorrance of corporations that permeates the books.
And I'd get a more indie studio production if possible. I know there's the action sequences and special effects and all that IS important in a genre way. Like we are here for all that. We are here for death agriculture robots attacking people and violent robot fights and space kaboom moments. I personally don't immediately know how or which producers studios etc to hire for all that to be included, while keeping slightly smaller studio vibes. Yes SFX action money, but like, more in the spectrum of doctor who budget money and special effects, if that makes sense.
The gunfights and special effects are still more of a secondary feature in my mind. I want to watch the awkwardness of SecUnit and a room full of caring compassionate researchers fully hit the mark but in the most subtle way. I'm here for Ratthi once again saying "what?" in the middle of like the 5th melee situation he's been a part of and Ratthi still is confused as anything. And also, there's some explosions and space travel happening.
As for actors, I'm not really up on actors much, but these tumblr posts have suggestions.
Actually.... Ok, so I like explosions as much as anyone, but what if some small but acclaimed indie character drama creators made Murderbot. Like what if that was one specific flavor of an adaptation. What if the murderbot books were shot primarily as a quirky indie character study tv show set in space. The filmography of the people making it are like: Indie drama - Indie comedy - Murderbot - quirky indie drama - (implying they made murderbot and then went right back to indie movies I guess) I'd be like, "huh, what version of space gunfight drama are we watching here?". Idk, I think it'd be fun.
thanks for reading along in my murderbot ramblings!

Nat Birchall has been quite busy, releasing three albums in the last year:
(October 2023)
The fifth “one-semble” album is Songs Of The Ancestors - Afro Trane Chapter II - This album was made in celebration of the ancestors who carried the Music in their blood and bones and spread it around the Earth, from the earliest times until now. Music crosses continents and cultures and time, and when it speaks of the truth it transcends musical genealogy and continues a timeline from the earliest sources up to the present day. This album pays tribute to the music and musicians that spoke to me from their hearts to mine, inspiring me in so many ways, not just musical ones. Cedric Brooks, Count Ossie, John Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders and all those who play selfless music from the heart.
("one-semble" because he plays all the instruments)
(March 2024)
Nat Birchall returns with a new studio album with an expanded Unity Ensemble. Six original compositions played by a seven-piece group featuring the legendary UK tenor saxophonist, Alan Skidmore and guest percussionist Mark Wastell. Both musicians joined the group onstage at a John Coltrane tribute concert at London’s Café Oto last year, the resulting performance showing just how compatible all the musicians were, so Nat thought it would be propitious to record the group in the studio with their special guests. Both Nat and Alan are Coltrane devotees of the highest order, but they each have their own individual style, and at the sessions their playing complimented each other’s beautifully. With no trace of anyone attempting to “outdo” the other one the recording dates were a testament to the whole group’s selfless approach to music making. Personnel – Nat Birchall – Tenor, soprano saxophone, bells, cabasa Adam Fairhall – Piano Michael Bardon – Bass Paul Hession – Drums Lascelle Gordon – Percussion Special guests – Alan Skidmore – Tenor saxophone Mark Wastell – Percussion
(July 2024)
This album was inspired by the music coming out of Jamaica in the mid 1970s, in particular the use of drum machines by Lee Perry and Aston Family Man Barrett (and Sly Stone in the USA) but also the instrumentals and dubs by Keith Hudson and Im & Count Ossie etc. Searching out, buying and listening to those records had a deep and profound effect on me and became a big influence on me as a musician, which continues to this day. All instruments, recording and mixing by Nat Birchall

SCREAM AND SCREAM AGAIN (1970) – Episode 207 – Decades Of Horror 1970
“Smells like cheese, looks like ham… [takes a bite of sandwich] Oh, no problem. It’s chicken.” Rest assured, Grue Believers. Nothing about this movie resembles chicken. Join your faithful Grue Crew – Doc Rotten, Chad Hunt, Bill Mulligan, and Jeff Mohr – as they dive into that strange vat of boiling acid known as Scream and Scream Again (1970)!

Decades of Horror 1970s is partnering with the WICKED HORROR TV CHANNEL (https://wickedhorrortv.com/) which now includes video episodes of the podcast and is available on Roku, AppleTV, Amazon FireTV, AndroidTV, and its online website across all OTT platforms, as well as mobile, tablet, and desktop.
A serial killer who drains his victims’ blood is on the loose in London. The police follow him to a house owned by an eccentric scientist.
  Directed by: Gordon Hessler
Writing Credits: Christopher Wicking (screenplay); Peter Saxon (novel)
Selected Cast:
Vincent Price as Dr. Browning
Christopher Lee as Fremont
Peter Cushing as Major Heinrich Benedek
Alfred Marks as Detective Supt. Bellaver
Michael Gothard as Keith
Christopher Matthews as Dr. David Sorel
Judy Huxtable as Sylvia
Anthony Newlands as Ludwig
Kenneth Benda as Prof. Kingsmill
Marshall Jones as Konratz
Uta Levka as Jane
Yutte Stensgaard as Erika
Julian Holloway as Detective Constable Griffin
Judy Bloom as Helen Bradford (as Judi Bloom)
Peter Sallis as Schweitz
Clifford Earl as Detective Sgt. Jimmy Joyce
Nigel Lambert as Ken Sparten
David Lodge as Detective Inspector Phil Strickland
First, take a killer film title and an equally killer poster. Then grab a bizarre tale that includes long (yet exciting) car chases, vampires (sort of), Frankenstein (sort of), Nazis (sort of), super Vulcan nerve pinches (sort of), and a bubbling vat of acid. Then cast it with three iconic horror actors and what do you get? Scream and Scream Again from Amicus, directed by Gordon Hessler, and featuring Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, and Peter Cushing. Even if all three are never in the same scene, the results are oddly compelling, yet … goofy and frustrating. Despite the negatives, this film has grown a cult following. What might the Grue Crew make of it?
At the time of this writing, Scream and Scream Again is available to stream from Tubi and Freevee, as well as various PPV options. The film is available on physical media as a Special Edition Blu-ray from Kino Lorber.
Gruesome Magazine’s Decades of Horror 1970s is part of the Decades of Horror two-week rotation with The Classic Era and the 1980s. In two weeks, the next episode, chosen by Jeff, will be Effects (1979), inspired by George Romero’s Martin (1977) and featuring Tom Savini, as both an effects artist and an actor.

Note
who would you say is your favorite wrestler? also please keep filling my dash with these big hot women wrestlers thank you
honestly i think it's kris statlander (which means there will be plenty of big hot woman posting). she's not even been medically cleared for in-ring activity the entire time i've started watching AEW but i've been going nuts on youtube and stream sites watching basically every statlander match that i can just because she's so strong and cool and fun and her movement is so expressive and a joy just to watch and her fits are to die for and on top of everything else her technique is just absolutely killer. i think if she so much as looked at me i would explode with a crunchy poor stock explosion effect, for dyke reasons. it's funny because it's like, i miss her but haven't even seen her live on television! i miss her without even knowing her! anguish. agony. i've also been watching a lot of thunder rosa matches just because she's the other really crucial wrestler out on indefinite injury leave and my god she's a blast. goes apeshit. again, just so much fun to watch; like statlander she just has that je ne sais quoi where she could be doing the most basic possible moves in the ring but it's still compelling because she's the one doing them, and she's just got it. this is probably just a form of confirmation bias but digging into the backlogs for these two wrestlers, it really does throw into relief how badly the women's division is limping with all the injuries. but maybe if kris wasn't doing the double-suplexes that made people fall in love with her, her knees wouldn't have exploded so it's like...man.
as far as wrestlers that are Actually Wrestling Right Now: i do love that jamie hayter and she's basically carrying the women's division of AEW singlehandedly on her shoulders rn because the whole outcasts thing is just foul but takes up so much oxygen; mox for his rabid desire to bleed and fluid-bond with every man who enters his field of vision; bandido is a lucha who i've only seen in the ring once, against bryan danielson, but who was AMAZING and i want to see him and his fucking execution-shot gesture running attack over and over; MJF for being literally perfect in every way as a champion heel to the point where i genuinely hope darby, sammy, and jungleboy all fail to take the title because i just think it would be a huge downgrade in entertainment value; samoa joe for being DA KING OF TELEVISION; stu grayson for being apeshit (and dark order in general is always such an entertaining stable); brian cage for being probably the epitome to me of the ferocious kind of Terminator heel who just destroys people, like the motherfucker looks like a miniboss in a batman video game; keith lee is a wrestler that i fell in love with basically immediately when he showed up to diss chris jericho and then i fell in double-love with him in the ring when he gave chris a fuckin polite little kissaroo on the forehead between blows.
honorable mentions go to Wardlow who i hated at first but who has sucked so much that he has endeared me. getting his car broken into. losing the title immediately. my ex-husband pointed out that he's a hired goon without a boss, like a stray cat, and it broke my little heart. the poor guy is acting out! he's troubled! there's also a lot of women wrestlers that i would love to see a lot more of like willow nightingale and nyla rose but either they're all wrestling on friday nights (i only really watch wednesdays) or the outcasts' feud with jamie hayter is really just burying opportunities for Literally Anything Else to happen in the women's division. jade cargill is an absolute beast but she has literally run out of people to fight so i hope taya valkyrie or something finally takes the belt away (as it's looking like) so that jade can do something else beside mulch regional guests. and yeah i think i do like britt baker as a wrestler, the dentist gimmick is good to me, she's good in the ring, and i know the legit feud with thunder rosa is messy and shitty but whatever, i like her matches (including THE hardcore cage match WITH thunder rosa pre-feud). honestly when rosa comes back, maybe they patch things up face-to-face or maybe they don't, but in either case i'm expecting a fucking barnburner of a grudge match that'll make the hardcore cage match look like a kindergarten classroom

AEW Dynamite 9/21/22
Claudio Castagnoli (c) vs. Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship -- Jericho reverses a top rope Ricola bomb attempt into a hurricanrana!!! Huge straightjacket, sit-out Ricola bomb from Claudio!! Same finish as the Jericho/Danielson match at All Out. The ref is thrown into the corner while Jericho lands a low blow. Jericho hits the Judas Effect and gets the three count. Good match, but I am devastated by the result. Claudio should have held that title for at least 6 months, and Jericho does not need that title or any title.
Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland (c) vs. The Acclaimed for the AEW World Tag Team Championship -- I liked this better than their All Out match. Crazy 450 stomp to the outside by Strickland. Fameasser by Gunn on Strickland. Mic Drop by Caster on Strickland for the three!!!!! This crowd goes absolutely nuts for the new tag champs!!!!! The Acclaimed don't do a lot for me in the ring, but they are entertaining and charismatic, and they have certainly gotten themselves over. I'm happy for them.
Schiavone is interviewing Wheeler Yuta. MJF interrupts!!!!!!! MJF says Yuta will never get a reaction like MJF just got walking out. He says these people worship him and would drink his spit, and that there isn't a single man in this arena who wouldn't let him sleep with their wife, and the only reason he doesn't is because he has standards!!!!!! This man cannot be contained on the mic!!!!!!Lmaooooooo, go off, Max. MJF and Yuta throw hands! MJF lays out Schiavone!!!!!!!!!! Incredible segment!!!!!
Pac (c) vs. Orange Cassidy for the AEW All Atlantic Championship -- This was a great match. These two work so well together. Beautiful deadlift German suplex by Pac <3333. Pac beats Cassidy down for the majority of the match. Cassidy attempts an Orange Punch, but Pac catches him and just absolutely throws him. My god, the strength!!! A second Orange Punch lands and Cassidy covers, but Pac grabs the rope to break the pin. Pac rolls out, and Cassidy goes after him. Pac grabs the ring bell and nails Cassidy. Pac rolls Cassidy back into the ring for a cover and a three count!!!!! Nice!!!!!!
Bryan Danielson vs. Jon Moxley for the vacant AEW World Championship -- Danielson absolutely picks Moxley apart for the first ten minutes. Until Danielson goes to the top, and Mox reverses. Mox hits a big back drop suplex from the top, the goes for the LeBell lock, but Danielson keeps him from fully locking it in and escapes. Cattle Mutilation, beautiful high roundhouse, then psycho knee by Danielson! Mox stomps Danielson's leg and hits Death Rider, but Danielson kicks out! Stomps to Mox's head by Danielson!!!!! Triangle!!!! Transition into the Lebell lock!!! But Mox escapes. Mox lands Death Rider on the stage!!! Kick out by Danielson in the ring!!! Mox locks in a sleeper!! Danielson tries to escape, but Mox rolls through and locks it in again!! Mox is fully on top of Danielson with all his weight, and Danielson goes out. Damn. I am a bit sick of seeing Moxley win, especially with championships involved, but better for him to be MJF's stepping stone than Danielson. Here's to the future!!!!!!

Dynamite 8/11/23
The Devil Attacks
Tumblr media
Dynamite opens with Adam Cole telling MJF that Samoa Joe is the partner he needs at Full Gear. But that means Joe gets a shot at the AEW World title, so this is clearly not a good option. Daniel Garcia interrupts and MJF asks are we getting the sports entertainer or wrestler tonight? Garcia says we will get the wrestler. Roderick Strong gets wheeled into the segment and Cole shuts down the call. Roddy looks at the camera and says “It’s time to remind everyone exactly who the hell I am!”
Garcia and MJF had a good showing, and the idea here was for MJF to persuade Garcia to be his own man. The problem with this story is, 2.0 holding Garcia back has been limbo for months. When Garcia does break from 2.0, it was won't get quite the pop.
Darby Allin/Sting vs. The Outrunners was short but effective. Sting got the victory with the scorpion deathlock, establishing, despite his retirement, he can still pick up the win.
Hikaru Shida and Toni Storm have a sit-down interview. This was a fun segment with Storm, but I’m not sure if she is meant to be a heel or babyface.
It’s quite disgusting how talented Swerve Strickland and Penta El Zero Miedo are in the ring. They delivered a PPV quality match. To make this segment even better, Adam Page turned up with a steel chair. He cracked it over the body of Swerve a few times before giving him the deadeye off the stage through some tables. Page kept yelling ‘’You’re a dead man’’. This is the side of Page we needed to see.
The Young Bucks are still not happy about The Golden Jets as a tag team. Matt and Nick issue a challenge at Full Gear. Kenny Omega finally intervenes and accepts the challenge, although he doesn’t want to wrestle them, but feels the Bucks are being a bunch of ‘’Sissy, whiny, bitchy children.’’ There's stipulation with this match also. The Young Bucks number one contender’s match for the AEW Tag Team Titles are on the line, but to up the ante, if Jericho/Omega lose, then The Golden Jets are no more. This is a much better scene for The Young Bucks as I felt like the ROH trios belts really derailed them.
The ROH TV title was on the line as Samoa Joe defended his title against Keith Lee. Lot’s of meat chants throughout this match as punches, chops rained down. Joe won via rear naked choke. In a shocking post-match moment, Joe vacated the ROH TV Championship. He’s reasoning is that he is now focused 100% on the AEW World Championship. I’m not sure if you can legally vacant a belt, but I think moving the ROH titles off of AEW is a good move.
Red Velvet returned to action after being out with an injury for 9 months. Velvet was super impressive in this match against Julia Hart. These two women put on a good match. Velvet needs to be featured more if these are the kind of matches she can work. Hart starts the post match beat down, but Skye Blue comes to the ring to have a stare down with Julia. Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander come to aid Velvet and Blue. There is still friction between Blue and Kris. Like the Garcia story, this one is lingering for too long. Just have these two fight already because it will get to the point of no one caring.
Mariah May made her AEW debut. She was interview by RJ City where she marks out Toni Storm. I don’t know anything about May, but it’s good to see the woman’s division growing.
Our main event was Jay White vs. Mark Briscoe. The Full Gear title shot was on the line, so there was not way Briscoe was winning. This was a decent match, but what transpired afterwards was the main angle.
MJF made his way from behind and attacked Bullet Club Gold. Max was unsuccessful at getting his belt back again. The lights went out as cameras backstage showed masked men attacking The Acclaimed. Antony Bowens was sent through a glass window. The Man in the Devil Mask appeared on screen. MJF rushed to the back to where The Acclaimed lay half dead. MJF didn't ask were they OK or called for some medical assistance. At the start of the show Roderick Strong did say he was going to remind everyone who he is, but that could be a red herring. I'm still leaning on Jack Perry.
I'm glad to see the person behind the devil mask finally did something that really affected MJF. And this needs to continue until Full Gear. The matches were also a step up from last week. Overall a much better episode compared to last week.
