Hello, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who have reached out to me and my family the past few months; for those who don't know, my mum and uncle passed away on the same day in June and then in November I lost my cat of 19 years, so lets just say 2024 can do one!

2025 brings me hope that the year will be better, and the worse of it will be over! I plan on getting back into creating CC streaming etc, but right now I am enjoying playing... well I was until my Pleasantview got corrupted due to user error, but no fear we have a new hood in the works! Pleasant Point - inspired by our very own @kashmiresims Kashmire Point!

Thanks to those who have been with me on discord calls and chats, especially those the last few months, you really helped me in more than one way and I would love to tag you all but I don't want to accidentally miss someone, but you all should know who you are!

What is to come from lordcrumps this year? Details under the cut!

So what shall we expect from lordcrumps in 2025 and beyond? That is a big question! So let's give a big answer! Below will be of some of my most asked questions, so hope I clear things up!

STREAMING - My first goal is to get Pleasant Point finished and ready to play. Once I have this I shall get back into streaming again, setting up a schedule and what not for those who are interested! You can follow here!

YOUTUBE - Can't tell you when, but I do plan on doing more on Youtube!

CUSTOM CONTENT - Everything that I have created CC form, I will go through and upload at some point. I have TONS of stuff that was meant to be in "sets" (sets like, every wall / every floor / entire stuff packs etc) but never got around to finishing due to my hyper-focus moving onto to something different. So instead of hoarding them, I will eventually get around to uploading them! Cos lets face it, I can always update at a later date!

TERRAIN DEFAULTS - My Pleasantview redo / Pleasant Point / Sim State University Redo all use custom terrain types (like lush, dirt, concrete etc), so they are not that user-friendly to just import and play sadly, so I want to create a tutorial set and videos to go along with them. I also have to have the CC released for them to work too! As well as tutorials on how to have multiple roads sets within in one hood / different roads for different terrain types.

REQUESTS - I still do not want to take requests, this is because I do not like to promise something and never deliver. I will continue doing what I want to do and sharing with of all you. Just assume that one day the entire Sims 4 will be converted by myself or other friends of lordcrumps.com *wink* @platinumaspiration *wink*

I purchase the Sims 4 for me to convert the items to Sims 2, I simply upload to lordcrumps.com for prosperity reasons, and of course to share with you all.

Feel free to use / share / edit what ever you download from me. Not 1 person owns sims conversions; so I cannot lawfully dictate who does what with the downloads. What I will say is for authentic LordCrumps and co CC, it will be on lordcrumps.com, this is where any updates, fixes etc will be posted.

If you use CC for a lot and package up that to share, fine, just make sure they have all the dependencies needed (Sims 4 shadow file, master meshes etc) Just don't take entire packs and re upload and claim as your own? I only ask of this due to the nature of updating files with minor tweaks, updating and bugginess, if it is all linked to one place (my site) then all the updates will be there too.

Hair Defaults by Platasp - this is one download I will be strict on, do not upload anywhere else, this is because of how interconnected the hairs are to each other, removing one might break another. Any updates will be kept to lordcrumps or individual files on PlatAsp tumblr. lordcrumps.com is not planning on shutting down any time soon, so there is no need to re-upload anywhere else.

SIMS 4 CC CONVERSIONS - Yes, one day once The 4T2 conversions have been done, I will be working on converting CC for the Sims 4, but right now; no, unless its really spectacular. So please stop asking to convert stuff from Sims 4 creators as that does not interest me right now. The reasoning behind this is that if I start treating myself to CC items, I will get spoilt and not want to convert actual Sims 4 stuff, silly excuse I know, but I would like to convert the Sims 4 first. That would be cool.

H&M Banner improvements

A somewhat odd creation from me, but! I have been really enjoying posing and creating poses, and in that process it dawned on me that it would be fun to have pictures of actual Sims in my clothing stores instead of the semi-ugly stuff that EA gave us. My friend at @kashmiresims was kind enough to pose out a bunch of her lovely townies for some recolors, but when I went to recolor the banner I discovered EA made the texture square. And to fit the Sim in that square, they chopped the legs off and placed them horizontally. I refuse to continue this folly, so off to fix it I went! I have three things for you today :)

1. A default replacement of the original banner, with improved mapping so that the texture is straight and easier to recolor. It was 256x256, now it is 128x512 so same total amount of pixels, it is just long instead of square. I've included redone versions of the original recolors, so they will look the same. However, if you had other custom recolors, they will be broken. Sorry, can't do anything about that unfortunately.

2. I made an add-on mesh that hangs lower because I find the original sits too high to be easy to use in most stores. It is repositoried to the original. Required the default, mapping will be wrong if you don't use the default.

3. 10 additional recolors sporting various sims from the lovely region of Kashmire, coming to your hood with their newest ad campaign. Seen in a store above, swatch below.

Installation instructions: Default file goes in zCEP-EXTRA folder in your documents The Sims 2 folder, recolors and add-on mesh goes in Downloads. Can place default in downloads too, but you won't be able to make recolors.

I actually didn’t know about this, but it’s sad that they’re trying to censor a film just because it doesn’t fit their narrative. I’m pro-free speech all the way, even for propaganda or problematic movies like The Kerala Story, The Kashmir Files, Animal, or Kabir Singh, etc.

Because at the end of the day, censorship is a bigger problem than bad movies. We, as an audience, have the power to call out propaganda and toxic behavior when we see it. But if we start banning things, it sets a dangerous precedent where anything critical or controversial can be silenced. The answer to bad speech isn’t censorship—it’s more speech.

High Court on Divorce: Calling divorced women 'divorcee' will now be costly! Know why this strict action was taken!

Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Divorce:  In a historic decision, the Jammu and Kashmir High Court has banned the practice of addressing divorced women as 'divorcee'. The court termed it a 'bad practice' and said that identifying a woman as 'divorcee' just on the basis of being divorced is painful and unfair. This decision has been given on a petition filed three years ago, in which the court expressed serious concern over the use of discriminatory language against women in the society.

What did the court say?

Jammu and Kashmir High Court judge Vinod Chatterjee Kohl said that it is a wrong and painful practice to identify a woman as 'divorcee' just because she is divorced. He said, "If 'divorcee' can be written for women, then 'divorcer' should also be written for men, which is not acceptable in society."

The court also said that divorced women should be identified by their name and not on the basis of their marital status. While issuing the order, the court said that if a woman is referred to as 'divorcee' in any petition or appeal, then that petition will be dismissed.

Highlights of the judgement

Now any divorced woman will be identified only by her name in the court documents.

If a woman is referred to as 'divorcee' in any petition or appeal, the petition will be dismissed.

The court has directed all lower courts to follow this decision.

A fine of Rs 20,000 has also been imposed on the petitioner.

Supreme Court's earlier direction

This is not the first time a court has raised concerns over the use of discriminatory language against women. In August 2023, the then Chief Justice DY Chandrachud issued a 'handbook' on behalf of the Supreme Court, which asked to avoid the titles used for women in various cases. The handbook said that 'the offender, whether man or woman, is only a human being, so we cannot use words like adulterer, prostitute, loose character, cheater, vagabond for women.'

Women will be recognized by their personality and achievements

In such a situation, this decision of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court is an important step towards changing the attitude of society towards women. This decision will not only bring changes in the court procedures but will also increase the dignity and respect of women in the society. The court has made it clear that a woman should be identified not by her marital status but by her personality and achievements.

Growing Concerns Over Safety and Justice for Women in India

The safety of women, especially those belonging to vulnerable communities, has long been a pressing issue in India. Cases of harassment, assault, and other crimes against women often highlight systemic shortcomings in addressing such violations. The following case sheds light on the ongoing struggle for justice and security faced by women, particularly those from the Northeast working in metropolitan areas.

Businessman Sahil Zaroo Accused of Rape and Threats

New Delhi-based Kashmiri businessman Sahil Zaroo, who was arrested last month for raping and threatening a young professional from Northeast India, was slated for a bail hearing on Thursday. The hearing was later postponed to September 29.

The incident allegedly happened on August 16, after which Zaroo reportedly fled to Srinagar. He was, however, arrested by the Delhi Police in record 24 hours after the survivor lodged an FIR on August 18.

"The accused Sahil Zaroo was arrested by Delhi Police from Jammu and Kashmir within 24 hours of the complaint. He is in judicial custody and his bail hearing was fixed on September 22, which got postponed to September 23," Additional Commissioner of Delhi Police Hibu Tamang said.

The accused reportedly drugged the girl after a party in South Delhi, when she lost consciousness and fell prey to the heinous crime.

The survivor allegedly told Zaroo that she worked as cabin crew with an airline, after which Zaroo allegedly offered her a job in his private charter flight service. Despite having refused, Zaroo allegedly insisted that the girl take the job offer, with accommodation at his private penthouse. He forced her to stay back after the party to show her his penthouse, according to an FIR filed by the survivor.

The survivor was then drugged, after which she fell unconscious and woke up to find herself in different clothes with her undergarments missing. She was reportedly sick all day and it was not until she fully regained consciousness that she found out that something terrible had happened with her, the survivor reported to the police.

The survivor registered an FIR against Sahil Zaroo vide FIR No. 252/21 under section 376 and 328 IPC, on August 18, 2021. Zaroo then contacted her through WhatsApp and threatened to send the cops for narcotic tests and put her behind bars. Sources close to the case alleged he was confident that her blood test results would show a presence of drugs, since Zaroo had drugged the victim.

Zaroo also reportedly offered the survivor money and kept trying to persuade her to settle the matter and to take the case back. The survivor's flat mates and common friends with Zaroo have reportedly been giving him information about the survivor's whereabouts, said a statement to the cops submitted by a friend who was also at the Greater Kailash party.

The survivor is being given protection by the Special Unit For Northeast Region (SPUNER) Delhi Police whenever they step out.

Meanwhile, Sahil Zaroo's wife Saima Majid filed a counter-complaint against the girl after Zaroo’s arrest, accusing the survivor of blackmailing, extortion, and honey trapping. Majid lodged a complaint with the SHO, Greater Kailash on August 30, alleging that the survivor lied to her husband and cheated him for money.

Zaroo: Chequered Past, Dubious Claims

This is not the first time Zaroo has come under the scrutiny of the police. As early as 2006, Sahil Zaroo was involved in the famous NDPS case of Rahul Mahajan which was registered at the Tughlak Road Police Station.

He was also questioned in the NIA case related to "Hawala Money" in connection with DSP Davinder Singh, J&K Police. Another case vide FIR 32/2008 under sections 232, 354, 427, 506, 509, 541, 389 of the IPC was registered against Zaroo for slapping Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan of Jannat movie fame in 2008.

"This person is well connected and is a habitual offender. He should not get bail. Exemplary action should be taken against such persons. They should be in jail," said Dr. Alana Golmei, a New Delhi-based advocate representing the survivor.

"For us in the Northeast and our young girls, this is not the first time they are going through this. I have been fighting for more than 10 years for justice for our young girls who have come here and worked and who have been sexually assaulted. Whether it is rape or any other offence, they don't get justice," said the activist-lawyer on the difficulties faced by women from the Northeast to fight against violation of their rights.

According to police, Mueeb ul Haq, a resident of Sopore, and Suhail Khan from Delina, Baramulla, were arrested after they were accused of misrepresenting a hit-and-run incident as a murder case on social media. Their reports, which were deemed as “frivolous,” quickly spread in the region, potentially causing law and order issues and hurting public sentiment, a police official stated. The incident involved Azhar Janwari, who was injured in a hit-and-run case on November 5 and later died from his injuries on November 18. Local police had traced the accused, Nadeem Badam, who confessed to the crime. An FIR under relevant sections was filed, and both Haq and Khan were arrested.
