||✧.*A quick guide to shifting methods*.✧||
What are methods?
Methods are sets of steps that a person can follow and that can help them shift. The contents of the
se methods vary from simple visualization, to entire shifting routines.
Methods are not mandatory to shift, and it's not necessary to follow one method entirely. Indeed, some people have created their own, while others don't use them at all.
However, many find that methods have advantages that can help them, as it can be difficult to get in the right mindset for shifting. This includes raising vibrations, improving visualization and meditation skills, or simply motivating you to shift.
Methods are mainly divided in awake and asleep methods. In asleep methods, you go to sleep and wake up in your DR, while in awake methods you are always awake and feel your surroundings change as you enter your DR.
Before attempting a method, it can also be useful to meditate, listen to subliminal, or re-read your script.
Common methods
✧ Raven method
Lie down on your back in a starfish position, with your eyes closed, and count from 1 to 100, while saying affirmations ("I am shifting", "I will shift", etc.) after each number. Try to visualize and feel your DR while doing so. When you feel like your surroundings have changed, open your eyes.
✧ Julia method
Get in a comfortable position and repeat the words "I am" until you feel symptoms. When you feel the first symptoms, start counting from 1 to 100, and once you've reached 100 say identity affirmations ("I am __", "I live in__" etc.). Again, when you feel like your surroundings have changed, open your eyes.
✧ Pillow method
Write down your affirmations on a piece of paper and repeat them before bed, then go to sleep with the piece of paper under your pillow, while meditating/saying affirmations.
✧ Sunni method
Get in a comfortable position and visualize a scene in your DR, trying to actually feel like you are there, like fullest possible sensory detail. While you do this, try to persuade yourself you are in your DR (so if you hear sounds, tell yourself they come from your DR). Once you've done this, say shifting affirmations, and open your eyes when you feel like you've shifted.
Of course there's more, many more, but I'm only doing these four for now cause I'm lazy af

what’s your biggest piece of ‘proof’ that makes you believe shifting is real?
also, is there a method you’d recommend for a beginner?
my biggest proof for me, is probably the fact that I’ve nearly shifted before and I know it. I was so close and I knew in my mind I was going to my dr. I heard people talking, I heard train tracks. I know it’s possible because I’ve done it. I’ve been so close.
another piece of proof that helps me, is that there’s so much undiscovered about the world and humans still, so to hear from others that shifting is in fact a thing, why would you not want to believe in something like that? Why would you not want to believe in something that could potentially change your life for the better? just because shifting isn’t yet scientifically proven yet doesn’t mean it’s not possible or it’s not true. I mean think about how people reacted to the thought of lucid dreaming, the very idea of conscious awareness during sleep was considered impossible to measure but people believe it’s possible now. so why should you not believe in moving that conscious awareness to other realities? + i think it helps a lot to hear stories or feelings about one’s Dr if one has shifted. Because hearing experiences from others can give motivation yes, but it also fuels belief too.
the first method of recommend for beginners is probably the Julia method. even though i wouldn’t call myself a beginner, i love this method, it can be long but you just have to be patient with it and respect the process. I think this method can really connect you to your dr and your dr self easily.

guys so I was using the Julia method for shifting, and I decided to do it sitting up (I’ve always done it laying down) and I swear to god that was the closest to shifting I’ve ever gotten and was such an out-of-body experience

For Becker siblings au, @autumnfangirler' Cyrus and @villainsidestep' Fawn both have Ricardo instead of Julia and majority wins out in my head.
The funny part is I USED to have Ricardo for River - but he did NOT play nice with Ricardo. He would be insufferable to Ricardo - ESPECIALLY IF HE IS DATING HIS OLDER SIBLING.
Like, Ricardo showing up to take Fawn on a date and River opens the door energy caster in hand and gives him the shovel talk, calls him an old man, and invents creative new insults on the spot. It's not going to dissuade Ricardo from going on the date but River would try his damndest to get him to fuck off ahshdshd.
