A random TMA - related event from my art show last night:

I had submitted a lot of art for this show (it was my last one at my school because I'm graduating), including a lot of TMA art. Now, every year, we have a guest judge, and this year's judge happened to bring his partner, who was an archivist. One of my former art teachers had called me over to talke to them, and she had mentioned my art because she was happy that someone knew what an archivist was. Now, I thought she saw this art of Helen:

It's not too questionable for a non-fan ig. People who had no idea what the podcast was said the perspective looked cool.

But no. No, no. Instead, she saw this (a last minute submition to fill out space on my board):

She added in a joke/reference, saying she hoped she wouldn't have to give up her skin. I was in shock for a minute and had to quickly explain that it was from TMA and how it was a horror podcast, and the idea was from another fan on Tumblr, ect, etc.

She said that she would check it out and walked away with the judge as they continued to explore the rest of the artwork at the show.

So...

I may have gotten another person into the podcat

Or

Scared someone away from the podcast

And I don't know which 😭

Bird identification is so fucked up in a really fun way you can’t understand until you get into it. For example, there is a type of goose called the cackling goose that looks exactly like a Canada goose except smaller and “cuter”. The cackling goose is way, way, more rare in most places than its relatively common cousin, so it’s on tons of birders life lists. Everyone wants to see a cackling (look in any bird ID group to see lots of hopeful people posting petite Canada geese). The two species regularly commingle, so sometimes a flock of those common parking lot birds will have the equivalent of a Pokémon shiny just hanging out in the middle of them.

How ridiculous and fun is that? I can never look at a big group of Canada geese without scrutinizing their ranks for an adorable little extremely rare cutie pie cackling goose. It reminds me a bit of mushroom harvesting minus the risk of death if you get it wrong

But when the argument "Zeus has numerous affairs and many children because he represent the fertile rain" is brought up, all nuance is suddenly out of the window and Zeus is just a womanizer who can't keep it in his pants.
