I give you: The Navigator’s Map of Shanties for the Weary Voyager!

So my husband got the idea to make a timeline map of my Shanks x Makino series ("Shanties" for short), so that readers could better see how the different fics are connected, and while I should have been prepared, knowing full well how brilliant he is, I was not prepared for the end result. I mean look at it!!!

Some descriptions of key fics and planned updates below! The fics are listed in the recommended reading order on AO3, but feel free to chart your own course! Beware rogue whirlpools and dangerous straits, and remember that however dark and treacherous the sea, at the end of the voyage is always a safe harbour ♥

Hoist the colours! 🏴‍☠️

Heed the Siren’s Call // Shanks and Makino’s origin story, and the starting point of Shanties. Setting is pre-series to the timeskip.

Sailor's Folly // Siren's Call from Shanks' perspective. Includes the origins of Makino's sword, Siren.

Sea Songs // Sequel to Siren’s Call, set during the canon timeskip and after.

Scylla // Pirate!Makino AU, where Makino leaves East Blue with the Red-Hair Pirates at the start of One Piece.

Charybdis // Sea Songs AU, where Blackbeard destroys Fuschia and Makino goes on a trek across the Grand Line looking for Shanks, who thinks she's dead.

Mnemosyne // Kuja!Makino AU, where after Siren's Call, a pregnant Makino ends up on Amazon Lily.

Andromeda Unbound // Reverie Arc AU, where Makino, the Revolutionary Army, the Red-Hair Pirates, Straw-Hats and the Warlords join forces to crash Shanks’ execution.

On the Water // Pirate!Makino AU, where Makino and her child leave East Blue with the Red-Hair Pirates after the timeskip. Includes Shanks and Makino's floating bar, Siren's Call.

Salt Vows // Arrested!Makino AU, set during the current Egghead arc.

Tethered to Kinder Shores // Makino and the Red-Hair Pirates. Includes the origin of Makino's shanty, "Moored to Her Port".

Moon and Her Maiden // Selkie AU. Canon OP verse but Makino is a selkie.

Tideswept // Royal/Arranged Marriage AU.

Bind Me to the Tide // Soulmate AU, where soulmates feel each other's pain. Canon OP verse but with soulmates.

Love In Good Liquor // One-Shot collection set during the different Shanties verses.

Guys they reintroduced Galapagos tortoises to espanola island and they’ve essentially terraformed their environment, knocking over invasive plants so that endangered albatrosses (who need space to take off using the ground as a runway) have returned and established nests!

I did a writing prompt and placed it in my Paracosm. The prompt is: write a story where your character is traveling a road that has no end. (The story takes place in The Kingdom of Silver.)

“Don’t go down the road at night.” My Mothers voice rang through my head as I ran down the road with the sun setting.  My great grandmother says the previous King, before our Godly Internal King, made a pack with an Ancient God and gave that God this road to prey upon; my classmates call this road The Death Road and that a feral god, that has escaped the Royal Knights, hunts the road. Trees snapped on either side of me as I continued to run, my heart raced and my breath became ragged as something very large made its way onto the road. It’s feet rumbled the ground as I ran. Tears streamed down my face as the sun fully ste, Ancient God or Feral, I was gonna die. I’ll die on this road. A fire appeared on the side of the road, my lungs were in pain and my body was aching bad. A weather torn man stood up beside the fire.

“Keep running!” He called out, terrified I did. I didn’t stop until the stars started to shine. My whole body was on fire, I bent over hands on my knees and tried to calm my breathing.  Once I got my breathing under control I looked around, whatever was following me was gone. My eyes caught a sign and I couldn’t help smiling, it was Mr Mush’s bathhouse sign. I was close to home so I started moving again. My mom and great grandmother would be worried. I will walk in, my mom would pull me into a hug and my great grandmother would hurry over with her “Evil be gone” tea and she’ll force it down my throat. I hate the taste of that tea but right now… It will be a welcomed relief to taste it. I ran towards the trail that leads to the house but once I try to leave the road my body halts. I try to move forward but can’t, I am able to move back but unable to get onto the trail. I look down the trail and faintly through the trees I can see a light through the windows of the house. A lump forms in my throat, their up and waiting for me. The 2 people left of my once big family. Are waiting for me.

“I should have cut through the woods, I should have watched the time better, I shouldn’t have left the house this morning. I’m sorry mamas. I’m sorry. Please don’t mourn for me too long.” The lights from inside the house vanished, either the candle died or someone blew it out. So I continued down the road. A fire appeared in the distance, again, on the same side of the road. I stopped infront of the fire.

“Hello sir.” The weathered torn man, sat there looking up at me. He was very old, its surprising that he is alive. 

“Hello Young One, you out ran the Feral God I see.” I shrugged in response.

“Why can’t people leave this road after sunset.”

“Because the road is curse.” 

“Okay? But I’ve never heard the one that your stuck on the road. Usually its about being hunted or having an infliction put on someone.” 

“Lost to time th story is. That generation is long gone.”

“Well I’m stuck on this road I have all the time in the world.”

“I was King of this Island cursed by an Ancient God for betraying it. My curse effects the road and those who step on it. You will die here within a week and I’ll continue to live, Young One do you understand. Keep walking till you die, I’m done talking.”

My book hasn't been well lately

I just started highschool and next week I'm turning 15, I don't know what to do anymore or if I can really end the book

I restarted it recently (again) because I didn't liked how it was going, I ended the characters pages and I have just one problem, which is how do I call a character

I have the designs and everything, the only thing I can't do is end the book

To whoever is reading this, if you want to see the designs just press the like bottom or something, it would help me a lot to know that someone is actually interested in the idea :]
