Thinking about . Viper Witchers recalling their final trial and realizing they’ ve made companions and relationships with people they just can’ t abandon and they just sit and wonder like . How did I do it then ? What changed ? Do I still deserve my medallion ? And they try to disconnect themselves from their friends and close companions completely because that is what they were trained to do . A Viper is meant to be alone and no amount of care and affection and effort they’ ve put into others should change that . At the end of the day they should be able to kill the ones closest to them, if they must, without caring .

But they can’ t anymore . And they panic .

They do not recognize their healing as healing yet , and try to run away from it .

It’ s only when confronted , when they’ re forced to speak what they’ re thinking and experiencing , does it start to sink in . When their companions still stay and care for them after knowing . When they realize they don’ t feel compelled to choose between friend or school teachings .

They can let go of what they’ ve been told , what they’ ve been forced to learn , and not lose the dignity of being a Viper

supernatural pregnancy body horror as revenge, ......pregobor, black sun princess trauma and curses, apocalyptic monster fetus imagery, it's about women and violence against women and evil men suffering for inflicting that violence mostly, and also the evils of standing by and watching evil happen. also, yes stregobor is magical yucky bella swan pregnant and then bad stuff happens to everybody.

Jaskier demanding luxuries as a way to get geralt to indulge himself

He can't convince geralt to treat himself because of geralts "witchers don't want or need anything. Especially me" mentality.

But he can convince geralt that jaskier is a spoiled noble (he is, but that's not the point) and needs luxuries. And of course jaskiers going to demand geralt come with him, or also have some.

And geralt knows jaskier can rant for hours so to save himself the headache he just gives in. (Also he really does want to indulge, but needs to pretend he doesnt)

“Why did you stop?” Jaskier asked, sitting up in bed.

“Because you're not enjoying it,” Geralt answered, his voice calm but firm. Over the past few days, Jaskier had expressed a growing interest in being rougher in bed. Geralt had been hesitant from the start, knowing his witcher strength could easily harm the bard. But at the end of the day, Geralt just wanted to make Jaskier happy.

“No, I can keep going,” Jaskier said, wincing slightly but pressing on as if it didn’t bother him. He leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Geralt’s neck.

“I can already see a bruise forming,” Geralt said softly, trying to ease him away, but Jaskier persisted. “Jaskier, stop,” Geralt said more firmly.

“Did I do something wrong?” Jaskier asked, his voice unsure.

They can dress up and pretend to be humans in a costume

It's the one year they can taste what it's like to be normal, to exist as just another face in the crowd. No one's afraid of them, in fact they often get compliments on how realistic their outfits are.

And that's sweeter than any candy

Witchers always seem so unfazed no matter what they see or experience on the path. It's what leads people to believe they emotionless.

That's not true. They've just suffered so much worse, and seen unspeakable horrors already in their childhood, so they aren't shocked.

I put examples under the cut, but they are potentially triggering

Seeing a dead bloody body? 7 out of 10 boys don't survive the trials. Many of them were their friends.

Being attacked by bandits or angry farmers? Part of training was to be able to fight off several opponents, and they did not show mercy or hesitation no matter how young the trainee was

Eating disgusting food thats been served to him? At least they aren't fighting off another (also starving) boy for these scraps.

Verbal insults? Do you honestly think the trainers were gentle? Please be more creative with your insults

Being forced to sleep in the barn with the animals? Warmer than a cave atop a mountain where you are trying to survive a trial so you can earn your medallion

It makes complete sense, and they'd have severe PTSD. With the mages pumping them full of poison as children can you blame them?

The trials and pain and torture they suffered through as adolescents?

That stuff sticks with you forever, and would manifest in so many potential ways
