I feel like people overexaggerate how upset Chuuya was when Dazai become an executive before him. Sure, I could understand thinking that way after only reading dead apple/seeing the dhc, but stormbringer and 15 ln shows he only wanted to become an executive because of the files. He already knew the information he wanted to know in stormbringer, so I feel like he wouldn't be that upset?

Also I find it incredibly funny that the only reason Dazai wanted to become an executive was to outdo Chuuya.

DAZAI!

quick on his feet. He reads body language pretty well. he knows what to expect. His disadvantage is that he tends to project his own expectations onto others and this clouds his judgement. He is "intelligent" in the way thar he has a great capacity to improvise in tricky situations. He doesn't know everything he just always makes sure to have a plan B C D E F and G. Thats it

RANPO!

he knows all the facts about any given situation. His biggest disadvantages are that his judgement is shoddy at best and he doesn't always know what to do with that information. He is used to disregarding information for the sake of peace but that often means he ends up too close to the wrong people. He forgives EVERYONE he gives everyone a second chance. For as much as he sees the bad in a person he sees the good. He is unreliable and inconsistent. The good this about him is that as soon as he realizes his mistake he never makes it again.

POE!

JUSTTT as smart as Ranpo. He can GATHER as much information as Ranpo but it takes more effort. He has a lot of resources and technical know how. He knows technology, he knows politics, international law and most importantly people. His biggest advantage is that he knows exactly how to pressure people into doing what he wants. His mysteries are tailor made so that people can only escape when they realize what he wants them to. It is becuase of this that he saw society as a farce. That's why Ranpo and him are such a good team. Ranpo can see everything and Poe knows what to do with it.

Louisa!!!

She can slow down time when she's focused THAT'S her ability. She is capable of thinking of every possibility and coming up with dependable statistics. She's smarter than Dazai but less of an asset because her analysis relies on what she is aware of. In the world of BSD there is ALWAYS something no one is aware of. She isn't as capable of recovering quickly from a miscalculation so she really only has one shot.

Chuuya!!!

He doesnt need to use his intelligence most of the time because he can pretty much brute force his way out of most things. His intellegence relies on instinct. He has GREAT instincts. He knows when a situation has gone sour. Of course he doesnt usually verbalize it because with Dazai he doesn't need to and when he's alone why would he announce it to an enemy. He knows when he's safe and when he isn't. His biggest disadvantage is that he doesn't always listen to those instincts. In terms of priorities he almost always puts himself last and that leads to a lot of problems.

NIKOLAI!!!

Nikolai is similar to Chuuya except a bit more extreme because no one's life is his priority. His motivations are unclear and he always goes for the most imoral option. He isn't concerned with a specific desired outcome it is the inconsistency of his own actions that drive him.

FYODOR!!!

Kinda like Poe, in that he knows how to work people, but to a lesser extent and a little like the chameleon that Dazai can be but to a greater extent: he KNOWS people. He knows what a person wants more than anything and he promises that to them.

His biggest advantage is that he is smart enough to ally himself with people who have nothing else to live for. Sigma, Nikolai, Bram (before Aya), Nathaniel and Fukuchi are all outsiders. They are alone but desperately want to feel like they belong. Fyodors biggest disadvantage is that if those people find belonging elsewhere his influence on them shatters. He seems to be aware of that? Idk it's too soon to tell.

Mori!!!

He isn't crazy smart. He's just sadistic and cruel. He picks easy targets (children) and slowly takes away their agency. He undoes them until they have nothing to live for and they then become perfectly obedient adults. His biggest disadvantage is that he relies on the chain of abuse and that isn't sustainable as a dynamic for power. Chuuya and Akutagawa have no one above them to preassure them to listen to orders now that Dazai is gone. Also the extreme amounts of abuse he relies on is impossible to ditch out to EVERYONE. That's why he relied on the chain of abuse but that's failing. Mori isn't smart. He's a coward. He takes the shortest path no matter the resistance.

FUKUCHI!!

isn't smart either. He is just THE BEST chameleon. He hid in plain sight. He knows war and war tactics. He's a great spy and facilitating a strong bond with the target is a spy strategy.

They are not all the same stop conflating their perspectives as "knows everything". It leads to a lot of misunderstandings and a lot of misinformation. DAZAI IS NOT RANPO! He doesnt know everything. He's just really good at pretending he does.

"What is love, and how do you get rid of it?" Dazai doesn't typically feel any emotions, at all- or at least he can't understand them. He hates that Chuuya makes him feel emotions, specifically the emotion of love, so he in turn despises Chuuya for it instead.

And it's driving him crazy.

 "I won't let you get away this time." Chuuya is doing his best to get over Dazai, but as usual, nothing goes according to plan for him. No matter how much Chuuya tries to deny it or change them, he can't get rid of his feelings.

This. How many of us have gone crazy trying to analyze it? Yeah. I won't analyze the whole thing or else this post will be big as freak.

I want to focus on something particular.

These lovely cards. And the green light particles, or presumably light snow, Tanizaki's ability.

I have seen people say that Tanizaki and Atsushi will help Dazai somehow with the whole prison thing?? Which, doesn't make sense because both of them are in Yokohama.

Whatever Atsushi's and Tanizaki's job are, it's going to have to do with the Yokohama POV. Meaning, whatever card Fyodor is holding is most likely NOT Chuuya. Heck, Chuuya is already represented in the cover.

Here. That's Chuuya's representation in the cover with the Sheep's skull emblem, the red camellias and even the little crack. So the card, is not Chuuya. I'll gladly be proven wrong, though.

Back to what I was saying, Atsushi, Tanizaki and the card person will probably have nothing to do with the prison but will play a big role with the events in Yokohama. So, who is in the card Fyodor is holding? I don't know. I can sit and look at it zoomed and still not know, I just think I see a suit? Don't quote me on it.

I have a weird thought, Teruko Ōkura in chapter 99 asked Atsushi to meet Ranpo, so maybe, Tanizaki will create an illusion, just in case. The card that Fyodor is holding can very well be her but I'm not sure. Look, with the page having the rule "police won't believe ADA" and just because Tachihara broke out of it, means nothing since Tachihara was also in the Mafia, the Mafia isn't police and so, he accepted that part of him and it helped him see the truth.

"What about Saigiku Jōno?"

He was literally shown the truth about it, not the full one but it doesn't take a lot to figure it out. "Fukuchi is the bad guy, not the ADA." or something along those lines. He would be considered, faithfully blind if he couldn't see the situation for what it was, even if the page influences them.

Hey, I know this is gonna sound crazy(and it is) but just humor me for a little bit. Instead of just one or even two yanderes from Bungou Stray Dogs, what if the all main characters from the ADA and the Port Mafia were yandere for this poor girl who just wants to leave Yokohama but she literally can’t now with all of them on her tail. Female pronouns would be appreciated, thank you in advance!

Chances are the s/o in question was a foreigner and seeing someone like that in Yokohama is just bound to attract attention... Be it good or bad.

When she first met the Armed Detective Agency it was probably through Dazai's flirting, surprise, surprise. The girl was just minding her own business but Dazai being Dazai, he just had to make a move. The two hit it off and s/o eventually meet the rest of the agency - Atsushi is smitten almost instantly, how could he not be? He is actually talking to a really pretty girl and she is... nice! Kind! Patient! He's sweating like crazy and he is one of the first ones to form a crush, slowly blossoming into a delusional obsession. He knows he's nothing, he knows he's worthless but... Atsushi can't let that kindness get away from him, he's not that selfless. Ranpo is intrigued to say the least and his obsession is a slow burn but it will get there at some point. The longer he waits, the stronger his desire becomes. Kunikida is in furious denial of his feelings. No, he is not attracted to this random woman, she does not fit his ideals...! Stop looking at him like that, he is being serious!! Despite his denial, Kunikida keeps an extensive record of his s/o - her whereabouts, hobbies, likes, dislikes, the whole lot! Tanizaki pays no mind to s/o but he becomes more interested because of his sisters influence. Naomi is a sweetheart and it is so nice to have another girl around!~ Kenji is a sweetie, but you never did notice the dark glint in his eyes once your back was turned to him, did you? Yosano is openly flirty, but not quite like Dazai. She's a lot more subtle and her body language betrays her words. One look in her eye and you'd see that her jokes aren't all that easygoing... Dazai is shameless, plain and simple. He states his affections proudly and openly but s/o doesn't take him seriously because of how dramatic he is. He might look innocent but out of everyone he is one of the most intense yanderes s/o would have to deal with. Things will heat up even more once the Port Mafia gets involved.

Chuuya's a flirt but he is not like Dazai. He is a lot more ernest and just downright sweet. He makes it clear from the start that if you decide to be his lady, he will treat you like royalty, no questions asked. Elise probably saw you before Mori did and that's how he grew fond of you - Elise wanted you by her side, how could he ever turn down her requests?! He had his own motives though aside from Elise's whining... Kaji is over the moon and is flashy as Hell when it comes to his affections. Akutagawa is downright pissed that you're such a massive distraction for him. Gin loves you but please, don't force her to say it out loud, she might just die from blushing... Yet another thing she has in common with her brother. Higuchi says that she hates you, but that's a lie and everyone knows it. She is needy and it shows...

So just imagine the Hell you'd cause by trying to leave Yokohama. The city might as well be destroyed the moment someone sees you gone! This is one of those times when the two organisations will have to work together, even if they really don't want to. The moment one side gets to you, you can bet they'll stab the other in the back. This would also be the perfect chance for any outsiders to sneak in or make a move... Fyodor's a rat and he knows it. So imagine him getting the info about the ADA and the mafia hunting down this one little girl? How amusing!~ Or perhaps the Guild will snatch you up first who knows... Or, if you're really unlucky, the Hunting Dogs might just be forced to step in and set things back in order.

Remember one thing and one thing only: no matter what you choose, it will be the wrong choice.

Tsurugi is like my no 1 reason for getting back into Servamp, I left right in the middle of his arc and I ;-; IS HE OKAY??? DID HE GET AWAY FROM TOUMA??? DID HE BECOME WRATHS EVE??? NOBODY TELL ME I’LL FIND OUT ON MY OWN.

4. Izaya Orihara from Durarara

Ah yes, the og queen bitch. Has my taste for villains ever recovered from Izaya? No. If your villain isn’t at least a bit like Izaya I’m not interested. Durarara was one of my first serious fandoms and Izaya was the first character I ever wrote for and I think you can explain me as a person if you consider Izaya was my all time fav at 13. I can’t really say anything about Izaya that hasn’t been said thousands of times before, I love how goofy and overperformative he can be, I love how there’s so much in him once you crack him open, I love how good of a villain he is for a messy story such as DRRR, puppeteer villains are really a league of their own. We need more puppeteering twinks, maybe then I’d be more into villains yaknow.

3. Hawks from Boku no Hero Academia 

To no ones surprise!Him! I’ve been drifting off from BNHA recently what from catching bad case of JJK what from just reading n watching more other stuff and honestly that’s probably good because I’ve been into BNHA for a couple of years now as my main fandom and I really could have used a break. Not to say I don’t like BNHA anymore tbh I think right now BNHA is the best it’s ever been just ya know, drifting. That being said my love for Hawks will never die, god what a good boy and we got his backstory too aaa ;-;. BNHA was just like Servamp, something I liked but didn’t really have a fav character in until this random support character strolled in and won my heart. God I love how much we got on Hawks. He’s completely different from his initial impression and his unrelenting strive to do good despite being thrown from one horrible situation to the next is just ;-; HES SUCH A GOOD BOY. He’s selfless to a fault, literally putting everyone before himself and putting himself down for not being able to achieve more than is humanly possible I’m just ;-; I WANT HIM TO BE HAPPY. He just makes my heart happy, he’s good and warm and hardworking and in a manga where trauma plays such a major role in so many characters it’s so good to see Hawks there, having been through three different types of hell and still coming out unnerving in his goodness. All I want for him is to have a good life and to one day be able to smile for real.

2. Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu Kaisen

Again no surprise since I’ve been so into jjk lately. Satoru is p high up rn cuz I’m mainly into JJK now but god knows where he will actually settle. He’s not even really my favorite character in the show, that goes to Inumaki, but this is a list of who I think about the most (tho all of these characters are either no 1 or no 2 for their shows) and boy my brother and foxy can tell you I’m constantly thinking about this bitch. I didn’t really care about him that much at the start but then I got to Hidden Inventory and OH BOY MUCH TO THINK ABOUT. Satoru is such a wonderfully complex character whos evolution you can clearly follow through the years. He’s under so much pressure as the strongest sorcerer to deal with everything and he has to operate in that system trying to change it for the better while at the same time trying to make sure his students arent sacrificed in the name of that change. He has a very goofy disposition but along side with Nanamin who’s a lot more explicit about it, it’s clear he cares about mental state of his students a whole lot. He knows this world is terrible and that the will come out of it with scars and that he can’t protect them from all of it, but he balances protecting and letting them grow as much as he can. They need to grow so jujutsu society can change after all, but they also need to be protected so they don’t fuckin die before that can happen. This is without all the many many opinions I have on Hidden Inventory and SatoSugu as a whole, how they influenced each other, how differently they reacted to their shared trauma (Funny how everyone on this list is fuckin traumatized) and what resulted from it. How their fucking love story is dramatic enough to be a Shakespeare play. Also I like it when he’s long and goofy ahahah

1. Chuuya Nakahara from Bungou Stray Dogs

If there is ever a day when I don’t go feral over Chuuya I’ll probably be dead. He not only lives in my head rent free he owns the place.

HES SO UNDERUSED.

BSD has such a great setup with Chuuya, like he’s ex partners with the mentor of the main character who got betrayed and abandoned when the mentor left shared evil organization. Sounds like grounds for drama right? YOUD THINK SO. Like Chuuya and Dazai have such a great and interesting dynamic and you can feel how strained it is from the distance and betrayal and they bicker and fight as their defining relationship trait BUT there is such a strong underlying trust to all the fighting. These two trust each other with their whole lives and that hasn’t changed despite everything, despite how much time has passed and how much that trust had been tested. So you’d think he’d be an important character :) HES STUCK IN SUPPORT HONESTLY HES STUCK IN BACKGROUND UNLESS HES NEEDED TO DO SOMETHING COOL AAAAAA. Chuuya is literally one of a kind, I’ve never seen a character with such a good design and such an cool power and such an interesting relationship to one of the main characters and such a love and support from the fandom BE SO UTERLLY AND COMPLETLY WASTED. Even when we get Chuuya scraps they rarely build on relationship he has in canon but just throw in new random ones at him (tho that’s a broader problem of Kafka throwing new characters at the plot instead of developing the one he already has really). We get a hint of a cool fight with him? Completely cut out, More often then not it just feels like he is benched because he’s so damn strong there would just be no plot tension if he went in and broke some heads (which is also a problem with Satoru, guys stop writing op characters if you’ll just put em on the bus aaa). Anyway he’s completly and utterly wasted by the plot.

And it’s such a waste because he’s such a good character. Like he’s a member if the villain organization and is obviously by that very vicious and violent but also so empathetic and kind to people he considers his friends. He and Dazai have the brawn and brain thing going on and stg Chuuya is like the only brawn I can think of that is classier then their brain. Look at how this guy dressed, he’s high class gay, hat, choker, coat, gloves, he is bringing in the looks. I love how he can actually be completely calm and rational and put together but then put him with Dazai and it’s back to ‘we are 15 and we will scream out heads off at each other’, they are so childish. 

Anyway I love Chuuya he deserves to be treated better and I will never stop screaming about Chuuya ever

So, I've seen people saying that the season finale was so ridiculous and outrageous and it's like, man, they couldn't be more in character if Chuuya wrote it himself. There's a reason why one of the fanfics that I remember the most and that seems most canonical to me is one where Chuuya found out that some guy was impersonating Dazai for his heartbeat, that's the kind of stupid and super specific thing what they know about the other

The season finale WAS ridiculous and outrageous, which is why it was so perfect! BSD is a crazy mishmash of so many different genres and styles of literature, so it's bound to be insane with how many influences it has! Sure the vampire fake-out robbed some potential Chuuya-identity-and-control angst, but the contribution to Dazai's growth and Soukoku's dynamic is invaluable.

I know the exact fanfic you're talking about, and it's one of my personal favourites because Dazai and Chuuya are self-admittedly so obsessed with each other, that's absolutely the sort of thing Chuuya would know for god-knows-what reason.
