day 12- illusion

I find it hilariously passive-aggressive that Fiyero, Boq, the lion, and Dorothy really went to the Wizard to ask for a brain, a heart, courage, and a way home, four things that the Wizard himself doesn’t even have.

A brain? No. He couldn’t even do the “oh this powerful green woman’s age = time since I last saw a woman and gave her a mysterious magical green beverage + 9 months” math.

A heart? Don’t make me laugh. Elphaba pleads with him multiple times to care more about the Animals than his own power and he remains unmoved, he has no problem killing Nessarose to get to Elphaba, and honestly, if I were to list all the reasons the Wizard doesn’t have a heart, we’d be here all day.

Courage? He spends his days hidden behind microphones, tricks, and illusions. Even when he regrets his actions in the musical, he doesn’t even have the courage to try to clear his daughter’s name or admit to his crimes.

A way home? You might think he has this, but he doesn’t. Elphaba and Galinda popped his hot air balloon in the movie, as far as I know, the Wizard never gets back to Nebraska in the books, and in the musical, he runs off stage, but it’s never confirmed he made it back to Nebraska or that he has any way to do so since he’s not magical and has no idea what brought him to Oz in the first place.

how are you so in love with yourself...this is not me accusing you of narcissism or smth i genuinely am in awe of how much you seem to like yourself and be in love with yourself and I try so hard to be like you and do that too but i fail every single time...i really really want to know how I could be like this too because i know it is one of the biggest things stopping me from achieving happiness

Not sure if this is a ubiquitous experience, but for me personally affirmations can only go so far. There’s always been a direct correlation between me doing action-based things and my self-esteem increasing, so I try to keep my promises to myself (study at x time, work out at y time, just doing whatever I need to do even if I don’t have the motivation for it). Someone told me that self-esteem comes w doing esteemable things, and I’ve never forgotten that since. What someone thinks about me (including the gargoyle voice in my head lol) won’t faze me if I have tangible accomplishments under my belt I can refer back to on bad days

Honestly, it might not be everyone's thing but the thought of sweet, domestic free use makes me purr 😵‍💫

Just the thought of baking in the kitchen with some quiet music playing that you can't really hear when the mixer is running. Wearing a cute little dress with an apron on top, knowing that your husband has been enjoying the way the hem flutters just above your knees.

Bucky's always been full of compliments but never more so that when you're making him his favourite sweet treats. He appreciates you. All of you.

"Such a good little wife for me." He's been sitting at the kitchen table, waiting for your mixer to finish incorporating the dry ingredients into your chocolate brownie batter.

With your back to him, he can't see the smile that tugs at the corners of your lips. He can't see the joy you feel at being able to show him how much you love him.

"You're so gorgeous, do you know that?" He's already crossed the space between you, standing behind you and trailing his lips up your neck.

"No, I took them off before you got back." Somehow he likes that answer more. They came off just for him.

His tip has no trouble slipping inside you, followed quickly by the rest of his length. You're almost embarrassingly wet just from knowing that he was looking at you.

See Frieren x Himmel is canonically doomed and that's part of the overall narrative, Frieren will outlive almost everyone she ever meets but she slowly starts to build more and more relationships in spite of that and Himmel was one of the biggest catalysts in her changing in this way

But they also have this "this is how it can still win" vibe to it because Frieren is literally traveling to the afterlife specifically to visit Himmel, and along the way she's changing and very slowly embracing love in all these different forms from the people around her, one of which was from Himmel

So it's doomed but it still feels like they'll definitely have a happy ending too, it's an interesting dynamic

Wanted to put together a fun little visual :D I realized that I can't really remember a large period in my life when I wasn't drawing comics. It basically feels like as soon as I started drawing I started making stories ^^ So, here are a few of the comics I've worked on over the years! Burning Spice's body ended up really injured just before they were sealed away, and Shadow Milk saw it. Without the complete souljam, he wasn't sure if Burning Spice would recover completely.

So, the moment the seal opened, he left for the Light of Abundance. Now to deliver it back to Beastyeast! On foot! Without a map because apparently, his host is incredibly recognisable! He definitely remembers the way he took on the way over, just wait a bit longer Burning Spice!
