Letterology Types

So, lycanloc has a few layers. The most obvious one, I'm pretty sure, is that it looks like the name of the Pokémon Lycanroc. And that's the point! Lycanroc is genuinely one of my favorite Pokémon, especially the Dusk form, so I decided why not incorporate it?

Now, why did I go for lycanloc instead of just lycanroc? Well, for one, lycanroc is probably already taken as a username in most places. But there's actually more to why I went with Loc as well. I actually use Loc as a name, so combining my favorite Pokémon and a name I use online sounds perfect, especially when it comes this well.

BUT! There's also lore behind the name Loc too! You see, when the L is lowercase, it looks like an uppercase i. This is relevant because me and my partner call each other icing and cake as pet names (I call them cake they call me icing), so I decided to have IcingOnCake as a secondary handle, although I really only use it on discord and maybe a fighting game if I have too. (Would've named my CKR kingdom that if I knew it was meant to be a username 😭). So, if you use the initials and capitalize the i, it looks like the name Loc. Seriously, look at the comparison. Ioc vs loc.

Now, prior to that, I used the handle roxsicle, but that was before I actually used Tumblr. I asked for food nicknames and was given the nickname Popsicle and since Roxas was my favorite Kingdom Hearts character, I just mixed Roxas and Popsicle together. Works well with the sea salt ice cream being popsicles too.

That’s how it started out initially actually! I went by Lunarur for a while until I had to create a new art account on Instagram but my username was taken so I just started going by İunarur because the uppercase i looked like a lowercase L. This trick worked well on my twitter but less so on Instagram so I just embraced it lol.

I wouldn’t say that there is a right way to read or pronounce my name since I use the L and the i interchangeably, but the most common way to read it is Lunarur (and that’s how I pronounce it too).

Also, my signature still incorporates the L, so I’ve been thinking about just... adding a dot on top of the L

v/k/t is back again?

So yeah, I think I found v/k/t's newest account, l from earth. They seem to be laying lower than last time, but it's still evident that they are the same person. Here's what I've gathered as proof:

1. Same aesthetic. If you've observed any of their posts/dragon bios/etc, you've become familiar with their distinctive style. Small lowercase letters, minimalist, earthy/naturey. They've got a taste for natural-colored g1s and UMAs. Just like on their previous account, k/t, they don't use a forum vista—an unconventional choice. Perhaps to make them seem more like an actual newbie?

2. The new username itself is the exact same as one of their old dragons., and it's not a common one. I don't know if anyone else remembers that dragon, but it was a yellow-brown G1 female pearlcatcher. 

3. Their clan profile contains the same basic info as in past accounts. v/k/t/l (what a mouthful lol) has a habit of constantly changing their clan profile format, but it always contains their pronouns, a link to their quests/wishlist, and some version of the phrase, "my ip and device changes." They have not created a new identity for themselves as of now.

4. They have much more knowledge of the site than a true newbie would. Despite the account being made less than a week ago, (today being oct. 24) they've already begun to seek out not only G1s, but UMAs. It's the same behavior as last time with k/t, only this time they've waited a couple days as opposed to just one.

None of this is as painfully obvious as the last time t/v/k/l tried to make a new account, but it's enough to convince me. I understand if they're trying to get a new start, and wish them well. There's just something off about making an apology claiming you're leaving for good and then returning with yet another account?? Anyhow, I'd just remain wary of them, that's all.

I kinda end up using "Danl" as my Retro Videogames Name, due to a memorable spelling mistake. (D A N L, not D A N I) I actually still have trouble with writing capitals and lowercase in the wrong places, but it was just really hilarious that i managed to mispell my own damn name!

So i ended up using that name for my virtual console playthru of Yellow, even tho the original mistake actually happened in a gba game called Dokapon (totally unrelated)

I actually kinda think it might be a cool fantasy name tho? Like maybe spell it Danell or Danyl? If i ever finally play d&d that could be my tieflingsona XD

A less fun semi related trivia is that i can never call myself Dani anymore. It kinda sucks cos Dani/Danny is a more gender neutral version of my name than Dan which is more masculine. But it was what my abusive father and mother called me so it kinda triggers the fuck out of me, even when i just hear someone else called dani. I've tried to get used to Danny instead but the diffferent spelling doenst help much. a warning regarding trades

I DONT really know if this blog is super suitable for me to be talking about this, seeing as this blog mostly just hosts drama between players, but i don't really know if the goatlings forum has a suitable subforum for it either, so i just thought i'd come here

please be very very careful when trading, especially when you're awaiting offers on trades that are directed towards specific people (say, you have the trade info as "@[username]"), i was nearly scammed by somebody who had a VERY similar username as the person i was waiting to offer on my trade has (isharewaffles), however one of the letters was slightly altered in order for them to have a similar username (they have a lowercase "L" within their name, so the scammer changed theirs to a capital "i" so it looked like a lowercase "L", and the goatlings font makes it look exactly the same)

the real isharewaffles offered me around 7 million SS for a retired AD, and when i checked the offer the scammer made there was 0 SS and an item that comes with every newbee package

this may be just an isolated incident, but i'm putting a warning out there just to be sure, because people making alternative accounts with similar usernames to trick traders into giving them really rare shit for free can very well happen with multiple other trades in the future.

isharewaffles informs me that they trade a lot also, so this is a warning for anybody that might trade with them in the future to PLEASE be sure they are accepting offers from the real person
