Tbh the Legend of Baskerville theme from this series is a total banger, and considered a love theme (by me). Go listen to it on youtube now!(minute 25:55)

Having a lot of thoughts on the Baskerville episodes from this series being the most mysterious and entertaining (to me), especially as a kid, due to the soundtracks, almost complete absence of Sherlock, sudden change of setting to the countryside, etc., etc.

The last time i rewatched it though, they just appeared to me too long, but its probably because i was busy drawing throughout the sequence. I have to re-check sometime soon.

Since Watson is canonically an unreliable narrator, anything could have plausibly happened behind the closed doors of 221B. He doesn't tell us readers everything. Any sort of twist could have happened during a case that he couldn't write for the public... Like all those times he kissed Sherlock Holmes.

07x01 The Three Gables

There is so many great things in those scenes, it was really hard to sum it up in a few gifs. This little hand of Holmes at the beginning, he's abrupt reaction to Mrs Hudson's words, covering her in his blanket, entering the estate with agitation, his little smile when he heard that Watson had his breakfast - because it means his husband is well, right? Don't get me started on "Physician, heal thyself" and the pat on the arm, it cracks me up so much. Holmes is absolutely feeling for his partner in need but he doesn't really know how to behave.

Absolutely love it when fics have Holmes trying to play off an injury as less serious than it actually is, but let's be real - that man is dramatic. If he was a dog, he'd be the type to fake a paw injury for extra treats and attention but forget which foot he used.

“I don’t discriminate on such things.”

Watson pushes you down to remain on the bed. “I need to bind it. How’s your pain?”

“Tolerable. Unless…”

“No—“

“Then do not ask.”

Your good doctor had kept you in bed, elevated foot and everything for far too long now. It had been nearly an hour.

There’s tea on your cupboard. Extra sugars. And the very best biscuits, the one Watson hoards for the longest of days.

“Watson?”

They hum a soft sound, an acknowledgment, as they bind your broken appendage with steady and careful hands.

“If I am forced to endure monotony, I shall demand you do it with me.”

Watson looks at you, over those steady shoulders. A small smile across their lips. “I shall remain by your side. For as long as… as you need me, Sherlock. I can promise you that.”

not to be insane about Them again but I was just thinking that actually... Watson doesn't know all that much about Holmes, or at least, that's how it comes across in the text. He doesn't know about Holmes's past or his family life. And (as far as we know) he doesn't pry. He just kind of accepts it.

He obviously wants to know though. It's obvious in his excitement when Holmes tells him about a past case, or takes him to meet Mycroft. But Watson is the perfect example of Minding Your Own Buisness. He doesn't ask because he knows his questions wouldn't be welcome with someone like Holmes. I honestly think thats why Holmes takes to him like he never has with anyone before. Watson lets Holmes have his privacy and doesn't judge him for it.

And it shows that you can love, trust and admire someone completely without knowing absolutely everything about them. They make me insane, your honour.

Hello! Has been eager to share my piece from Holmestice with y’all. A present for @oui_oui! We were supposed to keep it a secret but, since the reveals were posted, i figured i might as well show mine here.

Thats was my first and quite joyful experience with Holmestice, would like to join the event like that next year! Thank you to people who are making such things, it is very nice and keeps the community connected to each other in a way, and that’s lovely.
