they remind me v specifically of the silly symphony cartoon where a very devil-adjacent hades kidnaps her but lets her go cause he cant stand to see her sad

probably because this persephone feels very similar to snow white, coming from a similar time in animation and all that

Anyway, I love that Disney short film. Snow White and Hades definitely remind me of it too.

As my friend said to me, “it's a small world” because it's funny that you mention The Goddess of Spring and it's animation because I was going to make a post about the fact that the 1934 Silly Symphony short film served as an experimental workshop for Disney animators, preparing them for Snow White!

So basically, Persephone is Disney's first (lesser-known) princess who came before Snow White.

You know it's bad when more and more people are starting to realize how bad LO is. I recently watched a video from a YouTuber called Jack Vs Webtoon and he has two videos on it. The first one was about how LO is the "Twilight" of Webtoon, and the second was about the art style. Everyone has their own art style, but the art style in LO or at least in the later chapters don't cut it. The art style looks more like concept art for an animated movie, whether it's hand drawn, computer animated, or stop motion. The worst offender was chapter 245. Especially when Leuce ran out of her room freaking out and Persephone getting in her face. Their arms were beyond noodle arms. Disney's "The Goddess Of Spring" had better noodle arms for both Persephone and Hades, and that was an experimental film to animate realistic human movements and designs. Hell, that was made in 1934!

I just found (or maybe refound) Disney's (1934) The Goddess of Spring

i somehow remember it so clearly but also have no memory of watching it ever.

A few months ago, I was talking to my friends about snow white and i asked them about the scene where "someone takes snow white to underground and it's full of fire" and they told me that never happened. İ searched for the "scene" and (obviously) couldn't find it.

Then, like an hour ago, I decided to watch a video about "feminist greek myth retellings" and the goddess of spring was playing in the background
