lowkey obsessed with how this parallels lucrezia climbing into cesare’s bed (even his initial reaction is basically the same before it diverts into flirting instead of cesare’s failed attempt at using his 1/2 a brain cell to get lucrezia to leave his bed), and the suggestion of marriage is also a parallel! hell, even the fact that it would be incest is a parallel— albeit this is slightly more distanced incest than sibcest being they are cousins, but i do find it humorous nonetheless.
