Harley and Ivy meet Jazz while she's Interning at Arkham, and think she's their daughter from the Future. Somehow.

They're not wrong.

Turns out the Fentons decides to test a Prototype Ghost Portal one day 18 years ago and accidentally made a Time Portal instead. Deeming the experiment a Failure, they were just about to close it and start again when a Baby was launched out of it and into Jack's arms.

The moment he looked into her Eyes he knew he wanted to keep her. Maddie was much the same.

They did Try to return her at first, but turns out the Portal was Unstable and constantly shifting between dozens of different TimeZones, so they could never find where/when she came from. She could either be from Earth 18 years later, or Mars 5 Million Years Ago. No way to tell.

So without any other option they decided that she was their Daughter now.

It helped that she looked so much like them, and that both had been in the Lab for 9 Months straight building the Portal so nobody would question the sudden Baby. They just told the Hospital they had an At Home Delivery and officially made her their Daughter.

They raised her believing that she was their's Biologically, because after a while they honestly forgot she wasn't.

Now Jazz is working as an Intern at Arkham Asylum, and has met the 2 Patients she will be helping take care of.

Doctor Pamela Isley, and Doctor Harleen Quinzel. Aka, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn.

This should be an interesting internship.

Rafayel ☆ Decorating Nursery

Rafayel has an artistic vision for his baby's nursery, and you are letting him have full control (since he also does not want you to exert yourself in your delicate condition despite your protests that you are fine)

Boy or girl, the nursery is getting painted in pink. Very soft, soothing colors all around from paint choice to decorations.

One wall will be a focal point, and he will paint a mural of Lemuria, a reminder of this baby's heritage. Lemuria still lives on in this baby.

He will decorate the nursery with mementos of you and him.

All of the plushies he won for you will be displayed proudly on shelves.

"They can watch over the baby as he or she sleeps," he explains while meticulously organizing them.

By the crib, on top of a long dresser, there will be a few more plushies and also the fish nightlight you have.

There is also a jar he has prepared filled with only seashells you both have collected on your daily walks during your pregnancy.

He wants to be able to someday tell stories to his child and let them know how loved they were before they were even born.

The shells also, in a way, symbolize these final intimate moments of just you and him. Soon, you both will have new company joining you on your walks and making memories together.

There is an undeniable, unspoken bittersweetness to this thought, but you both know the new memories as a family will be beautiful. Walking along the shore together, playing in the sand, letting the baby touch the water...all of these moments he wants to collect like the seashells you find together.

He has a custom music box, shaped like a clam, made that plays The Deep Sea

It will be like falling asleep under the cool, dark ocean in an underwater grotto with dreams of an ancient civilization from long forgotten tales.

When he is done painting and decorating, he is excited to show you every little details. He also wants you to be honest. Anything you don't like, he will change in a heartbeat.

There is nothing. It's all perfect, and you tell him so.

"Really?" He asks with a frown. "Are you sure? It's alright if there are things you don't like. I want you to be honest with me, cutie."

You promise him you are. He smiles, excited to show you the other new things in the room.

He shows you the nursing chair near a window, overlooking the sea. As he helps you sit down, you can hear the sounds of waves crashing on the shore. It feels so tranquil in here, you realize.

He kneels next to you, his sweet face resting on the arm rest as he smiles at your reaction.

"I want both you and the baby to feel at peace in here. I want it all perfect for my two cuties."

i know everyone likes to put tharja in the "yandere goth girl" category but tbh i feel like pigeonholing her into one specific archetype does a huge disservice to her character. is she obsessed with curses and robin? yes. is she constantly shoved into a fanservice role by intsys? absolutely.

but i think a lot of people forget just how impactful a lot of her supports are...there's something about tharja that makes nearly everyone who interacts with her divulge their deepest secrets and points of anxiety with her. we see this with libra, who tells her of the abandonment he endured at the hands of his parents. we see it with nowi, whose cheerful demeanor slips off as she tells tharja of her missing parents. and although tharja is not the only one lon'qu confides in regarding ke'ri, their support is notably the only one in which lon'qu divulges that there was romantic involvement between he and his childhood friend.

and despite her antisocial exterior, she always listens mindfully and offers to help! she even goes out of her way to discreetly help the shepherds (getting virion to do odd jobs that benefit civilians, interrogating henry to make sure he bears no ill will towards ylisse, etc).

a big thing about tharja is that she IS kind. she IS considerate. she just also has a reputation to uphold as a dark mage and that (paired with her overall awkwardness ofc) makes her true nature hard to see at first glance

I think a lot about how common it is for Raph to be the one to have direct focus put on him when Leo gets into all his near death experiences.

Like, when Leo is thrown off a building, it’s Raph who’s right there jumping after him, not even thinking about the consequences to himself when he does. When Leo almost gets skewered by the Krang, Raph’s right there to take the blow and send Leo to safety without a second thought. When Leo’s being strangled to near death, it’s a Krangified Raph doing the job, doing exactly what Raph would never, ever want to do. When Leo is telling Casey Jr to close the portal, it’s Raph who tries desperately to convince Leo otherwise.

Likewise, Leo is consistently very single minded when Raph gets forcibly separated from them. Both when in the sewers and by the Krang, Leo is dead set on finding Raph first and foremost.

I also think it’s interesting that during each of Leo’s near death experiences, the lightheartedness of his words during them goes directly hand in hand with both how close Raph is to him physically and how much danger Raph is also in in that moment. From a literal “I told you so” as Leo’s falling away from Raph to a soft joke about how “hero moves” are Raph’s style - both of these are on the more morbidly carefree side and both of these notably take Leo farther away from Raph and, in turn, have Raph not in immediate danger.

On the other side of things is the apology from Leo, heedless of the danger he himself is in as he seriously and genuinely speaks to a Krangified Raph face to face. Then there’s Leo’s freezing and desperation as Raph takes a hit meant for him and sends just Leo to safety, leaving Raph himself behind. Both of these involve much closer proximity and Raph being directly harmed - these together make Leo much more vulnerable in his words and actions, something not even the threat of death can make him.

These two care about each other so much, and they’re way too much alike for their own good.

The duality of being a Final Fantasy XV fan is loving the game deeply despite its flaws and at the same time being haunted and frustrated by What Could Have Been
