Thank you! Being kind of late to the Undertale party, a lot of my Undertale theories overlap with my Deltarune theories, so I've always sort of thought there was a separate "player" from the MC, and I thought it would be interesting to illustrate!

A New Venture

This... was weird.

He'd just popped into a Ring Portal to grab a Chaos Emerald, like he'd done a million times before, only instead of spitting him back out where he was, it brought him here... to a rooftop in a city he didn't even recognize.

Which was even weirder, because he'd run circles around the globe checking out everywhere he could for new sights to see, and he was sure he'd have seen a city as big as this before now.

"Never done that before..."

It did look somewhat familiar, bits and pieces did anyway. The highways of Station Square, parts of Westopolis, and one of those weird recurring dreams he used to have where he faced off against a oddly athletic plumber in the Olympics. Especially that last one.

After a moment, he just shrugged. It didn't really matter where he was, long as he could find his way back eventually. And in the meantime... he had a new place to explore!

"Eh, I'm sure it's fine. Might as well see the sights while I'm here."

"Here we... GO!!!"

He zipped off down the building, speeding around cars, running up walls, occasionally stopping to take in the big neon signs and watch people going about their day as he got the lay of the land. This place was HUGE! And it just kept going on for miles!!

After a few minutes of this, he figured it might be a good idea to ask around, see if anyone knew where a good chili dog place was, and maybe figure out the name of this place. So, he zipped over to the first person he saw, skidding to a stop and tapping her shin to get her attention.

"Excuse me-"

"Any idea where a hedgehog can get a bite to eat around here?"

"Huh?" Ren stared confused at his phone. Maybe he needed to get a new phone at this point, considering how often strange, otherworldly apps seemed to just appear out of no where.

That confusion only increased when he saw the messages in the app.

[Ren Ren]: Don't you think I should be asking you that? [Ren Ren]: Who are you and why are you texting me?

Gogo stopped herself, unable to find any fault in her mentor's words. She was just going to get herself into a spiral looking at all the comments made to her after she publicly denounced the Phantom Thieves. She put her phone down with a frustrated sigh.

"Did you have to deal with this too, senpai?"

On one hand, Naoto wanted to be direct and harsh on how being public and direct wasn't always the best decision to get attention. An outburst like that reminded her of her breaking the unspoken vow to not tell Inaba townspeople that the PD was. 

On other hand, Gogo was a person who had always been more blunt and as affected as she was by the harsh reality of the law industry both tried to flourish in. She personally disagreed on the direction she’d gone for in this case but a healthy degree of agreeing to disagree was and had been a staple for months for them. She needed someone to be the mentor in this duo team.

“...sadly, yes. I��ve had questions and speculation on such topics as my personal relations, if I’m going to get married or not and if I’m foolish for not using my former celebrity name and for several other topics. Sometimes people just don’t think your point is valid and jump to the gun." She mentioned that she’d done a similar harsh declaration back at her first case to get the attention and proceed in the case and she was dead certain that if Twitter had existed with more validity she would’ve been blasted online.

It pushed the fear into the doll’s heart when she visited Shujin High in time for the school festival, what seemed to be in high spirits because of the hype from the movie, would root out the Japanese girl that was responsible to her inconvenience for the past few weeks only to be called names and laughed at for being a poor depiction of a woman in the 21st century.

Barbie failed to understand the sinking feeling of being a disappointment while wiping the dam that seemed to breakout from the either side of her eyes, causing the Doll to runaway accidentally shoving a younger woman to the side that was trying to console her offering her their handkerchief following her to an empty classroom. “No, I’m not everything feels wrong here”, She sobbed in response nothing was safe here if it was, why was her heart felt constricted in pain from those words earlier.
