#the fact they're blocking access to information

when reaching out to fellow RPers about a potentially problematic author, actor, relevant public figure, etc. can we normalise providing proof. i say this because, if you decide to spread information that impacts someone's writing and creativity or chide someone for their choices, you need to remember:
not everyone is exposed to, or subscribed to, the same information outlets as you; this is a big, wide world after all.
people exist in different time zones, perhaps the news hasn't reached their respective country's news circuits. perhaps they're not even awake!
people exist in different countries. you never know if the outlet you know of is blocked in the country, you never know if this news is relevant to them. remember, we sometimes struggle to send youtube video links, let alone other things.
what is at the forefront of the news for you may not be the most important for others.
misinformation is rife, detrimental, and dangerous; as is miscommunication and misunderstanding.
the onus cannot be on the receiver to hunt down proof, sometimes they can't find it — possibly for the reasons listed in this post. if you reach out, unbidden and unsolicited, send your sources. not because you 'have to educate' them, but because (assumedly) you want to change their opinion/perspective from a genuine place.
and lastly: information accessibility isn't worldwide, and sometimes facts and opinions can become mixed.
and never, never look down on someone for not being aware of something that you are aware of !

🪲 for Puddle!
[Ask game]
🪲: What do they value most?
Definitely connections and reputation! This man thrives off of knowing everything about everyone at any moment, and he needs his good standings with everyone else to be privy to the newest drama on the block

@lilpepperspray
🌳: What are their life goals? Deputy, Leader, MedCat/Healer?
Puddle doesn't have any grand ambitions to be honest. He just wants to hang out and be a bit too nosy. In fact, he might already be living his dream just by virtue of being around a large group of people who have tons of interpersonal drama to angst about all the time lol

(I will do Fennelacorn later!)
😸: 3 fun facts!
- The reason he squints all the time is just that his eyes are really sensitive to light! He has a similar gene to that of the Topaz cat, which depigments the eyes specifically. That's also why they're such a pale blue and the pupils are all pink-ish! I imagine he probably has some level of visual impairment due to how intense the light sensitivity is, and his habit of squinting isn't helping that either
- He actually wasn't planning on staying in SporeClan long and really just came here to check the situation out. But after a while he decided he enjoyed it here so much that he settled down for the long haul!
- While, yes, he DOES enjoy himself some good ol people watching, a good amount of what his clanmates perceive as him staring at or watching them is honestly just him zoning out so unbelievably hard. Most of what he learns about others is by conversation, not actually by witnessing
💤: Are they a heavy or light sleeper? What are their dreams like?
Very, very light sleeper! In fact, so light of a sleeper that he can't fall asleep around loud sleepers. This leads to him being regularly found sleeping in hard to access and oddly out of the way places around camp by his clanmates
As for his dreams - I don't know! I feel like he'd probably be one of those people who just don't dream, or at least don't recall their dreams

(Thank you! :D His in game eye colour is blue!)
🐁: Favourite prey?
I think he'd really enjoy pheasant! It's kind of a rare treat and he gets to enjoy it with multiple clanmates
🕸: What does their family tree look like?
It's nothing really special :') He was born a single kit to town cats, either strays, kittypets or either or. He doesn't really talk with or about them. Good luck getting any information about them at all out of him though lol he's a man with a death grip on his secrets no matter how trivial they are!
🧹: Favourite and least favourite clan task/chore/patrol?
He would probably really enjoy changing out the bedding in the dens! He gets to eavesdrop and stay in dim, temperate conditions. What's not to love?
Now he isn't really one to complain, and he's generally happy so long as he has some form of company. So I think his least favourite activity would probably be something like hunting alone? Especially during winter where it's cold, it's bright and the prey is scarce.

So what I'm gathering is that in LR Persephone loses all memory when her eyes go red/ powers activate, hence her talking about lapses in memory to Hestia and not knowing why Minthe is mad at her. Is that right?
Saw you left two asks so I'm gonna respond to them both at the same time here if that's okay!!!
You're in the right ballpark, though I will give a little hint - she isn't really losing memory so much as she's not able to access those memories. There's a mental block happening there that we're going to get to the root of later.
That said, Hades does not know why Kore got the name Persephone. When he refers to the lapses in memory he's directly observed, he's referring to 1.) her lack of remembering how she wound up in his car the first time they met (she genuinely does not remember and chalks it up to blacking out from drinking too much), and 2.) her lack of remembering how she was able to subdue the shades in Tower 4 (and the specifics of why she waltzed in there to begin with). Though, I will say the latter is mixed between "she can't remember" and "she doesn't want to say" but the stuff she's omitting she still doesn't fully understand directly because of those lapses in memory that she's experiencing more frequently since moving to Olympus.
Even if she could recall following Withy into Tower 4 of her own volition, she doesn't know why Withy was there or why she felt inclined to walk into a restricted area against her better judgment. She's missing a chunk of time between when she entered and when Hades rescued her.
So when Hades says it's "just like last time" when she couldn't remember, he's specifically referring to the incident in which she wound up in his car and couldn't even remember the full details of what happened the night before:
(this is also why he's so offended and confused when she calls him "smelly" because the night before she had been talking to him as if she was genuinely interested in him and his unique brand of stink LOL)
Their chance interaction at the Panathenea was genuinely the first time they ever met and so the only information he has to go off of about her is what he's experienced first-hand since meeting her (and whatever assumptions he can make about a goddess who is the creation of Demeter).
There's not much else I can divulge at this moment for the sake of not spoiling what I have planned, but considering it's been fun to go more in-depth on this topic, I'll leave y'all with some final food for thought:
Kore and Hades are both written to parallel each other but in different ways throughout the story - one of those things is the fact that they're both unreliable narrators with skewed perceptions of their own pasts and their current realities, for different but similar-ish reasons that will become apparent in due time. Part of Kore's skewed perceptions are largely due to her lapses in memory that she will eventually piece together as her character arc progresses.
That's as much as I'll say for now though as I don't wanna spoil anything else for y'all, but I hope this clears up any confusion and gives you something fun to think about! Thanks so much for reading! <3

A Condensed Summary of the Latest Minion 👀 Anon Incident
Hey gang, Flowergothic here
Now that I’m home and have the time to write this all out, I’m going to explain the whole 👀 anon saga.
Be warned: it gets weird FAST
At around nine this morning, I got this ask in my inbox:

Now, I don’t like to spread misinformation. I normally sass people who try to feed me lies. But the specific timeframes mentioned here made me more suspicious than usual.
So I made this post asking for more context:

About an hour passes. I get this in my inbox:

Let’s break this down:
1. Anon and her mom were invited to watch Emilia Perez, a movie notorious for bringing rightfully criticized by the Mexican populace, because her mom is from Mexico City. What?
2. Despite ALLEGEDLY living in Monaco, Anon uses the American spellings for everything when the European ones would be more appropriate.
3. Anon is so willing to prove their credibility that they dox themselves instead of sending something “safer”, like photos or video.
????
So naturally, I got even more suspicious and posted this.

I looked up the address. It led me to… a hotel.

I posted and asked about this. While many of you correctly said it’s common for hotels to have apartments on the top floors and whatnot, what set me off is that this hotel is named APARTMENTS MONACO…
… as if someone put that in Google Maps and picked the first option.
But then, the anon delivered! They sent me photos from the event in question!
But to send these photos, anon had to unmask themselves.

Now, Capyphoenix tends to block tumblrs that make or interact with pro-Kelly content. I asked her if she blocked this account, and she said yes.
Looking at the blog's following... that checks.

Notice those bottom three follows:
Reigningm4x, who (allegedly) bought staged pap shots Kelly purchased, then tried to hide.
Karlmarxverstappen, the (alleged) doctor who posts about Max hole yet says I'm the obsessed one.
Equipebrasil, which is Brazilian... despite anon saying their mom is from Mexico City.
Hell, the blog's TITLE was even in Portuguese! So with this evidence, I confronted them:

So here's what we know about this Anon: They're a Brazilian/Mexican person who moved to Monaco for their dad's work and lives in a hotel. They sent me this information knowing I'm an anti-Kelly blog while following some notorious for their pro-Kelly content. And when confronted, their defense is… that they just like Max fan accounts?
THEN WHY NOT SEND THIS INFORMATION TO THEM INSTEAD???
They had every opportunity to send this to any of the pro-Kelly accounts they follow, any of the Max fan pages that don’t question her. And yet, they came to me. Someone who has openly called out Kelly’s PR tactics time and time again.
Why?
I can think of a few reasons: To see us assume this is true and seethe, to make us seem like the crazy ones when I stand up and say "I don't believe you", or to manufacture a win for Kelly in the court of public opinion. It would have been a win-win situation.
If I had blindly posted this as fact, they’d have spun it as “See? Even the anti-Kelly crowd is admitting she’s beloved by Max’s family!”
If I denied it outright, they’d have twisted it into “Look how unhinged they are! They refuse to believe anything that doesn’t fit their narrative!”
Either way, they were trying to set a trap.
And let’s not forget, this is coming a week after DeuxMoi and CDaN posted their blind items, and the DAY after my “Magical Night” thread took off on Twitter.
Timing is everything.
The one question remaining is where did those photos come from. There are three possibilities:
The photos were taken by anon themselves. YSL did do some exclusive screenings of Emilia Perez, but I couldn't find any evidence of one happening as recently as yesterday. Maybe they went to an earlier screening hosted by them.
The photos came from someone in Kelly's circle. If these photos didn’t come from anon themselves, then they had to originate from someone with access to that event. That could be someone who wanted them to be seen without being traced.
The photos were pulled from another source. Less likely, as Google Image Search wielded no results. But anon could have taken the photos from someone who went to the event and tried to pass them off as their own.
Which one do you think is the truth?
Moral of the story: Emilia Perez is a terrible movie and should not exist.

School Spirits S2 Theories - Ep 1-3
So the first episodes did a lot of things, they mostly feed into my theories from last season. I don't plan to distinguish between the three episodes as I don't have time to rewatch them one at a time so I will just- do all of them.
Spoilers, and junk.
Despair Theory
For those that didn't see any of my theories before, despair theory is the way that heartbreak ties into connecting to the spirit world. Both in the creation of Ghosts, and being able to hear/see ghosts. This has gotten two big additional pieces of evidence.
Janet is just as much of a despair pit as the other ghosts. Thanks to her dad. (I hate her dad.)
Xavier can't see ghosts, because in spite of everything, he isn't heartbroken enough to see them.
I would add that the next living person closest to the despair event horizon to see ghosts is Claire, thanks to her whole... everything. Ironically the two that want to see Maddie are too hopeful to see Maddie.
This feels a little too solid to break apart with new information. The themes of the show feed into it too much to really argue the point any other way. The only real question marks to the theory are the band kids (they're weird) and Xavier's small stint in the ghost world while he was dying.
But the latter is less evidence and more anomalous, he was dead a few moments. And the second part of what we know comes into play now.
The Doors, the Keys, and Crossing Over
So the path to the Other Side is blocked off by... whatever snarl of trauma has these ghosts trapped. Which is physically accessed with the key (an item from your death) and the scar (the location of your death). That was pretty well set-up already.
Because we've seen it before. The Reverse Seance. Dawn didn't have her room, or her key. She just... recalled all of her trauma, faced it, and found whatever her answer was. We assumed, at the time, it was Maddie calling her a friend. But now?
I don't know how to tie that into the rooms and the keys. The structure of the rooms makes it seem like you have to find the answer in yourself, but so much of the show is about the characters as a comradery. And if the mechanism for crossing over is built on a little help from your friends, it means someone doesn't get to cross over.
I dunno, I'm curious where this will go. And it's the thing we haven't investigated yet since it was the end of Ep 3.
Janet and the Dead
I don't think Janet can see the dead, right now. At least, that's what I think they were setting up with the flashbacks to her leaving? It'll make the whole thing more complicated if she can't talk to the dead kids, but know they're there.
I do think Janet and Maddie interacting is going to be the juiciest drama when it happens, and I do want that very much.
Other Thoughts
Quinn is adorable. I like Quinn.
Charlie kind of feels underwritten so far this season, but this season has been a lot of Wally and Rhonda thus far.
Again, Janet's dad is the worst. Hate that guy.
Where is Theater Ghost!?
The living buying everything Simon said about Maddie feels weird but also not that weird. Because the more they see how nothing Janet does makes sense for Maddie, the easier it is to think 'that's not Maddie.'
Yuri is pretty adorable, not gonna lie. I do appreciate how every ghost used as evidence for Mr. Sketchy Ghost Teacher's teachings is in fact not evidence at all.
Except for the Band Ghosts, who are still very weird.
...I'll do one of these next week with the next episode, hopefully better put together.

YOU’VE GOT MAIL
Jayce and Viktor are instant-messaging anonymously after meeting in an AOL chat room. They're also research competitors in New York City, and have no idea that they're slowly falling in love with their would-be business rival.
Inspired by the 1998 film You've Got Mail.
early updates @ josmarch on ao3
CHAPTER ONE
Viktor had always loved New York. Growing up in Brooklyn it was just him and his mother, who had immigrated from the Czechia in search of business opportunity. She had owned a small shop selling quirky inventions, a place she called The Shop Around The Corner due to its proximity the apartment she spent the rest of her life in. She’d been building things all her life, but the business kicked off when he was in elementary school, and she focused on expanding access to mobility. When he wasn’t in school, Viktor found himself following the same path. Drawn to science and mathematics, Viktor worked alongside his mother until she passed away and left him the storefront.
These days he worked with Sky Young, a woman who helped show walk-in customers around the crowded shop. She was curious about inventing, but Viktor had yet to convince her to open up and try something on her own. For now, she was good at watching the merchandise while he worked on more important things in the office.
Viktor’s mother died five years ago in 1993, but her creations still littered the shelves of the store. In fact, it was almost certain that they outnumbered his own. To be fair, Viktor’s projects were often lengthy and risked failure, while his mother did work on the side for commission or personal interest. His current project was an expansion of her thoughts on enabling someone suffering from paralysis to have full autonomy. It was intricate: neuroscience, engineering, and anatomy rolled into one. It was costly and timely, taking him upwards of a season. He’d started in August, and the clocked still ticked onwards a week out from the holidays.
The shop was funded by scientific and engineering grants that Viktor spent long hours applying for. He was noticing that he had to put in more effort recently: a couple times now, he had been expecting for something to pull through, and they had gone in a different direction. Even one of his regular investors was supporting something newer, and it was beginning to stress him out. He had a nagging feeling that the newly-constructed research facility just blocks down the street had something to do with it. The newspaper headlines said something about an achievement related to transportation, but he hadn’t gotten the chance to read about it yet.
When he wasn’t at the storefront, Viktor was in the apartment down the street that he shared with his cat Rain. She was a black cat, practically nonverbal unless she was convincing him to feed her. Her hobbies consisted of napping, staring, and sitting in Viktor’s lap, which made her a very easy roommate.
The apartment was a two-bedroom unit with a small bathroom and a fire escape. He’d lived here with his mother, and he’d moved things around since it became his alone, apart from her bedroom. It was frozen in time, the same as the day she left, with the addition of a few boxes of her personal belongings from elsewhere in the house. He couldn’t bring himself to touch it, and he was too busy these days anyway.
The morning of December 18th, Viktor woke up early. He spent an hour working his thoughts out in a notebook before ever leaving the bed, and Rain showed up expectantly when he entered the kitchen to make coffee. He fed her and let her have her space to eat, heading to the computer in the living room and starting it up. In its own time, it displayed the AOL instant messaging login screen. He input the correct information (username Tinkerman) and the startup informed him “you’ve got mail”, a sound that should not have made his stomach flutter like it did. He ignored the feeling, clicking on the chat he’d been anticipating a response from.
NY1972 was a man from the Upper West Side. That’s about all the personal details Viktor knew about him, except that he lived with his long-term girlfriend, and he worked in technology. Opening the chat they communicated through, Viktor read the latest message:
Today’s rainy in this area of town. I find that I don’t mind the weather, it feels nostalgic as it reminds me of growing up in Seattle. I heard we’re due for a wet winter, so I should invest in a new raincoat. Work these days is repetitive, there are so many companies willing to fund technological advances but even more hoping applicants. I can only hope my proposal is good enough to convince them. How are you this morning? I imagine you’re reading this as you drink your morning coffee, preparing for what awaits. NY1972
Viktor looked down at his coffee mug, feeling a bit seen-through. He shrugged a little, took a sip, and got to writing back:
The weather’s not so bad here. It looks like rain, but I’m not convinced today is the day. It’s fascinating that you are also working to acquire funding for your projects. May I ask what your passion is? If it’s too personal, I understand. I’m interested in hearing about anything, from your current favorite book to the inner workings of your daily routine. My morning started with research, and will likely end the same way. How is your day? Have you been to Seattle recently? Tinkerman
He sat there after pressing send, and stood up from the desk. NY1972’s message had come in earlier in the morning, so it could be before the evening that he received a response. He was getting dressed for work when he heard the notification of a message coming through AIM chat. He nearly stumbled making his way back to the computer, expectantly looking for an update.
My family is still in Seattle, I sometimes visit for the holidays. My father also works in technology, but his company is based on the West Coast. I think he holds a grudge against me for moving this far away. I’m still learning to appreciate New York, but making connections within the community has helped. I’m working in renewable energy these days. I’m about to leave for work, but I look forward to hearing from you later this evening. NY1972
It was nice to know that this man wanted to speak to him as much as Viktor wanted to hear. He sat in front of the computer, hands lingering over the keys, before words found him.
I have the same busy day ahead of me. I fear my cat will be upset at the lack of my presence, but she’s good at keeping herself entertained. I am curious if you have any pets? Let me know when you do return, and work hard. Tinkerman
Viktor logged out of AIM before he allowed himself to waste time sitting around in hopes of another message. The pair of them had met in a larger chat server, and when they’d moved the conversation to a private window, Viktor noticed how NY1972 was driven by his work. Viktor worked long hours, even occasionally staying at the storefront overnight, and he had noticed that there was sometimes no message awaiting him when he returned. He tried not to allow any disappointment to cloud his judgment, but this internet stranger was captivating his attention. He pulled his jacket on, leaned on his cane as he locked the front door, and started his short walk to the storefront.
Sky was waiting outside, having arrived just before him. “Good morning,” she chirped, dressed in a warm sweater, navy trousers, with her hair pulled back and glasses sitting on the bridge of her nose.
“Morning,” Viktor responded, unlocking the door and pushing it open for her. She entered first, flipping on the lights. The dark shop was instantly illuminated, bright lights shining down on the shelves of metal. Sky pulled the curtains open, letting the natural light in. Viktor headed back towards the register, setting to count the drawer.
“You seem like you’re in a good mood,” Sky noted.
Viktor looked up at her, raising an eyebrow. “Do I?”
“You never seem this bright,” she clarified. “Did one of the grants pull through?” Hesitation, then: “Seeing anyone new lately?”
He shook his head and went back to counting the bills. As he worked, he answered, “I should ask you that question. I’ve yet to hear you speak of anyone, and you’re an attractive young woman. You’re intelligent. You could have men lined up down the block.”
“I could find someone if I was looking,” Sky said. She was watching him with some expression of longing, but Viktor missed the meaning in her gaze, focused. “So there’s no one? What’s got you acting all different?”
Viktor finished counting and put the cash drawer back in the register, closing it. “I’m not sure what you mean,” he feigned innocence. “I’m the same as I always am.” He straightened up the junk on the counter: sticky notes, a cup of pens, a stack of receipts. Sky didn’t go anywhere, staring as if it would reveal his secrets. It worked, because he sighed. “Alright. If I tell you, you cannot judge me.”
“Why would I judge you?” Sky laughed, leaning on the counter on the opposite side from where he stood. “I’m all ears.”
Viktor flipped through receipts as he spoke. “Last week, I had a night off. I ended up in one of the AOL instant messaging chat rooms.”
Sky laughed again, interrupting. “Oh, really?”
“Do you want to hear the story or not?”
She put her hands up. He continued on.
“I ended up talking to a man who is also in tech. He understands the work I do, it’s been a refreshing conversation. We’ve been messaging privately since that night.”
“And?” Sky pressed, never taking her eyes off of him. “What’s his name?”
Viktor met her eyes for the first time since he started sharing. Sky didn’t need a response to get the message.
“Oh my god,” she exclaimed. “You don’t know his name. You’re talking to a guy on AIM, and you don’t know his name.”
“No, I don’t know his name,” Viktor said, coming around the counter and fixing the flyers on the front windows. Each of them displayed information about upcoming neighborhood events. The most important was two days before Christmas, in which Viktor was hosting an inventor’s fair. His mother started the tradition, and for ten years now, inventors and engineers in Brooklyn would bring their creations to the shop and demonstrate their discoveries. “He has a girlfriend. It’s not a big deal.” He straightened the crooked poster announcing the date and time.
“Interesting,” Sky said. “What are you trying to get out of this?”
“Good conversation at the very least,” Viktor replied, putting the conversation to rest by walking back towards the office. “I’m going to keep working on the project. Let me know if you need anything.”
“Have fun,” was the response from his assistant. The amusement in her voice never faltered, and Viktor almost regretted telling her about his new friend. He lost himself in his equations, sitting at his workbench and carrying on what he’d been working on for months, forgetting about NY1972 as well as he could.
Jayce had always hated New York. The noise was constant, and the stench was even worse. Growing up outside Seattle, he preferred the quiet and clean streets. He missed a lot about the city: his family, his best friend who may as well be his sister, even the weather. While he’d been in New York for two years now, he was still adjusting. Things were starting to look up, as he finally acquired property for the research facility he’d always dreamed of.
Jayce’s routine was easy. He woke up at seven in the morning each day, even the weekends, and either worked out or worked on his current project (depending on what the day called for). He lived with his girlfriend, who’d he been dating since just before his cross-country move. Since they became official, Mel had been elected to the state senate, leaving Jayce alone on weeks when she was required to travel for work. He’d kept himself entertained with a multitude of books and his own projects, but he recently found himself in an AOL instant messaging chat room, in which he came across Tinkerman, a captivatingly educated personality who was also in New York.
On December 18th, Mel was out of town. Jayce woke up, worked out, and made breakfast before sending his morning message to Tinkerman. He was buttoning up his shirt when he heard the AIM notification from the living room. Against his better efforts to stay calm, he rushed to finish dressing and hurried back to his computer. He found himself smiling at the response before him. It was nice to know that someone cared enough to ask questions.
After responding, he turned off the computer and took a taxi to Brooklyn. He was living in the Upper West Side in Mel’s spacious apartment, but he’d gotten property in a different borough because it allowed him to get his research up and running.
Just down the street from The Shop Around The Corner, Talis Technologies was two-story building that replaced an old bookstore. The building had been gutted and redesigned to add research laboratories, offices, and a large room solely for a supercomputer and all its related gadgets and gizmos.
Jayce was pouring himself into a project he’d been focused on for the better half of the year. He had a concept for introducing new cross-country transportation ideas, but was just now securing the location and the funding to pick up the pace. He was expecting an investor to show up for a tour this morning, but the appointment time came and went, and he heard nothing. He ended up in his office, flipping through a business magazine that gave him an idea of potential investors to call.
His cell phone rang, then. It was the investor, an hour and a half late. Jayce answered immediately. “Jayce Talis speaking.”
“Hello Mr. Talis,” said the deep voice on the other end of the line. “Apologies for the miscommunication about our appointment this morning. We have already chosen to award this grant to someone else, but we encourage you to apply again in the future.”
Jayce deflated, but kept himself together on the call. “Thank you for letting me know.” Curiosity got the better of him, so he continued, “May I ask who the grant went to?”
“We have been a consistent supporter of The Shop Around The Corner throughout the years, so we’ve chosen to continue maintaining that partnership. They have an inventor’s fair coming up, perhaps it would be to your advantage to network with peers and other potential investors.”
Now he wasn’t disappointed, he was annoyed. He hadn’t been to The Shop Around The Corner yet, but he was under the impression it was less of a scientific facility and more of a knick-knack store. It felt like the investor only chose The Shop because of their history, and not due to any possible successes, but he couldn’t let that show in his tone. “I appreciate having the opportunity to apply, and hope you have an excellent rest of your day.”
“Take care, Mr. Talis.” The investor hung up.
Jayce sat at his desk for a minute, then stood and made his way outside. He had to get some fresh air. He’d been expecting this grant to work out, and it was taken from under him.
Since he’d never been to The Shop Around The Corner, he figured he would see what all the fuss was about. He knew exactly where it was, having passed it in the taxi many times before. Three blocks west. When he arrived, he peered inside, curious for a glimpse.
A woman was entering the shop holding hands with a young boy, and she held the door for him. Jayce refused her gesture and held the door for her, then thanked her anyway. He followed her inside, looking around for a better idea of what was going on. So many unintelligible things on shelves of various heights. Despite the critiques coming to mind, he could imagine his teenage bedroom, full of the same seemingly-nonsense useful tools.
The woman seemed to have a good idea of how to go about shopping here, because she headed directly to the counter. Another woman sat behind it, and she struck up conversation with the customer. Jayce was eavesdropping until he saw a man walk out of a door behind the desk. He was older than the woman helping at the counter, about Jayce’s age. The pair of them locked eyes, and the man stopped.
“Can I help you?” said the man to Jayce. He seemed so genuine about the inquiry, Jayce almost felt bad for intruding in his space. Before the silence grew too lengthy, Jayce thought of something to say.
“Yeah,” he finally spoke. “I’m new in the area. I’m stopping by all of the shops and stores and checking things out, trying to get familiar with my surroundings.”
The man’s face softened. “Welcome to the neighborhood,” he said. “I’m Viktor. I run this shop with Miss Young.” He gestured to the woman behind the counter, who was still assisting the customer.
“I’m Jayce,” he introduced in response. “I’m just a few blocks from here.”
“You should come by more often,” Viktor nodded. “We have an inventor’s fair coming up, it’s open to the public. It’d be a great time to meet your neighbors.”
So it wasn’t just knick-knacks, it was outreach. Jayce could understand how someone with deep roots in the community beat him out for a grant, he just couldn’t let it happen again.
“If I’m free, I’ll try to stop by,” was he response he offered. He stepped back, then. “I’ve got to get going, but thank you.”
Viktor said nothing, watching this Jayce leave with intrigue.
“Thank you for what?” said Sky when he was finally gone. She’d finished with the customer, who was now poking around the shelves with her son.
“I’m not quite sure,” Viktor answered, picking up the receipt from the latest sale and stacking it on top of the others. The growing pile was bound to fall over soon.
“Do you think he’ll show up?”
“Probably not,” Viktor shrugged. He looked around the store. Noticing it was empty, he put forth a proposition. “I can watch the store if you want to go get us lunch. Whatever you want.”
“I got you,” she said, popping the cash drawer open and taking a twenty. “Be back soon.”
The bell on the door rang as Sky exited. Viktor basked in the silence, intending to rest his wandering mind for a few moments, but instead finding himself wondering if there was a message waiting for him when he finally got home later.
Three blocks to the east, Jayce was doing the very same thing.

ALRIGHT, no more messing around I suppose.
Over the last twelve months my close friend @kimberlyeab and myself have been the targets of sustained harassment by a series of "anti-ship" accounts, that may or may not be the same person, that I am not going to name up here because I do not want to give them any more traffic than necessary. This is over some of the content we make, 18+ fiction revolving around Undertale and Deltarune, and sometimes involving dark kinks. I'm going to ask you to put aside whether you think this is immoral for the moment.
Under the break below is what I wrote a few hours ago. Things have since escalated. Both myself and Kim have been targeted by email bombs on our business emails, services/bots that spam your email address with garbage signups, rendering your email address completely unusable. At worst, this can overwhelm your email service so much that your account is unable to process new emails and is eventually disabled by the provider. I'm still getting bursts of activity after over 200 emails, so I'm not sure if it's dying down, or if it's so backlogged that this is what's happening.
This is literally a crime, by the way. It's classified as cyber abuse.
On top of this, whoever has done this has access to personal information. A full legal name, first and last, was used in several of the signups, so they are either implicitly threatening to doxx us, or simply flexing that they could. Likewise a crime.
Additionally, this seems well coordinated, but there are no suspicious recent results for us in The Usual Places. This makes me believe this person is probably using some foul back-alley site like KF to organize this. I don't think the legal name in question could have been acquired by one person, it's extremely difficult to trace back.
tl;dr: whoever is doing this knows their way around the internet and is actively dangerous, they are severely impeding our lives and have the potential to become incredibly, incredibly dangerous.
Why am I posting this? Not really to get those accounts in trouble (although you should absolutely stay the hell away from them, and severely scrutinize anything they leave a mark on). I don't think they'll be punished, nor would it help since they constantly block evade, and at this point I don't think this recent online abuse crap is actually them, just someone attaching themself to their crusade. Though I'm not sure.
What I want to illustrate is how these kind of callout posts feed into targeted harassment of minorities. This is just another reason why things that make you uncomfortable should be dealt with by curating your experience using tags and blacklists and blocks, rather than trying to assign moral value to what people make. If my content makes you that uncomfortable I *actively encourage* you to block me.
It doesn't matter whether you personally dislike minorities or not, or whether you're subconsciously targeting them, or whatever. Someone else who does will latch on. That person who writes nothing but callout posts, yet they're always for small trans creators who make some 'icky stuff' and never for big-name bigots who parade their bigotry out in the open; is it because they're a sock puppet of an overt reactionary, or just because they want to feel some control over their life so they subconsciously focus on vulnerable people?
Simple: you can't know.
These people are the dangerous ones. Not people who just make content, properly tag it, and mind their own business. But these people, obsessed with ruining other people, with finding 'evil' in the world so that they can purge it? You can find their name below if you really want, and literally their entire blog is just constant callouts, broadcasting people doing callouts, trying to network with other people who do callouts. This is why these people were originally called 'antifans', their entire fandom presence is centered around tearing other people to shreds.
Do your due diligence and fact-check, before you broadcast that someone in your fandom did something awful. Make sure they actually hurt someone. I know mega-bastards will use 'you can't prove it' as an excuse, but actually analyze it a bit. It's almost always painfully obvious, I know, I spent years doing antifascism. And more than anything else, neither entertain, nor broadcast, nor embolden the kind of people who dedicate their entire existences on the internet to lateral abuse. Not just these particular ones, but ANYONE who dedicates their life to this online torch-waving garbage over fictional content. Whether they're a reactionary or just projecting trauma, whether they actually hate x y or z minority or they just happen to always go for the most vulnerable people, whether the person they're targeting makes content that makes you feel very icky and gross or not, these self-ordained Crusaders are consistently, unquestionably, dangerous.
That's one page out of 4. Also some of them have between 10 and 80 updates in the one email from the same address. There's about 300 emails all up. And there's zero reason they can't do this again.
===
Anyway. The accounts in question are @snowcollecter/@brieffamilycat/@krispy-chicken-shipping/@bonniehbunny. First two are definitely them, I highly suspect the latter two are their main, or at the very least someone who constantly signal boosts them. We have endured over 12 months of:
calling for brigades against us, and at least 4 other people
block dodging to constantly screenshot and reference our posts
literal libel by accusing us of grooming a child despite screenshots, as well as both statements and direct requests to stop by both the supposed groomed child and their actual friends who witnessed all interactions we had
spamming anon asks to literally every single person that they can find who we ever interact with
using tiktok cen)sor)ship nonsense to get past peoples' blacklists and force this stuff in front of them
using no less than 3 confirmed alts with about 5 more extremely suspicious accounts in attempts to artificially broadcast themself and again evade blocks (when the original account itself is transparently an alt too)
joining multiple random discords to try to shove this stuff in peoples' faces
now spamming Kim's business email at signup services
probably being behind the attempts to doxx and raid us last year on a certain hate-monger website, since the signup spam demonstrates they're cool with bog standard channer troll tactics
They also pretty tellingly refused to even talk to this minor we supposedly groomed, who attempted to tell them personally that we hadn't done the shit they claim we did. You'd think someone who is this caught up about the safety of minors in fandom spaces would jump at the chance to help this kid, to tell them not to talk to us and get them away from us, to convince them to stay away? No, they said 'I don't talk to minors' (this is demonstrably untrue: their discord accounts are in many all-ages spaces) and immediately blocked them.
Of course. Because this was never about the safety of minors. Flip a coin; if it's heads, they're a far-right sock puppet who just knows they can use the 'think of the children' angle to drive a wedge into queer communities. If it's tails, they're just a routine runt who's projecting their lack of ability to do anything about the ACTUAL assholes of this world onto other queer people, wailing and flailing and doing anything they can to have some influence despite getting 3 notes on almost everything they ever post. Hence the anon asks, and Discord spam, and blacklist/block evading. If they can't have a platform - because anyone who looks at their garbage for more than a month at most sees how absolutely deranged they are - they'll just force people to see it.
Do they ever attack actual transphobes, which this fandom is not at all short on? Well, sort of! They did one or two callout posts about a TERF who used to run in these spaces... But didn't say anything about the TERF shit. Just the porn. The porn constantly put behind age confirmations and thorough tags/content warnings. This person spouted generic 'all-powerful trans lobby' 'social contagion' 'please look at this study about desistance I found on a hard-right website' bullshit, but no, it was them drawing aged-up highschoolers (REMINDER: NOT EVEN CANONICALLY UNDERAGE, JUST VAGUE HIGHSCHOOLERS, *AND* THEY WERE EXPLICITLY OLDER IN THEIR CONTENT!) that was apparently the greater evil.
I'm not even really sharing this to call them specifically out or draw attention to them. Regardless of whether they're a chud in a mask or just someone who severely, *severely* needs psychological help about their obsession, they're not going to stop. They've made that plainly obvious. At this point I've basically just accepted I'm going to have this deranged stalker until I leave the fandom, which I don't plan to do anytime soon so buckle up I guess.
No, I just want people to see what these people are like. How they ignore the people they claim are victims. How they employ the same tactics as doxxing websites and old channer trolls, or even outright enlist them. How they only EVER put sustained effort into taking down queer people with small platforms because going after the in-plain-sight actual bigots and scumbags would just be too much effort, a reflection of how this is about feeling righteous and powerful, not actually making the world better. They create nothing, they contribute nothing, they bring nothing but arguing and drama and isolation to the spaces they inhabit.
These kind of people are blights on the fandoms they cling to. And any time you act like their *miserable* Hays Code, Jack Thompson With A Rainbow Flag, no kink at pride, BDSM is abuse, drag queens are indecent, cover those ankles *garbage* warrants any notice at all, you deal another blow to the fandom you are in, because nobody wants to be around these little goddamn nightmares. edit: I know how red-flag any grooming allegations are, if you want the full story to that I already addressed it here. tl;dr, no, we did not let a child look at our porn let alone show it to them, we in fact stopped them from doing so. We are not in some secret private 18+ server with them, we actively ensured they STOPPED making themself unsafe, and have strained extremely, extremely hard to keep our very limited interactions with them transparent, scrutinizable, and appropriate. The only reason we even stuck around was because it became rapidly apparent they were in an abusive living situation which we occasionally gave them advice to manage, eg helping them look up boarding options, unlike the torch-waving dipshits who did NOTHING to reach out to them or help them in any way. They're doing much better, both in their home life and in terms of not following or privately palling around with 18+ creators anymore, thanks to us, and at the expense of both our mental health and reputations. You're fucken' welcome.

I've seen my name being thrown around, and I'd like to dot my is and cross my ts on this once and for all.
Gonna preface by saying this:
No one said that glossysoap, groguspicklejar or soapskneebrace told their anons "GO HARRASS THIS RACIST" - that's just, once again, y'all misinterpreting our words. All that was said was "You are a big blog that accidentally created a witch hunt amidst your followers and even though you didn't mean to, you need to realize you still have influence over them, so you need to make amends";
I also made a very big point of pointing out that when soapskneebrace posted those screnshots, they acted as if their blog was an "island" and that it was safe to make a comment like that because they believed it would stay 'contained' within their friend group or followers. And that they should've known better because this is the internet, they're 28, and they should know stuff **doesn't** stay isolated. All things can be accessed.
Another thing I'd like to point out is that soapskneebrace/Madi has admittedly a history of their followers/anons harassing people in their inbox. I don't care that the circumstances are different. They *know* their followers have done such a thing and as a creator (yes, this is not a normal social media, yes, none of us are 'influencers' with proper check marks that make giant moves on the platform, but we all STILL have an influence) they should've known better.
(Their own words below 👇)

I'm sorry for the way I spoke:
Yes, the tone I used was aggressive, cheeky and on-the-offensive and the hashtag I used was in poor taste. I could've handled my **tone** better as well as the way I tried to make my point across. I realize that now once I've had time to cool off and I apologize for the way I spoke.
I recognize that I didn't help the issue by being as aggressive as I did and, in fact, just caused a bigger commotion. That wasn't fair, and the tone I used wasn't nice or helpful.
I'm not a trained psychologist or anything, and I reacted like any normal person should/would, in my opinion. Saw an injustice that was preventable and got upset about it. I promise to thrive to not let my emotions get the better of me, nor to let my tone ever be that aggressive again.
That's not to say that I don't stand for the things I said. I don't take back what I did. I consider myself an honest person... and if nothing else, it would be dishonest of me to go back on my word. I apologize for my tone but not the message.
About Bunny:
That being said, I'd like to point out that half of the blogs currently talking about this topic (specifically @ceilidho and @391780) giving their opinions and sharing it with their followers are doing so behind 'closed doors' (aka by blocking the two of us) and doing exactly the same thing soapskneebrace accidentally did: they are accidentally pinning their followers against us by providing a retelling of events and hoping their followers go read up more on their own, despite knowing they have a huge influence and that people on the internet are not gonna do that, and are just gonna take their word for it.
And frankly I don't think that's fair. I'm not even speaking for myself. I couldn't care less about the abuse coming my way or any boycotting to my future posts or current ones.
I just wish you both/all would stop putting me and bunny in the same category. You wanna get mad at someone? Get mad at me.
Bunny handled this with not just a lot more maturity than me, but also a lot more elegantly. Bunny strived to educate and to speak respectfully and in a way that was informative when she tackled all the creators involved.
If you go read her replies to the blogs in question, they were measured, understanding, respectful, kind and polite. She made sure they understood all she was seeking from them was some form of accountability, and never meant them any harm.
It's not fair that she's being 'lumped' together with me and getting any harrassment or torment over the fact *I* was aggressive, when she wasn't.
She has always, ALWAYS strived to make her blog a positive space, a safe space too. She has always strived to keep people informed and safe, and to tackle topics in her fics that she sees are lacking in the community.
Bunny has plenty of anons who reach out to her to discuss mental health, disability and other topics of the sort because she's trained for it, and now she's not free to open her inbox anymore because people are also spouting abuse at her.
I just want you all to stop going after her. She deserves your admiration, not your hatred.
Again, you need someone to yell at? To get mad at? I'm right here and I can fucking take it.
My inbox and the anon button are not gonna ever close, just so you all still have a place to go yell at me through while keeping your precious anonymity that emboldens you so.
Kind Regards,
Kea
#ikea talks#i know you're gonna get this to those creators#and I hope if nothing else you do what I ask and leave my friend alone

Three sentence fic prompt: Jake/Natasha, anchor and producer in the newsroom
[hit me up with an AU prompt!]
Ah, using my own obsessions against me! One day, this might turn into an actual fic but who knows?
"She won a Peabody, Seresin!" "So did I!" "On a piece that I produced," Natasha chimes in from the chair in front of Pete's imposing oak desk. "You were basically my charismatic talking monkey." Jake holds his middle finger up in the air. He doesn't have to turn back to know that she's flashing that shark toothed smile now that there's blood in the water. Jake hopes that if he keeps staring at the network president in disbelief, all that attention will make his unflappable boss uncomfortable. Instead, what he gets is Pete's slightly apologetic, "This is not a negotiation, Jake." "Like hell it's not!" Jake snaps his fingers at the overpriced Yale-educated lawyer who has been leaning against Pete's bookshelves this whole time. "I've got that clause, right? Tell him I'll walk." "Um…" Jake's eyes snap to Logan, who shuffles from one foot to the other. "Well…we had to make some concessions during the last contract negotiation to get you the 'beaucoup bucks' you wanted." "What concessions?" Logan scrambles over with an iPad, presumably to show Jake the fine print on his contract that he should've known about before he was in the middle of a Mexican standoff, but Pete beats him to the punch by informing Jake that he's locked in for another year. Before Jake can shout at Logan to get him out of it, Javy tells him that there is no way he can afford a breach of contract even with the beaucoup bucks ("Told you not to buy the house in the Hamptons, buddy!") like his best friend's sudden need to "spread his wings and take on a new challenge" isn't the reason that they're discussing bringing Natasha Trace on as his new producer. How can Jake be the face of the network's most celebrated news broadcast and still feel as powerless as he did when he was a cub reporter for a local affiliate? "I'll do a very bad job then," Jake counters desperately. "Like Wolf Blitzer when he's called back early from vacation for breaking news." He catches Natasha rolling her eyes before she reminds everyone, but mostly him, that he's too Type A to do something like that. Her voice doesn't give away what they're both thinking— Jake, on a sat phone from the edge of hell, accusing Natasha of phoning it in with an all too definitive, "Not the story, Nat. Christ, you'd never sacrifice the story. But us. If you don't want to do this anymore—" And then: "I don't." —but Natasha is as much of a coward as he is because she suddenly becomes very interested in her cuticles so, as a last-ditch effort, Jake proclaims, "It is a well-known fact that you can't have a professional relationship with someone you've seen naked, okay?" Anyone else would take the words of The Most Trusted Voice in News as gospel, but the problem with being surrounded by a group of people who shaped him is that their memory of him is frozen back to when he was Just Jake and his superb capacity for bullshit meant hosing many an authority figure into giving him access to places his credentials would not let him enter. As such, the scoffs heard around the room now are nearly unanimous. "That's not even remotely true," Natasha replies with a groan. "And has never stopped you before," Javy traitorously reminds him. "Besides, if that was the line in the sand," Pete draws out with a grin, "then Machado should've left to produce Bradshaw's show years ago." At this, Natasha's research guy's eyebrows jump to his hairline. "I'm not talking about hazing rituals in college, Pete!" Javy nudges Bob with his shoulder and stage-whispers, "Don't believe him. He's been in love with me ever since we had to do naked keg stands in front of the Block Museum of Art."

Speaking to No One:
The Reality of Ultra Personalization
For nicer formatting check this out on AO3
The voices which seek to stand up for laborers in the ever present class war are being silenced by techno fascist propaganda and ‘tools’ such as AI. Notoriety culture is killing us all, creatively and in some cases, literally. The aspiring writer or artist is a dying concept as the existing ones are put in the position of competition over collaboration, and the quality of both human and machine written media continues to wane as a result. Repeat that for artists.
Consumers are being pitched the concept of custom art and writing for little to no cost via AI, but prior to that and even if it is just a fad, which is increasingly seeming unlikely, it follows another trend that has decimated communities for years, from services like Fiverr to the custom character artist trend of the last two and a half decades that has trended with the popularization of anime and Dungeons and Dragons, the customization market is AI’s predecessor, and in some ways the reason so many people opt to skip the human element all together when seeking these products. Why wait days or weeks for a human to do what AI propertedly does in seconds?
There is a quantity over quality issue in consumption that is only becoming worse over time. With everything from TV shows to news articles, the speed at which we cumulate information and products have skyrocketed exponentially. The predecessor of the ultra customization issue was the internet itself in some ways. As the cost of access to the resources it provides has decreased the larger it gets, the more prevalent technology becomes, the cost of the resources to create things without it has exceeded the value of the instantaneous. People have called into question what we are losing with each of these steps forward, often being met with the critique that it is nostalgia alone that makes them pine for the days when we had to put in more effort for less results.
I'm not here to say we aren't made for this, but in the face of all of these factors, we must consider that we are not headed for a brighter future for most people as a result of this. Loss of income, loss of homes, loss of entire cities worth of people as we ourselves become commodities rather than human beings, this is not something we are consciously choosing by using these tools the way that we do, but it is something we are actively choosing by not demanding better.
In the Run the Jewels 4 song ‘walking in the snow’ El-P wrote:
“Funny fact about a cage, they're never built for just one group
So when that cage is done with them and you still poor, it come for you
The newest lowest on the totem, well golly gee, you have been used
You helped to fuel the death machine that down the line will kill you too”
When he said this he was referring to issues like systemic racism and literal imprisonment of political opponents and migrant families, but as with any well written metaphor, it applies to so much and unfortunately it means the same thing. The link between the death of accessibility in the arts is inextricably linked to the class war that the laborers in our country are losing. By necessitating the possession of a skill and proof of that skill to gain enough leverage to earn a livable wage, we are ensuring that there will be a day when possession of that skill will not be enough to provide the same leverage. People in trades and those whose skills demand physical labor may not be the most quick to see the chopping block, but imprisonment and automatization are the building blocks of enslavement, the draining of resources from the average person, and ultimately the enslavement of ourselves and our children to the wealth controlling class. We have been caught in a cruel joke where our manufactured divisiveness is more than just a tactic of political power seekers, it is the fundamental end of all we know.
The fact that people deserve to be compensated for all labor of all types in a capitalist society is such because without the existence of leverage exploitation is inevitable. By taking away the need to create and by devaluing the labor of creation we spell our demise. It shouldn't be the job of consumers to bear the costs and responsibility of funding creative works alone.
Governments and states of societies more functional than our own have bore the cost of funding the arts and companies have given creative workers comfortable compensatory packages in the past because people are unhappy without these things. The creation of a pale imitation of the things that make us human sold as a good enough alternative to placate the people who do work that holds the fabric of our society together is going to proceed something. What that is is dependent on us. The idea of taking revolutionary collective action and making change without being met with immediate violence is a fantasy, not a thing of the past.
We must go beyond just offering our limited dollars as a means of supporting the arts, the fight against AI and technofascism as a whole is not going to be won with the statement ‘anti-AI’ or the consumption and creation of more algorithm friendly media, it is unionization, the defying of productivity quotas on mass, work stoppages, general strikes and community participation. It is the restructuring of who is and isn't worthy of participation in collective action. It is the process of showing up, both offline and online, the process of allowing ourselves to experience things we find uncomfortable, allowing inexperience to be celebrated and met with guidance rather than annoyance.
There are actions, large and small, that we can take to be better, we just have to decide to take them. For more and more people, the stakes aren't just discomfort, they are lives stolen, rather than lived.
The ultimate goal of this statement is not to add to the endless supply of fear mongering. Hopelessness is not an option. We have to fight to stay patient with the people we see every day, we have to fight to be kind to the people we interact with, we have to contribute to the cultural consensus that people deserve to exist without fear of the violence of impoverishment as a punishment for any number of intangible factors.
If you don't have the emotional capacity to continue to watch innocent people die as outrage entertainment, consider that you can make a difference in the world by using your voice, time, and energy to support the arts. Question people and things that don't use larger audiences to spread the privilege to create to more people, and above all else, if you have the privilege to create without compensation or the greater privilege of being compensated to create, do so without guilt or shame. Show the world who you are everywhere you can for yourself and try to make connections and tell others they can too, even if for a while you're speaking to no one.

BG3 city for Fanfiction writers and reader
[Guide to Lodging in Baldur's Gate 3]
Disclaimer: This post is intended to provide potential readers with a clearer idea of the taverns. It's useful if you want to read my writings or if you've never played and have no idea what ElfSong is, but want to better understand some stories you read or write your own. Feel free to ask anything!
General information (Elfsong)
Lore
In-game map screen
My modifications
Other location
Context: A small revised map of the ElfSong tavern because:
Not everyone reading the fanfiction has played the game, so I'm sorry they don't have context.
I love you all, that room is meant to be comfortable in terms of the story, they're all close enough to interact with each other, but such a lack of privacy is almost comical (besides the fact that it should be the entire floor of a tavern, not a family room), so I felt the need to "reprogram" the rooms.
1- ElfSong General Information:
The Elfsong tavern is located in the Lower City, popular judging by how crowded it is. However, since a major murder occurred, people are hesitant to stay overnight. That's why Alan (the guy behind the counter) offers an entire floor for a few coins (200 gold pieces). As a tavern, if you don't have camping supplies, you can buy dinner directly for 60 gold pieces from your room. It has an underground cellar full of wine, a ground floor with the kitchen, bar area, and entertainment area, a first floor (technically blocked due to a murder), a second floor where you can stay overnight, and a very nice area to relax on the roof. To access the second floor, there is also an external staircase that allows you (if you have a hypothetical key) to avoid the chaos of the tavern and enter from outside.
2- Lore (from NPCs):
Not the best tavern in town, but one of the most famous, especially for its ghosts. Many people go there to hear the "ghostly elven song," and the ghost's crying is often heard too, making it an attraction for many. For this reason, there are no bards in the tavern. A bard in town tells us that the ghost is self-centered and doesn't like to share attention, so it's hard for bards to be accepted there, and they have to go to other taverns. There is a closed room with some refreshments where a comedian performs, providing entertainment for those who want it without disturbing those there for the ghost or minding their own business. There are two cats, even though they're in the kitchen, who are extremely lazy and arrogant. (They will persuade you to kill the mice for them so they can peacefully enjoy the reward).
3- Building map:
ground floor
First floor (locked) (no pictures)
Single room
Second floor room
corridor and Roof
4- Changes made in my stories:
The rentable floors go from two to four, for a total of seven floors (basement, ground floor, first floor, second floor, third floor, fourth floor, roof).
Given there is a total of six companions, three recruitable characters, your tav, and, in any case, four free beds (where the active party generally sleeps), each floor will have seven single rooms, not too small but independent. Additionally, there will be a common area, identical to the in-game one, at the opposite end of the hallway from the entrance stairs.
The common areas will resemble those in the game, identical but without the communal bath and beds. There will be a fireplace with two sofas on each side and a couple of stools, along with two tables, a carpet with cushions, and a hookah.
Companions are divided between the third and fourth floors. This allows the rooms to be larger, and the floors are less crowded.
Since in the game there is a staircase that allows access to the rented rooms from the outside (and not from the inside), to avoid intrusions, the first and second floors are only accessible from inside the inn, while the third and fourth floors are accessible only through an external staircase.
The staircase for the first two floors is guarded by two bouncers when the Elfsong is opened, and when the tavern is closed, with a wooden door that closes the staircase, and a second one that closes the inn itself.
The staircase for the last two floors, being external, is protected by a metal gate preceding the staircase and a wooden door leading to corridor that leads the rooms.
5- Other places where it is possible to stay overnight:
The Shanty (Outskirts): A seedy place where often unsavory characters roam. Astarion mentions when entering that he used to go there frequently to look for victims for Cazador. (Ground floor, first floor, attic with a hidden room)
Abandoned House (Rivington, adjacent city): The owner has abandoned it to find a better place. There are holes in the walls, but it offers good shelter if desperate, although I recommend boarding up the walls first (one floor, a fireplace, a bed, but you make do).
Caress of Sharess: A brothel with many independent rooms accessible from an external corridor to ensure customer privacy. The main building has a bar area on the ground floor and a mezzanine with a restaurant area. The rooms are varied and different in style. For example, one has a kind of tub in the first room and a canopy bed in the second, with a completely floral style. Another is a kind of library, with a basin for washing and supplies inside. Be creative.
Nortale Hostel: A modest and very rustic hostel located in a fairly central position in the Lower City. Pammella Nortale, a charming and well-groomed halfling, is the one in charge. They primarily accommodate refugees, and the place is funded through donations. The hostel is divided into two floors. ATTENTION PLZ READ: Serious Post & Call To Action
I almost never get serious on here, but this is an emergency that effects ALL of us. This is gonna b a long post, but there's a lot of info so plz bear with me.
If you're not on tiktok, you probably haven't heard abt this cuz I've heard and seen NO ONE outside of tiktok talking about this and that's scary.
We have a major mass internet censorship bill that Facists- I mean "Conservatives" are trying to get through congress that was co-signed by Dove (yes, the soap company) & LIZZO of all people back in April of this year.
This bill is called the "Kids Online Safety Act" or KOSA for short.
Under the guise of "protecting children" it is the worst mass internet censorship bill to date and if it passes, it will give state senators and the government the power to censor and destroy anything they don't like off the face of the internet. And by that I mean in a recent video interview of Senator Marsha Blackburn (one of the senators that introduced the bill) said the quiet part out loud and detailed EXACTLY what we knew they were gonna do.
If they pass it, they're going to use it to wipe any LGBTQIA+ content & info off the face of the internet, but ESPECIALLY anything to do with Transgender people and being Trans. And they intend on targeting Transgender children especially.
Due to the purposefully vague wording of the bill giving the gov. the power to destroy anything they deem "a danger to kids" you know that's what they're gonna use it for instead of censoring anything that's an actual danger to kids. They said it themselves.
But it gets SO MUCH WORSE than that. This bill would also give th4em the power to control EVERYTHING you do and EVERYWHERE yo go on the internet and no. A VPN won't help you.
This goes way beyond just lgbtqia info and fandom content/culture being in danger. This also means our right to free speech, access to accurate and factual information, and ability to communicate & organize with each other is also up on the chopping block. They're trying to make it harder for us to fight back against what they're doing.
And even if you don't live in the US, this will also effect you too. Access to any US based content creators and US based media as well as your ability to communicate with your US friends & Family as well as access to info on what's happening in the US will also be in danger as well.
If you're on tiktok and want more info, I reccomend looking up omarsbigsister who has an entire playlist on the bill as well as info and petition links in her bio and a call script to read off for contacting your senators. but I will also be providing those same links at the end of this post.
So what can we do to stop it?
Sign petitions
COntact your senators and reps. Call them, email them, send physical letters,
but most importantly,
SPREAD THE WORD.
share and repost this because the fact that no one oustide of tiktok is talking about this even though it will effect ALL OF US and could spell the end of the internet as we know it is SCARY
This bill is text book fascism and we need to kill it in its crib.
Here are all the links:
Resources for learning about KOSA
Sign this petition and call your senators! (this one includes a call script for you to read from
Sign the open letter against KOSA
Stop KOSA movement's linktree with even more petitons and resources to help

Very typical that you'd block me without saying anything or giving a good argument. But either way, I stand by what I said. Both things can be true that you can support the Palestinians without being antisemitic and support the Jewish/Israeli without being anti Palestine. And that's what the majority of these celebrities that you're so desperately trying to get cancelled are doing. I don't even know why you care so much what celebrities are saying or not saying, because like I said before, they're damned if they do and damned if they don't. And the fact that you're okay with an entire race and a specific group suffering just because it's not your people being affected and because of corrupt politics says a lot more about you than it does about the people you're trying to get cancelled. But oh well, that's on you. I'm gonna keep enjoying my favorite celebrities and all the movies and TV shows they're in, because life's just too precious to cancel everyone over every little thing and to pass up watching good content just it features a celebrate that did something I didn't approve of. You're the one in the wrong, not anyone else.
i don’t care about what a celebrity says. it doesn’t change my mind, specifically, about a given situation. but a primary role of the celebrity for decades has been to influence public opinion. why else is israel offering to pay internet celebrities thousands of dollars a post if they say they’re standing with israel? why is israel offering to pay FOLLOWERS of those people if they go on livestreams and flood the comments with israeli flags? why else do businesses in half the US states have a loyalty clause to israel? celebrities are not just making art. regardless of what they say, whether they say anything at all, they are informing public opinion. this is not a new phenomenon and this is not me trying to cancel someone. if genocide is a “little thing” you can overlook because u want to watch a movie then by all means that’s a You problem. if i can withhold my dollar from going to someone who either only publicly supports israel for their own financial gain (which is beyond shameful) or actually genuinely believes israel is fighting the good fight (which is bigoted and also stupid), then i’m going to keep my fucking money. if i can convince even one other person to do the same, then i’m fucking going to do that.
and tell me how. How can you be in support of palestine without opposing israel. israel≠jewish as many people have explained many times so i’m not getting into that bullshit with you. my hatred for israel has nothing to do with my feelings for jewish people as a whole, thousands of whom have flooded the streets to fight for palestinians. hundreds of whom stormed the US congress to fight for palestinians. if you want to think israel=judaism that’s again a You problem, i’m not falling for that. palestinians themselves are semites so we will not be going over an antisemitism lesson again.
but tell me HOW you propose to give palestinians their dignity and their freedom without dismantling the israeli apartheid. you cannot complacently be in the middle of this when one side is carrying out actual genocide and the other side is asking to be allowed to live in their own fucking homes. israel is bombing mosques and churches and hospitals, where it knows thousands are sheltering and which is criminal to do even if there are no civilians inside, and you want to support israel equally? fuck you. withholding food and water and electricity and medical supplies, so that literal fucking children are being operated on in the dark without anesthesia and thousands are developing sepsis because they cannot be treated properly and women are taking pills to stop their periods because they have no access to menstrual products or clean water, which will inevitably lead to fertility problems (if they even survive that long), and 50,000 pregnant women are due to give birth very soon but have no means to do so safely and i could keep going because the horrors are endless. so how the fuck do you expect me to sympathize with the other side when it refuses to accept the hostages it claims to be committing all these atrocities for and when those same hostages debunk everything israeli media and western media (they're one and the same) have been trying to get people to believe and when it kills its own people as collateral damage because the intent is to annihilate palestinians at all cost. tell me. how do reconcile all of this in your shriveled heart and be on both sides of the issue. you cannot support both sides equally.
"You're the one in the wrong, not anyone else." say that individually to the 300,000 people in london and the 15,000 in sydney and 30,000 in chicago and 10,000 in brooklyn and 25,000 in los angeles and 7,000 in düsseldorf and 15,000 in paris and thousands upon thousands in other cities all across the globe who came out to stand with palestinians. tell every single one of us that we are wrong and you, a faceless motherfucker on tumblr dot com with an empty blog, are right. bitch.
#palestine#gaza#israel#tagging that wacko only bc tumblr is suppressing the palestine tag. as predicted#anonymous#answered

you need to understand that you are coming from a place of privilege when you choose when to and when not to be aware of a genocide. like. people in gaza are starving and dying but youre blocking tags and ignoring it. the people of gaza do not have a choice to ignore it. they do not have a choice to have fun on their social media because their internet access has been cut and they're forced to sleep in tents with no electricity. you are EXTREMELY privileged to even be able to use social media. YOU are privileged to be able to ignore the news whenever you want to. because the truth is, for the people of palestine, its *not* news. its not tumblr posts. its whats happening right here right now for them. the people of palestine have asked us to spread the news of their massacre, of their extinction- yet you cant even do the bare minimum and share posts without being an asshole about it. when the children of the next generations asks you how you could have sat around and done nothing to stop this genocide i hope you know that you will have nothing to tell them because you were nothing but a bystander. fuck you.
look man i understand where youre coming from but i need you to grasp that tumblr isnt a fucking news source. if im gonna support people who are being killed im gonna support it with actual information that hasnt been funneled through people on here. im not sayin news outlets are reliable, but you can fact check them and im not gonna do that for every single post about palestine that floats across my dash because i do not have the time, energy or good enough internet connection to do it half the time. i try to reblog everything i see about donations toward people who need it, as well as anything with actual articles, and if you actually looked at my blog you would see that lmfao. i know im privileged, but im also not an activist, im just some fucking guy, im not going to drown myself in this shit constantly but im gonna do what i can when i can when im in the headspace to do shit about it because i dont wanna do something stupid or spread misinformation. im not ignoring it. social media doesnt make up all of my internet activity or the shit i do in my personal time. thats all i gotta say about this

Nice blog you got there cherri
ok so i have like fifteen other asks but i need to address this first because it's been an issue for nearly a month now and these anons tried to find my main and did what i think was an attempt at doxing me.
this is a post to spread awareness to my followers, despite the person concerned not being aware that i'm doing this at this moment (i will tag them and DM them about it soon). long post, but important.
i may reblog this with additional info in the future, so if you feel this gives limited information check the reblogs or comments.
these anons tried scarying me off of running my blog by constant harassment for days straight, which thankfully stopped as i ended up blocking them. as you can see they ended up bypassing my block or asked someone from another account to continue the harassment and attempts at inducing fear. frankly, what this is causing me is anger as im not the only one involved in this unfortunately.
one of the first hate anons on this blog was a spam of four or more anons asking me if i was the person the anon im replying to is mentioning here. i didn't think much of it as they came with another roughly dozen of hate anon spam which (surprise surprise/s) disappeared in its entirety once i blocked one of them. meaning a single person was harassing me.
i ended up contacting the person these anons were thinking i was, and decided to not reply to the first batch of hate, as first they had the url fully typed out in the ask and I didn't want to expose the person concerned, and second I didn't want to bother any of my followers with one salty hater. they were as weirded out as me that they got involved into this without any logical link between my main, their main, or this sideblog, asides from the fact that they were one of the handful of people that supported me early on and even accepted in dms to share my blog to a discord server (a small one, but they were excited about my blog and asked if i was ok with them sharing it and i said ok).
i had asked them to not make a callout post on their own blog about this nor to go and harass anyone. which they didn't. additionally, i sent them screenshots of the hate anons and explained to them that i didn't want to put their blog url publicly by answering the anon as I felt it was a safety issue. but they insisted that they didn't mind it and that if i changed my mind about the whole issue and decided to go public i would.
so here's their url -> @cherrifruiti (they're getting free promo lol, hopefully it balances out the harassment and targeting they went through. they're an artist and honestly good friend. we bonded more over this. go check them out)
the insistence of this anon on trying to find my main was confusing to me at first. i did not choose to remain anonymous on here for privacy reasons, hell, not even safety reasons. i deal with worse bullshit on main than here. i wanted this blog mainly to have an anonymous moderator as a way to leave space for the community voices. i felt like a faceless blog was a more welcoming environment than having the baggage of a whole person, moral alignments, blend into a space that's catered towards a specific goal and discussion. which to be fair was a huge hit for my ego. id love to share my full identity with y'all and have the accomplishments of this blog linked to me. but im stubborn and attached to my values.
to put it simply, i did not want to make the same mistake as the admin from @narcissisticpdcultureis did.
that being said, i did not lie on any of my values linked with my DNI. i wanted this blog to be accessible to cluster b personality disorder havers and the wider community regardless of their backgrounds, but with some limits for my own mental health and personal boundaries, that i tried keeping limited. notably regarding discourse. of any kind. and as another addition for resources in the npd and cluster b community. just as another community space, not a monopoly.
despite the amount of hate and adversity expressed from the admin of @narcissisticpdcultureis , i had not made this blog with adversity, harassment, anger, or "rebellion" in mind. unlike how the admin seemed to take my act of creating my own digital space and express emotional distain for my blog for the sake of existing. blaming me of doing so to put them in a bad light, while the only thing i did was point out information they already had made accessible to the public about themselves in their pinned post. which i didn't give a moral alignment to it, just stated that i was personally uncomfortable with it.
i am not condoning harassment, but I will not police your actions either. this individual(s) had put the url of my sideblog publicly in a rant of theirs aimed to put me and my work in a bad light without regards of my safety or mental health, and lead many, potentially themselves personally as well, to put me through constant anonymous harassment while i had expressed since the beginning i didn't want to be affiliated or interact with their blog, and never mentioned their url publicly up to now, to avoid the same scenario that just happened to me from their doing.
additionally, in their rant about my blog, they mentioned another npd culture that apparently was created adjacent to theirs, potentially for similar reasons as mine although this is unknown.
im gonna say one thing.
if anything, i like the attention. you decided that i, a small account, who didn't have the self estime to ever think would get traction, caused enough of a problem to make your, way more popular, blog feel threatened. i feel honored.
my only issue is that you failed to find my main blog, which frankly offended me. now my friend is the one getting all the spotlight instead of me </3
i did not judge you on morality when i decided to distance myself from your content due to your syscourse stance. but i am judging you now by your actions. i will be reporting you for harassment and encourage everyone in my social circles to do so as well.
i am not going anywhere.
