When?
2025, for sure. I, myself, am far too busy in the later months of the year to even try and organize it for this year. plus, I think trying to do it this year would be too soon for people to actually get stuff together and participate. as for when in 2025, I'm thinking February. the Teen Titans series started in February and Roy also joined the team in February. (publishing wise.) (also yes Garth quit the issue where Roy officially joined but shhhh.) the specific week in Febuary is not locked in yet, but I'm looking at the 3rd-8th right now. (again only 6 days.) the process of the event being public with an account would probably be in November/December which would give me a couple months to work behind the scenes to set stuff up before stuff like voting starts.
Why 6 Days?
I explain more in the prompts section, but basically the way I have envisioned setting up the prompts of this event up fit better with 6 days rather than 7. rest assured, there will still be a free day.
What Kind Content Would be Allowed?
any and all. as long as the Fab 5 are the central theme. as long as everything is tagged responsibly, any content would be allowed. fics and art would be welcome of any variety. I might had a word minimum for fics, but it would be reasonable.
more clarifications on content ↓
What Would be the Theme Specifically?
the Fab 5's bond in general! it wouldn't be platonic or romantic specific. it might be a little romantic skewed, depending on how things go, but platonic content would be welcome. it would be more comics oriented since the Fab Five is mostly a thing in the comics, but it wouldn't be a rule that it had to be comicsverse.
Would All 5 Characters Need to be Included for Every Work?
realistically, no. I'm not gonna force everyone to draw or write 5 characters for every fic of artwork. I think that would just be unrealistic. the way it would probably be done is that you could write about/draw whatever members of the Fab 5 you wanted for the specific prompt you choose. the core theme is their bond, so whatever aspect of that bond you want to explore you can. I would encourage fics about all 5, but that doesn't mean that's required or that all 5 would have to physically be there.
Would Other Characters be Allowed?
of course. as long as it's Fab 5-centric, I see no reason not to allow other characters.
Would NSFW Content be Allowed?
yes absolutely. I have no plans of making the event NSFW or SFW specific just as I won't make it platonic or romantic specific.
Would the Event be Era Specific? (Teen Titans, Titans, etc.)
nope. I'm planning on making it Fab 5 in general, not just specifically Teen Titans Fab 5. there will probably be prompts that are era specific, but you won't have to pick those if you don't want. AUs would also be allowed!
Prompts?
yes there are gonna be prompts as most week events do.
more clarifications on prompts ↓
How Would the Prompts be Determined?
there would likely be two forms. one where people could suggest prompts and the second where you could vote for the ones you want. again, I think I'll probably wait until November/December to start the process of getting prompts so that it's not too long waiting once the prompts are chosen.
Would Any Prompts be Character Specific?
yes! at least, probably. I have been thinking of having a section on the prompt suggestion form to submit character specific prompts. there would be one per day minus the 6th free day. the set up would basically look like this if I go through with it:
prompt 1 | prompt 2 | prompt 3 | character specific prompt
Day 1 would be Dick, Day 2 would be Wally, Day 3 would be Garth, Day 4 would be Donna, and Day 5 would be Roy. (in order of when they joined the team. Dick, Wally, and Garth were the first to team up so they're in order of when they were introduced into the comics.) you would not be required to use the character prompt or even make that day's work character specific, (you could have every day be Wally-centric for example if you wanted,) but I think it would be cool to offer an opportunity to focus on each member of the Fab 5. this is still in the brainstorming phase, so the specific set up might change, but this is my idea right now!
Would There be a Catch-Up Week?
yes absolutely. there wouldn't be strict cut off for submissions. things might not be reblogged timely or at all after a certain point, but the ao3 collection would stay open. there might also be bonus prompts for the catch-up week inspired by Omega Dick Week 2024. we'll see.
Do I, Moon, Have Literally Any Experience Running Events?
nope! :D however, I do have a plan in mind and have plans to ask for help when I need it. (which I probably will.) I still have experience in fandom and have participated multiple events myself. I'm not too worried about my ability to make this happen as long as people want it to happen. I'm also planning on getting someone to help me run the event if this gets enough of a positive response. if you interested in helping, feel free to DM me on here or on Discord (youhavelessproof)
I think that's all the info that I think would be helpful in the decision of being interested in the event. if you have any more questions or concerns though, or just have thoughts you want to share, feel free to ask or reach out! 🩵
I did also do a quick search on Tumblr and it doesn't seem like anyone has plans to do this, but if I'm stepping on anyone's toes feel free to tell me hfsdjkhfjksh

On that trojan war au thing you're writing. 1. What are the tags for it, cause I'm super interested! And would love to read what you have so far! 2. "And Odysseus is a much grimmer darker man due to his home being one of the places that were first swallowed up by Erebus" - I wanna know more about this. Please tell me more.
Oh , wow, I'm so flattered! I'm very happy it sounds appealing to you <33 This work is a huge passion project of mine so I'm always glad to talk more and more about it, especially since there are many aspects occurring in the background (such as the alternate fates of the main players of the Trojan Conflict) which I cannot properly cover or even explain within the events of the novel itself.
That said: 1) If you mean tags as in ao3 - unfortunately, this work isn't on ao3 my friend :( As I said above, these are elements and concepts in the greek mythology based-fantasy novel I'm currently writing (the concept of which I outlined here in the introductory post of my novel concept!) As for wanting to read whatever writing I currently have available: I currently have three fics available on ao3 that are written in my Pursuing Daybreak verse!
The Prince and Princess series deal with a young Apollo and Artemis and the many consequences they face after Apollo has slain Python. The two works uploaded right now are Exeunt Phoebus Apollo which covers the murder trial of Python and Manent Apanchomene Artemis which covers the intense feelings of helplessness and alienation Artemis experiences after Apollo returns from his banishment and is completely changed. Both of these have themes of family, grief and relationship exploration at their heart.
The third bit of writing I have up is quite outdated but does cover the immediate aftermath of Hyacinthus' death. It's called A Petal Falleth and features Apollo making one of those Big Silly Decisions that have completely unintended but extremely important consequences: namely, instead of the larkspurs being made of Hyacinthus' spilt blood, Apollo anchors the boy's soul to the flowers so Thanatos wouldn't take him. Like the Dawn is also set in this world but because it is nsfw in nature, I wouldn't recommend it as easily as the other three bits of writing. If you don't mind the whole naked men thing though, I'd definitely suggest reading Like the Dawn for a better idea of what my current writing is like (along with eventually getting to see characters like Hector, Andromache and Cassandra/Helenus) Like the Dawn's themes are also different to the other three works with it focusing more on the power dynamics of a god/mortal relationship, exploring masculinity and masculine sexuality and self discovery.
The running theme here, of course, is that all of these bits of writing are centered on Apollo/Artemis or Hyacinth because my novel itself is centered around them. There are, of course, other important characters and figures like Eros, Psyche, Penthesilea and Iaso (one of Asclepius' daughters) but while there is the definite presence of characters from the Trojan War they most certainly aren't at the center of the novel (and the ones that are aren't the Greeks but rather the Trojans i.e Hector, Alexander, Andromache, Cassandra, Helenus, Aeneas, so on and so forth.)
2) The basis of the apocalypse in my work is cosmological! Due to Apollo's err-- untimely departure, there's no longer anyone maintaining the axis of the heavens or the navel of the earth. Because of this, Erebus - whose darkness is usually kept firmly in the spaces between the realms - begins to spill out into both the heavens and the earth. The beasts of Erebus (referring primarily to the Seven Curses - Old Age, Misery, Deceit, Violence etc etc) consume, torment and destroy whatever is inside of Erebus' darkness and Ithaca, as one of the islands on the far edge of the world, was one of the very first places that were devoured in this manner. Odysseus was visiting the Argives at the time for a festival and had left the pregnant Penelope at home since he didn't want her to suffer through the voyage in discomfort. He only finds out about the destruction of Ithaca after it had already been consumed when Athena personally interrupts a feast to warn both him and Diomedes. Needless to say, Odysseus, like everyone else, assumes that everyone on Ithaca has died and thusly is a very, very different man in terms of humour and comport. A part of him still stubbornly clings to the belief that Penelope managed to escape - that she was smart and resourceful enough to see the end approaching and do her best to escape - but that doesn't stop him from being dour for the majority of the time. Diomedes does his best to keep his spirits up in the meantime. Without him around, Odysseus is something of a black hole when it comes to the oppressiveness of his discontent though he does manage to lighten up when in the company of Helen, Clytemnestra and even Menelaus on occasion.
#ginger answers asks#ginger chats about greek myths#Diomedes did a lot to coax Odysseus out of his initial shock when Athena delivered the news#Pretty much the only thing that stuck was Ody getting into the habit of whittling wooden horses and ships#He used to speak to Penelope's stomach and tell a bunch of stories about his youth and adventures#Now he speaks to himself while he's whittling because it makes him feel like he's still speaking to Telemachus#Ody doesn't grieve Penelope at all btw He refuses to behave like she's dead until the gods personally tell him or he sees a body#DIomedes very much thinks it's unhealthy and is very worried for his bestie but he's very deliberately left that topic for Helen#and Clytemnestra to deal with. tell me your Ink headcanons NOW 😼😼😼
You're... giving me permission.... to share my ink headcanons.
well get ready
Talked about this one already but I'll share it again: I think Broomie is semi sentient. I like to think at first Ink didn't know that though, but still talked to broomie anyway. So, regardless of this fact Ink probably would've talked to broomie.
He's good at encouraging people but not comforting people. If that makes sense? (projection much pfttt)
If you ran your hand over the "tattoo" marks it have a slight divot in it. Like a crack in a road. Probably because... in my hc they're literally semi healed cracks.
They're is talented in many types of art not just one. Hes talented in singing, dancing, fashion design, mechanics, and architecture! Really the only one he struggles with is well... cooking. Do NOT let that man in a kitchen (I mean he's immortal why would he not learn multiple artistic skills?)
Y'know how canon!swap climbs on people because hes insecure about his height? I think Ink does the same thing.
(More yappening under the cut)
Deep down he feels like something is missing... what he doesn't know is he's missing his home, his AU. Sometimes hes goes on a search universe to universe in search of "something important he can't remember" but can never find it. Until he gets bored, forgets what he's doing or gets preoccupied with something else.
He likes switching up his looks so he may give himself a tail or paws or claws with his brush. Maybe he even changes the color of his limbs sometimes (that's more a crack hc though). He gives themself a new outfit at any chance he can get. (Edit: I actually imagine one of the reasons he would get excited for multiverseal events is mainly because he gets to show off a new outfit for that event. He goes ALL out)
Due to his dulled sense of pain often he isn't aware he's injured unless it's pretty severe. So he may just go about their day with injuries they don't know about. Typically Dream or Swap have to be like "dude you have a crack in your skull."
After that one comic with Swap and Ink, Swap bandaged up his skull despite Ink insisting he didn't need it. Mainly because Swap didn't know Ink could heal themself and just thought Ink was being humble. Everytime he went to go take it off, Swap would freak about it hasn't had enough time to heal. Until Ink did a more through "I have a brush bro chill" (not ink accurate dialogue).
He's super flexible!! like contortionist level of flexibility.
Oddly specific but I think they're the type to consume all sorts of fan content and enjoy it. Completely ooc and fanon stuff too. He would be the type to read a fic and go "I would NOT say that" with a giggle and write a heartfelt comment anyway.
If you know homestuck... Nepeta has a shipping wall. I think Ink would have something similar (projection?? blasphemy!). Maybe in his sketchbook or smth. I mean do you see how he reacts around his dads smh 😔😮💨. He doesn't take it all that seriously though... LMAO. But I feel like he would be like "🏳️🌈?" y'know? Is this making any sense? I hope LMAOOO
Ink knows being called "child" annoys Dream so when Dream's like "I'm not a child I'm 500 years old" he just uses different synonyms of kid " heya youngster" " hi boy" stuff like that to annoy him. Just to mess with him.
He loves "aggressive affection." Like he bites people. He also likes to be bitten (not in a sus way but like in a cat like way). He loves bear hugs. Stuff like that.
He loves being drawn on, like literally. He loves the sensation of art supplies on his bones. Particularly the texture of paint and pencil are the ones he enjoys the most. He draws designs and stuff on his bones sometimes.
He has that cartoon ability to walk on walls or the ceiling and completely defy gravity. How? Cartoon skelly powers ig.

Hey, i wanted to say two things. The first one is, I adore your analysis so much. You definitely have so much knowledge about the project sekai lore than i would ever have. And secondly, do you believe if Craft egg is going to confirm any of the ships in the game? It would be really nice if it happens, but i highly doubt it.
First off, thank you!
Secondly, I don't really like talking about shipping because, y'know, but also free pass if I'm talking about canon stuff
it's really hard to say. Like, really. I'm assuming here that you mean confirm as in the characters dating within the story, and not as in characters having mutual feelings, because for that there's a different answer. Games in the sort of idol-rhythm genre tend to never actually establish romantic relationships and just keep teasing stuff, because money and I guess if you never confirm anything then you never alienate a portion of your fanbase.
Like look at bandori, which has CHU2 and PAREO who clearly have feelings for each other (iirc it's outright stated on one side at least?) and are seemingly dating although it's just. never actually confirmed. same with a few other characters. i know this happens in enstars as well but i only ever played it for a week so i can't name anything specific but do i need to you probably get what i'm on about.
though, there are games in the genre that don't do this, namely D4DJ. But D4DJ is sort of a black sheep in this genre because like. it's really queer, like actually queer. like they've got characters who are dating and outright stated to not like men and like another girl in the cast. which isn't something that's common. at all.
and all these examples from other games are queer, and of course, prsk is mixed-gender, i'm just using them as examples (and also all the couples in prsk most likely to ever be official are queer). prsk being mixed kinda simultaneously makes getting characters together easier and harder for them. because on the one hand, do i even need to explain why straight couples are easier to slap in a story? and on the other hand, gay ships are far more popular in the fandom, and are generally the ones that get more content in the game because of that, so pulling a fast one and suddenly making a random m/f couple canon would piss off a lot of the fanbase (i'm talking about vbs and mmj here before anyone says anything).
so really it comes down to whether the writers just carry on as they are, or do something unexpected. and like, maybe they will? i mean, there's airi and shizuku who are very obviously attracted to each other, minori and haruka who i don't think i need to explain, and then an & kohane, akito & toya and arata & souma who are all implied to be soulmates. so there is definitely already stuff there if they ever decide to do something. and if not, then there's stuff there still I guess.
oh yeah also An refers to the events of BFST as a date and the way the conversation is phrased heavily implies she means it romantically but she's the only person who calls it that and no one is actually implied to be in a romantic relationship outside that event (or even in it really) but there you go. oh and shizuku and airi go on a date within the story as well.
#asks#mod talks#my personal & biased opinion on the whole thing is that i think it would be nice because queer couples in media is still lacking#and also i wanna see a game other than the dj one be bold enough to write romantic couples lol#but also. fanbase. i don't trust them with it. i know everyone knows EN is a hellhole but JP is too actually#it's a complicated subject from both a biased and unbiased pov

I know this may sound like a silly question, but specifically for the undertale version of Asgore: what coud a partner do to help him become more assertive? Asking because I'm planning to ship him with an OC and I still despise how basically in the ending Toriel gets to verbally tear intro him and he doesn't bother to defend himself (specially with the "just get one soul and leave to kill 6 more ppl to break the barrier" wich she coud have done herself but refused to while living inside her own little bubble ignoring the suffering of her fellos monsters, I undestand she was grieving but I feel it coud have been done without making her seem on the right and nobody speaking agaist her). I also know that by doing this he may appear out of character or that "he changed just for his partner", but knowing that a partner can help you to change for the better while highliting you best personality traits, and I was wondering wich coud be the most coherent way (my plan is for them to spend at least 5 years together, and that Asgore also helps his parter change for the better since they arrive having strong biases agaist monsters).
I don't think this is a silly question at all! It's something I've tackled somewhat in my Spadesgore fics, the idea that someone's habits rub off on Asgore and what can seem like a negative change to outsiders (him being more closed off and assertive) is actually a positive one in the long run because he actually, y'know, gets a spine and stops putting other people's needs above his own.
With Undertale specifically it's a VERY complicated question because I feel like step 1 of any Asgore development in Undertale is that he needs to fully face the brunt of his actions. I'm actually somewhat of the opposite opinion to you about the "confrontation" between him and Toriel, I think the narrative very clearly spells out that his "violence when you're faced with violence" response was the INCORRECT one (while Toriel choosing pacifism in the face of a bloodthirsty nation was, arguably, the least morally dubious choice any character could've made), but Asgore never... confronted the root of that problem? He essentially got a slap on the wrist for the murder of 6 children, and while that WAS narratively satisfying for a game about forgiveness and letting go of the past, I think a bit of self-discipline is in order for Asgore, post the events of the game. Him confronting HIMSELF rather than relying on someone else to do it for him is kind of pivotal to that, in my opinion, because this isn't something a relationship can mend FOR him. Let me elaborate.
WARNING - since this post is analyzing Asgore, there's implications of suicidal ideation, but it's not discussed at length. And, fair warning, this post is less "proper character analysis" and more "wayward speculation based on narrative beats for the sake of shipping" <3
While Asgore is the type of person to feel borderline incomplete when not in a relationship with someone (see: all of his behavior in Deltarune; and in Undertale the way he just Stops Speaking once it's clear Toriel wants nothing to do with him, it's like he's just entirely shut himself out of the conversation as if he has nothing to offer anymore, only ever speaking in vague platitudes until the final boss is defeated and he's osmosed into the friend group), contrary to what he thinks a relationship Won't Fix Him NOR his issues around self-worth. It's something he has to tackle on his own because, if he enters another relationship without doing so, he's gonna end up in the same cycle of trying to impress his partner, exhausting himself, and putting his partner between a rock and a hard place because he's both extremely emotionally needy while NEVER communicating his needs properly, closing himself off while desperate for intimacy.
It's borderline masochistic, his tendencies to just passively wait for outsiders to judge, reward, punish, and practically command his every action. It's why he's kind of a bad leader? He's community oriented, but in that way where he wants to please everyone instead of enacting lasting change, because (I think) he can't really envision a greater good because he's got anxiety up the ass. He's REactive rather than ACTIVE, and while that's typically not THAT big of a deal (again, his Deltarune self as an example of how you can have a normal-ish life even with that weird mentality), when you're put in the position of a leader and then refuse to make conscious choices out of a fear of hurting someone, you're inevitably going to hurt Everyone, which is exactly what happened in Undertale. I guess an easy way to make Asgore a little more self-assured is, paradoxically, give him less power. This may seem antithetical, but if he's allowed to, like, sit and breathe for a minute without everything resting on his shoulders, and small, inconsequential decisions are up to him without the title of "King" looming over him, it might make him feel more confident in THOSE choices, specifically. This doesn't fix the core issue, though, more just gives him a safety net where he can hide from his royal problems with someone who sees him as more than just his title and duty, which is valid (and honestly really cozy and cute), but I'm here to break people and put them back together, so strap in.
You mentioned your OC is a human who has a lot of bias against monsters initially, so allow me to run (a mile) with that for a minute. You probably already have a meetcute in mind for them, but it's honestly a really good setup, I can't help but throw my two (or three) cents into it. It forces our POV character (the OC) to go through considerable change throughout the events of the narrative (whether you fic this or not you've already implemented character development into your romance plot and I Adore that), and in turn a changing perspective on Asgore himself. Try to think of things a human might hold him accountable for, justly or otherwise, someone who heard of mythical monsters and a terrible king who slays children. Your OC might start off somewhat siding with Toriel at first (as she was the only monster who attempted to SAVE humans rather than kill them), but gradually grow to sympathise with Asgore once they get to know him, not just because he's a walking pity party but because that human and Asgore might have more in common than they first thought. (This is where I run out of info on your OC and can't really fill in the blanks LMAO go wild with this part. It can be something as simple as gardening or something as deep rooted and psychological as "the need to please other people in order to feel like you're worth anyone's time". Bonus points if it's both and the gardening is symbolic of the psychological issues.)
From Asgore's perspective, though, this would be utterly baffling. To this day, I don't doubt he somewhat idolises Toriel, he clearly still longs to be close with her, so to see someone (a HUMAN no less) stop empathising with her feelings and instead side with his own? He'd think they're nuts! ... But also, it'd be deeply validating in that guilty-pleasure kind of way (guilty because he doesn't think he deserves redemption). It actually starts turning gears in his head, though... If someone in a position like that, someone belonging to a nation he's hurt so badly, can see the GOOD in him and try to nurture a bond with him despite it all... doesn't it mean he's genuinely worth something? Even if he himself can't see it yet?
(This is, you may note, similar to what happens with Frisk in most fan-plots, but also highlights where I think Asgore's "redemption" in Undertale falls a bit short on the character level. Frisk never really gets to spend time with Asgore, since it's narratively irrelevant whether they like the guy or not, because the point of their conflict is that Frisk refuses to kill him, and refuses to be killed BY him. It's a conflict that re-states the core moral of the game, while also partly dismissing a genuine bond between the characters because it's necessary for it to stay vague for them to properly represent the narrative forces that they do (humanity and monster-kind). The popular fanon is that Asgore adopts Frisk similarly to the way Toriel does, but, in the game there's literally nothing to support that. The equally valid interpretation is that Frisk sees Asgore as just Some Guy they're lukewarm with for the sake of not kickstarting another monster-human war, even if they genuinely don't like him on a personal level, just like Toriel doesn't anymore. Because, again, there's nothing in the game to support Frisk being besties with literally EVERYONE, they just hang out with monsters sometimes and Don't Kill Them, it's not a high bar.)
IF you don't want to take the angle of your OC siding with Toriel (if the monster bias is THAT bad in the beginning), I'd instead propose really hammering home the monster hatred. Just by existing, by being someone hostile to Asgore over something he DIDN'T expect to get hostility over (the fact that he's a monster, and not the fact that he's a murderer) would maybe make him question why he WANTED to be told he was irredeemable, and why it's so strange to receive that input for the wrong reasons. Maybe he tries convincing the human that, actually, monsters are good and HE'S the one who's to blame for everything bad, and when he's brushed off with "no all monsters suck" it just baffles him more. Bonus points if later on it hits him like a truck that your OC developing feelings for HIM specifically made them get over their monster hatred. He thinks it's a case of "if you learn to love the worst of something you'll love the best too" but then has to come face to face with the idea that he ISN'T the worst of monster kind! That they actually prefer HIS company over other monsters! And not even for superficial reasons! And maybe there's still prejudices to overcome with the human, but they're trying FOR him, not in spite of him, and it's yet another little sign from the heavens to Asgore that maybe, just maybe, he's not as irredeemable as he thought.
Another potential avenue, that's less directly correlated with shipping, is to give him a kid that is his responsibility alone to take care of. Whether that be a literal adopted child, or a kid he has to impromptu take care of for a while, I feel like having someone (anyone, really) other than himself to provide for sort of nudges his priorities back in place (even if it doesn't really dismantle the core of his issues). (My reasoning for this being a potential avenue is how much Asgore's let himself go in Deltarune when no-one lives with him, juxtaposed to his well-maintained house in Undertale where he's constantly taking visitors and patiently waiting for his wife to come back.) Something small and defenseless that depends on him for support and protection is something that could really make him realise how much his well-being actually means in the grand scheme of things, that even if it isn't pleasant he has to stand his ground if only for the sake of this child that depends on him for literally everything (which was, incidentally, also his motivation for starting the war in the first place - avenging the children he failed to protect with a fiery vengeance as the only concrete decision he made in his time as king (that we know of)).
Maybe the point of contact/conflict between your OC and Asgore in this scenario is someone who doesn't believe he should be allowed to take care of a child (what with the 6 dead in his basement), and while the feud may start as mild, it might get more and more out of hand and forces Asgore to actually put his foot down and Demand custody rather than ask politely, maybe because the kid in question trusts him and nobody else for backstory reasons, or because they're literally His Kid (Chara slots in really well into this role IMO but you don't have to go with that route if you don't want to tackle revival shenaniganery). This is, imo, much harder to execute in literary form? (If you're not gonna fic this, ignore this part) It bumps up the conflict from slowburn to full on enemies-to-lovers, even if it speedruns the process of Asgore getting a spine, and if you can pull that off hats off to you but I always struggle with proper enemies to lovers with no intermediary of "friends" in between.
IN ANY CASE, past the "will they - won't they" phase, once they're actually together, I'd suggest your OC lightly nudge Asgore into that self-assuredness he's desperately missing, and moreover I suggest it not be on purpose. While it's probably the healthier option to talk to your partner if they're having self-esteem issues, this is fiction and I love drama, if you expected anything else you came to the wrong person, and ALSO this is Asgore we're talking about. He's the king of "never talk about my emotions, ever" so even if something is brought to the forefront he'd probably just apologise and privately cry about it without fixing literally anything. It would be more impactful (imo) if Asgore chose to adopt some of the habits of his partner without him being prodded over it, or pushed into it. At first, small things, like actually asking for the pickles in his order himself (/ref, meme), but slowly it might evolve into him realising just how much he's been neglecting himself. Scenario example of what I mean - his partner has actual self-preservation instincts and can help themself when in a tough spot, and Asgore is caught off guard when that same kindness is offered to him (as the king of monsters, his subjects revered him so heavily they kind of forgot he can actually get hurt or might need help with otherwise ordinary things, and Asgore stopped helping himself along the way because of it).
A different scenario might be something benign, like an insult or backhanded compliment Asgore brushes off, but his partner doesn't. Asgore might hold the (correct) position that, as a political figure, there's literally no point in trying to stave off every insult or mean opinion, and (incorrectly) asserts it doesn't have an effect on him overall. Because, in reality, it DOES stick. He has a hard time shaking off disapproval and hatred when he's carrying around so much guilt (juxtaposed to how genuinely confident he seems in Gerson's stories of Asgore before his children fell down and before Toriel left, when Asgore could ACTUALLY roll with the punches and not mind public embarrassment because the opinion of the masses didn't matter to him as much as it does now), and maybe his partner can point out to him that he seems weirdly more fixated on the actual Contents of the insult than they do. Where they just didn't like someone's tone or intent, Asgore's actually focusing on What they said, and it's a clear indication of the way he compartmentalises and somewhat takes in every criticism he's ever received. Because depression and low self esteem just does that to a motherfucker sometimes.
Overall there's also a sort of... tricky line to tread when trying to write around/through one of the character's defining flaws. Asgore was always described as a pushover, so what are you really left with when trying to override that fatal flaw that makes him what he is? This sort of trope, "your strongest attribute is your biggest weakness", stems all the way back from ancient Greece because its a GOLDEN trope, and when making fan content I think there's an interesting line that can be drawn. Asgore's best quality is his friendliness and approachable-ness, so how do we NOT diminish that while actually diminishing the FLAW part of that core character trait? Maybe Asgore's more confident and self-assured now that he has a partner that supports him basically unconditionally, but ALSO he still cracks under pressure easily and gives into demands if pressed enough. Maybe he stands his ground more and can actually tell people off without being a total pushover, but ALSO he ends up feeling a lot of guilt over doing so and maybe regresses back into old habits soon after.
Because, again, a relationship won't fix him, and to me that's part of the appeal. Instead of finding someone to "make him whole", it's more about finding someone that's gonna be there for him during the good and the bad days, someone who maybe fills in for some of the traits he lacks, but never overrides what makes him who he is. Because, let's be honest, him being a pushover is probably what allows him to properly consider a relationship with someone who started off so heavily biased against him. Having little self esteem paved the way for him to not dismiss this person outright, opening his arms to someone who started off with genuine hatred towards him, and it's not a good habit(!!), but it's woven into his vary nature as a character, and I always find it interesting to see that push and pull between progress and loving even the bad parts of someone's personality. Again, especially because it's fiction, there's a lot to explore when it comes to that line of thinking, "do I want to make you better or am I trying to change a fundamental part of you"? I don't think Asgore would be abandoning his nature by having a spine and not taking shit from literally everyone, BUT it might be a line of thinking HE falls back on, because he's had literally hundreds of years of this habit built up, it's gonna be hard to make any progress without immediately taking two steps back again. Especially because it's Asgore, he's basically a smiling boulder that refuses to move or change (and I say that affectionately).
TL;DR:
I think finding a way to instill a sense of Inherent Worth in Asgore is a good way to shake him into being a little more assertive. It's what I did in my own fics (and a lot of this post was me re-treading the same ideas with different characters to pair Asgore with), and the premise of someone who dislikes him from the get-go but learns to love him in time is (in my opinion) the best vessel to do that through. Because, if this person, who means a lot to him, can get over their biases and love him, (like ACTUALLY love him, not the way his subjects love their king, but the way a person loves another person) doesn't that mean there's worth to him being himself, and not just what people expect of him? Is the fact that he's beloved by someone he loves not reason enough to try and survive another day, and thrive in the long run?
It's difficult to instill worth in a character that's had hundreds of years of literal and figurative dehumanization on his hands, but it has to start with small things. Him being more than just a king. Then, him being more than just a friend, more than just a person you're eventually going to grow tired of or disgusted with, and eventually someone who doesn't need constant approval to feel like he's allowed to breathe. Small kindnesses go a long way, and if he starts to see himself in someone he wants to protect, or ends up in a position where he's being provided for by someone he loves, it can build up those ideas of worth and (ironically) independence, because it's less about pleasing a crowd and more about Not Dying because he's actually not that bad to have around in the first place.

PART 2: Outside the Circle Edition
Hiii we're back, I slept and now my hair is bleached. The events are unrelated, but imagine if they weren't. Let's continue <3 This one might be a bit more controversial than the last one, because unlike with the wizard x wizard ships, there are certain ones that I do dislike this time around. I'm not sure to what extent I've said some of these things before, I used to be kinda scared of. Having opinions. It be like that sometimes idk
I'm gonna start with some Black Circle x Major fairy thoughts, because I have those! There's some interesting ones!!
Sibylla x Gantlos has some incredible art, genuinely adorable. I don't mind them at all. Actually I think I've seen Sibylla with a couple of them, but her and Gantlos >> imo. Nebula has been shipped as well, I remember at least Ogron x Nebula and Duman x Nebula, but there might be more idk. It sure is interesting, can't deny that, especially depending on when the relationship happens. Ig that'd be the case with all wizard x terrestrial fairy ships though- There are way more combinations than I'm listing rn, but I just wanna say. Making Anagan specifically someone's ex. Would be extremely funny to me. Bonus points if it's Diana.
Moving on to wizards x specialists. Those have entered my peripheral a couple of times.
I've come across Ogron x Helia, like once. Doesn't do anything for me, but if we're asking what I know? There you go. Add it to the list ig. There's also Riven x Duman (duriven), some of their art serves cunt fr, it has no right to do that. But I once had a joke conversation with someone about them sharing a dad and now I think about that sometimes when the topic of them comes up. Maybe they could have a funny friendship, but I haven't consumed any Riven content in a hot minute so who knows. Another one I actually have something to say about is Anagan x Duman x Timmy?? Terrorised by both of them the whole season, which isn't the dealbreaker, but. I already made this joke in the previous part idc Duman and Anagan really pulled a "My boyfriend and I love your vibe fr" on his ass, that's what this feels like. Intrigued! Timmy’s gonna get eaten alive though. Poor guy.
Anyway! I'm generally not the biggest fan of shipping them with specialists, maybe I just don't know enough idk- However. I cannot move on without mentioning. The dreaded Nabu x Duman (naman). Now, I don't remember who started it, not counting the fics that already existed, but I know who has been actively encouraging and enjoying this in my own social circle. So really it's her fault. The ship is funny to me, I can't say it's not. Just something about Duman going "I'd love a man that could destroy me. Like just straight up kill me lol." and it being TRUE, because mind you, Nabu killing him is a vital part of this ship. It's so stupid fr. 2/10 I do recommend.
Next is the big one. Black Circle x Winx. Ngl I struggle to keep track of all the combinations I've seen at this point, also fear having to make a part 3 so I'm just gonna. Speedrun through a couple.
Least offensive, so to say, is probably Flora x Anagan (floranagan?). I don't ship it, but I get why others might! Flora x Ogron (flogron??) has a fair bit of stuff as well, that one I get slightly less, but Flora slay ig? I don't really like any of Musa's ships, I know she at least has Musa x Gantlos and Musa x Duman, but eh. They're not for me. Neither is Duman x Tecna, I think about that combination sometimes. Also legally cannot move on without at least mentioning Stella x Duman (dumella). Duman gets around for REAL. Still interesting as a duo, but in terms of shipping I could really take or leave them. They're fine, but I'm sticking with a platonic route if any at all.
Most of these I'm just. Not the biggest fan of. Wouldn't say I'm a straight up hater, but you're probably never gonna see content of it from me, y'know??
What I am a hater of, a proud hater, is Ogron x Roxy. Some people say the winx are too young, that's fair, sure- But Roxy?? That is a CONFIRMED teenage girl. Shipped with a facial-hair-having man. At least an adult, possibly centuries old. Same goes for Roxy x Duman as well btw, the points still apply, minus the facial hair. Not a fan at all. It's a shame too, because there's plenty of fun dynamics you can try out with them that don't involve romance. Actually that goes for a lot of Black Circle x whoever outside the Circle ships.
Enter stage left, Black circle x other villains.
Starting off with the Trix, and kinda speedrunning them too, a lot of their ships I’d prefer to keep platonic as well, I think that could be fun. Don’t really get where Ogron x Stormy came from, they’re like the least likely duo to me. Maybe that’s the appeal, maybe I should brush up on my Trix knowledge. Darcy could probably have some fun dynamics as well, but again, not necessarily in a romantic way. I’ve seen her pull both Anagan and Duman though, go off bestie. Actually so has Stormy. At the same time. Icy’s ships are kinda meh to me in this, I’ve seen a couple, they just don’t really click for me. They should all hang out though, the general collab potential isn’t lost on me.
Next up! Valtor. Lots of people out here making them fight, which, valid!! But have you considered. All of them getting brunch. The Black Circle inviting Valtor over for tea. Give the man some wizard friends. Valtor x Ogron is kinda fun, but they lowkey strike me as a couple that would never last long term. If that makes sense. Public apology for Valtor x Duman (dumaltor) btw. One day I’ll explain how that happened and my involvement. Pinky promise, I still have a ship bingo to bring back so I’ll do it there.
Dishonourable mention to ships with Kalshara. Sort of honourable mention to Ogron x Jason, not a villain ship but idk where else to put it. Brought up by a friend, they’re facial hair besties, it’s fun and silly.
I’m leaving it at this for now. Remember! Do NOT underestimate the power of friendship!! Also pls don’t block me byeeeee
#i'll figure out how to tag this in a bit#i need to stretch my neck#hunched over like some creature rn

The Difference Between a Gray and Coloured Photograph-2
CHAPTER II
The clock struck 12:00, and still, there was no response from her. Had Celine possibly turned down her invitation? Was the anger from their last heated encounter lingering, causing a rift between them? Because of their last meeting which was a dispute last year? Greta's heart pounded with nervous anticipation, dreading the possibility. She had been waiting in the hotel lobby since 11:05, the weight in her chest growing heavier with each passing minute.
Surrounded by unfamiliar faces, the elite of Concordia, Greta felt out of place. She should have been in Century Mile, alongside her fellow inventors. But no, ever since she disembarked from the ship two weeks ago, she had been whisked away to Wolf Street by her companions. If only it had been someone like Celine, Orville, or even Stanley who had found her first, then she wouldn't feel so disoriented and lost.
Fidgeting with her pocket watch, checking the time repeatedly, countless people passed by, offering their warm greetings, messages of hope, and adoration. Greta could only manage a nod and a murmured thank you in response.
"Ah, Miss Gundwood! It's delightful to see you here again this year!"
"Your camera has the potential to revolutionize the world of photography!"
"We're absolutely thrilled to have you, Miss. Hopefully, your camera will be the one to grace the shelves in mass production."
Each comment carried a mix of excitement and expectation, but Greta's heart yearned for one specific voice, the one she longed to hear above all others. She yearned for Celine's arrival, desperately hoping that their meeting would happen.
Her eyes darting to different directions, Greta tries to find someone to ask if there were any trains that were to leave Century Mile and make their way to Wolf Street. Perhaps Celine took one of the trains? It is not possible for her to ride a bone-shaker all the way to the hotel.
"Excuse me?" Greta called out to the bartender, who was engrossed in conversation with a man, their exchange carrying a hint of flirtation. The bartender turned his head upon hearing his name and made his way over to Greta, calling back to the man as he did so.
"Just a moment, Joseph dear! Sorry about that, Miss Gundwood. I was attending to Mr. Pryor there. What can I get you?" he asked.
Greta clasped her hands tightly together, trying to suppress the growing nervousness rising in her throat. "I was wondering if any trains are expected to arrive here today, particularly from Century Mile. You see, I'm expecting someone," she explained.
The bartender, who she now knew as Tucker from his nametag, rubbed his chin thoughtfully. He called out to the man across the bar. "I'm not entirely certain, ma'am. Joseph, mind telling me if any trains were due to leave Century Mile and arrive at the station today?"
"I reckon there might be, but the one at 11:05 could arrive around 12:00 or so. Century Mile to Wolf Street isn't a quick jaunt, y'know?" Joseph replied.
"Well, there you have it, Miss Gundwood," Tucker relayed the information. He turned back to Greta with a smile. "I've noticed you've been sitting here at the lobby bar for at least an hour now. Are you sure you don't want a drink?"
Greta waved off the offer, her nerves still palpable. "Oh no, thank you. I'm fine," she replied. With that, Tucker left her to continue his conversation. So, there was a train on its way. There was a chance that Celine might be aboard it. Greta held onto hope, knowing that while it wasn't guaranteed, the possibility remained that Celine was making her way to the hotel at that very moment.
The thought then suddenly struck Greta. What would she even say when they finally came face to face? After all, an entire year had come and gone since their last exchange, and it had concluded on far from pleasant terms. Winning the competition last year had come at a steep price. Celine, in the heat of the evening after the event, had stormed up to her without a moment's hesitation, unleashing a torrent of anger, claiming that Greta was undeserving of the prize. The words stung as Celine vehemently declared that the distinction between a gray and colored photograph held no significance whatsoever.
"To hell with her words," Greta muttered bitterly under her breath. In her staunch opinion, it was utterly senseless to witness the portrayal of happiness in a grayscale photograph. She had a passion for photography, believing it to have potential revolutionization if one no longer saw gray. A colorless world, they claimed, would be devoid of vibrancy and liveliness. If there was no room for innovation or any semblance of progress, what purpose would there be in capturing the world at its supposed pinnacle?
But then again, why did she even invite Celine to come anyway? Other than being lost, deep down, she didn’t want to say it. Greta missed Celine. Their time together before their feud was always so scarce, always being cut short. Sadly, it may be the same case to Celine as well, Greta only remembered the rivalry between them. Something genuine between them seemed to be lost, forgotten.
Celine, a woman of remarkable strength, far surpassing her own. Greta found inspiration in Celine's unwavering resolve, prompting her to cherish her independence even more. In Celine's presence, Greta felt a surge of inner strength. Whenever they attended conventions for inventors, whether in Germany or America, the landscape was dominated by men. In those moments, Greta couldn't help but feel slightly out of place. However, when Celine stood by her side, that unease evaporated.
Faint memories resurfaced of the times they collaborated on each other's inventions or the days they spent together in Concordia. There may have been a photograph of them together, but that seems lost as well. Despite the bitterness that lingers, a part of Greta longs for those moments once more.
Greta let out a sigh, her gaze fixed upon the polished entrance door, anticipating Celine's arrival. "Oh Celine, wherever you wander, I hope your path leads you to me," she mused, her words slightly tinged with longing. She cleared her throat, feeling the dryness caused by spending an hour at the lobby.
“Tucker, excuse me! Pardon the interruption, but could I trouble you for a Mint Julep?"
________________________________________________________________________________________
As the train whisked Celine away, she gazed pensively out of the compartment window. Glancing up at the clock above, it displayed 12:15. "I might arrive a little late, perhaps around 12:45 or so," she mused. Then something struck her, causing her stomach to sink. She hadn't sent a reply to Greta yet.
Her hand slapped against her face in frustration. "Damn it, she might not even know I'm coming. Well, let it be a surprise then," Celine muttered, trying to reconcile herself with the situation.
Leaning her head against her hand, she watched as the passing scenery gradually transformed, the rural town fading into the distance. Overhead, she caught glimpses of grand buildings, each exuding an air of opulence befitting the finest of Concordia. It came as no surprise, after all, as Wolf Street stood as the pinnacle of wealth and influence in the city.
How had Greta ended up there, of all places? As an inventor, she should have been in Century Mile. Could it be that her growing reputation had garnered the attention of the rich, inevitably drawing her to that esteemed locale?
Leaning against the window of the train compartment, Celine let out a soft sigh. "Regardless of the reason, it's rather amusing to imagine her in that place. I simply can't wait to see her," she whispered to herself. But there was that question.
What would happen if she did see Greta? It was bound to be awkward, no doubt. But for now, she decided to leave it up to chance, hoping that fate would steer their encounter in the right direction.
One thought remained steadfast in Celine's mind — she genuinely missed Greta. Despite the lingering bitterness, the mere thought of reuniting with her old friend brought a flicker of joy to Celine.

Rules and guidelines before you ask/play
This is both an ask and roleplay blog, hence the name "Ask and Play". You are free to either do a roleplay or shoot an ask.
This takes place in an alternative universe, so expect a dead character being alive and well. However, references to canon events and informations will also apply, but anything else will still make it as an AU for the sake of being fanon.
Ships are not considered as canon as it follows the SMG4 canon. However, references or brief snippets of may appear, but nothing will be acknowledged as canon. You can ask any character questions related to canon events or inquire about crushes or feelings towards others. But again ships are not considered as canon as it follows the SMG4 canon.
There might be characters included in this account, but as of now this account only has SMG4's minion. You are allowed to ask and roleplay with them. But, do not request your favorite character to be here as I have the responsibility to add multiple characters, as well as those sprites weren't created by me.
Responses shouldn't be taken seriously as all of them are fictional and represent how a specific character would respond. Kindness is a good thing and all, but not all characters are written to be that way, so please don't be discouraged if a character's response seems to be mean.
Magical anons are allowed! However, you can't use them after 10 asks. This may affect storylines, but there's nothing major. I won't answer anything beyond my abilities to control literally anything, especially if a plot was ruined.
NSFW contents are not allowed as the owner is still a minor. Jesus fucking Christ, keep these away from my blog. Jokes are fine as long as you didn't take it too far. If you're looking for it, this isn't for you.
Please bear in mind as there is only one mod (which is me, @puzzlevision).
There might be dark stuffs out there (because y'know, it's SMG4 lol).
Some stuff may be out of character.
Credits to @/fleevyu for the sprites!

I apologize for bringing up discourse that I legitimately am trying to not unleash yet again, but... Well, it hit my dash, I'm gonna clear things up and word vomit this out so I don't just get into fights with strangers on a subject I'm trying VERY hard to just... put behind me because I'm just spent on trying to understand how things shook out.
ON PAPER, maybe you could argue that TLJ is not sympathetic to Kylo, and sure, Rey and Kylo as a pairing did not spontaneously appear only after the second movie of the trilogy.
TLJ is still responsible for the massive spike of these things.
Let's start with the second point - that ship was certainly around as of TFA, sure. But the audience for it was... if not more restrained, then at least a little less... INTENSE. Y'know, with the big mystery of Rey's parentage, there was a legitimate concern that maybe she'd turn out to be Luke's daughter, or the secret second Solo child, something that gave her and Kylo a blood relation. So they were there, they were certainly annoying for anyone trying to not interact, but they weren't the overbearing EVERYTHING of the response.
But then TLJ made everything revolve around the two of them, doing its damnedest to shove Finn out of the picture entirely, after the previous film had been spend building up the Finn-Rey relationship. It spends all this time, emphasizing the similarities between Rey and Kylo... Which, honestly? Was also FINN'S place in the prior film, because Finn was the only one who had done anything when Snoke says "there has been an awakening." The events that made Finn defect from the First Order were actions outright ordered by Kylo himself. Finn explicitly came from nothing, given that he was a rank and file stormtrooper, given only a number, not even a name, by the First Order, while, of course, Kylo is the son of Rebellion/New Republic heroes. Kylo was trying to make Rey his counterpoint, but TFA plays FINN as such.
Likewise... Why does Rey even CARE about Kylo? Her experience with him is him kidnapping and torturing her, killing her father figure (and his actual father - I'll be back to this point late), and grievously wounding Finn, the first person she's had who would come back to her. And also leaving him for dead on Starkiller, a planet that exploded a short time later - why isn't she surprised he's even alive, let alone why does she decide to bring him back to the light?
TLJ was what gave the spotlight to the Rey and Kylo relationship, so yeah, it's fair to call that the spark that spurred on the worst of that pairing's attitude and fans.
And then to the first point... Again. On paper, sure, you can argue that the story is not sympathetic to him because of, say, that final shot of him having attained the highest point of the fascism and found it hollow and empty, cutting him off from those who offered him kindness...
But it doesn't change how the film still goes face first into what tends to be call the Satire Paradox, the inability for those being criticized by the media to understand that THEY are the punchline. Or the trope "Do Not Do This Cool Thing," of putting forward something negative, but in such framing that the things it's criticizing are actually things that are positive. This is a common concern for anything that centers on the calling out fascism, of how in exposing it and bringing it to light, those already inclined to it will take it as a recruitment film, rather than a warning - we see this with American History X, a film meant to put the spotlight on and show the dangers of hatred and neo-natsees specifically, but you know who love the imagery of American History X? The neo-natsees. Fascism is pagentry, it's about visuals and the appearance of the machine, so if you give them something that looks cool, it will be all they focus on, ignoring the message of how the fascism is bad, actually.
That's something I've been pointing out as of late in my other non-tagged Star Wars takes, that, up until Andor, a series it did not produce until 2022, Disney has tried very hard to soften the edges of Imperial fascism (an act that, genuinely, I do attribute to Disney wanting to make a buck of Imperial merch and utilizing the masked Imperials as mascot figures in their parks, rather than the more individualized and distinctive characters on the side of the heroes, as opposed to being intentionally and actively endorsing these things, but it is still a problem), and this is obvious in how the sequels are so much the story of Kylo, a fact that begins HERE. Where the film spends much time focusing on and caring about HIS inner conflict. It's what comes from having him remove and destroy his helmet - now he is not a faceless figure, we get to see his eyes and expressions as the film spends so much time building up his struggles and story, portray his inner struggles now that we can see his pensive glances and such (there's a reason the saying is that the eyes are the windows to a person's soul - actors often cite their eyes as a valuable acting tool to convey emotions).
It's played as a tragedy when he will not go with Rey and abandon the First Order. His fall is treated as something done to him and not a conscious choice on his part to turn on the organizations that his loving family built up, after having Luke Skywalker - the man who looked to Darth Vader and said "I feel the good in you, father," after years of him being the enemy - contemplate killing him simply because of what he might do.
The film threw out the established characterization of the legacy character, didn't try to connect the dots in how that changed, and tries to frame this all as the established character's fault.
That's what it comes to. NO ONE is calling out Kylo's actions and behavior as HIS responsibility. If I'm generous, the film is leaving it implicit... But unfortunately, when you leave it implicit, it also leaves the door open for the worst people to dismiss that message and try to take it in that direction of "but it looks so cool while he's doing it."
The movie is centered on trying to show Kylo wavering, uncertain, looking back towards the light after being immersed in the dark... And this is a decision that he made rather definitively in the prior film, when he MURDERED HIS FATHER. Why are we now, after the fact, spending this time questioning if maybe he can be redeemed? When the prequels had Anakin Force choke Padme, it was a sign that he had crossed the line. Why is Kylo impaling Han Solo on his lightsaber a sign that he really wants to be good?
If pressed, I would call TLJ a fine standalone film. The problem it comes down to, however, is that it was NOT meant to BE a standalone film. It was supposed to be part two of a trilogy, part eight of a saga. Rather than build on the elements established in the prior film, TLJ wants to go off in its own direction, tripping over the elements that it can't discard from the prior film.
And any writer who goes into this situation, knowing they are writing a middle part of a story, and approaches things as "well, [thing] introduced in [prior film] doesn't fit with the story I want to tell, so I'm going to ignore it"? Yeah, I'm comfortable calling them a bad writer and their story a bad story, because you were hired to WORK with those elements, not just discard them.

Ik this isn't exactly what you asked but if I haven't missed taking about weird house time as a fan of weird houses I am curious what are your thoughts/feelings on weird spacecraft? E.g. the event horizon, whatever's going on in leviathan wakes (haven't gotten around to reading it) and also arguably the nostromo from alien and the tardis I think.
generally if it's the kind of spacecraft that like, has an ai system that talks and stuff, that's not so hot to me just because that makes it more of a Person than a Location That Lives y'know? like, I think ART from murderbot is hot but not for this-specific-obsession reasons. a spacecraft as a House is appealing in some ways, as is a more silent intelligence. i will google the first few of these bc i'm not a scifi expert so i can rate them
event horizon: too possessed-y for my liking most probably. if it affects my behavior via some type of psychic field i'd like it to be in a subtler way where i'm not sure of it and i'd like it to be an effect of the house itself. the size of the house is certainly appealing though as well as the unknowable-ness of the intelligence causing the incident.
leviathan wakes: this one looks like a really interesting story but i wouldn't call the ship hot from the summary alone
the nostromo: creepy enough to be somewhat hot but the idea of the alien, a specific being i can see and comprehend, trying to hunt and trap me, kind of ruins the vibe for me
the tardis: from my outside impressions, too nicies to be hot, and it seems like if it trapped me it would be in a finite and comprehensible way. gets points for homeiness though

okay because like. these moments go a long way in changing her in my head from A Civilian to Protect to like a genuine friend. Because a lot of the turtles friendships are.. not one-sided, that's not the phrase. But they have experienced a life where their safety is always secondary, they accept this as fact, it's the way things are
They protect the humans they meet. Raph doesn't tell Mrs. Morrison he's a turtle even though he must realize she must notice because (imo) he wants to put her as little at risk as possible when she lives in an anti-alien neighborhood
When they meet the Fugitoid they're far from home and stressed out, but it becomes high priority to help him
Casey and April make themselves exceptions in big ways, they're both people the turtles can ask for favors just as much as they seek to help and protect (when Donny asks Casey for money at the comic book shop... ajshdha that scene means so much to me)
Angel is so cool though because it's a more gradual thing. They did very much see her as a citizen to protect, even though she was an active participant in rescuing Casey. Like, she's one out of two friends they have across all known realities who is actually their age, but they're used to being treated like adults so they don't really know how to hang out with peers. The end of her intro ep is literally them all explaining to Mikey why they can't reveal themselves to her grandmother to accept thanks for helping her out.
Then in The Darkness Within she takes an even more damsel in distress role. I love to fixate on the details that show us the rough-and-tumble confident Angel we met in that intro ep, like how she tried to talk Ryan out of going, or how she keeps finding the Thing To Touch that triggers the next Event. But honestly this ep is not one where her personality shines through, she spends pretty much the whole thing in shock, worried about her brother (and that's okay, it's cool that she's allowed to be weak, especially with how her intro ep went, just it doesn't show us her normal daily personality)
And it's Leo specifically, and we could argue Don, who want her to stay behind where it's safe during that episode. Which further drives home this idea of Us (expendable, expected to take risks and make sacrifices) and Them (fragile, best kept on the sidelines, protect at all costs). And this one hurts more because of how close they seem? Does that make sense?
I mean, I like to read this as they can tell she's not herself, and they are also trained ninjas while she isn't, so it's not all Us and Them. But there's an element of it still.
So the fact that down the road, we get evidence that this dynamic has shifted, that Leo, the same turtle who insisted she stay on the surface, has her name come to his mind as someone he could count on for help, at times when he is having such a hard time allowing himself to accept help from others--it gets to me, y'know?
Also, it's neat for them to have a more casual friend. Casey and April's different flavors of soul-crushing devotion are extremely touching and extremely important. But the teenagers need some Mrs. Morrisons and Angels in their lives. They need to be able to have people they trust and can hang out with, but who aren't immediately in their nightmares being put in horrific situations because of how they've immediately and irreversibly become like family
I mean unless you're Don and all your friendships work that way and she is in your nightmares falling off a cliff 👍
and idk if I can articulate it fully here but that's also why I so much like the idea of shipping her with a turtle, just feels so fair to both her and them character arc wise. Like, they actually are allowed to need things including needing to relax and have fun, and she actually is competent and doesn't have to prove herself. And her and Donny's personalities work together really well to me, besides the fact that I see him as particularly in need of this arc
small thing I noticed that probably wasn’t even on purpose but. It’s usually Leo who thinks of Angel. Specifically in Bad Day and Prodigal Son
And it’s not the ‘we better make sure she’s safe too’ that you might expect from Leo, especially when he’s in this state. It’s ‘maybe she can help us out with this.’

Hey! I'm new to Servamp(already caught up), its a really small fandom, but it seems really nice! For that ship ask game, could u do mikuni x mahiru? I'm having trouble understanding the ship, but i want to see more into it you talked about it so passionately
Hello hello hello, and welcome!! I'm glad you're enjoying your stay so far~ If you need help tracking down any extra material you're interested in, like drama cd translations, where to watch the movie, some of the sls, or event stuff from TanakaBox, please message me! I keep lots of links on hand and am always happy to direct fans towards what they're looking for ^^
Aww, thanks!! It makes me really happy that people seem so interested; it's so niche I didn't expect this kind of thing at all lol
Hm, what else can I say about it... Well, I guess the appeal to me, specifically, is the prospect for healing the two offer each other? Like... I've thought a lot about Mikuni's relationship with Mikado, and Mahiru's own complicated feelings towards Touma. In many places, there's this like... Expectation of children towards their parents, y'know? That because someone is family, you have to forgive them, you have to respect them, that you owe them. In a lot of Asia cultures in particular, there's an extremely strong emphasis on this as part of respecting your ancestors. That even abuse or abandonment MUST be forgiven, simply because the person who did it to you was family. (thankfully I've seen this sort of idea challenged more frequently in modern manga and anime than I have in the past. I don't live in Japan, so it's difficult for me to have any true insight on how this cultural topic is progressing, but it gives me hope to see it talked about more in entertainment).
Anyway, back to the topic. A lot of Mahiru's character places emphasis on him being a "good kid". Someone his uncle can be proud of. Reading this differently, you can see it as his desire to not be a burden towards his uncle. Both because he loves him, and because Mahiru struggles with the concept of being "enough" solely for existing. Deep down, he is very scared that if he isn't a "good kid," he will be alone.
Good kids forgive their parents.
Enter Mikuni, a rat bastard (I love him). Mikuni is by no means a good kid. He does bad things. He has killed his mother. He attempted to kill his father. He burned down part of their house for christ's sake. And yet... He is still loved. And yet, he still does not forgive Mikado.
And no one expects him to.
Whether he forgives his father or not, that is his choice, and it doesn't have any impact on whether or not he deserves to be cared for. Neither does him being a bad kid or a good kid.
For Mahiru, who has spent so much of his life trying to be "good," I think having someone he trusts and looks up to as an ally tell him that it is okay to not forgive Touma would be HUGE. And I think Mikuni is the perfect character to give him that.
At the same time... I think Mikuni struggles with the idea that he can have happiness. That he doesn't have to be alone. Mahiru is surrounded by many people, and continues to draw many more to him, not in the destructive way a moth is drawn to flame, but in the way that plants seek the gentle warmth of the sun in spring. This is also why he's so good for Kuro!! He's also incredibly self isolating, but the way he self harms this way is a bit more obvious than Mikuni's jaunty, seemingly cheery persona.
To be able to say "I don't forgive you" and to be able to think "I trust you"
I think that's what they offer each other, when you really get down to it.
#servamp#asks#anonymous#thanks for the ask nonny!!#mahikuni#kat's katerwauling#ask games#welcome to the fandom again!!!

Eulalia!!! I love her<3 could you tell us more about her? I am not always on so I think I missed a few things?
You probably haven't missed much, I honestly haven't posted too much about her bcuz it's taken me ages to create a character I'm happy with lmao.
I've very bad when it comes to General questions, so I have decided to just loredump a lil bit and give the basics of her character lkflkdskl if u wanna know anything more specific pls hmu and I shall ramble some more.
Also brief tw about Eulàlia's backstory: Ableism (specifically about being deaf/HOH) and you could imply child neglect. It's also important to note my writing wrt to ableism and her family being awful due to her hearing is based on my personal experiences about the bad treatment I experienced from adults due to my hearing as a child, I'm not just some hearing person who thought it would be neat to write about a deaf character facing ableism.
Eulàlia has the basics from the Cousland origin in DAO, daughter of the highest nobility, has an older brother who's destined to inherit all the title and land, she, being a younger daughter, kinda only exists to eventually get married off and y'know, just be a Pretty Noble Wife.
My recent idea has kinda taken that in a slightly different direction. For one, I'm playing with the idea of Eulàlia being elf-blooded. I haven't decided whether she has a different parent, or whether she was adopted. In either case, the thought is her parents really wanted a daughter, yknow, someone who can go fancy events, mingle with other nobles, be kinda the pretty visual associated with the Cousland family. So they ended up with Eulàlia, and even if she's not fully Cousland blood they were happy because they got what they wanted right?
Well, things got complicated when Eulàlia went deaf as an infant. Which was upsetting to her parents because it wasn't in line with this ideal they had for a daughter. And while Eulàlia grew up completely fine and happy being deaf, it wasn't the visual her parents wanted. So, now instead of some Completely Perfect Beautiful Daughter We Can Marry Off, now they started to see Eulàlia as something that tarnished their reputation.
So now begins Eulàlia's life as a sort of forced recluse. The more she grows up the less she is the ideal daughter her parents had wanted, her parents realize they didn't really want a daughter they wanted something pretty to show off. She wants to use weapons instead of go to parlors, she wants to marry a woman instead of a man, her elven heritage is noticeable with her ears if she doesn't cover them. More and more of a rift grows between her and her parents, and Eulàlia spends her days fantasizing about running away to the sea.
In my default worldstate, I actually have it that Eulàlia isn't a warden. Instead, the night Castle Cousland falls, Eulàlia had planned to finally run away. During this escape, she encounters Howe's guards starting their attack and she has to fight through to escape. She flees to Denerim, and lurks around the docks desperately trying to get someone to allow her on their ship. No one takes her up except, of course, Isabela.
So when the Blight hits in full force, Eulàlia, Isabela, and my Tabris (long story there, but essentially instead of my Tabris being saved from execution by Duncan of the Grey Wardens, they're saved by a random do-gooder lesbian and her bisexual pirate captain) sail off and end up in Kirkwall. And I imagine that after the events of Kirkwall, Isabela and Eulàlia sail off together as pirate wives. Love wins. [also in this worldstate my Tabris gets together with Merrill so love wins and autism wins, we love to see it].
#Eldritch IT Speaks#im in a slightly blurry headspace so sorry for any disorganization wrt my thoughts!#OC: Eulàlia#Eldritch IT Answers

Merchant Konfi lore :)
Read this⬇️ first lol
Alright um— so since I picked up the original idea of Konfi in Kuroshitsuji again, I wrote this from what I remembered of his first meeting with Lau and a bit of general background but I did it at night, cause y'know- ✨3AM EPIPHANY✨, so some parts could not make sense or be grammatically incorrect but anyway enjoy the I guess!
Oh and, by the way, Konfi's company trades spices and materials and for the "special trades" he sends materials that come from hunting down animals that in fact shouldn't be hunted down and other materials that are illegal or very hard to obtain even in small quantities. Plus drugs or very rare spices.
" Accidental business encounter "
It was 1884 and Konfi was 19 when his father , an italian merchant who owned a big trading business , fell sick and couldn't go to any meetings or events anymore since his illness made it very difficult for him even just to leave his own home. After a while had passed things were getting worse so his father assigned the position of manager directly to Konfi. This quite scared him but it wasn't like he had any choice so, even if he was ready, having the preparation needed, his father ultimately told him that other than the " regular " business they had konfi would also have to take care of some " special " tradings. He didn't specify but sure enough konfi caught on what he was saying the first timeshe had to deal with those he was pretty reluctant but then got used to them after a whil.
A couple years later, just when konfi turned 22, his father died while he was on a ship that was sailing to england and, after reaching the docks, it's merch was supposed to go to london, in the man the " special trade " was with this time was apparently a good friend of konfi's father he didn't know why or how they knew each other since it was a chinese merchant but he just supposed they had met through trades or something in between those lines.
After passing the checks with some tricks, and a considerable amount of money, he got to london and started searching for said man,his name was lau and, between the people who knew about it, he was popular for his oppium trades, he searched for hours and then decided to give up and call it a day. After all him and the others reached the docks in the afternoon so now he was out in the dark and to top it all it was about to rain as well.
He kept walking aimlessly for the rather empty streets of london with his head down an his bangs covering his eyes almost fully , when he bumped into someone , a tall figure that stood before him as he fell on the ground the said tall figure knelt down and offered him a hand to get up
"Are you alright?"
he asked with a surprisingly calm voice konfi then stood up stunned for a second and replied
"Ah,, yes apologize for bumping into you sir-"
he sneezed and hid his face a bit in the scarf he was wearing -oh great now i even got a cold- he thought to himself. The tall man spoke
"Sorry to intrude but what are you doing out so jate at night? You don't seem from these parts"
Konfi sighed softly
"I was searching for someone but i got lost.."
the other tilted his head slightly
"And, if i may ask, who is that you're search ing for?"
Konfi remained silent for a second
"Um.. I think his name was lau! I tried asking around but most of the people just ignored me."
he looked away and the man chuckled
"Well then maybe fate made us meet"
Konfi looked at him confused
"What do you mean?"
the man smiled and opened one of his before closed eyes and held out an hand to him as he cleared his throat
"Let me introduce myself, my name is Lau. Pleasure to meet you friend"
Anyway, this isn't even slightly near to finished but I don't have a clear idea of the things that should happen after so I don't really know where this is going in the specific to be honest

A3! Event: Trump the Phantom Thief Episode 8 Translation
Play time! A heads up on the characters' names:
Muku: King Yuki: Q Kazunari: Ace Juza: Jack Banri: Fox Sakyo: Club
Saionji: Muku-kun, how are you doing? Are you getting seasick?
Muku: I'm doing alright, thank you. Oh, and the room is so beautiful.
Saionji: I am glad it is to your liking. We purposely built the suite rooms in a place where you can't feel the ship's motion.
I am planning to take every possible measure for the theater venue as well, though do not hesitate to let me know if you are unsatisfied with anything.
Muku: I will. Thank you.
Kazunari: Dude, not only the suite rooms are superbs, but to think we also get a whole staff to ourselves…! We can even get the beverages here as many times we like!
Yuki: True. The service is just so good it surprised me.
Sakyo: Don't get too engrossed in these service or you'll be havin' a hard time once we return to Mankai Company.
Izumi: You have a point…
Banri: I don't wanna go back.
Juza: ...I'm thirsty.
Muku: Wanna get some beverages in our rooms?
Juza: No, it's fine. Our rooms are far from here.
Azami: There's a lot of vending machines there. I think they have your favorite strawberry milk.
Juza: I'll go get it.
Muku: …
Izumi: (Today is finally our opening show. I knew it. They all seem pretty nervous because we're going to perform in a different venue.)
Juza: …
Izumi: (Juza-kun looks stiff.)
Kazunari: OK, guys! We've gotta form a circle in times like this!
Banri: Be more specific. What d'you mean by "in times like this"?
Yuki: Bet you already thought of what kind of circle you wanna do.
Kazunari: Righty right! Since our play is about phantom thieves, we all should strike a phantom thief pose!
Sakyo: The heck is that?
Kazunari: No complaining! Just follow me!
Yuki: Fine. Fine.
Juza: ...Muku, do the chant.
Muku: First things first, I'm sorry for causing you guys troubles when I was at a loss of what to do.
I don't want to give up on all the things I want to do. I've decided to do everything I can in all of them.
I'll run through until the end. Follow me, guys!
Juza: Yeah!
Kazunari: Okie!
Banri: Yea.
Q: "It's as musty as always."
Ace: "Clean it up."
Q: "How about you do it?"
Ace: "No way. Geez. This place used to be clean, wonder what happened to it."
Q: "That's because we had a clean-freak before."
Ace: "Okay. Leader, you do the cleaning."
King: "I think it's pretty clean, though."
Q: "Seriously?"
Ace: "Should've known a messy room owner like Leader would say something like that."
Q: "Anyway. Since this is the first time we gathered here after a year, that means you've already set our next target, right? Let's cut to the chase already."
King: "Our next target will be "Mermaid's Tears", a 12-carat diamond."
"It's going to be sold during an auction held at the Royal Star cruise. It's one of the event's highlights and expected to sell for 6 billion."
Ace: "Woo-hoo."
Q: "Heh. Interesting."
King: "Royal Star is currently hiring staff. Q."
Q: "Got it. That means I have to sneak in as one of their staff members, right?"
King: "Ace, get close to the ship's captain and collect information."
Ace: "Roger."
Izumi: (I expect no less from Summer Troupe. They have great teamwork. I can totally feel it.)
(Not to mention Muku-kun's King is able to unite them as a leader.)
Q: "I'm in charge of the rooms in Block A… Laundry and… Ugh. What a hassle."
"This isn't my job in the first place, after all. If that person were here--."
Crew Member: "Are you new here? You seem lost."
Q: "Yes. I don't think I can get out of this place if I lose the map."
Crew Member: "You can ask anyone if there's anything you don't understand."
Q: "Thank you."
"?"
Crew Member: "What's wrong?"
Q: "I think I saw someone over there--."
Crew Member: "But there's only a garbage can over there. Is it a ghost or something?"
Q: "Hey. Stop. I don't like it."
"Hm? A letter?"
"Could this be--I have to report to King."
King: "I'll take the Mermaid's Tears--Jack."
Ace: "Can't believe he's aiming for the same thing."
Q: "Him and King sure are compatible in a strange way."
Ace: "Even though their personalities are the exact opposite of each other."
Q: "What are we going to do now?"
Ace: "Guess we're gonna have a change of pla--."
King: "We'll continue the operation."
Q: "Come again!?"
Ace: "So you mean we're gonna compete with Jack?"
King: "I will not send out this notice. Let's call it a direct confrontation between Trump and Jack."
Q: "Whaaaat!?"
Jack: "Weird. The cops aren't on the move."
"Hm? Where's my noti--."
"It's been a while. How about a reunion? At The Mermaid's Tears' chamber. Trump."
"King, huh… It's just so like him to do something like this. Fine. Let's have a showdown."
Fox: "Here. I got what you wanted, the Royal Star's blueprint."
King: "It is indeed the blueprint."
Fox: "I got you some addition as well. This one is a lil bit pricey."
King: "Figured as much."
Fox: "What are you going to do with this information, though?"
King: "It's prohibited to poke your nose into your client's private life."
Fox: "Oops. My bad. I was curious since you rarely asked for something like this. Oh, yeah. Your master said he wanted to see you."
King: "Club? I wonder why. I'll try contacting him."
Club: "I'm comin' in."
Fox: "Speak of the devil."
King: "Long time no see."
Club: "Perfect timing. Are you free now?"
***
Club: "I'm goin' to retire soon. Take whatever you need."
King: "Retire? Are you serious?"
Club: "My body is startin' to fall apart. It's an age thing. Tell this to Ja--Oh, right. I heard you two broke up."
King: "You made it sound like we're dating. Please don't do that. He just decided to quit my group on his own."
Club: "Y'all never change. Here I thought you'd keep workin' together. That's what you call youth, I guess."
King: "To be honest with you, I'd also never thought he would betray me."
Club: "Looking at that guy, I think he's in his rebellious phase rather than betrayal."
King: "Rebellious phase?"
Club: "He's got some strong sense of rivalry, y'know? Add that with the fact that he's never won against you."
"He must be jealous of you. You're a genius, while he can only do things in a crude way."
King: "Really? I like his way of doing things, though."
Club: "That's exactly why you're hated. Oh, well. You better make up before I die."
King: "Please tell that to him too. You're going to meet him after this anyway, right?"
Club: "You're right. Guess I'm also gonna tell him directly. Both of you are my most excellent apprentices, after all."
King: "Please take this as my present for your retirement. This one is 40 years old."
Club: "You sure are well prepared."
King: "I was actually planning to use it for the celebration party, though."
"--Oh, right. If you're going to retire, please give me that. You know, the 'Venus Ring'."
Club: "I refuse."
***
Fox: "Welcome. Man, I guess we've got a lot of 'speak of the devil' moment today."
Jack: "What are you saying?"
Fox: "Nope. Forget it. Anyway, this is your requested uniform and safe."
Jack: "Thanks."
Fox: "Oh, yea. Your master said he wanted to see you. Why don't you give him a call?"
***
Jack: "Long time no see."
Club: "Hey. Is it just me or did you lose some weight?"
Jack: "What do you want to talk about?"
Club: "I'm gonna retire soon. Take whatever you need."
Jack: "Whatever you need, huh. By the way, the 'Venus Ring'..."
Club: "Y'all really have the same taste. I ain't gonna give it out. I sent it to the right place."
Jack: "By y'all… Do you mean King?"
Club: "You should just go back and regroup with him."
Jack: "I'll never go back until I win against him."
Club: "What a pig-headed kid. So? You see any chance to accomplish that?"
Jack: "I have a feeling we're finally going to settle this soon."
Club: "Heh. You seem confident."
Jack: "Because I've made arrangements ahead of time."
Club: "That's so you. You still look as gloomy as ever, though. Why don't you go soaking up the sun in some warm places in the south once in a while?"
Jack: "No--But you have a point. Maybe I'll do that once this is over."
Club: "Do that. And make up with King."
Jack: "...It depends on him."
Guard A: "Wait there."
Guard B: "This place is restricted to authorized personnel."
***
Q: "'Mermaid's Tears' has been carried away."
King: "Got it. Looks like they put it at the expected place."
Q: "How about the security? Can you unlock it?"
King: "I've already made preparation for that. We just need to see how things will turn out."
Ace: "Hey, wait a sec. Please, King."
King: "Find out the schedule for the guards' lookout."
Q: "Ugh. What a pain. Why do I have to do this…"
***
Q: "The guard will change at 1 P.M. The key will only be handed over when a substitute comes."
King: "So we need that key and the password that the captain has to unlock the door."
Q: "Ace, gain some time for us."
Ace: "Roger. Leave it to me."
Q: "Don't screw up."
***
Ace: "Hey, good work."
Guard A: "You're here sooner than I thought."
Ace: "Boss said my shift would start 30 minutes earlier since I'm always late, you see. Today I got here on time, though."
"Oh. Don't tell me you're gonna get scolded if you end your shift early? Wanna have some chat for thirty minutes then? Man, being a guard sure is easy."
"I actually want to increase my shift more, you know. But I don't reall--."
Guard A: "No, it's fine. I'll end my shift now. Bye."
Ace: "Oh. Okay, then. Bye."
***
Ace: "Mission complete. It's your turn now, King."
King: "Let's see, now. This is unexpectedy such a hassle~."
Ace: "I'm glad you seem to be having fun but please hurry up."
***
Q: "It's almost been thirty minutes."
King: "Just a little bit more…"
Q: "The guard is coming."
King: "I'm counting on you, Ace."
***
Ace: "Hey.."
Guard B: "Hm?"
Ace: "Ouch ouch ouch…"
Guard B: "What's wrong?"
Ace: "Oh, are you the substitute? Thank God. I'm starting to panic since my stomach is killing me. Good bye!"
Guard B: "Hey, wait, the key--."
Ace: "Key? Oh, right. I've gotta hand it ove--ouch ouch ouch."
Guard B: "Hey, you okay?"
Ace: "Wait a minute. Just until I calm down. Ouch ouch ouch…"
Guard B: "F-For now, just go to the toilet first."
Ace: "Don't think that's possible. I feel like it's gonna come out once I move."
Guard B: "Whaaat!?"
Ace: "Do you have some medicine or anything?"
Guard B: "No, sorry…"
Ace: "Can you bring me one from the infirmary? I'm on the edge here."
Guard B: "O-Okay! Wait a little bit!"
Ace: "King, you better open it now."
***
King: "...Weird. We may not make it."
Ace: "Come again!?"
King: "Oh, I got it. This one."
"...Nice. It opens!"
"Q, carry it out. Let's retreat."
Q: "Got it."
***
Guard B: "Hey, I have the medicine!"
Ace: "Very thanks, man. Here, your key! I'll leave the rest to you."
Guard B: "Yeah. Hope you recover soon."
King: "...This is weird. Jack didn't come in the end."
Q: "Maybe he realized it's impossible to go against phantom thieves."
King: "No. That guy…"
Police: "Freeze! We're police!"
King: "--."
Q: "!?"
Ace: "Since when!?"
King: "We're being set up. Q, throw the 'Mermaid's Tears' to the sea."
Q: "Huh!? Do you hear yourself now!?"
King: "Do it now. We'll escape the moment the police look away."
Ace: "You're lying, right!?"
King: "Quick."
Q: "You're the one who told me to do it, alright!"
Police: "H-Hey! The jewel! Pick it up, quick!"
King: "Let's go!"
Police: "Wait!"
Q: "What do we do now!? All of our hardship went to waste!"
Ace: "Our 6 billion…"
King: "That was a fake jewel Jack had prepared."
Q: "What?"
King: "Jack had stolen 'Mermaid's Tears' in advance and replaced it with a fake one."
"He was the one who snitched on us."
***
Narration: "The day before…"
Guard A: "Hey, what's wrong?"
Jack: "No, it's just… the engine…"
Guard A: "Hold on, hold on. If there's any trouble, you better do something about it or else it'll get worse later on. If we're liable for the damages…"
Jack: "There's smoke coming out!"
Guard A: "Say what!?"
Jack: "Stay away from the car!"
Guard B: "Whoa!"
Guard A: "C-Call the fire station! Wait, we gotta get the safe first!"
Guard B: "Hey, is it okay?"
Jack: "Yeah. The smoke disappeared. I found no issues with the machine too."
Guard A: "That means the safe is alright, yeah? God. Give me a break. We almost carry it away ahead of time."
***
Q: "So that's why Jack didn't show up…"
Ace: "He really got us! I already thought it was weird for the police to appear at times like that!"
Q: "Ugh. Even if the police didn't appear, Jack still won since he already got the 'Mermaid's Tears' before us."
King: "I wonder about that."
***
King: "He hasn't made any changes in his base. Well, isn't he a little careless…"
"Even his security system is so weak."
"Hm? A card?"
"'Out of respect of Master's retirement, I will hand over the victory.'"
"Don't be satisfied with second place. You could have taken measures if you know there's a chance it'll get stolen. Oh, well. I'll accept your kind offer…"
***
Jack: "..."
"He really came…"
King: "Hey."
Jack: "--ugh. Why are you still here, King?"
King: "It's been a long time, I want to renew our friendship. I even brought alcohol with me."
Jack: "This is why you're hated."
King: "But you don't hate me, do you?"
Jack: "How did you find out?"
King: "I got some information about you from Fox. It helped me understand your strategy to some extent."
Jack: "In that case, why did you fall into the trap?"
King: "Because, otherwise, you won't move forward as planned. I'll be troubled if you're on your guard."
"I could narrow down your base thanks to the location device I planned on the alcohol I gave to Club. The rest is my intuition."
Jack: "I can never bring myself to like you in the end."
King: "Now, now. Let's have a toast for the 'Mermaid's Tears'. Q and Ace are waiting."
Izumi: (This is the only scene where Jack and King talk face to face. Even so, you can tell how close they are just by watching this scene alone.)
(Maybe because they are cousins, they can create a unique relationship between rivals who understand each other the most.)
***
Muku: Thank you so much!
Juza: Thank you.
Sakyo: Thank you.
Yuki: Thank you.
Kazunari: Thankies thankies~!
Banri: Thank you.
***
Sakyo: The audience's reaction on our first show is great.
Juza: King was so cool.
Muku: Jack was even cooler! The fact that he's active behind the scenes is just so Juchan!
