More than Friends | idol!Scoups x reader | angst,fluff
The dorm buzzed with energy, laughter bouncing off the walls as the members sprawled across couches and bean bags, arguing about what movie to watch next. Y/N sat cross-legged on the carpet, her back leaning against the edge of the couch, where Seungcheol lounged comfortably.
He was laughing at something Wonwoo said, his head tipped back, eyes crinkled at the corners in that way that made Y/Nâs heart skip. She quickly looked away, pretending to focus on the half-empty bowl of popcorn in her lap.
It wasnât the first time sheâd caught herself staring. And if Jeonghanâs knowing glances were anything to go by, it definitely wasnât the first time someone else had noticed.
âAre you seriously just going to keep sitting there and pretending like youâre not in love with him?â Jeonghanâs voice was low as he leaned closer.
Y/N stiffened. âWould you keep your voice down?â
Jeonghan smirked. âTheyâre too busy arguing about movies to hear me.â
âDoesnât matter.â
âY/N.â Jeonghanâs voice softened, and she hated how easily he could see right through her. âYou need to tell him.â
She shook her head, pretending to be more interested in the popcorn than the way Seungcheolâs laugh sent butterflies through her stomach. âItâs not that simple.â
âIt is that simple.â
âNo, itâs not,â she whispered sharply. âWeâve been friends for over ten years, Jeonghan. What if I tell him and it ruins everything? What if he doesnât feel the same way?â
Jeonghan gave her a look. âYou donât know that.â
But she did. Or at least she thought she did.
Before Jeonghan could press further, Seungkwanâs voice cut through the noise.
âY/N, how do you even put up with Cheol all the time? Ten years? Iâd lose my mind.â
Y/N forced a laugh. âWeâre used to each other by now.â
âThatâs not an answer,â Seungkwan teased.
Seungcheol leaned back, smirking. âSheâs stuck with me, thatâs why. Weâre basically unbreakable.â
âExactly,â Y/N said quickly, ignoring the heat rising in her cheeks. âHeâs my best friend.â
Her heart sank the moment the words left her mouth.
Seungcheol grinned, completely unfazed. âSee? Best friends.â
The words shouldnât have hurt, but they did. And judging by the way Jeonghanâs gaze flickered toward her, he knew it too.
She tried to laugh along with the others, but something inside her shifted.
Maybe it was time to move on.
ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ-
Two weeks later, Y/N was seeing someone new.
His name was Minho. He worked in event planning, and he was charming, funny, and most importantly interested in her. When heâd asked her out, it felt like the universe giving her a push, so she said yes.
It was easy at first. Minho made her laugh and distracted her from the ache in her chest whenever she thought about Seungcheol.
But the more time she spent with Minho, the less time she had for Seungcheol.
And Seungcheol noticed.
âWhereâs Y/N?â
It was the third time Seungcheol had asked that question in a week, and Jeonghan was starting to lose patience.
âSheâs busy,â Jeonghan said, not even looking up from his phone. âProbably with Minho.â
Seungcheolâs jaw tensed.
âWhatâs so great about him anyway?â
Joshua raised an eyebrow. âYou donât even know him.â
âI donât need to know him to know heâs not right for her.â
Jeonghan finally looked up, his expression carefully neutral. âAnd what makes you think that?â
Seungcheol hesitated, but before he could answer, Mingyu snickered from across the room.
âDude, just admit it. Youâre jealous.â
Seungcheol glared at him. âIâm not jealous.â
âSure,â Vernon muttered under his breath.
âIâm not!â
Jeonghan set his phone down and crossed his arms. âOkay, then whatâs the problem?â
Seungcheol opened his mouth, then closed it again. He didnât know how to explain it. All he knew was that every time he saw Y/N with Minho, something inside him twisted painfully, and it wouldnât go away.
âYouâre all acting like this is normal,â he snapped, shoving himself off the couch. âBut itâs not. She barely knows him, and now sheâs acting likeâlike heâs more important than everything else.â
âLike heâs more important than you?â Jeonghan asked quietly.
Seungcheol froze.
âCheol,â Joshua said, his voice softer now, âyou need to figure out why this is bothering you so much.â
Seungcheol didnât answer. Instead, he grabbed his jacket and stormed out.
ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ-
The night air was cool against his skin as he stepped outside, but it did nothing to calm the storm in his chest.
What was wrong with him?
Why did it feel like his entire world was falling apart just because Y/N was dating someone?
He paced back and forth, his hands clenched into fists as he tried to make sense of the mess in his head.
âSeungcheol.â
He turned to see Jeonghan standing behind him, hands in his pockets and an annoyingly calm expression on his face.
âWhat?â Seungcheol snapped.
âYouâre an idiot.â
âExcuse me?â
Jeonghan stepped closer. âYouâre an idiot,â he repeated. âAnd you know why? Because youâre acting like you have some kind of right to be mad at her when youâre the one whoâs been too scared to do anything about your feelings.â
Seungcheol flinched.
âYou love her.â Jeonghanâs words hit him like a punch. âAnd instead of telling her that, youâve spent years pretending you donât. Now sheâs finally trying to move on, and youâre mad? Thatâs not fair, Cheol.â
Seungcheol opened his mouth to argue, but no words came out.
Because Jeonghan was right.
He loved her.
And heâd been too blind or too scared to admit it.
âShe loved you first, you know,â Jeonghan said quietly. âSheâs loved you for years. But you kept pushing her away without even realizing it. So donât stand here acting like she betrayed you when youâre the one who let her slip through your fingers.â
Seungcheol felt like he couldnât breathe.
âFix it,â Jeonghan said, turning to walk away. âBefore itâs too late.â
ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ-
Seungcheol didnât sleep that night. He spent hours replaying every moment, every look, every touchâand suddenly, it all made sense.
The way sheâd always been there for him. The way her smile softened when she looked at him. The way she laughed at his dumb jokes even when no one else did.
She loved him.
And he loved her too.
Now he just had to make sure she knew it.
ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ-
The practice room was loud, the sounds of sneakers squeaking against the floor and beats thumping through the speakers filling the space. But Seungcheol wasnât paying attention.
His movements were sharp, almost aggressive as he led the group through their choreography, pushing harder than usual. He needed the distraction. He needed to drown out the thoughts that had been chasing him since his conversation with Jeonghan the night before.
She loved him. Sheâd always loved him.
And heâd been too scared to see it.
âHyung, are you okay?â Seungkwanâs voice snapped him out of his daze.
âWhat?â
âYouâve been off all morning,â Seungkwan said. âAnd honestly, you kind of look like youâre about to punch someone.â
Seungcheol exhaled, dragging a hand down his face. âIâm fine.â
But then Mingyuâs voice rang out from across the room.
âGuys, did you hear? Y/Nâs going on vacation!â
Seungcheol froze.
âWith Minho,â Mingyu added, oblivious to the way Seungcheolâs entire body tensed. âApparently itâs super last minute. She told me this morning.â
âWhat?â Seungcheolâs voice was sharp enough to make everyone stop and stare.
âShe and Minho are flying out tomorrow,â Mingyu said. âSome beach resort or something.â
The room went completely silent as eleven pairs of eyes turned to Seungcheol, who looked like heâd just been punched in the gut.
Then chaos erupted.
âWHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE?!â Seungkwan shouted.
âGO TO HER!â Vernon added, shoving Seungcheol toward the door.
âWHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!â
Jeonghan didnât say anything. He just crossed his arms and gave Seungcheol a look that said, You know what you have to do.
Seungcheol didnât need to be told twice.
ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ-
His heart felt like it was going to explode as he stood outside her apartment door, his fist hovering just inches away from knocking.
What if he was too late?
What if sheâd already left?
What ifâ
The door opened.
âSeungcheol?â Y/Nâs eyes widened in surprise. âWhat are you doing here?â
She was dressed casually shorts and an oversized t-shirt but there was a suitcase by the door, and the sight of it made his stomach drop.
âYouâre really leaving?â
She blinked. âWhat?â
âWith Minho. Tomorrow.â
Her brows furrowed. âHow did youââ
âMingyu told me,â he cut in.
She sighed, stepping back to let him in. âItâs not a big deal, Cheol. Itâs just a trip.â
âIt is a big deal,â he said, his voice rising slightly. âYouâre leaving with him. And I canâtââ He stopped, raking a hand through his hair. âI canât let you do this.â
She stared at him, confused and a little defensive. âWhat do you mean you canât let me? Itâs my life, Seungcheol. I donât need your permission.â
âThatâs not what I meant!â he snapped.
âThen what did you mean?â
He took a shaky breath, his chest tightening. âI mean⊠I canât watch you walk away. Not like this. Not with him.â
Her lips parted, but no words came out.
âI hate it, Y/N,â he said, his voice cracking. âI hate seeing you with him. I hate that he gets to have your time, your attention, when Iâve had it for years, and I was too stupid to realize what it meant.â
Tears welled in her eyes, and it made his heart ache even more.
âWhy are you doing this now, Seungcheol?â she whispered.
âBecause I canât lose you.â
âYou already did,â she said, her voice trembling. âWhen you called me your best friend. When you made it so clear that thatâs all weâd ever be. Do you have any idea how much that hurt?â
He stepped closer. âI didnât mean it. I was scared.â
âOf what?â
âOf ruining what we had.â He reached for her hand, holding it tightly. âOf losing you if I messed this up. But now I realize Iâm losing you anyway, and itâs killing me.â
Her tears spilled over, and Seungcheol gently cupped her face.
âI love you, Y/N. I love you so much it scares me. And I know I donât deserve you after everything Iâve put you through, but pleaseâplease donât go.â
Her breath hitched, and for a moment, he thought she was going to pull away. But then she threw her arms around him, burying her face in his chest.
âYouâre such an idiot,â she mumbled, her voice muffled by his shirt.
âI know.â
âYou hurt me so much.â
âI know,â he said again, holding her tighter. âAnd Iâm so, so sorry.â
She pulled back just enough to look up at him. âWhat if this doesnât work? What if we ruin everything?â
âIt wonât,â he promised. âBecause Iâm not letting you go. Not now. Not ever.â
She searched his eyes for any sign of doubt, but all she saw was sincerity and love.
So she kissed him.
It was soft at first, hesitant, but then it deepened, and all the tension that had been building between them for years melted away.
When they finally pulled apart, Seungcheol rested his forehead against hers, smiling.
âCancel the trip.â
âI already did,â she admitted, and he laughed softly, kissing her again.
ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ-
The next day, Seungcheol walked into the practice room with Y/Nâs hand in his, and the members erupted into cheers.
âAbout time!â Seungkwan yelled.
âFinally!â Mingyu added, throwing his arms in the air.
Jeonghan just smirked, leaning back against the wall. âTold you.â
Seungcheol rolled his eyes, but he couldnât stop smiling as he looked at Y/N.
It had taken them years to get here.
But it was worth every second.

Before London
The Dallas roads are busy, stretching out for miles out into the horizon as I stare out the window. My lungs craved fresh air, itching to open it. But I knew the air outside would bring no such relief, the humidity of this time of year already bringing me one step closer to packing my bags and making my way back to Connecticut. Everyone told me to turn the AC on, but I was much too stubborn and stuck in my ways. My dad would have come over himself and turn it off if he knew I was considering turning it on in April - much too early for his liking.
I had been here for a week now, seven long days. Each one making me more homesick. I missed my girls. I missed my team. I missed the normal weather and the East Coast. It was so bad I was on the phone with my dad every night, complaining. I knew as much as he loved me, he was getting sick of it.
âPaige, letâs figure this out,â Brittâs voice comes through the speaker phone, five garment bags sent by her laid out on the bed, ready to be opened.
âWhat do you even wear to this sorta thing?â I ask, speaking into the phone. My hands are opening one bag after another.
âBaby I dunno, you just gotta pick something. What kinda vibe do you wanna give off?â Brittany asks sweetly as I place my phone on the bed in front of me, pulling my shirt off over my head.
âI canât think, itâs too hot,â I complain, rubbing my face. âI hate it here, wanna come back.â
âPaige, you gotta push through this. Try and look at it differently, at least you like your teammates!âÂ
I whine and lie down, my back hitting the soft cotton of the sheets. âDo you think theyâd let me take my sixth year?â
âOh my gosh girl you gotta pull yourself together,â Brittany laughs, which in turn makes me laugh too. I knew I was being dramatic, my team was great, the coaching staff seemed amazing. But it was my first time living alone, I didnât know what to do with myself and all this energy I had. I felt like I was two days away from jumping off the walls.
Lou and Arike had both taken me under their wing, and the few joint practices weâd had with the team the past week seemed promising. Not good, but like there might be potential for something with hard work. I was well taken care of and grateful for it, but the thing is at Uconn I was spoiled. I got to live with my best friends. To spend every moment with them, get on their nerves and not worry because in the end they were my sisters.
âWhere are you going?â Britt asks.
âSome sorta steakhouse,â I answer, rubbing my eyes.
âBoujee or like⊠Texas?â
I snort, grabbing the phone from beside me.
âItâs a nice place I heard. But Rike been here for so long she mighta forgot what nice is,â I joke sitting back up.
âThen go with the blue bag.â
Unzipping it, I find a pair of black shorts, and an oversized dark green crewneck sweatshirt.Â
âIon know about this Britt itâs a lil⊠boring,â I mumble looking over the outfit. When did I last wear dark green anyway.
âThatâs why you dress it up girl! Wear a collared shirt under it, put on some chains, some nice shoes, trust itâll fit the vibe, you donât wanna be doing too much. Have I ever let you down?â
I sigh. I could see the vision the moment she started talking. âNo you have not,â I reply. âI gotta start getting ready. Thanks again.â
âAnytime Paige,â she answers and we hang up. I know silence canât echo, but itâs so overwhelming it almost feels like thatâs exactly what itâs doing. Storrs was always loud, lively. Now I had it so bad I was even missing KKâs neverending rambling.Â
Quickly putting on a playlist to get rid of the aching pressure on my chest, I begin to get ready, rapping along to a Drake song loudly - but who cares I live alone now. I sleek back my hair, pinning it into a bun - the one hairstyle I knew how to do. I put on some diamond studs, and take my time picking accessories, choosing just the right silver rings to match the chain on my neck, a cross hanging from it. Of course, Brittany had been right. The outfit was great, not too much for a nice restaurant but still totally me.
âShit,â I mumble to myself when I check the time, realising Lou must be waiting on me downstairs. Grabbing a white cross-body bag I run out the door, quickly making my way down where, just like I thought, the brunette was waiting, tapping on the steering wheel impatiently.
âSorry Iâm late,â I yelp climbing into the passenger seat. Since I barely knew Dallas, Lou had decided it was best if she drove both of us.
Shaking her head, the girl driving merges onto the road swiftly. âNot gonna be making a good impression if we bring our rookie to the party late,â Lou complains.
I scoff, leaning back against the seat and tapping on the back of my phone, feeling butterflies grow in my abdomen. I knew I made good first impressions, that people seemed to like me. I wasnât called the ultimate rizzler for nothing. But it was still daunting, I was about to meet all the people who worked behind the team, behind me just so we could do what we do.Â
The past week had been so strange. The change in dynamic was drastic. I had become so used to being the older one, the one to call the shots, to have so much wisdom to give. Almost naively so. All of a sudden I was back to being the baby - the one who didnât know anything, who had to depend on others. I thought I was prepared. But the transition was hard to navigate. I didnât quite know how to act, if I was honest.
âYo chill, Iâm not even that late,â I chuckle lightheartedly, looking out the car window, my eyes trying to find something worth changing my mind about Dallas for.
âTen minutes is too much, we gotta pick up Rike too,â Lou complains, hands on the wheel. It was only April but the humidity made it feel like summer. âWere you late talking to that girl?â
âWhat girl?â I ask.
âThat girl from last night!â Lou laughs, elbowing me.
I shrug, like I had no clue what she was talking about. A complete lie. I hadnât been thinking straight ever since I saw her.
âOhh you mean that girl downstairs!â I say sarcastically. The brunette next to me sees right through it though.
âNever heard your voice get so quiet and shaky I swear,â Lou says, a blush setting on the apples of my cheeks thinking back to last evening. âYou were fully stuttering.â
âNo way bro!â I groan, biting my lower lip so as to not laugh. Though I knew better. I was definitely stuttering.
I hadnât seen much of the girl, just her face poking through the door into the hallway. But something about her took my breath away, I couldnât look anywhere else. It was Lou finally elbowing me that made me realise I had been staring at the dark haired girl. She was so beautiful it physically pained me to look away, but with a struggle, I had done so.Â
But then she spoke. And if I wasnât trembling before, the lilt of her voice had me weak in the knees immediately. It was deep, yet simultaneously sweet. Nevermind the accent that hadnât left my head all night. Lou made fun of me relentlessly all night because apparently, my voice was shaking when I talked to her. I think she was full of shit.
âYou were, I donât blame you,â the brunette murmurs. âShe was hot.â
I kiss my teeth, looking out the window. âDonât matter, she could be Zendaya and I still wouldnât get into all that.â
Lou looks bewildered, eyes flickering between me and the road.
I grin at her, shaking my head. âNah Iâm staying celibate. Scoutâs honor. Got me that Natty last season.â
It was true. For the first time last season I had not been involved with any girl - and it worked out pretty well in the end. It got me the ring. Adapting to a new team, new city, new life was already hard enough without fucking around. Girls had a way of making everything complicated.
âYou? Celibate?â Lou asks, her tone skeptical. I suppose she remembers a different Paige from when we were both Huskies. I had changed a lot though, grown up.
âTrust,â I nod as we park in front of a nice apartment building, Arike making her way out and into the car.
âYo,â she greets us, and I nod into the rearview mirror, meeting her gaze.
âSup my rookie!â Arike grins and squeezes my shoulder. âYou ready for tonight?â
âArenât we just gonna eat and go home?â I ask but Lou and Rike are quick to shake their heads.
âNah these things donât end till late, we know how to party here you know what Iâm sayin?â The girl in the back grins.
âDonât blame you, nothing else to do here,â I complain half-jokingly.Â
âYooo not too much. Youâll grow to like it,â Arike laughs, grabbing her phone. âJust donât drink everything people offer you today, got it?â
âYeah, everyoneâs gonna be trying to get you drunk,â Lou chuckles. âMy rookie year they had me almost blacked out.â
âAlmost? You were blacked out. We had to carry you to bed.â
I laugh and sigh, rubbing my jaw, my nerves stirring within my abdomen. âGreat.â
-
The restaurant is buzzing with people, an entire second floor reserved just for the Dallas Wings employees. Arike, Lou and I show up fashionably late, but to my pleasant surprise everyoneâs too busy huddling around the bar, lining up for drinks. I smooth over my green sweatshirt, already feeling the heat get to me. How the hell was I supposed to dress for weather like this? It wasnât even summer yet.
I walk over to Satou, whoâs grinning widely at me.
âLook at you, our baby rookie. Letâs get you a drink!â She smiles convincingly. I glance at Arike and Lou behind me, snickering amongst themselves already. So it begins.
âFeels wrong to drink at a team event like this,â I tell the taller girl, guiding me towards the bar. I was more used to sneaking drinks into hotel rooms, doing our best to hide them from the coaching staff. Guess this is what growing up feels like.
âNah, donât worry. Everyoneâs chill here,â Satou laughs and orders us two beers before I have the opportunity to interrupt and ask for a Shirley. Reluctantly I grab the beer, cheering with the girl next to me.
âTo the saviour of the Wings!!â She jokes and I roll my eyes, shaking my head.
âSorry, but could you check if they are Manzanilla olives?â
The accent. I immediately turn my back on Satou, my body working before my mind can as my eyes scan the room. And then I see her. The girl from the apartment underneath mine.
Sheâs standing at the other end of the bar, holding a black clutch in her hand as she talks with the bartender. Her dark hair is down, in perfect waves, not one strand out of order. The dress sheâs wearing isnât red, but more maroon, shade matching the red of her lipstick to the hilt. The one-shoulder dress leaves her left one completely bare, and the golden jewelry sitting against her light brown skin makes her sparkle in the moody lighting. No words would do justice, I know that much. My knees nearly buckle at the sight of her. This strange girl whose name I didnât even know, yet kept haunting my existence here in Dallas.
âOh theyâre not? Then nevermind the martini, could I just get a glass of Chardonnay please?â
If I had been nervous before, then it was nothing compared to the way my stomach was stirring now. Which is insane considering I didnât even know this girlâs name. Hell, I better just avoid her tonight. Iâm not on my a game. I should just keep my distance.
âPaige! Thatâs the girl!â Lou is half whispering, half screaming over the crowd, incredibly obviously pointing at the dark haired girl. To my relief she doesnât notice, too busy swirling the wine in her glass around and sniffing it.Â
âShut up,â I mouth to Lou as she walks up to me, Arike on her tail.
âWhat girl?â Arike whispers, already eyeing every woman over my shoulder.
I give Lou a look, widening my eyes and telling her to keep her mouth shut. But of course, it fails. I had no power here.
âWe ran into this hot girl in Paigeâs building yesterday and Paigey here got all shy and nervous.â
Arike bursts out laughing, and Iâm pretty sure my face was going completely pink at this point. So I sip half of my beer quickly, letting the girls get over their laughing fit.
âYou done?â I ask in annoyed, eyeing the girls.
Gasping for air, Arike nods and grins at me. âWell go get her.â
âShe canât, sheâs celibate,â Lou answers. The shorter girl standing next to her scoffs, clearly finding amusement in that.
âYeah, good luck with that. Youâre the new hooper in town, gonâ be drowning in pussy. I was,â she says, sipping her beer. âThe rookie year is crazy.â
âOh trust, she was drowning in it at Uconn too-â
âOkay okay, chill guys,â I interrupt the conversation, Satou standing next to us quietly and chuckling to herself.Â
âSo which one is it?â Arike asks. Glancing over my shoulder I see the girl from downstairs talking to some guy around the same age as her. Just as Iâm about to point her out, Satou and Arike are waving that exact guy over.
âYo Trey!! My guy!!â
All of a sudden heâs walking over with her. I feel my face going red, my breathing growing ragged, my eyes quickly flicking to the floor. She was like the sun, as much as I wanted to I couldnât look directly at her - it might blind me.
âWhatâs up, my favourite girls!â The guy - Trey, apparently - says brightly and dabs all of them up.Â
âAhh and the prodigy!â He grins, turning to me. I lick my lower lip and smile back, offering my hand. âIâm the guy with the camera, youâll see me around. Trey.â
I dab him up, ignoring the tingling on the left side of my body where the dark haired girl is standing, evidently feeling as awkward as I was. Except she was better at hiding it, looking around the room with an air of confidence.
âWell Iâm the one with the basketball, youâll know where to find me. Iâm Paige,â I flash him my most charming smile. Everyone laughs at my joke, except the girl beside me. I quickly decide that perhaps getting drunk wouldnât be such a bad idea.
âOh this is Zari, sheâs new from England, Linda finally hired someone to work on the social media shit,â Trey explains, pointing to the girl between me and him. I blink stupidly when I look at her. Somehow she was more beautiful up close which made my throat feel tighter. I quickly sip my beer again, looking to the ceiling. Fuck, pull yourself together. I wasnât this superficial - feeling like this just because someone was hot. Who knows, she might be the worst person youâve ever met.
âThat would be me, hi!â She says when I realise I was barely listening to Trey before, completely not making note of her name. She shakes everyoneâs hand, smiling kindly. Fuck, are my hands sweaty? Better wipe them on my shorts first. I gotta make eye contact - Iâm sure a couple seconds will be enough. It might be all I can bear.
The girl turns to me, her right hand extended. I glance at it, gripping it gently. Her hand shake is surprisingly firm, but I barely notice, feeling as if my skin is on fire. The moment our eyes meet I look away, knowing that everyone and their mothers could tell I was blushing right now.
âI forgot your name,â is all that comes out of my mouth, so clumsily I wanna hide behind the bar and never come out when I realise how rude it sounded.
To my shock sheâs not taken aback at all by my bluntness, instead holding herself with an almost regal air. I wasnât sure if I was intimated or turned on - either way I was overcome with a desperate need to make her like me. Surely I was off to a horrible start.
Our eyes meet again. Hers are dark green, deep and rich like the pine trees back home. I can feel myself wanting to sink in deeper, to bask in their familiarity. To feel the sting of cold air and smell the snow falling from the sky and to bask in the scent of pine all over me. Before I know it I notice her glossed lips move, but my ears barely pick anything up. An I? And I think there was an A at the end? You gotta be kidding me.
âI- Ivanna?â I stutter. She chuckles softly, as the others around us snicker amongst themselves. Bitches.Â
âNo, darling, letâs try again,â she smiles, her tone so sweet itâs bordering on condescending. I fucking swoon at it. âIzara.â
I nod, not sure if the heat on my face is from how hot and humid it was inside the restaurant, or from the public humiliation in front of this gorgeous girl. I chuckle mostly to myself, rubbing my jaw and looking around to break eye contact finally. Far too distracting.
âIzara,â I repeat, noticing Satou, Arike, Lou and some of the others laughing at my clumsy behaviour. I was just begging Izara didnât make note of why I was acting a fool.Â
âZari is better,â the brunette says, a slight teasing tone to her voice. I breathe heavily out my nose, trying to get the blush to settle from my cheeks.
âZari, got it.â
âTook you long enough,â Arike teases, making everyone laugh, except Zari who just smiles at me.
âGuys, not all of us are used to the Texas heat. It messes with your head,â she says with enough authority in her voice to make everyone around us stop laughing and give me sympathetic looks.
âUhh yeah, itâs hot,â I answer bluntly, my voice shaking a little as I rub my neck. On top of the mess I was, I could feel myself sweating. I have to get home as fast as possible. Or not home. But back to the apartment I was staying in for now, until the moment I could go back home to the East Coast.
âShit, Iâm Paige by the way,â I say, realising I never introduced myself to Zari. She scoffs, waving me off.
âPaige, itâs my job to know who you are,â she points out. Itâs funny, and I want to laugh. But nothing comes out of my mouth, Iâm simply unable to, her proximity leaving me completely discombobulated. So I just sip my beer.
âRight.â
-
Paige Bueckers hates me. The moment she met me I could tell. Maybe she was offended by the fact I didnât recognise her last night. Figures, a star like her would have a huge ego. Still, I had one job tonight. To make her like me. And I had done the exact opposite. I could tell by the way she avoided my gaze, the way she barely wanted to shake my hand, abruptly pulling it away from my grip. She barely talked to me, wrapped up in a conversation with everyone besides me. I couldnât afford to disappoint my boss, if I did it would be bye bye Dallas and hello London.Â
Iâm sitting between Trey and another colleague, Ava, both caught up in a lively conversation as I cut a piece of my steak, wrapping my lips around the fork and chewing on it. Glancing up from my plate, I see Paige throwing her head back as she laughs with her teammates, her entire demeanor so much more lively now that I wasnât close to her. A slight irritation was growing in me, watching the carefree way sheâs joking around with the people around her part of the long table. Who was she to make up her mind on whether she liked me so fast. I was the kind of person you grew to love. Iâm sure she would as well.
âOkay everybody!â Curt Miller stands up clinking his glass with the cutlery. Suddenly everyone goes quiet, including the blonde. For a second our eyes meet, sending a strange jolt around my body. Blinking, I shift my gaze to the man, clearly ready to give a speech.
âAlright alright,â he laughs, âI just wanna thank everyone for coming here tonight. I was never good at these so let me keep it short. This is gonna be a big, exciting year and Iâm so grateful to the Wings for giving me this opportunity. I know Iâm a new face to some of you, but Iâm in great company,â he grins and points to Paige. âAnd Linda here mentioned something about a new media employee too!â
Like on cue Linda stands up a few chairs to the right of me, nodding. âYes Curt, weâve got some young blood to help this year all the way from England. Izara here, should help us grow our social media reach.â
I smile, trying to focus on appearing together and poised, some people glancing towards me.Â
âAwesome news!â Curt grins as Linda sits back down. âWith two young talents Iâm sure weâre gonna have a hell of a year,â he says, glancing at both me and Paige. I see Arike rub Paigeâs shoulder, clearly excited and happy about how the lottery turned out for the Wings this year.
âNow since Iâm boring everyone out of their minds why donât you two say a few words.â
Pause. I feel a panic rise from somewhere deep in my abdomen. Donât get me wrong, I had no issue with public speaking, no issue with performing. What I did have an issue with was improvising. I was the girl who planned, who made lists, who used to finish her essays the day before a deadline. With a plan I was golden, but to expect me to say anything, planless, was causing jitters. I was just hoping it didnât show on my face.
Mine and Paigeâs eyes meet, and I immediately know that I wasnât as composed as I wanted to be. That she knew I was panicking. Bet this is just gonna make her hate me more.
Instead, to my surprise, she clears her throat and begins speaking with an easy confidence.
âUh well, way to throw us under the bus Curt,â she jokes, immediately making everyone chuckle, including me. âGuess I know what kinda season this is about to be.â Another round of laughs around the table giving her time to scratch the back of her neck as she thinks. With a slight smirk on her face she continues.
âThis is a big moment for me. I grew up with the sport, already knew I had a chance to go pro when I was eight. Iâve been waiting for a while to get to the league and to finally be here⊠Itâs surreal. I feel really blessed, really grateful,â she says looking at her plate and then letting out a sly, quiet laugh. âCrazy that Iâm drinking with the coaching staff right there, Iâm so used to having to hide it.â
I chuckle with the rest of the group. Thereâs something about her, a smoothness, a charm that makes it impossible not to like her. Even improvising like this she seems completely in control, like she knows sheâs got everyone wrapped around her finger. Itâs impressive. I canât look away.
âGeno didnât let you drink?â Curt asks lightheartedly, making Paigeâs blue eyes widen.
âHe wouldâve put belt to ass, lemme just say that.â
More laughter. Paige looks around meeting my gaze.
âZari, I know you got that cold right? So maybe I should just speak for you so you have a voice tomorrow?â
Huh? I furrow my brows looking at her confused, but her eyes wonât budge, boring into mine. And then I realise. Sheâs trying to let me off the hook.
âYes please,â I smile back, looking down to my lap. Something about the way she did that all for me, picked up on my nerves, found a way to get me out of it, was making my insides flip. You wouldnât do that for someone you hate I suppose.
âI gotchu,â Paige grins, looking back to everyone around the table. âI think weâre both just really grateful for the opportunity and really excited for the season. Anyway, thanks guys.âÂ
Everyone claps and I do too, my heart warming at the way Paige Bueckers had just saved me.Â
âWait, you're sick?â Trey whispers.Â
âUh, a little.â
-
âHope you feel better Zari!â Ava says as I wave bye, walking towards the exit.
âThanks guys, Iâm sure I will,â I say, knowing I felt just fine. Great even, after a few glasses of wine. As I step out into the evening, I hold my fur coat in my hands, too hot to put it on. To my surprise I see Paige standing right outside the restaurant, scrolling on her phone. Interrupted by the tapping of my heels, she lifts her gaze, the intensity of her blue eyes surprising.
âHey,â she smiles, avoiding looking at my face again. She was really giving me mixed signals.
âHi there,â I say, walking closer. âThanks for rescuing me earlier.â
She looks at the parking lot, a sly smirk spreading across her face.
âNah, youâre good,â the blonde grins, diamond studs in her ears sparkling. âNot a fan of speeches?â
I shrug, taking that as an invite for conversation. âNo I can certainly be⊠If you give me approximately two weeks to prepare. Minimum.â
Paige chuckles, nodding to herself. âYouâre that kinda girl huh?â
âDesperately so.â
She shifts on her feet, looking for something to say.
âThatâs a good trait to have, I try to plan too but usually doesnât last for longer than a week or two,â she explains. I nod knowingly.
âMy brotherâs a bit like that,â I sigh. I was already missing him.
Paige turns to me, looking for my gaze.
âYou got a brother?â
I nod, âYeah, heâs younger. Your age.â
Sheâs taken aback. âHollup how old are you?â
âTurned 25 last month.â
âDamn,â she says before thinking. I scoff, my eyes widening, though finding amusement in her reaction
âAre you calling me old?â I ask with a serious tone, her face immediately going bright red.Â
âNo, no no, not at all. You look⊠great. Amazing, and like. Thatâs not even old, I'm just trippinâ. I just assumed you were my age but like a year is nothin-â she rambles, tripping over her words.
âPaige Iâm taking the piss,â I laugh. She stops, looking at me confused.
âYouâre what?â
Oh right, Americans. âIâm joking around.â
She laughs. âTaking the piss?â
I laugh too, the air immediately easing between us.
âIâmma start using that,â Paige chuckles, glancing at me.Â
âYouâre welcome,â I grin.
She scoffs. âI didnât say thank you.â
âYou should,â I demand, more seriously, meeting her blue eyes. She immediately folds, blinking her long lashes.
âThank you.â
I suddenly feel hot, warmth rising to my cheeks. I quickly look back to the ground, the intensity of her gaze too much right now.
âHey, uh⊠I think we live in the same building,â she murmurs, watching the sky. Shit, she had recognised me, of course.
âYeah⊠Iâm sorry I didnât recognise you. I really should have,â I quickly explain, feeling a little abashed but trying not to let it show.
âNo, I just meant, I ordered an Uber. You need a ride?â
Oh. So she wasnât mad. She was offering me a ride.
âIâd love one. Are you sure?â
âTotally,â Paige answers, smiling at me softly. She fans her own face, trying to find any relief for the heat.Â
âShit itâs hot,â the blonde groans. âDo you mind if I take this off? I got a shirt underneath.â
âOh, no go ahead darling,â I tell her.
With a sigh, Paigeâs hands grip the back of her green sweatshirt, pulling it over her head. As she does my eyes canât help it, flickering over her lower abdomen where both shirts have hiked up, showing a sliver of pale skin and black boxers peeking out of her shorts. Something about it makes my throat go dry. Iâm not exactly sure what. The feeling almost unfamiliar to me.Â
âThatâs so much better,â Paige groans with relief, fixing the white oversized button up, chains resting against her chest. I feel my ears growing hot, quickly averting her gaze.
-
Sheâs not horrible, on top of being gorgeous sheâs fucking great - funny, sweet, charismatic. Would be so much easier if Zari was an asshole like I had hoped earlier. I could feel butterflies in my stomach every time she looked at me. That familiar warmth that I knew too well.
We walk to the Uber together, and I make sure I open the door for her - I didnât know her that well, but I could tell she was classy. On a whole different level than me.Â
I climb in after her, unbuttoning more of my shirt for some airflow. For a second I think I catch her staring, but I knew it was unlikely. She was definitely giving me straight girl vibes. Of course my stupid ass was ogling after a straight girl - nothing new to me. My eyes immediately land on her thighs, her legs crossed and pressing together as she sits next to me. Okay, get a grip Paige.
âSo⊠How you liking Dallas?â I ask, unable to take the silence in the car.Â
âI havenât seen much of it, just moved the other day,â she answers, her voice low but smooth, I couldâve listened to her talk all night. âItâs very humid.â
âDamn that jetlag gotta be hitting hard huh?â I ask, looking at her.
âI look tired?â She asks, offended. An immediate panic takes over, my hands gripping the sweater in my hands. Shit.
âNo you look fucking great. I wouldâve never th-â
âPaige. Iâm joking.â
Oh. I let out a sigh of relief, chuckling awkwardly. I look out the window, shaking my head at myself. I really needed to chill.
âTaking the piss?â
She lets out a loud, bright laugh, grabbing my forearm. The gold rings on her digits sparkle as her long, manicured nails dig into the white shirt. Immediate goosebumps rising underneath on my skin tell me Iâm completely fucked.
âExactly!â She gleams, her smile wide. âYou did so good.â
That. I need to hear her say that again. I clear my throat to interrupt the bad thoughts, feeling Zariâs hand move off me, skin tingling as the weight of her touch lifts.
We pull up to our apartment building, both of us climbing out.
âI can transfer you some money for the ride,â Zari suggests as I let her into the building, eyes falling on her ass just for a second. Okay, no. Look away.
âNo, Ion need you to,â I tell her sternly as we begin to climb up the flights of steps, her heels tapping against the tile of the floor. The sound echoes off the walls until we stop by her front door, silence draping over us, making me painfully aware of the way my heart was pounding in my chest.
âWell,â Zari smiles, turning to me, her green eyes even more prominent with the dark makeup surrounding them. Only then I notice how catlike they are, sharp and alert. Challenging almost.
I wanna say something smart, something witty. Something to make her laugh, or blush. Iâm rummaging through my brain for anything coherent at least.
âIâll see you at work,â she says, opening her door. I was running out of time.
âYouâll know where to find me,â I stupidly let out. Zari turns to look at me one more time and nods.
âDonât stomp too loud please.â
With that she gets in, leaving me there with nothing to do but blink at the closed door and notice the flutters around my stomach. Rubbing my jaw, I slowly climb up one more flight of stairs, mind spinning around the girl. Completely, utterly out of my league. It only made me want her more.

okay but a paige x highschool sweetheart headcannonsâŠâŠ.đ€«
youâve known paige since middle school, back when she had braces and that oversized basketball hoodie she wore like a uniform. you werenât best friends right away, though
she was the loud one, all confidence and easy laughter, and you were⊠not. but eighth grade science class changed thatâshe offered you half of her sandwich during a field trip, and suddenly, she was sitting next to you every day
and by the time high school started, paige was already a star
everyone knew her name, not just because she was the point guard who could do things no one else could, but because she had that kind of energy that pulled people in
and yet, her favorite place to be was still with youâsitting on your bedroom floor, eating pizza, and letting you quiz her on geometry proofs. she claimed you were her good luck charm whenever she passed a test
paige didnât officially ask you out until sophomore year. she said sheâd been working up the courage for monthsâyou laughed because, honestly, what did paige bueckers have to be nervous about?
but she was fidgeting with the drawstring of her hoodie, looking at you like sheâd miss her next shot if you said no. of course, you didnât
being with paige meant learning to share her with the world. you went to all her games, cheered louder than anyone else, and learned to love the way sheâd scan the crowd for you after every buzzer, that grin of hers lighting up the whole gym when she found you
sheâd sneak you into post-game interviews sometimes, just so she could wink at you while pretending to answer a serious question
she loved basketball, sure, but she loved you, tooâin a way that made it clear you werenât just her high school sweetheart
you were her person, the one she wanted next to her, whether she was on the court or sitting on the roof of your car, counting stars
and when senior year rolled aroundâthe stakes felt higher, both on and off the court. she was being courted by every top college program in the country, and youâyou were figuring out what life after high school might look like for the two of you
late-night talks turned into plans scrawled in notebooks, filled with possibilities of visits, long-distance calls, and maybe even the same college, if the stars aligned just right
when the acceptance letters came in, it felt like fate. uconn for both of you!
paige couldnât stop smiling for days, talking about how youâd get to keep cheering her on, just in a bigger arena. but the transition to college wasnât as seamless as either of you had hoped
paige was the star recruitâthe freshman everyone had their eyes on. she was juggling practice, games, media appearances, and the pressure of being "the next big thing"
meanwhile, you were trying to find your footing in a new environment, feeling a little like you were standing in her shadow for the first time
it wasnât anyoneâs fault, but there were nights when it felt like the distance between you wasnât just physical. you missed the simplicity of high school, the way things felt so easy back then
paige triedâshe really didâto balance it all, but sometimes it felt like basketball demanded every piece of her
by sophomore year, the fights started. little things at firstâmissed plans, forgotten texts. but they added up, like a pressure cooker ready to burst. there was one night, after a particularly tough loss, when everything came out
"iâm trying my best, okay?" sheâd said, voice raw. "you think i donât miss how things used to be? but this⊠this is my dream. and i donât know how to do it all."
"and what about us?" youâd shot back, tears in your eyes. "am i supposed to just wait around while basketball gets all of you?"
it was the kind of fight that felt like a turning pointâthe kind where you either figure it out or fall apart. and somehow, through the tears and the yelling, you found a way to talk. really talk.
paige admitted sheâd been scared of losing you, of letting you down. you told her how lonely youâd been, how hard it was to feel like you were coming second to everything else. by the time the sun started to rise, youâd fallen asleep on her dorm room floor, her arms wrapped tightly around you, like she was scared youâd disappear if she let go
things werenât perfect after that but they were better. you both learned how to make time for each other, even when it felt like there wasnât any to spare
paige started bringing you to practices sometimes, letting you sit courtside while she worked through drills. you found your own rhythm at school, joining clubs and making friends who reminded you that you were more than just "paige bueckersâ girlfriend."
by the end of sophomore year, youâd both grown in ways you didnât expect. paige was still the same girl who gave you half her sandwich back in eighth grade, and you were still her good luck charm
but now, you were partners, tooâfiguring out how to build a life together, one game, one moment at a time

Yeah, I wanted to do ttrpg adventures in my Red Riders story setting and decided I didn't want to try to make my own damn system or try to find the system out there that best fit my vision and then convince my friends to learn it. So I homebrewed a Red Riders flavored D&D setting instead.
I actually found it kinda, interesting/helpful in some ways because it forced me to ask a lot of questions about my world and think about what information my players would need (and would want) to have in order to come up with characters and enjoy playing with me in my universe. Do I need to use all this info in my stories? Absolutely not! Do I like having settled some concepts and vocabulary sorted out that I can just sprinkle into stories? Yes!
I will acknowledge that this is not like an efficient way to do world-building for a project. It took me several months to get anything to a playable state, and then several more months after a first playtest to get it to place where I was content with it. (It could stand to be improved, but it's fun as is). And then there were a lot of places where I ended up with two answers to some questions. The "real" answer and the "D&D compatible" answer. And it can be a little frustrating having a solid sense of how something should work and not being able to make it work mechanically. (And honestly, there are things that are fun to read about that would not make an interesting play experience for most people! Figuring out what my players wanted to be able to do and what experience I wanted them to be able to have in my world, and how I could try to make that all work within the system i was playing with was also an interesting exercise!)
There were also some places where assumptions about character/story/world built into D&D were so incompatible with the segment of the Red Riders universe I had chosen to play with that I had to rewrite or entirely omit some things. For example: I left out entire character classes. Even the classes I did keep got tweaked, or required new flavor text.
It was a very interesting project, but also one that made it very clear to me that D&D is not a universal system. (duh). I don't think I have it in me to write up my own perfectly tailored ttrpg for Red Riders. (....yet?) but modding an existing system by breaking and rebuilding things until I get something satisfying to play with was actually pretty fun for me, so I am now eyeing other systems that are better suited mechanically to certain aspects of Red Riders As A Game Experience and hoping some day to find the energy to break more things!
So yeah. Making my story's universe fit neatly into D&D framework was impossible. Violence all around!
Writing fantasy and speculative fiction is actual Hell because achieving verisimilitude demands that you, the author, have a clear idea of how the speculative or fantastical elements of your setting work, but the story will almost always be improved by not explaining it to the reader.
#d&d#homebrew#red riders#worldbuilding#fantasy worldbuilding#do I recommend turning your worldbuilding into a homebrew setting for an incompatible ttrpg system?#only if you enjoy doing violence to your world and the original ttrpg#only if your idea of a good time is trying to put together a puzzle made of two preexisting separate puzzles and trying to make it look goo#unfortunately#I am the sort of person where this is an enrichment activity

Can u do one abt Sae Itoshi being a girl dad?đ„č
AYAYYYA when I saw that I had to make this request immediately + Nagi and Rin are with you!
Bllk Boys If they become a girl father
Sae Itoshi
Sae wakes up early in the morning to help his daughter get ready for kindergarten. Normally calm and reserved, Sae doesnât complain when his daughter insists on putting a âprincess crownâ on his head while heâs combing her hair. Seeing himself in the mirror wearing a pink crown, he smirks slightly and says:
âDoesnât this make me too cool?â His daughter, with a serious expression responds âNo Papa, itâs just perfect!â
On the way to school, his daughter bombards him with questions like, âWhatâs your favorite color, Papa?â Sae, instead of his usual short answers, takes a moment to think and says, âMaybe blue⊠but your favorite colors might be betterâ
Sweet Details:
Saeâs daughter proudly tells her friends, âMy dad is the best football player in the world!â Even though Sae tries to stay composed, her admiration secretly makes him incredibly happy
While teaching his daughter how to play football, she somehow manages to dribble past him and score a goal. Sae quietly mumbles âMust be the genesâ but deep down, he feels proud beyond words
His daughter loves drawing pictures for him. One day, Sae takes one of her drawings and puts it in his sports bag. Before an important match, he looks at it for motivation.
At night, Sae softly hums a traditional Japanese lullaby to his daughter as she falls asleep. Itâs one of the few moments where his stoic exterior melts into pure warmth and love
Nagi Seishiro
Nagi plans to spend his weekend morning sleeping in, but he wakes up to his daughter poking his cheek with her tiny hands
âDaaaad! Wake up! We need to have breakfast and play!â she says with boundless energy. Nagi groans and mutters âUgh⊠five more minutesâŠâ
But when his daughter furrows her brows and sternly replies, âFive minutes? No way, now!â he canât help but smile. âAlright, alright you winâ he says, picking her up and carrying her on his shoulder as they head to the kitchen
Despite Nagiâs lazy tendencies, his daughterâs energy and demands always win him over. Sometimes, he even finds himself unexpectedly having fun while playing with her
Sweet Details:
Nagiâs daughter might be hyperactive, curious, and constantly looking for things to do. Although it clashes with his laid-back personality, Nagi learns to adapt and becomes more active because of her
Nagiâs idea of a âdaddy-daughter dayâ often includes binge-watching cartoons, ordering pizza, and him trying (and failing) to braid her hair. While heâs not the best at hairstyling, heâll do anything to make her laugh
Nagi easily gets drawn into her imaginative world. Whether itâs pretending to be a king, a monster, or a hero saving her, he goes along with it. Afterward, though, heâll collapse on the couch and say âThat was exhaustingâŠâ
His daughter loves to challenge her dad, saying things like âLetâs race! If I win, you have to buy me ice cream!â Nagi reluctantly agrees and usually lets her win. But sometimes, his competitive side sneaks in, and he plays seriously
Despite his lazy nature, Nagi is fiercely protective of his daughter. Just the thought of her getting hurt makes him unexpectedly serious and determined to keep her safe
Rin Itoshi
One evening, Rin comes home from training, exhausted. As he opens the door, he hears a small voice shout
âDaddyyyy!â
His daughter runs up to him with bright eyes and says, âLetâs play soccer Daddy!â Rin looks at her, a bit startled, and replies
âAt this hour? You have school tomorrow, young lady.â But when she pouts, he sighs and gives in, saying âFine, but only for five minutesâ
Before he knows it, theyâre out in the yard playing. She manages to dribble the ball and score between his legs. As she jumps and cheers, Rin smirks slightly and says,
âI guess we shouldnât tell your mom we played this lateâ
Sweet Details:
Rin tries to be the âperfect dadâ and takes everything very seriously. He wants to provide the best environment for his daughter. However, whenever she hugs him and says âYouâre the best dad ever!â his stern exterior softens
Rin teaches his daughter how to play soccer but never pressures her. Instead, he encourages her to enjoy the game at her own pace. One day, when she pulls off a tricky move, he mutters to himself
âMust be the genesâ
Rin is extremely protective of his daughter. If someone bothers her at school or hurts her feelings, Rin steps in immediatelyâthough he tries to handle things calmly and rationally
At night, Rin often tells his daughter bedtime stories about famous soccer players. At the end of every story, she snuggles up to him and says âBut youâre the best one Daddyâ For Rin, itâs the highlight of his day
Princess not: Rin affectionately calls her âMy Little Lionâ because sheâs just as determined and stubborn as he is
Enjoy!

Twst chars from most to least likely to entertain ur weird bs
Note = by weird bs, I mean like ur random ass behaviours, from screaming random stuff to pranking ppl... This has been in my drafts for a whileee... enjoy
MOST
Ace Trappola
Ace is LITERALLY the embodiment of chaos. He loves to stir things up and will almost always jump into pranks or loud public behavior. His mischievous nature and carefree attitude make him a perfect partner in crime for wild antics. Heâll often initiate chaos just for fun, and his energy is contagious.
2. Kalim Al-Asim
This is a no brainer, he'll literally join in everything and ANYTHING you're doing, no matter how busy he is. He thinks everything your doing is fun and he won't wanna miss it for the world.
3. Cater Diamond
Cater LIVES for content and trends. Anything that promises or even slightly hints at entertainment (or is post-worthy) will have him fully engaged, he's listening as soon as you mention anything fun. Heâll even suggest to turn your antics into videos or memes.
4. Lilia Vanrouge
He literally tricks his friends for no absolute reason at all. ANYTHING that promises trouble for him, he's in. He adores chaos and he'll go wherever it goes and it's going in your direction.
5. Floyd Leech
Floyd loves unpredictability, so as long as your antics keep him entertained, heâs gonna be there. But once he gets bored, youâre on your own so you better keep it fun.
6. Jade Leech
He enjoys watching chaos unfold, and while he might not always start it, heâll definitely join in. And he's not going to deny entry in your chaos.
7. Ruggie Bucchi
Another no brainer, bro literally tricks people for his own benefit. He is down for fun, especially if itâs harmless pranks or mischief. He loves silly ideas as long as they donât get him into trouble.
8. Rook Hunt
Rook finds beauty in everything, even your weirdness. Heâll narrate your antics poetically while fully participating, making everything feel dramatic and epic, only further motivating you into doing smt crazier.
In the middle of most and least likely, varies on the situation kinda guy
9. Sebek Zigvolt
Heâs loud, intense, and has a strong presence, especially when it comes to Malleus. And while he might not always go along with pranks, he can certainly be swept up in the moment, especially if it involves defending his pride.
10. Deuce Spade
Yes, he might be quite dumb sometimes but he is not like that all the time. But when heâs in a group, heâll sometimes get swept up in the chaos, but itâs not something he seeks out on his own. He enjoys the excitement but can feel out of place in overly loud, chaotic situations.
11. Ortho Shroud
He'll engage with genuine enthusiasm, analyzing your dopamine levels to determine whether or not he'll join. If itâs wholesome, heâs all in. However, if itâs dangerous, expect him to step in with big-brother energy (even if he's younger).
12. Epel Felmier
Since epel is a bit more rebellious and will join in on chaotic behavior when it suits him. Heâs not afraid to break the rules, especially if itâs for a good reason. BUT he might be hesitant to start chaos on his own but will happily get involved if itâs fun or a way to express himself.
13. Jamil Viper
Jamil is composed and prefers to keep things orderly, but heâs not completely against chaos. If it serves his goal or itâs in the best interest of his plans, he will engage but heâs not the first to initiate chaos, but heâll follow along if itâs part of his strategy or if it helps him control the situation.
14. Azul Ashengrotto
Azul prefers things to be controlled and orderly, and he isnât one to create chaos just for fun. However, if thereâs a situation where the chaos might even benefit him or his business, he wonât hesitate to join in. His motivations are more strategic, so heâs likely to engage in pranks or chaos if it serves a purpose.
15. Leona Kingscholar
Leona is the type to avoid unnecessary noise and chaos, preferring peace and quiet. However, if heâs in a good mood or if chaos is tied to something that interests him, he might engage. Heâs not the first to start pranks, but he might join in if he finds it amusing or if it helps him relax.
16. Malleus Draconia
Malleus doesnât actively seek chaos, but his curiosity and fascination with human behavior make him more likely to get involved in loud or chaotic situations, especially if they intrigue him. Heâs not loud or disruptive by nature, but heâll join in if heâs in a group, or if the situation calls for it.
17. Jack Howl
Jack is a serious guy, but heâs also loyal to his friends. If the situation calls for it or if his friends are involved, heâll reluctantly join in on pranks or chaotic activities. Heâs not one to seek out chaos, but heâll participate if itâs necessary or if it helps bond with others.
18. Silver
Silver will go along with your antics even though he might not fully understand the point. BUT if itâs too chaotic for him, heâll try to steer you toward calmer activities, kinda saving u and him from trouble.
19. Riddle Rosehearts
Riddle is strict and values rules and order above all else. His temper can get the better of him, though, especially if someone challenges his authority or pushes his limits. He might reluctantly get involved in chaos, particularly if itâs something that breaks the rules, but heâs not someone who enjoys it on a daily basis.
LEAST (No way, nuh uh)
20. Trey Clover
Trey is calm, collected, and extremely responsible. He values order and structure and will steer clear of any chaotic or loud activities. You'll NEVER catch him dragged into chaos, willingly.
21. Vil Schoenheit
Vil is all about maintaining perfection, both in his appearance and in his environment. He wonât tolerate loud or chaotic behavior, as it conflicts with his polished image. He avoids situations that might risk his reputation or status and is very unlikely to partake in any public mayhem.
22. Idia Shroud
It's no secret that Idia WAY prefers to stay out of the spotlight. He would rather stay in his room gaming than get involved in chaotic public behavior. Loud pranks and disruptive activities are his worst nightmare, and he avoids them at all costs.
A/N = The order is so... tacky ew... pls tell me if you disagree or there are any mistakesđ

Aw, I love how you write the buggy boy Waspinator <3
Heâs puppy. Ugly puppy.
Worker Bee Pt 9
Waspinator x Reader
âą âPlease, put me down.â Surprised at how calm your voice is considering youâd just heard your wet towel hit the floor and your clingy, alien bestie has you plastered against him. Those purple optics just stare down at you as his mandibles flex. And you wait for the inevitable âwhy.â Because anytime you ask him to do anything he doesnât want to do, itâs his go to. That much youâve figured out. âHumans donât like being naked around strangers,â you add trying to answer the question before he can even ask. Not sure if modesty actually means anything to him when he doesnât wear clothes and has nothing to actually cover up anyway.
âą âNot strangers,â he says, slightly hurt. Youâre friends. His only friend, the only person he feels like he can trust. Who doesnât hurt him just because heâs there. âNot strangers.â Aware heâs repeating himself, that the words are more buzz than comprehendible, but it matters. Needs you to understand this. Wings fluttering as he lowers you to your feet and drags you back when you immediately try to escape. Curling himself around you.
âą âI didnât mean it like that,â you groan, trying to push him away as he just clings. Making that pitiful buzzing whine of distress and hugging you to him, still oblivious to the fact that youâre mortified and naked. âWeâre friends.â Awkwardly patting him on the head and nearly getting an antenna to the eye when they swing forward to touch your face in return. How is this your life? âBest friends, but humans arenât usually naked around friends. Modesty. We like wearing clothes.â Exasperated, you almost cry when he lets go and bends to get your towel. Even if his antenna slide against your inner thighs and belly in the process.
âą Venting softly as you wrap the bit of cloth about yourself and gently push at him, he doesnât budge. Knows you want him to leave even though he doesnât want to. Pretending to not understand, he wanders over to the little shiny box on your dresser and opens it. âSnacks?â And youâre running over, nearly losing your towel again as you take the box away and carry it to the far side of the room.
âą âPlease donât eat my jewelry.â Heâs just staring at you with confused optics as you set the jewelry box in the closet and start hunting clothes. Youâre going to have to start wearing your expensive pieces so he doesnât sneak them as snacks. Drifting back to the dresser to get underclothes, youâre aware of him just watching. âYouâre not going to leave so I can get dressed, are you?â Head tilting and antenna lifting, you decide thatâs a no. Of course not. âOkay. Sure.â Grabbing him by the arm, youâre surprised when he lets you turn him around so his back is to you. âJust stay. Donât move.â
âą Humming softly as he listens to the soft sound of cloth sliding, he fidgets his wings and waits. Doesnât know what this new game is, but hopes heâll get a reward for being good. Hungry again and knowing heâll need to return to the Decepticons for energon soon. That thought filling him with anxious energy, because he wants to stay with you where he feels welcome. Maybe not exactly wanted, but tolerated. Aware that he annoys you, but itâs so hard not to constantly reach for you hoping to feel those gentle hands on him. Wanting to be near you, to sit at your feet if thatâs all youâll allow him. Just let him stay. Belong somewhere for the first time ever.

10:45pm with bang chan - a @cosmicalily timestamp
authorâs note: okay hello so where was mr christopher bahng when i was stressing and studying like crazy for my exams? also first channie fic (everyone claps) highkey embarassing that it took me so long apologies to my bahngers
warnings: discussions of anxiety and stress to do with university/school
âDo you want a pudding? Minho dropped them off for us.â
You didnât reply, body sprawled across the couch. Chris shrugged, assuming you were asleep, picking the small plastic cup up and rifling around in the drawer for a spoon.
âIâm so overwhelmed,â you said suddenly, your voice cracking. He stopped in his tracks, letting the spoon and unopened pudding clatter to the counter. He approached you, gently, resting his hand on your cheek, moving his thumb to wipe under your eye when a tear spilled over.
âCome here,â he said, putting his arms around you as you crawled onto his lap, wrapping your legs tight around his waist. He rubbed circles into your lower back, letting you shove your face into the crook of his neck and dampen his sweatshirt with your tears. âIâm sorry, sweet girl. You always have too much on your mind.â
You sobbed at his kindness, holding him tighter. âItâs just all this shit with my assignments, and then work, too. I keep covering for people but when Iâm the one whoâs sick, nobody covers for me. And then thereâs that girl who just pulls apart every fucking thing I do.â
âThat friend of a friend?â Chris raised an eyebrow. âWhat a bitch.â
âI know, I hate her. I hope her lash tech absolutely botches her next set, eyes swollen, no space between,â you huffed, and Chris laughed.
âThatâs my girl, let it out.â he smiled, giving you a kiss on the cheek. âIs there anything else youâre still stressing about?â
You sighed. âThat assignment. Itâs making me nervous, even though I know I can do it. I just donât want to.â
âYouâre the smartest person I know,â Chris said honestly. âI donât think thereâs anything youâve done to your âworst abilityâ that anyone else could do to their best. Itâs not everything, baby, I promise you.â
âItâs a sixth of my outcome-â
âOut of the other five parts that youâve already smashed out. Iâm always proud of you, you know that, and itâd make me proud to see you let yourself go a little. Iâm here, you know, you can always tell me this stuff. I have the space in my mind for it if it starts to overflow from yours.â
You gave Chris a kiss on his nose, then his cheek, then his lips. âThanks, baby.â
âItâs what Iâm here for.â He hoisted you up, carrying you into the kitchen and setting you down on the counter. He stood between your legs, taking time to properly wipe your tears and press gentle kisses onto your lips. Chris tore off the foil lid of his pudding and dug his spoon in, pressing the cool metal against your mouth. You opened, smiling, letting the cool custard melt onto your tongue. It was comforting, not just the food, but sharing it with him.
He slung one arm around your waist, the other holding his spoon, taking a mouthful for himself then offering one to you. It felt good to have something substantial in your stomach; whilst Chris always made sure you ate properly when studying, you never gave yourself the time to actually enjoy the food, or to have something as a treat. Your stomach would cramp after the third coffee and the second energy drink, but now, it felt calm.Â
âYouâre too good to me,â you looked up at him, eyes shining.
âNobodyâs good enough to you, sweet girl,â Chris replied. âI wish I could stop everything and give you a moment to breathe. Itâll be over though, someday. Iâll make sure of it.â
âAnd we can live in a pretty house by the beach with a dog and make out all day?â you asked, giggling.
He smiled. âThatâs the dream, baby.â He pressed a kiss to your forehead. âThatâs the dream,â he repeated, pulling you in close.

Super easy and cheap devotional acts for beginners.
A nice cup and some clean, fresh, water on the altar can often be all you need for daily offerings
Grow a plant on your altar, use your weekly watering as a devotional act. Hermes is currently helping my peace lily grow :)
Draw their sigil on your nails and then paint over them with nail polish that matches their color correspondences.
If you canât acquire alcohol for your deities (wine, vodka etc) because youâre too young, white vinegar also works. The quality weâre looking for is the purification aspect. White vinegar is natural, antibacterial and never goes bad. You can leave it on your altar until it evaporates if you want.
If you work with a deity involved with self love like Aphrodite, investing a little more time into your skin care and scent can be very rewarding. Nothing super boujie, it can be as simple as getting some nice smelling lotion at the dollar store.
Food and water offerings donât have to be external, especially if youâre in the broom closet and donât have an altar. Reserve the first bite of your meal for your deity. Savour its taste while you think about them. Pour yourself a crisp glass of cold water and guzzle it as a devotional act.
Use a washable or dry erase marker to draw sigils on your shower wall for bath rituals. Itâll come right off when youâre done.
Tea bags are just bags of dried herbs. You can use these as offerings or draw sigils on them and burn them for witchcraft. No one is ever suspicious about a little tea. Adding a tea bag to your water offerings also gives them an extra kick.
A couple dollars at the thrift store will take you a long way. I love thrifting items because theyâre usually well loved. I especially like thrifting spirituality books that past practitioners have written in. Sometimes my deities communicate with me through the books that are available on any given day. If I was just talking to Leviathan about the power of water and I see a book about Hydromancy, I know that heâs sending me a sign. Like, 90% of the books Lucifer has sent me popped up at the thrift store. Most expensive one was $7.99. (and I tag swapped it for 2.99 đ thanks, Hermes-
and on this note, literally steal. Not from small local thrift stores, but I mean this with my whole chest, steal from Value Village. If you can sneakily swap a tag and get something for cheaper literally do it. Value Village gets all their inventory for free I literally do not care. Corporate thrift stores donât deserve rights. I steal from Value Village as a devotional act to Hermes đ lmao )
If you donât have money to spend on really nice paintings and posters of your deities for your altar, start buying books about them. Itâs a double win. A book about Greek religion will certainly have multiple beautiful sculptures and paintings of Aphrodite that I can cut out and put on my wall. A book about angels might have a cool painting of Lucifer. Books about Goddesses, ancient religions, anthropology, astrology etc. You get the opportunity to learn, and if itâs a book you donât particularly care too much for, you can take it apart for imagery. People ask me all the time where I got all of my paintings and pictures from. BOOKS.
Does your deity have a kind of complicated sigil that you love but you also kinda hate redrawing every other day? Sorry Cerberus (Naberius) I love you but that sigil is so complicated babe.
Learn how to block print! Itâs very simple. You get a block of linoleum (usually pretty cheap, I think mine were like $5) , some ink (~$10), and a carving tool (varies depending), and make a sigil stamp! All you gotta do is draw your sigil and carve it out nicely one time. You can still bless it and imbue it with your energy, and you can easily put it on prayers, talismans etc.
Chalk is your best friend. Use it to draw sigils on the floor or wall that can easily be wiped away. You can imbue special chalk and use it for casting circles if you donât like the mess of salt.

The Leo-Aquarius Axis Redefined pt. 2 âĄÂ đ§Șâ.àłàż*:
Part One on the Leo-Aquarius Axis (Good to Read for Reference)
I was watching some intense video footage with my friend after something really brutal and chaotic happened in my neighborhood. Watching it alone was overwhelming because there was so much violence and chaos happening back to back. But then I re-watched it with my Aquarius stellium friend. And when I say stellium, I mean stellium. This girl is an Aquarius Sun, Mercury, Mars, Venus, Rising, with a Capricorn Moon and Uranus in the 10th house. She is genuinely the smartest person I know.
What I didnât fully realize until that moment was just how good Aquarius energy is at processing information. Aquarius is an air sign, which means it thrives on mental challenges and intellectual stimulation. But itïżœïżœïżœs also fixed, which gives it a steady and sustained focus that doesnât waver. Symbolically, Aquarius is the Water Bearer. It pours out knowledge, deep and distilled, offering it to the world. In moments of chaos, it feels like Aquarius processes everything at light speed, distills the important parts, and hands you the answers in such a breezy and nonchalant manner all like, âOh, you didnât notice that incredibly specific detail?â
While we were watching the footage, she kept pausing to point things out. She would say, âLook here, see his hand? Notice how he flinched.â Then she would rewind and say, âListen again, did you hear what he said? He said âxyz.ââ By the end of the night, mostly thanks to her, we had pieced together the timeline of what happened.
It was a heavy experience, but it also got me thinking about something I had written before about the Leo-Aquarius axis.
In that post, I said:
âIf you are struggling to shine and develop your self-expression (Leo), look at the opposite of that (Aquarius), where you might need to release and let go of pressure. Especially internal pressure, since air sign energy is so connected to our thoughts and intellect. This sets the stage for success that feels aligned with your most genuine self.â
At the time, I was so focused on this idea of detachment leading to success that I wrote:
âThe 11th house (Aquarius) rules your profits from your career, while the 5th house (Leo) rules your creativity and hobbies. Think about how many people have created art (5th house) without worrying about success or money, only to find widespread acclaim and rewards (11th house). In interviews, they always say, âI never imagined this would happen. I never imagined I would reach so many people.â Why? Because they had detached. And that mindset can take you far.â
While thatâs absolutely true, I realized I hadnât fully considered the depth of this axis.
Aquarius isnât just about letting go and hoping for the best. You donât magically detach and suddenly see success show up in your Leo house.
Yes, you need to release expectations in your Aquarius house. But Aquarius isnât about not caring. Itâs about caring deeply for the process itself. Itâs about learning for the sake of learning. Aquarius is the mad scientist energy, the inventor, the one who experiments and explores because itâs fascinating and because it feeds them.
Wherever Aquarius is in your chart, thatâs where you need to step into that energy. Itâs where you become the mad scientist, endlessly curious and driven to learn and discover. You absorb information, try new things, and gather knowledge for the sake of it. That process becomes the fuel that allows your Leo house to shine.
Aquarius prepares and strategizes, and Leo performs and shines. Success aligns when both energies are flowing together.
Aquarius builds the blueprint. It is the blueprint. Then Leo distributes it to the world. Thatâs where success or even monetization comes in. But itâs always at your pace, and always through doing what you love.
How I Applied This in My Own Life
This realization hit me on such a personal level because I have struggled with 6th house themes my entire life. My weight, my routines, building habits, staying consistent. etc. No matter how hard I tried to force structure into my day-to-day life, it just never clicked. I would start strong, burn out, and then spiral into frustration.
But when I stopped trying to force myself into systems that didnât fit me and leaned into my Aquarius 12th house energy, everything shifted. I stopped seeing my habits as rigid checklists and started treating them like little experiments. I became curious, open to trial and error, and focused on the process instead of the outcome.
Suddenly, my 6th house started to thrive. My health (gut health, mental health, lost 15 pounds) improved, my daily routines felt sustainable (set boundaries at work), and consistency became something I didnât have to force anymore. It became second nature to be this new version of me.
The Leo-Aquarius Axis Guide
If youâve ever felt torn between wanting to shine like Leo and strategize like Aquarius, my guide will show you how to:
Identify your Aquarius Lab and your Leo Stage in your chart
Create a sustainable cycle of preparation (aqua) and performance (leo)
Use both energies to create confidence, clarity, and success
get the guide here: âš [Mastering the Leo-Aquarius Axis] âĄÂ đ§Șâ.àłàż*:

Chapter 19 - 'Dadâ | âMovie Night'
word count - 10.3 k
It was just past 6 a.m. when Jack heard the soft creak of the side door opening. He sighed, his shoulders slumping as he rubbed the back of his neck. He had been up for a while now, nursing his coffee in the kitchen and mentally preparing for the day. The text Trent had sent somehow even earlier had left him rolling his eyes, and now here he was, sneaking in like some lovesick teenager. Jack set his mug down with a dull thud and turned as Trent stepped inside, looking more awake than he had any right to at that hour. A tired but knowing grin stretched across Trentâs face as he quietly shut the door behind him. A bag was slung over his shoulder, which caught Jackâs attention for a moment before he decided to brush it off.
âBro, itâs just unnecessary for you to be here this early,â Jack muttered, crossing his arms and giving Trent a look that bordered on disapproval.
âJacky lad, come on, donât be like that,â Trent replied, punching Jackâs arm lightly as he passed. The playful gesture did little to mask the nervous energy buzzing under his skin.
âNah, serious,â Jack pressed, shaking his head. âItâs mad early, and youâre creeping around my house like a burglar. Bit much, isnât it?â Trent raised his hands in mock surrender, the grin never leaving his face.Â
âAlright, alright, Iâll be quick. Thanks for letting me come over, yeah? I just⊠I gotta talk to her real quick. Wonât take long.â Jack stared at him for a beat, trying to figure out whether he was annoyed or just resigned.Â
âYeah, alright, mate,â he said, finally giving Trent a shove in the shoulder. âDo what youâve gotta do.â As Trent moved toward the stairs, Jack stayed rooted in the kitchen, leaning against the counter with his arms folded. He watched Trent ascend the staircase, his steps careful and deliberate, and shook his head with a rueful chuckle. This was his new normal, wasnât it? Trent sneaking into his house not to see him, his best mate, but to see you, his younger sister. It was a bitter pill to swallow, but Jack was trying. For you. For Trent. He was glad Trent was putting in effort and glad he was coming to talk to you. Upstairs, Trent moved with purpose, his feet soft against the carpet as he made his way to your room. The house was quiet, the only sounds the faint ticking of a clock and the distant hum of the world outside. The early morning light filtered through the windows, casting warm streaks of gold on the walls. He reached your door and paused, his hand hovering over the doorknob. A nervous breath escaped his lips, and he ran a hand over his hair, hesitating for just a moment. He hated how much heâd missed you, even though it had only been a couple of days. Finally, he twisted the knob and pushed the door open slowly, the faint creak of the hinges breaking the silence.
The room was dim, the curtains drawn but not fully closed, letting in just enough light to bathe the space in a soft glow. You were curled up in the center of the bed, buried under a blanket, your hair fanned out against the pillow. Trentâs lips tugged into a smile at the sight of you. He stepped inside, shutting the door quietly behind him and setting the bag down on the floor. For a moment, he just stood there, soaking you inâthe peaceful rise and fall of your chest, the way your lashes rested against your cheeks.
âMorning, pretty girl,â he whispered, his voice low and soft as he approached the bed. You stirred at the sound, your face scrunching up briefly before your eyes fluttered half open with a squint.
âT? Baby?â you murmured, your voice soft and laced with sleep as you felt the bed dip slightly. It took you a second to register the figure standing at your bedside, but when you saw Trent, a sleepy smile broke across your face.
âMmmm, course itâs me, baby,â Trent whispered back, his voice warm and comforting as his lips brushed against the bare skin of your shoulder. His scent wrapped around you, a mix of his cologne and the faintest trace of fresh air from outside.
âWhat are you doing here?â you asked groggily, your brows furrowing as you tried to fully wake up. âThought you were leaving. I was planning to already be missing you.â Your voice held a pout as you blinked up at him, your eyes adjusting to the dim light in the room.
âCâmere, pretty girl,â Trent murmured, his hands gently pulling you into him, wrapping you in his warmth. You didnât resist, letting your body mold against his as he held you close.
âHiâŠâ you giggled softly, nuzzling into his chest, feeling his heartbeat beneath your cheek.
âLook so good like this,â he said with a smirk, his fingers playing with the thin strap of your pajama top. His eyes traced over you with a softness that made your cheeks warm.
âI look⊠tired probably,â you laughed, a little embarrassed as you nestled your face into the crook of his neck to hide.
âNot to me,â he whispered, his voice low and sincere, making your heart skip. You pulled back slightly, your curiosity piqued.Â
âNo, seriously, baby. What are you doing here?â you asked, your arms instinctively wrapping around his waist to hold him closer. Trent let out a quiet sigh, his hand coming up to cup your cheek, his thumb brushing over your skin in slow, soothing strokes.Â
âI couldnât go⊠not yet,â he murmured. Your brows knit together as you searched his face, trying to piece together what he wasnât saying.Â
âWhy? You okay, baby?â you asked, your voice soft and filled with wonder. He hesitated for a moment, his dark eyes flickering with something vulnerable, something real. His hand slipped to the back of your neck, holding you gently as he gathered his thoughts.Â
âWhen I go, baby, I want to leave knowing youâre mine. I want to leave with you as my girlfriend.â Your breath hitched at his words, your heart racing in your chest as you stared up at him. âYouâve been my dream girl my entire life, you know that? And⊠if youâd let me, Iâd want you to be my girl for the rest of it. SoâŠâ He trailed off, his voice soft and filled with nerves as he studied your reaction. Your eyes filled with tears, the weight of his words settling over you like a warm blanket.Â
âOkay,â you sniffled, your voice trembling as you gave him a small nod.
âYeah?â he asked, his lips curving into a hopeful smile, though you could see the tension in his shoulders as he waited for more.
âAre you sure?â you whispered, a shy smile breaking through the tears streaming down your cheeks.
âGonna be my girlfriend now, yeah?â he murmured, his forehead coming to rest against yours. âFor every season. Gonna take care of you forever, pretty girl.â
âTâŠâ you whimpered, unable to find the words as emotion choked you. Your hands clung to him tightly, your face burying in his chest as you nodded against him. He chuckled softly, the sound rumbling through his chest as he pressed a kiss to your hair.Â
âNone of that, baby. Donât cry.â He smiled sympathetically.
âIâm sorry,â you whispered, your voice muffled as your tears soaked into his shirt. âI didnât think⊠I didnât think anyone would ever love me like this.â You let out a sentiment far heavier than anything you were expecting this morning. His hands on you felt gentle something you never knew you didn't have.
âShhh, baby,â he murmured, his arms wrapping securely around you, holding you as if he could shield you from all the pain youâd ever felt. âIâll never let anything hurt you again. I promise.â You pulled back just enough to look at him, your tear-streaked face glowing as a smile spread across your lips.Â
âI love you,â you whispered, the words tumbling out naturally, as if theyâd always been there, waiting for this moment. Trentâs eyes softened, his gaze locking with yours as he leaned in, brushing his lips against yours in a kiss so tender it made your heart ache.Â
âI love you too,â he whispered against your lips, his voice steady and sure. The two of you stayed there, wrapped in each other, the world outside fading away as the weight of his words and the promise in his eyes made you feel more whole than youâd ever thought possible. âIâm gonna ask and properly take you out, swear,â Trent whispered, his thumb grazing over your cheek in the soft glow of morning. His voice was gentle, but there was an earnestness behind it that made your heart skip a beat. âI just didnât want to take to the pitch ever again without you being my girlfriend, that alright, pretty girl?â His lips pressed to yours in a kiss so soft, so unhurried, that it felt like time stood still. You melted into him, your sleepy haze mixing with the overwhelming feeling of love that settled deep in your chest. Everything about this moment felt surreal, like a dream you never wanted to wake up from.
âYou didnât have to do all this, baby,â you whimpered, your voice trembling with emotion as tears threatened to spill over again. âJust you hereâŠ. this is perfect.â You confessed.
âNah, Y/N⊠baby,â he murmured with a smirk that sent a flutter through your stomach. It was mischievous, cheeky and ever endearing. âYou think Iâm waking you up like this just with words?â His dimples deepened as his playful grin grew. You giggled, brushing your hand across his chest as he shifted beside you. Your brows furrowed when he leaned off the bed, reaching for something on the floor. When he straightened up, your eyes widened. In his hands was the most beautiful bouquet of fresh peonies, their soft pink and white petals still glistening with dew.
âFor the most gorgeous girl in the whole world,â he said softly, holding them out to you. Your heart clenched as you took the bouquet from him, the delicate fragrance filling the air around you.
âBabyâŠâ you whimpered, your voice shaky as you buried your nose into the flowers.
âYou like âem?â he asked, his voice low, almost shy, as he watched you with a boyish smile.
âI love them,â you whispered, your voice breaking as tears welled in your eyes. "I love you." You pouted, emotion getting the best of you. You were having a hard time shaking your tiredness because this entire thing felt like a dream. Longtime crush, brother's best friend just asked you to be his girlfriend, waking you up with peonies in your bedroom? In what world? Evidently, your world.
âNot done yet,â he teased, leaning over the side of the bed again. You tilted your head, blinking through your tears as you watched him grab two boxesâone large and one small. He placed them carefully in your lap, his smile softening as he looked at you.
âTâŠâ you started, your voice trembling as you stared down at the boxes, overwhelmed. Trentâs phone buzzed with a message. The notification irrelevant, but the time illuminated, not so much. He caught the time and sighed.Â
âI gotta run, pretty girl,â he said, his tone tinged with regret. âBut you open these, yeah?â Your fingers brushed over the ribbons on the boxes as he leaned down to press a lingering kiss to your forehead. His lips stayed there for a moment, warm and reassuring, before he pulled back just enough to meet your gaze. âAnd youâll call your boyfriend tonight, yeah?â he asked, his eyes twinkling with mischief. A smile broke across your face as you nodded.Â
âYeah,â you whispered, your voice barely audible as you clutched the boxes close.
âAlright,â he murmured, leaning down to kiss you again, slower this time, as if he couldnât bear to leave. âGood girl. Love you so much, baby.â
âLove you, T,â you whispered, your arms wrapping around his neck to pull him in for one last kiss. âCanât wait to watch my boyfriend tomorrow.â He chuckled, his laugh rumbling softly against your chest.Â
âLet me know how he does.â he said cheekily, brushing his nose against yours before finally pulling away. As the door clicked shut behind him, you let out a shaky breath, the weight of the moment settling over you. You looked down at the boxes in your lap, your hands trembling as you untied the ribbon on the larger one. Inside was a gorgeous Chanel bag in the gorgeous turquoise tweed, the bag so perfect you wanted to scream but you were too tired, almost delirious at your unexpected morning. You needed to call Layla now but you still had one more box to open. And then amid your eagerness to gush to your best friend, your breath hitched opening the smaller box, revealing a delicate pair of earrings, just like the necklace you wore only slightly different. Nestled there were two butterflies, one gold, the other turquoise. It was perfect. It was you. It was you and Trent, finally evolving. Tears streamed down your face as you clutched the box to your chest. You didnât even realize you were smiling until your cheeks started to ache, your heart swelling with a love so overwhelming it left you breathless.
âWhat are you doing before the final game?â Jack, out of the blue, asked. Games had come and went and now it was the end of Trentâs season. You paused, caught off guard by the question.Â
âWhy? Whatâs going on?â you asked, narrowing your eyes at him. Jack hesitated, his jaw tightening slightly as if he was debating whether to tell you.
âDadâs coming,â he said carefully. You froze, feeling your heart drop into your stomach. It felt like the air had been sucked out of the room. You hadnât seen your dad in about a year, and though youâd always had a good relationship with him, it had become more distant as time went on. He didnât really know you as an adultâdidnât know about the life youâd built for yourself, and definitely nothing about Trent. And now, the thought of that relationship, so new so fresh coming to light, made your chest tighten.
âDadâs⊠coming?â you repeated, almost as if you didnât believe him.
âYeah,â Jack replied, scratching the back of his neck. âHe, uh, wanted to come to the match and catch up, I guess.â He muttered. You nodded slowly, but your mind was racing.Â
âOkay, so⊠whatâs the plan?â you asked hesitantly, not wanting to sound as anxious as you felt. Jack took a breath, his eyes flicking to yours.Â
âWeâre supposed to grab lunch at that pub he likes⊠then, you know, I guess head to the match with him.â Jack explained cautiously and hesitantly. He knew you didnât want these plans but nevertheless, they were your plans.
âOh,â you whispered, your voice barely audible. The weight of it all started to sink in. The pub he likedâthe place you hadnât been to in years. Your dad showing up, expecting to see the same version of you heâd always known. And Trentâhow would he feel about all of this? How would your dad react, to realizing the relationship between you two? Jack watched you carefully, sensing your nerves.Â
âYou alright?â he asked, his voice softer now. You forced a smile, though it didnât quite reach your eyes.Â
âYeah. Just⊠a lot to process, I guess.â You told him not wanting to even start because you knew it was all fairly fresh for Jack. An adjustment for everyone, including yourself.
âItâs gonna be fine,â Jack reassured you. âDadâs not that scary, you know.â You laughed weakly, shaking your head.Â
âItâs not that. Itâs just⊠he doesnât really know me anymore, Jack. I donât even know if heâs going to like me.â You explained poorly. Jack frowned, stepping closer.Â
âHey, what are you on about. Of course, heâs going to like you. He loves you. Youâre his daughter. He knows you.â He smiled sympathetically.
âYeah, but Trentâs myââ You paused. You didnât know if Jack knew, if Trent had told him. You didnât want to hurt him anyone.Â
âYeah, your boyfriend. My best friend, I know,â Jack interrupted firmly. âTâs a good guy, and Dadâs not stupid. He knows that.â You swallowed hard, nodding as you tried to convince yourself Jack was right. But deep down, you couldnât shake the knot of anxiety forming in your stomach. This wasnât just about your dad knowing Trent was your boyfriendâit was about him seeing the person youâd become and hoping heâd still be proud of you.
Seeing your dad was harder than youâd anticipated. There was a heaviness in the air, a kind of tension that came from too much time apart and too many things left unsaid. You sat awkwardly on the edge of your chair, your hands clasped in your lap as Jack and your dad caught up. Their voices filled the room, casual and animated as they sipped on beers, talking about work, sports, and everything else except the topics that mattered. You knew it was only a matter of time before Trent came upâhis name felt like it was hovering in the air, unspoken but impossible to ignore. The clock was ticking; youâd have to get to the stadium soon, and once you left, thereâd be no escaping the inevitable conversation. Jack leaned back in his seat, laughing at something your dad said. They were so at ease with each other, the kind of natural connection that came from years of shared history. You sat silently, feeling like a child again, a bystander in their world. You hadnât expected to feel this small, this invisible, but here you were, the same as always.
It hit you, sitting there, how little had changed. Even now, as an adult, you were still on the outside looking in, waiting for a chance to be part of their conversation. But when you finally did speak, your words felt hollow, like they didnât quite fit in their world. Maybe this was why you sought attention elsewhere, why you craved the kind of validation that left you breathless and seen. It wasnât just about romance or excitementâit was about feeling like you mattered, like you were more than just someone to be looked over or around. Your dad didnât mean it, you told yourself. He didnât notice the way his conversations with Jack seemed to box you out, like you were still twelve and incapable of understanding the weight of their conversations. But that didnât make it sting any less. They avoided mentioning your mum, which wasnât a surprise. Her absence was like a shadow in the room, unspoken but lingering in every quiet moment. You glanced at your dad, wondering if he even noticed how uncomfortable you were, how small you felt sitting there. The stadium was calling, and part of you was glad. At least there, youâd see Trent, someone who made you feel like you belonged, like your voice mattered. But that didnât erase the ache of sitting in at the pub, waiting for the conversation to shift, for someone to notice you were there.
âJack we need to get going⊠â You said. The atmosphere in the room was thick with an uneasy silence, a weight that neither of you could shake off. âI told Di Iâd meet her outside before soâŠâ you awkwardly interjected.Â
âHow is Di? Canât wait to see her and Mike at the match.â Your dad sat at the table, his hand still wrapped around his half-finished beer, the glass catching the dim light as it rested on the surface. He was relaxed, too relaxed, as though everything was fine. His words, casual and unbothered, contrasted sharply with the tension in your chest. His assumption that things were as they always had been â that you could talk about Dianne and Mike like nothing had changed â stung in ways you couldnât put into words. Your fatherâs gaze drifted from you to Jack, lingering for a moment before it returned to you with that familiar, unspoken question. Why wasnât Jack the one making decisions? His eyes didnât need to ask it, but the look was unmistakable. You could feel the knot tighten in your stomach. You didnât want to answer him, didnât want to acknowledge that the dynamics between you all had shifted. That he had shifted.
âJust Di is going,â you muttered, your voice sharp as you tried to hold it together. The words fell like ice into the room. Jack noticed the change in your tone immediately. He could see it, the way you were pulling away, the way your nerves frayed at the edges. You stood up abruptly, the motion too fast, too sharp, betraying the calm exterior you tried to maintain. The chair scraped against the floor, the sound jarring in the silence that followed. âI told her Iâd meet herâŠâ you trailed off, your words faltering for just a second, but the pressure to leave was too strong. "I have to go, you can meet me there if you want to stay here longer, but I promised." You snapped. Your dadâs gaze flicked from you to Jack, waiting for a response, expecting one. But there was no response. Jack could sense the brewing storm, the way your jaw tightened and your eyes clouded. The air between you all was electric, like the calm before a storm, but Jack was the first to break the silence, his voice low and calm, a stark contrast to the storm inside you.
âY/N, Y/N, jesus, hold on,â he said, his hand reaching out to gently grab your arm, but you flinched as if the touch burned. Jack immediately regretted it. It all came crashing back to hm. His fingers loosened, and he let his hand fall to his side, his voice softening as he realized what he had done. He could see it now â what Trent had told him, what youâd been through. Everything, the secrets, the pain. The moment hung there, suspended between the three of you. Jack straightened up, his gaze not meeting your dadâs but aimed directly at you. âIâm with ya,â he said gently, his words grounded, offering you the support that was starting to feel like a lifeline. He nodded, as if trying to anchor you in this moment. âItâs fine. Letâs go, yeah?â Your dadâs eyes flicked back to Jack, but Jack didnât move. He was standing firm, waiting for you. There was a subtle shift in the air, as though Jack had pulled the rug out from under your fatherâs expectations, leaving the tension behind you like dust settling after a storm. âYou never want to keep Dianne waiting,â Jack said, his voice a little more light-hearted, as if trying to smooth over the heaviness. But his words couldnât erase what had passed between you all in that moment. And you didnât want them to. You were already halfway out the door, trying to escape the weight of it all, but you couldnât quite shake the feeling that things would never be the same.
The atmosphere in the stands felt charged, the sound of the game filling the air, but it was easy for you to tune it out as you focused solely on the field, your mind a whirl of thoughts. Jack had fallen into easy conversation with Noah and Trentâs brothers, but you couldnât shake the feeling of being apart from everything. Maybe it was the weight of your fatherâs distant gaze, or the unspoken tension between you and him, but there was a disconnect you couldnât ignore.
Dianneâs voice cut through the murmur of the crowd, and your dad turned as she approached, her expression warm and teasing. But as her gaze landed on you, wearing Trentâs jacketâsomething you had nicked without thinkingâhe saw the softness in her eyes, the way she always looked at you as if you were her own daughter. You instinctively tried to listen in, and for a moment, you almost wished she didnât see the truth so clearly.
âFinally, hmm?â Dianne cooed with a smile, nodding to you in Trentâs clothes, the way you were leaning forward, lost in the game. Her voice was light, but you could tell there was an undercurrent of something more, a knowingness that settled between you. Your fatherâs voice came almost too quickly, a hint of forced joviality in his words.
âAh, sheâll always hold a torch for him. Iâm sure he has more lasses than he can handle though. Him and Jacky boy.â He chuckled, clearly trying to mask somethingâmaybe his own discomfort or the way the whole situation made him uneasy. But you heard the words, and they stung a little more than they should have. You looked down, feeling that familiar ache in your chest. Heâs fine because Jack is fine. Jackâs fine because Trent is fine. And everything will be fine because they all just fit together in this neat little package. But you? You were the complication, the one who didnât fit. And yet, your father was never looking too closely at the things that didnât add up, wasnât he?
âWell⊠weâve known heâs only wanted one, and Trentyâs got her now,â Dianne added softly, a playful tone in her voice but something deeper behind it. There was no judgment, only an understanding, and a subtle acknowledgment of everything that had been left unsaid. But the words landed like a heavy weight in your chest. Your father, though he was trying to make light of things, didnât see itâdidnât see you. He couldnât see past the loss of your mother, the way you reminded him so much of her, both in looks and in the way you held onto things, quietly, intensely. It had always been easier for him to connect with Jack, the son who didnât wear his motherâs ghost in every glance, in every gesture. Jack, who had managed to fill the space sheâd left in a way that you hadnât. But your father couldnât escape the grief that came with you. And it hurt. You felt it in the way his words came too quickly, like he was trying to convince himself, to ease his own pain without even realizing he was pushing you away. You wanted to reach for something, anything, to make it easier, but instead, you just sat there, a quiet reminder of everything lost. Dianneâs gaze softened, and she didnât need to say anything more. She saw it. She always did. She didnât need to push. All she did was offer a quiet reassurance, a recognition that the divide was there. You were both standing in it, but only one of you seemed to have the strength to acknowledge it.
Your dad watched, almost frozen, as Dianne moved behind you, her hand finding your arm with that familiar warmth, a comfort he hadnât felt in a long time. It stung a little to watchâhow easily she could reach out to you, how easily she could offer you something he didnât know how to give anymore. You turned towards her, smiling up at her with an expression that was softer, more open, than the one you had given him in ages. Dianne cupped your cheek gently, the kind of tender touch that felt like home, like someone who understood you without words. She tilted your head just slightly, guiding your face back toward your dad, as if to make sure he saw youâreally saw you.
âSo, so, so gorgeous, huh?â Her voice was light, teasing even, but with a layer of affection that felt bittersweet. She wanted him to see you the way she saw you, but it was all so much more complicated than that. Your dadâs eyes followed you, but there was an unreadable expression on his face. He was lost in it, in everything unsaid between you, between the past, the present, and the future.
âSheâs beautiful, always has been,â your dad muttered, his voice tight. The words were there, but they didnât reach you in the way they used to. The sadness in his smile only made the gap between you feel wider, more unbridgeable. He had always been so proud of you, but now there was something missing, something he couldnât find his way back to. Dianne, as if sensing the weight in the air, pressed a kiss to your hair, her lips warm against your skin, and pulled back just enough to let you turn back toward the game.Â
âAnd finally Trentyâs got his head on straight, hmm?â she asked with a knowing smile, the kind of smile that said she wasnât oblivious to the tension you had been carrying. She wasnât stupid. She knew. You felt a flutter of discomfort at her words, a sharp reminder of how much you had been hiding. A part of you felt like youâd never tell your dad about Trent. And then you realized that wasn't really an option. But you didnât think you could ever tell him about Trent, not like that. You werenât sure if he could handle it, and you werenât ready to deal with his disappointment or confusion. So, you let her words slide by, nodding as you turned back to the game, trying to lose yourself in the sound of the crowd, in the rhythm of the match. Your dad remained still, his mind racing, trying to piece together what Dianne was getting at. The look on his face betrayed a quiet frustration, as if he had just missed something important, something he wasnât privy to. He felt like he was in the dark, and it hurt more than heâd like to admit. What was Dianne talking about? What was happening between you and Trent? The questions hung there, unanswered. He looked at you one more time, but you were lost in the game, your eyes focused, your body language closed off. And in that moment, your dad knew that things were changing, and he couldnât stop it. The weight of the unknown pressed down on him, and he wasnât sure how to navigate this new space between you, between all of you. Dianne, sensing the shift, took a seat next to Tyler, her presence no longer a bridge but a reminder of the complexities of what had been left unsaid. The game continued, the noise of the crowd growing louder, but for you, the world felt smaller, and the distance between you and your dad felt wider than ever.
You stepped inside, the cool air of the box a stark contrast to the heat of the stadium outside. Your gaze immediately landed on your dad, standing alone, watching the game through the glass with his usual intense focus. But there was something different about the way he stood, a slight distance between him and the rest of the crowd, like he wasnât really part of it all.
âKeeping warm?â you asked, forcing a smile that didnât quite reach your eyes. It was a weak attempt, but it was all you could manage. He hummed, squinting at the field, trying to follow the play. His focus was still on the game, but you could tell he wasnât fully present. It was as if part of him was always somewhere else. âYou know⊠you can see a lot better out there,â you suggested, motioning toward the seats where the rest of the group was. The words were casual, but there was a plea in them that you couldnât hide. A hope that he might want to come closer, to bridge the gap that had grown between you both. He glanced at you, his excuse falling flat.Â
âYeah, donât want to crowd the space and all.â It wasnât a good reason, but you knew it wasnât really about the space. It was about something else, something neither of you were talking about. A sigh escaped you as you stood there, unsure of how to push forward. It felt like you were both stuck, circling each other but not quite connecting.
âDo⊠do you want to come sit with me?â The words came out hesitantly, like you were testing the waters, unsure if he would say yes or if you would even know how to handle it if he did. For a moment, there was silence between you, and then your dad finally turned, his eyes meeting yours. It was like a weight lifted in that brief second, his gaze softening, as if he had been waiting for you to ask. He reached up, his hand gently cupping your face, and for the first time in what felt like ages, you saw a genuine smile spread across his face.
âIâll come sit with you, sweetheart,â he said, his voice warm, sincere in a way that it hadnât been for so long. The affection in his tone caught you off guard, and you felt a lump form in your throat. You tried to smile, to match his warmth, but it was hard to push back the tears that threatened to spill. âGorgeous you are, huh?â he added, his smile growing. There was a hint of that old fondness in his voice, something familiar, something you hadnât heard in a long time. You grinned, a shaky laugh escaping you as you fought to keep the tears at bay. In that moment, everything felt a little bit easier, a little bit lighter, even if just for a second. It was a small step, but it was a step forward. The gameâs final minutes ticked down, but they felt like hours as you sat there with your dad, the tension between you both growing thicker with every passing second. The crowdâs roar seemed distant now, just background noise to the awkward silence you were both trapped in. To your surprise, your dad, who had always been so engrossed in the game, turned to you, his expression more serious than you were used to.
âSweetheart, Dianne said something earlier⊠Does she know something Jack and I donât?â he asked, his voice low but carrying a weight that made your stomach churn. The question felt wrong in so many waysâalmost like an accusation. The assumption that he and Jack were always on the same page, always in sync, and you were the one left to navigate things alone. You couldnât stop the frustration rising within you. You fought back the urge to snap, to let him feel your annoyance, and instead gave him a steady answer.Â
âJack knowsâŠâ You didnât want to get into it, but it felt like he was trying to pry, trying to put you on the defensive as if there was something to hide. And for a brief moment, it felt like he was accusing you of betraying Jack, not simply sharing your own truth.
âAnd⊠should I know?â His voice was soft, but there was an underlying expectation in it, as though you owed him an explanation. It hit you harder than you expected, making your patience slip. You turned your gaze back to the game, unwilling to meet his eyes, unable to mask the irritation building inside.Â
âI donât know. Should you?â Your tone was sharp, your words colder than you intended, but you couldnât hold it in anymore. The unfairness of it allâthe way Jack and your dad always seemed to understand each other, always seemed to be in sync, leaving you as the outsider. It stung.
ïżœïżœïżœY/NâŠâ Your dadâs voice softened, but the use of your full name was a reminder of a time when you hadnât been this distant, when his voice was filled with care and not frustration. That small shift in his tone made something inside you crack, but it only made your anger burn brighter.
âWhat? Do you care enough to want to know?â You shot back before you could stop yourself, the words tumbling out sharper than you meant. You could feel your dad bristle, his frustration mounting, but so was yours. This wasnât just a conversationâit was an accusation, a judgment.
âHey.â His tone snapped, and the energy in the air shifted. You could feel Jackâs gaze on you from across the box, but you couldnât stop now. This had been building for too long. Jack stood up and walked over, his presence like a wall between you and your dad, as if once again it was two against one. That old dynamicâthe one that always left you feeling like you were fighting to be seen, fighting to be heard, while Jack and your dad stood side by side, united.
âOkay, yeah. Trentâs my boyfriend. Happy?â The words shot out like daggers, sharp and bitter. âThereâs my life update. You can go back to wherever you are in Spain at the minute and act like you know anything that goes on here.â Your voice wavered for a split second, but you couldnât bring yourself to care. You couldnât keep pretending like everything was fine when it felt like you were invisible to them. Without waiting for a response, you stood up and stormed past Jack, your heart racing with anger and hurt. He called your name, but you didnât stop. You couldnât. There was no going back now, not with this tension hanging between you all. You had to break free, even if it meant isolating yourself again. Once again, it was you against them, and you were done trying to fit into the space they had carved out for themselves. Jackâs eyes softened as he looked at his father, knowing the weight of the situation, knowing the rift between you and their understanding of what you were going through. He had seen it for years, the unspoken divide between you and your dad, the way he treated you so differently than him. But now, it was worse. Now, your dad had crossed a line, and Jack felt the tension, the hurt that youâd carried for so long.
âDadâŠâ Jack sighed, his voice heavy with frustration and compassion. He could feel the hurt building inside him, too, knowing that his father was looking at the situation with an incomplete understanding. Jack wasnât blind to the way his dad had always looked at you, how he seemed to hold back from truly seeing you, as if seeing you fully would mean confronting the loss of your mother all over again. But that wasnât your fault. And this wasnât easy for you.
âShe⊠sheâs dating Trent, and I have my own way to deal with it, butâŠâ Jackâs voice trailed off, the words hard to form. He knew the history, knew the tension between you and your dad, and how impossible it was for your father to see things from your perspective. âYou canât just show up and ask for this huge piece of information about herâŠâ He took a deep breath, the weight of what he was saying settling heavily in the space between them. âSo much has gone on, I canât even begin to describe it.â Jackâs eyes searched his fatherâs, trying to get through to him, but the words felt like they werenât enough, like they could never be enough. âSheâs had a really hard time, dad. This isnât some spur-of-the-moment, rash decision⊠Itâs been a lot, and itâs been really heavy for her, so please⊠Please talk to her.â His voice cracked slightly, a mix of frustration and helplessness. Jack didnât know how to make his father see the pain youâd been hiding, the burden youâd been carrying in silence. He wasnât sure if he could even explain it himself, but he tried anyway, hoping something would break through. Your dad looked at him, his face filled with a shock that Jack hadnât expected. Maybe it was the mention of your struggles, maybe it was the revelation of just how much you had been dealing with, but something in him seemed to shift, even if just slightly. He didnât know what surprised him moreâyour relationship with Trent or the fact that you had been struggling this much. But instead of addressing it, instead of asking questions or trying to understand, he simply turned away.
âIâll give her a minute,â your dad muttered, his voice distant. He didnât even look back at Jack as he focused once again on the game, his back turned to his son. Jackâs heart sank. He had hoped for more, had wanted his father to reach out, to show that he cared. But it was like he was retreating again, locking himself in the same place he had always beenâunable to break free of the grief, of the distance between him and his children. Jack stood there, watching his fatherâs back, feeling a wave of helplessness and sorrow wash over him. The conversation had gone nowhere, and the gap between them was only wider now. He had hoped his father would understand, that this moment would spark something in him to reach out to you, but it didnât happen. All Jack could do now was wait, just like you.
As the game ended and the crowd filtered out, you couldnât shake the heaviness that lingered in the air. Your eyes were red and puffy from the tears youâd tried to hide, and your lips were pressed into a thin pout, an attempt to mask the hurt and frustration you felt. You didnât even have to look up to know when Trent walked into the box. His presence was like a breath of fresh air, a sense of comfort in the storm you were fighting.
âCome here, pretty girl,â Trentâs voice was soft, concerned. His hands gently pulled you into him, and the warmth of his embrace felt like a balm to your soul. âWhatâs that face for, beautiful, hmm?â His words were a sweet coo, the kind that only he could make sound so tender. He kissed your forehead, repeatedly, his lips brushing your skin like a quiet reassurance. He tilted your chin up to meet his eyes, his gaze full of care. âLook at me⊠Whatâs going on, baby?â He asked earnestly. But just as you opened your mouth to respond, your dadâs voice cut through the moment, loud and blunt.
âTrenty.â Trent froze, his eyes widening for a moment as he turned to face your dad. The tension in the air shifted immediately. At the moment, his hands had been dangerously close to your ass, a comforting gesture that felt natural, but now it was like they were caught in the act. Trent cleared his throat, his smile faltering, and he quickly retracted his hand from a more intimate position.
âAh, alright, sir?â Trent stumbled over his words, extending a hand for a handshake. It was awkward, but you could see him trying to play it off as casual, even though the situation was anything but.
âCourse, had to at least catch one game this season,â your dad replied, his tone unnervingly normal, like nothing had shifted, like he hadnât just witnessed a small piece of your private world that he wasnât meant to see. His words, however, didnât seem to match the discomfort in the room. It was like he was pretending to be fine, pretending that everything was the same as it had been before. Trent, though, immediately pieced it all together. The tears in your eyes, the tension in the air, the way your dad had come over so bluntlyâit all clicked for him. His arm instinctively wrapped around your waist, pulling you closer to him protectively. You didnât fight it. Instead, you leaned into him, your arms winding around his bicep, letting the comfort of his embrace ground you. Trent looked down at you, his expression softening.
âOkay?âHe asked. He could feel the weight of everything you were carrying, and he just wanted to make sure you were alright. You nodded, leaning your face into his shoulder, finding solace in the warmth of him.Â
âYeah,â you murmured, the simple act of being close to him helping to ease the pressure in your chest. Trent, still standing with you wrapped around his arm, continued talking to your dad, but now his attention was solely on you. He couldnât help the smile that spread across his face as he felt the familiar presence of your perfume wrap around him after the long match. There was something deeply intimate about the way you held onto him, and he relished it. âStayed warm, huh?â Trent asked, pinching your side lightly, a playful spark in his eyes as he adjusted the jacket youâd borrowed from him. Your dad, however, was no longer paying attention to the conversation. His eyes had locked onto you, watching the way you interacted with Trent. It was clear he was taking it all inâmore than just the casual handshake, more than the friendly chat. The dynamic between you and Trent had shifted in the air, and your dad, whether he acknowledged it or not, could sense the change. Trent, on the other hand, was completely absorbed in you. The conversation with your dad was just noise in the background. He wasnât concerned with anything other than making sure you felt safe, loved, and cared for in this moment. Â
âSo, Y/N finally wore you down,â your dad said, and it sounded like a statement wrapped in a half-joking, half-disapproving tone. Maybe it was the way he said it, but it didnât sit well with you. You could feel the sting of it, the assumption that youâd been some sort of challenge for Trent. But then again, maybe he didnât mean it that way. You werenât sure anymore. Your dadâs words hung in the air, but there was something about the way he said them that felt offâlike he was trying, but still not really understanding. You stiffened slightly, catching the slight edge in his tone, but you couldnât be sure if it was truly patronizing or just his attempt to mask his discomfort. Trent, however, didnât hesitate. He always seemed to have this way of handling awkward moments with confidence, and right now, he used it like a shield.Â
âNah, I finally got my dream girl,â Trent said with a grin, flashing that million-dollar smile your dad had always found disarming. âEveryoneâs on board with it now, even Jack the lad, so⊠What you saying?â Trent prompted. You couldnât help but feel a flicker of warmth for him in that moment. Heâd just taken the lead, not hesitating, not letting your dadâs old-world ways hold him back. It was like he was saying, This is happening. You have to deal with it, and you have to accept it. It was exactly what you needed to hear. You looked at Trent, grateful. He was doing all the hard work that you couldnât bring yourself to do, and doing it with such ease, making your dad see that this wasnât some fleeting phase or secret rebellion. This was real. And with his words, it felt like Trent was subtly reminding your dad that he couldnât just sit on the sidelines of your life. Your dad, for all his avoidance and silence up until now, finally softened.Â
âJust want her happy,â he said, his voice sincere, and for a moment, you could see that he meant it. The weight of the words, even though they were simple, felt like he was finally trying to step into your world, into a space where he hadnât been before. He reached out then, almost tenderly, lifting your chin with his finger, his gaze softening as he looked at you. âJust want you happy, sweetheart.â There was an effort there, something raw and unspoken behind his eyes. It wasnât perfect, and it wasnât the resolution youâd hoped for, but it was something. For the first time in a long while, it felt like your dad was tryingâreally tryingâto meet you halfway. And for a brief moment, you allowed yourself to believe that maybe, just maybe, this could be the start of something different between you both.
âAye bro, we going out tonight?â Jackâs voice carried over as he approached Trent with Noah trailing close behind, his energy already at full throttle.
âYeah, mate, Iâm down,â Trent replied with an easy smile, turning his head slightly toward you. âGotta stop home first, but yeah, down.â Jack clapped his hands together, clearly excited.Â
âLetâs goooo. Trentyâs actually coming out with us. Been missing for a while. Wonder where heâs been,â Noah teased, his tone full of mischief. His eyes darted over to you, the wink he shot you making your cheeks heat up. Trent shook his head, a small chuckle escaping him.Â
âDonât mate,â he muttered, though his tone was amused. Then he leaned down toward you, his voice dropping to a soft whisper in your ear.Â
âYou wanna come back with me first, pretty girl?â The warmth of his voice made you giggle as you nodded, already feeling your heart flutter. You barely had a moment to revel in the intimacy before Jack groaned dramatically.
âEw⊠fuck right off,â Jack grumbled, pulling a face as if heâd just walked into something awful. The embarrassment hit you like a wave, and you hid your face in Trentâs neck, trying to disappear. But he wasnât about to let you hide for long. His arm wrapped securely around your waist, and you could feel his skin shift as he smiled. He leaned down again, his lips close to your temple.Â
âWant to get going? Hmm?â he cooed, his voice sweet and reassuring. You pulled back, giving him a small nod as you went to grab your bag. Trent watched you with that soft, fond look he always seemed to have when it came to you, and even with Jack and Noahâs teasing, you couldnât help but feel completely safe with him.
As you grabbed your purse, you felt your dad step closer, his presence lingering behind you like he was unsure if he should speak. You turned slightly, catching the hesitation in his face. His hands were tucked awkwardly in his jacket pockets, and the tight line of his lips showed he was working up to something.
âSweetheart⊠youâve gotta talk to me,â he finally said, his voice soft but insistent, the same tone heâd used when you were little and in trouble. You stilled for a moment, gripping your purse tighter. Then, you turned to face him, already on the defensive.Â
âI donât⊠Iâll talk to you next time you call Jack,â you snapped, your words sharper than intended, but you didnât take them back. Your dadâs shoulders tensed as if the bite in your voice stung.
âY/NâŠâ he began, his tone gentler now, trying to tread carefully. âIâm happy youâre with him. ButâŠâ That one wordâbutâsliced through the air like a warning. Your heart clenched painfully, and the tightness in your chest spread.Â
âBut what?â you demanded, your voice rising slightly. The tears youâd held back all evening were dangerously close now, teetering on the edge of your composure. He took a deep breath, gesturing vaguely around the room and toward the buzzing energy outside.Â
âHave you thought about this⊠what itâs like to be with someone with this life?â His hand swept toward the box windows, where the stadium lights and crowds shone brightly, as if Trentâs world was a foreign, insurmountable thing. You blinked at him, dumbfounded and suddenly furious.
âSo Jack can be friends with someone with this life, but I canât date someone with it?â you shot back, your voice tight with frustration. âWhat is it, Dad? Do you think Iâm not strong enough? Or is it just easier for you to trust Jack with all this than it is for me?â
âSweetheart,â he sighed, his tone dipping into something softer, almost pleading. âI just⊠I canât see you hurt or upset. Please.â You took a step back, shaking your head in disbelief. His words felt hollow, like they carried a concern that wasnât rooted in knowing you, but rather in trying to protect an outdated idea of you. A part of him never could trust Trent. It didnât matter who he was, it didnât change the fact that you were the only girl he had left, and Trentâs life was far too risky for his girl.Â
âDad, youâre upsetting me right now,â you whispered, your voice trembling despite your best efforts to keep it steady. He closed his eyes briefly, as if trying to compose himself.Â
âAlright,â he murmured after a moment, his voice heavy with resignation. Slowly, he stepped forward and pulled you into a hug. His arms felt heavy around you, like he was holding onto more than just you in that momentâgrief, regret, guilt. âIâm sorry, hun. Just⊠can ya give me a ring sometime? Let me know how youâre doing?â You let out a shaky breath, your defenses crumbling as his embrace tightened.Â
âOkay,â you murmured weakly, unable to push him away when he was like this. You didnât hate him or anything. It was just a strained relationship. One that was badly bruised but not broken. He pulled back, his hands moving to gently hold your face. His eyes, tired and watery, scanned yours with an unfamiliar tenderness.Â
âAlways here for you, alright?â he said, his voice softer now, more vulnerable. âDiâs right⊠beautifulâŠâ His words caught you off guard, and before you could react, he leaned down and kissed your hair. There was something in his actions that felt like a glimpse of the dad you used to knowâthe one who saw you, really saw you, before the loss of your mum built an unspoken wall between you. But then he continued, and the weight of his words hit you like a wave. âJust like mummy was. Beautiful. So donât lose that smile. I only have yours, sweetheart.â The compliment hung in the air, bittersweet and sharp. For a moment, the world seemed to pause as you absorbed what heâd just said. He was telling you you were beautiful, comparing you to your mum, but there was something beneath the words that made your chest ache. It wasnât just a complimentâit was a plea. A reminder that your smile, your light, was all that was left for him now. You nodded silently, swallowing back the lump in your throat as tears blurred your vision. His hands lingered on your face for a moment longer before he stepped back, giving you space. But his words stayed, weighing heavy on your heart. He meant well, you knew that. But his love, wrapped in grief and unspoken expectations, felt like a burden you werenât sure how to carry anymore.
The game had been intense, the energy of the stadium still ringing in your ears as you walked through the door. The weight of everything-the adrenaline from the game, the quiet tension in the air after the final whistle, and the lingering thoughts about the night-settled into your bones. You pushed the door closed behind you with a soft click, taking in the familiar scent of Trent's place, which should have felt comforting, but tonight it was a little too quiet. A little too still. You couldn't hide the exhaustion in your eyes, the way your mind was still racing with everything that had happened that evening. You didn't want to talk, didn't want to think about the crowd, the noise, the emotions. You just needed to forget, to be lost in something else for a while. He noticed immediately.Â
"Sweet girl, you okay?" His voice was gentle, soft with concern, but there was also a warmth in it. He could see past the cloudiness in your eyes, he could see you were carrying something heavier than just the weight of the game. You tried to smile, though it was weak, and shook your head slightly.Â
"Yeah, baby... I'm okay." You appreciated his presence, his effort to make you feel better. It meant more than you could express. He stepped closer, his hands sliding around you, pulling you into his embrace. He kissed the back of your neck, his breath warm against your skin.
"Hmm my baby..." He hummed with his lips staying pressed to your skin. "Thank you for coming," he whispered, his lips brushing against your skin again, sending a shiver down your spine. His arms tightened around you, the security of his touch grounding you. "You looked so good tonight," he murmured, his words affectionate and full of admiration. You leaned back into him, feeling the heat of his body against yours. His lips found your ear, nipping gently at it, and you closed your eyes, giving yourself to the sensation. "Need to shower before we go out, you know," he cooed, his voice low and teasing.
"Mmmm... do you need company?" you smirked, your playful side slipping through the cracks of your exhaustion.
"Absolutely," he whispered, his hands moving to peel your jumper over your head, the cool air in the house sending another shiver through you. Without a word, Trent picked you up, effortlessly carrying you upstairs to the bathroom. You giggled at the suddenness, his strength a comforting presence. As he set you down in the ensuite, you eagerly stripped off the rest of your clothes, your movements frantic as you tried to rid yourself of the tension from the night. Trent followed suit, shedding his own clothes, his back pressed against the cold bathroom wall. "C'mere," he whispered, his voice deep, almost commanding. He moved towards you, his hands sliding down the back of your thighs, coming under your ass as he picked you up effortlessly. You wrapped your legs around him, kissing him messily, desperately. It was a kiss that spoke of more than just desire-it was about forgetting, about feeling alive in the midst of everything that had happened. He pulled away, loosening his grip slightly, his fingers fumbling as he turned on the shower. The sound of the water rushing from the showerhead filled the space, the hot water soon warming the air around you, enveloping you in steam. Trent stepped in first, pulling you closer to him. It wasn't long before you were pressed against the wall, your back to the cold tile as Trent moved inside you with a rough intensity. His lips were on yours between every thrust, soft words of affection-âI love you,â whispered breathlessly as the water cascaded over your bodies, mingling with the heat of the moment. You were shaking, your body overwhelmed by the intensity, but Trent held you tightly, grounding you. As the minutes passed, your breaths grew shorter, the euphoric high mixing with the crash of emotions, the pressure of everything finally coming to a head. When it was over, Trent gently set you on your feet, his hands still supporting you as you clung to him, the warm water cascading down around you, and for a moment, everything outside of this moment seemed distant. It was just the two of you, wrapped in the heat of the shower, bodies pressed together, hearts still racing from what had just happened. Trent's arms around you felt like the only thing keeping you tethered to reality. He ran his fingers through your damp hair, his touch gentle now, almost reverent as if he was trying to savor the moment. "I love you," he murmured again, his voice soft but steady, as if he needed to remind both of you that, despite everything that had happened, this was real. You looked up at him, your chest still heaving from the intensity of it all, your lips tingling from his kisses.Â
"I love you too," you whispered, your voice breaking slightly. Your emotions were all tangled, a mix of desire, love, and the lingering pain from the night. But in this moment, in his arms, it all seemed to fade away. Trent cupped your face, his thumb brushing over your cheek.Â
"Don't let tonight get to you," he said quietly, his forehead resting against yours. "Let me take care of you." You nodded, closing your eyes and leaning into him, the warmth of the water and his embrace comforting you in a way nothing else could. It wasn't just the physical pleasure that had brought you together, but the connection, the way he made you feel safe, despite the storm of emotions swirling in your mind. He kissed you again, slower this time, more tender, letting the water continue to wash over you both as the world outside seemed to vanish. There were no distractions here, no chaos, just the two of you. For the first time that night, you allowed yourself to let go fully, to forget about everything that had happened-just for a little while. As the water began to cool, Trent gently helped you step out of the shower, wrapping you in a towel and pulling you close. "We'll figure everything out," he promised softly. "Just... trust me, yeah?" You didn't answer right away, but his presence was enough. You didn't have all the answers yet, and there was still so much uncertainty, but in this quiet moment, in his arms, you felt like maybe, just maybe, things could still be okay. In the aftermath, the world outside seemed a distant memory, the quiet between you two an unspoken promise that for a little while, at least until you headed out for the night, you could forget everything else.

stay a little longer
Kim Minjeong x Reader
a/n: I just have RosĂ©âs album on repeat and I canât get this out of my head. I'm sorry, I know it's Christmas đ
thank you @rd0265667 and @seullovesme for going over this first. mwa!
Minjeong woke up from a fitful sleep. It's been days since she's been like this, a heavy pit in her stomach whenever she wakes up. She looks over to where you are sleeping turned away from her. You were in the same bed and yet you seem so far away from each other. With a heavy sigh she got out of bed and started to get ready for the day.
Unbeknownst to Minjeong, you have been awake too. In fact, you haven't slept for days since you felt something shift in your relationship but you kept it all to yourself. You found yourself just watching her sleep sometimes seeing how peaceful she is and you wish nothing more for her to always have that kind of peace even as you swallow a lump forming in your throat and tears forming in your eyes. You made yourself smaller on your side of the bed when you felt her move and pretended to sleep. It was easier that way. You didn't wanna see her pretend to be okay this early in the morning, as much as you can, you'd give her space.
When Minjeong was dressed and ready to go, she stood by the door of your bedroom looking at you curled up on the bed. She doesn't know how to feel or what to do so she just looked at you for a little while more before eventually deciding to go near you.
You heard her footsteps coming and you were surprised but tried to breathe evenly. You didn't want to move 'cause you didn't wanna startle her and lose a brief moment you might share.
Minjeong crouched down in front of you and traced your cheek with her finger. She smiled a little, your cheeks were still her favorite to pinch and poke after all. She contemplated on kissing your forehead but decided against it in case you suddenly wake up. She was in no state to see your sleepy brown eyes staring back at her. So she got up and looked at you one last time before leaving.
You were holding your breathe the whole time as well as the tears that's starting to form in your eyes. You wished so bad that she would either stop or just kiss you and shower you with affection. But you felt her move and heard her receding footsteps. When the door finally closed, you felt your tears flowing. You were catching your breath by the time you realized you were crying and you didn't know how to stop.
Minjeong was trying her best to act normal around you. She really wanted this to work out, but somewhere down the road she fell out of love. She feels so guilty about it and she tries her hardest to keep you happy and not let you know anything's wrong. She's thinking she'll be able to keep it up long enough for her to go back to how she feels for you. After all, she was the one who wanted you first so why does it feel like this now for her? And she can tell that you love her still with every smile and every affection thrown at her, and yet she feels like you're holding yourself back at times. It makes her wonder if you can feel it too - that subtle shift somewhere.
You and Minjeong weren't always like this. You're such a goofy pair - a perfect match as your friends say. You were both so smart and share almost the same likes. You always loved how witty and creative Minjeong is. Minjeong adores how sweet and kind you are. While Minjeong is quiet at times, you are bustling with energy and talks a lot and she listens to you with so much adoration in her eyes that you tend to shy away at times or get conscious about it. But she always assures you that she loves it. Both of you balance each other out that way.
Recently, you often get conscious about talking too much when you spend time with her, that you tend shy away and just sit quietly at dinner or when watching a movie with her. Only this time, there's only guilt in Minjeong's eyes that she's trying so hard to hide from you. Now you're both walking on a tightrope trying your hardest not to let each other fall off.
You were both trying. Minjeong, so clueless of what you are feeling, thinks she can still salvage what's left of your relationship. You, on the other hand, are just barely keeping it together although you know it's probably time to let her go.
So you made up your mind. You planned a perfect weekend together, which surprised Minjeong but she went along with it thinking maybe this is a good thing for the both of you. While in your mind, you're already pleading that this will make her stay with you longer, even though you know it is a battle you already lost.
You cooked all her favorite food, watched her favorite movie, talked about her work, and played lots of games. It was fun for the both of you. You were both genuinely smiling and laughing, but you can see the sadness behind it. You can sense how bittersweet the day was as it came to an end.
You smiled at Minjeong and took her hand as you guided her outside the balcony to look at the night sky. She was looking at you, you can feel it. You sighed and looked at her as you hold back tears. "Thank you for such a wonderful day, Minjeong." You say as you rub circles on the back of her hand. A nervous habit you sort of picked up when you're trying to soothe both her and yourself. She smiles at you, "of course. I had fun today."
You take a shaky breath and look out the horizon. "Minjeong, can I ask you something?" Her brows furrowed as she squeezed your hand. "Of course, baby. What is it?" She asks, and you almost melt as your tears start to well up when you heard her call you baby. You stumble over your words, trying to form a coherent thought. Minjeong looks over at you worriedly and squeezes your hand once more.
âI donât know how to form it into words,â you confess. Minjeong tries her best to soothe you, âitâs okay, baby. Just try and Iâll understand.â You look at her and you see worry and guilt swimming in her eyes. It was all the push that you needed to finally let her go.
âMinjeongie, are youâŠâ you choked back a sob and looked elsewhere before continuing. âAre you happy?â It was followed by complete and utter silence. You were scared to look over at her and so you continue after taking a huge breath. âDo you still want this? Us? Because honestly, Minjeong, you can tell me if this is no longer what you want. Iâd rather lose you than see you so unhappy.â
You closed your eyes for a bit and steadied your breathing before risking a peak at the girl beside you. She was looking ahead with such somber eyes that it broke your heart further and cemented the thought that this was the right thing to do. âHave you been feeling that way for a long time now?â She softly asked. You owed her the truth no matter how much you wanna sugar coat everything. âYeah, for a while now,â you replied just as quietly - afraid that if you say it louder it will become more true.
âIâm sorry,â she starts. You shake your head smiling at her although youâre in the brink of breaking down. âItâs nothing to be sorry about. If anything, Iâm sorry. I knew for a while now and I still held on. I wanted you to stay a little longer, but each passing day I feel Iâm being more of a burden than a rest for you and I donât want that.â Minjeong held on to you tighter, trying to convey her feelings as she knows she wonât be able to put it into words.
âIâm sorry,â she whispers again and you close your eyes as you feel her pull you in for a hug. You savor the moment, for you know this is all you have left. So with the last bit of your strength, you enveloped her tighter and you stayed this way for a little bit longer before you catch your breath and let her go.

After you had been kicked out of your Moms house and moved in with Joel, everything started to settle down. Neither of you had heard from your Mom in weeks and you hadnât tried reaching out to her either.
You no longer had to live with her or that toxic energy she was made of.
Joel and you were living on cloud nine, fucking anywhere you could at all times. At this point it was impossible that there was a surface left in his house that hasnât been defiled.Â
Heâs fucked you in the shower, pushed you against the tiles with ferocious force and pounded you til tears were streaming down your cheeks. Heâs slipped inside you from behind in the early mornings when you were barely awake, you had allowed him to do this in a prior discussion and in the end it wasnât unpleasant waking up to his hips snapping against your own and those rough fingers flicking your clit.Â
One morning he had bent you over the kitchen counter, pulled the shirt you stole from him up and over your naked ass before swiftly pushing into your wet pussy. Heâd taken you apart right by the open kitchen window and youâd just hoped that the nice elderly lady next door didnât hear you screaming.Â
Another time heâd stopped you from drinking your morning chai tea by tugging your unoccupied hand down to his growing bulge, he nuzzled himself into your neck and whimpered which was music to your ears. Of course you gave into his needs and got down on your knees dutifully, to serve him just the way he liked. You had taken his length down your throat so willingly and swallowed every last drop like a greedy little slut, desperate for his cum.Â
Joel came up with a pretty good idea to surprise you. He watched you each morning, pouring a splash of milk into your chai tea and then sipping it while sitting out on the back porch.
It was one of those days where Joel would be up before you and as always he stood in the kitchen prepping your tee. Since he had gotten used to your warm and waiting mouth draining his full balls each morning, his cock obviously still got hard, even when you werenât there to take care of him.Â
Normally he mightâve sneaked into the bedroom, peeled the blanket back and pushed his way into your tight pussy till he filled you up completely. But this time his plan looked different. He pushed his shorts down until his engorged cock bobbed up against his lower belly, one of his enormous hands wrapped itself around his member and he started jerking off frantically.Â
âYeahhhhâŠbabygirl will love Daddyâs milk in her tea, ughhhâ he mumbled and groaned while holding his leaking slit right over the beautiful cup you had bought.Â
Not long after a generous load splashed into the cup, Joel, who was still buzzing, then topped it off with some normal milk.Â
By the time you woke up, came down the stairs and sat down at the table to enjoy breakfast, Joel had cleaned up and put on his poker face. He joined you at the table, pressed a gentle kiss to the crown of your head as he had placed your drink of choice down in front of you.Â
You thanked him before you brought the cup up to your mouth and took a sip. It tasted good, but there was something else to the taste. A slight but welcomed bitterness.Â
âDaddy, it tastes good, but did you put something else in there?â You drowsily asked him.Â
Joel chuckled at that âHmmm dunno,â he pretended to think it over, tapping at his chin with his pointer finger, before he continued âwell Daddy mightâve put in some special creamer.â He winked at you.Â
âSince when do we have creamers ?â You sounded genuinely curious.
âOh babygirl, you are so cute when ya just woke upâŠâ he shook his head lightly before leaning in. With his lips at your ear he whispered âitâs Daddyâs special Milk.âÂ
You had let out a stunned gasp and pushed him away by his shoulder, but your face didnât display anger, no, your cheeks were flushed and you had a dazed smile adorning your face.Â
âOh daddy, you are so naughty,â you mused in a sickly sweet voice.Â
âBut ya like that, donât you, Moon, love?â He knew exactly the effect his deep rumbling morning voice had on you.Â
âOf course I do, I can never get enough of you.â Yeah. He had you wrapped around one of his beefy fingers.Â
After some time, you had shyly suggested trying out to switch the existing roles, till now Joel always took the leading dominant position and you did whatever he wanted. So you didnât expect him to be so open to giving you the power over him but Joel was no little boy that couldnât be shown some new tricks, no, he was on board immediately.Â
A couple days later, he found himself naked from the hips down, sitting on one of the dining chairs with his arms crossed behind his back.Â
âYouâre really not gonna tell me what my surprise is, baby?â He tried to manipulate you by sounding extra sweet but you wouldnât budge.Â
âNo, Iâm sure youâll find out soon enough what I have in mind for you,â you send him a flirtatious wink and your secretive behavior only encourages his curiosity further.Â
Of course as soon as Joel grants you the power over him you take full advantage of it, not only is he supposed to stay seated and refrain from touching you. No. You had additionally put on a matching black lace set. Joel could see your perky nipples calling to him from under the delicate fabric and, apart from tiny black flowers adorning the swell of your breasts, the bra was see-through.Â
When you turn away from him, he can't stop groaning at the sight of your perfect ass cheeks, the ones he loves to smack, bite, kiss and lick at any chance, split by the matching black lace thong.Â
You ripped him out of his horny thoughts when you got down on all fours.Â
âRemember the rules: no touching and you donât come until I allow you.â You remind him while slowly crawling between his wide spread thighs.Â
âYes, baby, I remember the rules,â he sounds dazed and he is, you kneeling between his legs looking so stunning, was making it hard for him to think.Â
âHmm, thatâs a good boy,â you reply and Joelâs cock jumps in excitement, he likes you calling him that wayyyyy more than expected.Â
âFuckkk, Moon, what will ya do to me?â His pitch is getting more whiny and desperate with each word.
âDonât worry, babyboy, Iâll take good care of you,â you nod reassuringly at him while placing your soft, warm hands upon his knees and stroke all the way up to the crease where his leg meets his hip. Those small yet deliberate touches make more blood rush right to his groin. Heâs already pulsing and you havenât even done much.Â
Joel is closer and closer to losing his composure the more you stroke his thighs. You keep almost touching him where he is aching the most, but you stop right before you are about to close your fingers around his cock.
âGod, pleaseee, Moon-Love I need ya to touch meâŠâ thereâs a strain to his voice and he begins wriggling his hips in hopes your hand might slip and touch him but instead you pull away instantly.
Joel sighs in annoyance, closing his eyes and letting his head fall back to rest between his shoulder blades.
âMooni, donât ya think this is enough teasinâ for your old man?âÂ
âMhh, no, I think you can handle a little more. You wanna be a good boy for me, donât you?âÂ
You clearly want to ruin him completely.
âHnghh, I do butâŠ-ïżœïżœ He doesnât get further than that because you decide youâve had enough of his petulant behavior. All he feels is your teeth sinking into the meat of his thigh.
His head snaps back to look at you in confusion âOuch, what was that for?âÂ
âHad enough of your constant whining, besides donât you dare pretend to be shocked youâve done the same to me,â you tilt your head,âremember?âÂ
How could he not? All those hours he spent sucking and biting bruises into your squishy thighs, those were some of his favorite moments.
ââcourse I do darlinââŠlove spending hours with my head between your legs, so close to that pretty pussy.â He fucking winks at you.Â
You just roll your eyes and lick soothingly over where you had bitten him.Â
âYou are such a smooth talker, arenât you. Think Iâm gonna give in if you butter me up?âÂ
âWellâŠ.will ya give in?â Cheeky fucker.Â
âShut up Joel,â you put your hand on his weeping cock and within a split second he breaks the touching rule.
You retract your hand and get up from kneeling. âHmmm, I gave you enough warnings. You are clearly not a good boy Joel, so we are doing this the hard way.âÂ
âNo, baby, Iâm sorryâŠI didnât expect it. Pleaseee donât stop,â there he goes whining again.
You pay no attention to his words, you pick up the secretive little bag and walk behind him.
âPut your hands back where they are supposed to stay,â Joel complies silently.
You pull out a black rope and start looping it around his wrists in a way you know he could easily get out of.Â
To your surprise, he doesnât protest to being tied up. Good choice. It would only get him into more trouble.Â
Once youâre done, you step around to be in front of him again, still holding the bag.
âMore surprises?âÂ
âYeah, Iâm not sure how youâll like it though but thereâs no other option⊠Bad boys need to learn their lesson.â You pull out what looks like two black silicone rings. He knows what heâs in for. You had talked to him about possible practices you two could try out, cock and ball rings were discussed, amongst other things, but you didnât warn him when it would happen.
You put the dominant role aside momentarily, âAre you okay with this, daddy? I promise Iâm gonna be careful to not hurt the goods.â You smile at him but he doesnât need much more convincing, he knows he can trust you with his treasure.Â
âGo ahead, baby, doinâ such a good job for Daddy,â thatâs all you need to hear before kneeling once more in front of him.Â
You grasp his cock at the base and tilt his member down before spitting on him, quickly your hand slides up and down to spread his pre-cum and your spit all over.Â
The first ring is for his juicy, swollen balls. You slip it over his testicles with ease.
âIs it too tight?â You ask.
âAhh..no- no, sweetheart, itâs okay. New but nothin I canât handle.â He husks.Â
And so the second ring gets slipped down his impressive length.Â
He lets out a hiss, takes a few deep breaths and tries to collect himself. You can see beads of sweat running down the column of his throat and the urge to lick them takes over you. You get up fast, holding yourself upright by placing your hands on his thighs. You lean in, open your mouth and let your tongue lick a bold stripe across his racing jugular. His musky, unique taste causes a stirring in your lower belly that you could suppress till now.Â
While he adjusts to the rings around his groin, you happily lap up his sweat.Â
âMoon?â He panted.Â
You stop and stare at him with expecting eyes, waiting for the sign.
He nods and with that, you get back on the ground. You know your knees will definitely be bruised tomorrow but itâs totally worth it.Â
For a second you just take in the visual of his manhood, dripping with precum and his cock is twitching ever so often.Â
Tentatively, you try to wrap your fingers around him, not adding pressure and yet this is enough to make him moan.
âBaby, âm so hardâŠplease make me cum. Please, baby, Iâll do whatever ya want.âÂ
His eyes are wide and heâs frantically nodding.Â
âShhh, itâs okay, babyboy I got you,â you amp up the grip around his base and you lean closer to spit directly onto his slit.
Unexpectedly, you pick up the speed and your hand makes wet squelching noises as you bring him closer to finishing.Â
âAh..ahâŠahhh baby, fuck, donât stop Iâm so close,â Joel is closing his eyes and preparing to let go when you rip your hand away.
âWh..why did ya stop?â You just laugh at him.
âI told you, you donât get to cum unless i allow it,â you smirk cruelly.Â
When you touch him this time, you use both hands and twist them while jerking him.Â
âUghh Moon, so good baby, youâre being so good for me..â you are marveling at the way Joel becomes a whimpering mess, the man that usually does this to you is now putty in your hands.
You still have some tricks up your sleeve, till now his balls were left untouched but just then your left hand slips down to his heavy sack.
You squeeze and rub them lovingly. Joel on the other side is floating away, he is beyond overstimulated and his balls feel as if they will burst any moment.Â
Then you withdraw your hands again.
âNo..no..no, baby, no donât do this,â he is pleading with you âplease touch him, I need to cum Moon.â He begs you with urgency.
âShh, itâs okay, daddy, you get to finish now.â You were being honest, his warm cum is what you wanted most. It was fun playing with him but now you were satisfied.
Your soft, slippery lips begin littering kisses to his glistening tip. You did that from top to bottom, even giving one to each of his swollen balls.Â
âThatâs a good girl, give kisses to Daddyâs balls, they produce all the milk Iâll put in your tee and in your cunt.â He laughs and you canât help but smile.
âThank you daddy for giving so much of your milk, making sure my belly is filled.â you whisper in between kissing his cock.
âUse your tongue please, babyâ He doesnât need to ask twice before you lick a stripe from his balls to his head. You flick the pointy tip of your tongue at his slit, besides his own juices, your drool was making this ordeal more sloppy and messy with each second.Â
In Joelâs mind, the following 30 seconds were nonexistent. Heâs sure he must have momentarily passed out or went to some kind of higher headspace. You have to tell him afterwards that in that moment you had let his throbbing length enter your mouth. And he knows that you are not lying because when he regained consciousness, that was the image that greeted him. Your plump lips wrapped around his cock.Â
You got him about halfway down your throat before reaching your limit.Â
âJesus Christ, baby, ya gonna kill me,â Joel couldnât even hear himself properly, he sounded miles away to himself.
Something happens that you could have never predicted: a tear slides down his handsome face and lands on his grey shirt, leaving a dark spot behind.Â
A sick part of you wants more of that, so you pull your mouth off him entirely and instead you lick and kiss the sensitive spot at the underside of his dick. You researched before and found out that itâs called âFrenulumâ. It supposedly drives men crazy so you wanted to try it out and Joelâs reaction was priceless.
He is so tense, biting his lip, scrunching his eyebrows and those gorgeous thighs of his are twitching, indicating that he must be practically seconds away from coming.Â
To give him the final push, you stop licking him and instead place the inside of your palm flat over his leaking slit, rubbing that hand in small and quick circles.Â
âFu..fu..fuck, I..Iâm cominâ Moon,â he huffs with his remaining energy.Â
All the tension inside Joel snaps and, with a loud yelp, he comes, hot thick white ropes of cum land on your face, chest and ultimately on himself. Joelâs entire body twitches as the rewarding feeling of finally being able to release pressure washes over him.Â
The room was silent except for Joel attempting to catch his breath and you have to make it hard for him. You may appear innocent but to Joel you are a little sadistic devil, you just have to swipe some of his cum off your tits before sucking your cum coated fingers into your mouth.Â
All while keeping eye contact with him.Â
âHmmm, thank you, daddy, tastes delicious,â you smack your lips together satisfied.
You perk up suddenly. âShit, sorry Joel, let me take off the rings.âÂ
You try your hardest to touch his cock and balls carefully. Slowly, you release his sack and then remove the ring that sat at the base of his cock.
You move on to untie him from the chair and then help Joel to the bathroom so he can take a relaxing bath with you.
âCome on, honey, weâll take a nice bubble bath and then go to bed. How does that sound?â You ask him on the way up the stairs.
âSounds fuckinâ perfect to me darlinâ â he mumbles in response.Â
Lastly, he adds a soft spoken, âI love you Moon,âÂ

.đ„ Ę Ë đŽ LOVE YOU
Megan Skiendiel x fem!reader
summary: meganâs been best friends with y/n since day 1. they got each other through dream academy together and they were experiencing success side by side. but when y/n starts getting a little more intimate with sophia, megan seems to realize things about herself she hadnât noticed beforeâŠ
warnings: angst!! harsh language, some real hard pining
Megan had always been good at hiding her feelings. It came with the territory of being in a band, where emotions could complicate the already delicate balance of creative and personal dynamics. But when it came to Y/N, her best friend and older member of Katseye, hiding her feelings had become more than a skillâit was a necessity.
She didnât remember exactly when it started.
Maybe it was during one of their late-night songwriting sessions, where Y/N would sit cross-legged on the floor of HYBEâs studio, her hair a mess but her eyes alight with passion. On some nights when she couldnât sleep, the woman would just sit and tinker with whatever she had to work with, and sometimes, Megan would join her.
Or maybe, it was when the two of them were sitting in the theatre with the girls watching a horror movie. They had paired off and Y/N desperately begged for the two of them to sit together. Whenever a jumpscare would pounce onscreen, the older woman would grab onto the redheadâs arm.
Megan caught herself hearing her heart drum against her ears as Y/Nâs hot fingertips danced down her arm. Her head would lay on the Chinese dancerâs shoulder, and they were practically teased the whole of that week for being such a couple.
What Megan did know was that by the time Y/N started dating Sophia, it was already too late.
It wasnât that Sophia wasnât a good person. In fact, she was one of Meganâs closer relationships in Katseye. She was talented, driven, and had a maternally gentle nature that kept everyone grounded. She made Y/N laugh in a way that lit up the entire room, and Megan hated how much she noticed.
Tonight, the band had gathered at their shared studio for a casual rehearsal, then turned hangout. Sophia and Y/N were seated on the couch, the leaderâs arm around the womanâs shoulder as they laughed over something on Y/Nâs phone. Megan sat across the room, her guitar in her lap, strumming absentmindedly as she tried not to watch them.
It was harder than it should have been.
âEarth to Megan,â came a voice, snapping her out of her thoughts. She looked up to see Lara waving a hand in front of her face. âDude, youâve been playing the same chord for, like, five minutes. Itâs driving me nuts.â
Megan set her guitar down onto her lap. âOh, my bad,â she said, adjusting her position on the couch. âI zoned out.â
âZoning out or zoning in?â Daniela, who strolled over to plop down beside the redhead, asked, her voice low enough that only she could hear. Her eyes flicked briefly toward the couch, and Meganâs heart sank.
Lara wasnât the only one who had noticed, then.
âIâm fine,â Megan said quickly, shooting them a look that begged for both of them to drop it.
But Lara wasnât about to let it slide. She was tired of watching the redhead stare longingly at the bandâs couple. It was taking away her energy in the studio, at home, and even at dance practicesâwhich Megan loved most. She crossed her arms and gave her a pointed look.
"Megan, weâre not idiots. Youâve been distracted in every rehearsal. Your playingâs been off, and you donât give as much energy at practices. Thatâs not normal for you." She leaned in a little closer. "Is it about Sophia?"
At the mention of Sophiaâs name, Meganâs stomach twisted. She thought of the easy way Sophia was always around Y/N, guiding her, supporting her. Sophia deserved Y/Nâs full attention and loyalty, didnât she? So why did her mind always return to her best friend?
Megan swallowed, forcing herself to meet Laraâs eyes. "No, no, itâs nothing like that."
âSo itâs about Y/N?â Daniela chimed. "Youâve been really distant with her, which is insane because yaâll are always together and itâs usually super suffocating. Youâre not yourself, and we just want to make sure youâre okay."
Meganâs chest tightened. She opened her mouth to protest, to tell them she was fine, but the words got stuck in her throat. She didnât want to admit what she was feeling. She didnât want to confront the truth that was too messy, too complicated. But how could she keep pretending? How could she keep ignoring what was growing between her and Y/N?
Laraâs voice broke through her thoughts again. "Whatâs up, Megan? And be for real with us.â
Megan finally let out a long breath, looking down at the guitar in her lap. She couldnât lie to them forever. Maybe they already knew. Maybe they could see through her better than she realized. But it was still so uncomfortable to unpack it.
"I donât know whatâs going on," Megan admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. She could feel the weight of her words hanging in the air. "I think... I think Iâm just confused. And I donât know how to deal with it. Iâm fine, guys. I swear.â
Daniela and Lara exchanged a look, but neither of them pushed. Instead, Daniela placed a gentle hand on Meganâs shoulder, rubbing it with her fingers. "You donât have to figure it all out on your own. Just talk to us. Weâll help you sort it out."
Lara nodded, her usual demeanor softened. "Yeah, we got you. Whatever it is, you donât have to keep it inside."
Megan looked up, meeting their eyes. She felt a lump form in her throat. "I donât know if I can fix it," she muttered. "I donât even know if I want to fix it. I just feel... stuck. And I hate feeling like this."
"Youâre not stuck," Lara said firmly. "Youâve always been the one who knows exactly what she wants, Meg. But sometimes... sometimes weâre faced with things that make us question what we thought we knew." Her voice softened. "Itâs okay to be confused. Itâs okay to need time to figure things out."
Megan let out a shaky breath, her mind racing. It felt like the ground beneath her was shifting. She had always been the one with a clear direction, someone who knew what they wanted. But now, everything felt tangled, uncertain.
She had feelings for Y/N.
Feelings she hadnât expected to developâfeelings she couldnât just erase. And then there was Sophia, who was her friend and took care of her when she was struggling with her career. She couldnât break that, could she?
It wouldnât just be betraying her bond with her band mate, but the one with her best friend too.
Lara raised an eyebrow, sharing a look with Daniela. Neither of them pushed further. Instead, they turned their attention to the others. âAre we running through the new song, or what?â
From across the room, Y/N had slipped her phone back into her pocket. Sophia was staring at the woman under her arm, but Y/Nâs searching gaze landed on Megan.
And when their eyes met, the older member beamed at the redhead. It was moments like this that gave Megan undeserved hope, moments she really wanted to believe Y/N only had eyes for her, when everybody else had eyes on her.
âLetâs do it,â Y/N said, grinning as she stood.
Y/N stood, leaving Sophiaâs arms as she strode over to where Megan sat. Daniela and Lara moved so the woman could make room for herself, slotting her body between Daniela and Megan on the couch. The olderâs hand brushed against Meganâs arm, then down to the guitar.
Megan swore her cheeks looked bright red just then.
Sophia didnât seem to pay them any mind, and Megan hated the fact she was so hyperaware of the leaderâs every move. She wished she could be as confident and secure as Sophia, being able to just exist as their own person without worrying about their feelings. She felt guilty, so guilty it was eating her alive. Almost like she knew she was wrong to be thinking about the way her best friendâs body was pressed against her on the couch, staring at her as if sheâd hung all the stars in the sky.
She wantedâno, needed to believe it was somewhat real.
That she wasnât totally insane thinking there was something.
As the group broke into song, lead by Manon on a base and Megan on the guitar, their voices blended together. Singing harmonies with Y/N always felt like magic, Megan loved the way their voices bled into each other in a way that was almost instinctual. But tonight, every glance Y/N threw her way, every smile, felt like a dagger twisting in her chest.
After a few hours, they wrapped up for the night. Sophia suggested heading to a nearby bar to unwind, and everyone agreed. Megan hesitated, but the idea of going home to sit alone with her thoughts felt even worse.
At the bar, the group settled into a booth, ordering drinks and laughing over inside jokes. Megan tried to join in, but her attention kept drifting to Y/N and Sophia.
Y/N would make a joke, and in her blinding fit of excitement, sheâd get too caught up in something Sophia had said and miss the way Megan opened her mouth to mention something.
At one point, Y/N turned to Megan, her smile bright.
Almost like she was mocking Megan.
When their round of drinks (and Yoonchaeâs soda) was nearly downed clean by the girls, Y/N offered to go order everybody another round. Her soft hand shelled Meganâs, for the first time that night, urging her to follow to have a moment alone.
âHey, you okay? Youâve been pretty quiet tonight.â
Meganâs chest tightened at the concern in Y/Nâs voice. She nodded, forcing a smile. âYeah, just tired. Iâve been sleeping on my neck kinda weird lately or something.â
Y/N frowned slightly, her brow furrowing. âI have the spine adjusting pillow thing. I wish you wouldâve told me, I wouldâve given it to you in a heartbeat.â
âI know,â Megan said softly, her gaze dropping to her drink. Thatâs the problem, she thought.
She was slightly taken aback when she felt warm fingertips run along her neck. She flinched at the sudden contact, earning a look of concern from Y/N.
âOkay, somethingâs wrong. Youâre all⊠jumpy.â
Megan scoffed, cackling forcefully as her whisker dimples appeared. She shook her head, âNo, no, itâs all good, seriously. Nothingâs wrong, I promise you.â
âThen let me check your neck, red.â
Red was such a stupid nickname. It was a stupid nickname when Y/N gave it to her after getting her hair dyed, and it was a stupid nickname now. She hated hearing it. She hated it. She hated hearing Y/N say it. She hated it so much, she wish she could just hear her say it one more time then never again.
When Y/N reached for her neck again, she didnât say anything. She felt her own skin burn with each tap of her fingertips.
Y/N massaged the kinks she didnât even know she had out of her neck. The warmth of Y/N's hands seeped through her skin, and for a moment, everything elseâthe noise of the bar, the hum of the blaring musicâdisappeared. It was just Y/N, her steady hands working magic on the tension in her muscles, and something inside Megan churned the same way it did the few times they were alone together recently.
The older womanâs touch was so gentle, but their hands were firm, assured. Meganâs breath caught in her throat as Y/N massaged deeper, easing the tightness with a practiced touch.
There was something so intimate about it.
She wondered if Y/N would do this for Sophia, if the leader came out and said she was sleeping on her neck wrong, would Y/N be as eager to help soothe her neck?
Megan closed her eyes, letting out a small sigh as the tension slowly melted away, but her mind was racing. Her heart beat faster with every second Y/Nâs fingers lingered on her skin, and it was thenâright there at the quiet section of the barâthat it hit her like a wave.
She wasnât just grateful. She wasnât just feeling affection.
She was in love with Y/N. With her best friend.
The realization was sharp, unexpected. Megan pulled in a breath, but it was like the world had tilted just slightly, making everything feel more vivid, more intense.
Y/Nâs voice broke through her thoughts, their hands pausing as they asked, âHowâs that? Better?â
Megan opened her eyes, but her breath was a little unsteady. She cleared her throat, forcing a smile. She couldnât bring herself to look Y/N in the eye. âYeah... a lot better. Thanks.â
Y/N gave her a grin, their hands lingering for just a moment longer than necessary before pulling away. "Anytime, red."
But as Y/N returned to their spot, Megan sat still, the weight of her own heart pulling her deeper into something she hadnât expected. She had fallen for them, and it had happened in the quietest, simplest of moments. And now, she wasnât sure what to do with the feelings she couldnât untangle.
The night wore on, and eventually, the group began to disperse. Manon and Daniela were adamant in going out to more clubs, Lara and Yoonchae were going to carpool back home after a stop at the convenience store. And eventually, it was just Y/N left behind, looking out for the redhead who refused to join any of the other groups. Sophia lingered behind for her girlfriend, but also eyeing Megan in question, beckoning her for an answer about her plans for the night.
âYou need a ride home, Megan?â Sophia asked.
âYou two go ahead,â Megan said, waving them off when they offered to share a cab. âIâll walk. I need some air.â
Y/N hesitated, her eyes searching Meganâs face as if trying to read between the lines. âYou sure?â
âYeah,â Megan said, her voice firmer than she felt. âIâll see you guys at home.â
She watched them leave, Y/Nâs arm linked with Sophiaâs, their laughter trailing behind them. When they had disappeared around the street corner, Megan decided to stay at the bar for a while longer, nursing a drink in her hands and replaying the night in her mind.
By the time she made it back to the dorm, the place was empty and quiet. It was well past midnight and she could hear Manon snoring from downstairs.
She sat on the couch and stared at the ceiling.
The door creaked open, startling her. She turned to see Y/N stepping out from her and Yoonchaeâs room, sporting one of Meganâs hoodies.
Fuck, she looked so good. How could she look so good?
âY/N?â Megan said, sitting up. She watched the older circle around the couch to stand just inches under front of her. âWhat are you still doing up? Itâs super late.â
âIt is,â Y/N said, her eyebrows furrowed, âBut I couldnât sleep because I didnât hear you come back.â
Meganâs heart skipped a beat. She swallowed thickly, looking away. âI just⊠went on a joyride,â she said quickly, though her voice lacked conviction. âItâs not a big deal.â
Y/N sighed, sitting beside her.
âI know you so much better than you think I do, red. Youâve been lying to me, and I didnât want to press, but youâre not giving me anything to work with and Iâm getting real worried about you.â Y/N confessed, running a hand through her hair in frustration. âI get it, you can work at your own pace, I donât want to pry, but youâve been off. Youâve been lying to me, you havenât been giving your all in rehearsals and youâve been coming home late a lot when we have nights off. So for once, just tell me the truth, Megan.â
Megan hesitated, her mind racing. She could lie, brush it off again, but the weight of her feelings was too much to bear.
âI...â Megan began, her voice faltering. She took a deep breath, summoning every ounce of courage she had. âI have feelings for someone. And itâs... complicated.â
Y/Nâs eyes softened, and she reached out to squeeze Meganâs hand. âHey, thatâs great,â she said gently. âYou can tell me.â
Megan shook her head. âThatâs the thing. I canât.â
Y/Nâs grip on her hand tightened. âWhy not?â
Megan met Y/Nâs gaze, her heart pounding. Her fingers fidgeted. âBecause itâs you, and I donât want it to be.â
The words hung in the air, heavy and irrevocable. Y/Nâs eyes widened, her expression shifting to something unreadable. Regret rammed straight into Megan like a truck.
âMegan,â the older said softly, her voice barely audible.
âI know youâre with Sophia,â Megan said quickly, her words tumbling out in a rush. âI would never do anything to come between you two. But I canât keep pretending that I donât feel this way. Itâs been eating me alive. Fuckâjust forget I said anything, okay? Itâs so stupid and I just⊠fuck.â
Y/Nâs silence was deafening, and Meganâs stomach twisted.
âJustâIâm sorry,â Megan sighed, feeling the gravity of her words blow straight back into her face. âFuck, seriously, just forget it. I shouldâve never said anything.â
She stands to leave, pulling her hands away from Y/Nâs.
âMegan, waitââ
But Megan was already at the door of her and Laraâs shared bedroom, her hand on the handle. The door closed behind her, leaving Y/N to simmer alone in the aftermath.
She didnât know what would happen nextâif Y/N would tell Sophia, if the band dynamics would crumble, or if theyâd somehow find a way to move forward. All she knew was that, for the first time in years, she had been honest with herself. And maybe, just maybe, that was enough.

This is a three-way poll. Only one scrungle may continue onto the next round of the scrungly little guys contest.
Louis de FunĂšs (Hibernatus, La Grande Vadrouille)âHe is THE French scrungly icon, everyone knows him and either loves him for his scrungliness or fucking hates it and there's no in between. He is The Scrungly. He is Little. He is amazing. His facial expressions, his little noises, his everything - he's freaking hilarious. Also he's not afraid to crossdress in his movies and he looks fucking AMAZING in drag just saying Old men fuckers, this is your call đȘ
Thomas Mitchell (It's a Wonderful Life, Stagecoach, Only Angels Have Wings)âOne of those job'bing character actors who turn up in a lot of movies in bit parts. He is a very good actor, with a lot of pathosâyou probably know him as the uncle from It's a Wonderful Life, or Jean Arthur's newspaper friend from Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. A salt of the earth type who brings gravitas and pathos to every part. He scrungles gorgeously.
Russ Tamblyn (West Side Story, Tom Thumb, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers)âwhen they were making 7 brides for 7 brothers they didnât even hire him to dance, they were like, this is russ, heâs a redhead, we need redheads, heâs shrimpy and will do. But then. But THEN. Choreographer Michael kidd meets him and is like âcan you do anything?â and my boy russ is like well! I can do gymnast stuff i guess :) And he gym stuffs so well heâs like in 80% of all the dancing sequences so you think my boy, russ, my goodness, russ is a DANCER! (he canât dance. he is just very good at doing FLIPS and GYM STUFFS.) and then heâs so so good at flipping and making it look like dancing they put him in Dance Movie of All Time, west side story. Truly scrungling your way to the top. Heâs good in that tom thumb movie too I guess. Go russ go.
This is round 2 of the contest. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. If youâre confused on what a scrungle is, or any of the rules of the contest, click here.

Louis de FunĂšs:
He is a small old comedy man, what else can I say? My mom loves him and even was disappointed that such a charismatic man wasn't in the hot contest.
Well... Look at him! He started as a jazz pianist, but he became super famous for his roles of angry little guys, or grumpy little guys, or very, very fractious little guys. A comedy, and in particular physical comedy, legend! And in all of them, he is scowling, contorting himself, seething, spitting words and incoherent with rage, making the funniest faces and noises and... he's like a very, very angry wet cat. Angry Wet Cat is, in fact, the best description I can come up with!!!! He was #ScrungleLifestyle #BornScrungly #Scrungle4Life
[editor's note: I don't speak French so let me know if anything in these clips is offensive. The first two clips are mostly physical comedy and a good introduction to Louis de FunĂšs' humor for non-French-speakers :)]
