"Sometimes I wonder if, besides whether I deserve everything I've achieved, I'm actually doing good enough to keep it. I mean... do I deserve my position at Red Bull, or are they just keeping me because Seb was the one who got me in, and now I'm also Mark's girlfriend? And about that last part... am I really what my boyfriend deserves, or, like dad says, is it just a passing fling of a few months where I only want to sleep with him as some sort of stress relief? Seb says that, as long as Mark makes me happy, that's what matters, but... does Mark really make me happy? Or is it..."

"I'll open the door, Dad!"

Louisa's voice, your little sister, snapped you back to reality.

Carefully, you put away the diary your best friend gave you, and your main source of therapy, in the nightstand drawer. Then, you jumped out of bed with a joy you hadn't felt in a long time.

You walked over to your desk, gently moving aside the scattered notes you still hadn't cleaned up despite having finished the semester two weeks ago. You made sure you looked as presentable as possible. Your hair, which fell over your shoulders, was perfectly straightened, though your bangs needed a little fixing. You decided to apply some lip balm as well not just to keep your lips hydrated, but to give them a little extra shine.

Then, somehow nervously for reasons you didn't want to recognize, you decided to adjust your clothes focusing on your own reflection, trying to come with positive affirmations about how everything you got was absolutely deserved.

You knew all too well that Sebastian Vettel was your best friend but, somehow, you always tried not only to look as perfect as possible in front of him, but also to let him know that you were truly worthy of his friendship.

No matter how much the German had cherished you since you both met in 2008, when you joined Toro Rosso as an intern and he was one of the team's drivers, you always had the feeling of not being for enough for him... Of not being worth to be close to him.

Suddenly, the door swung open, revealing your two younger sisters.

"Why are you taking so long?" Amelie, 15, asked. "It's not like your boyfriend is the one who came..."

"Yeah, yeah! Why are you extra pretty today?" the youngest, Louisa, who was 8, chimed in. "Seb is already downstairs waiting for you. He's talking to dad and uncle Hans, and I think they're talking about soccer. It's super boring."

"Shut up, would you?" the middle sister scolded the youngest, giving her a light tap on the shoulder. "Ignore her," she said to you. "What they're really doing is trying to figure out why Sebastian came over today and, more importantly, why he's staying with us for a few days. Care to explain?"

Your eyes widened because, as far as you remembered the conversation you had, Seb never mentioned anything about staying with you.

"What do you mean staying with us? Seb really said that?"

"Uncle Hans thinks he's just your friend, but dad thinks you're sleeping with him at the same time as Mark," Amelie replied.

"How could I be sleeping with Seb?!" You shouted, pulling your sisters into your bedroom and slamming the door shut. "That's... that's ridiculous. Yeah, that's what it is," you finished, trying your best not to curse and, also, trying to calm your nerves.

"But if dad says it, it must be true, Y/N," Lou said, a little annoyed. "You know dad never lies to us."

That was a lie, and you knew it perfectly. However, for her was just... the reality you made her live in since Bernhard, your dad, told the three of you he was dying from cancer.

"Listen to me, both of you," you cut in, ignoring their words. "I need you to behave and promise me something."

Amelie and Louisa exchanged curious glances before looking back at their older sister.

"I don't want you to mention anything Mark related in front of Seb. No jokes, no offhand comments about how much you dislike him... Absolutely nothing. Got it?"

"Why can't I tell Seb that I don't like Mark even it's the truth? Do I have to lie to him?" Lou asked innocently. "You always say we don't have to lie."

"Well, because..."

"If you're doubting so much it's because you really are fucking Seb. Don't get me wrong, but..."

"Amelie, watch your mouth, you're not alone!" you shouted, cursing her off while glancing at the youngest of you three.

"What does fucking mean? Does it mean you're boyfriend and girlfriend?" Louisa asked again, curious and innocent.

"Seb doesn't have a girlfriend anymore, okay?"

Your statement left the other two stunned. Louisa had really liked Hanna since she had always been nice to all of you whenever you'd met. Amelie, on the other hand, started wondering why the German driver, who had seemed so in love with his girlfriend for years, had suddenly broken up with her.

"Seb isn't with Hanna anymore?"

Kart Racing - Sebastian Vettel

Summary: Sebastian and his wife take their son to a go-kart race.

You and Sebastian eagerly accompanied little Elias on his first day of kart training. The sun shone over the runway, while the noise of engines filled the air.

Elias, just seven years old, demonstrated surprising ability. His kart cut corners with precision and he seemed to intuitively understand the nuances of the track. You and Sebastian exchanged surprised looks with each quick turn.

– “He’s incredibly agile on the track, don’t you think?” – You said smiling, as they watched Elias speed up.

Sebastian nodded, but a slight frown betrayed his growing concern. – "Yes, but do you think he is going too fast for his age?"

As time passed, it became clear that Elias not only dominated karting, but also had a true competitive spirit. He overtook other riders with an ease that surprised everyone.

Noticing a bold maneuver that almost resulted in an accident, you and Sebastian exchanged glances again, now with evident concern.

– "Should we be worried?" – You asked, your gaze fixed on your son who was challenging his limits on the track.

Sebastian sighed, realizing the situation. – "Yes, I think we should. It looks like we have a real challenge ahead of us with this boy."

The day continued with Elias defying gravity in the kart, leaving everyone's jaw dropping with his dexterity. At the end of the race, you and Sebastian approached each other, a mix of relief and uneasiness.

– "You were incredible, Elias, but we need to talk about some track limits." – You started, trying to find the balance between praising and setting rules.

Sebastian looked at his son with a smile. - "You're fast, but we need to make sure you're safe too. Let's work on this together, okay?"

Elias nodded, but a mischievous gleam in his eyes made it clear that there were challenges for you and Sebastian, not just on the track, but also in raising a future Formula 1 world champion.

You and Sebastian knew that your seven year old son would be the reason for his first gray hair.

Everyone has dreamt of their future at least once in their life. Whether or not someone can admit to it is a different thing entirely. Some people love dreaming of the future, some people hate it. Some people like the idea of dreaming about it, but think it’s better to focus on the present. Y/n was someone who loved dreaming. He would spend hours and hours just imagining what his future would look like. His dreams of the future were always changing. When he was little, Y/n would imagine that he was going to live in a floating castle in the clouds with all his stuffed animals for company. When he was in primary school, he’d imagine that he’d live in a big treehouse with all his friends. At the beginning of high school, he imagined that he’d live in a cute suburban house with a nice girl, and they’d have a dog and maybe a cat. 

It wasn’t until Y/n was in university for a degree in environmental engineering, that he experienced something that would change his life forever. 

His first gay thought. 

Y/n had assumed, since his dream of living with a nice girl was incredibly short lived, that he was asexual. Or more accurately, aromantic. 

He was, evidently, wrong. 

He had gone on a class trip to watch a Formula One race in 2014. Why was the class trip to an event that was not environmentally friendly? Y/n didn’t know, he was just happy to be included. Though no amount of happiness could disguise his disdain for how bad the fuel consumption was for the planet. 

Since the class was full of adults, they were all allowed to do as they’d pleased. They only had to make sure that they met at the hotel lobby every morning and every evening. So Y/n had gone to explore the paddock (somehow his lecturer had gotten the school to pay for three day paddock passes and Y/n was not about to complain). It was during his paddock exploration that Y/n had bumped into who he thought was the most cocky– and attractive– man in the world. 

Sebastian fucking Vettel. 

Had Y/n known previously about Sebastian’s abilities, he would’ve made sure not to think so explicitly. 

But Y/n didn’t know. And so who could blame him for thinking about Sebastian and what Y/n could only assume was nothing less than the physique of a Greek God with a tastefully enticing sleeper build. 

Sebastian certainly didn’t, that’s for sure. 

In fact, if someone were to ask Sebastian now how he’d felt after accidentally reading Y/n thoughts that day, he’d probably be a little bashful and maybe even a little modest. If you’d asked Sebastian the same question back then? The bastard would probably smirk and say something along the lines of how he always knew he could pull men and women. 

Sebastian had had the time of his life, going out of his way to talk with and read the unfiltered, borderline raunchy, thoughts of the man who ‘smiled and blushed so prettily’. 

The rest was history. Sebastian had managed to exchange phone numbers with Y/n, who over the years had managed to instil in Sebastian the importance of environmental sustainability. Sebastian had been very blunt about his attraction to Y/n, and in turn Y/n had been a blushing, flustered mess as he confessed to his own attraction to the German. 

They’d started dating and they were happy, incredibly content with each other. Y/n witnessed as Sebastian mellowed a little when in public, slowly starting to no longer live up to his ‘Menace of Red Bull’ persona. Of course, as they both grew older, Sebastian had slowed down in terms of being a pest to the other drivers, however that had not meant that he completely mellowed out in private. 

He would occasionally do something that reassured Y/n that Sebastian was still the cocky, smug bastard that he was when they’d met. 

As they spent more and more years together, it was evident that they were not the only thing to change. The world around them was changing and soon same-sex couples were given the right to marry. Marrying Sebastian was something that Y/n had often dreamed about. The scenario had always played out differently but the overall message and desire remained the same. 

Y/n was more than ready to spend the rest of his life with Sebastian. 

It was because of your recurring thoughts of marriage that Sebastian had decided that he needed to have what could potentially be the most important conversation ever with Y/n. He was going to tell his boyfriend the truth about how Sebastian had always managed to know exactly what Y/n wanted for his birthdays, or how he’d always been able to know what Y/n needed before Y/n even had time to realise himself. 

It was a shock to Y/n’s system when Sebastian had told him about being able to read his mind. So much so that the very first words Y/n managed to say to him were, “So it’s like Edward from Twilight?”

Sebastian had laughed loudly, before explaining that it was more like Queenie from Fantastic Beasts. “Oh…” Y/n had said, “So when we first met–?” Sebastian smirked. “Oh yeah, I saw all of those vivid thoughts in your pretty head..” “A-all of it…?” Y/n asked, eyes wide at the realisation that his first thoughts of Sebastian were in fact, not as private as he’d originally assumed. 

“All of it.” 

Y/n was silent for a moment before–

“Don’t be smug, you rat bastard. I could’ve been thinking of someone else.” 

“No, I seem to remember a very detailed image of my body–”

“Ahlalalala, I can’t hear you, lalalalalala…”

I honestly don't even know what to say. I'm simultaneously upset at having to redo this whole fic but also I feel glad that I'm at least happy with what I managed to rewrite.

The original version was probably not as humorous, but I felt that given the situation, I needed at least some crack fic element to this.

Can I please ask for a social media au (not sure if it's the right one for this idea, so you can do it however you want it) with whichever era of Seb Vettel where the reader is a best-selling author and she is freaking out on twitter or other social media platforms after watching an interview with Seb after a race. An interviewer asks him what his favourite book is after catching him reading one, and he casually shows hers while stating that it was one of the best books he's ever read and that she was his favourite writer and a very beautiful and talented woman. All of her fans that also follow f1 are going crazy and shipping the two of them, since they know very well of her undying love for him, so they team up with the f1 fans to get them to finally meet after one of his races in the same country where she was doing a book meet-and-greet.

Sorry if this is too long but it's been in my head for a while and I really liked the idea of maybe the red bull team (if you want to write that era of him) surprising him with the reader after he won the race and his reaction going viral.

He found this place after one of his not very successful Grand Prix and liked to come here to think about everything that had been stored in his soul for so long. He could talk to himself, blame himself for failures, praise himself for success. He could be in harmony with himself and spend multiple hours alone. Anyone, the most famous people, sometimes need to be alone. But nowhere was he calmer than with you.

Y/N Y/L/N had only two stable things in her life: Formula 1 and her relationship with Mark Webber… or, at least, that’s what she thought.  

Despite having a father battling worsening pancreatic cancer, two younger sisters to care for (even with the help of their uncles), and the constant pressure of standing out in a male-dominated world, the girl was always ready to put others before herself. That’s why when Sebastian Vettel, whom she considered her best friend ever since she joined Toro Rosso as an intern in 2008, unexpectedly broke up with Hanna Prater, his girlfriend of over three years, Y/N didn’t hesitate to invite the German to spend the first days of 2010 with her since she wanted to help him clear his mind and, above all, give him the support he deserved.  

However, Y/L/N’s imperfect fairy tale turned into a real nightmare when Webber was caught off guard hearing his teammate’s voice in the background during a phone call with her.  

From that moment on, Mark’s insecurity spiraled into overwhelming jealousy. Sarcastic remarks, veiled insults disguised as criticism, constant questioning, and demands to push Vettel aside from her life made Y/N convince herself that it wasn’t her boyfriend, 12 years older, manipulating her, but rather his desperation to hold onto her love and avoid losing her. Sebastian, on the other hand, was fully aware that that wasn’t love and that Y/L/N was slowly dimming, no matter how much she tried to prove otherwise and reassure him that everything was fine, just a small rough patch in their relationship.

One night, left completely alone and, once again, let down by Webber’s empty promises, and with a drunk Sebastian who kissed and confessed her she wasn’t his ex, and never would be her, Y/N Y/L/N realized that, perhaps, she had always wanted something more than just a friendship with Red Bull's golden boy, but she had simply chosen to accept the love she thought she deserved, even if that meant to never lose the sunshine of her life.

As the daughter of Ayrton Senna, the racing legend, the world of F1 has always been part of her life. Now, as a mechanical engineering student, you landed an internship at Toro Rosso, an opportunity that blended your passion for engineering with deep memories of your father.

One afternoon, in the Toro Rosso pits, while analyzing the car's data, the voice of Sebastian Vettel, a young German driver, interrupted his thoughts. – "These numbers always seem very complicated." – He said with a relaxed smile.

You turned around, surprised to see the pilot next to you. – "Well, to me, they tell fascinating stories." – You replied, smiling. The connection has been made. Sebastian, curious and respectful, began to ask questions about his father and the time when Senna dominated the tracks.

– "Ayrton Senna is a legend. What is most incredible about him that people don't know?"

You smiled, appreciating the sincerity of the question. – "In addition to his incredible driving skills, my father was driven by an intense passion for competition, but also by a deep respect for other competitors. He sought excellence, not just for himself, but to elevate the entire sport."

Sebastian, his eyes shining with interest, replied: – "It's incredible how he influenced Formula 1 and all of us. I'd love to hear more about him."

You laugh, sharing your knowledge with passion. – "It's all about understanding the nuances, the details that can make a difference. And when you drive, these details become even more crucial."

– “This is for us, for our partnership.” – says Sebastian, and before you know it, your lips meet in a passionate kiss, revealing to the world the connection that developed behind the scenes.

The news about you two spreads quickly through the media, but you face everything head on. At a press conference, Sebastian smiles for the cameras. – “Finding someone who shares the passion for the sport and understands the madness that is Formula 1 is rare. Commitments - 2012
