the dragon and the crab
pairing: aegon targaryen x fem!celtigar!reader
synopsis: boys seem to catch your eye more, as of late. you wonder if that’s the reason why you’re helping this drunken fool of a prince.
includes: drunk aegon, he’s actually not that bad here. so sorry if this is ooc this is my first time writing a oneshot for him!
WC: 1.5k
a/n: this was written with ty tennant’s aegon in mind because it’s set during laena velaryon’s funeral, but you can envision tgc’s aegon too i don’t really care. i did not proofread this so im sorry for any mistakes, i literally just wrote this on my phone in bed because i miss aegon and im bored. i might write a part 2 idk
-
The first time Aegon sees you, he cannot help but wonder why you take such a liking to Helaena.
Laena Velaryon’s funeral had been an uneventful one. A bore, to be honest, but his mother would smack him if he’d ever voiced that thought aloud. He’d never known the noblewoman well. Honestly, his mind was more preoccupied with the looming thought of his upcoming wedding.
It was tradition for Targaryens to be married to relative. They’d practiced it for hundreds of years, long before the doom of Old Valyria. His mother had always seemed so intent on practicing the customs of her Andal forbears, and Aegon wished she’d been the same for his marriage.
Deep down, he knew why Helaena would be his wife. It was to keep her close to Alicent. If she’d been wed to some fat lord in the Riverlands, or a foolish one from the Reach, it would make no difference; there was no real confirmation that she’d ever be kept safe. His mother would not have another Aemma be made of her only daughter.
“We have nothing in common,” Aegon complained, constantly having to brush his silver waves away from his face. The wind from the beach was relentless.
He stood off to the side next to Aemond, away from where you yourself sat next to the Princess. She seemed to speak in riddles, with the way she mumbled of ‘spools of green and black’, but you did not mind. You could tell she was of a sweet nature.
Helaena handed you another shell to hold, her fingertips tracing the texture of it. “She’s our sister,” interjected Aemond.
Everything about Aegon was improper. The way he could not seem to let go of his cup of wine for even a minute, the way his eyes wandered towards the skittish maids, even down to his posture; hunched and lazy. “You marry her, then,” The elder prince said, his fingers loose around his chalice. If he wasn’t careful, he’d probably drop it, make a fool of himself as he always had.
“I would perform my duty. If mother had only betrothed us.” Aemond did not speak out of genuine desire for his sister, only his yearning to be the firstborn son. To be given the duties of his unwilling brother.
“If only,” He scoffed.
His blue eyes traveled to where you were, listening closely to every word of his weird soon-to-be wife. Aegon did not pay much attention to his Old Valyrian lessons, much less his history, but even he could recognize which house you were from by the dress you wore; ivory and scarlet, the colors of House Celtigar.
Your house was a Valyrian one itself, though far less proud than the one of his own or the Velaryons. You wore a veil of mourning to honor the late Lady Laena, but he could see the earrings you adorned beneath it; crabs, closely resembling your sigil.
You could not hear what the young princes spoke of, but your eyes had averted over to them occasionally, though most of your attention was paid to Aegon. His face was scrunched together as he studied you, trying to figure out why you’d ever willingly be in the company of Helaena. Mayhaps you were just as off-putting as she was.
Blooming into womanhood, you could not help but take notice of boys your age; Aegon himself was quite handsome, though lustful and foolish, and your mother had personally warned you to stay away from him on the way to Driftmark. It only made you want to talk to him more.
Soon enough, Aegon made his way over to another servant, grabbing the pitcher on the platter she held and pouring himself more Arbor gold… away from where you were. You wondered if that’d be the last you saw of him.
-
It wasn’t.
Sleep had escaped you. Taking a stroll outside was far more appealing than tossing and turning in your bed, so you’d wrapped your robe around your nightgown and snuck out of your chambers.
You almost gasped when you saw him. There he was, at the end of the stairs, drunk and hiccuping with his eyes closed. He sat against the stone of the railing, head drooping and hands still grasping his goblet tightly.
“My Prince?”
No response.
Descending down the steps, you poked his hunched shoulder. He did not even start. It took a harsh shake of his forearm to wake him, and Aegon threw his head back when he did, smacking it against the marble behind him.
Aegon’s pale hand flew to cradle the back of his skull. He hissed, features squeezing together as he let out a sharp breath. It reeked of wine, and he appeared to be startled that he hadn’t been smacked yet. “Grandsire?” He asked, eyes still scrunched shut.
“No,” You said softly. “It’s just me, my Prince.”
His eyelids shot open. It took a moment for him to recognize you. “Why are you out here? Shouldn’t you be abed?”
Gods, maybe your lady mother was right about avoiding him. He’d already begun to irritate you, and you’d been speaking to him for less than a minute. “Shouldn’t you?”
His head lolled to the side, falling to rest on his shoulder. “What will you do? Tattle on me to my mother? I’ve already been scolded today,” He grumbled, his words slightly slurred.
Really, you should just leave this fool of a prince alone, act like this never happened, and climb back into bed. You won’t. It’s normal for men of his age to indulge in their vices, but some part of you tells you that this is wrong; that he shouldn’t be out here in the cold night, slumped into a mess of his own limbs. You feel bad.
Boldly, you reach forward again, grasping his wrist. “Come on,” You say to Aegon, your tone softer. “I’ll help you back to your chambers.”
“I’m too tired.”
He yelps when you yank him up, stumbling forward, his hands scrambling to grab your shoulders to keep him upright. “You should not treat a Prince so roughly.” Despite his words, Aegon allows you to wrap an arm about his shoulders, guiding him forward.
His eyes are wide as he looks down at you, seemingly trying to figure out why you’d pour this much time into someone you don’t even know. There’s a flush becoming all the more apparent on his face, and unbeknownst to you, it’s not because of the wine.
You’re sure there will be a scandal made out of this. An unmarried young noble-lady taking King Viserys’s firstborn son, drunk, back to his chambers during the hour of the owl? Certainly the maids will begin to whisper false tales of your relationship with the Prince, and your father will reprimand you on the ship back to Claw Isle. He might have you married even sooner to dispel them. You cannot find it in yourself to care.
“This way,” You whisper, walking towards where the innermost hall is, where the royal chambers are. Aegon’s steps are uneven and irregular. If you’d not been holding him, he’d probably have fallen twice already.
He’s even more beautiful under the torchlight. Soft cheekbones and plush lips, he’s the very image of his mother, though he certainly does not act like it. Your lips almost part at the feeling of his nose nudging against your cheek, though you attempt to ignore it.
He’s drunk, you tell yourself. Pay no mind to him.
The knights on patrol raise their brows at the sight of you when you make your way past them. An awkward position you’re in. Both his and your arm are wrapped around the other’s shoulders, and his knees are bent so he can be at the level of your face. He’s not even looking forward to where you’re trying to go, his eyes analyzing the look on your face.
He was so talkative when you woke him. You wonder why he’s gone quiet, but reason it to be that he’s exhausted. “What’s your name, again?” He sputters.
He nods rapidly when you tell him it, as if he’ll remember it on the morrow.
Finally, you make it to his room; even the doors to it are grand and tall, befitting one of his status. Yours are farther away from his, in the corridors practically across the keep. It’ll be a long walk back.
You find you don’t know what to say. “…Well, good night, my Prince,” You say softly, letting go of him to let him stand by himself. He wobbles.
Aegon turns to leave, but whips his head around before his pale hand can grasp the handle of the door, his eyes darting around the features of your face. He wants to remember you, it seems.
“You won’t stay?” He can barely pronounce the words correctly, let alone stand up, choosing to lean on the door behind him to keep his balance. Somehow, it’s both endearing and pathetic.
Your cheeks flush at the mere idea of following him into his bedchamber. What was he thinking?
“No, my Prince. It’s best I leave you be.”
Aegon nods solemnly at that, tongue running over his slightly chapped lips. He bows his head in thought, then raises it again, a peculiar glint in his eye that you cannot decipher.
“….’s Aegon. Just Aegon,” He says, quiet, like it’s a secret only the two of you know.
“Good night, Aegon.”

Love & Ruin
Synopsis: After being hidden away for most of your life your mother decided to stop being protective. However, there is one rule you cannot break, DO NOT associate with your uncle Aegon. Of course, it's the first thing you do, and you both quickly realize you will be each other's inevitable downfalls.
Pairing: Aegon Targaryen x You (daughter of Rhaenyra) Warnings: drinking, cursing, smut, dubcon, more smut, manipulation, possible murder, obsessive tendencies, idk if this is dark!aeg or yandere but he's not okay, mentally. Word count: 7k Note: Part one of two:) I really hope yall like this. Reader is Helaena's age. I did not proofread; fuck it we ball. Tags: @lovelykhaleesiii @annikin-im-panicin @its-actually-minicika (Hi girls ily)
‘It wasn’t meant to happen like this’
Aegon paced back and forth inside the throne room waiting for the return of his brother. The storm that had rolled in was heavy, the sounds of hail beating the glass window echoed throughout the room. The sudden crash of thunder and jolt of lighting sent a shiver down his spine. The candles that lined the room were not enough to fully bring light into the dark. It was almost poetic; the storm echoed his inner feelings perfectly.
‘How could you do this?!’
‘Have you gone mad!’
‘Think about your wife! Your children! How will this look?’
‘She won’t show us mercy now, you fool!”
It had been hours since he sent Aemond to Storm’s End. The mission couldn’t have been that hard, go ask for a Baratheon bitches' hand and bring back a person. His mother had taken to chewing at her nail beds until they bled. His grandsire sat with his face in his hands contemplating how to fix this.
Once a crown was placed on his head Aegon found a new sense of confidence, one that could no longer be stolen away by those around him. His family could no longer control him nor tell him what to do. He was king and kings did not ask permission. They took what they wanted. From now on his word was law and this mission was the only reason he didn’t flee to Yiti. It was promised to him then taken away and he fully intended to take it back. And what he wanted was traveling to beg for Lord Borros to side with the pretender…
Five hours, it took five hours for the roar of Vhagar to be heard over the red keep. The storm had subsided to a light rain, yet the sky remained dark. Finally, he rose from his seat, his heart pounding in anticipation. A giddy smile creeping onto his face that his mother couldn’t help but scoff at. It didn’t matter anymore; he had won his first prize in war.
Murmurs from the council filled the once silent room but Aegon could only hear the pounding of his heart. His eyes locked onto the door waiting for them to walk inside. His imagination swirled with possibilities and all of them were better than his current situation. Alicent and Otto stared from a distance, both realizing their potential mistake. They let the dog off the leash and now they were about to suffer the consequences.
Guards rusting outside the doors caught everyone’s attention. The room went eerily silent as the doors began to creak open. Aegon nearly jumped out of his skin as he walked forward to meet who was coming.
Aemond, drenched in water, stalked inside slowly. His face was a mix of regret and… fear? The world stopped and as if on cue a flash of lightning followed by a crack of thunder that lit up the room. Aegon’s heart ceased to beat, his smile melted into nothing, and his feet threatened to give out on him. His mother’s eyes widened, and her hands fled to cover her mouth. Aemond struggled to lift the wet, bruised and unconscious body in his arms. He let out a shaky breath,
“There’s been an… incident.”
From a young age Aegon knew he had no love from anyone besides himself. His mother simply tolerated him, his father forgot him, and everyone else loathed him. The first-born son who should inherit everything but instead was given nothing. The son born to be loved but destined to be hated.
It was no surprise he was the way he was. He drank more than he should, fucked more than allowed and was cruel to those who may or may not deserve it. No one was born evil; they were raised to be that way. At least, that’s what he told himself to feel better at night.
And he wasn’t truly evil in the eyes of most anyway, just terribly pathetic. A lonely fourteen-year-old who may never feel loved. A boy who would never fully feel the warmth of someone’s gentle touch, the excitement when they approached, the soft reassurances and sweet nothings they would whisper, the true connection when intimate with someone you loved. It was all out of his reach… Until you started coming around.
For the better half of your life your mother, Rhaenyra kept you decently hidden from most of the court. It was not at all because you shared your features with Harwin Strong but because you were simply too precious for the world. You were her only daughter, her first born and you were too beautiful for the men in this city to gawk at and prey upon.
She would protect you from everything her father couldn’t protect her from. So, yes you didn’t get out much and when you did Harwin, and your brothers followed close suit. Rhaenyra did become more lenient as you grew. It was better to let you live as you wanted under watchful eyes than be locked away because of her own fears. At least that’s what Harwin told to calm her.
You were strictly prohibited from a handful of things though. Absolutely no leaving the keep unless it was daytime, and a handful of guards were there to follow. Absolutely no wandering around after dark, anywhere, no matter the circumstance. And finally, absolutely no involvement with your uncle Aegon.
Sadly, you were born with the same rebellion in your heart as she once had. The very first thing that needed to be handled was Aegon. It excited you to no end thinking about why he was banned from speaking to you. You needed to know why it was prohibited and see if it was as exciting as you thought.
Dusk had fallen on the keep and the light from the windows was beginning to fill the corridors orange. It was one of the rare moments you were able to be completely alone. You were supposed to return to your chambers immediately after your septa lesson but had time to stroll. Right now, your brothers would still be in the dragon pit, your mother in a council meeting and Ser Harwin getting ready for his nightly patrol. It was price time to make an escape and seek him out.
You found him in a compromising position. He was curled up in the corner of the library and reeked of wine. There was a subtle shine on his face from tears that were shed earlier. He looked pathetic, not in a bad way, in an abused puppy way that made your heart melt. How could you be banned from talking to him? When asleep he looked like a poor Angel. You crawled next to him and gently placed a hand on his shoulder to shake him awake. “Uncle?” You whispered into his ears.
“Aegon?” Your soft voice began to rouse him from his slumber. His eyebrows began to furrow slightly. “Aegon, wake up.” He jumped away and snatched your wrist, startling you. “Brother?!” His eyes scanned the room and you before settling with the most confused expression plastered on his face.
“N-no Aemond isn’t here. I-it’s just me.” Aegon paused in his drunken haze. Who was me? You were too pretty to be a maid, your clothes too fancy. His eyes danced up and down your form as his brain slowly started putting it together. “Your niece. It’s __ ”
His hands released you slowly as his mouth slightly hung agape. Why in the seven hells was Rhaenyra hiding a creature as beautiful as you? Yeah, he had seen you in passing maybe once or twice but never really got a good look.
You had the perfect plush lips coated in a shade of pink. Your eyes were large and glistened with his reflection inside your pupils. Your hair fell elegantly, highlighting your pretty face. And from what he could see from your neckline you had a nice chest too, for your age.
He felt two small warm hands cup his cheeks, pulling him from his thoughts. Aegon stared at you confused, his lips puffed out. “Oh Aeg, are you alright? Did someone hurt you?” Oh gods, you were too precious. He was too dumbfounded to say anything, maybe too drunk still to fully grasp the situation.
You weren’t wrong though; someone did hurt him. His mother barged into his room and slapped him clean across the face without warning. Ranting and raving about his behavior and how he was disappointing the family. He nodded slowly, not exactly sure how he was supposed to react. You let out a deep sigh and your lips formed a frown.
You knew exactly what to do. Your mother had done the same every time you or your siblings got hurt. You rubbed the tear stains on his cheeks and kissed his forehead gently. A soft smile appearing on your lips, “don’t cry please or you’ll make me cry. You’re a prince and a good son. You ride the prettiest dragon in the world and so many people think you’re amazing. You have so much to offer and they’re just too blind to see it. So many love you, I love you and-”
You were cut off by the sounds of your mother calling out your name searching for you. You let go of his cheeks and quickly embraced him. “You’re perfect, okay? Don’t cry.” You jumped to your feet and brushed your skirts down. “I gotta go… feel better!” Aegon sat and watched your little feet scurry off into the direction of your mother's voice.
His eyes were wide, and he was frozen in the same spot. Seven hells, seriously where the fuck have you been his entire life? There was a pool of emotions swirling inside him he couldn’t fully grasp. Your little hands and soft voice saying the sweetest things to a complete stranger. The way your lips softly pressed against his forehead radiating warmth throughout his body. You were so innocent, so blindly loving… You were his.
It was an odd thing for him to think. He never really desired someone for just himself, Aegon didn’t really care until this point. But right now all he could think about was stealing you away and keeping you tucked away in his room forever. Corrupting you slowly but only for him, no one else could see it or experience it. He needed more, desperately and as soon as possible.
He forced himself into wobbly legs and sucked in a deep breath. It was time to talk to his parents.
The plan failed so horrifically he could swear the gods were pissing on him. He went and asked for your hand, said he was ready to be a good son, bring the families together finally. Aegon was shot down so fucking fast he got whiplash. His mother was okay with it, seeing potential benefits. But his father was adamantly against it as was his bitch sister.
“You think I’ll let him drag my daughter into his depravity? Not until I am cold in my grave.”
That could definitely be arranged. It made complete sense; he was the eldest son, and you were the eldest daughter. You were heir and he was the second son of the king. There was absolutely no reason for rejection besides their own selfish, impossible to understand reasons.
It didn’t really fucking matter. When he wanted something, he got it one way or another. Thus, he came up with a plan to steal you away and woo his way into your heart permanently.
Aegon had stayed painstakingly sober the entire day and avoided any of the whores he usually wasted his time with. He waited til long after the sun had set to sneak through Maegor’s hidden tunnels to try and find your chambers. It was a hassle, he stumbled into Jacaerys’s room once and immediately backed out. Then he walked past what he assumed was a hidden entrance to your mother’s room only to hear lewd noises coming from inside.
He didn’t realize it at the time but that was when Joffrey was made.
The deeper he walked the more aggravated he became. Why was it so fucking hard to find you? It took him several failed attempts until he finally lightly pushed open the door to a room seeping with light. He peered in and saw you sleeping soundly on the bed, clutching a stuffed bear tightly to your chest. How cute, you were scared of the dark and slept with a bear, he thought to himself.
Aegon wasted no time welcoming himself inside and waltzing over to the side of the bed where you slept. He brushed a loc of your hair out of your face and admired how beautiful you looked, even while asleep. If he was totally honest, he could stay here and watch you sleep all night, but he had things he needed to do.
“Hey princess,” he spoke softly as he nudged your shoulder. Unlike him, you were an extremely light sleeper. You opened your eyes and they immediately shot wide open. You attempted to let out a scream at the intruder, but he swiftly shoved his hand onto your mouth. “Shhh! Shhh, it’s just me. It’s Aegon.”
Your face relaxed and you blinked your eyes a few times trying to decipher if this was a dream or reality. “Aegon,” you murmured into the palm of his hand. “I’ll let go if you swear to be quiet. Promise?” You nodded your head and he slowly pulled back; a wide grin plastered over his face showcasing his perfectly even teeth. “Good morning, princess.”
You rubbed your eyes and peered over to the window. “It’s still nighttime…” you drawled into a yawn. “I know, it’s the only time you’re alone.” You sat up on your bed, “I’m sorry it’s just-” your words were stuck in your throat as he reached up and brushed the hair out of your face again. His eyes were completely memorizing, and he touched you with the gentleness only your mother did. “No need to be sorry, princess. I’m here now, aren’t I?”
“Y-yeah.” Aegon stood up off the floor and handed you a cloak he had balled up in his lap. You raised an eyebrow at him and pulled it towards. “You don’t ever get to leave right? Well, I leave all the time so I thought I could take you into the city for some fun.”
Your face lit up, you could finally leave and see what’s outside these dull walls. But there was an aching sensation at the back of your head. The sound of your mother's voice telling you what not to do. The fear of disappointing her was strong and the fear of potential punishment even stronger. “I- I can’t. My mother would be furious.”
“I won’t tell anyone if you don’t. Besides, you wouldn’t want to make me cry, would you? I- I just thought you would want to spend time with me.” His blue eyes peered up at you with the same heart wrenching expression as the other day. It was manipulative, he knew but it worked every time. “I won’t tell anyone, " you said in a nervous whisper.
His frown quickly grew into a wide smile, flashing wolf life teeth. Aegon’s eyes had a mischievous glint behind him when he spoke, “good girl, put this on.” The nickname sent a shiver down your spine. A very subtle, almost unnoticeable feeling of butterflies filled your stomach. You blushed and nodded your head in agreement.
It didn’t take long for Aegon to grab your hand and whisk you far away from where you were meant to be. You clung to his arm as you both scurried through the dark corridors. The farther you went the smell of dust and cow dung intensified as did the conversation of city folk outside the walls.
The streets of King’s Landing were dirty but so much more alive than you ever thought they could be. It was the hour of the bat and yet the streets were bright with fires lit at every corner. The streets were crammed with people from all walks of life, travelers, merchants, witches, performers, whores, musicians, and knights. It was quite the spectacle for a young girl who had been confined to a castle.
Aegon was reveling in your excitement and awe, still blissfully unaware of the depravity that shrouded these streets. Your voice carried the joy only of someone as innocent to the world as you could possess. It was fucking magical how you gazed up at him like he was your savior.
To his surprise, you babbled about more than any girl he’d ever met. It should be annoying, but he was drowning in the presence of your voice and the way your fingers would squeeze his own when the topic turned to something that moved you. You had completely captured him with your accidental charm.
But as the night went on his original scheme drifted into the back of his like a distant memory. Aegon couldn’t take you where he wanted, you were too good for it. The prying eyes of others would probably send him into a blind rage anyway. It was already beginning to build as random passersby simply looked at you.
To avoid a possible murder or maiming he whisked you away to a final destination. Aegon told you people here eat, drink and play music here until the dawn rises. There were musicians and poets singing while people danced around them. Men and women were laughing and drowning themselves in what you presumed could only be wine. There were several dragon shaped lanterns that occasionally spewed fire lighting the corner of the world you reside in.
It was pretty spectacular in the eyes of a girl. But it was also the place where your inevitable downfall began. It started with a glass of ale, not wine, that Aegon offered you. It burned your throat as you swallowed it, whatever you had made him chuckle and use that nickname again. It inspired you to drink more and keep receiving soft praises from your uncle.
You could feel it flow through your body slowly warming your insides and sending a slight tingly sensation in your limbs. That’s when the music started to sound good enough to dance. You bounced around Aegon in possibly the worst showing of dance moves he’d ever seen. It was cute though, to him at least.
That’s when you decided to drink more and fully let go of whatever expectations of a princess rested in the back of your mind. One, two, three, you lost count after the first. Aeggy refused to dance but he occasionally twirled you around and let you hang onto his shoulders.
As time passed on so did any semblance of sobriety you had left. Your words were slurring together, and your movements became sloppy, the ability to stand was nearly completely lost. That’s when Aegon declared it was time to bring you home. At first, you tried to reject the idea and fight back, but your muscles were just as weak as your mind.
He lifted you and wrapped your legs around his waist so he could carry your little self-home. It was okay, at first being carried by Aegon. But then you began to feel his breath on your neck sending goosebumps through your body. The low whisper of his voice telling you sweet things echoing in the walls of your mind. Then came a new feeling between your legs when his lips brushed against your ears ever so slightly. Every sensation was heightened to a point it had never reached before.
It was a warm ache between your legs that kept getting worse the longer you were wrapped around him. You were worried, what if the wetness between your legs was your moonblood. How insanely embarrassing would that be if you bled on your uncle? You tried to untangle yourself, but he put two firm hands onto your waist and pulled you back in.
The sudden friction between your legs caused you to yelp, a quiet yelp that did not go unnoticed. He paused his steps, glancing at you avoiding his eyes then back at the street to the keep. His lips slowly curled into a smirk only he could wear so well. Aegon didn’t say anything the entire way back home, though a million things were racing through his mind.
The walk home was agonizing, every once in a while, he would move in a way that sent electricity from your core to the depths of your stomach. You didn’t even notice the tiny few whimpers that came from your throat, but he did. Oh, Aegon was noticing it all, every sound, every movement, every look, the warm feeling between your legs that was growing damp across his waist, and it was driving him mad.
He should have been a good little prince and placed you on your bed and left but he had never been a good prince. Aegon wanted to know how far he could take it before you melted beneath him. Obviously, like a good uncle he helped you undress into your night clothes since you were too drunk to do anything.
“Come on, princess. Time to lay down.” You begrudgingly threw yourself onto the bed and rolled onto your back. You couldn’t sleep, your undergarments were uncomfortably wet, and the ache continued to get worse. You obviously couldn’t tell him any of this, so you laid there, suffering.
Unexpectedly Aegon climbed into bed he was on top of you, his knee moved to press in between your legs and your eyes widened from their half-lidded state. “Are you okay, niece? You look… frustrated.” His face was plastered in fake concern, though you couldn’t tell. You clenched your legs together trying to prevent him from moving. “I-I’m fine,” Aegon moved his knee to rub against your core just once, your legs unconsciously tightened around him. “U-uncle,” you stuttered out in a near whimper.
“If there’s something wrong, I can help you…” He moved his knee into your core, and you bit down onto your lip trying to stifle the sound threatening to come out. Aegon, though a good actor could not hide the glint behind his eyes. He leaned into you, pulling your lip out from your teeth with thumb. “I can show you what helps me feel better.”
He whispered lowly, you didn’t have time to think, or reply before his lips were connecting to yours. The taste of sweet mead filling your mouth. You attempted to push him back, tell him no, this was wrong, and you could get in so much trouble. But the feeling of his legs between yours was easing whatever plagued you.
He slipped his tongue down your throat and entangled it with your own. The feeling of need was becoming too much so you moved your hips, finally. A soft moan forced itself out of your throat as you desperately tried to move against, aching for something you didn’t understand. A few tears slipped from your eye wetting his cheek.
Aegon chuckled into your mouth before pulling back, you whined at the loss of both his lips and his knee. The throbbing feeling between your legs became increasingly worse every second he wasn’t there. “It aches, doesn’t it?” Your face flushed red as your eyes bore into him, the true image of innocence laid out beneath him.
His hand traveled from your cheek to the hem of your dress bunched up at the ends of your thighs. Aegon slipped his hand underneath the fabric and hovered over your cunt. You grabbed his hand and stopped his movements, “N-no we can’t.” He cocked an eyebrow, “why not? You hurt and I’m the only one who can fix it.” Your grip on his hand slowly relented, “but i-it’s inappropriate.”
Aegon forced his hand forward so he could cup your cunt. It was completely soaked and so needy for release, how could he stop? “No, it’s not. I’m your uncle and it’s my job to take care of my sweet niece.” You bit your lip in contemplation, the feeling of his palm on your clit made you want to cry. It was too much, the feeling in your core was too much. “Please, Aeg.”
He crushed his lips into yours forcing all the breath out of your lungs. His fingers slid up and down your slit collecting your wetness on his finger. His other hand moved to palm your dress and pinch your nipples beneath your gown. Your moans threatened to echo throughout the keep but he swallowed each one with his lips.
Aegon forced one finger inside your cunt and immediately you clenched around him. Gods, you were so fucking tight he would have to force in the second. Your back arched as he moved his fingers to hit the spongy spot inside. The feeling of your core tightening was overwhelming, tears began to stream from your face and your nails dug into his shoulder.
Your hips moved unconsciously into his hand, pleading for release. His thumb moved to rubbed circles around your clit and all thoughts you had were dumbed down. “A-aeg!” You whimpered into his mouth; the coil tightening was overwhelming all of your senses. The sounds of his fingers pulling in and out of your dripping cunt were filling the room.
“Be a good girl and cum for me, princess.” His movements were faster, harsher and more desperate than before. “P-p-please,” you stuttered out in a loud moan as your legs began to clench around his hand. He growled, dropping his head to the crook of your neck. “Cum on my fingers, baby. That’s right, be a good fucking girl for your uncle.” His fingers curled up and pressed deep into the spongy spot inside you. You felt your cunt clench around him, your core tightening harder than before until the coil broke. Your eyes rolled into the back of your head as your body began to shake and the feeling of ecstasy washed over you.
You crashed, your legs twitching as he continued to move circles around your sensitive clit. Aegon pulled his fingers out and your body mourned the loss of him. He wiped his hand on his clothes and bent his head down to place kisses all over your face. “You did so good, princess.” He spoke in between the pecks he placed on your face.
“Aeg… I’m tired.” Your body was limp, and your eyes began to close on their own. “Shh, go to sleep, princess. I’ll clean you up.” And he did exactly what he said, surprisingly. He took the time out of his night to carefully clean up the mess he made on your body and clothes. It was pathetic to admit but at some point, he came in his trousers, and it was leaking out onto your clothes.
So, he had to change you. Aegon didn’t mind, watching you sleep so peacefully and taking care of his little angel was nice. Especially after what you had given him. He stayed the night, watching you sleep peacefully until the sun rose over the horizon and he scurried into his own room.
It became a horrible routine between the two of you. Aegon convinced you only he could make you feel that way, so you had to come to him if you wanted it. He would always visit at night, though most times you simply stayed inside. He touched you in places that were meant to be forbidden and you came undone beneath him… repeatedly.
You enjoyed him for more than that though. Unlike your brothers or other family, he was always there. Always teaching and showing you exciting new things, making you laugh constantly, showering you with affection you received from no one else. He worshiped you in his own way.
Aegon was completely addicted, and it was going to kill him eventually. If you weren’t awake when he came, he would just sit and watch you sleep, occasionally taking his place besides you. If you were awake, he craved your attention and your body… and he always got it. You were so kind and loving towards him, completely unaware of how others viewed him. You told him you loved him, were proud of him and he was a good man.
No one had ever said those words to him before. It’s why the addiction started and why it had no chance of ending soon. When he was upset you kissed him and whispered words of encouragement. You went out of your way to make him feel happy and deserving of the life he had. And it’s why, for a short time, his behavior started to improve drastically.
It shocked essentially everyone around him, especially his mother. For a moment she was almost proud, maybe her speeches finally got to him, and he was taking being a king seriously. That was before Aegon told her he was only behaving this way so he could prove to Rhaenyra, he deserved you. The situation caused a whole different type of stress for Alicent.
Things were looking up anyway. Especially since your mother had officially started letting you out on your own. You were now a teenager and had to learn some type of independence. The dragon pit was your favorite place even though your mount was a lazy bum.
Plus, you got to spend lots of time in the pit with your uncle and you got to watch him train with the other boys. Of course, a few people noticed the way you watched him and how he watched you. It was kept quiet, as far as anyone knew you had no relationship.
Aegon, thankfully, found enough self-control to not fuck you. To do enough to keep you attached to him but not enough to ruin your innocence completely. It was hard to explain how exactly he felt. It was like he needed you to breathe or eat or do anything. It was bordering on a very unhealthy obsession combined with genuine fondness.
It was new and it was perfect. He was no longer lost in this world with nothing to live for.
Until the day you abandoned him for Dragonstone. He cried, a pathetic and desperate display to his mother asking for her to keep you here. He pleaded for them to just allow you to be wed, he begged to let you stay as her ward. He made promises he probably couldn’t keep but tried, nonetheless.
All he got was sympathy, it was out of her hands completely. The king and his whore sister made the decision to forbid a marriage. They made the decision to let you be sent away to that desolate, rain filled, and droll island. To make it worse the gods decided to spite him and have him betrothed to his own sister.
He almost immediately got worse the second you boarded the ship. Aegon fell right back into his old habits of whoring, drinking and being a massive cunt. The shift was bound to happen so no one was surprised but it was becoming increasingly impossible to keep him under control. Everyone else fell back into their old habits of beating and berating him any chance they got…
Aegon only ever really felt happy again when he drifted off in his sleep. He could feel, touch, hear and smell you again in his dreams. For a few hours every night he was back in your room making stupid jests only you would laugh at. It was like heaven every time he closed his eyes… Then he woke up.
To ease his suffering, he fisted his cock while smelling the clothes you had left behind pretending it was you. If not that he would get drunk and imagine all the ways he could kill your mother and his so, he could steal you away. One day, he would take something from them that they truly loved so they could understand exactly how he felt. For now, he tormented Aemond and did everything in his power to piss his parents off.
Luckily for Aegon and those close to him, Laena Velaryon died in childbirth and his chance to be reunited came sooner than expected. The ride on Sunfyre was one of the best he’s had in ages. It was as if he could sense who they were seeing and was absorbing his rider's excitement. It seems important to mention Sunfyre has a fondness of your she-dragon who he may or may not have tried to breed on several occasions.
The funeral was fucking boring. He didn’t know anyone there and didn’t really care either. Aegon spent most of the time ignoring the speech and scanning the crowd for your little form. He didn’t find you, so he fled into a corner with his wine and brother close on his tail.
Your mother was stalking about staring at Daemon, Helaena was mumbling riddles to herself while playing with a bug, the bastards were comforting the Velaryons, and Aemond was on his left half asleep. Where in the seven hells was his little princess? As the sky began to cover itself in a shade of gray, he spotted you.
For a sliver of a second he was overjoyed, he dropped his wine and stood up straight preparing to walk over. The crowd began to dissipate and on your right was a young Velaryon boy with his arm wrapped around you showing off whatever was in his hands. His eye twitched and his firsts unconsciously bawled up til his knuckles turned white. Aemond peeked over and scoffed, “it’s a waste of time.”
“I’m gonna kill him.” Aemond rolled his eyes and slumped back into the wall. His obsession with the bastard was beyond him but everything his brother does is beyond him. Aegon spent the rest of his funeral staring daggers into the boys next to you. He was making you laugh and touching you far too much for his liking. Jealousy, rage, hate, hurt, Aegon couldn’t put a name to everything that was boiling inside his stomach, but it was too much. You hadn’t even fucking glanced in his direction the entire night.
It is rumored by the maesters later that night King Aegon took his first life by feeding an unsuspecting boy to his dragon. Others claim the boy simply drowned in the high tide that night and was washed away to sea. The body was never found so no one truly knows… Aemond, personally and wholeheartedly believed his brother pushed the boy into the water and let him sink. Driftmark no matter how you looked at it was a terrible night for all involved.
The hour of the bat, a time of night you learned to love dearly was now a time of loneliness. Dragonstone was incredibly terrible especially since your uncle was nowhere in those walls. You were severely depressed to say the very least. You knew he was coming today and wanted to seek him out but failed to find him.
It didn’t stop you from sneaking out at night in a very desperate search for him. It took around twenty minutes for you to weasel your way through Driftmark to his supposed chambers. You ran full force into Aemond on the way which made you both fall to the ground. He was going to try and claim that damned dragon you saw him watching her all day and you were going to reunite with your uncle-lover. Both of you would be in the deepest shit known to man if anyone found out.
So, a silent pact was made to tell no one where either was going. You knew it was a real deal because he helped you off the floor and nodded his head in the direction of the room you were trying to find. ‘Good luck,’ you whispered quietly as you both scurried off in opposite directions.
Much to your dismay he was passed out drunk. You had to literally shake him awake. “Aeg… Aegon!” You climbed on top of him and shook his shoulders. He moaned, groaned, tried to push you away but you were determined. “Wake up! We don’t have all night.” You swore you saw his ears perk up like a dog. His eyes opened and he shot up in bed nearly knocking you off.
“You!” He grabbed ahold of your face, squishing your cheeks in his hands. “Yes, it’s me! Where the hell have you been all day?” Aegon looked offended and almost betrayed, “where have I been? Watching you swoon over some Velaryon cunt.” You scoffed, “watching me? I looked for you all day! I had to give up and talk to a cousin I barely knew.”
His eyebrows furrowed together, “if you barely knew him then why was he all over you?” You grabbed his face, “if you paid any attention, I was trying to escape him the entire time.” Hm, he could have been blinded by jealousy and didn’t notice you politely backing away and avoiding the kid’s eyes completely. He thought you were acting shy and coy, but this made sense.
“You still love me?” He did this more often while drunk. If he ever felt insecure his blue eyes would turn pale and start to water. His lips puffed out slightly and he bore into your soul begging for consolation. You knew the quickest way to make his fears go away.
You pressed a kiss on his lips, trying to drink away all of his fears. Aegon pulled your face as close as possible, sucking all the air from your lungs. Your lips danced around each other passionately trying to make up for the time apart.
“I still love you, Aeggy.” You murmured into his lips; a faint grin formed on his mouth. With his eyes half lidded he whispered, “prove it to everyone then.” You chuckled softly; a soft look of confusion plastered on your features. “How do we do that?” His hands slipped down to your waist, then to your thighs rubbing them slightly. “Give me all of you before they take you away.”
There was a deafening pause in both of your movements. The amount of trouble you would both get into would be life altering. Losing your maidenhood to someone who you weren’t wed to was a sin, a crime even. “So, you don’t really love me. You don’t even trust me enough with yourself.”
It felt like a sword was plunged through your heart. Of course, you loved him. Of course, you wanted to give him everything. “T-that’s not-” he released his hold on your thighs and ripped his face away from yours. “Get out.” You grabbed his hands and tried to pull them back to you, “Aegon please this isn’t-” His eyes turned dark, his hands were ripped out of your grasp. “Don’t lie to me. You used me and now you’re discarding me just like everyone else.”
Tears began to prickle at the corner of your eyes. You never ever used him; you loved him with all your heart. There was never another person who made you feel the same way he did. “Please, I love you,” your lips trembled while you spoke. “I don’t love you.”
You shook your head no, no, no, no, no, your entire world came crashing down at once. The sword in your heart ripped it in half. Your breath quickened and your arms began to shake. The tears that threatened to fall came pouring out of your eyes. “Please- pleas- I love you- please- you can have it- anything you want please don’t leave me.” Your cries were near incoherent.
He was evil, this was the absolute proof of it. Aegon knew he was lying to have you; he knew exactly what hold he had over you and did it anyway. You just couldn’t understand, if he took your maidenhead, you could be together forever. He wasn’t just doing this for himself, it was for both of your sakes. It was blisteringly obvious he would never stop loving you.
“Shh, don’t cry, I’m sorry.” He pulled you into his chest and combed his slender fingers through your hair. “We’re going to be together forever, okay? I'm never leaving you.” He lifted your chin up so you were looking at him. Even when you cried you were the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. “Let me show you how much I love you.” You nodded your head desperately.
It took minutes before you were laid out flat on the bed. He lifted your legs over his shoulders and buried his tongue inside your core. It was new and the pleasure was radiating throughout your body faster than before. Aegon swirled his tongue in circle around your clit as he brutally fucked you with his fingers.
Your hips bucked up to meet his face and he growled a response. The vibrations sent waves of heat through your veins. Your thighs clenched around his head as your orgasm began to wash over you, far quicker than ever before. You cried out at the feeling of the coil coming undone in your stomach. You could feel his lips form into a smile, he placed kisses onto your sensitive clit causing you to whimper. It wasn’t over, he had just started.
Aegon pulled away and you whined at the loss of his heat on top of you. Then you heard the sound of his trousers being pulled off, you looked away out of politeness. “Don’t be shy, baby. It’s all yours.” You pulled your head off of the pillow and your eyes widened. Aegon was thick, incredibly thick and you couldn’t imagine how that was going to fit inside you.
His tip was a bruising pink, and you could see his seed already beginning to leak out. It looked painfully hard as his veins popped out. He climbed on top of you without a moment's notice and rubbed himself against your dripping slit. “Aegon,” you whined as he teased your entrance.
Aegon leaned down and pressed his lips against yours. He prodded your entrance, “just be a good girl for me. It will only hurt for a second, I promise.” You tried to open your mouth to reply but an incredibly loud scream escaped your lips as he slowly began forcing himself inside. “Gods, you’re so fucking tight,” he groaned under his breath.
The sensation of being filled to the brim made your eyes roll into the back of your head. Aegon moved painfully slowly, thrusting himself in and out of you. You moaned incoherently as his tip pushed into that spot inside of you. What started out as pain was quickly turning into pleasure.
You wanted him deeper inside you, you needed him to fill you completely. Your legs wrapped around his waist, and you pulled him into you. He moaned as your cunt swallowed his length entirely. “So needy for my cock, princess.” You whimpered breathlessly underneath him, “please Aegon.” He moved his hand to cup your face, so you were staring at him. Your eyes were blown out in desire and your face was flushed a deep shade of red.
It was as if Aphrodite was underneath him begging for him to fuck her. “That’s a good girl begging for me.” His thrusts started to become faster, and your mind began going numb. Your cunt clenched around him as your eyes welled with tears. “Yes! uncle, please. Please!” You stuttered between moans and whimpers.
His lips crashed into yours stifling your moans as he forced himself deeper inside you at a bruising pace. His cock pounded against your cervix and not even his lips could fully swallow your moans. You wrapped your arms around his neck and dug your fingers into his shoulders. “Fuck baby, you’re so perfect for me.” Aegon’s praise made you whimper for more.
His cock was throbbing inside you, his seed threatening to spill at any moment. “My good girl,” he moaned into your ear, putting emphasis on ‘my’. Your entire body was going limp beneath him. The friction of his skin rubbing against your clit caused you to start coming undone.
“Aeg- aegon- please cum for me.” He never expected those words to pour from your mouth like a carefully constructed melody. Aegon dipped his head into the crook of your neck and began to whine as you clenched around him. As your core began to tighten you moaned a symphony, “I love you, I love you, I love you-”
Aegon picked up his pace, brutally fucking you with every ounce of energy he had. You felt the heat in your core turn into a fire as ecstasy started to wash over you. Your cunt clenching hard trying to drain every ounce of him.
The door slammed open “My Prince! It’s urgent-” Both of your heads shot to the entrance, staring at the mortified king’s guard whose eyes were boring into you. Oh, you were completely fucked.
Silence, the walk to the grand hall of Driftmark was completely silent. The guard behind you refusing to make eye contact with either of you. You could barely walk straight; your body was sore, and wetness was dripping down your legs.
All you could do right now was pray to the gods he didn’t snitch. Your hair was a mess, sweat was glistening on your faces, your night clothes were a mess, Aegon probably had your juices still on him, your cheeks were flushed a bright red and your lips were bruised… you were done for.
Although, as you entered the hall you noticed everyone else looked far worse than you. You noticed your brother’s bloody faces first and rushed over to them. Aegon immediately wanted to die the second you left his side. He wasn’t concerned at all; this was meant to be found out about.
Except, why now of all fucking nights. His brother had been maimed by your bastard brothers and his mother was in a frenzy. All he could do was stare at him in shock, the feeling of guilt washing over him. Aegon should have been there for Aemond, he should have saved him.
He glanced at you and your brothers were looking at you in disgust. Even when you reached out to comfort them, they pushed you away. Bastards, vile disgusting bastards.
It only got worse from there. Your mother came rushing in, obviously after fucking her uncle. He wanted to laugh, like mother like daughter. His mother was frantic demanding for justice, Rhaenyra screeching bullshit and you tucking yourself behind everyone.
Then the question was asked. “Aegon! Where were you?!” He didn’t even get a chance to reply before the king’s guard swooped in to make matters worse. “He was in his room, your grace… with the princess.” His head nodded towards you, and you looked absolutely mortified.
He should have waited to take it, he should have never made you do anything. Everyone in the room stared at you, just you. It took mere seconds for Rhaenyra to see exactly what had happened, only fueling her fury. Alicent, on the other hand, looked even more upset. The slap she so harshly laid across his face echoed throughout the room, completely silencing it.
There would be no justice since he had chosen the perfect day to defile the king’s favorite grandchild and his sister’s favorite child. You should hate him; you should want him dead. “Who told you these lies boy?” His father’s voice was filled with venom. “Aegon.” His father’s eyes turned dark as he tried to limp his way over to him.
“That’s not true! I told him… both of them.” A soft, quiet voice from the other side of the room caught everyone’s attention. You were defending him against the wrath of your family when he had just quite possibly ruined your reputation. If his obsession was bad, then it definitely got a thousand times worse at that moment.
Everything that happened after that was a complete blur. Insults were thrown, threats were laid out, his mother pulled a knife on his sister, and you fled the scene with your head down. It was like a fucking fever dream that didn’t seem to end.
It got worse the next day. The verbal assault he received from his mother was one for the history books. As was the slap that turned into a giant bruise on his cheek. Aegon was absolutely banished from ever talking, touching, or breathing near you. Any attempt at reaching out would immediately be cut down. His father said nothing of it, probably realizing his mistake in not wedding you sooner. Even Aemond, who should have despised him, forgave him.
It didn’t matter what they thought, he loved you, he wanted you, he needed you, and he was going to fucking have you. Aegon realized several things that night. You needed to be saved from your family as quickly as possible. The bastards and his whore sister needed to die sooner than late. Lastly, he was going to become king no matter what he did.
You were forbidden from ever speaking to Aegon again. It was awkward to say the least when you had to tell your mother everything. She should have been mad, hit you, yelled at you but she only hugged you when you cried. Your mother knew you didn’t tell anyone you were bastards. She knew you wouldn’t lose your maidenhead unless you truly believe they loved you. However, it was a secret that you could never ever tell anyone else.
You can never repeat what you said that night, but it was okay, you only wanted to protect who you loved. She explained how Aegon was taking advantage of you and men lie to get what they want. They prey on innocent girls, pretend to love them to get what they want, then discard them. Your mother repeatedly told you it wasn't your fault for your kind heart. She stated it was her own failure for not protecting you from it.
You didn’t truly believe it was all lies, at least, not all of it. It didn’t really matter now, he was gone forever, and you were alone on Driftmark.
Until you and your family would have to return to King’s Landing, five years later.

“Somewhere in Beast-Yeast, hidden behind a shimmering veil, stands the Faerie Kingdom—a kingdom that began with but one Cookie. Elder Faerie Cookie has walked this Earthbread for eons, standing at the very core of countless cycles of birth and destruction that have shaped this world. Only hushed whispers of his origins are passed down as legends. His sole purpose is to contain the ancient and malevolent forces that threaten to escape at any moment. His will and power are imbued within the seal—a vital source of life for the Silver Tree to grow. Little do Cookies know that the age of peace and prosperity they enjoy is owed to Elder Faerie Cookie's tireless effort.”
As the elder cookie finishes little cookies surrounded him making face of awe including a [H/C] cookie who's eyes we're sparkling with amazement, soon enough another elder cookie came in “alright little ones enough stories for the day” she said with her usual Stoic face.

This just fell out of me, team. I hope you enjoy it!
--
Steve’s wearing a sunhat.
Billy spots it on his tromp down the front steps, a nondescript canvas bag balled and clutched in one hand like wilted butcher’s paper, and thinks it could be a dinner plate on top of Harrington’s quaff. A trick of the early morning light slotting an obvious hole in the world.
It’s a sunhat, though.
The bag crinkles in Billy’s fist. Its folds and edges could draw blood. He tugs Steve’s passenger door open with his free hand and settles into the cab. Catches his breath. Says, “Why are you dressed like that?” When Steve only stares at him.
“We’re going to the Farmer’s Market,” Steve says. “It’s a special occasion.”
They go to the Farmer’s Market every weekend, Billy doesn’t say. Since March, stretching all the way to last summer; off and on while Billy settled into it like a drowned cat, Steve eventually snapping, “We can do this,” Hands on his hips. Jars of pickled vegetables fresh from his little tote bag, glittering on Billy’s kitchen counter. “We can have this.”
“Non FDA regulated vegetables?” Billy had asked, grinning when Steve flushed, turning to dump Billy’s half of the loot into the refrigerator.
Billy never asked what ‘this,’ meant. What they could have. Thinks he has a decent idea.
“You didn’t need to put a fuckin’ hat on,” Billy says now. Didn’t need to wear that hat. Particularly.
He’s cute, though. Younger, where its wide, formless brim hides the salt and pepper that’s been slinking up Steve’s temples for the last couple of years, reminding Billy of the decades that rest like rain slickers on their backs. Floppy hats on their heads.
“It’s supposed to be in the low hundreds today.”
“It’s seven-thirty, pretty boy.”
“I’m not taking any chances,” Steve says. He throws the car into reverse, but really it’s more a gentle nudge of the gear-shift until the car rolls with gravity into the street. Harrington always driving like a fifty year old man long before he was one. “I read an article that sunscreen isn’t enough anymore,” Steve says bluntly.
“Isn’t enough to what? Keep you celibate?” Billy digs around in his jeans pocket for his cigarettes. The white lighter that Steve had had an aneurysm over when he first saw it.
“No, to stop skin cancer. These days, how the Baby Boomers fucked up the Ozone, you’ve gotta wear sleeves, and sunscreen, and sunglasses, and fuckin’, sunhats,” Steve yanks the lighter out of Billy’s hand before he can spark up. Ignores the punch Billy lands on the one that came, fresh from 1993, with the car.
America used to be a country. Smoking used to be good for you.
Steve shoots him a side-ways glance, as if reading his mind. “You’re gonna kick rocks at sixty, Bill. Way you smoke.”
“They don’t make sun hats for lungs yet,” Billy says. The car lighter pops free so he snags it, waiting patiently for the hot-plate coil to catch his cig. When it does, he puts it back. Inhales slowly, peering out the window as the early morning shoots by at 30 miles per hour, a dying star.
He can feel Steve watching him. Now. Always.
“You could stop,” Steve says softly. “Smoking. You’re still young.”
Billy snorts. “Yeah, and you could mind your business.”
“Fuck you, you are my business.”
Billy’s stomach flips. He’s surprised, still, that his guts aren’t knotted and non-functional after all this time. Decades of friendship; career changes and new houses, new wives that slip steadily into ex wives. Kids. One kid. Billy’s. Decades of Steve, worrying about Billy’s diet and nagging at his bad habits, and. Saying shit like that. Flipping Billy’s stomach over on itself.
Billy puffs on his cigarette, rolling his eyes when Steve coughs dramatically into one elbow. He blows a huge cloud, just to be an asshole.
“Dude,” Steve says, leaning away so the car jerks suddenly to the left.
Billy yelps, jostling against his seatbelt, “Harrington, you’re driving.”
“This is your lungs on nicotine,” Steve says, “A shitty old car driven by a lunatic middle-aged divorcee. Out of control. Veering into a ditch, or–”
“--It’s just a goddamn cigarette–”
“--With every pack you’re killing babies,” Steve tells him. The next streetlight turns gold. Steve runs it.
Billy hangs on. His heart thumps with every twist and turn of the road. Hawkins races by, a blur of neon green oak trees and dark, supple earth. The grass is burned away in some places. Steve’s ancient car groans in the rising heat, its tires buff their tread against hot pavement.
At the next stoplight, Steve slams on the breaks.
Billy almost flies through the goddamn windshield. He sits back against car seat leather. He breathes through his nose, counting to ten before he realizes that he’s covered in cigarette ash. His cigarette isn’t lit anymore.
Steve watches him evenly, soulful brown eyes calm.
Too calm.
Billy frowns. “What the fuck is going on with you, man?”
Steve shrugs.
“It’s just a cigarette,” Billy presses forward, turning in his seat to give this his full fledged fucking attention. “You’re acting like you did when I was moving back home and you thought you couldn’t ask to come. Right before you broke Tommy Hagan’s nose when he said–”
“I know what that asshole said, I’m fifty, not a hundred,” Steve snaps. “I’m not acting like anything.”
“Yeah,” Billy says, shifting, “Yeah, you are. Like that time Alice wouldn’t let you come visit because she was doing that bullshit Home for 40 Days thing after Serena was born,” Billy tells him. He watches Steve’s face. Notices the crack before it happens because they’ve been friends for decades.
It hurts him. “Steve–”
“I asked to come eventually,” Steve says, voice soft as feather down, neglecting to mention that he didn’t stay in California. “You moved back after the divorce. When Alice–”
“The light’s green,” Billy says.
“I’m fine,” Steve tells him. “It’s fine.” He breathes through his nose, pawing at the brim of his dorky sun hat like he forgot it was there, for a moment. Like he wants to rip it off.
Suddenly, with the force of a riptide, Billy misses the wave of Steve’s hair, still impossibly thick even into their middle age. He wants the hat gone, the sun free of all its massive danger.
“I won’t smoke anymore,” Billy says, “If you want me to stop, I will.”
The moment hangs between them, and then, behind, someone honks.
“I want you to live forever,” Steve admits. Soft. Sweet.
Billy almost breaks in half. Isn’t sure why they’re talking about this now, in a car, on their way to the Market. But that’s what happens when you get older. Every moment like an oak leaf on the wind, slipping like water through clenched fists.
He frowns, asking, “What about you?” Because. He wouldn’t want to spend forever alone.
“Why else am I wearing a fucking sunhat, Billy?”
Billy’s stomach knots. He opens his mouth to admit that he’s been in love with Steve for forty years, and he’ll always be the kind of man who burps and says the wrong thing and pushes too hard and smokes cigarettes, but.
He loves him.
Steve waits. When the second honk comes, he turns away, pulling his shitty old car onto Menard Street without another word.
Billy swallows love, the movement as familiar to him as their friendship. It tastes like cigarette smoke. He tosses his unlit fag out the window, feeling like the shit hole scum of the earth when Steve reports that 30% of wildfires start with a carelessly discarded cigarette.
There’s a drought, too, Billy doesn’t say.
He should’ve thought it out. But it’s Steve. He only wanted to suck the wound.
–
Steve’s been twitchy for as long as Billy’s known him. It’s worse when he has something to say, when the skeletons in his closet regrow their ligament to stand on knocking knees, banging on the door, asking for an escape.
Billy’s been around long enough to know that it’s best not to push, even when that’s all he does, all he’ll ever do. But. When it comes to Steve Harrington, things are different. Always.
“What should we do first,” Billy asks. Knowing Steve’ll talk when he’s ready.
Harrington parks his car, the last in a long line of hybrids and hatchbacks, near the edge of the park. “I’m looking for honey,” He says, voice pulled tight like an out-of-tune string instrument. In a hurry. One wrong stroke and he’ll snap.
“‘Kay,” Billy says.
He doesn’t know what to do with his hands once they’re out of the car. He resists the urge to lick his palm for a breath check, knowing he’ll find coffee and burnt toast and filmy pink love; tries to stop himself from tucking his shirt into the waist of his jeans, unfurling into the type of man that stops smoking and goes to Farmer’s Markets every weekend because his best friend asks him to. Against all odds.
Billy trots with Steve over the hill and into the market, his heart in his throat. They find the honey booth quickly and wait in line together, Steve tapping out an impatient rhythm on the cobblestone.
“You’re so squirrely today,” Billy says. He claps a hand on Steve’s neck, trying to squeeze out the tension. Wanting to touch him.
Steve shrugs him off.
Dick.
Billy rolls his shoulders and crosses his arms for safe keeping, having learned long ago that his hands will gravitate to Steve Harrington if given the chance. Billy aches for a cigarette, squints into the strengthening sunlight, yearning for his sunglasses, sunscreen, a sun hat–
“Lot of Pride Flags,” Billy says gruffly. His palms sweat, tacking unhelpfully to the hair on his forearms. It’s like he blinked, came up for air, and Indiana got progressive.
Steve stiffens next to him, “It’s June first, I think,” He says, hiding something.
“No shit?” Billy turns just in time to catch Steve watching him, a weird look in his eyes. “Should call Serena this afternoon.”
“Let’s go lesbians,” Steve says, a soft, pink smile on his face.
Billy wants to ask about Robin, even though he just spoke to her on Wednesday when she called to demand how he keeps his tomato plants blooming into November. He wants to grab Steve by the face and say see, I’m alive. I’m here. I have a garden, and a daughter, and Robin remembers how I used to drink shitty Miller Lite and blast Elton John when you went out with girls. She remembers how much I wanted you. I would carve your name into every piece of driftwood that I threw into the quarry because my skin would scar over. Useless. Old and bereft while the driftwood would float forever, dissolving into the earth with your name sheathed in its very matter, bright and evergreen—
Steve buys two jars of honey.
He buys two of everything, at the Market, one for himself. One for Billy. Billy tries not to think about it.
“Where should we go next,” Steve makes room in the folds of his bag for the first of their loot.
Billy only ever buys books at this thing. He raises one eyebrow, sidestepping a pair of lesbians that send a shock of tenderness down his spine. Heather and Robin in ‘87. He bites his tongue, though, thinking through their usual haunts. “What about the corn booth?”
Steve loves sweet corn. He’s a cliche, shrugging his shoulders, “Could do that. We could try something else, too.”
Billy looks at him, grinning, “Okay, what do you have in mind?”
“Well. We started with honey.”
“Yeah.”
“The bakery booth is supposed to be out this week, I heard.” Steve hasn’t shut up about the orange-cranberry muffins he got on a lunch break two weeks ago. He shrugs, thinking better of it. Feigning nonchalance. Billy would fall for it if they hadn’t known each other for years. “Or we could go to the book stand,” Steve says.
Dangling hope in the starched summer air.
Billy startles a laugh, “Already? We haven’t done your grocery shopping for the week.”
“It’s hot, we don’t have to stay long,” Steve says, watching the crowd thrall around them, “You deserve something for coming out with me today.”
“I come out with you every weekend.”
Steve groans, “C’mon, I’m trying to be nice. Either we go to the book stand, or we’re getting muffins.”
“I’m trying not to eat so much sugar,” A blonde boy skitters into the Market lane, turning to grin past the swell of Billy’s shoulder. There’s a pride flag painted on his cheek bone, smeared delicately by the slide of lips. Billy tries to look away, “Gluten, either.”
Steve gapes, “So you’re not eating sugar or gluten anymore but you’ve never met a cigarette you didn’t like?”
The blonde waits in the sunlight, fingers stretched out in front of him until a boy with huge, soft brown hair knits into all his boyfriend’s empty spaces.
They kiss.
Billy looks at Steve, flushed.
Steve holds his gaze. Finally, “Let’s go to the book stand,” He says, catching Billy off guard. Throwing him a bone.
–
Hawkin’s Public Library was forced, a screaming, tantrum filled child, into the new millennium about a month after Billy and Alice divorced and Serena told the judge she wanted to move back home to Indiana.
To be with Uncle Steve. That’s what she’d said to the judge. “Daddy and me want Uncle Steve,” Billy had noticed how Alice went ram-rod straight at the name. Like she always did, sour by the way Billy and their daughter, both, couldn’t seem to live without him. “We want to go home.”
So, they went. Alice didn’t try to stop them.
Really, home in the textbook sense was always California. Serena was born in Long Beach. She could stand on a surfboard by the time she was two years old and she abhorred the winter, any item of clothing that sat too close to the base of her neck. The smell of barley. None of that mattered, in the long run.
Hawkins was home to her. Their clumsy, earnest, well loved vernacular to the court’s stuffy, clinical language.
It didn’t matter to Serena that Indiana was a relic in Billy’s history. She had never moved past sleepy summers spent landlocked, running through sprinklers with Max and Lucas’ wheat-fed kids and eating bomb pops in the swimming pool with a slew of found family aunts and uncles, her halo of blonde ringlets crunchy from too much chlorine.
Even into her adolescence, the only person she let brush her hair straight out of the pool was her Uncle Steve. The only person she cried to was Uncle Steve. The adult she loved most in the world, except her dad. Maybe.
Billy’s own memories of that time were worn thin. Throbbing with heartache, like a damsel who was bound to find her way back home at the end of some terrible, cruel romantic comedy. He ached on the plane ride to Hawkins. Burned when they moved into the new house. Crumbled as he slept alone every night, grateful in tiny, hidden places that Serena had seemed to process her parent’s divorce and their subsequent move across the country before the first box had been unpacked.
For Billy, things weren’t so easily digested.
He needed time to let the guilt swallow him. The sting of hurt to lick at his fingers. Alice and the tattered flag of their loveless marriage paled in comparison to the way Steve had slipped wordlessly into her place.
It almost killed Billy that they were happier, here. That neither one of them had tried to hold on to their life back in California.
–
Point is, they used to take Serena to the library together.
Billy’s own mom had believed that books were the key to everything. Children learn by watching colorful characters trail their way through the hills and valleys of friendship. They’re introduced to death and loss in the fold of a page, the monochrome glint of words on yellowing cardstock. They learn to let go by watching someone else do it first.
Really, Serena hadn’t needed the library. Even at that age she was more level-headed than Billy had been in his entire life, but Steve suggested they go, anyway. “We have to raise a reader, like you.” He’d said. As if Billy was the best thing a person could be.
We.
We have to raise a reader.
–
Hawkins Library sells used books at the Farmer’s Market these days. Budget and funding cuts forcing their hand, Billy caught in a violent spell of fifty-cent paperbacks.
The memory of Serena holding Steve’s hand, trailing excitedly down every aisle. Even the grown-up ones. Scowling when Steve would snatch every book from her hand, spitting they were, “inappropriate for little girls, Serena.”
Demanding to know when she’d be old enough to read anything with vampires in it.
Billy smiles at the memory, heart fluttering as Steve trails in front of him now in his dorky sun hat, calloused fingers dancing over the spines of every book on the Memoirs shelf.
Without his salt and pepper showing, and if Steve’s face wasn’t furled in concentration so that his laugh lines gouged deeper into the split around his mouth; Steve looks the same as he always has.
Billy side-steps another pair of lesbians, running head-first into the LGBTQIA+ Romance section. His heart thuds. He looks around, trying to catalog this territory. Pride flags, Cher playing over a pill-sized bluetooth speaker.
The portable shelf has a flier stuck to it. A disco ball with rainbow streamers falling like wet rags from the words Hawkins Community GSA Presents: Queer Prom. Get Your Tickets at the Booth!
Billy turns, heart in his throat. He watches Steve mouth along to the back of whatever book he’s holding. Catches sight of some president, or something, staring nobly through the break of Steve’s fingers.
Some twink, sandwiched between the next row of shelves, laughs, and Steve looks up. Catching Billy. He deposits the memoir back on the shelf. “You drug me all the way over here and you haven’t even looked at anything.”
Billy swallows the lump in his throat. “What’s going on, Steve?”
“I don’t know–”
Billy rips the flier from the book shelf, thrusting it into Steve’s wide, waiting palms.
Steve mouths along to the words. Like he did with the memoir. Like he always has, with the instructions on Betty Crocker Cake Boxes, and the confusing swirl of the How To’s for little girl’s play sets, stretching all the way back to the spring of 1985 when he would pay Billy in saccharine smiles to read Kafka out loud. Write Steve’s essays for him.
“Huh,” Steve flushes bright pink across the bridge of his nose. “Get your tickets at the booth,” He says, artfully avoiding Billy’s gaze, “Cool idea. The instructions aren’t very clear, though, there’s so many booths–”
“You said today was a special occasion,” Billy accuses flatly. It’s getting harder to breathe. “You said you weren’t acting weird, but you’re acting weird, and I–”
“--Will you go to prom with me?” Steve says. Then, Immediately, “I don’t want to freak you out.”
Billy snatches the flier back from him, shaking all over.
“Okay, alright,” Steve swallows, fingers splayed like Billy’s a junkyard dog who’s backed into a corner. Who’ll attack any minute now. “Look, I just. I thought if I was gonna grow a pair of balls, like. If I was ever gonna do this, I should do it here.”
That doesn’t make sense. Nothing makes sense.
Steve inches closer, his lined, aging, familiar, beautiful face open like a sunroof. Like a hole in the sky. “Billy,” Steve says, “Ever since I met you–”
“--What the fuck is going on–”
“--Stop, okay? Just. Let me say this?” Steve waits, patiently, for a confirmation. Billy doesn’t move or breathe or blink. Steve presses forward, “Ever since I met you when I was seventeen years old I thought. You were someone I could spend the rest of my life with.”
Someone exhales all the wind in their lungs. Billy.
Steve bristles at the sound. He pulls inward, seeming to notice that people are looking at them over the bookshelves with the kind of intensity that puts a basketball court under Billy’s feet. That reminds him of how Steve would defend Billy to the world before he got better.
Before he was worth anyone’s love.
“So,” Steve lifts a hand to his forehead before realizing he’s still in the sun hat. He takes it off, “I had a speech,” He tells the sun hat, folding the brim between two fingers. Hair a mess but still perfect. “Do you wanna hear it?”
“I think I’ll pass out,” Billy admits earnestly.
“I’d catch you,” Steve says, so. Billy takes a timid step forward, flinching out of his skin when Steve looks up and says, “I’m in love with you.”
Once upon a time, Billy thought the world would collapse if they said those words out loud.
It doesn’t.
“So,” Billy rasps, wringing the flier in his fist, “You thought. You could ask me to prom?”
“We didn’t get to go to prom when we were kids.”
“You went with Nancy,” Billy snaps, strangling the flier. “You danced. I watched you dance–”
“--We didn’t get to go together.”
“You wanted to go to prom with me?”
“Of course. Billy, I moved to California because I was in love with you.” Steve says, like just saying it out loud points to the bread-crumb trail of what they’ve been dancing around for all these years. Like ah-ha. Checkmate.
Billy sniffs. Something wet on his cheeks. “You left California.”
“Because I was in love with you.” Steve nods slowly, “You. You met Alice, and. I thought–”
“--I can’t go to gay prom with you, Steve.”
He doesnt even bat an eye, used to Billy’s flair for the dramatic. “Why not?”
“Because,” Billy says, looking around desperately. All he finds are lesbians and twinks weaving in and out of the aisles, caught in their own little crystal-clear worlds, useless. “Because I’m in my fifties. And so are you.”
“The event is all ages,” Steve tells him, bored, “Well. Really it’s for old people. Because we never got to have one.”
And.
The fact that Steve went to prom with Nancy, that he bought flowers and pinned a satin pink corsage to her dress, holding her hand while they danced under seafoam lights, but it wasn’t what he wanted.
Who he wanted–
Billy sniffs. Trying to stamp out the fire in his chest. “I have a mortgage and and a tomato garden, and a daughter in New York–”
“--This was Serena’s idea,” Steve admits suddenly. “She’s the one who sent me the information on Facebook.”
Of course.
Billy nods, “You’re wearing a sunhat.” His chest, opening like a springtime rose. Stupid. “You can’t say you love me and then ask me to prom when you’re wearing–”
“I took it off,” Steve says. A smile in his voice.
“I stopped smoking for you,” Bill accuses.
Steve snorts, “Like you aren’t gonna finish the pack first.”
Billy laughs, and it’s wet-sounding. It rattles in his chest and then bursts into the air between them, somehow pulling Steve across the cobblestone. He pushes Billy’s hair back from his face, fiddling with the same earring that’s been there for forty years. Changed only once, for prom.
Billy looks at him. Catalogs the years, the love that grew like ivy over everything else. He hiccups, “I never thought you’d love me back.”
“Of course I love you back.”
“But,” He says, thinking of how their lives could have been so different, “Why–”
“--We can have this,” Steve tells him, pulling Billy close. “We deserve this.”
Another thing Billy will have to settle into.
It’s nice. He wants to kiss Steve, so he does, because Hawkins has turned into the kind of place that hosts gay prom, where lesbians and twinks roam freely in their little rainbow outfits.
Steve licks into Billy’s mouth and they melt into each other, gone soft by the years, and the heat of June. When Steve pulls away, his lips press like stamps to Billy’s forehead, his chin, both eyes, his mustache–
Billy giggles. “We should get our tickets.”
“I already have them,” Steve says.
Billy pulls back, gawking.
“I ordered them online.”
“You know how to order things online?”
“Serena ordered them,” Steve says, shrugging.
And.
Billy grunts. Wanting to say that he could’ve said no. He’s still himself, after all, smoke free organic or not, but. Steve knits their fingers together, “C’mon,” He says, and Billy doesn’t ask where they’re going next. It doesn’t matter.
They’ve been in love since they were seventeen. Billy’s just happy that it gets to live out in the open, now. Glittery with pride.

"No, no, no!" Aegon yelled at his dragon. "Not here, Sunfyre! sōvēs, sōvēs!"
No matter how loud he would scream at his loyal dragon, no matter how strong he would pull the ropes; the beast was reluctant in following his orders.
Sunfyre landed on top of a hill, sighing tiredly while he laid down on the greenest grass Aegon has ever seen. He tried to make him stand up again; pulling the ropes, yelling a thousand commands on High Valyrian, but the golden dragon was not interested in following his words.
“Fuck!” He yelled while reluctantly getting down from his dragon’s back.
He was whispering inappropriate words, and after taking one bad step, he fell onto his back; that did nothing but make him more angry —and ashamed. He cursed the Seven Gods, blaming them for his terrible luck during that day.
Aegon looked around while he was standing on his feet once again, he was trying to see if someone had seen his shameful fall. Luckily for him, no one seemed to be near him, the only thing he could perceive was a bunch of trees and lots of green hills that were covering all the surface of the land.
He walked in front of a sleepy Sunfyre, and he only grew desperate when he saw him closing his eyes. “No, no, no!” He screamed. “Don’t sleep- Fuck!” He looked around, now in despair, “They’re going to find me! Fuck, fuck, fuck!”
The dragon moved his head, hiding it from the stressed man. Aegon brushed his face anxiously, sighing and about to cry for desperation. He kept trying to wake his dragon, but Sunfyre was already snoring softly. He looked like a maniac, feeling that his brother would appear behind his back with his large dragon at any moment now.
“I can’t fucking believe it.” He muttered. "You traitor! How can you do this to me? I thought we were brothers! Now, get up! We have to go-”
"Are you hurt?"
A voice behind his back made him jump out of fear. He quickly grabbed the hilt of his sword, taking it out of his scabbard and turned around, facing the strange girl that came out of nowhere. He pointed at her with the tip of his sword, but she did not even flinch. He was entirely confused about where she came from, just a few minutes ago he turned around to see his surroundings and he never saw her coming. She just appeared by his side.
"Who the fuck are you?" He asked harshly and unkindly, not trusting her.
"You seem lost." She deducted, a small smile formed on her face. "I can help you." She said, but Aegon did not let his guard down. "Is your dragon hurt?"
"No," He quickly answered, as if he was trying to prove his dragon was healthy and ready to fight against any threat, "He is completely healthy, he just decided to be lazy!"
"It's a gorgeous dragon." She said walking towards him. "Can I touch him?"
"I don't think that's a good idea, he can be-"
He stopped himself once he realized she did not listen to his words, instead, she just put one of her hands on the golden scales. Aegon was waiting for a reaction from him, something that might scare her away, but Sunfyre only curled under her touch, as if he was a huge cat instead of a giant and dangerous beast. "What the-"
"It's such a beauty." She commented, completely enchanted by the creature. "I never thought I would live to see one... What's its name?"
"Sunfyre." He answered, feeling odd. "He's a male."
"Oh, so he is a boy!" She said, laughing joyfully. "Look at you, pretty, pretty boy." She whispered to the dragon. "What a sight you are!”
"He's- he's not a boy." Aegon muttered, "He's a dragon male, a big, fearful, scary dragon male."
“He seemed harmless.” She thought.
“He’s not.” He rushed to say. “And I think it is better if you leave him alone. He is not very fond of strangers.”
Aegon walked towards her in order to pull her away from Sunfyre, but the tail of the dragon got in his way without him seeing it. As a result, he ended up tripping and falling on top of the girl, who just gasped out of surprise and then laughed cheerfully while Aegon groaned on top of her.
He frowned, and took his time to see her face carefully for the first time. She was not ugly, she was actually quite far from being ugly; her smile was charming and the way the corner of her eyes wrinkled when she was laughing was just bewitching. Aegon found himself staring at her longer than he should, but the girl under him did not seem to mind. Instead, she looked back at him and saw some scratches on his face, she immediately got worried and with a breathless voice she asked him once again,
“Are you sure you’re not hurt?”
Aegon did not know how, but he ended up in the house of the girl, eating an incredibly delicious soup and with his face completely washed. He had got rid of the dry blood on his face and cleaned his scratches, which he did not even remember how he got.
The house was not big at all, it was more like a cottage not larger than his own room. It was made of wood, the kitchen was in one corner and the bed on the other, the table only had two chairs and it was in the middle of the house. There were lots of plants of every kind and a strong scent of cinnamon and vanilla. Aegon thought it was comfortable and warm, it felt like a home; which was better than living in a huge castle made of stone.
He would rather live there, away from everything.
The door was open harshly and the girl walked in with a bag filled with vegetables and fruits. She was agitated, as if she was running from something, however Aegon did not seem worried about it because she was smiling; she was always smiling.
“I stole a sheep for Sunfyre.” She said, excitedly.
Aegon widened his eyes and choked with the soup. He started coughing while the girl left the bag on the floor. “You did what?” He asked incredulously.
“My neighbor has plenty of them, you don’t have to worry, he won’t even notice!” She explained, moving her hands and trying to play down the situation.
“And why the fuck would you do that?”
“He seemed hungry.” She shrugged.
“Your neighbor?”
“No, your dragon!” She laughed. “I had to run before he would catch me, he’s a fast runner and running up a hill with a sheep on your shoulders is quite hard.”
“You’re fucking mental.” He whispered under his breath, without her hearing him.
He looked at her strangely, following her with his eyes while she was pouring some soup in a small bowl. Then, she sat in front of him and started drinking it. Aegon was still staring at her slightly frowning, he thought she was quite peculiar.
“While you were yelling at your dragon, I heard that you were going somewhere.” She said, “Where were you going? It seemed urgent.”
“You heard that?” He asked, a bit scared. He remembers looking around the place and not seeing anyone.
“I did.” She nodded, “I saw you falling from your dragon too. That was a bit funny.” She chuckled.
“How- Oh, fuck me.” He sighed.
“So, where were you going?”
“I’m not comfortable with sharing that kind of information to someone I just met.” Aegon said, now he was being careful with his words, because he was starting to get a bit scared of her. “I don’t even know your name.”
“I’m y/n!” She replied cheerfully. “What’s your name?”
“Uhm… Aegon.”
“Aegon?” She repeated, her voice tone was more serious now.
Aegon shrink on his seat, and he looked at her expectantly. He thought she would be able to recognize his name, or his not-so-discreet hair. He thought that, once she realizes who he was, she might sell him away in exchange for a couple coins of gold. Instead, she just laughed again.
“It sounds like ‘egg’!” She finally said, Aegon let out a breath of relief.
“No, it doesn’t.” He replied, offended.
“It’s a nice name, though.” She praised, “It’s original, I like it. Aegon, Aegon, Aegon.” She repeated, “Sounds good. Aegon, Aegon-”
“Please, stop.” He said annoyed.
The smile on her face trembled a little. She just cleared his throat and looked down at her soup in order to take her eyes away from him. Aegon felt a bit bad for it, seeing how her smile almost disappeared because of him, however, he did not say anything else. He did not know why he felt bad for her in the first place.
“Well, now that you know my name and I know yours, and we are less strangers for each other,” She took a sip from her soup, “Will you tell me where you were going?”
“Why do you want to know?”
She shrugged, “Just curious.”
Aegon sighed and rolled his eyes. Something inside of him told him that it was a bad idea and he should leave immediately, but the other part of him told him to stay, to be nice to the kind girl that gave him food and shelter, and even stole a sheep for his dragon.
“I was going to Pentos.” He replied.
“Why?”
“You are curious, aren’t you?”
“Just a bit.” She put her index finger against her thumb making a gesture that was cute enough to hinder him.
“I was escaping.” He confessed.
“From whom?”
“My family.” He replied, “My mother, more specifically.”
“Why would you escape from your family, Aegon?” She asked again, and Aegon forced himself to not roll his eyes again.
“They- uhm, they are forcing me to do something I don’t want to do.”
“What thing?”
“Okay, that’s enough.” He raised his voice a little, starting to lose his patience. The girl leaned back, and a small ‘sorry’ escaped from her lips.
Aegon once again felt guilty as the room stayed in silence, and again he did not know why, which was a bit frustrating for him. She started to eat her soup quietly while he just looked at her, trying to read through her. That girl was a whole mystery, Aegon has never met someone so peculiar as her.
“How does it feel?” Her voice sounded softer and slower than the times before. Aegon frowned, confused.
“What thing?”
“To have a family.” She said, “I never had one.” She revealed, she tried to smile but Aegon saw the quivering on the corners of her mouth. “I mean- I had my mother, but- uhm, one day she left and I haven’t seen her since then.”
“Well, I can’t tell you nice things about my family. They’re all a piece of shit.”
“At least you have one.”
“I would rather not have one.” He confessed, “You’re all alone and you seem to do pretty well.”
When her smile completely disappeared, he knew he had fucked up once again. A small curse left his lips before starting to apologize, which was something quite odd coming from him.
“I mean- I’m sorry.” He was surprised by how fast he had said those words. He was not used to using them. “I shouldn’t have said that.”
“It’s okay.” She spoke softly, nodding. “I don’t mind.”
She stood up from the table and took the two small bowls with her. Aegon almost complained since he still had some soup left, but he thought he had already said enough. It seemed as if every time he would open his mouth he would hurt her feelings, so he decided to be quiet while he followed her with his purple tired eyes.
He soon stood up too, starting to gather his belongings –which was only his scabbard and a bag with some of his clothes– and getting ready for departure. He took a deep breath, feeling his stomach full and then he said,
“Well, I must thank you for your kindness.” He spoke while she was starting to clean the dishes, “But I must go now.”
She turned quickly, dropping the crockery on the table and wiping her hands with a small cloth. Her eyes seemed to be confused.
“What? You’re leaving so soon?”
“If I leave now I will arrive in Pentos in no time.”
“But- but it’s dark, and Sunfyre is sleeping, I-” She sighed, “I thought you were staying for the night. You should stay.”
“I don’t think it’s a good idea,” He said, “I’ll find some lodging over there, don’t worry.”
“But they’ll make you pay.”
“Well, I’ll have to pay either way if I want to live there.” He deducted with an obvious tone.
“Please, stay the night.” She asked him, “I can make you some good food in the morning so you will have energy to travel… I can steal another sheep for Sunfyre too!”
“But where would I sleep?”
“In the bed!” She pointed at the small bed in the corner of the house. “It’s not so big but it is quite comfortable.”
“Did you steal your neighbor’s sheep to make the cushions?” He joked, and she smiled.
“How did you know?” She asked, genuinely surprised.
“I- I didn’t-” Aegon was taken aback by her answer, and he shook his head. “There’s only one bed.”
“I can sleep on the floor.”
“But you would be uncomfortable.” He surprised himself by his genuine concern.
“But you wouldn’t.” She insisted. “You can leave with Sunfyre on the morrow. He is sleeping now, look at him!”
She pointed through the window and Aegon saw outside, moving the curtain to have a better view. His dragon was sleeping soundly and he sighed, knowing that he would not wake up even if he screamed in his ear. Sunfyre has the same sleep as his owner, which was quite prejudicial in this kind of situation.
He had no other choice but to stay.
The bed was so comfortable that it made him feel as if he was laying on clouds, the mattress would shape his body perfectly and the pillows were so soft and it smelled good. It was way better than his own bed on the Red Keep, and he knew as soon as he put his body on top of the mattress that it would be the best sleep he would ever have.
The next morning Aegon woke up and felt better than ever. That was probably the best sleep he had ever had in his twenty years of life. He looked around the house now in the daylight, and everything seemed even more cozy than before. He rubbed his eyes and looked at the girl beside the bed still sleeping soundly; he could see a small trace of drool coming from the corner of her mouth.
He stood up and started pacing around the tiny house. He grabbed a carrot from the bag of vegetables and fruits she had brought the prior night and looked through the window to check on Sunfyre. That's when his problems started again.
"No, no, no, no!" He muttered while opening the door in quick and nervous moves. "Fuck! Fuck!"
He got out of the house and started to look around, his dragon was nowhere to be found.
"YOU FUCKING TRAITOR!" He yelled at the skies, throwing the carrot in his hand away and moving desperate around the green fields. "Fuck!"
"Aegon?"
The sleepy girl stood on the door frame, looking at him worryingly. Her eyes were narrowed due to the light of the day, her hair was messy and she walked outside the house barefooted.
"What happened?"
"He fucking left me!" He snapped. "How could he?"
"Who?"
"Sunfyre!" He spoke with an obvious tone, "Don't you see how a large dragon is not in your front yard anymore?"
"I can see that, yes." She nodded calmly, "But perhaps he will come back later, perhaps he got hungry again and went to find something to eat."
"Perhaps that traitor left me!" He said in despair, "How am I supposed to fly to Pentos now? My family will find me here!" He walked closer to her, "I don't even know where I am!"
"You are in the Summer Islands." She replied, "In the south of Dorne."
"South of Dorne?" He asked scandalized, "What the fuck am I doing in the South of Dorne?!"
"I don't think I could answer that."
"I was supposed to be flying to the east! Why am I here?"
"Do you want some tea?" She kindly offered.
Aegon looked at her as if she was insane, has she not heard what he just said?
“I don’t want tea.” He scoffed, “I want my fucking dragon back!”
“You yell too much.” She pointed out, “Perhaps that’s why your dragon left you.” Aegon frowned, offended. “I’ll be inside making food in case you need anything.”
Aegon covered his face with both of his hands and screamed out of rage. He pulled the grass under his feet and started throwing rocks with his hands. He looked like a small child throwing a tantrum. He was too stressed, even a couple of desperate tears came out of his eyes. He was lost in a place he did not even know, without his dragon and with the company of a girl who is partially scary. He started to regret every life decision that had brought him to that place.
Minutes after, when all of his rage started to dissolve from his body, he got into the house again. The girl has already made some food and she had put it on the table for him to eat, Aegon felt the delicious smell reaching his nose and he almost drool for it. It smelled better than anything he had ever smelled before. Then, he thought that, perhaps, staying there until Sunfyre gets back would not be a bad idea at all.
“I’m mad at you.” She said as soon as Aegon crossed the door. He tensed immediately, thinking she would kick him out.
“Why?”
“You ripped my grass.” She sat on the chair and started to eat. “Do you know how long it took me to make it grow?”
For the first time he saw her frowning, and it was not as if he had known her for her entire life, but seeing her making any other expression besides smiling felt wrong. Almost unnatural, actually.
“I’m sorry…” He muttered shyly, sitting in the chair in front of her. “I was a bit mad.”
“A bit?” She asked teasingly. “You yelled at a bird.”
“Why do you always catch me doing foolish things?”
“Why are you always doing foolish things?” She asked back.
“Apparently because I’m a fool.” He started to eat and he immediately hummed pleasantly with the taste. He almost rolled his eyes back. “Look, I’m going to help you fix your grass.”
“How?”
“Well, I can’t go anywhere without my dragon so I guess I will not have any other choice than to stay here until he decides it’s time to come back.” He shrugged, “If you allow me to, of course.”
Aegon saw how she tried so hard to suppress her smile until she finally let it take over her face. She nodded excitedly; she would finally have some company. She would finally not be alone.
“Of course I allow you!” She said with a giant smile, “Besides, I feel this is partly my fault.”
“How so?”
“Well, if I hadn’t insisted on you staying for the night, you would’ve been in Pentos by now.”
“What is done, is done.” He said, “At least I’m eating delicious food.”
She blushed a little and Aegon smiled; that is how it all started.
The first days were not much fun. Aegon had a hard time trying to entertain himself as the girl did not have any type of liquor; the closest thing to that was vinegar, and he could not stand the smell of it. There were not any other women around either, not other animals or anything besides her, her small cottage and the big woods that were behind her home.
So, as a result, he was forced to have conversations with her. At first, he was trying so hard not to get annoyed by her multiple questions, but then he got used to them and instead of being bothered by them, he started to get really comfortable answering them. He would like the fact that she was always genuinely interested in whatever he had to say, and he would also like the fact that he could speak with her for hours without feeling as if he was a nuisance.
Four days were spent like that, until she asked him for some help with her tasks. One morning they woke up and the sky was gray, covered in raging clouds that were warning about a big storm coming.
“Oh, no.” She had said to him, looking at the clouds with worry in her eyes. Aegon turned to her, looking at her frown. “There’s a hole on the ceiling, and I couldn’t fix it the last time it rained. It was a disaster!”
“I can help you with that.” Aegon offered.
“Can you?” She excitedly said.
Aegon nodded with a slight smile, while on the inside, he was dying from the nerves since he had absolutely no idea on how to fix a hole in the ceiling, he just offered himself out of courtesy and because he wanted to be a good guess for her.
He was completely oblivious with everything, he did not know how to use the tools, and he was too embarrassed to ask so he just improvised everything trying to make it work. But it did not.
When the storm came, the girl had to put vases around the house to prevent the floor from getting wet thanks to the leaks. Even the bed got wet, so that night Aegon had to sleep on the floor, on the other side of the bed. She did not get mad at him for not fixing the problem, instead, she just laughed it off and told him it was alright, that they could fix it in another time.
Aegon felt some inner joy when she said that, for he knew she was thinking of him staying longer; he did not dislike the idea.
A week and a half has passed already. Sunfyre was nowhere to be seen, but Aegon did not mind about it anymore, he felt too comfortable already with her company. Besides, they had just started his cooking lessons.
The girl has offered it to him as a joke, and when Aegon accepted she was as surprised as him. It was not common that a man would want to learn those kinds of things. In return, he would teach her about dragons, and she was so fascinated with the idea that as soon as they sealed the deal, she grabbed her vegetables and started to teach him.
Aegon’s fingers soon were full of tiny cuts, cuts that she would clean and bind up. Chopping vegetables with a knife seemed like a more dangerous activity than using a sword.
When he finally made supper all by himself, he felt so proud that he could not stop smiling. He had prepared the meal while the girl was out searching for fresh vegetables and fruit. It was a surprise; he wanted to make something nice for her. So when she arrived at the house, she saw two small bowls filled with soup.
“Aegon, did you cook all this by yourself?” She had asked him, surprised but also impressed.
“I did.” He answered proudly, while she was sitting on the chair. “I hope it tastes good, I didn’t try it before pouring it in the bowls.”
She smiled softly, a smile that quickly trembled thanks to the flavor of the soup. It was not bad, it just had a strong taste that she could not recognize. She tried so hard to keep a smile on her face because she would rather rip her heart from her chest than to make him feel bad about something, especially when he really strove to make it. She just nodded and hummed, while she kept drinking the soup.
But soon Aegon tried it too, and she spit the soup back on the bowl as soon as it touched his tongue. His disgusted face was too cute for her to ignore, she found herself staring at him more than she should while he was overreacting by drinking large sips of water in order to forget the taste.
“Oh Gods, this is so fucking disgusting.” He muttered, “Stop drinking that.” He had said to her, trying to grab her bowl to toss it, but she took it away from him first. “Don’t drink that, it's disgusting.”
“What are you saying? This is delicious!” She tried to cheer him up. She took a big sip of the soup afterwards, trying so hard not to show a bad face.
“Don’t lie, y/n.” He told her, embarrassed. “Stop drinking it!”
But she drank it all. Aegon was surprised to see the empty bowl, and it was impossible for him not to smile softly at her. She had drunk his disgusting soup only to avoid making him feel bad. That’s when the tickles started.
Another week passed, and Aegon found himself running with a sheep on his shoulders and y/n laughing hysterically by his side, while an old man was following them with a flail. He did not know how he put himself in that situation, but he was enjoying it. Hearing her laughter was enough to make him feel some joy he had never experienced before, it made him feel whole.
When they entered the tiny house, the grumpy neighbor was long forgotten. Aegon dropped the sheep on the floor and sat, trying to catch his breath while the girl was offering him a glass of cold water, which he gladly accepted.
“How do you do that?” He asked breathlessly. She only shrugged and chuckled.
“I guess I’m used to it.” She sat in front of him, “Aegon, the Sheepstealer. It sounds good, does it not?”
Aegon smiled, “It does.”
He killed the sheep, and made a much better meal with it. The practice has made him good, great even. Now he knew he did not need to put too much nutmeg on the food, a pinch was enough.
“I’ve never eaten sheep before.” The girl confessed after finishing her plate. “It’s quite delicious.”
“Why?”
“It’s just that I don’t have the heart to kill them.” She replied, “They look at me with those tiny little eyes, and it is impossible for me to do something to them.”
“What do you do with the sheep you stole?” He asked confused.
“I return them.” She explained, “I cut the wool with my scissors and then I took them back to my neighbor’s herd.” She looked at the plate with a sad haze, “Although this one won’t be coming back any time soon.”
“Wait, you have scissors?” He asked, and she nodded.
Soon, Aegon was sitting on the same chair as before but this time he saw how his platinum hair strands were falling onto his lap. He had asked her to cut his hair after thinking it was getting too long. Her hands brushing his head was a kind of pleasure that he never thought he would experience, it felt so good that he would start humming without even realizing.
His eyes would close and his whole body would relax under her touch. It felt too good that Aegon even thought he was dreaming.
Of course the haircut was a mess, she had never done anything like that before; at least not with humans. But when Aegon saw his hair reflected on a small mirror that was hanging from the wall, he just praised her for her good job, although they both knew it was hideous. He just did not have the heart to tell her that.
The day passed after that and with each day they would get closer and closer. Until one night, when Aegon would not find peace to sleep, for he was starting to feel guilty. Lately at night, he had found himself staring at the girl while she slept on the floor next to the bed, all curled up and hugging the blanket that would cover her from the coldness of the evening. Aegon felt something inside of him that was screaming he was in the wrong for letting her sleep in such a way for too long.
Even though she was peacefully sleeping already, he knew she deserved to be as comfortable as him. After everything she had done for him, he felt the need to give her something back. So he started to wake her up.
“Hey, y/n. Wake up!” He started to shake her body a bit too harshly. “Y/n, wake up!”
The poor girl jumped and woke up scared, looking around, confused and overwhelmed. “What happened?” She said. Her raspy voice made him feel some kind of tinkle in his gut. “My neighbor is here?”
“Hey, y/n.” He whispered, “It’s okay, he’s- he’s not here.”
“What is it then?” She rubbed her eyes and yawned. “Do you need more cushions?”
“No, I’m okay it’s just… uh, I was thinking if you would like to sleep here in the bed.” He offered, surprisingly shy. “I think it could be more comfortable for you.”
“And where would you sleep?”
“We can sleep together if that’s not a problem for you.”
She smiled, pleased. “Look at us.” She said chuckling, “A few weeks ago you wouldn’t tell me about where you were going because I was a stranger and now you are offering me to sleep with you!” She spoke excitedly, “On the morrow we will wake up as best friends!”
Aegon only nodded softly, still wondering about what made her so unique. So special.
She stood up and quickly got under the soft blankets, cuddling with a pillow. Aegon was staring at the ceiling, moving his fingers nervously after feeling her body so close to him. He regretted having his shirt removed as he was scared that his body would react on its own, he was scared of what she might think if he got aroused by her. He did not even know why he was so concerned about it, perhaps it was the very first time that he actually cared of what others would think of him. Of what she might think of him.
To avoid the shame of it, he turned around giving her his back. He then sighed and closed his eyes, preparing himself to sleep now out of guilt, but her voice sounded once again.
“Aegon?” She whispered. Her breath hit his back, causing him a shiver that was quite worrying.
“Yes?” His voice sounded more raspy than usual.
“I know this is ‘best friend’ level, and we aren’t there yet,” Aegon frowned and looked at her over his shoulder. “But I was wondering if I could hug you.”
He was taken aback by her sudden request. He was so shocked that he felt as if she was playing a joke on him. No one has ever asked him to hug him before, less when in bed.
“You want- You want to hug me?”
“Yes…” She nodded, a small smile crossed her lips. “Like this.”
She moved a bit behind him and then he felt her arm going under his and surrounding his naked torso. Aegon felt oddly calm once he sensed her warmth around him. She laid her head on top of the crook of his neck and sighed.
A now-familiar sensation took over his body, making his face feel hotter and his heart beat faster. He did not know why his body started to react in such a way all of the sudden, but it did not feel bad.
“How does it feel?” She asked. “I can move if you are not comfortable-”
“No!” He quickly said, a bit louder than he expected. “It feels nice.”
She smiled, relieved.
“Good night then, Aegon.” She said softly.
“Good night, y/n.”
Aegon fell asleep with a smile on his face for the first time in his life.
The next day, everything went as usual, although he could not take his eyes out of her. With every touch, every word, and every smile he would feel something jumping inside his chest, and he would get clumsy all of the sudden. Even a little shy, when he had no record of being shy before meeting her.
And then, she had the marvelous idea of having lunch outside. Aegon was not a big fan, but he accepted because she wanted to do it; he could not bring himself to say no to her.
He followed her through the woods until they reached a beautiful lagoon in the middle of the trees, the water was turquoise, and you could see the bottom of it because it was so clear. It was a gorgeous place, probably one of the most beautiful places he had ever been.
The meal was cooked by Aegon, who had been constantly improving on his culinary skills. They sat on a cozy blanket —made by her with the wool of his neighbor’s sheep, of course— and they put all the biscuits, pastries, and bread on top of it. She had made orange juice too, which Aegon loved.
“Where do you think Sunfyre is right now?” She asked after a moment of silence.
Aegon shrugged, “I don’t care about that traitor anymore.” He spoke with his mouth full after eating a small lemon cake in just one bite.
“Will you leave after he comes back?” Her voice sounded quite unsure, perhaps because she did not want to hear an answer.
Aegon was taken aback with the question, not sure of what to answer. He has not even thought about his departure yet, seeing it so far and unlikely; he did not wish to leave this place, nor her.
“I don’t know.” He said softly, “I feel rather comfortable in your bed.” He joked, and she chuckled. “You’re an amazing hugger. If I leave now, I’m going to miss you at night.”
He said those words as if he was joking, but he knew deep inside of him that he was only speaking the truth.
“Hugger?” She asked confused.
“Your hugs,” He explained, “They’re incredible.”
“Well, thank you very much.” She blushed, and she tried to hide his face from him. Aegon looked at her mesmerized.
Once he woke up from his trance, he realized he had been staring at her for too long, and even when she did not seem to mind, he felt some embarrassment in his action. So he tried to take her attention to something else. Something that was not him and his rosy cheeks.
“Is the water good for a swim?” He asked, the girl nodded excitedly, “Shall we swim?”
The girl stood up immediately, and soon she started to get rid of her dress. Aegon’s eyes widened with panic as he had not considered that important detail; she would wet her dress to swim, so she was getting naked.
She did it without any shame of her body, and he knew it was because she did not find anything sinful in nudity, but Aegon did, and he got scared; mostly because he was scared of his own body, on how it would react by having her so close to him with nothing on. But when she finally got rid of her clothing, and his eyes found her, he felt his heart stop for a second.
He was waiting for his body to react differently, to have some reaction towards her naked body as he usually did; he expected to feel some tickle on his gut as a sign of lust, but it was nothing like it. Aegon saw her as if she had put a spell on him, his eyes could not stop staring at her curves, her bare skin, her hair being blown with the air. It was a bewitching scene that made Aegon’s whole body go numb. He even felt his eyes getting a bit watery, for they were glistening for the sight. And when she turned to face him and smiled so softly at him, he knew. He felt it.
Oh, no, Aegon thought, I’m falling in love.
Of course she invited him to join in, and he did. The butterflies on his stomach were getting more notorious with every step he took. Soon, he found himself playing with her, throwing water and laughing as a little child. It did not matter anymore that they were naked, he did not feel the need to make it into something lustful. He just enjoyed the moment with her, for he has never felt this way before; so filled with joy and genuinely happy.
He even wished for Sunfyre to never come back so he would never have an excuse to leave. But he had never been the possessor of such good luck.
The next morning a roar woke them up, they were sleeping cuddling each other and they both sat on the bed exalted for the sudden noise. Aegon was the first one standing up, grabbing his sword and coming out of the house. Soon, y/n followed him, positioning herself behind him. The girl stopped in awe, looking at the giant dragon in front of her with wonder.
“Fuck.” Aegon mumbled, loud enough to wake the girl out of her trance and looking at the man walking towards them.
“Who’s that?” She asked curiously.
Aegon sighed,
“My brother.” He replied reluctantly.
“He is handsome.” She said.
Aegon frowned, looking at her with a disgusted look on his face. “No, he’s not.”
As the man was getting closer, Aegon positioned himself in front of the girl, as if he was trying to protect her from him. Aemond stood in front of both of them, he looked serious and intimidating. The girl had to look up to him because he was at least one head taller than her.
“So this is where you were hiding.” He said when he was close enough for them to hear him. “It’s nice.”
“Thank you!” The girl rushed to respond.
“Who is this beautiful lady?” Aemond asked, the girl blushed with the compliment.
Aegon’s jaw clenched. “It is not of your interest.”
“I’m y/n.” She cheerfully said.
“Such a pleasure to meet you, Lady y/n.” He grabbed her hand and left a soft kiss in it. The girl giggled, a bit embarrassed.
“Oh, I'm no Lady.” She shyly smiled, “You have a beautiful dragon.”
“Thank you, love.” He smirked slightly.
“How did you find me?” Aegon asked, clearly annoyed.
“Sunfyre was seen flying around Dorne a few days ago,” He explained, “I found him and he guided me here.”
Aegon looked beside Vhagar and his dragon was laying there, chewing what seemed to be a calcined animal. Once again, he cursed the Gods by how inconvenient his arrival was.
“And what do you want?”
“Father is dead.” He said suddenly.
“What?” He muttered incredulously.
“Mother sent me to look for you.” Aemond explained.
“But- I don’t want to leave.”
“You must.” The younger one spoke firmly, “You will be crowned as King on the morrow.”
“King?” The soft voice of the girl was heard.
Aemond saw her with a lifted eyebrow, a bit surprised about her reaction until he finally put the strings together.
“She doesn't know, does she?”
“Know what, Aegon?” She asked him.
Aegon went silent, and he begged his brother with his eyes to not say anything, to keep it as a secret. But Aemond did not granted him with that, instead he looked at the girl with curious eyes and explained,
“Aegon is Prince of the Seven Kingdoms.” His voice sounded softly, as he was not trying to hurt her. “He is the heir of the Throne in Westeros.”
The girl frowned, and Aegon looked down at the green grass being unable to see her face after the truth was out. She took a step forward and touched his shoulder with care, only then Aegon was strong enough to look at her eyes; she was not mad or hurt, she just seemed confused.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I never saw the right time, I- I’m sorry, y/n.”
She excused herself and got into her home. Aegon covered his face with his hands, frustrated and mad at his brother, furious actually. He wanted to punch him in the face, but he knew that if he did it he would get into a fight that he would not win.
“You have been living in her home for a month and you never tell her about who you are?”
“It didn’t seem relevant!” He yelled, stressed, “Fuck!”
“Aegon, I must take you to mother and-”
“Shut up.” He interrupted him before starting to walk inside the house.
The girl was standing in the kitchen, cutting some oranges in half to then squeeze them and make orange juice. Aegon cleared his throat to make himself seen, and she turned to look at him. Her eyes were a bit teary and Aegon’s heart nearly broke.
“Can we talk?”
“You are a Prince.” She affirmed, and he nodded. “Is that why you were escaping from your family? Because you don’t want to be king?”
“I’ve never wanted it.” He confessed, “I’m not made to rule. I couldn’t even command my dragon when he brought me here.” He joked, and that made her smile. “I’m sorry I wasn’t honest with you.”
“I understand why you did it.” A couple unexpected tears fell down her cheeks and she quickly brushed them off to laugh afterwards, “I don’t even know why I am crying-”
“It’s okay,” He said softly, and he cupped her face with his hands. A delicate touch that made her legs shiver. “I’m going to tell him to leave.” She frowned, “I’m going to stay here with you. And we can- we can be happy together, right?”
Her haze softened, Aegon looked at her lips and the sudden urge to kiss her invaded his whole body. Soon his thoughts were interrupted by her sweet voice,
“But you have to leave.” She whispered, “You have a family, you belong with them.”
“You are my family now, y/n. I belong here, with you!” He sighed.
“You need to leave…” She repeated, “Your brother, he is quite intimidating, I can’t fight with him over you.”
Aegon giggled.
“He would win without a doubt.” He added.
“I know. I would just embarrass myself.”
They both laughed lightly, with tears in their eyes. Trying so hard to ignore the pain on their chest.
“Listen-”
“No, you listen.” She interrupted him, “I think- I think it is better that you go with your brother- what’s his name?”
“Aemond.” She chuckled, “What?”
“Sounds like ‘almond’.”
Aegon smiled, “Yes, it does.”
She cleared her throat and wiped one rebel tear that left her eyes, she put her hands on top of his and sighed.
“It was a pleasure meeting you, Aegon.” He frowned, “I don’t think I’ll ever forget you.”
“I don’t want to leave you alone.” He confessed.
“I won’t be alone… I can try and be friends with my neighbor.”
“Come with me.” He begged.
“Aegon, I can’t. I don’t belong there… but you do.”
“I’ll miss you terribly.” His voice sounded weak.
“You can come and visit whenever you want.” She tried to cheer him up.
“It won’t be enough.”
“We’ll make it enough.”
He hugged her tightly, burying his head on the crook of her neck trying to carve her scent in his memories, trying to force his body to remember her warmth around him for eternity. Her hands reached his hair and stroked it softly before leaning back.
“Oh! Before you go.” She quickly went to her bed and picked up one of her cushions, she then lent it to Aegon who received it with a smile. “So you can remember me.”
“Bold of you to assume I would ever forget you.”
The presence of Aemond interrupted their moment and the older brother rolled his eyes.
“We must leave now, brother.” Aemond said.
“You must leave now, brother.” She said in a whisper, imitating Aemond’s serious voice and making Aegon laugh loudly.
“Don’t let him hear you.” He warned her, “He would hate you if you mock him, he’s quite serious.”
She only nodded, trying to repress a smile while Aegon’s eyes scanned all of her face, trying to memorize every single part of it. He did not know when he would see you again.
“Y/n…” He called her.
“Yes?”
He took a deep breath, “I- I love-” He stopped himself before he could finish, and then he suddenly changed his words. “I really loved your house.”
Her smile trembled, a bit disappointed. “You can come back whenever you want. My door will alway be open for you.”
“Aegon!” Aemond insisted.
“Go now.” She said, “We’ll meet again, I promise.”
Aeon nodded, and after looking at her a little longer, he left a quick kiss on her forehead. Then, he left the house.
She saw from her door frame how Aegon started yelling at his dragon; she could only smile with tenderness after seeing him being mad at him again. She saw him riding his dragon and flying away.
The girl closed her door and layed in bed putting his nose against the pillows. They still smelled like him.
Two days later, she was in the kitchen preparing something for supper. It was late at night, she could hear the sound of the crickets outside, everything was so quiet and peaceful. Until a growl was heard in her front yard.
She left the knife and the celery aside in order to open her door and look outside; a huge smile on her face and butterflies in her stomach appeared when she saw the golden dragon outside her house. It was Aegon.
He got out of his saddle and quickly reached the grass. He walked fast towards the girl who was just too excited to see him.
“Aegon, you’re back so soon?”
He did not answer her, instead, he pressed his lips against hers. She gladly followed the kiss, bringing her hands to his soft hair. Aegon held her close by grabbing her waist and pulling her onto his body. The kiss was soft, slow, filled with tenderness and love; Aegon sighed in between, feeling in heaven with just the touch of her lips.
When he leaned back, his eyes were glistening, his breathing was fastened, and his heart was jumping inside his chest out of excitement. The girl in front of him laughed, and Aegon closed his eyes; two days were enough for him to crave for that sweet laughter.
“I love you, y/n.” He confessed, making her melt. “I left everything behind, so you better get used to my presence because I’m not leaving you any time soon.”
“What about the throne?” She asked, a bit overwhelmed with all the situation.
“I made a convenient deal with Aemond.” He explained. “He only accepted it because he liked you.”
She smiled, “I love you too, Aegon.”
He kissed her again, this time it was more passionately, but still had those sweet touches of tenderness that he loved so dearly. Her lips were soft, so perfect and made for him. Being there with her, kissing her and touching her body felt just right. As if it has always meant to be.
The girl leaned back and looked at him with a subtle smile, “We’ll need to steal a sheep.”
Aegon chuckled, “What for?”
“We will need a bigger bed.”

Nebarra being really convinced that he's ugly to a point that you're secretly both morbidly curious and mildly afraid to find out what he looks like underneath his helmet- Namely because while he isn't the pinnacle of tall freak alien-looking altmer beauty, he's at the very least better looking than most people on average.
And though he's got an ugly personality, if you saw him without him explicitly opening his rancid mouth introducing himself to you, you wouldn't even understand right away that the handsome mer in front of you is the annoying merc you know as (neb)barra.
More often than not, he goes with wildly overconfident. That act doesn't nearly reflect how often he feels self-conscious about how he looks. He thinks about it during almost every passing moment these days. Is he too short? Too stocky? Gods forbid, does he smell bad?? Is he just some brawny brute to you? A ruffian? A barbarian? Not elegant enough?? These are all things he really shouldn't be concerned with (considering you're a walking human-lizard abomination), and yet he can't seem to quiet the thought. But you're never going to find out what he looks like at this rate so it's fine!! It's fine!! It's fine!!! It's fine!!!
-
You finally snap (breaking the no physical contact rule) and grab him by the bangs in the middle of an admittedly mild argument, and underneath the cover of his helmet, he goes completely unresponsive.
You're convinced that they're secretly his alien Aldmeri-antennae and you just flicked his off-switch.
Meanwhile his soul has left his body because you're close enough for him to see every wrinkle, pore, and daedra forsaken eyelash on your face, and you're tugging on his hair as if it were the reins of a horse. And his heart is trying to strangle him. Mara is that such a cruel joke. Then you smooth the strands of his hair between your fingers in curiosity, accidentally tugging them a little. He winces and tries to complain but it all comes out as garbled nonsense as you step a little closer and give it a really good, close-up glance over. After that he goes quiet for maybe one whole solid hour, trailing along without a peep.
Leading him to an early death for sure. Auri-El, smite me.

requesting for 1k event:
Taking a bath with. Teldryn Sero (Naughty)
I am fully aware that it says naughty in the request, but you also requested Teldryn with an (innocent) bath as well. To make it easier on myself, I combined the two for this prompt. We’ll start with the sweet (innocent) stuff before we start encroaching on more dangerous territory. I’ve stuck to gn!reader for this one. Enjoy!
Content & Warnings (per the warnings MDNI): fluff, suggestive themes, intimacy
Word Count: 408
Teldryn Sero x gn!reader
A/N: Thank you to everyone who sent in requests for the 1k follower event. This event is closed and I am not taking any more requests. Thank you!
ao3 // taglist // main masterlist // 1k follower event masterlist
Innocent:
Teldryn who doesn’t often get to bathe while working as a mercenary. In fact, it rather peeves him that he cannot just find a peaceful place to wash down every once in a while. The Chitin armor he wears can grow smelly if it’s not taken care of.
Teldryn who might wash up in a stream, river, or lake if he absolutely has to but prefers an actual soak in a tub.
Teldryn who will absolutely pay an arm and a leg to have bath when he stays somewhere for the night. Even if all he gets is a large wooden basin and some basic soap, Teldryn is jumping at the opportunity to soak.
Teldryn who prefers steaming hot water that might scald the skin of paler folk.
Teldryn who likes to lather up and scrub every inch twice over before he actually feels clean.
Teldryn who is totally comfortable drinking himself into a stupor and gorging himself on finger foods while soaking.
Teldryn who does enjoy more than just his company in the bath. With you, he would enjoy you reclining against him or soaking opposite if the tub is big enough.
Teldryn who wouldn’t mind washing you down especially if you’d had a long day or if you were out exploring the world with him. Muscles soreness needs gentleness and a loving hand.
Naughty (MDNI):
Teldryn who isn’t afraid to be a tease if you’re in the room. He’ll take his time undressing. He’ll show off all his muscles. He might even flex. It’s to tempt you into coming with him. To join him in the warm water so he can have you all to himself.
Teldryn who will overexaggerate every movement to tempt you further if you won’t join him. He’ll even purposefully touch himself in a way that you know exactly what’s happening beneath the water.
Teldryn who won’t be able to stop touching you once you join him. He might scrub you down and lather up your skin with the soap, but he’s doing more than that. Teldryn wants to touch you.
Teldryn who is going to use this time to make you ache for him before this is all over.
Teldryn who will relentlessly tease about how needful you are. He loves to hear you beg, and will make every effort to bring you to that point.
Teldryn who will use this opportunity as a kind of foreplay for the real thing.

I have this little headcanon that Elder Maxson, being the big secret nerd he is, likes to make little poems about his loved one. Problem is, he began writing them long before their relationship became official. If his precious future Sentinel Maxson were to ever find those old pieces of work..well let’s just say it’ll be right up there in embarrassment as when he shot Sarah on accident.

never enough pt 2
part 1
pairing: Aegon II Targaryen x fem!reader
words: 4.105
summary: Aegon is trying to get reader to forgive him after breaking her heart.
warnings: NSFW (not detailed/making out), angst/fluff, targcest
a/n: English is not my native language.
Both Aegon and Y/N had locked themselves in their rooms.
It had been two weeks since the two of them had argued in the garden. No one had seen either of them in the castle for two weeks.
Y/N had welcomed Jace into her room at the end of the week, but no one knew what state Aegon was in.
The only people who came in and out of his room were the servants. But he hid from them too.
When they came to his room, he would either hide under his sheets or stand in front of the window and hide his face from them.
They were pleased that Prince Aegon wasn't talking to them.
Baela stopped at the door to Y/N’s room. She was holding illustrated history books. Y/N had been looking for them in the library since they arrived at the palace, but she couldn't find them.
No one knew what had happened, but it was clear that something was going on between Aegon and Y/N.
Baela went over her conversation with Jace in her head again. Jace allowed her to go to her room on one condition.
Aegon was not to be mentioned.
Jace had told Baela dozens of times not to tell Y/N to talk to Aegon. The longer Aegon stayed away from his sister, the better.
Baela entered without knocking. Y/N was sitting at her desk, reading a book. There was a big glass in front of her. Baela guessed it was wine because she looked disheveled. Even though it was late afternoon, she had not yet changed her clothes or done her hair.
She looked up at the girl standing in the doorway.
"Why didn't you knock?"
"So I could see you like this."
"What do you want, Baela?"
The girl didn't answer for a while and looked at Y/N's face.
Annoyed by the silence, she returned to her book.
Baela glanced around the room.
Her room was not untidy, but there were signs that she had not left it for two weeks. The bed was unmade, and there were plates and glasses in certain parts of the room.
"May I sit?"
She answered without looking up from her book.
"I don't think you want my permission to do anything in this room."
With a sigh, Baela walked to the table and sat in the chair directly opposite her. "I brought you some books."
"Thanks."
She took the books from her and began to read them.
Indeed, Baela knew her very well.
She had brought her the books she couldn't find.
The book was about the conquest and what happened until her grandfather became king. She could see how the painters had painted the faces of the conquerors, even if they were not entirely realistic.
"What exactly happened between you and Aegon?" She might have made a promise to Jace, but he was a man, after all. He wouldn't know how to handle a situation like that.
Y/N felt a little anger at being interrupted from reading the book. "Ask me directly what you want to know, Baela. You don't need to linger."
"I asked you exactly what I wanted to know."
Y/N closed her book and looked at the girl. "He made it very clear that he didn't like me."
"What happened between you two before he said that?"
Y/N thought for a while about what to say. She needed to talk to someone about what had happened. But she didn't want them to think she cared about Aegon.
"After dinner, we went to his room and-" She swallowed before continuing. "And I kissed him. It's nothing important, alright?"
"If it's nothing important, why have you been holed up in your room for the last two weeks?"
Y/N didn't want to look at Baela's face. So she started playing with the rings in her hand. It was a habit she had inherited from her mother.
"I thought he cared about me. I'm so stupid, aren't I? I thought someone I hadn't seen in years cared about me." She smiled bitterly. "What makes me feel even more stupid is that I thought Aegon Targaryen cared about someone other than himself."
Baela reached out and took her hand. "I'm sure he cares about you. Maybe he's scared or doesn't know how to express his feelings."
Y/N looked up and looked her straight in the eye.
"I can't say you're any good at it either." She smiled for the first time in two weeks. But her smile faded again with her thoughts.
"If he cared about me that much, he'd come and talk to me. He could at least try to tell me how he feels. You don't have to fool yourself and me for nothing."
"You're right, Y/N. But this thing between you two-"
"There is nothing between us. I don't want to tire or upset myself thinking about him anymore. If you have nothing else to say, you may leave."
Baela sighed at her stubbornness. "I asked the servants to bring fruit to your room. If you don't mind my presence, we can eat together."
She looked at her friend's face and smiled. "Of course, we can eat together, as long as you don't mention Aegon."
”I won’t.”
"Good. I hope you asked for peaches."
"Peaches and strawberries."
xxx
After finishing their fruit and chatting for about an hour, Baela left Y/N alone with her new books.
Once out in the hallway, she walked quickly toward Aemond's room. He was just on his way out when Baela came to the door of his room.
"Did you talk to her?"
"Yes, I did."
When he heard her answer, he grabbed her arm and pulled her into his room. He checked to see if anyone was in the hallway and closed the door. "What did she tell you?
"Not much. I think Y/N kissed him, and then Aegon told her he didn't like her."
"That is a situation that is likely to happen."
"They're both so stubborn."
Aemond nodded.
"Why are you so interested in this?"
"Aegon is my brother, and Y/N is my friend. You may think I'm acting out of character, but I care about them."
This time Baela nodded. They both looked at each other's faces in silence. "If you have nothing else to say, I'm leaving. I need to check on Jace."
"Alright, you may go. I will talk to Aegon. This whole thing has gone on longer than it should have."
The two of them hadn't had many conversations before, so they didn't know how to treat each other.
Baela nodded, not finding anything else to say or do, and they left the room together.
xxx
"Aegon!" Aemond shouted as he entered the Prince's chambers.
"Why are you shouting, Aemond?" said Aegon as he buried his head in his pillow. A girl was lying next to him.
Cassandra Baratheon.
She recovered the moment she saw Prince Aemond enter. She looked at Aegon, waiting for him to do something. But Aegon didn't care about anything. He was almost asleep again.
"Leave us please, my Lady," said Aemond.
"Yes, my prince," she said and got out of bed. Inwardly Aemond thanked the gods that she was clothed.
Cassandra Baratheon took her book from the bed and left the room.
"How can you keep behaving like this?"
"How have I been behaving, brother?"
"Perhaps I should stop defending you, Aegon. I can no longer find excuses to cover up your mistakes."
Aegon opened his eyes and sat up in bed. The sheet was down to his waist, exposing his naked torso. "Fine. I never asked you to cover up my mistakes. This whole thing is something you started all by yourself."
"And now I'm to blame for trying to show people that you're not so bad?"
"Exactly. If you had left me alone, everything would have gone as it normally does."
Aemond looked at Aegon in amazement.
He thought of the sacrifices he had made over the years.
He hadn't tried to correct the rumors, but at least he had tried to keep Aegon on good terms with his mother. He had taken a few things upon himself, so she would not be too hard on Aegon. And yet here he was being insulted for trying to help him.
"And what explanation do you have for Lady Cassandra being in your room?"
"I don't have to have an explanation."
Aegon rose from the bed, wearing the same breeches he wore when he rode his dragon. "Were you going dragon riding?"
Aegon reached across his desk for the wine and two glasses. As he filled them, he remembered his night with Y/N and felt sad. He knew he had been unnecessarily mean and uncaring to her, but he had never felt that way before. He had never known what it was to love before, and he didn't know what to do when he suddenly felt too much.
"Yes, and then Alessandra came to my room."
"Her name is Cassandra."
"Whatever it is." Aegon handed one of the glasses to Aemond.
"Aemond, I am no fool. I can understand why you are here. But it is up to you whether you believe me or not. I didn't invite Cassandra to my room."
"Did she suddenly want to come to your room, then?"
Aegon drank all the wine from the glass and set it on the table. "I think Otto sent her. You know how he likes to use sad girls to gain access to princes and kings."
Aemond clenched his jaw.
"She came and started reading to me out of the blue. People's idea of fun has changed a lot these days."
Aemond clutched the wine glass Aegon handed him. His knuckles grew whiter and whiter. Aegon's relaxed demeanor was driving him to the brink of madness.
He put the glass back on the table. "Aegon, aren't you going to explain to Y/N why you treat her like a common whore?" he said through his teeth.
It was no longer about Aegon's treatment of Y/N.
It was Aegon's ridiculous behavior.
As soon as Aemond finished his sentence, Aegon grabbed him by the collar. Aemond refused to let his nerves get the better of him. But Aegon's face was about to turn red with anger. "You love her, don't you? That's why you don't like the way I treat her?"
Aemond grabbed both of Aegon's arms. But he did not push him away.
"You took away everything I loved, everything I wanted. My mother's love belongs to you and you alone. Now Y/N is in love with your stupid grin and your long silver hair."
He tugged at Aemond's collar. "Even the maids in the halls laugh at me now that you let me ruin my name."
"I thought you were happy to have your image ruined."
Aegon smiled bitterly. "I thought so too, but- but I'm trying to get better, don't you see?"
Aegon looked away from his brother. "For her," he said in a low voice.
Aemond pulled Aegon away and sat him on the bed. Aegon kept his eyes on the ground.
He felt himself sinking into a sense of helplessness he had been trying to ignore for two weeks.
"Look at me, brother."
Aegon raised his eyes to Aemond’s face.
He had been in this situation too many times.
His mother usually found him like this when she came to his room to scold him.
"I love her, but not in the way you think."
He took a deep breath. He did not like to express his feelings. "The night I lost my eye, she came to me even though her brother was responsible. She was the only one."
He studied Aegon's expression for a moment. "My mother was in her room trying to figure out how to calm my father's anger at her for losing her temper."
He looked around the room for distractions for a while but found none. "You were drunk in a corner again. I can remember our grandfather could barely find you."
Aegon felt sad and regretful.
"She was the only one with me, comforting me through the night. I thought I would never sleep again, but her fingers in my hair made it easier to fall asleep. "
Aemond looked at his brother, who was already looking at him. "Of course, I'll be there for her when you treat her like a whore. At least that way, I can repay her."
Aegon took a deep breath. "I screwed up again, didn't I?"
"Yes, but you can fix it."
Aegon lay down on the bed again. "How do I do it?"
Aemond took Aegon by the arm and lifted him. "First, you will get dressed. And then you're going to apologize to Y/N."
"You've been helpful," he said mockingly.
"What am I going to wear?"
Aemond looked at him in disbelief.
"Don't look at me like that. I'm just excited," said Aegon.
Aegon chose some clothes he thought were beautiful. It took him longer than usual to get dressed because he couldn't stop his hands from shaking.
He spent a long time combing his hair and applying expensive oils he liked the smell of on his neck.
As Aegon left the room, Aemond called after him. "She told me she loves you."
xxx
Aegon's heart had been pounding ever since he heard Aemond's words.
Y/N had not only said she loved him, but she had also said it to Aemond.
He ran into the corridor where her room was. He knocked on her door several times, but there was no answer.
"Y/N," he said. But there was still no answer.
When Aegon looked around and saw no one, he opened the door. The room looked empty.
He took a few steps inside, and her scent filled his nose.
He closed his eyes and inhaled the scent for a while.
Then he walked to the center of the room. Her desk was full. A few history books are on the table.
He saw her nightgown thrown casually on the chair and picked it up. The idea of it hugging her curves excited him again. She could wear that nightgown while lying in bed while reading a book. And Aegon would watch her, fascinated.
He knew that if he stayed in her room longer, he would suffocate from fantasizing about her.
"My prince," someone said. The voice was, unfortunately, not Y/N's.
Aegon threw the gown back on the chair in worry.
Y/N's maid was standing in the bathroom doorway. "I'm looking for Princess Y/N. Do you know where she is?"
The girl put down the bucket in her hand and walked over to the princess's table. "I think she went out into the garden for some air, my prince," she said as she picked up the books on the table.
Aegon nodded and left the room.
He felt like he was reliving everything he had experienced two weeks ago. But this time, it was going to be different.
He was going to be very careful with every word he said.
As he reached the outer door, he realized it was raining outside. He decided to go back inside but stopped when he saw Y/N in the garden. She was wearing a summer dress. The fabric was thin, and she must have been cold.
He walked into the garden. It wasn't raining too much.
Aegon came up to her, but she didn't notice him. She was picking the dead petals off the flowers. It was probably just something she did to take her mind off things.
Some of Y/N's hair was wet and stuck to her. He almost gasped at the sight of her.
"Y/N," he said in a soft voice.
She jumped a little and turned to him. When she saw Aegon, her gaze was soft but instantly hardened.
How dare he come to her?
She wanted to hide behind the trees or run inside, but she wondered what Aegon would say.
And she desperately needed Aegon to make amends for his mistake two weeks ago.
"I do not think you wish to be seen with me, my prince," she said and turned back to the flowers.
"Y/N, please look at me. I want to talk to you."
"I apologize, my prince, but I am busy."
"Y/N, please-"
"What is it?" she said fiercely, turning to him again. "Have you come to insult me again?"
She knew that Aegon was difficult to understand, the most complex person she had ever met. She also knew that his moods were complicated and that he was in a constant state of sadness. But that still didn't justify what he had said in the garden. Y/N wanted him to apologize and explain himself.
"No. I came to apologize."
"I don't want your apology. Go away."
Aegon looked at her in despair. "As your prince, I command you to listen to me," he said. "Please."
If anyone else had heard him say 'please' so much, they would have been shocked and thought something had happened to Aegon.
The girl frowned, thinking Aegon was being arrogant. He came to apologize, and at the same time, he was using his power to order her around. "As you wish, my prince," she said, crossing her arms.
Aegon thought he was sinking deeper and deeper, but it seemed the only way she would listen to him. "I didn't mean anything I said that day. The possibility that you could love me seemed so remote that it seemed like I was in on a joke."
Aegon wanted to reach out and hold her, but he restrained himself. "Y/N, I don't know how to express my love. Even now, I can't think of what to say without making a fool of myself in front of you."
Y/N's gaze softened a little, her arms falling to her sides. "What I said when we were in my room was the truth. You excite me. Just thinking about you makes me feel things I don't want to exist. Because amid all the chaos in my life, I don't know how to control my love for you. I don't know how to protect you from all this chaos."
Aegon reached out and took Y/N's hand. "If you are with me, I can find a solution to everything. I can find ways to make you feel my love."
Y/N squeezed Aegon's hand in hers. She wanted to say nice things to Aegon too. But she was afraid that he might have lied. "You know what they say. If a man wants something, he will say and do anything to get it. I don't believe you."
A sense of panic gripped Aegon. She was right. Aegon did not know how to regain her trust after everything he had said. His clothes were almost completely soaked, and he was cold. The front strands of his hair stuck to his face.
Aegon took off his jacket and put it around her shoulders. Y/N wanted to give back, but she didn't. It felt good to feel Aegon's warmth through the coat.
"Y/N, I've lived in Aemond's shadow all my life. I'm not trying to justify myself, but when you mentioned him, my blood boiled. I was afraid I'd lose you to him, too."
Y/N wondered what would happen if Aegon was honest. After all the years she had tried to reach him, he was here.
Aegon dropped to both knees.
He took her hand, this time with both hands. "I am trying to change for you. I will be a better man. I will try to be the best husband I can be for you, and I will be."
The thin shirt he was wearing was completely soaked and stuck to him.
Y/N cupped Aegon's face with her free hand. She didn't want to resist. Aegon involuntarily lowered his head into her hand.
"I don't want you to change yourself, Aegon. You are perfect as you are. I love you for who you are."
Y/N grabbed Aegon by the arms and pulled him to his feet.
She wrapped her arms around Aegon's neck. He held her waist tightly.
She had decided to give Aegon a chance, but if he blew it, she would handle it herself, not leave it to Jace. "If you hurt me again, I'll feed you to my dragon," she whispered in his ear.
Aegon smiled. "I wouldn't dream of upsetting you."
Y/N pulled her head back but did not take her arms off his neck. She looked into Aegon's eyes. "You are everything I could have imagined."
Aegon felt his eyes well up. He might even have shed a few tears. But luckily it was raining. Neither Y/N nor Aegon could tell the difference.
Aegon dared not take his gaze from her eyes. It was as if she would disappear if he looked away for a second.
Her presence in his arms was unreal.
"I'm supposed to be saying nice things to you."
"You'd better get used to it."
"I think I can."
Aegon began to caress her waist with his thumbs. "May I kiss you?"
Y/N pulled Aegon to her by the neck. "Please."
Aegon pressed his lips to hers. The rain got heavier. Y/N was having a moment exactly like the books she had read.
Aegon's lips moved to her chin and jawline. He kissed where her neck met her chin. Y/N moaned slightly, and Aegon's grip on her waist tightened.
Y/N almost moaned again at Aegon's grip on her waist.
Aegon kissed her jawline again. Y/N threw her head back to make room for Aegon. Aegon licked a long line from her collarbones to her chin. Y/N felt herself melting in Aegon's arms.
He wrote down in his mind all the points where she had reacted. He would return to them many times later.
All Aegon wanted was to make her feel his love. And from her reaction, he thought he had succeeded.
Y/N stepped back. "Do you want to move to a more private place? I think we've shown the castle folk enough."
Aegon chuckled. "Which of our rooms would you like to move to?"
"Which of our rooms is closer?" Aegon took her hand, and together they walked into the castle.
They smiled as the warm air hit their faces as soon as they entered. They didn't even realize how cold it was outside.
Y/N’s smile froze on her face the moment she saw Jace. Next to him was a grinning Baela and an expressionless Aemond.
Jace was literally about to turn a tomato-like red.
"Brother," Y/N said.
It was clear that Jace was ready for an angry reply.
Aegon squeezed Y/N’s hand reassuringly. Aegon was about to speak when Y/N interrupted. "Jace, we've talked about everything. I love him, and he loves me."
"And you only realized you loved her after you broke her heart and made her suffer for two weeks?" He asked to Aegon.
Aemond looked at his brother briefly. "Jace, I assure you, Aegon was just as bad for two weeks."
Jace laughed nervously. "Was Cassandra Baratheon in this morning part of your brother's sad days, Aemond?" he said, looking directly at Aegon.
Y/N wanted to let go of Aegon's hand, but he wouldn't let her.
"Nothing is as you think."
Y/N felt her heart shatter again.
She was angry but more at herself than at Aegon. How could she have believed him?
Y/N was about to shout at Aegon when she heard Otto Hightower's voice from behind. "I sent her to Prince Aegon's room, and nothing happened between them. Except for today, Prince Aegon was completely alone."
Marrying his grandson to Rhaneyra Targaryen's daughter was a better option for him than marrying him a Baratheon.
Y/N looked at Aegon. He nodded desperately.
Y/N was a little relieved, but they would talk about it later.
"You're not just saying that to back up your grandson, are you, my lord?"
"No. I have witnesses. You can even speak directly to Lady Cassandra, princess."
Y/N felt a sigh of relief. She took Aegon's arm and pulled herself closer to him. "I hope you have a good explanation."
Jace's anger still hadn't subsided. "But-"
"Great news! What season would you like to get married?"
Y/N and Aegon turned at the King's voice.
The Queen, the King, Princess Rhaenyra, Lord Otto, and Prince Daemon stood side by side.
Y/N blushed, thinking they had seen their little interaction in the garden.
"How long have you been here?"
"Long enough to see my nephew stick his tongue down your throat," Daemon said.

WIP Wednesday
Tagged by @hircines-hunter 💜💜💜
(sighs and hangs head in shame) I had started this little gift for @i-simp-for-fennorian I don't even know how long ago, set it down for the night, and promptly forgot it was a thing that existed the next morning. Me happening upon it randomly the other day was probably a sign I need to finish it..... and my backlog of WIPs.....
I am so sorry. My memory is terrible.
It was Fennorian who figured it out before she did. After another episode where she nearly went feral, he sat Evelynn down on their bed and handed her her designated flask. As she gratefully took a less than ladylike swig, he gently questioned her; “What’s the matter, love? You’ve never done this before. I know you’re... somewhat recently turned, but…” She let out a heavy sigh as she stared at the wall. “I don’t know, honestly. My bloodlust is just… So intense now…” Evelynn shook her head to clear it, to try to make sense of what was happening. The dark, viscous fluid gradually warmed up her body and brought her back to her senses, though focusing on the aforementioned wall was much easier than thinking at the moment. Fenn quirked an eyebrow as he watched her; sudden and ferocious bloodlust, general exhaustion, brain fog. This was nothing he had encountered before- in a sane vampire, at least. As Evelynn started to softly ramble, mostly to herself, he blinked and his eyes glowed red. Perhaps if he could check her vitals, maybe it could give him a clue as to what was plaguing his beloved. He stared at her a moment while his Sight kicked in. Her face and body slowly began to blur, and Fennorian focused on what he could see inside her: Immediately there was no sign of poison, which was a great relief. The blood she’d just consumed was coursing through her veins, also normal. His eyes slowly scanned up and down her body as he took a slow sip from his flask. He used his tongue to swish it into his cheek while he concentrated, Evelynn’s Undead Essence softly throbbing like an aura around her nearly mesmerized him.

“Be quiet,” Aegon growled into the ear of the whore he chose to warm his bed this morning. The squelching sounds of his thrusts slamming into her cunt echoed throughout the room. She stifled a moan and dug her teeth into the pillow below her head. Her voice did nothing, only reminded him he wasn’t you. Aegon tried to get girls who resembled you but none pleased him the same.
Today was an especially bad day for Aegon and mayhaps he was taking it out on the whore too much. Her cheeks were stained red from his slaps and surely her cervix would be bruised by how hard he was pounding himself into her. He had good reason though; you were returning home.
It took five years, but he almost was able to move forward with his life. You still plagued him in his dreams and there was a constant tugging at his heart everytime your name was brought up. You simply existing reminded him of the only time he was ever happy, and he clung to the memory like a baby clings to their mother's tit.
His family was very determined to keep you away. It worked successfully, he hadn’t heard nor seen from you at all. Every letter, every flight, every potential unsavory way of stalking your whereabouts was immediately dispelled. That was only within the first year, at some point he gave up. Aegon knew you would come back at some point; you were in love with him. But days, weeks, months, and years passed and still he received nothing.
The idea they had turned you against him murdered the last bit of hope he had. It was one of the many things that formed him into the ‘monster’ everyone believed him to be. The first was being born the first son yet being ignored for his elder sister his entire life. The night at Driftmark was the second trauma that seared a mark into his heart and brother's face forever. The third was the forceful marriage to his sister.
Aegon scarcely remembers that day or the night afterwards. He used milk of the poppy to ease his mind to the point he could hardly stand during the vows… he doesn’t know if he actually attended the first dance. He does remember the bedding and it makes his skin crawl.
He was forced to walk into and perform his own rape. He didn’t want it and would never want it. There was no daydream or drug strong enough to make him forget. It was awful in every sense of the word. Aegon cried during it and then he cried after it. No matter how much he scrubbed himself in the bathing chambers he could not free himself of the feeling of disgust. Then there was the overwhelming guilt that came after.
Aegon never touched her again, never really interacted with his own children. Why would he? He was an accomplice in her suffering as much as his own. She didn’t want to marry him either, she didn’t want to bear his children. He could never be a good husband, lover or anything of the sort to Helaena. She deserved it, he thought, to have someone who could care for her. Someone who could love her like a wife… not like a sibling.
But that would never be him and it ate him alive like the disease killing their father. She was too kind, too pure for him or any other man at court. She was stupid, yes, but with a larger heart than any of the women he’s met combined. Yet, he never brought himself to do his duty to stay loyal and cherish her like Alicent told him to. The only good thing he ever did for Hel was leaving her alone, it made her happy to be free of him. In truth, it would make everyone happier if the world was rid of him completely.
Maybe his life wasn’t over yet, maybe there was still a shred of hope for him left in the world. The reason he used to be happy was returning to him. Even if it was to marry another man… He could sort that out easily enough. When Aegon first heard the news, he wasn’t as calm. He
He could take back what was his and become the man everyone wants him to be… Or he’ll drag you down into his depravity with him. It didn’t matter, either option was a severe improvement from the existence he was currently suffering.
“Are you ready to be back?” Jacaerys inquired whilst trying to tame the loose curls on his head. The carriage ride from the doc to the keep had proved to be dreadfully long and boring. Luke was seeping anxiety that made the entire car tense. ‘Aemond, Aemond, Aemond, he’s gonna take my eye! He’s gonna kill me if I go back!’ The chants of a scared kid really did threaten to send you over the edge. ‘Just apologize, Lucerys... He’s not going to do anything while grandsire is alive. Nothing is going to happen, just say sorry before it does.’
Everything you said fell on deaf ears. His fear was expected, he took his uncle's eye and received no punishment. Granted, after hearing both sides it seemed inevitable for someone to get gravely injured. You still genuinely believed or at least convinced yourself a simple apology might just keep Luke alive for a few more years. “No brother, I would rather be at home,” you muttered in a near whisper.
Jace, always the obedient son, was oozing confidence completely unbothered by the situation. He learned that from Daemon, never let them see you falter, especially the Hightower cunts. “It’s because of him, isn’t it?”
Your heart clenched, a sorrowful reminder of your childhood beginning to boil to the surface. A whirlwind of memories threatening to break you.
You learned how truly codependent you were on your uncle. Without him you had become a shell of whatever it was you once were. Your insecurities reigned supreme as you had an insatiable need for approval from everyone. That meant doing everything you were asked and then some to become the greatest version of yourself you could be. You took care of people, especially your brothers whom you felt the full burden for. You were the eldest and you allowed them into a situation that got them hurt and another child maimed.
It wasn’t just your insecurities; your moods would take a turn quicker than before. At the drop of a hat, you could be raging or hysterically crying. Sometimes you didn’t even understand why. You became obsessive over little things that didn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. For example: how your dresses were fitted, how your hair was styled, and what you ate and drank. It wasn’t in the front of your mind at the time, but you did things in the way he always preferred.
Without him, deciding on things became hard. You never needed to think before because he did it for you. Not only that but you became a chronic liar. It wasn’t on purpose, sometimes things would just slip out. You were great at denying any problems you had and chalking them up to your blood moon. You denied any relationship with Aegon and defended him more than he deserved. Especially since he so carelessly abandoned you. No letters, no visits, he left you with fucking nothing. You started to convince yourself you never loved him; it was just pity. You had a burning desire to rescue him and mistook it for genuine affections.
Four years ago, almost to this very day the invitation to the prince and princess’s wedding had just reached your doorstep. You learned that day just how much you did love him because when the letter was read you cried so much you vomited. You stopped eating, stopped sleeping, stopped doing all the things you love and rotted in your bed waiting for the pain to subside… Or for the stranger to take you.
The image of him touching her the same way he did you, the idea of him whispering the same things he did to you, the way she would cry out his name like you did… It made you want to rip your hair out and peel your skin off. She probably had an extremely elegant dress; the throne room was probably filled with music and guests, and they would ride their dragons together to show off their union… You tore all the clothes he liked to shreds and punched a hole in your mirror…
Originally, you never had any disdain for your exceedingly kind and misunderstood aunt but now it was pure untamed hatred. The jealousy was incredible, truly you would be confined to a prison cell if you acted on the things you thought up.
You could kill both of them and end the war before it even started. You prayed she would miscarry the twins, it didn’t happen. You prayed he would get too drunk and die from alcohol poisoning, obviously it didn’t happen. You prayed the entire keep would be set on fire and everyone within it would die burning in flames just as your father did… it did not.
You were never good enough for him. He abandoned you and left you to rot after taking something so important from you. You were a fool, a naive idiot. The fear of being abandoned personified ever more when your mother gave birth to two legitimate children. Everyone was going to abandon you and it was driving you insane. You had mastered the art of pretending, no one was able to tell what was underneath the surface.
Jacaerys was really the only person who noticed the change. He was the only one who saw through your lies and facade. And he was the only one who genuinely helped you overcome the complete insanity you had sunk into. He pulled you out from drowning in a sea of madness and kept you afloat ever since. In turn, you felt a little guilty for your wicked thoughts and desires, but you were atoning for them by good will and actions.
Still, sometimes late at night when you were alone, he would come back. The memories would come flooding in and sleep would evade you. He had burned a scar into your heart that never fully healed and probably never would. According to your mother who said the first heartbreak is always the worst and most memorable. You didn’t want to come back. You didn’t ever want to see Aegon Targaryen again.
“No, it’s because- ” You hit your head on the back of the car, knocking the air out of your lungs. The carriage came to a halt, catapulting Lucerys forward into the other seat. Jacaerys bursted into uncontrollable laughter as he rubbed his forehead from the impact.
It was a great start to a visit, a crash landing. Surely, not foreshadowing the rest of your adventure. As you unpiled from the carriage a welcome party stood there waiting for you. It was unexpected, seeing your grandsire there in decent health, you heard he was much worse.
Then there were the Hightowers, looking as if they wanted to be anywhere but here. Your eyes scanned over them one by one, Alicent wore her plastered fake smile as usual, Otto stood too stiffly and only looked at Daemon, Aemond looked ready to murder you all. He was far different from what you remembered, tall, slender, and handsome even with one eye.
Then there was Helaena… Completely disassociated from whatever was happening and mumbling under her breath. You smiled, the rage you felt before when you imagined her was gone. You had actually healed and successfully moved forward. This was good, so great you could even hug her…
Until your eyes moved to her left. The sunken feeling in your chest blossomed into a new monster threatening to devour you. Your smile faded; your heart began erratically pumping blood to all parts of your body. Your knees locked in place trying to keep your balance.
Aegon… Aegon was only ten feet away and yet there seemed to be miles between you. It was a joke, a great joke, he looked more gorgeous than he ever had. His hair was cut to frame his face perfectly, his jaw was more defined, his dark circles brought out the beautiful sea blue that surrounded his pupils.
The smile that adorned his face was larger than any you had seen him wear prior. His eyes twinkled with childlike glee. The corset you wore became suffocatingly tight and the heat in King’s Landing began to make your head spin. Your breathing was rapid, a million emotions coursing their way through your head.
Aegon took a step down the stairs, your body wanted to flee but you were frozen in time. Another step, all the air in your body left you. A third step made all the bile in your stomach rise to your throat. His feet touched the ground, and he strode towards you, the world started to spin, your mind racing with the worst possible outcomes.
You blinked, for a mere second. You reminded yourself it had been five years; he had no hold on you anymore. He was a monster, a terrible man and a worse son. Aegon was not going to get under your skin, you were not going to falter in front of him. You were better now, you moved on, you were mentally healthy…
You opened your eyes, inhaling a deep breath. He was one pace in front of you, “Niece.”
Disappointment, Aegon was riddled with it every day and today was no expectation. He was so excited his soul wanted to jump out of its skin. But no, the second he approached you passed out and all the sudden he was the villain. What could he have possibly done a foot away to make you faint?
Unless you were too excited to see him, your heartbeat too fast and you fainted. It would make the most sense, reuniting with the person you truly love would send anyone over the edge. It almost made him faint when he first laid eyes upon you.
Gods you were so much more beautiful than he could have imagined. You had grown into a gorgeous woman, easily the prettiest one at court. Your eyes sparkled like diamonds, your hair flowed perfectly down your face, and your cheeks still flushed bright pink when you saw him.
Your dress hugged your figure in all the right places and the things he imagined laid beneath made him insatiably horny. Control, he had to remind himself it’d been years and he needed that. It was hard considering the two days you’d been here he had only seen one glimpse. One quick glimpse in the courtyard before you were stolen away again.
Your chambers were only a few hallways away and he could see you anytime he wanted. And yet, Aegon had to plot when to corner you. There was not only a hoard of guards following you around every step you took but Jacaerys clung to your skirts like a lost orphan.
So, he waited and waited… and fucking waited until he was practically ripping the hair from his skull. The lack of your presence was okay on the first day, the second it was tolerable but by the third day it became suspicious. Impatient and spoiled, his mother’s words rang true more and more each day.
It was increasingly clear that it wasn’t just them keeping you from him, but you were putting extra care into avoiding him. What did he do wrong? The stalking? The letters? The gifts that were never opened. It was all obvious professions of love… Why would you be uncomfortable with that?
Aegon was nursing another goblet of wine as he sunk to the floor. His face felt wet as if he were crying… Was he crying? His body to the point of numbness he could not tell any longer. Sadly, it seemed the wine was not working to cure the ever-disheartening thoughts in his mind.
You were going to get married and forget all about him. They hadn’t given him a single opportunity to attempt to carve his way back into your heart and most likely weren’t going to. What was the reason for living at this point? The one thing he yearned to touch was so close yet so far.
He scoffed at himself. Aegon was no tragic poet, but he was beginning to sound like one. It was the alcohol, a new type probably causing his episode. He went to grasp the corner of the table to stand up, but his legs could no longer withstand his weight. The contents on the table along with his own body fell to the floor.
Not one of his proudest moments to date.
“You’re pathetic,” an irritating voice laced with superiority drew him out of his head. “Brother, have you come to visit your- I mean my children? They aren’t here.” Aemond clenched his jaw once, twice until he let out a deep breath. There was no point in arguing with Aegon, there was no winning against someone fueled by pure delusions.
He would never come to see his- Aegon’s children in his room. They would be with their sweet mother far away from the monstrosity they called dad. “We’re all being forced to attend her wedding tourney.”
“When?” Aegon’s eyes lit up and the sunken expression finally lifted. “At dawn,” Aemond took a step back before the smell of wine, sweat and uncleanliness of three days seeped into his nose. “For the love of the seven take a bath!”
Hope, there was still hope left in the world! All of the sudden he had awakened, the whimpering pathetic mess he was a few moments ago was long forgotten. The gears in his brain began turning…
As Aemond strode out of Aegon’s chambers a new plan formed into the mind of the monster himself… “Little brother,” he sang with a cruelty only Aegon could possess. “Will our dear uncle Gwayne be participating?”
-
Aemond did not loathe his brother as much as everyone believed he did. Yes, he was jealous Aegon the wastrel was first born, and he was not. Yes, he was jealous Helaena was forced to marry the pig instead of him. No, he did not blame his brother for any of this. Solidarity was exceedingly important in times like these, future succession wars and all.
What he learned was, Aegon hated being married to Helaena as much as she did. Aegon didn’t want to be king and would gladly give it to Aemond if the time came. Lastly, as sad as Aegon could be he was fiercely loyal to his family. If it came down to it Aemond knew his brother would die for them… or take an eye instead.
“Has he stopped wallowing in his sorrow?” Even when she insulted people Helaena’s voice sounded like angels in his ear. “No, though he has come up with another borderline war crime plan.” She let out a deep sigh as she fiddled with the needle she used to sew. “Should I ask?”
“He’s urging Gwayne to kill the Fiance before they have a chance to wed.” Helaena stifled a laugh; she should be offended he would dishonor her or even vengeful since her husband dare tried to intervene on another woman’s affairs. Instead, she bit her lip from smiling, “I should be glad she is not as deranged as him or I may not be here today.”
Aemond rose from his seat and sat down next to her. His long fingers gently caressed the side of her face, pushing back the strands that obscured his view of her violet eyes. “I would kill her before she could ever lift a finger.”
Helaena gently tugged Aemond’s hands away from her face, cupping them in her lap. “Aems you are far too serious. She’s still as sweet as a rose I hear…”
There was a sudden silence between them, not uncomfortable in the slightest but eerily still, nonetheless. If Helaena was being honest with herself, she felt terribly for you. She couldn’t imagine what pain he had caused or what exactly he had done to cause you to faint at the mere sight of him.
She could imagine, Helaena simply wished not to burden herself with those thoughts. You were her savior in a weird sense of the word. Because of your existence her brother did not attempt to bed her or force heirs upon her, he did not touch her, he did not bother her unless requested of him. You kept his mind preoccupied, so she wasn’t completely trapped in a horrid marriage such as her mothers. Aegon was a good brother and only a brother… Sometimes she worried what would happen if you ceased to exist.
Still, she was trapped in a marriage. Aemond and Helaena had two vastly different reasons for wanting you around. Helaena wanted to see Aegon content, happy even if they were lucky. And if things happened the way it did in her dreams… Their marriage would be annulled and you two could wed and she could continue to do as she pleased with the father of her children. A fairytale but she was known for being the dreamer.
Aemond simply wanted his brother to get off his fucking ass and do something with his life. He wanted him to stop whoring, to stop pushing away duties, and to start taking matters seriously. The only way he was going to do that was if his favorite toy was promptly returned to him. You also kept Aegon far away from his beloved Helaena, that was merely a bonus.
If he had to choose, obviously he would have not chosen his brother to become obsessed with one of the bastards, it couldn’t be helped anymore. The seeds of whatever drug Aegon made you take to enjoy him had already been planted. The spell you used to seduce him had already begun working.
At the very least you defended them… somewhat. It was enough to make him wish you were dead even less. He had to remind himself, though you were a bastard and related to his sworn enemy, you were also just a woman. As his mother once said, ‘all women are created in the image of the mother and to be spoken of with reverence… And to be treated as such!’
Aemond let out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding. “We’re going to find a convoluted way to help him, aren’t we?” Helaena hummed to herself for a moment, was there any way they could really help you? “Do you believe she is distant because she believes he abandoned her?”
They gazed at each other for a moment, a silent agreement. You were easy to read, at least to the dreamer herself… “Yes Aems, I think we are.”
The dress you were forced into was unbearably tight, the summer sun had seeped through the red fabric and your blood felt as if it was boiling. The royal stand was too crowded, too many unwelcome faces and bodies suffocating you. The noise of horses and knights preparing to show off for your favor made your ears ache. Unbearable, that was the best way you could describe your current predicament.
The fainting spell was enough to have your mother confine you to chambers. She knew, your brothers knew, the Hightowers knew, everyone in the entire keep could see through you both. At every single turn you were specifically swayed far away from your uncle. Absolutely no contact, especially since you were to be married.
That’s what the entire day was for, to celebrate you being sold off to a son of Dorne. If the heat in King’s Landing doesn’t kill you first, then surely the sun there will do the job. You hoped your death would come sooner rather than late.
If the day could not go any worse the sound of someone taking a seat next to you caused you to flinch. You could smell him, practically taste the wine emitting off of him. Then there was the seat to your left, the scent of flowers filled your nose. Your eyes stayed glued to your hands. You didn’t dare move or breathe…
A gentle hand that was as soft as a feather pillow touched yours. “Don’t be nervous.” Helaena, of all the people in the world you did not expect her to say such. Especially now, since you were separating husband and wife or did, they purposely do this to torment you further? “If I’m sitting in your place I can move, princess.”
You kept your head turned to her, trying your hardest to ignore the one sitting far too close to your right. Where was your mother? Your brothers? Where was your family to rescue you? “Nonsense! I purposely asked Jacaerys to let me sit next to you.” To the right, you could feel two violet eyes burning holes into the back of your skull.
“How lovely,” you muttered out trying to find your family from the corner of your eyes. How in the seven hells was he next to you? You turned your body towards the crowd, an invisible shield in your mind blocking you from turning the other way.
Behind you, your entire family was in the row above staring daggers into Aegon. Of course, he stole Lucerys seat before he had a chance to protest. The sound of trumpets blaring, and the weakened voice of your grandsire distracted you, momentarily from the hell you were living in.
A warm and soft hand was placed over your own. Dragging your nails from tarnishing the skin around them. “Afraid your husband to be is going to lose?” It felt as though a bolt of lightning shot down your back. You bit your lip, no you wanted him to lose and potentially be stabbed in a duel. You actually want to be stabbed too right now.
Milk of the poppy was your savior. That’s what had been prescribed to keep you grounded. It’s why you’re not currently on the floor unconscious. It's why you decided to engage in conversation instead of keeping your mouth shut. It's why you let his hands caress your own and bask in the warmth they provided. It wasn’t you; it was the medication.
“Why aren’t you participating in the tourney?” You could feel a smile curve onto his face, though you swore not to look. “Why would I? Do you want me to compete for your favor?” You turned to look at him, shocked by the accusation you would want him of all people competing for you. That was a fantasy of children, a dead one at that.
A mistake was made when you glanced at him. Gods, he was beautiful in the most pathetic way possible. The dark circles, the smug smile, the unruly hair, the piercing eyes and the jaw with just a tad of baby fat encompassing it. You forgot his lady wife sitting next to you, you forgot your family watching you. For a moment, it was just you looking at the pretty monster who ruined you. A shimmer of hope, a memory of childhood championship bubbled to the surface.
“No Aegon, I think you would lose,” you jested. His eyes sparkled; his subtle grin turned into a wide blinding smile. “I think I already have your favor.” Your mouth parted to speak, cheeks brimming red from the implication.
Down below the sounds of cracking shields and screams of pain stifled by armor were becoming the loudest noise. A Blackwood had just begun a duel with a Bracken and… his entrails were staining the tan colored sand a dark shade of crimson. You felt bile rising up in your throat as you unconsciously tightened your drip on Aegon’s hand. An act that didn’t go unnoticed and was quickly returned.
“Not a fan of bloodshed?” His voice sounded softer, almost kind versus his usual unserious tone. He was staring at the side of your face and his eyes shone with mild concern combined with amusement. Aegon was always one for violence, not you. By no means were you against it, seeing the insides of someone’s stomach simply didn’t suit your fancy.
“And the day grows ugly…” Helaena let out a deep sigh as she gazed at the scene below. Her voice made you quickly realize how disrespectful you were being towards their marriage. In a second, your hand was ripped out of his grasp and placed firmly on your lap. Avoid, you avoided both of their looks and your gaze moved strictly forward.
You could have sworn you saw a flash of Aemond’s eyepatch and his fingers patting at her knee. Oddly enough, you were very suspicious of brother and sister relationships considering the family you were born into. Thank heavens you were amongst the normal ones… almost.
“You’re not wrong, Hel. You’re not wrong.” Aegon’s voice had lost all its original sympathetic tone as his lips formed into a pout like a spoiled brat. “Princess! Your favor would surely help me win this tournament if you could be so kind.”
The sound of your fiancés voice made you want to sink into the abyss of your mind and let it swallow you. Maybe even feed yourself to Vhagar much like your late aunt Laena did. Aegon looked worse, enraged and annoyed to the utmost level.
His body moved slowly towards your fiancée, and you swore if looks could kill he would be dead. You didn’t flinch or falter this time. You no longer frowned at the sight of the man you were supposed to marry. In fact, you were bubbling with joy.
The second Martell son held a huge smile while he waited for you to place your favor on his lance. You did your best to make a spectacle out of it, wishing him luck as loudly as you could. Your mother was smiling proudly, surely congratulating herself on a fine match she had made.
She didn’t understand, you weren’t happy because of him. You were happy to see Aegon leaking envy from his pores with the most miserable look on his face. Now he was feeling exactly what you did and it felt fucking fantastic. You gracefully sat back in place with a smile that went ear to ear.
“Would you like to place a bet on who will win, uncle?” He shifted in place, his eyes following the black mare your fiancée rode. “I don’t intend on betting coins, niece.” An awfully smug look creeped onto his face. “What are we betting?”
Aegon leaned into you, so his mouth nearly brushed over your ear. His breath was heavy and laced with confidence. His whispers sent a shiver up your spine that glued you in place. “If Gwayne Hightowers knocks your beloved husband off his horse I get to claim you in front of everyone.”
“…”
Your breath hitched in your throat as the world paused. Heat rose from the tips of your toes to the very top of your head, radiating in all directions. The drugs were no longer keeping your very unstable emotions at bay. Your cheeks were not just flushed by the idea but from the crushing reminder he was not yours to claim. He was stolen from you and didn’t mind until you showed back up. No letters, no secret rendezvous, no gifts on name days or holidays… To Aegon it was always just a game.
A game he was still fucking playing at your own expense. Could he not see he had done enough? He had ruined what sliver of self-respect you had years ago? What else was there for him to take besides your life. Your original despair turned into something hateful, “My husband will win and when he does you have to stay away from me for as long as I’m here.”
His mouth hung agape as he was trying to debate this completely unfair bet. Aegon was going to make a jest, defend himself or anything really before the trumpets blared loud enough for the deaf to hear. “Hmph,” you turned in your seat, stone faced, chin held high, completely ignoring his presence to watch the knights begin to mount their horses.
Ser Gwayne Hightower was wearing a suit of armor and a green cape. Gwayne’s helm was in the shape of a lantern… It looked completely ridiculous. His horse wasn’t stupid, it was a powerful white charger, and his lance appeared to be held firmly in his grip. From all the stories you’ve heard, he was an amazing knight. He’d won many tourneys in the past and nearly knocked down Daemon once.
Your fiancée was on the other side, and he certainly did stand out… The golden decor on his armor was perhaps a bit much and he refused to wear a helm. His horse was beautiful albeit not as powerful as the charger. It wasn’t looking very good.
You were too busy praying to the seven for mercy when the two horses took off. In a flash their lances connected, and poor Quentyn was nearly thrown off. You heard a snicker from the corner, and you whipped your head to stare at the smirk plastered all over Aegon’s face. “Heh look at that!” No fucking way, no way in the names of any god would he get to do anything with you. “Fuck you, uncle,” the venom laced words seeped out of your mouth before you could contain them. Your perfect facade was beginning to break so quickly.
“That can be arranged.” You gritted your teeth and your nostrils flared. Seeing him win in anyway made you want to snatch a sword and shove it right between his fucking…
“We have a winner!”
The crowd erupted into deafening cheers, and you forgot whatever your last thought was. You stood up from your seat to gaze at the ground and surely enough…
“Quentyn Martell has won the favor of the Princess!”
Heh heh heh…. You turned to look at him with a smirk only the divine could wear, “I win.”
He miss stepped, Aegon had completely misread the situation at hand. Her mind had been completely poisoned by those… those cunts! And Gwayne completely fumbled the fucking tourney. This added more layers to the issues already at hand. Firstly, her husband needed to go and fast. Secondly, he had to untaint her mind. Thirdly, how the hell was he going to keep her here with him? Aegon only had a single day and night to do it…
CRASH
Another empty goblet of wine was thrown into the wall. The small shards covered the floor like winter snow tainted by red droplets of wine. The prince was raging and drinking… ceaselessly. “For the love of the seven will you sit down!” Aemond watched unamused, on the edge of storming out himself at this display. It was getting annoying how easily irritated his brother was becoming. Aegon stomped across, “We have to kill him… Preferably sooner rather than late.”
“We could tell the truth about her virtue and have a Septon annul the marriage… avoid making any unnecessary enemies.” Aegon pivoted to stare at Aemond, face void of any signs of agreement. “Yes, and besmirch her reputation in the process… Ha! That will surely make her crawl into my bed.”
Aemond really fucking hated sarcasm above all forms of conversation. “Oh, great manipulative tactician, what exactly were you thinking?” His steps paused as he toyed with the knife he kept on belt. He wasn’t a genius nor was he overly capable of manipulation like his grandfather…
“It can only work if she is obsessed with me again.” The younger brother let out a groan, rubbing his face with both his hands. “What exactly are you planning to do?”
A wicked smirk curled its way onto his lips. His pupils momentarily turned dark, “Not I, dear brother, what are you going to do.” Aemond lowered his hands, so his eye picked through, raising an eyebrow.
—
“This won’t do,” Rhaenyra declared as she tossed another necklace laced with jewels onto the floor of your chambers. “Mother!” you gaped as the expensive piece fell to the floor. She pursed her lips together, fingers grazing the delicate jewelry laid before you. “My first born, my only daughter is getting married… Tacky crystals won’t do.” You sunk deeper into your chair, twirling your wet hair in between your fingers.
Rhaenyra closely examined a few more pieces, none of which suited her exquisite taste. She turned to you, her eyebrows creasing together. “You look more pale than usual.” You looked up at her and her eyes were laced with concern. One thing about your mother is that you could never lie to her. She knew you more than you knew yourself. The slightest bit of discomfort she could snuff out and exile it from your mind.
“I haven’t been sleeping well as of late.” Her gentle hands went to comb through your hair. “If you changed your mind and don’t wish to get married, I could always have Daemon, take care of it.” You choked up a laugh, “threatening murder on my wedding day? How very festive.”
A small smile made her lips curve upwards. She let out a breath, plucking a necklace off the counter and holding it to your neck. “Is it him?” The dragon necklace made of diamonds laced with gold details seemed to taunt you. “No, he hasn’t bothered me at all.” A bold-faced lie that your mother could see through instantaneously. Rhaenyra wrapped the necklace around your throat and clasped it in the back. “Really? He seemed to bother you at the tourney.”
The necklace seemed to be choking you though it wasn’t tight at all. It would have been something you wore if you were getting married to him instead. A golden dragon paying homage to Sunfyre… “Just playful banter. Honestly it went far better than expected.”
She looked as if she was about to contest what you said but three knocks at the door caught both your attention. It slowly creaked open revealing a maid no older than fifteen. She stood meekly in the entrance shifting eyes between your mother and yourself.
“I didn’t mean to disturb you; the king requested your presence.” Your mother raised her brow, questioning the situation at hand. You gave a nearly unnoticeable nod, reassuring her everything was all right. She clapped her hands together, “You’re not disturbing anyone! My love I’ll return shortly.”
Rhaenyra strided out the door with the confidence only a queen could possess. You envied the way she carried herself no matter the situation. You slumped back down into your chair staring at yourself in the grandiose mirror. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad having Daemon rid you of your husband… If anything, he would probably take pride in having something to hold over your head.
But a war was brewing, it was an inevitable fact that no one could deny and soon it would be impossible to ignore. You needed the dornish alliance, and you were the perfect bargaining chip… Curse the seven for making you a woman.
“You look like you’re in agony. Already getting the wedding blues?” It’s no use asking how he snuck in, it’s no use asking why he was here, and it’s absolutely no fucking use to start panicking. “Uncle, I thought we had an agreement.” His steps were light, almost frolicking to stand behind your seat in front of the vanity. Aegon’s face was the ideal image of serenity, you couldn’t say the same for yourself.
“It’s your wedding day! Surely, I can offer my congratulations on this joyous day.” There wasn’t an honest way you could describe the pain within your chest. It felt as if a blade had carved a hole within your heart that refused to heal. A dark abyss threatening to swallow you whole. He wasn’t meant to be happy; you were supposed to be cheery. Aegon was meant to pin after you until he died… Not move on and get married, have children, and celebrate your own wedding.
You didn’t feel the tears quietly falling from your eyes or the way your lip was quivering. His hand moved to graze your shoulder, but you jumped out of your seat, snapping your head back to face him. “Don’t touch me!” He put his hands up in mock surrender, “W-woah…”
“Did you come here to torment me some more? Do you revel watching me be so miserable?” He stumbled back, muttering some incoherent apology that fell on deaf ears. “You abandoned me! You left me like a dog and went to go playhouse with your perfect fucking family, perfect fucking wife and two perfect children.”
One of the many things you were shouting must have triggered something within him. Aegon grabbed your shoulders with such force you almost buckled under their grip. He shook you like a child would shake their pet if it stopped listening. “Perfect? Have you become fucking delusional? What part of a forced marriage to your sister sounds perfect to you?!”
“Let me go! Don’t- fucking touch me!” You shouted in between sobs. “No! You’re telling me you’ve been ignoring me for years because you’re fucking jealous?” You swatted at his face, attempting to grab him by his hair to pull him down. Poor idea, Aegon always thought violence was exciting. Somewhere amidst the fight you ended up wrestling on the ground shouting curses at one another.
“I hate you! I would never be jealous of you!” Aegon shiftly straddled you and began fighting to grab your wrists again. To make it all the more unbearable the bastard was smiling. “Bullshit! It’s seeping off of you.” You bit down on his hand that came just a little too close to your mouth. He growled, slamming on wrists behind your head. “Seven hells will you calm down and listen!”
You writhed underneath him, albeit with less screams of curses. This rather pathetic display went on for only another minute before he forced his lips onto yours. It was rough, mainly teeth clashing together and lips fighting against one another. Part of you wished it could continue, to relive your past one more time before you were sold off.
The other part of you bit his lip hard enough to draw blood. Aegon relented, a droplet of blood staining his swollen bottom lip. Whatever spell he had put on you had worked; you were quiet and unusually still. “Look at me.” You turned your head to face the wall, refusing to be trapped by those damned eyes. “Look at me!” Begrudgingly, after being shouted at, you looked at him. “My marriage is not happy. I swear on my own life I only bedded her once. I was so drunk I can’t even remember if it truly happened…”
“More lies… You have two children.” He scoffed, looking around the room as if asking the seven for patience. “Oh, for the love of- Do you really think those are mine? Just look at them!” Aegon appeared unbelievably desperate for you to believe him. His eyes frantically searching yours for any comfort…
The twins did appear more similar to one brother than the other… Jaehaera herself was a spitting image of Helaena only. “I don’t believe you…” His face dropped as if you had taken an arrow to his heart. “But it wouldn’t matter if I did. I’m getting married tonight.” A foolish course of action on your part because you gave him hope. A dangerous thing if given to the wrong people and he was by far the wrong person.
He pressed his mouth against you once more, this time his soft lips caressed your own gently. The taste of wine and iron coated your tastebuds, and it wasn’t at all displeasing. It was comforting, like a hug from an old friend. He pulled his right hand away from your wrist, almost giving you time to escape. But the second your arm moved he grabbed it with his left. A gentle, almost comfortable, kiss was turning into a desperate one.
Aegon’s tongue slid into your mouth doing circles with your own. Your breaths quickened as he began to nibble on your bottom lip, pulling it between his teeth and then kissing it before letting go again. His hands slid down to your thighs, cupping them firmly in his warm palms and massaging their shape. You shivered when his fingers brushed against your most sensitive area, it had been so long since anyone had touched you.
The wedding you were supposed to be attending today became a distant memory as he kissed you senseless. His lips trailed across your jawline and down your neck, leaving a trail of fire in its wake. When his nose grazed yours again you found yourself trembling with need.
“You have missed me,” he whispered breathlessly. You wanted to say no, that your body was betraying you but when his fingers grazed your unclothed cunt all you could mutter was “ah, ah, ah~”
His tongue flicked out and traced up the side of your neck, then back down. He slipped his tongue inside of your ear, and then swallowed down all of your words. His fingers began gently teasing at your clit, sliding between your wet folds, rubbing it painstakingly slow. You whimpered into his mouth, begging him to do more.
Aegon wasn’t supposed to give it all to you so easily but… Forcing in a few fingers was far from all he could do. He began thrusting his fingers in and out of your slick folds, making sure to tease your clit each time. His eye had a wicked gleam to them watching you come undone underneath him, “you think you’ll be happy with another man? You think he’ll be able to please you like I do?”
You opened your mouth but all that came out was a muffled cry. “No one knows your body like I do. No one can ever please you like I do.” His fingers moved swifter curling up to hit the sweet spot inside of you. Your legs buckled around him as you began to moan ceaselessly. A wicked smile took over his features, “be honest with yourself everytime you try to fuck another man you’ll be imagining me, my lips, my tongue, my fingers and my cock inside of you.”
Your arms fell limply by your sides, the world spinning in circles as a delicious haze descended upon you. Your hips moved of their own accord, grinding against his fingers as he continued to push them deeper inside of you. “I’ve already ruined you, what other man could want you? Who do you belong to? Say it!”
“Y-You! Aegon! I belong to you.” You cried out in pleasure, your voice echoing through the room. He pressed his lips against you once more, swallowing all the noises you made as your cunt tightened around his thick fingers. “That’s a good little girl,” He purred as your orgasm washed over you.
“Aegon…” You breathed, your head lolling to the side as he pulled his fingers out of your quivering pussy. He sat up, face returning to its usual expression of complete nonchalant. “I’ll give you time to get all dressed up, recite vows you do not mean with a stranger, dance until your heart's content and then I’m taking back what’s rightfully mine.”
He leaped off of you swiftly, lazily fixing his hair and wiping the blood from his mouth. You propped yourself up on your elbows, “What in the seven hells?” Aegon smiled at you, but it wasn’t one of genuine joy. It was sick with cruel eyes behind it. “You’ll see.”
The seeds of doubt had been planted into your mind and had already begun to sprout. The once joyous occasion was quickly turning into a fucking nightmare. To be Frank, you really wish you were dead instead of standing up here reciting vows you did not mean. It was awkward, unbelievably awkward. For five years your beloved had been pining for you and you were too blind to see it.
Or it was all a sick joke being played on you. Which one was worse you did not know. Your entire family stood there, smiling, your mother nearly on the verge of tears seeing her only daughter preparing to start a family of her own… Gods, is this how Aegon felt all these years knowing he was the disappointment? You had been completely soiled and yet here you stand with your new husband… Aegon’s scent and markings weren’t even fully off of you!
The entire ceremony was eerily calm. No random bursts of violence or protests to your union. Which means your uncle may or may not intend to murder and or maim this man tonight. Any sound of mind woman would be sick at the thought and run for aid… Obviously you were not at all that type of girl. Currently you were jumping out of your skin waiting for him to finally arrive and rescue you.
The only issue was, he never did show up. Not for the first kiss, not for the first dance, not for the speech his father was barely able to make or the feast itself… Did he intend to ignore you until it was all over?
____________________________________
Aegon was unbelievably late to the wedding celebration. It was on purpose; he had a few loose strings he needed to tie before he arrived. For once he was sober and painstakingly polite as he walked in. It is fair to mention he had the servants meticulously fix his normal disheveled appearance so he could make an impression on you.
When Aegon first entered the great hall, his eyes were immediately drawn to the center of the room, where a grand table adorned in the finest gold sits on a raised dais. The royal table is flanked on either side by rich red tapestries, ornately embroidered with the sigils of the houses respectively. If only he could burn all of the dornish banners with Sunfyre.
As he moved throughout the room, Aegon was struck by the attention to detail. Everywhere you looked, you saw the sign of the union between two powerful houses, a testament to the joyous occasion for which this room has been decked out. It was fucking disgusting and Aegon wanted to puke on it.
The throne room was filled to the brim with Lords and Ladies alike from all across the realm. In the center, just in front of the throne sat the royal table. On the opposing sides of the room were the packed tables for the highly esteemed guests. The middle of the room was cleared for dancing and eventually the marriage itself…
He wished he could throw himself into the spikes of the throne. Instead, he had to slither his way through the crowds to make way to the table. Aegon was tired of waiting, He was tired of hearing your family gawk at the well-made match and he was especially tired of doing nothing. Your husband would be dealt with in due time, but he hadn’t the patience to pretend not to be itching to speak to you, to touch you, anything but sit here and fucking watch.
He finally pulled himself up onto the podium and marched his way in front of you. You seemed stunned, miserable, in awe of his beauty. All of which were better than you being happy to be wed. "I'm insulted you have yet to ask me to dance, uncle." His lips twisted into his usual overly confident smile. “didn’t want to disturb the happy couple so soon.”
Your eyes rolled into the back of your skull as you stuck out your hand waiting for him to take it. There were stares from certain people of course, those who knew what happened at Driftmark and potentially before. You didn’t really care anymore.
For a moment, he was the perfect gentleman. Placing his hands in only the proper places and spinning you around the floor with ease. If you were a normal family, this would be a sweet interaction between relatives… But you were twisted and Targaryens. “You know, I’m putting more effort into this dance than my own wedding.” You scoffed, “Oh joy, surely no one will find this suspicious at all.”
Aegon’s face mirrored disgust as he glanced around you. “Is something the matter?” He rolled his eyes, "Your dearly beloved is gawking." You stood on your tiptoes to glance over his shoulder. Surely enough, the pretty dornish prince was smiling ear to ear watching you…"Do something about it."
The mischievous look Aegon always wore as a child made its reappearance. It was quick, his hands grasping onto your face and pulling you so close you could feel his breath on your skin. “You would let me dishonor you in front of all these people, bad princess.” You whined trying to lean up into his face, but he pulled back, “tsk tsk, can’t let your husband see you so needy for my affection now, can we?”
You wished he would stop referring to him as your husband. You wished he would stop reminding you of what waited for you after the night ended. “Sister… Prince Aegon.” Jacaerys appeared from behind like a thief in the night. Immediately souring any positive mood Aegon could have been in. He stepped back, letting his hands fall to his sides. “Nephew.” He gritted through his teeth with a subtle bow.
“Princess, would you dance with me?” You glanced between the two and felt the humiliation of the situation beginning to seep in. Your mother was on the high podium with a faux smile and a death grip on her fork observing you… “Of course! Let’s go little brother.”
The dance was alright… But you couldn’t get your mind off of the Lannister girl who was practically drooling at the sight of Aegon. He had slept with her before you knew this much. A secret part of you kept track of the whores he buried his cock inside, at least the rich ones. What happened next was honestly a blur, you couldn’t remember a thing. Except that you may or may not have called her a whore and threatened her life if she dared to touch him… She scurried away with her hands on her and tears in her eyes.
You weren’t jealous at all, only defending Helaena’s honor.

“Prince Aegon, pleasure to finally meet you,” If the night couldn't get any better the man of the hour had just willingly approached the man plotting against him… “Prince Quentyn, nice of you to believe this is a pleasure.” He smirked, “Your wife looks very beautiful.” Aegon patted his shoulders, “as does yours.”
Quentyn winced, a rather noticeable scowl growing on his face. “She’ll never be yours, my prince.”
“You’ll see later tonight whose name she calls out while your cock is inside her.” He smiled a crooked grin. Quentyn’s fists balled up next to his sides, Aegon wasn’t one to directly fight, he was more behind the scenes type of criminal. There was no denying that he was strong, strong enough to crack this man’s skull. But that wasn’t part of the plan… His feet moved fast, swiftly connecting his fist to Aegon’s jaw.
The crowd erupted behind them, lords and ladies screaming trying to escape the violence. Suddenly, Aegon stopped trying to attack and let the dornish cunt take charge. He tackled him to the ground and landed hit after hit… Was this really worth it, he thought to himself as blood started to trickle down his face. “You- fucking- wastrel-” Aegon was laughing hysterically whilst getting his face beat in… All according to plan, he told himself.
“Get off of him!” You screeched in horror pulling at the man assaulting your lover. It wasn’t meant to take a turn like it did. Quentyn, not recognizing you, turned and landed a hit square to your cheek knocking you on your ass. “Protect the princess!” Some guard shouted from behind whilst dogpiling onto your husband. He stared in horror at what he had done, you were gripping your cheek mortified, and Aegon was laying there covered in blood laughing his ass off like a psychopath.
The maester was applying ice to your cheekbone as you nervously picked at the seams on your dress. “We’ll have the marriage annulled by tomorrow.” Rhaenyra paced inside the room. “On what grounds? Aegon was obviously egging him on,” Jacaerys groaned from the corner. “I could kill him and fix this entirely,” Daemon muttered watching his wife rage on.
The rest of the argument was drowned out, the only noise you could hear was the sound of Aegon’s jaw cracking. You didn’t feel despair that the wedding was ruined, you didn’t feel depressed that your husband had hit you… No, you felt completely fucking enraged.
Seeing Aegon harmed had awoken something in you. It was hateful and could not be quelled by a simple apology. He fucking beat him to a pulp in the midst of your wedding then had the audacity to lay a hand on you… It may or may not have awoken something because seeing Aegon laughing whilst covered in his own blood made your core heat up.
“Could I be given some milk of the poppy for the pain, mother?” Rhaenyra looked at you with the most sorrowful expression she could muster, “oh my sweet girl.” She cupped your cheeks in her hands and rubbed at the bruise that was forming. “Go fetch some tea for my daughter, Maester… Now!”
____________________________________
You were returning to your chambers in a rather dumbed down state. The medicine made your mind hazy, and your body feel light as a feather. It was like wine but far better with less of a hangover. The corridors were dark, all the excitement from tonight was far over. You hummed to yourself lazily, dreading the return to where your husband lay. Until you felt a hand wrap around your mouth and yank you into a hole in the wall you never knew was there.
You tried to scream but were quickly shushed by a voice that could only belong to one man. “Aegon? What are you doing?” He smiled at you, rubbing the bruise on your cheek. “Will you go out for a walk with me?” You raised your eyebrow in distrust, “To where?” Aegon grinned, almost too enthusiastically to trust, “the dragonpit.”
The most unexpected event of tonight wasn’t the wedding brawl nor the injury that befall you. It was the fact you were riding on Sunfyre again, with Aegon holding onto your waist as you soared through the stars. It was a wedding gift, he claimed. As far as you knew Aegon never let anyone touch his dragon let alone ride with him, except you.
It was indescribable, the feeling of the wind rushing past your cheeks. The view of the city and the moon shining above you reflecting off his scales. You were giggling uncontrollably the entire flight listening to Aegon tell jests you hadn’t heard in years. Whatever injury he had gained was long forgotten the second you took off. Whatever drama or chaos in the keep didn’t exist outside. In the sky, you both were completely free.
You couldn’t say how long you spent outside. Mayhaps it was an hour or two before Sunfyre descended onto a nearby beach surrounded by the most beautiful rock formations you had seen. “Is this your version of bridenapping me?” You teased while he helped you climb down the saddle. “It’s only kidnapping if you fight back.”
He grasped your hand leading you across the sandy beach, showcasing the stars he supposedly, desperately wanted to show you. “I have an actual gift for you too.” You raised your eyebrows in disbelief, “Is it a ride home on Sunfyre?” Aegon laughed, genuinely laughed for the first time since you’ve returned. He dug in his pocket searching for something… “I had it made years ago but never had the chance to properly give it to you.”
In his hand was the most beautiful golden ring in the shape of a dragon. “A ring? A Sunfyre ring?” Aegon grabbed your hand and slipped it on with ease, “I’m not that creative, you know this. it was meant to be something to remember me by when you left.” Tears were prickling your eyes once more. The fool kept the damned ring all these years and never mentioned it. “Aegon… Be honest for once with me please. Do you still love me?”
He paused, searching tirelessly for the right words to say. “I… There hasn’t been a day in five years where I haven’t thought about you at least once. There hasn’t been an hour that something has not reminded me of you. There hasn’t been a single night I’ve slept without seeing you… It isn’t normal, it’s twisted and sick and cruel just like I am. No matter what you do to others, to me, to yourself. No matter if the world ends in a freeze or we are in the midst of a war of the ages… I believe I’ll always feel this… And I don’t think I’ll be able to stop until the seven hells take me.”
You sniffled; he always had such a roundabout way of saying things. “I’ll always love you too.” He smiled genuinely, pulling you into a kiss so gentle yet so firm it made you forget all the dangers of the world, the drama, the potential war, your husband, everything was irrelevant except for you two, right now under the stars.
“We still haven’t done the bedding ceremony.” You whispered against his lips. His eyes lit up, “Have you always been so needy for me?” You didn’t have time to protest before he was passionately colliding his lips against yours once more. You threw your arms around his neck and pulled him closer into you, making sure no part of you would ever be apart from him again.
His arms slipped below your waist as he lowered you onto the ground as gently as he could. Your legs fell open instinctively and his hands began to explore your body. It was vastly different from every other time you’ve been together. It was gentle and loving, passionate and pleasurable without the pain.
Your bodies started to move in sync with each other, stripping away the clothes that hid your most intimate parts. His hands held you close to his chest, keeping you warm while you were exposed to the elements. You moaned into his mouth, kissing him passionately with a hunger you had forgotten existed.
He broke the kiss, gasping for air. You opened your eyes to see the moonlight reflected off his face, sometimes Aegon Targaryen looked more God than man. He moved to suckle on your neck as he ran his length against your slit.
“You’re so beautiful,” He murmured huskily against your ear. He slowly pushed inside, filling you with his thickness. You gasped from the sudden sensation. He was so deep within you, so far reaching you almost felt like you could reach out and touch the stars.
His kisses trailed down your neck, nibbling, sucking, biting. He took his time thrusting inside of you with slow movements, appreciating every moment your bodies were entertained. He stopped mid-thrust, holding himself deep within you.
“I love you, Princess.” He whispered, his voice so tender and soft. You blushed like a child; it was silly to think his cock being inside you didn’t make you feel as embarrassed as him telling you, his feelings. “Always.” You murmured back. He kissed you deeply, his tongue slipping past your teeth.
You clung tight to his neck, your nails digging into his skin. He moved faster, his breaths coming in shorter and quicker. You moaned, your thighs trembling from the feeling of fullness. His fingers traced circles on your inner thigh, and then he moved to your clit.
He worked you effortlessly, eliciting soft whimpers and moans and love confessions. The world was a blur of fluorescent colors and smells, nothing mattered but you and Aegon. His climax came swiftly, almost right after your own. You begged for him to cum inside you, to fill you with his seed and he always did as you asked.
He collapsed on top of you, his weight heavy on your shoulders. You wrapped your arms around his back, feeling him relax. “Aegon…” You spoke his name softly, your head resting on his shoulder. “Mhmm?” He said in a daze. “Again?” You whispered, your lips brushing against his neck. He smirked, his cock twitching inside of you.

When you hug her/him
A/N: My first marriages in the game was Scout-many-marshes and Ghnorbash the Iron Hand so I had to add them :)
Aela the Huntress
You were feeling lonely just talking to the other Companions. So, you went to Aela and engulfed her in your arms. You could feel the thrum of her heart against her chest and it almost immediately calmed you. Aela froze in her spot and stopped eating the loaf that was in her hand. She was not expecting the sudden hug but she certainly was not complaining. She wrapped her arms around you and smiled at you. "My dear, if you wanted a hug all you had to do was ask."
Ghorza gra-Bagol
Ghorza was rambling on about how her lousy assistant was too stupid to understand how to work the forge. You sighed and placed your cheek on your palm. Ghorza usually complains about such things but you didn't feel like listening to her continuous complaints. You pulled her closer by her waist and wrapped your arms around her. She froze for a second before hugging you back. "Geez, at least let me finish speaking first."
Grelka
Grelka stood at her stand in Riften as per usual. You could hear her talking to customers in her usual sassy tone. You walked to her stand and leaned against the side of it. "How's business?"
"What do you think?" She replied.
You chuckled and placed your hand on her hip as you pulled her closer. Grelka placed both her arms around your torso. "Wha-you want a hug? Now?" You nodded your head and placed it on her shoulder. She sighed and held you for a second before pushing you away so she could go back to selling. "Now go back to what you were doing before. I'll see you at home."
Shahvee
You walked to the docks with a basket of flowers you brought from home. Your boots clicked against the stone stairs as you walked down them. Shahvee could hear someone walking to her so she slightly turned her head to look. After seeing your friendly face she smiled. "Hello love, need anything?"
You held up the basket to show her its contents and her face lit up. "I thought these might brighten your day."
Shahvee stood up and took it from you, smelling the pretty flowers. "Thank you..." You hugged her tightly, making sure to not get in the way of the basket. She set it down and happily wrapped her arms around you.
Balimund
The blacksmith of Riften worked over his forge as usual. The sweat and dirt covered his face as he wiped his forehead. Appearing behind him, you wrapped your arms around his broad body. Balimund tensed but when he noticed it was you his muscles relaxed. "Don't creep up on me, darlin." He said, turning his head to look at you.
You laughed and kissed his cheek. "Sorry, I couldn't resist."
He shook his head and took your hands off him before turning around to hug you back. He kissed your temple then your cheek. "Well next time refrain from sneeking and just ask for one."
Derkeethus
It was weeks after you saved him and recently starting seeing each other. You decided to show up at Darkwater Passing to surprise him. You saw Sondas but no Derkeethus. You approached him and smiled politely. "Have you seen Derk?"
The dark elf looked up at you from the ground and nodded, pointing to the entrance to the mine. "Of course. He's in there."
You thanked him and went down to the mine. The first noises you heard was the clanking of pickaxe's hitting the walls. You saw his beautiful green scales and went to him as his back was turned. "Boo!"
Your sudden actions caused Derkeethus to jump. "Divines above! Don't scare me like that Y/n."
You laughed and hugged him as an apology. "I'm sorry, my love."
He rolled his eyes and hugged you back. "No you are not."
You shrugged. "You're right~"
Farkas
The hulking man stood outside, leaning against a pillar. You set your goblet of wine down on a outdoor table and went to him. He noticed you coming closer and he smiled at you. "Oh, is no jobs available for you?" He asked as he placed both of his hands on your waist.
You shook your head and leaned it against his chest. "Just wanted to see you. Is that a problem?~"
Farkas chuckled in his deep voice and kissed your head. "No no, this is just fine."
Vilkas
The scowling werewolf stood outside by the wooden dummies, his sword in his hands. He didn't see you till you cleared your throat to get his attention.
He huffed and turned around to face you. "Yes, love?"
"Come here." You ordered him, your arms opened invitingly
Vilkas raised an eyebrow and slightly smirked. "Liking your role as Harbinger I see?"
You glared at him and put your arms down, rolling your eyes. "Oh nevermind!"
Before you could walk away, Vilkas grabbed your waist. "Ah ah, I didn't say I didn't want a hug from you." He held onto you as he put his chin on the top of your head.
Scout-many-marshes
You could see Scout carrying chopped wood at the docks. You walked to the Argonian and his eyes softened as a loving smile spread across his face. "Hello dearest, how are you this evening?"
"I'm doing just fine. I can help you if you want." You said, motioning to the pile in his arms.
"Oh no I can handle it, love." He responded.
You frowned at him and took some of the wood from him. "No, I'm helping. Even if you like it or not. Now let's get this done before dark." Scout smiled and nodded.
After you too got done, you hugged him and kissed his scaly jaw. "Now sleep well, sweetheart." He nodded with a sweet smile and grazed his clawed hand over the spot you kissed. He definitely will sleep good tonight.
Ghnorbash the Iron Hand
You arrived at the orc stronghold he lived in, Dushnikh Yal. Pushing open the large logged doors, you saw Ghnorbash slicing his weapon in the air and hitting the wooden dummy in front of him. "Ghnorbash!" Your orc warrior looked at the entrance and a small smile graced his lips. He unsheethed his sword and watched as you came closer. If he wasn't strong and sturdy, he would have been knocked down by how fast you jumped on him.
"Excited are we, my love?" He asked jokingly.
You smiled and kept your arms around him. "Mhm."
Ghnorbash picked you up and laughed at the surprise noise you made. "Yes, I can tell." He held you in a tight grip, but not enough to hurt or bruise. His tusked teeth grazed your face as he kissed right below your ear.
Brynjolf
Your mood was down so you went to the man who you loved. This cocky bastard grinned in amusement as he felt your hands cling to the clothing he was wearing. "Feeling lonely lass?" You nodded and he took your hand, intertwining your fingers with his. "Well we can't have that." He gently picked you up and ignored the looks from the other thieves guild members. You wrapped your arms around his neck and rested your head on his chest.
He carried you to the shared bedroom that you guys had built in for when you would need to stay in the Thieves Guild hideout for any reason. He layed you down on the bed then slid in with you, pulling you close to his body. "I'll lay here with you 'til I'm needed."
Cicero
The murderous jester chuckled his little weird laugh and hugged you back with a big grin. "Is my Y/n needing love?" No matter your response, he held you tighter and closer, enjoying your warmth. "Cicero will hug away your worries, oh yes!"
You just sighed and let him be happy as he continued holding you close. You eventually had to leave for a job so he groaned but knew you had to do your work so he let you go. He kissed your nose and told you to get him if needed, placing his hand on his ebony dagger.
Lord Harkon
The large doors opened as you walked into the Castle. Everyone knew you by now. The person who stole the vampire Lord's heart. Eyes fell on you as you walked down the stairs that led to the main room. "Ah, my dear! You've came just in time."
You raised an eyebrow curious. "Time for...?"
Harkon sipped the thick red liquid from his golden goblet. "Dinner, my dear."
You went to him and lifted his chin. "Stand." Harkon narrowed his eyes but obliged and stood up. You smiled and pulled him into a hug. The room was silent as you did it. Harkon found your way of hugging him weird but he couldn't deny that it felt somewhat nice.
A couple snickers could be heard in the background. "Go back to whatever you were doing!" He yelled towards his fellow vampires as he escorted you out.
Serana
You both sat under a big tree during the night. The stars and moon illuminated the leaves overhead. Serana ran her long nails through your hair, stopping to massage your scalp every couple minutes. You wrapped your arms around her waist and leaned into her more. Serana softly chuckled and smiled at you with her glowing eyes. "Comfortable?"
"Very. Thank you..." You said and kissed her pale neck.
"Hey now, that's my job." She said as she kissed your cheek.
You tilted your head with a teasing smile. "Oh really? Who says?"
"Me." Serana said, playfully pushing your head away from her neck.
