Young Lucia learns a harsh lesson about the world in Windhelm

Based off my alternate telling of the main storyline of Skyrim, where the Dragonborn is none other than the little orphan girl from Whiterun. I’ve had this story stewing in my mind for several years now and I think I might be close to actually writing it. The main premise is that Lucia is unable to adventure on her own (considering her age and lack of survival experience), so a small group forms with the goal of protecting her and saving the world. It’s entirely just because I want to write about my favorite followers and have them interact lol, and I thought that the idea of a Dragonborn that wasn’t fully capable of handling their destiny alone was neat (not to mention my love for found family tropes). I found this audio on TikTok and I found it to be rather fitting of one of the scenes in my mind.

It's funny that I'm writing a little fan fiction on Enderal not about Tarael and the prophet-scientist, whom I ship, but with a huntress, because who but a wonderful woman with a big heart will help rehabilitate after such a shit

I got something from the new chapter of Dealings with Daedra for you that will be published next weekend! I have posted about this chapter before in this WIP Wednesday post (wait I've written this back in august?!) and it handles the reason why Morotar is in a rather bad mood, when he visits Elenwen in her office. Enjoy! [Oh and little warning: this is quite uncomfortable to read]

His knock sounded softly on the door to the ambassador’s chambers. He held his breath, wiping his sweaty palms on his tunic. The cloak was back in his chamber, so was the dagger that had accompanied him over the day. But the nausea was still there.

“Come in,” Elenwen lilted, as if she was already awaiting him.

Pressing his teeth together, he shoved the door open and entered. When it fell into lock behind him, a barely noticeable flinch flashed through his body. The room was filled with the heavy scent of jasmine, sweet and smothering. Elenwen sat at her dressing table, combing through her damp, blonde hair. The ember colour of her eyes reflected in the mirror, fixing on him.

“It is you. Anything else you want to hurl at me? Have I once again exceeded my powers and you’re here to put me in my place?” she mocked him.

She turned on the stool she was sitting on, propping one hand up on the table and glared at him. Only now he noticed the black, silken nightgown that hugged her figure and emphasized the shape of her breasts with lined lace.

“Spit it out already.”

Morotar stepped further into the room, the hardwood floor creaking under his weight. The flowery scent made his head spin, but he kept his aim in sight. From behind his back, he pulled out the leatherbound dossier and threw it at her feet. With a slapping sound, it landed. Elenwen picked it up with pointed fingers, then flipped through the pages.

“Ah, yes. That Dunmer,” she concluded and put the notebook on the tabletop. “What is your interest in her?”

“I have not pulled her out of the ocean for you to nearly kill her with your disgusting interrogation methods. It is against our regularities to not grant a healing after such severe torture. Not to mention, these are methods fitting in the second era. You know as well as I do, that I have to report such things.”

Morotar crossed his arms and stared down at her, but instead of any touch of fear, Elenwen put a grin on her face. Slowly, she rose from her seat and made graceful steps towards him.

“Oh, how adorable. Are you being all sentimental about a simple Dunmer? You wouldn't believe it. Someone plunges into the depths once and they've already hit your sore spot.”

Her bittersweet words echoed in Morotar’s ears and made him tremble. That she chose to go this route, he had not expected. Her ferocity had doubled in his time of absence and the suggestion tore at his deepest wound and she knew it.     Elenwen had reached him and her hand stroked over his chest, the urge to retreat shot through Morotar's body.

“I know that you want to know more about this, your curiosity is not hidden very well. You never were good at that, my boy,” she purred, her fingers wandering further down to his groin.

His figure stiffened, as she gathered his tunic and her hand found the waistband of his pants. The tip of her finger glided under it, her nails scratching his sensitive skin. A familiar numbness overcame his body, his mind blanked out the surroundings. Elenwen was a blur to him and when he opened his mouth to speak, he sounded oddly foreign to himself. Just as if he were listening to himself from another room.

“An eye for an eye, as always?” he asked and she nodded.

Personal favorite ward fic? Or one you would recommend to someone who never read ward (seems wrong to read wormfics before worm and not do the same with ward)

I wanted to make a more in-depth and lore-building set of questions for people's Skyrim-specific OCs! This can be used as an ask game, or if you just want to answer them all without waiting for people to ask, have at it!

What are their opinions on the civil war? Do they support a side or leave them to their own devices?

Do they have family? Who doe they consider to be family?

What is their stance on taking a life? Do they kill without a second thought, in the name of a god or daedra, or do they adhere to pacifism?

How are they with money? Do they hoard, or do they spend until their pockets are empty and they have to find work again? Have they saved for any houses?

Ever since they’d left Balmora, every exchange between Veryn and Caius had been brief, each conversation carefully crafted to be as unoffensive as possible - and after five days of hiding behind a shield of measured politeness, Veryn could not stand it any longer. Caius’ quiet gaze lingered on his shoulders every night, as the spymaster silently studied the rites Veryn performed, challenging him, inviting him to speak up. “I threw my lot in with Azura,” Veryn said, wondering if this would bring him and Caius back at each others throat. “She’s supposed to care about Nerevar. After all, she cursed us Dunmer for his death. If I have to deal with her sooner or later, it might as well be sooner if she can save me from the madness of the Sixth House.” Did she curse the Three because they betrayed Nerevar? Or because they broke their oath to her? Caius nodded, too slow and too thoughtful and too unreadable. “I presume the Urshilaku Wise Woman taught you, then. Has it done you any good, so far?” How should he take Caius’ words? Were they meant as a genuine question? Were they a backhanded insult — an interpretation fueled by Veryn’s paranoia and distrust? He looked like hell and felt like it too, worn out by travel and worry, always on the move, never quite able to catch his breath. “Dagoth Ur hasn’t visited me since I started praying to Her.” Veryn traced the edge of the flat block of slate he’d used as a makeshift altar. “But apparently, sleeping better means that my body gets to catch up on my exhaustion of the past near decade. Besides, we’ll be at Mamaea tomorrow, and the nearer we get there, the worse I sleep. There’s something wrong about that place. That bone cavern I saw - the entire cave system reminds me of a long-dead corpse.” “It might be one.” Sharn had been watching them from near the campfire, her face cast aglow by the flickering flames. “It’s what people say about Necrom, the City of the Dead over on the Mainland. Mamaea might be another remnant of Vivec’s monstrous children, lost in the ash for millennia.”
