During a Republican debate in 2015 - back when Donald Trump’s candidacy was widely considered a joke, he spewed some evil nonsense that, if there was less ignorance in the world, should have ended his candidacy. “People that work for me, just the other day, two years old, beautiful child went to have the vaccine and came back and a week later, got a tremendous fever, got very, very sick, now is autistic,” he said. And not only did he invade their privacy, he lied about what happened.” Yes, the ally told me, the child had the vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella (better known as the MMR vaccine.) And yes, the child was autistic. But there was no “tremendous fever.” The child did not become “very, very sick.” The symptoms of the child’s autism showed months before receiving the vaccine. The family had the diagnosis of probable autism long before the vaccine. And after the child received the MMR, the already-present symptoms didn’t accelerate. Nothing changed in the child a week later, a month later, six months later. Eventually, the diagnosis changed from probable autism to autism - long, long after the MMR. Trump never apologized for intruding on this family’s pain, lying about it, or deceiving the scientifically illiterate. Instead, he has continued to ape the blatherings about childhood vaccination from.

Wakefield emerged from the meeting saying not only that Trump believed vaccines cause autism, but that he promised to do something about it if elected president. In his first term, as we all know, Trump had a number of intelligent people around him to block his worst impulses. His head of HHS was a former deputy secretary of the agency (and former drug company executive, but what can you expect?) It’s also difficult to believe that he is an anti-vaxxer, given his push to develop a COVID vaccine and his own use of it. But remember: This is not about vaccines for adults like those for COVID. This is about childhood vaccination (Which Trump opposed for COVID.) This time around, with Kennedy, Trump has gone full-blown anti-vaxxer which, if Wakefield is to be believed, is a reflection of the president-elect’s views. Kennedy is just the vehicle reflecting Trump’s own uneducated, uninformed and ignorant beliefs about childhood vaccination. He tipped his hand during a recent interview with Time magazine. It started when he said, “The autism rate is at a level that nobody ever believed possible. If you look at things that are happening, there's something causing it.” Why? Well, we should be looking at vaccines, Trump said. And he’d make sure that his people, led by Kennedy - an uninformed, intellectually lazy anti vaxxer - would form a team to look into it. He said his administration would conduct “very serious testing,” on the link between vaccines and autism, after which “we will know for sure what's good and what's not good.”

The normalization of anti-vaccine politics, fueled by Donald Trump (even though he helped get the beginnings of the COVID vaccines off the ground) and RFK Jr., is a disgraceful sight to see. One of the lies anti-vaxxer extremists traffic in is the debunked myth that vaccines “cause” autism.

I needed to share this idea to you because it’s too GOOD

what if the mayor isn’t part of the cult and the cult kills him? Imagine he’s just a narcissistic idiot who doesn’t know how to manage the town and makes the police do everything so he gets all the glory?

it seems like a funny possibility because of all the build up around it. Sounds like a joke that can easily be made, but I think that he’s gonna get killed off by the cult by drowning (to go with the Narcissus myth)

but why would I bring this up? The town would CRUMBLE without him. It would make them vulnerable to the cult and all the pressure would fall onto John’s back

also, there wouldn’t be any authority for the town to follow. Someone would have to fill that spot

LET ME THINK ABOUT THIS cause there are some good points. so, i half agree with evermore not being a member. i think hes in on it, hes just not aware that he is. no one can recognize when theyre in a cult. i think evermore was given the finances by the cult to rise to this amount of power and fame and become the mayor because of his insistence. remember, his sin is greed

its just hard for me to imagine someone with such a high ranking in the town to Not know about skiddad and his followers, and perhaps the eyes. i think he knows of the missing children, but not what happens to them. hes a pawn whos not being told everything. they just let him loose after reshaping his worldview and making him dependent on them. evermore is just... good enough for the cult. yes hes great at public speeches and controlling the masses, yes he spends 99% of his time in his office staring at a mirror so others can do his dirty work (meaning he wouldnt know the extent of everything going on in town). hes like the cults mascot in a way

i think the most rational explanation for this is that he had a quick visit with the eyes of the universe, and had his greed and desire for fame and riches get taken advantage of. hes indoctrinated just enough to side with the cult so that he wont question anything theyre doing. surely they Must be a good group, they helped him become the mayor!

it wouldnt exactly matter if evermore knew of the cult or not, because hes still doing exactly what they want. and evermore doesnt work alone. kill him off by drowning, or whatever is most fitting, and he could be replaced with anyone... it Could be john, but in all honesty, my bet is on garcia

so. this is something ive been considering for some time. garcia is confirmed to be a secretary + lawyer. he holds a lot of responsibilities in this position, organizing events and meetings, handling large amounts of data, keeping track of all of evermores employees, etc. he has a lot of insight on the town, if not more than the mayor. hes also capable of controlling evermores decisions by being a secretary. being a lawyer means he can represent criminals and cult members, and defend them in court. hes a very convincing man

i know pelo probably doesnt understand the exact definitions of secretary and lawyer, but im trying to say that garcia has an insane amount of power by having these organizational and social skills. hes not deputy mayor, but he is up there with evermore, being his assistant and all. and like i said earlier, evermore likes making people do the work for him

also he is Undeniably mr clown. you cannot convince me otherwise. not only are they visually similar, but its odd how garcia just Showed Up after mr clowns supposed "death" (which he likely faked). we know mr clown is a dedicated member, hes been kidnapping and murdering children for who knows how long, and now hes confirmed to have political power over the town on nearly the same level as the mayor. if evermore truly doesnt know enough of whats going on compared to his own secretary, that makes all this information scarier

Shystar - leader

Old leader of the clan, she pretty set in her ways and refuses to change, But she will go whith compromises as long as its benefits the clan.

She choose Fleckglint to be the deputy despite his young age becouse she believes that he might come whith some fresh perspective. But she came to regret it later this year whith all new faces he brought.

Saplingspeck and Timberwater are her very good friend they been through a lot together.

Right now she in Medicine den. One of PatchouliClan warriors wounded her while on she was patrol.

Fleckglint - deputy

Special little fella. Believes that Clan needs to change so he uses deputy position to ensure outsiders can get into clan.

Later this year he and Medicine cat Whiskersnow developed cute crushes on each other and after some miscommunication they became mates. She now pregnant whith his kits.

Whiskersnow - Medicine cat

Others members of the clan kinda upset that since Whiskersnow is busy whith her future litter of kits she wont have time treating injuries. Which is a shame she a very talented healer.

For some time before Fleckglint confessed his feeling to her she also considered becoming mates whith Timberwater, but ultimately realised that her feeling are not mutual and thay see each others very differently.

Oldest warrior currently, honestly he looks like trouble, but actually really cares for his clanmates. Loves all of them.

Being the oldest beside Shystar he also know a lot of storie about how OddClan used to be.

He very close Beamstripe since she was a kit, practically treats her as a little sister. They would often train together and share pray.

Saplingspeck - warrior

There honesty not much i can say abou Saplingspeck, she just has nice vibes. She one of the few cats who treat new cats kindly.

Was grabbed by eagle this year, but she fine now. But is slowed her mentorship of Condorpaw and because of it she still apprentice.

Good friend whith Honeytuft

Originally was Loyal, but changed to Charismatic later this year.

Honeytuft - warrior

Originally she was fierce, but i guess developing crush on Onefur decided to be more bloodthirsty so he would like her more.

Mentored Beamstripe and very proud of training some one so talented.

Timberwater - warrior

At firs shameless cat later decided to be more adventurous.

Still has crush on Whiskersnow and absolutely hates Fleckglint (Hope nothing bad happens.)

Also constantly argues whith Honeytuft.

Mentored Wishfeather but doesnt think much of anything positive about them.

I feel like she has a lot of complicated feeling in mind, hope she can sort them out.

She appeared once saying that StarClan guided her here and whith Fleckglint convincing other to agree.

The truth is that she lied, no StarClan guided her here, but Dark Forest. Her clan vorships them and consider anyone who have bond whith them chocen.

She doesnt know why Dark forest guided her here, but its better keep her past secret. Just in case.

Venti - warrior

He was abandoned by his Twolegs on the road and if not for Fleckglint would died of greencough. He fine now, but seems like experience left him little traumatized.

He developed crush on Fleckglint after that but sees that he very happy whith his current mate and afraid to confess his feeling.

Beamstripe - Warrior

Everyone darling. Very active cat and if she has free time spends it on battle training.

She often agrees whith Fleckglint but only because she doesnt like Shystar much more. But she doesnt like both of them.

Whishfeather - Warrior

New warrior, she still getting a hang of things after her apprenticeship. Timberwater teched her to be more social whith whith other which is a little surprising.

She best friends whith Codorpaw and tries cheer her up, because despite being the same age she still an apprentice.

Condorpaw - Apprentice

I really like her sprite :D

She got hut by one of PatchouliClan warrior which delaid her apprenticeship even further. But others support her and tell her that everything will be okay. Especially her best friend Wishfeather.

Recently joined, mother of three, she was exiled from PatchouliClan for something that she doesnt want to talk about, but other cats have a pretty good guess.

Yippie yippie!!! Ive been waiting for this day forever!!!!!! So she actually became leader of her clan so shes technically Smokestar but it never stuck to me, shes smokefur forever.

Basically she was a really good warrior when she was younger with a pretty idyllic life. She was kind of dating the cat who would be leader (Blazingfeather) but at the beginning it was kind of a will they wont they thing. That changed however when her younger brother Ripplepelt died tragically, he was a medecine cat and very popular so it was a pretty big blow for the whole clan.

Anyways Blazingfeather helped her through her grief and they fell in love, he took up the position of leader and soon she was his deputy (because shes a smooth talker and just genuinely good at her job) and pregnant with his kits.

But then her cat husband dies TOO, Im a little unsure of how but maybe black cough? He had like all his lives so it hit him REALLY hard. Anyways now she's leader, with one kit and a whole lot of issues.

She makes her brother Silverback her deputy but soon finds out that hes been seeing a kittypet behind her back. She feels hurt by this and their relationship never really fully recovers, she gets into a fight with said kittypet and trounces her completely, but this makes Silverback very mad. They have a huge fight and eventually she agrees to let her join but if she's a dead weight she's out.

While all this is going down, she also has issues with her friend Amberwing's mate. (Smokefur is Riverclan and Amberwing is Thunderclan) Smokefur hates him and to be fair he is kind of an asshole.

One night though, there's a fire in the Thunderclan camp and she rushes there for her friend, when she sees that Amberwing is safe, but her kits are not, she rushes in after the kits. However she doesn't return them, partially because she hates Amberwing's mate and thinks that he'd make a terrible father and partially because she feels personally responsible for them now which means that she needs to keep watch over them.

Amberwing, obviously, does not like this, so they have a huge falling out and now Smokestar has like, no support at all. At this point she's kind of delerious and has begun seeing visions of the dark forest, which terrify her.

Her ability to lead becomes worse and worse as she deteriorates further both mentally and physically, however there's not much others can do because her influence is just that well built also its kind of difficult to tell Starclan to choose another Guy for leader.

Her brother, Silverback tries to care for her until the end but she rejects him and eventually dies, posioned by her medecine cat Missingflower.

Ok that was alot and there are probably alot of details that I missed but I need to go to bed now because I have a 2 hour test tomorrow lol

Some clan basics. this is just the bad part of canon warriors but taken seriously.

Violence runs clans through and through, to injure or otherwise weaken an enemy group is the way of a warrior and raid parties are common. Rogues are often hunted as bounty trophies and a way to raise one's status. Because of the violence, death is common and it becomes vital for a clan to have many kittens, causing a lot of issues between sexes (look below for more info). Kittens are taught about Starclan and their purpose from a very young age. This indoctrination continues throughout their young lives. As warriors you are expected to die for your clan. no buts. this ends up in a lot of recklessness and pressure for apprentices to preform.

The Clans have this big big focus on legacy and how their clan can be notable/powerful. Unfortunately, mollies are valued less than toms. Toms can fight quickly after breeding but Mollies all vulnerable when pregnant. So there is this concept floating in clan culture that the only way a molly can be powerful is by strengthening her bloodline with kits. Mollies are pressured frequently into having many children with many mates, and monogamy is not considered as 'normal' but healthy polyamory isn't either. However as a tom you are expected to mate with many mollies and 'defend' them from competition. However it is considered necessary due to the amount of deaths that happen from violence, starvation, and lack of medicine. This is why mollies as leaders or deputies is a rarity in general. Bluestar had to physically battle Thistleclaw to win her position as deputy. Heatherstar had an easier time by comparison but not easy in general.

Incest is common due to the hate of outsiders. What is traditionally allowed is not to mate with a parent or sibling. However everything else is sort of left in the air, while it is preferred you seek a mate not closely related to you, taking on a half-clan mate or even an outsider is considered a massive taboo. Dating an apprentice is also considered allowed as long as the 'courting' happens after their warrior ceremony and vigil. Age-gaps are ignored and new warrior mollies are usually harassed the moment they're of age. Sadly.

Medicine cats are a weird, yes-no-ish? your expected to have kittens as a molly and also expected to devote 100% of yourself to starclan so its an impossible choice, some will be happy with u some wont.

Cats who do not fit the binary of sexuality or gender are often not well received. Redtail is a notable exception in Thunderclan but that didn't mean his life was easy like. at all. Most cats who are queer never explore their sexuality or gender and identify by the default. Leafpool knew somewhat early in her life she was bisexual. and tried to hide it much to Mothwing's disappointment.

Kittypets can only join the clans after fighting a warrior. though it does not promise them good treatment. Rusty is a good example. He beat Graypaw in a scuffle which made Bluestar wonder about his prowess for thunderclan. He beat Longtail like in canon but not without getting injured. Kittypets can join through other means but usually its always in a way that services the clan or proves something.

You MUST believe in Starclan. If you don't, keep it to yourself. The leader is allowed to do what is 'needed' to make sure Starclan lives well within the hearts of clan cats, which is another reason outsiders are hated. Can't be having different ideas now, can we? They are also colonizers and would prefer everyone else believe in Starclan too. Only Starclan blessed rites are allowed in the Clans.

Name-Passing. It's not unusual to name a kitten after someone or to pass on a suffix. For example if ur great grandpa was Elkhorn, your brother might be Elkkit. and if your name is like idk Moosekit, at warriorhood you might be given the name Moosehorn.

INTRODUCTION

As i don't have a yt account, im using Tumblr to spread my book Legends across! Legends is my book series i've been working on for a long time and feel like its good to start now, so people know about my book before i actually publish.

Legends is basically 6 clowders having conflict, peace and war. Your probably wondering well how is this different to warriors? and let me explain. Lets start at the bottom where i can inform you about warriors first and unoriginality, Warriors is a book series based of off the love for cats. its as simple as that. But warriors is also a book series made up of all other diffrent books. for example tailchaser's song, watership down, felidae and etc.

Well where is your reasons for these books?

tailchaser's song is possibly the biggest inspiration for warriors just because of how the cats are named. Tailchaser's song is a book about a house cat named fritti tailchaser who goes on a journey to find his love of his life. A she cat called hushpad. it goes from the villains of the story to the heroes of the story, it was the main inspiration.

watership down, to be honest doesnt need explaining when vicky said it herself. It was based off of watership down + harry potter, redwall. in watership down one of the rabbits gets a vison that everyone will die. let by bigwig and hazel the rabbits leave, and face many obsticles in their life.

In felidae, the end battle where francis rips open the killer's stomach and any warrior fan would have a weird vibe, thinking this death was inspiration to tigerstar's.

Also in Ratha's creature its about prehistoric cats. this was possibly an inspiration to warriors due to the behaviour and clan relationship.

And there are many other books to back up my case. from having two names, to cats living in clans and having conflict, to prophecies/visions, it backs it up. again this warrior cats being an unoriginal series.

but back to the question above. how is Legends different to warriors?

i added so many ideas and have developed on my series so that not only was it out of the copyright perspective it was something completely different. For starters, warriors did not make up apprenticing and having mentors, leaders, deputies, or cats living in clans having conflict, so dont tell me these are warrior ideas, cause they arn't. Everything about warriors to me is completely unoriginal. I developed Legends so it would be somthing original and somthing people would enjoy reading. I did a lot of resurch on warrior, like why do people enjoy warriors,

it came up with, the conflict, the clans, star clan, dark forest, the death, the feeling of not knowing what's next. so i took these ideas of what made warriors so great. A completely changed them, right now as this is an only intro and my book its very popular at the moment, i wont go into to much detail. But this is just for I've changed everything! and until i go further or publish ill will deeply explain.

i added all things people like to read in books but just decided, okay, so how do i make this better? i would right down my ideas and even after that, ok this is a great start but how do i make it better? and i kept on adding more ideas until it was nothing like warriors, and to me even better as there are a lot of flaws in warriors, and for people who need advice, id say start from there!

the flaws are the perfect way to make something better and improve!

Where Phil and Etoiles lead WindClan and Antoine is their wierd ass medicine cat, Foolish runs RiverClan with Ironmouse as deputy and bbh as medicine cat, and Jaiden (has to be Jaystar) runs ShadowClan with roier and cellbit.

Cellbit would be named Mud-something because he's just so... mud

but he and Bagi were actually found by the Clan as kits and taken in. They both can see and talk to StarClan ghosts, but Bagi was always better at ignoring them/ Cellbit always talked to them so the ghosts kind of just gravitate to him. Bagi became a warrior so she could punch stuff.

Jaiden and Roier grew up together, trained together etc. So when she eventually became leader she made him deputy instantly. Theyre about as close as you can be without being blood-siblings.

Which means that when Roier and Cellbit tried to keep their whole thing a secret she found out right away. But instead of being upset she just went "im so happy for you both :D" Jaiden cares more about her Clanmates than wierd StarClan rules about kissing.

Phil and Etoiles are like the scariest cats in the forest, even though their medicine cat Antoine spends all his time staring into space and drawing circles in the ground. Phil shaped WindClan into what it is today, crazy strong warriors, secure border, ready to protect their own at any means.

He had to because the ThunderClan leader (Cucurucho) kept trying to kidnap his apprentices and nobody believes him.

With Etoiles as your deputy theres no way any cat is lacking battle training. And when you have senior warriors like Fit to keep everybody together, well, WindClan's spirit is unbreakable.

And then theres RiverClan. Led by Foolish. and Ironmouse. And Bbh.

You cant ever actually tell what theyre doing. Half the time their borders are unpatrolled, you can go weeks without seeing or hearing any RiverClan cat. But if you go to their camp you'll find everybody happy, healthy, just chilling. Super chilling. Because Foolish doesnt really care about "rules", he just wants all his cats to be happy, have a good time.

Mouse absolutely loves training apprentices, the RiverClan apprentices are some of the most well-trained just because of how much time she puts into them. The Clan as a whole are super tight-knit because of the leadership style of Foolish and Mouse.

Typically if the borders are being marked its because Bad finally bothered Foolish into making his cats do something for once. He might come across as bullying his leader into doing something, but thats because if he's not absolute about it, Foolish will just forget about it in the next 5 minutes.

The eggs would all be apprentices in their parent's respective Clans, though in this AU i hesitate to make any of the the "actual" parents. Instead they would just be trained by them, so Leo is mentored by Foolish, Pomme's mentor would be Etoiles.

The actual Warriors series has such a problem with sticking female characters as mothers and then forgetting about them, and i dont want that.

So Bagi would be Empanada's mentor instead of mother, and Bagi would be teaching Empanada to murder small animals.

And Richas would be Cellbit's very strange apprentice that likes to roll around in the mud and stick leaves to his fur to pretend to be a bush.

Richas was also born with only 3 legs, but thats not why he's training to be a medicine cat. He was never pushed into the role like we see happen in the main series, he just thought that Cellbit being able to talk to ghosts was really cool.

Hopefully Cellbit wont have to use his odd ghost-speaking abilities to try to put a stop to his leader's (Jaiden) growing friendship with the ThunderClan leader (Cucurucho). Anytime that white ThunderClan cat visits he keeps staring at Cellbit, and he doesn't like it.

Also the ThunderClan leadership is Cucurucho, Osito as deputy, and Elena as medicine cat. Because I thought it would be funny to have 3 identical white cats leading ThunderClan. Evil Cucurucho is their most senior warrior, he's the one that gets sent to do all the dirty work (trying to kidnap Phil's entire Clan).

I haven't thought too hard on names, some of them are easy (Phil is Crowstar easily) I think Etoiles would be funny as like... Greenclaw. Just a super basic name. But hes such a cool dude he does not care. Roier would have to be something crazy like Firestorm.

sometimes the old warrior cats fixation from when i was 12 comes back with a vengeance and i think about how qcellbit is medicine cat material, and he just so happens to be in love with his clan's deputy, qroier. hes also haunted by starclan ghosts so he's always arguing with them, but to everyone else it just looks like hes angrily talking to himself. Also the clan leader qjaiden doesnt care that her deputy and medicine cat are dating.

Below is a snippet from my deputy OC Patience Ekner’s canon, tentatively called ‘Wrathling.’ This bit is from John’s POV. (I wont be posting any of it until at least half of it is written in order to prevent me from getting too burned out trying to keep up and then abandoning it, as I have before in other works for other fandoms :/ )

“This is so exciting!” Faith called as she flitted about, kicking up the sandy soil of the runway.

John supposed it was exciting, in a way. The Collapse was coming at last, and they were that much closer to New Eden. Though, it was much easier for Faith to be excited, now that she was free and clear of having to marry the deputy. Whether or not she “preferred” men, John wasn’t sure. But he did know that she didn’t like them exclusively. He’d seen the way she’d eye up her priestesses. He couldn’t exactly blame her. But, unfortunately, he had too much evidence against him to use the same excuse with Joseph. So, despite his wishes, his hat was in the ring for the title of husband.

“I’m just glad she’ll be out of my hair for the time being,” John muttered.

Jacob laughed heartily at that and slapped him on the back a bit too roughly, jolting him forward as they walked along his property. “Happy to help.”

“Why did you?”

“Hm?”

“Agree to take her,” John clarified.

His brother shrugged, nonchalant. “Didn’t see why not. She’s supposed to spend time with us both and, like I said, she’s not half bad to look at.”

 John could admit the deputy was attractive. Just shorter than him, she had long, slim but muscular legs. Her skin was pale, almost unbelievably so considering how much time she must spend outside. Her time outdoors, though, would explain the shock of freckles coating her face, chest, and arms. Her hair was darker than his sister’s, but not quite brown, and very long, always braided out of her face. Her eyes were big and a cloudy gray color, he’d learned when taking her confession, not blue, as he’d previously assumed. Her figure was athletic, but her chest large, a trait he knew his brother shared his own admiration for. If he’d never met her, he’d love to spend a night in bed with her.

But this wasn’t a night in bed; this was marriage. And he had met her. She was a hellion. A murderer. A being made of pure wrath. He loathed her. He couldn’t picture himself, or Jacob, ever growing to love her. And he couldn’t picture a godless monster like herself ever loving anyone.

Yet Joseph claimed it was true. The Voice had shown him. And if this is what it took to get into New Eden, he hoped Jacob and the deputy managed to find love, and that his brother managed to temper that woman. Still, though, he’d want better for Jacob, and he told him as much.

He laughed at that and shook his head. “Why’s that? Decided you want her for yourself after all?”

John felt his nose and lip twitch in a snarl at the thought.

“Relax. I’ll take her. A pretty young wife that can hunt and fight? There’s worse women out there.”

John snorted in disbelief.

“Besides, I’m trying to find out the Whitetails’ position. The deputy on my side can only help that.”

“I can’t picture you loving her, though,” John said.

“I don’t really believe in love, Johnny. And I don’t think it matters.”

“But Joseph said-“

Jacob raised a hand to silence him. “I know what he said. But as long as I can get her on my side, and we like each other enough to coexist without bloodshed, I think that’s enough.”

John wasn’t sure he agreed.

“I can’t really imagine wrath incarnate as a sister.”

“I’ll keep her in line,” Jacob laughed. He was so unshakeable, even now. John couldn’t imagine what that was like. Stoic among others, but affable with family, no matter the circumstances. John didn’t think there was ever a moment he could have been described as genuinely affable.

“I’m glad she’ll be my sister,” Faith chimed in from just behind them.

Where had she come from? Had she skipped a lap around the entire property?

Faith pushed between the two of them and stopped them in their track as she pivoted to face them. She had an orange flower she had pilfered from somewhere in her hair, and two more in her hands. Tucking one behind John’s ear and the other into the breast pocket of Jacob’s jacket, she spoke.

“It’s just me and three brothers. I’m excited for another girl to marry in! I’ll finally have someone to do girly things with!”

If she wanted to do “girly things” with the deputy, she could’ve just married her herself. But John decided to let that go, along with the flower in his hair.

“How do you think it’s going in there?” she asked, gesturing to the house.

Based on his previous dealings with the deputy, John couldn’t imagine it was going well.

Okay this is a weird au idea, but Honeyfern survives the snake bite au, maybe because Frecklewish (Thunderclan) was watching over her?

your brain is big - briarkit still almost gets killed by the snake, but honeyfern saves her by killing the snake this time! - after she kills the snake and is comforting briarkit, she swears she sees a grateful glow of two clouded amber eyes hiding in the trees. - everyone goes back to camp. briarkit stays in the med cat den for a little while to help with her shock, and honeyfern isnt allow to leave camp cuz berrynose wont let her - eventually shes able to convince berry to let her out with the help of poppyfrost - she goes back to where she saw the eyes, but finds nothing. - over time, she has many dreams about her life, except in each dream, there a golden she-cat watching her with caring eyes. the same eyes that were watching her when she saved briarkit. - she and berrynose have kits! (these kits replace poppy's kits) seedkit (named after seedpaw), a cream she-kit with golden spots, and frecklekit, a speckled, golden tom-kit who was born blind. honey doesnt know why the specklekit came to her it just... felt right. - berrynose vows that frecklekit will NOT become a medicine cat. there is no way starclan is going to make his son something he doesnt want to be. - the golden she-cat honey has been seeing in her dreams comes to her one last time. she introduces herself as frecklewish. honey now knows why the prefix freckle came to her. frecklewish explains how she was killed, and says she knew that honey would be killed, but wasnt gonna let that happen. - honey thanks her, and frecklewish is able to move on into the afterlife (her ghosts kinda just been hanging around all this time) - seedpaw is apprenticed to rosepetal, frecklepaw is apprenticed to brightheart. this is because of berrynose and jayfeather pretty much forcing firestar to not make him a med cat. (jayfeather wants to prove that a blind cat can be a warrior) - seedpaw finishes her apprenticeship and is named seedcrash. frecklepaw takes about two moons longer to finish his apprenticeship but he doesnt mind. - honeyfern specifically asks firestar iffrecklepaw could be named something,,, whimsical? not sure if thats the right word but sure - frecklepaw -> freckledream. - honey and berry are very proud of their kids. seedcrash becomes thunderclans deputy (brambleclaw steps down or something idk) freckledream becomes a inspiration for disabled cats. - briarpaw is crushed by the tree (this happens later). everyone thinks she'll never become a warrior but freckledream, seed, jay, and alderheart send day and night coming up with ideas to help her. - eventually, they find a old twoleg machine (a toddlers toy bike). the top half is all mangled but the wheels are intact. - through lots of different ideas, and help from a few kittypets, the create a "wheelchair", which they call a roller! - they surprise briarpaw with it and over many moons she's able to move once again! - briarpaw is apprenticed to freckledream. because of her injuries, it takes her a VERY long time to finish her apprecticeship (longer than freckledreams) but after lots of trial and error, she becomes a warrior. - briarpaw -> briardash. - timeskip. briardash and freckledream see each other as siblings and are pretty much inseparable. firestar dies and seed becomes leader. - briarlight never picks up a mate, or have kits. this doesnt upset her tho, she likes being able to do stuff without having to worry about a mate or kits. - freckledream has kits with uhh idk. a she-cat. they have kits. - ravenkit, perchkit and reedkit. and in another litter, birchkit and... maplekit. :)

my favorite part of warrior cats is the grotesque story of squirrelflight, ashfur, and the extended cast of cats that sound like they came out of an ajj song

this gal named squirrelflight flirts with a guy named ashfur a few times. typical 80s romance song. its quick, its fleeting. squirrelflight gets together with brambleclaw. its all real lovely. brambleclaw gets promoted to leader after squirrelflights dad goes into retirement and makes his deputy the chief. brambleclaw is now bramblestar

(before the promotion and after the marriage, brambleclaw leads the entire 4 clans to a new territory. not relevant. he also stabs his brother in the neck with a tent stake)

and then squirrelflights sister leafpool, who is a medicine cat and sworn into celibacy, has sex with a guy from windclan named crowfeather. this is something all the cats are sworn not to do. double illegal.

crowfeather is a bit of a whore because he was previously in love with another girl who went on a magical journey with him when he was a child. (brambleclaw was there for that too. brambleclaw is eternal and everywhere) the girl crowfeather was in love with got impaled by a falling stalagmite while protecting a tribe of savage feral cats with names very similar to english translations of a few native american names i know. interesting. racist? there was a mountain lion involved

yeah so they have sex and leafpool gets pregnant. but since she did two crimes in one she gives the kids to squirrelflight and pretends they belong to her and brambelstar. theres an uncomfortable birthing scene because the kids decided to emerge from her cat uterus in the middle of a snowstorm. this is very telling of their characters after birth

theres three kids. jayfeather lionblaze and hollyleaf. jayfeather is very angry. lionblaze is angry but in a brave way. hollyleaf loves rules. they are a legendary trio

theres a thing about superpowers, and a prophecy or something. jay is sickly and blind and can see peoples thoughts. lionblaze never loses any fights, ever, and he maims ashfur a little while theyre trianing. hollyleaf doesnt have any powers, but she is absolutely obsessed with the warrior code and gets caught up with a guy named sol who says the world is gonna end. none of this is relevant except the "bootlicker hollyleaf" thing

ashfur is stewing. ashfur has been stewing for years now. long enough that they literally brought all 4 clans across the continent to a new territory kind of stewing. hes lonely. he misses the girl he was madly in love with, and shes married to the coolest guy in town. hes in agony. (over in windclan, crowfeather has a new girlfriend. manwhoring as long as he lives)

theres a big fire. thunderclans entire territory sets on fire. everyone is escaping, except for squirrelflight and her three kids. jayfeather, lionblaze, and hollyleaf, who is contemplating becoming an antivaxxer or something

imagine this: a clearing on the edge of a pit. the pit is where the cats live. everything is on fire around this clearing. there is one log running across the clearing, and squirreflight and her fake kids are going along it to escape. theyre the last out

ashfur appears he stands at the other end of the log. hes pissed. hes crying. he hates squirrelflight. he hates her so much. his rage is all consuming, like the fire that burns around them. he says he wants her in as much pain as possible, and he knows how: taking the only thing she loves in this world. her 3 kids

we all know something ashfur doesnt. the kids arent hers. squirrelflight, though non an omnipresence, is gifted with this knowledge herself.. she sees ashfurs twisted evil mind and tells him, flat out that they arent hers. she doesnt love them. he can kill them, they mean nothing to her. they are, after all, just her sister leafpool's. why would she care for them?

ashfur is stunned. he gives up. he leaves. squirrelflight and her three kids leave. its a bit awkward. imagine the thanksgiving dinner table after a particularly bad argument. thats all this is really

anyways. hollyleaf is broken from this. shes the daughter of a medicine cat and a manwhore from a clan that only eats rabbits. she cant take it. much like ashfur, she snaps

there are these big clan meetings, once every month. everyone goes, except the old people and the dying people and the kids who just want juiceboxes and lunchables. thunderclan is heading out to the Meeting Island. they find a body in the river. surprise! its ashfur

they go on to the gathering despite finding the body of one of their finest, most mentally haunted warriors polluting the stream with the blood seeping out of his slit throat. the three kids are there. squirrelflight is there. leafpool is there. bramblestar is there

this story has very weird heathers energy to me. its there, but it isnt coherant. like a bad remix of 100 gecs, sort of. this part is no exception

hollyleaf runs up to the big tree the clan leaders stand on and monologue. shes not allowed to do this. perhaps the sense that she lost her identity with her illigitimate birth turned into something real, that the warrior code didnt matter anymore. perhaps she was just tired of being kind; she wanted to go apeshit

she confesses. to two things. number one - the muderder of ashfur. how tragic. number two - leafpool. leafpools affar with crowfeather. squirrelflights lies to her for her entire life. theres chaos. thunderclan is like stan twitter after a minecraft youtuber said something racist 8 years ago. the 3 other clans are trying desperately to get in on this drama. the hot tea of the hour if you will

hollyleaf says her share. she runs away. lionblaze and jayfeather chase after her all the way back to the thunderclan territory. she yells at them. she runs into a tunnel and gets crushed by rocks. thats the end. shes dead.

jk jk that was a lie shes alive and shes living in a huge cave system with a ghost cat. remember the native american coded mountain tribe? yeah, they had ancestors. the ancestors lived at the territory the 4 clans moved to after squirelflight flirted with ashfur and before she got together with bramblestar. they used to drown little kids in the tunnels. jayfeather is the entire reason why the ancestors moved to the mountains and became the racist mountain tribe. i wont explain the timeline of this, and i dont think i could if i tried

up above hollyleafs slowburn romance with a transparent cat, theres a new girl with superpowers. prophecy fulfilled yadda yadda. her sister is annoyed that she isnt #quirky and so she joins a fighting cult run by the cats in hell. i cannot stress this enough its literally every cat from the 50 some books before this who went to hell. they have an army of children. theyre training them. the sister kills one of her classmates and becomes equals with the hell cats. my second favorite plotline in the series

the hell cats come to the land of the living. the sister betrays them. theres a big battle, and its supposed to be the end of the series but you know theyre gonna continue it for at least 20 more books. (they did). hollyleaf appears, and i dont think its ever explained how or why. but shes back, and she joins the battle. everyones too busy with the literal hell cats to care much about some kid with a body count of 1 appearing randomly

hollyleaf fights a bit. she gets mauled to death. thats the end. its just over. she dies and she doesnt come back. rip to a queen

i think my biggest question besides why would someone create this ad continue to do so for fifty plus books, is how the fuck brambleclaw stabbed his brother with a tent stake when he literally doesn’t even have hands. what.

Summary: When Marinette posts a flyer for the school festival, Lila brings up her sudden trip to Achu the day before and is just heartbroken that she can't attend.And when the class turns on Marinette, demanding her to reschedule the festival so Lila will be able to attend, well, for once, she won't be alone.

prompt:  Lila starts lying about trips and such when Marinette starts discussing plans for a school wide festival to make Mari look bad and inconvenience her. The class gives Lila sympathy and demands Mari reschedule the whole thing despite Marinette saying she can't but they wont have it. Exasperated Marinette tells the other class presidents and student councils this and needless to say they're outraged "Why should we reschedule a school wide event for ONE person?!" The aftermath is up to you

Marinette hummed to herself as she hung up the last flyer on the school bulletin board.

The school's student council, consisting off all the class presidents, class deputies, and some faculty, had decided to have a school-wide festival to help boost kids spirits. They'd spent months planning this thing, having fundraiser's to be able to pay for it. They'd finally saved up enough where they could purchase all the snacks and drinks and pay for a DJ, and fun little games and prizes.

It had all been planned to a T.

Except for one little detail.

"What's this?" Lila asked, lips pursed, as she and their classmates examined the flyer.

Marinette frowned. "We're having a school-wide festival next Tuesday, and-"

"Next Tuesday? That's disappointing." Lila said sadly, holding a hand to her heart. "I'm going to Achu on Monday, and I won't be back until the following week." She sniffed, holding back tears. "I know you don't like me Marinette," she said, "but planning something, knowing I can't attend? I just want to be friends."

"Oh, Lila." Alya said, placing a comforting hand on the girl's shoulder. "I'm sure Marinette didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Maybe she didn't know about your trip. I'm sure she can reschedule it for the following week."

Alya glared a Marinette. She was giving that girl an out, and she better take it.

"But I can't." Marinette said, frown still in place. "That's not fair. We spent weeks-"

"Yeah, right." Alya said, rolling her eyes, arm wrapped comfortingly around Lila, who was quietly 'crying' into her shoulder. "You just don't want Lila to attend. You're going to reschedule it."

She didn't leave any room for argument as she, and the rest of her classmates, left, probably heading back to the class room.

Marinette pulled out her phone, sending a quick text, before pocketing it and heading to class.

Class was no better. Everyone was once again ganging up on her the second she entered the classroom, not even bothering to let her grab her seat.

"You've thought about what you said, haven't you?" Alya said, arms crossed, as she glared at her former best friend. "You're going to reschedule the entire festival, so that poor Lila isn't excluded?"

She could feel Lila's smirk without even having to see it.

But seriously. Did she not even hear herself? Reschedule the entire thing! For only one person!? Did they even read the flyer? It clearly said it was planned by the student council, not just Marinette! She couldn't reschedule it even if she wanted to! (Not that she does. Especially not for Lila.)

"Alya, I told you, I can't just-"

"Of course you can!" She said, throwing her arms up in the air in exaggeration.

Ms. Bustier walked in then, or rather tried to, as the class had been cornering Marinette in the doorway. They all moved out of the way though, so she could enter the classroom, and sit at her desk. "What's going on here?" She asked.

Alya immediately piped up, sending Marinette a smirk. "Marinette's throwing a festival on a day where she knows Lila won't be able to make it. And she refuses to reschedule everything."

Marinette groaned. "Alya, I told you I-"

"Marinette," Ms. Bustier said gently. "why don't you just reschedule it? I'm sure everyone will forgive you. You shouldn't exclude Lila."

Marinette couldn't even believe what she was hearing. She just shook her head, and pushed through her classmates to her seat in the back row. She sat down, placing her bag on her desk.

She pointed at the clock. "Shouldn't we start class? It started 5 minutes ago."

Ms.  Bustier hesitated, before nodding. "She's right. Everyone to their seats, please. Take out your textbooks."

"They what!?" Aurore shouted, after Marinette had recounted the details of her day. "They seriously expect you to reschedule the entire festival for one person?!"

"I know." Marinette said with a roll of her eyes. "I don't think they even realized it's not my decision. And I'm pretty sure none of you want to reschedule, right?" She saw everyone shake their heads in agreement. "Exactly. Even Ms. Bustier thought I should reschedule it! She knows the student council is planning it, not just me. She's supposed to be setting an example for her students!"

Aurore rolled her eyes. "Well, she is setting one. Just the wrong one. Now, back to the task at hand. What are we going to do?"

"I think I have just the plan."

"Marinette!" Alya exclaimed, angrily marching over to her. "We told you to reschedule it since Lila's in Achu! How could you do this!?" The rest of their classmates quietly voiced their agreement to Alya's statement.

"I told you." Marinette said, exasperatedly. "It wasn't my decision. It was the student council's decision and they refused to reschedule the entire event for one person."

"You never told me that." She retorted.

"Yeah, because you cut me off. Every. Single. Time. Did you even read the flyer? It clearly said so. Why don't you call Lila. Put it on video chat. I'm sure she'd love to see what she's missing. I even set up a little surprise for her."

Alya looked a little concerned at the twinkle in Marinette's eye, but called Lila nonetheless. It wasn't like Marinette would bully her in front of so many witnesses, right? And Alya would be holding the phone the entire time.

"Hey, girl!" Alya said, a smile forming as she waved. "I wanted to show you the festival so it'll almost be like you're here with us. She slowly moved the camera so Lila could take in everything.

"Aw, you're so sweet!" She said, with a smile.

Marinette motioned with her hand for them to all follow her... To a big stage set up in the center of the festival.

"Hello, Paris!" Jagged Stone screamed.

Everyone started cheering in response.

"I was invited to put on a show for you all! But first I wanted to put an end to some rumors I've heard floating around, about some girl. Lula? Layla? Something about a cat? I would never own a cat. I'm allergic, and they're not very rock n' roll! Also, something about me writing a song for her? Which couldn't possibly be true. I would never write a song about a minor, that's not very rock n' roll either. Now that that's out of the way, who's ready to rock!?"

The crowd was screaming in excitement, as he started to sing one of his most popular hits.

The students from Ms. Bustier's class were standing there frozen.

Alya didn't even notice when Lila hung up the call.

The only thoughts running through their heads was that Lila was a liar, and that Marinette... Was innocent. If Lila had lied about that, she'd probably lied about everything!

And they'd all believed her.

Alya slowly turned to where Marinette was standing.

She'd warned them constantly, continuously, and stuck her neck out for them after they'd bullied her and exiled and ignored her.

She really was their 'Everyday Ladybug'.

And she was going to do everything in her power to earn back her trust and friendship, no matter how long in took.

So you just crash-landed behind enemy lines in a war you know barely anything about except that your role seems infinitesimal and insignificant, and dumped into a year, 2020, that already seems fifteen years too long.

Before you drown your sorrows in some fantastic scotch or wine coolers for days (or weeks)… I have a proposal.

That you step back from the flames, tune things out for a bit, and try to forget about the outside world for a while (but don’t forget to vote or I will be very sad at you!).

These fics are meant to take you out of your head (I’m including more plot/story-minded fics than PWP) for the next few weeks or months as the world goes to hell (even more) but of course there are some bits of solid angst in these as there is wont to be in many a fic. Check the tags, read responsibly, don’t like-don’t read, ship and let ship, and please do leave a kudos and maybe even a comment! :)

Potterverse

I’ve chosen to pick fics (mostly) off of AO3 for their easy reading access, though HP fics’ golden years were on sites like fanfiction.net and other independent archives like Sycophanthex and others which have closed their doors over the years, sadly. Some of these fics date back to almost 20 years old, or more, amazingly!

For fics on fanfiction.net, I highly recommend using this link (FicSave) to epub/mobi converter rather than dealing with the frustrating app. It functions like AO3′s built-in download button.

Mapleshade good i love her

She was introduced as this character who was just a dark forest cat

All you know about her is that she was evil

Then shes this figure of torture in crookedstar promise

All you know about her is that she is evil. For these reasons we hardly understand or that are explained and that crookedstar was no part of. She seems evil and irrational. All you know about her is that she is evil and your meant to think nothing else

Then mapleshade vengeance happened

And most of yall seemed to read it and continued to think mapleshade was evil and that was it. plain and simple Because you've been told this for so long that you haven't considered ever that she can be seen as anything else.

Mapleshade is already a character written in a poorly written book series that tends to make things very black and white. Especially with rules and how cats feel. Stuff along these lines. If the writers say a cat is evil we for some reason can’t seem to be allowed to see them as anything else even if some of their evil stuff is agreed to be ok on other characters or isolated without the characters name attached.

Mapleshade is a cat who lives in the clans, and anyone with the ability to think knows the clans kinds suck. There are rules that are ridiculous and even harmful such as these mixed clan romances and shit.

Mapleshade also appears to be living in a time where the clans are cruel and strict.

Mapleshade is a cat who made a mistake with the cat she chose to loved. Appledusk never loved her and she made the mistake of getting close to him. 

She wasn't in love with Birchface. She never had to be. But when someone ask if that's her kits father, of course she says yes. Because she knows the laws and isnt looking to start up more trouble than she is already in.

Mapleshade killed appledusk, who more than deserved it. And was surrounded by cats who let her kits die. Cats who despite seeing and knowing her loyalty and young young kits decided their laws were so important that the death of one cat (Birchface) was worth ruining a whole family and letting children drown. (I really don’t see anyone talking about blaming the cats who let all this happen, only yall you want to say mapleshade let her kits die and shit like HELLO?)

Mapleshade loses her kits, I often see people say 'she killed her kits it's her fault for making them cross the river' like hello the books are badly written?? You think this lady who clearly loved her kits so much would have done that just because and not because she thought she needed to. You act like bluestar didnt take her kits out of camp in the freezing cold and lose one. Mapleshade was desperate and afraid with no where to go but with hoped riverclan. All she had was hope, and at her kits death she had nothing. With appledusk and darkstar and everyone else turning her away at this point she had less than nothing. She is upset and she goes on her quest of vengeance against cats who wronged her over and over. ( I really don’t understand how this isnt seen as an epic tale of a mother who sought vengeance for her three lost children sPECIALLY when we on SO many occasions have seen  cats murder others for equal to less reasons. its a fucking fantasy book about WARRIOR feral CATS yEAH sometimes a killing gonna happen and it DOES A LOT!)

Mapleshade lives in world that chose to be nothing but cruel to her and she dies by its hands.

'Mapleshade is a murderer!' So are a lot of cats yall dont NEarly give as much shit for also it's a fantasy cat book where they fight and shit big woop

BUT the real point I'm making, my idea for better writing

Mapleshade has killed these cats who wronged her and starclan sees her through their glasses of black and white. She is a murderer. She goes to the dark forest.

But miraculously despite their stupidity, they recognize some of the cats she killed as rule breakers. they are also sent to the dark forest

Mapleshade spends the afterlife tormented by the ghost of her past.

She stands on the edge of the dark forest and thinks of her family

Then

Crookedstars promise

But instead of just a story where mapleshade haunts and torments crookedjaw

Crookedjaw struggles with mapleshade as she tries to get revenge, tormenting him however she can. She has become twisted and dark with her time spent in the forest. 

However, Crookedjaw learns about Mapleshade. hears the stories of mapleshade. Here's the vile way people say her name. They see her as evil because it's what they've been told. A story of this cat who killed Riverclan warriors for what their told, no reasons. Shes only a murderer.

But Crookedjaw gets the full story from Mapleshade and potentially others.

He sympathizes with her and understands why she would be so hateful and spiteful of his family despite many moons past.

Crookedstars promise becomes a book of healing. Crookedjaw does what he can to atone for his family's mistakes and what they did to mapleshade.

Mapleshade isnt sure she can ever forgive what happened.

Crookedjaw and bluefur fall in love and she has their kits.

Mapleshade watches. She is seen by crookedjaw less and less as she had begun to watch over bluefur and her new born kits. She sees herself in the new queen. She wants her to thrive and be well.

When mapleshade knows bluefur has decided to take her kits to riverclan so she can be leader. Mapleshade wants to yell

She watches bluefur get up and take her kits. Mapleshade yells and yells to bluefur. she tells her to turn back. It's too cold, turn back. They wont make it, please! Someone else can be deputy. Do this another day. Anything! Please dont do this!

Mapleshade frantically tries to get her ghostly cries to reach bluefur

Snowfur's ghost walks on in silence. Eyes on mosskit.

Mosskit drops. She dies and Mapleshade cries for the kit who has died too young. For the blue queen to has made a mistake that got her own beloved kit killed. Much like Mapleshade has many moons ago. 

Mapleshade is heart broken as she watches bluefur get her kits to riverclan. the only thing that brings her joy is watching Crookedjaw and Oakheart accept these kits to their side of the river lovingly, accepting them fully as family. 

Snowfur leads mosskit to starclan. Mapleshade follows as far as she can go to make sure they make it ok.

She stands at the edge of starclan like she has so many times. Watching the two cats walk right in.

Snowfur stops. Still quiet. And gives a single nod to follow.

Mapleshade enters starclan. She sprints into starclan until she is met with her babies

Mapleshade lives out her days with her babies, and her new found family with snowfur and mosskit. Soon oakheart. Stonefur and bluestar. Crookedstar is there happy to see the cat he knew deserved a second chance. They wait for mistystar now.

Mapleshade is finally at peace

Appledusk replaces maples position in the dark forest.

All you were supposes to know about mapleshade was that she was evil. But maybe she could be more.
