Take Care of Him

The boy, who had Damian’s face, couldn’t be more different than Dick’s (alive?) baby brother.

Aside from his Snow White hair, he smiled and laughed freely, making puns on top of his embarrassing story about his supposed twin brother.  

(“Clones don’t have childhood memories right?  So if I have an embarrassing story or two, that’ll give you a way to check that I’m not a clone AND give you ammunition for teasing!”)

“—And that’s how his face—and his pride—was forever wounded by Sparta the warrior cat!”  Danny finished his story with a flourish, cracking up immediately after.

“Huh, and to think he left it at “training”, obviously he didn’t think anyone would let the cat out of the bag.”  Dick said, laughing even as he eyed the lookalike.

Danny snorted.  “Yeah, I doubt he thought anything as Cat-astropic as that would happen.”

They sat in silence for a moment, overlooking the buildings below, with the Dalv. Co. Labs smoking in the distance and the breeze blowing past the two, yet only seeming to affect Nightwing and not the phantom beside him.

“Is he safe?  Is he happy?” Danny murmurs as he looks up at the stars, looking every bit the forlorn ghost he claimed to be.

“…We keep each other safe.  And I’d say once he got past the stabbing faze, he’s pretty happy in Gotham.”

“But I’m sure it’d make him happy to see you again.”  Dick thought back to the comments the vampire-ghost they’d fought earlier.  It didn’t sound exactly, “happy” or “safe” for Danny.  Or anyone else involved.

Danny shook his head.  “Nah.  He’s… moved on.  And with how crazy my after-life is?  I’m already dealing with ghosts, ghost-hunters, and my—err—that frootloop from earlier.  I do not need to add furries and murder-ninjas to the mix.”

Danny sighed as he floated into a standing position.  “Speaking of which, if you could just, maybe not tell him you saw me?  Better to let dead dogs lie.”

Danny’s piercing Lazarus green eyes looked at Dick and he saw the exact same expression B had on whenever he “had to do it alone”.

“Just, take care of him, Kay?  Or I’ll haunt you to the ends of the universe!”  He said, throwing up a peace sign as he turned invisible.

Dick snorted, “Yeah, sure kid.”

Dick got up and started off toward the bat-plane.  He had a brother to interrogate, and another brother/clone of his brother to find.

(OC Lore and design time!)

(it got longer again ... sorry ... idk how to make things short, i just need to talk, but i guess if you can read the written stuff in the pic thats the barest bare bones of what i wrote here)

i was asked what new lore story stuff i had thought about that made me sad which i mentioned a bit ago, and while that is too hard to explain given all the missing context i thought i could at least talk about lore having to do with it :D

so, (Lord) Eadrya is one of my fav OCs (big blue lad, here a rough sketch in humanoid form) they are both one of if not THE most powerful demon alive and the most battle trained;

at the mid point of the story the demon world gets invaded by the celestials (the angel inspired things i talked about in the previous lore post with Xaror) and Shargon, as the king, should be their first and only frontline, but at this point his life is only being sustained by maschinery after being mortally wounded, he cannot fight (he realizes what is going on, rips himself off the maschinery to get at least his youngest child to safety, barely managing it before dying- the guardian, the demons god, takes over his body to attempt to fight against the celestials but cant keep itself alive long enough since its host is already dead) Eadrya takes the role of the frontline fighter (despite being very full of themselves and aggressive they care about their 'job' of protecting their own, also giving them the chance to show off just how strong they are); the fight was going well for them all things considered, but when the guardian activates it drains the power of all elemental lords (which Eadrya is one of, and since they have the most strength it also takes the most from them), so much so that they lose the fight and suffer deadly wounds (the worst being a spear through the chest made of a material that grows hard, root-like formations when in contact with demonic blood like a fungus but worse, also stopping any self healing processes) after the guardian falls apart it creates a huge shockwave of energy that stuns every living thing within a certain distance and possibly more-

Eadrya (in true demon form, so like a blue whale in size at least) was likely taken through an active gateway to the human world in a large tidal wave also created by the guardians fall; they wash up in the harbor of a small secluded village, the head of which is 'lady 13'; although never having seen a demon before and everyone being afraid (largely thinking its a strange hurt animal, only she suspected otherwise), they still gather all villagers to pull out the celestial spear, which is diffcult and brutal given that its already taken root, but the village lacked both knowledge and means to help any other way- doing so damaged their heart which is how they were able to collect samples of all three demonic blood types ('normal' -red like humans-, energy -essentially purely magic- and heartblood -highly concentrated energy only found within the heart of a demon and the only one to contain genetic material) (this is the start of Eadryas character arc, having to deal with the fact that their world is likely destroyed, them failing what they didnt think they could fail, having lost a battle so badly (even if not really their fault) for the first time and not knowing if literally anyone else has survived .. also being now stuck in the human world, which they dont like)

Lady 13 (placeholder name? stands for experiment 13) is a human that was tricked by demon hunters to enroll into a series of experiments trying to create hybrids of demons and humans, which they hoped would be powerful and easily controllable tools for their endeavours, though the two are inherently not compatible, they tried grafting body parts of demons on humans to make them compatible- all experiments failed except for her, more or less, though she never got to see the hybrid she carried and was then told it had died too, they threw her out believing she wouldnt survive much longer either and all such experiments were cancelled due to the high cost of human life, research material (demons are still rare) and upkeep with no successful results Lady 13 survived though (perhaps even via the pirates picking her up?) and she ended up living in said small village far away, hiding her half demonic body, though most know there soemthing 'wrong' with her (her being this tall when it doesnt fit the rest for one), only few know the full extent; she enjoys the life she has now, perhaps on the more poor side but safer and more loved than ever before; she largely lead the efforts to try and help Eadrya when they ended up in the harbor, though there wasnt that much anyone could do it was still enough- they leave immediately after waking up, but return after really having nowhere to go and struggling to deal with everything that has happened; over time (probably years) they start to open up towards the people there (though not .. very much) enough to get rather close with Lady 13 too- she actually falls madly in love but after Eadrya (extremely aro/ace) rejects all her attempts quite clearly she respects their boundaries

However, after hearing news of potential demon sightings Eadrya decides to leave in hopes of not being the last demon left after all; Lady 13 then decides to reveal her secret to them (though hearing and seeing what lengths hunters would go to for their experiments makes them absolutely seething with rage- she insists on not being out for revenge) and asks if they would be willing to donate a small amount of heartblood; shes always wanted to be a mother but is now incompatible with humans too- through things she picked up back at the experiments facillity, hers and her doctors research she is sure that is all that is needed, she dares to ask since she does not know when, if ever, she will meet another demon, much less one she could actually trust enough for this though Eadrya hesitates (why would she want to go through the same thing again that didnt work and threatened her life, if it does work, do they want to be involved with any of this? what if hunters find out it worked after all?) but after her ensuring that they would have no part in it other than giving up a little blood and would not be considered a parent in any way, nor made responsible for anything that might happen to her, but considering it all in the end they agree to it

only for her to reveal shes had a small bottle of it already, along with multiple samples of the other types, which she collected when Eadrya was bleeding out into the harbor not knowing if they will survive, though not wanting to make use of it without their consent either way (they are actuallly rather touched by this)

alot later the main group returns here and it turns out to have worked (though she is unable to walk/bedridden for a long while bc it did alot of damage to her body, which can heal since its demons parts, but only really slowly bc she does not have a full functioning system and no demonic blood of her own -she uses the other samples for the healing process-) though its a little awkward to explain, especially considering that 13.1 took alot after Eadrya xD (their theory as to why it worked so "well" that time is that even though the sample was already taken, them giving their consent for it still made it less likely to be rejected; demons dont need partners to have offspring, and all can do it, they just have to decide to- so them agreeing to it, even though its long been outside their body, still had an effect on the blood sample)

Hey there! Can I ask for Housewardens, Vice Housewardens and the Adeuce Duo with a Female Tanjiro Reader (Who has Nezuko with her) who’s known for being really kind, helpful and naive about technology (So a LOT of people assume she’s a pushover and a ‘Peaple Pleaser’ because they can’t fathom why she would do ALL these nice things for others without her getting something out of it)

He’s still reeling as you defend yourself to the teachers

But now he sees you so differently

“A-a queen?!”

Now that he thought about it you were the perfect for a position of a ruler

Strong, rule-abiding, nurturing, irrefutablely obsess-worthy protective…oh he could go on!

But silently of course he wants to give you a kingdom to rule

The moment after, he implements new rules among the students of Heartslabyul

 When you confront him about these new rules

In simpler terms perhaps he just found it really hot that you so quickly were able to defend for your brother

He sees you in action during Riddle’s overblot watching how you protected your brother Ace, Deuce, and Grim 

He almost forgot to use his own magic while watching you move so finitely like a deadly dance

When all's said and done everyone breezes over your obvious power

And all he can do is assure Riddle, and calm the students of Heartslabyul

But later he circles back, asking you about your occupation

“Ah yes in my world, I’m a demon slayer. I trained really hard to get to where I’m at but if I can save another family from him..well it’d all be worth it.”

He finds that he admires you more than ever

As a family man himself he can only imagine what you had been through

So of course to show his appreciation he’s showering you in desserts

And as he watches you gulp down him his work, he realizes that if all goes to your plan you’ll go home

Back to a world of demons

Back to a world with pain

A world he could easily save you from 

He can’t do as much as you could but he’ll do his part

And if that means making it so you’d rather not return he doesn’t mind being your reason

“I’m hoping you love this tart I made for you. Filled it with love.”

Is horrified when he first sees you so easily slice at the shard monster in the cave

Torn between running from you and kissing up to you so hard that he’ll never be on the receiving end of your Hinokami Kagura 

But he realizes that your just too sweet 

Too caring for someone so freaking strong

“Ace, you look as though you're going to burn with a fever. Let me check!”

Even when he teaches you the foreign game of basketball you obviously excel

Your just too awesome 

But you’d be even more awesome if you used that insane strength of yours to put those snobs in their place

Too many times as he seen you get taken advantage of

“You’re too nice, (Y/n). One of these days someone’s definitely gunna stab you in the back.”

For awhile he was just waiting for that to happen maybe even orchestrating it 

But at the last minute he’s interceding

There's no way he could ever beat you but there is one place he seems to excel above you

And that’s just looking out for his your own

So don’t mind it all to much when Ace off-handedly mentions a rumor to be truth

Or informing you about how this one homewrecker student had been talking about Nezukuro

You don’t need to trust anyone else really 

Just him

He’s entirely telling the truth

“C’mon (Y/n) trust me! I couldn’t nearly do that much damage to a buff guy like that.”

Deuce Spade

“Whoa.”

He’s in shock for the next couple days

He had just recently admitted to himself that he admired your studious tendencies for an honorary student

Only to realize how much you surpassed him in delinquent tendencies

Scratch that you surpass him in actual strength

You never really join him in the sports club so how would he know 

But that just makes you more of someone worthy of admiration to him

He doesn’t fully understand your occupation but he’s especially curious when he sees you whip out a sword while running from that gem monster

He’s too busy blushing anytime you acknowledge him to really be jealous of anyone else

He just focuses on you and him

He doesn’t have the foresight to think about what happens at your old home

Especially since you seem so strong it must have been a breeze for you

Can he rub his face on your abs

“(Y-y/n) you're so strong! I-I could never reach your level b-but I hope you still give me the time of day!”

“Of course, Dear! I don’t mind getting you started on the brutal training of a demon slayer!”

“Dear?!”

“...That’s unexpected but its nice to know an herbivore like you can at least be strong.”

He really wasn’t expecting you to so quickly lay waste to the Savvanaclaw students that were giving you, Nezukuro, and Grim trouble

He really thought low of you when it came to standing your ground

Too often could he recall ‘your friends’ whining for time that you barely have to take part in whatever problem they’ve gotten themselves stuck in

You smile way too bright

always igniting that heat from the inside of him

Which is really uncomfortable in the environment of Savvanaclaw

He gets excited about this 

He low-key wants to fight with you 

But he knows he won’t be able to have your hand in marriage even if he tricks you

You just won’t shut up about your mission

“So this Muzan-guy, huh? You’re going to kill him?”

“Yes! I have a long way to go but I’m ending the suffering he causes and saving Nezukuro!”

“Sounds exhausting. Sleep with me.”

He doesn’t like when you talk about it–your old ‘home’

He seriously debates letting Crowley or anyone for that matter present any information about sending you home

“A strong mate isn’t a common thing around here. It won’t hurt to turn a few books to sand.”

Ruggie Bucci

“Whoa…so that’s what you do to demons?”

“Yup but no worries there won’t be too much damage…hopefully.”

You most likely mentioned it while easily helping Ruggie carry some groceries around

He noted it but it didn’t really register until you casually pulled a sword off of a decorative knight to defend him against some zombie-like assailants

as you easily dodged and then struck with the hilt of your sword before dealing some calculated blows he near wets his pants

He always thought you were easy

 always smiling, always helping, always being a step below what he wants

But the moment he starts seeing you in such a position of power he’s devoting his time to you

He tries to act like he’s not shaking in ecstasy at the thought of you owning him

But your just too sweet 

He can hardly stand it

“Y-you’re awfully powerful despite your no-maj status. Are you sure your muscles don't need a massage? Or me to soothe your aching bones? Or to hold me as tight as you can I can handle it..its my choice of compensation.”

“...Would you be willing to be employed?”

He often finds himself too flustered to approach you

In fear in over-excitement of your sunshiney attitude

Always complimenting his smarts

Encouraging him when you think he’s down

Even going so far as to cheer him on

He could barely believe it when he saw you so easily swing a broom slicing through this violent students uniform

“One of the rules here is that we don’t fight. And since I’m sure we both love it here let this be all, okay?”

As he watches the student run out clutching at, what was left, of their uniform his jawdrops

But he recovers pushing up his glasses as he calms the onlookers

“ N-no need to worry, all our staff are more than capable of doing their job…and maintaining the piece! No need to worry.”

And he will when the lounge is closed and the madol counted 

“What in the Great Seven was that!?”

He’s used to seeing Jade and Floyd levels of power 

But you…your on a completely different level

After all his questions he pinches the bridge of his nose as you tell him about your world

He realizes how alike you two are

You’ve both entered a market full of vulnerable students

Ones you both had a clear advantage of 

The problem is your in the business of being too nice and planning on going home

While he’s more interested in actually making your home in the Coral Sea and making sure he’s your next mission

It’s in his interest that you don’t go home 

And this octopus is willing to pull every potion off the shelves if it means you can keep complimenting him while he imagines that you become his

“(Y/n) sign please! This contract will save you me so please sign!"

Jade Leech 

“Oh my this is…intriguing.”

You continue to amaze him with everything you do 

A demon slayer?! With exemplary sword skills? 

And you're just too sweet to boot?!

He really has good taste in mates

When he sees you so easily escort the giant of the SavvanaClaw dorm out of the lounge since him and Floyd were occupied

He’s doing the eel equivalent of purring at the sight

While he’s more than happy to nip at a submissive, weaker partner

You’re just as strong if not stronger and he’s so excited 

Forget the chase! 

When it finally came down to it you would be his beloved entertainment

A mate that he could constantly tame 

Not to mention the fact that you already were strong enough to hold your own

Riddle was off for one of his house warden meetings and wouldn't be back for some time... you could try to escape...? But you knew it'll leave you more empty then if you just stayed.

You were stuck in Riddle's kingdom... if you even peeked outside, Riddle had order his card knights and report anything and everything they see you doing. Riddle will discipline you for just "looking at the roses on the top floor."
