im in a stranger things character music mood so here are some artists each character for sure likes
will: super obvious but the clash, the cure, david bowie, billy idol, the police, talking heads, etc. (i feel like this is a very basic answer but its the truth)
mike: he is so 90s so weezer, oasis, radiohead, etc (i already made a post abt this)
dustin: hall&oats, tears for fears, wham!, KISS, TOTO, a-ha, michael jackson, duran duran, baltimora
lucas: idky the first thing i thought of was bananarama but he would so love bananarama. beegees, michael jackson, earth wind & fire, jackson 5, stevie wonder, george michael, prince, idk
el: i dont think she really has time to listen to music but she would like popular 80s pop. like cyndi lauper, madonna, wham!, electric light orchestra, kim wilde, stacey q, the gogos, tiffany, soft cell, reo speedwagon, abba, bonnie tyler
max: kate bush obviously, blondie, duran duran, bon jovi, pixies, soft cell, tears for fears, rick springfield, no doubt, billy idol, pat benatar, tiffany, joan jett, etc
max and el are similar but el's is more 'listening to music for the first ever time' vibes while max is more lived in
jonathan: talking heads, the ramones, the clash, bowie, duran duran but only girls on film, the cramps, depeche mode, R.E.M., phil collins, the kinks, the animals, billy idol, the cure, the cars, blue oyster cult, jimi hendrix, styx, pixies, pink floyd, cheap trick, genesis, ozzy osbourne, foreigner, etc. i could go on and on. i think there would be a little more 60s and 70s in here too.
nancy: madonna, heart, reo speedwagon, billy joel, roxy music, cyndi lauper, joan jett, pat benatar, hall & oats, blondie, kim wilde, whitney houston, kate bush, tiffany, wham!, soft cell, bananarama, bonnie tyler, stacey q, lita ford, the bangles, cher, pet shop boys, john mellencamp, paula abdul, u2, olivia newton john, etc
steve: bon jovi, survivor, journey, boston, yes, DEVO, dead or alive, eddie money, kansas, foreigner, scorpions, warrant, etc. basically just basic (but good) bands that make him feel like a badass LMAO
robin: idk, just a slightly dorkier version of nancys playlist if that makes sense. i can envision it in my head i just cant execute it
joyce: heart, fleetwood mac, the mamas & the papas, journey, foreigner, boston, tom petty, toto, guns n roses, janis joplin, the rolling stones, jimi hendrix, blue oyster cult, ELO, led zeppelin, grateful dead, pink floyd, jefferson airplane
hopper: bad company, joe cocker, bob seger, eagles, the cars, jefferson starship, bob dylan, journey, styx, johnny cash, bruce springsteen
i could probably add so many more artists but it would probably go off the rails so i just gave u the basic ones
also i was looking at character playlists on spotify and most of them sucked (steve harrington is not listening to mitski) so heres some inspo for actual music they would listen to if you want to make a more accurate playlist
#i like some of these lists better than the others#stranger things#stranger things 5#will byers#mike wheeler#byler#dustin henderson#lucas sinclair#el hopper#eleven#jane hopper#max mayfield#jonathan byers#nancy wheeler#steve harrington#robin buckley#joyce byers#jim hopper#music#80s music

grandma Rosiepuff's pod in the sims 4
ok, im finally doing it. here is grandma's pod in the sims like i said i would do. i used opefulee's floor plan for the pod (they have a pod tour on yt)
the first room is the living room. i gave them lots of toys bc theyre kids, mainly for floyd and branch. i did add some things that i added to the bunker build, like the pink vase is in jd's room. i love the little height chart, the tree one fit the best to me. theres lots of little things, like the records on the wall or the baby things on the table or muddy foot prints by the door
next is the bathroom. i hate builds that look to staged, like an open house or something. i like to make mine look lived in, thus all the clutter everywhere. i wanted to shove the changing table into a counter but it suck out. i put baby things near the changing table. there's makeup and a small mirror for Floyd, a cup with tooth brushes and skin care products, cologne, and bath product slight out of frame. there's a hamper, a basket of clean laundry and on the floor is a pile of clothes. and branch's lil potty for potty training.
on to the kitchen, i made it such a weird shape it was hard to fill it without making it cramped. the bulletin board with concert date and school activities. some priceless China that totally wont get broken in a pod with five boys, never. school art projects hanging up on the walls. more muddy foot prints by the back door (who do you think did it). a calender on the wall for other dates and such. cookies on top of the fridge. couldn't forget branch's high chair and wine in the fridge bc raising five boys must to be hard so grandma needs a drink
time for upstairs. its a simple hallway, a few pictures, no the boys TOTALLY DID NOT draw on the wall around their door. Absolutely not. i put a broad with childrens drawings bc grandma cant hang their drawing on the fridge, the door is glass. were not going to talk about how i fucked up the railing
on to the actual brozone, the boys room. i wanted to take bits and pieces from each of them bc thats what you do when you share a room with you siblings, you put in what you can. beds go as followed, first bunk (left) Spruce on top, floyd on bottom. next bunk(right) top is clay and jd is on bottom. then branch's crib. i put the alarm clock next to jonh's bed bc i imagine hes the one waking his brothers up for school or rehearsals. floyd has a lil ghost night light by his bed, spruce has a reading light up by his to read fan letters. thers board games on their dresser. floyd has nail polish by his bed. clay has books on his bed. i made it where they could rehears their songs and record them in their room. agian more cloths on the floor (seriously who keeps leaving those lying around) and another toy box bc clearly these boys dont have enough toys.
thats it, thats the pod. did you enjoy

Yuu No. 83 Birthday Vignette
"A party? For me...? Oh, how nice of you. Oh, but make sure Shin and Ghidorah don't fight over the cake, okay?" - Yuu No. 83
NRC School Newspaper A Birthday Interview with Yuu No. 83
Grimm: First off, henchman. I, the Great Grimm, would like to wish you a happy birthday!
Yuu No. 83: Thanks, Grimm.
Grimm: Now, onto the questions! Firstly, I would like to know how you found something like Shin and Ghidorah, and why do they look so weird?
Yuu No. 83: Ah... They're a special kind of organism. Something ancient, yet new. Like an endangered species, yeah? Doesn't this world have all sorts of magical beasts?
Grimm: Is that so? Sounds fishy...
Yuu No. 83: *nervous chuckle* I'm sure you're much more iconic than any magical best, Grimm.
Grimm: Fufu~! Yeah, I am! Not even a dragon can be more popular than the Great Grimm!
Yuu No. 83: But Shin beats you in being the cutest *smirk*
Grimm: Wha-! Hey! I'm much cuter than that chihuahua thing anyday! You just have a bad eye for cuteness...
===
Grimm: Next, what is up with your name, Yuu? And why is your last name 83? It sounds very weird to have a number for a last name...
Yuu No. 83: Oh, you probably didn't know...
But "Yuu" is the nickname everyone in NRC decided to give me because they couldn't remember my number ID.
Grimm: How hard could it be to remember 83?
Yuu No. 83: It's actually 083-116...
Grimm: Funya!? That's it?! No real name or anything!?
Yuu No. 83: Let's just say... I grew up somewhere militaristic. There were a lot of "kids" in that facility- I mean, "boarding house".
They couldn't give all of us names so they used numbers to be more orderly... But I do agree that it seems out of place.
Grimm: How many were you all living in that place?
Yuu No. 83: Umm... about a thousand.
Grimm: Aren't you cramped in there?!
Yuu No. 83: It was a really big "boarding house", okay? So, can we drop the subject and move onto the next question... please.
===
Grimm: What's your favorite food?
Yuu No. 83: Noodles! I love the broth, the toppings and I love the variety. I am a huge fan of beef noodles!
It's so good to eat on a cold day or when you get sick.
Grimm: Noodles aren't that full of meat though, if it were me, I would want a big juicy steak!
Wait... now that I think about it what do Shin and Ghidorah eat?
Yuu No. 83: Well... Shin eats mostly anything, sweets, meat, and fruits. But he likes raw meat the most. It's quite hard to stock up, especially when I'm not that good at hunting...
And I don't want to impose on Rook even if he was offering to help.
As for Ghidorah... he eats minerals. He doesn't eat anything else other than that. I tried but they all end up being thrown away... or at me. *scowls at Ghidorah*
Grimm: I can understand, rocks taste good too if you pick the right ones!
Yuu No. 83: ...
===
Grimm: By the way... what's with that pink little box that you always carry in your pocket?
Yuu No. 83: It's my taser.
Grimm: What's it for?
Yuu No. 83: It's for self defense. Just a press of the button and... ZAP! They get stunned long enough for me to counterattack or run away. Useful, isn't it?
Grimm: You must be paranoid or something... Do you really need something that severe?
Yuu No. 83: This thing is the only thing keeping us away from being squeezed by Floyd.
Grimm: Good point...
===
Grimm: Look at all the gifts! Which ones do you like best, Yuu?
Yuu No. 83: Professor Crewel gave me these custom harnesses to carry Shin and Ghidorah around. It doesn't lessen the weight, but at least I have both my hands unoccupied!
Though, Shin is the only one I bring around campus. Ghidorah is too heavy to carry on my side. I have to hold him in the front.
His weight makes my back sore...
Grimm: He is bigger than Shin.
Yuu No. 83: Then Vil gave me this ring that was modeld after his crown. I don't wear much jewelry, but I like the simple yet elegant design of the ring.
Grimm: I bet it's worth a lot of madols!
Yuu No. 83: It probably is... And I feel so scared to acidentally scratch it.
Grimm: What's this one?
Yuu No. 83: Oh, that's the last of my favorites. Deuce actually took me to a place where we can spin gacha machines.
I spent a good chunk of my savings to get a bunch of cute and tiny figurines, hehe!
Grimm: You seem oddly fixated on those things. You don't even use them for anything.
Yuu No. 83: Hey, it's just a hoard, okay? I don't judge you for stuffing mountains of tuna cans under the bed.
Grimm: Urk! Anyway... happy birthday once again, Yuu. This concludes the interview from yours truly, the Great Grimm!

The backstory of this song:
"The music was composed by the guitarist, David Gilmour, while the lyrics were written by the bassist, Roger Waters, who based them on his experience of being injected with tranquilisers for stomach cramps before a performance in 1977. He said, " a doctor backstage gave me a shot of something that I swear to God would have killed a fucking elephant. I did the whole show hardly able to raise my hand above my knee. The doctor said it was a muscle relaxant. But it rendered me almost insensible. It was so bad that at the end of the show, the audience was baying for more. I couldn't do it. That was the longest two hours of my life, trying to do a show when you can hardly lift your arm."
The song's working title was "The Doctor".
This 2005 performance in London was the last time Pink Floyd played together live.
*Also notice that just 19 years ago the audience was completely engaged, and not recording the concert through their phones.

I'm curious, what kind of music do you listen to?
I grew up with a lot of music thanks to my father, who collected records that he always played. I love listening to 60s, 70s, psychedelic rock, but I do also love punk, grunge and goth music!
Artists/groups I love; The doors, Donovan, The runaways, Joan jett, Siouxsie and the banshees, Stevie nicks, Fleetwood mac, Cream, The electric prunes, The art of lovin', Electric light orchestra, Shocking blue, Kate Bush, Creedance clearwater revival, David Bowie, The Beatles, Mazzy star, Hope sandoval and the warm inventions, The mamas and the papas, The rolling stones, The sweet, Eagles, Billy Idol, Led Zeppelin, The hollies, Blondie, Pink Floyd, Duran Duran, Doe maar, The cranberries, The moody blues, The cramps, The velvet underground.
Being pagan, I also like to play these artists during the turning of the wheel to connect more with each sabbat; Lisa Thiel, Libana, Spiral Dance, Kellianna (elemental)

FINALLY.... UPDATED JJHH REDESIGNS..!!!!!!!
Ermmmm design notes/hcs bc I don’t remember ever going into detail the first time soooo:
-more pleasing/more coherent color palette/color coding (orange for Jackson blue for Holt) bc god the og colors are way too all over the place
-sun/moon, yin/yang, half n half etc motif (the necklace, pants, sweater, earrings etc etc)
-holt isn’t straight up blue because.... brother look at his og design.... -_-
-slightly darker skin tone than canon just bc I think darker skinned Jackson designs are cool, tho I’m not 100% certain on his ethnicity just yet? Still up in the air like I said it was mostly just bc it looks cool to me lol
-more punk/emo type clothes for holt (patches on his jacket, nail polish, platform boots etc (tho technically I like the idea Jackson was the one who bought the platforms just bc I think he really likes emo fashion but doesn’t want to outright wear it))
-also keeping the clothes the same/consistent bc i find the logic of them magically having entire different wardrobes when they switch kinda strange lol ?
-hybrid features (you can’t see it here but Jackson also has fangs not just holt, and the “dyed” part of his bangs i like to imagine is actually side effect of being part fire elemental and his hair might slightly flare up if he’s mad methinks) (holt is the same too like his hair fading from Jacksons brown to the orange instead of being just full on fire, also his skintone being a bit human leaning and not like multicolor) I’ve not designed Heath but if I did then holts human aspects would be a lot more apparent to have a full fire elemental for comparison
-holts patches on the jacket are all just lots of dad rock bands I grew up listening to that I think he’d like (if you’re curious considering a few of them are just logos/not got the name, in order: Queen, the cramps, the white stripes, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, twisted sister, nirvana, journey (I saw them at concert actually!!), Pink Floyd, and cheap trick!^^)
-if it’s not also obvious from holts jacket but: duality boys got the transmasc/bi swag, alsoooo some autism/adhd too (tho not sure which one it would be specifically ?)
-hc that instead of music it’s overstimulation/stress that causes the switch, for holt tho I’d say it’s the reverse so like it would be understimulation? (This idea isn’t very new tho I’ve seen a lot of ppl do it but it just makes a bit more sense to me tbh, also plays into the duality aspect more) I’d say things go more by DID rules (tho canon does that too kinda? But also not really??), so fronting isn’t strictly stress related and can be controlled/at will, and I hc they have a kind of head space type thing but I’ve yet to get it down on paper just yet
-OH I FORGOT TO MENTION:
Based the cardigan on the one komos has in the movie bc it’s one of my favorite outfits that they used :D
Um I think there might have been more stuff I wanted to say but can’t think of anything else, sorry if this was rambly/I said stuff I’ve already talked abt it’s just bc I’ve not done MH stuff for a hot second so wanted to do a little hc recap, plus had fun going over the character design stuff !! ^^
ALSO: holts patches in full quality bc they where fun to edit/draw for a few of em:
#monster high#jackson jekyll#holt hyde#mh#monster high redesign#jackson monster high#holt monster high#monster high jackson#monster high holt#monster high au#this reminds me I still don’t have an official name for this outside of like monster high rewritten but that doesn’t feel accurate#Bc it’s more like a what if scenario/me playing around with hcs and not like a FULL on rewrite#Idk it only just hit me lol#mh fanart#mh jackson#mh holt

WHAT MUSIC THE BOWERS GANG LISTENS TO ☻
Belch Huggins
Per his shirts, Belch is a massive hair metal fan. When he was twelve and had a massive argument with his father, Belch stuffed twenty dollars in his jeans and walked thirty minutes to Derry Grooves, where he was introduced to the wonders of Metallica and Motörhead by the gangly, acne-ridden teenager working the cash register. Since then, bands such as Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Slayer, and Judas Priest have been the soundtrack to his life. That doesn't mean he doesn't get jiggy with some of the more "corny" rock, though — Belch has a tender spot for AC/DC and Aerosmith, which he has fond memories of listening to with his father on their better days.
Henry Bowers
When Henry listens to music, it's often used as a method to posture around his friends — around Belch, Patrick, and Victor, Henry puts on certified tough-guy bands such as Danzig, Anthrax, Black Sabbath, and Mötley Crüe (which Belch is overjoyed by). When he's alone, though, Henry likes calmer, more trippy music; in very rare moments of down-time without his father lurking around the corner, Henry listens to the psychedelic-heavy albums of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd. Though he wouldn't admit it aloud (as it's not "hard"), "Planet Caravan" by Black Sabbath is his all-time favorite song.
Patrick Hockstetter
One of Patrick's favorite things is to make people squirm, and that reflects in his music taste: whether it's "A Child of a Few Hours is Burning to Death" by the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band or "Add it Up" by Violent Femmes, Patrick takes great joy in. He typically seeks out fast-paced music that stimulates him while also having an "edge", which led him to developing a taste for horrorbilly, punk, and art rock: his favorite bands are Pixies, The Clash, Ramones, The Damned, Mudhoney, and The Cramps. Suffice to say, Patrick does not get radio privileges when the gang is driving.
Victor Criss
Like Belch, Victor takes music seriously, and considers himself a connoisseur of post-punk and what is now considered "trad-goth". After his middle school crush made him a mixtape with the likes of Joy Divsion and The Cure, Victor fell into a rabbit hole of similar music, and even after they grew apart (she moved to Augusta to live with her aunt), his genuine love for that type of music stuck with him. Day or night, you'll probably catch him rocking to Pink Turns Blue, Bauhaus, Ministry, or The Danse Society.

The Best Album Per Year for Sixty Years
No-one asked for it, of course, but I do like making lists, so here's me pondering what have been the best Long Players in the album artform the past 60 years. I originally tried to keep it to just one per year, but many years that proved impossible: when listing multiple albums I have tried ranking them with the one I feel narrowly edges out the others first, and I use lower case to indicate an album that is not at the same level as others on the list but was the best I've heard from that time.
Feel free to have fun with the list and make up your own.

IS THIS LOVE (THAT I'M FEELIN'?) | BOB FLOYD X LOOT (PART 2)
Archive of Our Own // Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5 - Part 6
Summary: Bob & Loot go on their first date.
Warnings: Smigde of weight issues mentioned. Flufffffffffffff
Word count: 1,603
‘Let me just check…you’re a nervous driver but you’re cool with going transonic in the F18?’ Loot regarded Bob with disbelief.
‘Well, in my head it makes sense. The other planes are further away, no chance of taking off your wing mirror.’ Bob expressed himself with his hands, this was the first time you’d seen him speak so much. He smiled his crooked smile a lot, looking off to the side with a grin each time you challenged him on something.
‘Whatever you say, Bob. Not that any of them could just shear your aircraft in half with little effort and leave you to fall out of the sky…’
Bob scoffed, ’that could happen to you once in your life, how many times you had a fender bender?’
You shook your head, ‘I’m a great driver, actually. I’ve never hit any one and fell out of the sky…’
‘Ok ok, fine.’ Bob raised his hands, his cheeks were hurting, he’d never met anyone who could make him smile as much as you. He’d thought about trying to secure a second date, but you’d only been on the first for two hours.
Usually that’s how long the dates lasted before they realised he was too shy, too awkward, too quiet.
The waitress came by to squeeze more plates onto your already cramped table. Tapas is always a good idea, you thought sharing some food would be a way to open him up a little. Bob would steal glances at you when you stuffed something into your mouth, you’d always had a good appetite.
‘My mother used to joke that when I wasn’t eating, I was thinking about food.’
‘Food is awesome.’ Bob pressed his lips together on hearing himself. ‘If you got nothing important to say, say nothing.’ Is what his father would tell him.
‘Too right food is awesome.’ One of the parma rolls was lodged in your cheek as your face lit up from a smile. ‘When I joined the navy I had to get into serious shape,’ waving a hand to let Bob know he didn’t need to picture you several years ago. ‘Body composition never mattered to me but it seemed to matter to every one else.’
‘I think you look perfect.’ Bob blurted out, spearing some potato onto his fork.
His eyes were looking everywhere but at you, he’d embarrassed himself again. Every time he had that look, you wanted to reach across and grab his chin and kiss him right on the mouth.
Maybe later, you didn’t want to scare the man away.
Plates empty and virgin cocktail glasses drained, Bob felt a nagging feeling in his tummy, he didn’t want the date to end. Luckily, he’d chosen a restaurant which was a bit away from your apartment, so at least there would be the drive home.
‘Hey, um, do you maybe wanna,’ Bob was scratching the back of his neck nervously. ‘I’d like to go on another date with you.’ The strong voice was coming back. Tell her what you want, it said.
‘If we do,’ you started, Bob felt himself deflate a little, maybe you didn’t want to see him again.
‘There are a couple of rules. Number one, no group dates, I want you all to myself and no trips to the movie theatre, I pretty much want to actually see you the whole time.’
‘Deal,’ Bob almost yelled, the tips of his ears turning as pink as the sunset they were watching.
You had your feet dug into the soft sand, arms wrapped around your knees.
‘Maybe we can hire a boat.’
‘I’d like that,’ he nodded, honestly he would agree to almost anything as long as he could spend more time with you.
‘A row boat, specifically.’
‘Why specifically?’ Bob mirrored your sitting position, his cream coloured vans almost indistinct from the sand.
‘So not that I’m a creep or anything but I’d really like to see you sweat. Put you through your paces, ya know?’
Bob threw you a look, ‘no one has ever really flirted with me the way you do. It’s nice,’ he added softly.
You leaned in to bump his shoulder, wondering what he’d look like without his shirt and his dark green sensible jacket.
‘But for real, I just like boats. I originally thought of joining the navy to go to the submarine division. Then I realised I don’t like the confinement, the thought of being stuck somewhere kinda brought up old feelings.’
‘Old feelings?’ Bob urged.
‘This sounds stupid but I grew up cut off from a lot of things, like a cult situation.’
Bob raised his eyebrows in surprise, of all the people he’d met, you’d seemed the most care free, world wise and interesting. ‘I don’t wanna seem dismissive but I find that hard to believe.’
You shrugged, ‘that was part of the reason why I choose this life. Far, far away from the old one. I still want the structure but oddly enough, the navy gives me more freedom than I’d had before.’
‘I get that. My dad was navy, so I was expected to join but honestly, I love it.’
‘No matter where you come from, you end up right where you need to be.’
Bob turned to look at you, your eyes were glazed over a little, looking back at him.
Now is the time to kiss her, confident Bob suggested.
Leaning in, his lips found yours. Softly at first, just a lingering kiss before he felt your hand on the back of his neck pulling him in closer.
His glasses shifted and he moved away, looking down at your lips, still puckered, opening a little.
‘You’re real nice.’ His brain was beginning to misfire, he wanted to put his hands on you but he didn’t know how to ask.
‘Bob,’ you whispered, ‘stop thinking and kiss me.’
‘Yes, ma’am.’
After a moment of sweet kisses, Bob gingerly placed a hand at the back of your head, rubbing this thumb softly against the lobe of your ear.
Hearing your satisfied sigh, he chanced touching your waist with his free hand.
Bob
A delicate whimper of his name spurred him on, kisses becoming greedier, harder.
Pushing you onto your back in the sand, he hovered over you, eyes meeting yours as he pulled away, silently giving him consent to continue.
Boldly, the hand that was sitting at your waist began exploring, the backs of his fingers running along the bare skin above your waistband.
If he had shoved his hands down into your panties right then and there you would not have protested. But he was a goddamn gentleman.
The breeze was kicking up, when you opened your eyes you could see it ruffling his sandy blonde hair. You ran your fingertips across the wild strands, Bob’s eyes were searching your face.
Were the kisses over? He really hoped they weren’t.
He was reaching under your shirt, how very daring of him. You could see the desire to continue etched in his expression.
You lifted your head so your lips met his in a chaste kiss. There was that crooked smile again. You loved it. You already loved it.
‘Can I bring you out in a row boat soon?’ Noses touching, fingers sliding up over your ribcage, goosebumps in their wake. You rolled your hips to meet his, feeling him for the first time. Just a quick check, he was growing against you. He cursed under his breath.
‘Will we get the boat now?’ He nipped at your neck, trailing kisses to your collarbone.
His hair was thoroughly mussed from your enthusiasm, he let out a long breath as your nails scratched his scalp.
You giggled in response, this was the perfect evening. Sunset on a beach, with Bob laying on top of you, kissing as much of you as he could.
‘Ok, ok,’ he said finally, pushing himself up onto his knees. ‘I don’t want to get caught canoodling on the beach with a fellow lieutenant, we can’t get into trouble yet.’
‘Canoodling? What decade are you from Floyd? And what do you mean “yet”? I thought you were as far from a trouble maker as I could get.’
Bob ran his hand along your stomach, settling back on his heels. ‘I might surprise you.’
‘You have no idea how sexy you are, do you?’
No, he really didn’t. He blushed and lowered his head, grinning shyly back at you.
‘Come on, I’ll drive you home.’ You stood and held out your hand for him as he dragged himself up and brushed off the sand from his legs.
‘I had a really nice time.’ You were leaning against your car, Bob had his hands on either side of you, kissing you slow, saying some really sweet things when you broke for air.
‘Next time I see you, I’ll be expecting a kiss.’
‘At work?’ Bob squinted, wondering how much trouble he’d be in if he grabbed you for a passionate kiss on the tarmac.
‘Maybe not at work, let’s try keep it professional, kay?’
Bob nodded in agreement while he kissed you. After what seemed like one thousand kisses, he walked up to his door and turned to wave you off. Touching his lips, where yours had been, your lips.
He didn’t remember kissing anyone else that way in his whole life.
He fell onto the couch, kicking off his sandy shoes on the rug. Fanboy turned to greet his roommate, barking a laugh when he saw the lovesick look on his face.
‘Dude, what the hell happened to your hair!’

if the monsters [the main/first four at least] had theme music what do you think it would be like,,, asking because I only compose once in a BLUE MOON and I need ideas so I can make songs for them WITH your permission ☝️
OOOOOOOOOO this is a good one hmmmmmmmmmm
Kobb's theme music would be what I call "protest/revolution music" like shit from the Vietnam War era and the early 00's Green Day/MCR. Just that vindictive, angry music of the system and just playing their feelings out when faced with near-hopeless situations against infinitely powerful entities.
This might be a sneak peak into what I have planned for the 5-year time gap between BoTW and ToTK, but if I had to make a "theme song" for that period it'd be "Holiday" by Green Day (ESPECIALLY THE LYRICS "the ones who died without a name" BECAUSE IT'S LIKE ALL THE MONSTERS THAT WERE LOST TO THE MALICE FOREVER AAAAAAAAA)
Sledge is sea shanties. Like, I can't really think of a better music style for its whole arc. It's the reminiscing of how things could've been, it's the melancholy memories of those who are no longer there, it's the isolation of the sea, it's the finding the small joys in those around you, it's the being stuffed in a small spot but never feeling cramped, IT'S SEA SHANTIES BABYYYYYYY
I don't have a specific song for Sledge, but just that minimalistic and/or vocals only shanty/folk song that works best. Funny enough when writing some chapters I occasionally put on like 3-hour sea shanty mixes from YouTube jhkajsdfhjl
Zayl to me is extremely Pink Floyd core (psychedelic rock in general but especially the band). Zayl is such an interesting character because from anyone first meeting it, it's this extremely chill down-to-earth monster that looks like it's never had a worry in its life. But then you scratch the surface and find that while its personality isn't a front, it's been dealt SO MUCH pain and anguish that you wonder how it can still be smiling. And then you have the musical contrast that PF does when it goes from ethereal to whimsical to gritty and harsh, and how Zayl whenever it enters combat seems to become a completely different monster with how it shuts down and locks in. Like it tries the hardest out of all of them not to let remnants of its old life leak out, but when they do it's more obvious than any of them.
If you have 17 minutes of free time, PLEASE listen to Dogs by PF. It's such a good song and I cannot get enough of the lyrics about working yourself to the bone, stepping over anyone in your way, all to please those above you, only to get discarded, betrayed, and tossed away when you've outlived your usefulness. It's one of THE allegories that inspired how I wrote the Malice in RaTC
Rezek is 100% fast-paced rock/metal. Shit that comes to mind for me is like Offspring, MUSE, Megadeth, etc. Probably its most famous moment where it goes toe-to-toe with the whole Wizzrobe army in the chapter "Reapers and Hawks" is a direct callback to the song "Reapers" by MUSE (and naysayers will call Drones bad and MUSE's worst album which it ISN'T but this isn't the place for me to rant about that lol)
It just fits its fighting style too well. I just love that I gave it this frantic almost manic style to contrast its more uppity nature than the rest of the monsters. Perhaps it gets a little too into the magic but you can't argue with results.
I hope this was the answer you're looking for! I have very old-people taste in music thanks to my parents giving me Dark Side of the Moon in middle school jhalfdjhk
One day I'll make a playlist of every song that helped inspire me to write RaTC and all the songs I have imaginary music videos of my blorbos dancing in my head,,,

TRACK REVIEW: Roger Waters - Money (2023)
Genre: Spoken-Word, Art Rock
This is a song that is very difficult for me to be biased about. The original, iconic Money by Pink Floyd is in my opinion one of the greatest songs of all time. 6 and a half minutes of Prog Rock genius which flies by thanks to the efforts of the band, particularly the amazing vocals and guitar playing of David Gilmour.
So when former member Roger Waters announced this year that he was going to "celebrate" the 50th anniversary of Dark Side Of The Moon with a complete reimagining of the tracks (minus the rest of Floyd of course given his tense and very public relations with Gilmour), I was sceptical to say the least.
I was absolutely right to be so. This first single, a rerecording of a song I love so much, is so dreary and dull that I had to stop myself at several points from putting on the original and listening to how it's supposed to be. Now this is no fault of the instrumentals - they're fine. Slowed down and stripped back, but in my opinion become long on the tooth after the 3 minute mark (not a good sign when theirs still half a track to go).
What ruins the track for me is Waters' dreadful vocals. Now I wasn't expecting much from him - he's approaching 80 and his vocals were never that great to begin with. But this low monotone voice just turns the song into a challenge to not doze off to. What's even worse is Waters' baffling decision to add new lyrics in place of the guitar solos and they're equally as bad. At times the faux-poetic surface level ramblings feels similar to the writings of an English major who swears his poetry is going to change the world but will inevitably end up in a cramp flat full of unsold books and debt payments.
This rerecording is an embarrassment to the original song and places everything good with it with an ego so large I'm surprised that Roger hasn't given himself a heart attack from staring in the mirror too long, which is the only way I can imagine that he came up with such a terrible idea of an adaptation. Spare your ears, skip this one.
Overall Rating: 2/10
