I think Luke would be terrified of the ocean. Like he grew up in the desert, never seen the ocean, yada yada, but also the ocean is a terrifying concept even to people who're familiar with it, with increasingly fucked up creatures the deeper you go and its currents sudden and deadly, now show it to someone who never even imagined such a vast pool of water?? He'd be like it's like a cave but it's very very deep and also you can't breathe in there and there's pressure and weird fish and- at least in the dune sea we had the twin suns!! This is like quicksand but there's no sun! People swim in this??!

my fic is sooooo close to being done i promise !! i've been thinking by about posting it in parts, but i'm also like one connor pov away from done so idk. i kept on getting new ideas for it since they're actually so fun and interesting to write lol. i've also been busier lately so that's delayed it, but it's whatever i guess lmao. anyway i have many thoughts. mostly about their ✨dynamic✨ personality wise

so connor is super competitive like nate is but in a totally different way. he's such a gentle leader and is so calm, but i also love hitting on how that makes it hard for him to speak up and get help when he needs it. like. him and nate start talking BECAUSE OF LEON. that man had a crush on him since team north america and was too shy until leon was like "hey.. so you've been struggling with losing right? well how about you talk to the dude who's known for his leaps and bounds in his mental health?" which was basically leon's sneaky way to get connor to bond with nate and matchmaker them lmao.

and then there's nate, who is just. fiery. he's so passionate and aggressive and it matches connor perfectly. they're like the missing pieces of each other in my fic and it's so adorable i can't wait to post it aaaaaa

anyway that's them lol :3 i'll definitely pin the fic to my account once it's done and posted to ao3, which will hopefully get done by the end of may if i'm lucky so just look out for that 😅 ty for the ask !! i seriously fucking love getting to ramble abt these two 🥰

I love crabs! I think they're very silly critters and they're quite fun. That being said I don't know any of the species but my favorite crab is my brother's fiance who we call crabigail (I just call her crab)

Did not finish The Tasks, however we DID find a HUGE snail!!!

He’s a wavy turban snail, and they can live up to 12 years!!! Usually they live further down in the tidal area, but they climb kelp at night, and we think he got pushed in this morning. We put him back (and told off another woman for trying to walk off with him 🤬 we ended up sending a ranger after her)

Also spotted: a MILLION striped crabs, many dolphins, and a huge rattlesnake (?) in the road.
