I'm pretty sure I watched Nirvana in Fire during the height of the pandemic so I'll confess I've forgotten a lot of the details and am mostly left with a general impression of the series, but I will never forget how much the scene of this woman sitting and talking for ten minutes while holding a piece of paper had me jumping on my chair about to go apeshit from the tension and quality of writing build up to this point
i would like to say my ideal PJO adaptation (if i was being physically forced against my will to have to pick a live action adaptation over an animated one for some reason) would be a combo like writing of the musical + casting of the show + visuals of the movies
BUT the show actually does have the playwright for the musical as one of the major writers for like three episodes and that did nothing for it. so...
One of the Nadja cosplayers at the meetup said she thought it was great that Nadja literally never wears the same thing twice, and I didn't say anything but in my head I was like, what the actual fuck are you talking about? They add things to her wardrobe every season but they definitely reuse things! Like hello
I've seen this blouse in two, maybe three episodes, across two seasons.
She's worn this dress at least twice across two seasons.
My personal favorite, obviously since I cosplayed it... she's worn the skirt and blouse together at least twice, she's paired the same skirt with another top, and that cloak has appeared on the show at least six times from season one to season 4, and not just on her. Gail, Nandor and Freddie have all worn it too.
There's also the green velvet dress which I think she's worn three times, and another white blouse that has see through sleeves. There's probably other outfits too.
Like yeah there's outfits we only see once but several of them make repeat appearances, so idk what this girl was on about.
Coming back from Tumblr-break to tell everyone that the movie commissioned a silk handwoven robe à la française was “Dangerous Liaisons” (1988), naturally, and the movie that begged them to rent it and then shredded it was “Last of the Mohicans” (1992)
However, information about this incident has fallen off the internet—even though the damage is visible in the movie—you can see it
god empress ki is such an early 2010s/late 2000s drama…. why is the king telling her he never wants to see her again because he thinks thats gonna keep her safe. why is he going ‘how can she not know my heart’ when he’s literally never expressed to her that he has feelings for her. also everything the emperor is doing in general.
Vourdalak was really good tho, one of those movies thats gonna stay in my head forever and itll be annoying as fuck cause i wont be able to watch it neither online or in cinema
I usually only post Tolkien things because I’m quite literally mostly only in Tolkien fandom, but I became reacquainted with Newt Scamander from Fantastic Beasts this year and I adore him, so I decided to be him for Halloween (especially after cutting my hair). The top photo is a bowtruckle (Pickett) I made out of sculpey clay to go with my outfit, and the bottom video is the costume as I wore it today. Clothes were all thrifted or from my closet (apart from the bow tie, which my wife made), and I used a fabric marker to get the yellow color on the vest. I got the [inaccurate] case at a secondhand store when I was 7.
