It’s literally a gacha game and stupid as fuck. I will not deny that. But the thing is…. What if he wasn’t. Bcs literally the premise is so good of some random bitch getting isekaid to a level of hell and having to make friends with the seven major sins or die. In my minds eye it’s good.

Like imagine u have the luck/disadvantage to end up in actual demon school. And the demons aren’t PG rated like they are for episode 14 onward but actual going to kill and eat you demons. And you can’t leave or get out of it except survive a year. Horror movie this is what actual horror movies are made of. But also all the demons you live with are emotionally volatile and can’t know for a good long time that just being around them is a horror movie. Or else you’ll hurt their feelings and display fear, both of which are. Not great. And will likely end in your death. So you have to spend a year essentially learning all of these demons triggers and what they like. But you also can’t lie to them or pretend. And at multiple points most of them have lost control of themselves and tried to kill you. Like actually tried to eat you or rip you into pieces. And one of them succeeded.

IT SHOULD BE A HORROR GAME like it’s played as a comedy romance but it’s a psychological thriller horror. Oh and also once you finally make pacts with the seven avatars of sin and can go home, the actual ruler of hell is now interested in you. And the worst part about it is at this point you’re so far gone you’re interested in him too

It's wild because it's also perfect for the narrative; when you watch it it's genuinely pretty shocking because the rest of the film has many fights and makes a point of showing that senseless death is wrong, but obv nothing like this.

Also it's a quiet moment at the end of the story after those big fights are all finished. It’s a personal moment. And they just stare at each other for what feels like an agonising length of time before - BANG - this happens. It's brutal.
