Lovesick! Patient x Reader.
Can't you stay longer? ﮩ٨ـﮩﮩ٨ـﮩ٨ـﮩﮩ٨♡
Yes, you can…ﮩ٨ـﮩﮩ٨ـﮩ٨ـﮩﮩ٨♡
Coffee speaking! This is planned as a unwilling to willing but this part is with a full unwilling reader and Tea is healthy again :D so y'all also are less likely to find weird things in the posts lol
Hello! Tea speaking! Since 7UP is already uploaded (we gotta find them names later), it's now turn for my favorite! (Pepsi is better than Coke and you can fight me on that)
tw: yandere behavior, threats, this place should have better security, kidnapping?, deaths of a random person, unwilling reader, written in you/yours
It was only a cold, you just need to go to the hospital to get the certificate and maybe some paracetamol and then leave, easy, isn't it?
As you walk through the hallways of the hospital, you turn left, having a hard time trying to find your way yourself in this big hospital. It seems like your sense of orientation failed this time, as you bump into a man who is dressed in one of those hospital gowns patients wear.
“I’m so sorry sir, I-”
When you were just about to explain your situation, the look of the man before your eyes makes you shut the fuck up really quickly, his blue eyes looking at you seem off but the toothy smile creeping out of his face makes it looks even scarier… oh dear, what have you stepped into?
“I can’t believe they let you in without somebody to guard you… I’m really happy, I can’t believe I found my darling in such an abrupt manner”
You don’t understand half of his words, but one thing is for sure, you have to run as far as you can from this lunatic, but an unexpectedly quick grip on your wrists and a forceful pull towards the room he came from makes it impossible to scape.
The room is the usual hospital room with stretcher for patients to sleep on and medical equipment, you wonder how it can be that there's no doctor or nurse in sight to ask to supervise their patients, but you don’t have a lot of time to meditate about how bad the personal of the hospital is as the man makes you sit on a chair that was close to one of the beds.
“Oh, you are so so precious, for the first time in my life I’m really grateful for my luck; I promise to take care of you, the nurses can bring anything you want from outside the hospital gates… We can always break out of this place”
He says such a terrifying thing in such a loving tone that it makes you doubt your own mind for a moment, he doesn't seem like he's gonna harm you as he kneels to wrap his arms around you in a tender and caring hug as you keep sitting.
You take the chance, since he is too focused on hugging you and murmuring sweetly, to take a peek around the room to see if there's anything you can use, it seems like a room that was used some days ago, your eye catches some broken things on the corner of the room, making you wonder what happened here, but you can't afford be lost in your thoughts here, it may end up badly if you make the wrong move, you don’t have that much of an option though since you don’t know how stable this man is.
So, you scream, you scream bloody murder until you almost go out of oxygen in your lungs.
what a useless attempt to seek for help
“Mm? Did something happen Darling? Why did you suddenly scream so loudly? Did you get hurt on any part of your body? Do you need something? Maybe you want some kisses to ease your mind?”
Is he dumb?
You can’t help but look at him dumbfounded as he holds your face reassuringly. Then, a nurse enters the room and you don't waste the opportunity and start talking to them in a quick peace due to the nervousness of what will come.
“Excuse me, I had an appointed but ended up kind of lost and then here in this weird situation, I probably should go head home already”
The nurse looks kind of confused by the situation, but the pity in their eyes is noticeable as they quickly get closer, eager to help.
“I’m so sorry about this, I’m new here so I don’t know much but for some reason there is a warning about not wandering around here more that necessary, you must have been in a panic to see that no workers come here”
You foolishly calm down by their gentle voice as they attempt to get closer with a sympathetic smile from the black haired man, which gets up to stand in front of you while facing the nurse, preventing them from getting close to you.
“You are not gonna take my darling anywhere, my dear just got a little scared for a moment, we don’t need you here to bother”
“Sir, you need to go to your room, this person is not an inpatient, they have no reason to be here, there’s no need to make a fuss about this, so now you need to move aside so I ca-”
oh
You watch in shock as the man takes out a scalpel, the world seems to go into slow motion for a moment just to turn into high-speed a second later, you end up front seat to see how the man stabs the nurse’s neck and then quickly go for their chest, aiming for the heart, without blinking as his white clothes gets stained with red.
“Please forgive me Dear, it wasn’t my intention to show this kind of gruesome spectacle to your pretty eyes, let me guide you to my room, you can sleep there to forget all about this annoying insect, I can sing you a lullaby if that helps, I'm pleased to help”
He says as he gets closer to you again leaving the corpse behind him, lifting you up into his arms, not even seeming to be struggling with your weight, which took you by surprise as you grip him fearing you'll fall off, you don’t trust this man but you really don’t want to taste his patience or self proclaimed ‘love’ for you.
sorry for any misspellings or weird sentence structure ❣

alright, I am dissecting the Emmrich graveyard scene below for how down bad they are for eachother
pls note I have attached screen caps
find my other post here
we begin -
"I would hate to lose you whilst I am still mortal"
this line is directly after Rook questioning all the flirting and what that means for them should he become a lich. which Emmrich responds witht he above. this is a tough one for me to break down as either way Emmrich retains his soul, emotions, and thoughts if he becomes a lich. I believe this line is tied to the fact of being afraid Rook will not want him anymore once he explains his desire to be a lich, as alluded to throughout the rest of the scene.
this one is kind of self explanatory. Emmrich states that nothing will change if he becomes a lich, apart form the no death thing, but would still consider Rook in the decision.
then we are met with a sigh - this is a sigh of desperation. 'how do i choose my words so carefully that Rook see's my desire and doesn't shun me for it' - hence Emmrich goes on to explain what being a lich would mean in hopes rook will still desire him. (this becomes a big factor throughout the rest of the lich romance - desire)
'considerations'
as above, and again now with considering rook. now the first conversation cuts out after this. it is my belief that these considerations are considering Rook and their perspective, whilst also including the fact that it is later revealed that Emmrich might die during the rite, therefore losing Rook whilst still mortal. I believe this line is both a statement of care for Rook, and his fear od death.
throughout the quest, Rook asks Emmrich a bunch of questions, more so just filler content so Rook can understand lichdom and the process.
then Emmrich shows you something that is probably the closest thing to his heart before Rook. his parents graves. keep in mind that Emmrich had these made, and he engraved 'they walk eternity hand in hand'. Then the next shot is Rook and Emmrich walking side by side to the shrine.
walking eternity hand in hand is also mentioned in the lich romance scene,"find you in another world" aka the fade. this man has believed in soulmates for decades.
subtle conversation tactic of, 'what would you want me to be, rook'. here you either say happy with someone who cares about him, or break up with him (i do nOT reccommend).
simple to the point, emmrich is looking for subtle validation here for rooks feelings
and the fact that there is only one correct option is wild too.
If you choose, "Whatever you want", you reply by saying Happy. which very close to the romance committment line of "Happy with someone who cares for you."
Emmrich is looking for that connection so so badly, hence why only one option
Emmrich's gaze towards Rook as he asks them what shes wants, and baring his soul to her.
after committing - Emmrich does not look away from rook once.
rook is fucked. rook is head over heels in love and smitten with this man. keep in mind that throughout the rest of the game, there are conversations with companions where Emmrich will straight up shut them down when pressed about them 'moving too fast' or 'do you know what you are doing'. Emmrich is very clearly defensive about these things, which is so hot.
in my playthrough, they are necromancers, well aware of how short life is, especially facing the apocolypse. ofc they are going all in.
this man is gonna go home and jump up and down on his bed
do i need to explain this? the shrine of passion and devotion, the ETERNAL SHRINE.
anyway im really, really down bad for this dynamic and them. im also in love with my rook so that doesnt help.
ill most likely do a break down of each scene

Made a little sona for Our Life: now and forever !!!! And since we only got a bit of step 1 and a preview of step 2 for the demo I’ve gotta admit I’m absolutely destroyed this game is comin out next year LOL!!! Immediately whipped and in love with all the characters and now I’m stuck in dev hell so !! I drew this and will probably draw more moments of what I think might happen or just moments outside of the set script in the game
(Don’t mind rhe homosexual shit going on in the corner idk what happened, must’ve been a ghost)
Unfortunately I’ll be hit with the emo Ray but there’s not much you can do, I accidentally based it off of stuff I’d wear in middle school before remembering step 2 is set in the beginning of highschool (fml I only realized now while making the post like “wait a fucking minute” and I’ll reap what I’ve sewn ig) and I just wore pjs and sports clothes, like whatever was comfortable so the emo clothes stay for the ref… they’ll change later. (I was also mainly thinking about how skinny jeans were “in” in middle school even if I hate them now, I wouldn’t even dare to wear them in highschool man inaccurate as hell 💔)
Also these are like the initial doodles of the little avatar I made (I actually had a cherry red jacket irl but my ma donated it long ago so I was a bit happy to see it as a clothing option :3) but I think this little moment in the demo where qiu was explaining why I should join the club and I got like stunlocked by that piece of dialogue, esp with tamarack joining in I was like “if I was 10 I would’ve been COOKED” LMFAO.
But I thought it was silly cuz the dialogue option when I first met him I thought it would’ve been cute and on brand to be like “woah You’re so pretty” and then want to explode when the words leave my mouth. Erm Anywyas I’m really tired I’d say a lot more about my thoughts and already blooming love for the game but I’m tired so hopefully I can blabber more with more art next time yippieee

Top five btvs headcannons?
Hmm. Lots of options to choose from, but let's go with:
Of all the deaths we see on the show that the characters are weirdly blase about and never talk about again (which is most of them) the one I feel should matter most is Kendra's. The writers very obviously don't care about Kendra at all (in a way that makes me pretty angry if I think about it for long) but, at the same, the only way I can reconcile my idea of Who Buffy Is As A Person with the events of the post-Becoming seasons is to try to persuade myself that Buffy is thinking about Kendra a lot of the time, and that this meaningfully affects her relationship with Faith in Season 3 (and, for that matter, with Dawn in Season 5 and the Potentials in Season 7 too). Because, yes, Faith represents a lot of Buffy's own supressed thoughts and desires, and yes, there are lots of parallels in Season 3 between Faith and Angel. But the very fact Faith exists as a Slayer at all should be enough to remind Buffy of the Slayer who was called after her and died before her. How could that not bleed into her relationship with Faith as a person? How can Buffy not look at Faith and be constantly thinking of the Slayer she failed to save? (According to the show's writers, the answer is: very, very easily.[1])
Sort of a meta-headcanon (a headcanon schema?), but: as far as possible, I like to believe that the Buffy characters who are meant to be friends might actually talk to each other sometimes. And when we don't see various personal conflicts get resolved on screen, yet everything seems back to normal later (especially between seasons), I tend to assume they just talked things through a bit off-camera. Probably Buffy and Xander had a conversation after Dead Man's Party which involved him offering a grovelling apology, which is why they're still on speaking terms later that season. Probably Joyce and Buffy actually talked a bit about her being the Slayer before Faith, Hope & Trick, so that Joyce's claim to have "tried to march in the Slayer Pride Parade isn't as absurd as it seems to be on the face of it". Probably Giles and Buffy talked about the Cruciamentum a bit after Helpless, which is why she's forgiven him by the time the next episode starts and she never brings his role up in it again. In particular, this is why I kind of hate the reveal in Season 7's Selfless that Xander never admitted to his Lie in Becoming, and that Buffy just spent the last five years thinking Willow decided to try to cast the spell to restore Angel's soul again without asking Buffy's permission or giving her any warning she was about to try it beyond "kick his ass".
There really isn't any evidence for it in canon and I suspect it's ultimately purely the invention of one of the early 2000s Fuffy writers, but I really like the popular fanfiction conceit that there is some sort of mystical connection between Slayers which (in a way that varies a little depending on the writer) gives them some additional awareness of the other Slayer's presence or emotional state. Not just because I'm enough of a sap to think that that's kind of romantic (although I am and I do), but because it's a nice way to explain away some slightly contrived bits of plotting in the show (all three Slayers have a way of finding each other very quickly when the plot requires it). In the same spirit, though with perhaps a little more evidence in canon, I like the idea that Buffy and Faith's shared dreams don't just happen when we see them, but have basically been going on ever since Faith arrived in Sunnydale (or at least since Faith's coma). Also, relatedly, I still like this headcanon I posted last month.
Sort of an anti-headcanon in some ways, but I refuse to accept that Buffy's memory of trying to tell her parents about vampires back in LA -- and being briefly institutionalized as a result -- (which was revealed/retconned in Season 6's Normal Again) is real. I think that (whatever the show claims) it had to have been a false memory implanted by the same demon that was giving her visions of still being there. Say what you like about whether or not the Joyce we see on the show was a good parent, but this is just blatant character assassination of the worst sort. It completely changes how we have to see Buffy's relationship with her mother and makes several scenes and outright plot points absurd (even if Joyce is the sort of monster who could forget about having her doctor locked up, even after learning that actually Buffy was always telling the truth, why would a Buffy who had been through that still keep a diary in the house she shares with her mother where she talked about the supernatural or prominently put up crucifixes in her house or make jokes about 'saving the world from vampires' when her mother asked her what she was thinking? why would she care about her mother's opinion of her at all? why would she wait until Season 2 to run away from home, and why would she ever come back?). Taken seriously, this just totally undermines a major part of Buffy's character and one of the most important relationships in her life. And for what? A stupid "maybe this is all a dream?" ending to the episode that means nothing and never goes anywhere. No, fuck that. Didn't happen and I simply refuse to believe it did. (I also strongly dislike the idea that it's a false memory caused by Dawn's presence; Dawn doesn't deserve to be blamed for that and her existence isn't meant to have had that big of an impact on the world.)
[1] Actually if I'm being totally honest I suspect that if you polled most of the show's writers with this question the answer you'd get back would be "who's Kendra?"

word count 6.3k
content warning smut and infidelity. also a brief moment of jean dirty talk
author’s notes thanks for waiting guys! i understand it’s been a long wait but may was such a busy month😭 this chapter was longer than expected and i debated on cutting this chapter in half and posting the second half later but you guys don’t deserve that since i left you hanging for a while. i will say that this is chapter 3/4. still debating on how the chapter will look like but i have a feeling it’ll be more of an epilogue than a full blown chapter, but we’ll see. enjoy for now :)
synopsis after the rumbling, you found yourself on your feet in your home town. you have a completely new life - you’re watching your country be built again and now you have a partner! what happens when a man from your past reaches out to you via letter?
Summer 859
Mr. Abe,
I hope your preparations for your trip to Paradis has been going smoothly. Are you sure you and your wife don't want to stay with Queen Historia? This is an official visit and you want to stay with me in Trost?
As I've explained before, my apartment has two rooms but the available room isn't fit for both of you. My mother is willing to take one of you in as well but I don't see how that's favorable as a married couple on an official visit.
Just let me know if you change your mind,
Jean Kirstein
Jean,
He's not budging. He really wants to stay separate. However, he'd rather share the apartment with you; I think that's one thing you can't convince him out of. But that's alright - you're on holiday and I wouldn't mind you checking in on me at your mother's...or you giving me a tour of Paradis. At your own safety of course.
Things here continue to worsen. I thought it was just the frustration of being a leader after the Rumbling but now I'm becoming the problem. I'm not ready to start a family. In numbers, the aftermath of the Rumbling is so far away but for me, it still feels like yesterday. I just got married and now I'm home. There is no society to give in to...so why should I start having children right now?
I don't even love Sebas. I think he's catching on. He's purposely out late and always sleeps somewhere else in our home. When he’s angry with me, he starts to ramble on but I've learned to tune him out.
Again, I'm thankful for your time off. I really need some cheering up.
Y/N
Y/N,
I'm sorry that your situation has worsened. I'll make sure to make your summer here entertaining. I'll let you meet the rest of my friends and they'll take you in as one of their own.
I don't want to agree with your husband here but I think it's best you stay with my mom. My apartment isn't one for a lady such as yourself and my mom will know how to make you comfortable in your struggles. My father was a bit like Sebas.
If I had you in my apartment, mess aside...the things I'd do to you. We'd never go outside.
On a more serious note, I understand your ideas on kids. Other than my affair with you, I've been holding back on commitment because of what it comes with. Before reconnecting with you, I had so many options but I just didn't feel that it was a pressing issue.
If I were married to you, I'd definitely wait. With the life I have to live, I understand your worry.
See you soon,
Jean
Jean finally came around to cleaning his apartment. It wasn't much of a battle and it did feel pretty nice. However, it just felt out of place - he traveled so much, that he never had groceries. And because he and Sebas went back and forth so much about the rooming arrangements he never had the time. To Jean, it just didn’t feel homey enough.
The time to pick the couple up finally came. The sky was a richer blue as afternoon approached. Jean was picked up by a driver sent by Historia and was on his way to the ports. The ride was silent; Jean filled the quietness with thoughts of you. He thought about your hair, how your skin glowed, your body against his for that split second the previous summer. The way your eyes fought to close and how your mouth hung open as he rammed against you. The way your hands gripped his back before you both jumped away like positive magnets.
Jean looks down and sees the slight tent in his pants. He places his hands on top of it and looks out into the street, in hopes of hiding his excitement. However, you're still on his mind; he can see himself walking down the streets with you, taking you to a boutique or a restaurant...maybe even walking you down to a courthouse to sign a marriage certificate or taking your baby for a walk.
He scrunches his eyes closed, hoping to find something new to think about.
When you first saw Jean waiting at the port for you, you felt like your heart had wings. Suddenly your marriage wasn't a problem and you were right at home with Jean, your love. It may not have been true or traditional, but you loved him.
You were grateful for Sebas wobbling down the boat ramp with your luggage because had he not been in front of you, you'd run straight into Jean's arms.
Jean meets you both halfway. Sebas puts the luggage down and shakes hands with Jean. "I hope your journey was comfortable, Mr. Abe," Jean says, courtly. "It was. Paradis really is ahead of the world," Sebas says with a slight chuckle. Jean hums before stepping to the side to greet you. He takes your right hand and brings it up to his lips. His eyes remain on you, longing for your affection. He lowers your hand, still staring you down. "Mrs. Abe..." he drawls. "Ambassador Kirstein," the sound of your voice carried a slightly flirtatious tune.
Jean lets go of your hand immediately, trying not to get carried away. "First, I'll take you guys to visit Historia and a few of the other Alliance members and if we have time, I'd love if you met Mikasa," he looks over at you once more, "Well, I'd like if you met Mikasa."
"Well, why don't we pass by the palace and you can take Y/N tomorrow? I'd like us to settle down first," Sebas responds. Jean nods in understanding. He takes one of the bags and gestures over to the motor carriage.
As the three of you walk through the crowd on the port, you start to notice how some people's demeanors change as Jean passes by - dirty looks, shuffling away, disappointed head shakes. "Traitor!" A middle-aged man steps in front of him, causing the three of you to pause. Jean is slightly shaken but he brushes it off and walks around him. "You stupid Alliance folk! Always working with the enemy! Eren Yeager wouldn't have wanted this! Screw you!" he continues to yell. This brings more attention to you guys and Jean looks down, seemingly embarrassed. "I'm sorry," he mutters. You're unsure if his apology is for you and your husband or the heckler.
Sebas and Jean place your luggage in the back of the motor carriage. You're all seated and Jean quietly tells the driver directions. He turns back, looking at you first and then at Sebas. "I'll drop you off at the palace first and then I'll leave to get your luggage dropped off and maybe some groceries. Whenever you're ready, you can ask the driver to drop you off at my mother's place for dinner."
"You're not coming with us? To meet Queen Historia?" You ask. You were hoping for a moment with him. Jean looks down, guilty because of the quick change of plans. "You'll be fine, Historia carries herself well. You don't need me to introduce you to her." He turns back around.
You stare at the back of his head, wondering if the heckler ruined his confidence and if something similar was ahead at the palace.
Historia was a joy. When you thought of the title 'Queen', you thought of someone who always has their head high up and was just stiff like how the leaders in Marley were but Historia was funny and insightful. Her daughter was the absolute cutest and she did have you thinking about kids but the idea of kids made you think about Sebas and your failing marriage.
You were also met with familiar faces such as Connie and Armin. They were very excited to you and Sebas again. You were met with questions about Jean's lack of appearance that you didn't know how to answer. They laid off but showed slight concern and annoyance at their friend bailing out last minute.
Then came the Marleyian branch of the Alliance: Reiner, Annie, and Pieck. You had heard briefly about them and their stories from Jean. They all gave you a quick handshake before properly introducing themselves to Sebas, who they were truly here for. After introductions, they all start to walk off for their meeting. Sebas stays behind for a moment and grips your arm. "Obviously, you have no importance here. It's probably better if you head off now."
You give him a confused look and he rolls his eyes in response. "Jean did say you could ask the driver to take you to his mother's house. Were you not listening?" Sebas asks annoyed. You say nothing back, even though you really want to cuss him out. He looks at you for a moment and then sighs. He begins to walk away to catch up with others but then looks back at you once more. "Just remember to ask the driver to come back here."
You begin to wonder if he stopped loving you too - not that you valued his opinion. You worried more about the direction that all of this was going.
You were appreciative of the quiet ride to Trost. Paradis was beautiful - the sea air felt calming and you loved seeing the locals go about their day. It was as if the Rumbling never happened. Everything here reminded you of home in the saddest way. But being here, riding in this motor carriage, was better than being anywhere with Sebas.
The motor carriage came to a stop at Jean's mother's home. You thank the driver and get out of the carriage. You walk up to the door and knock and wait a few minutes. You hear footsteps approaching from the house and you're met face to face with Jean.
"You look so much better," you say. Your smile grows at the sight of him. He ushers you inside and closes the door. Before he says anything, he pulls you in for a kiss. His hands lightly resting in your hair and his hand applying pressure to your upper back. Jean pulls away and begins to kiss your neck. He pulls away for some air.
"I missed you," he breathes before moving to your jaw.
"Jean." You place your hands on his shoulders, pushing him off as lightly as possible. You hold his shoulders looking him in the eye. "I missed you too...what about your mother? Is she not home?" There's a cheeky look in his eye as he proceeds to shake his head no.
"Want me to show you to your room?" Playfulness danced within his voice. You nod, expecting him to lead you in that direction. Instead, he cups one arm under your leg, causing you to squeal. You immediately catch Jean's drift and let him pick you up. Your hands cup his face and you initiate the kissing again. Oh, how you missed this...him. "Please...make me feel good," you pant.
Jean carries you upstairs to the guest room. He struggles with opening the door between making out with you and making sure the both of you don't topple over. After fiddling with the handle, the door finally opens and within a snap of a finger, you’re sprawled onto the bed. You begin to sit up and Jean walks back over to the door to close it. Once he's on his way back to you, he's unbuttoning his shirt. "Wanna help me out?"
You bite your lip in response. You go for his pants, eagerly. There was no care for theatrics - you and Sebas were over with, it had been months, almost a year since you were truly satisfied. You tug his pants; at the sight of his boxers, you pull both down, revealing his hardening length. You wrap your fingers around him and fondle it. Jean places a hand on your shoulder and closes his eyes. After a few moments, his head rolls back and you take this as an opportunity to lick his tip. He exhales your name as you take what you can in your mouth and your tongue begins to swirl. Your patterns change and once again, your hand assists. He begins to jerk, slightly groaning and you remove him from your mouth; you fondle him until he releases on your lips and nose. Jean lets out a sigh of relief as you lick your lips.
"You turn," he manages to get out. He sits at the edge of the bed. "Leg up." You bring your legs up to your chest, lifting your dress as you go. Your arousal is visible. His fingers pull your underwear down to your ankles and you open your legs a little wider. They then move to your bud. He moves it in a circular direction with one singular finger. "Jean," you say through clenched teeth. He chuckles as he transitions to using his fingers to rub it from side to side. You whine and arch your back. Jean continues with this until he decides to slip two fingers into you. You grab onto the arm doing all the work and lean into him. As he moved his digits in and out of you, you mewl his name. He continues and even adds another finger for extra measure, causing you to almost choke on your cries.
You feel everything tightening up. You pleaded into his shoulder, begging for more, begging for a release.
"Jeanbo!"
You both pull away. You're out of breath but panicked. "We never seem to have the best luck, do we?" Jean mutters. "In the guest room! Just talking to our guest!" He gets up and starts looking for the other half of his clothes. You pull your underwear up and get up to look at your image in the vanity. You notice the seed on your nose drying up and curse under your breath. "What?" Jean asks. He's finally got his pants together. "It's drying up," you respond. You lick your thumb and rub the bridge of your nose, watching the material fade away.
Jean smacks your ass, causing you to turn around. "What are you doing?" You look at his still unbuttoned shirt. You sigh in disappointment and begin to button it up. He watches you in amusement. "I can't help but think about you possibly being my wife and buttoning up my shirts and helping me with my ties."
"Well, stay in the present, I'm helping you before your mom walks in on you and me," you say with a slight annoyance in your voice. The footsteps approach the room and the door knob rattles. The door opens revealing a smaller, older woman. There's an immediate smile on her face. "Nice to finally meet you. So sorry that I'm late, I went out to get groceries to make dinner." She walks towards you with a hand extended. You shake it and smile. "I'm Y/N. What are we having for dinner?"
"Well, I wanted to make a bigger meal but it sounds like your husband isn't staying," Jean's mother explained. Jean gives you a confused look, which you return. "Oh, silly me, you can call me June."
"Mom, is Sebas here?" Jean cuts in. She nods. "Outside in the motor carriage. I'm assuming that Historia probably served him something."
Jean purses his lips. "I should be off then. Y/N, I'll be back for you tomorrow to take you to Mikasa and out to eat. Since we're doing separate dinners all of a sudden." He kisses his mom on the cheek and waves goodbye to you as he walks off to deal with Sebas.
The next morning, Sebas was off to another meeting with Historia and the other Alliance members. Jean had waited for him to get ready and take his exit so he could ready himself. He was excited for his day with you - he'd take you to meet Mikasa, who you knew would hit it off with her, dinner later, and definitely some time to yourselves in the end.
As he expected, the motor carriage was gone. The palace was more than a walking distance but Jean couldn't help but feel frustrated by Sebas's need to get away - he did have the option to stay with Historia.
Jean grabs his grey fedora that matches his suit set and leaves his apartment. His mother's home isn't much of a walk from where he lived. The walks to her house often left him pensive about where his life was going. Was it ok that he was the other half of an affair? Should he give up his ambassadorship to be a Yeagerist? What was the point of all of this? Instead, this morning was filled with thoughts of you and making your time here the best before you were back home with Sebas. Thinking about you made time move faster - he was already here, right in front of his mother's house. He pulled his keys for the home out of his pockets and unlocked the door.
He was immediately met with the familiar eggy smell mixed with ham and onions. Jean locks the door behind him walks straight into the kitchen and sees his mother finishing up three omelets. At the sight of him, June pauses for a moment to take him into her arms. "Mommy." Jean placed his head on top of hers; being his height and her being so small made their embraces so awkward but he enjoyed every minute of it. He was so lucky to still have her in his life. "Jeanie," she pulls away, "Your friend is still getting ready. Can you set the table so we can all sit together?" Jean takes two of the plates into the dining area. He sets them down on the table and notices the utensils clumped together. Jean takes this as an opportunity to place those by the plates.
"He's handsome, kind, and helps his mother set up the table with no argument? How are you still a bachelor?"
Jean looks up and sees you. Your hair is styled to the side, showing more of your beaming face. You have on a pink dress, with flower jewelry, and a pink hat that compliments the look.
He chuckles at your commentary. "Well, that's because, one, I have my eye on the prettiest girl in Anahg, who, erm, happens to be married. And two, nobody wants to marry the traitor." He slowly walks towards you. Once you're close enough, he places an arm on your waist and pulls you closer to him. "Well, any lady would be ridiculous enough to hold that against you. You're so handsome, I'd forget about any crime you've committed," you tease. "That's why I like you," he says before going in for a peck. What began as something small quickly became something passionate and intense. His hands reached lower and your hands reached under his shirt.
"What in Ymir's name..."
Jean pushes you off of him at the sound of his mother's voice. She's standing in the doorframe, bewildered at the scene. June storms up to her son and pulls him down by his ear, causing him to yelp. "I didn't raise you to act like a dirty buffoon. Acting just like your father!" She continues to tug until she feels like Jean has learned his lesson. Then she looks at you. "I thought you were a lady. You're married to a good man and you go behind his back to act like that with someone else? No, there can't be an explanation for this behavior."
You feel like something is stuck in your throat and tears well up in your eyes. You wish you could explain to her that you weren't in love with Sebas and how your marriage was already falling apart. But you feel that June's trust in you and her initial thoughts have already faded away...and based on the way she chastised Jean, this was probably personal to her.
"I...I met Y/N in Marley before the Rumbling," Jean starts. "We fell in love there and then we were quickly separated. After much searching, I finally found her but she was married."
"And this helps your case how?" His mother was more disappointed than convinced.
"I married Sebas out of convenience. I had just gotten back to Anahg after being trapped in Marley. I missed home and I missed my life, so I took the opportunity once it landed in my hands. And I thought I loved him in the beginning but things weren't what they seemed. Long story short, Sebas and I are quickly falling out. That's why he's been so cold," you explain.
June's demeanor doesn't change. "I still don't see what that has to do with anything. Having an affair doesn't fix anything." You look down at your feet. She was right; what reaction were you expecting with that explanation anyway?
"I will be the first to tell you that this won't end well. Cut it out," she finishes.
Breakfast did not sound appealing anymore.
The ride to Mikasa's cottage was awkward. You didn't like that you just got your ass chewed out by June. You were excited to get to know her more. Your first night at her home was full of laughter and you could really see Jean in her. Now, she saw you as a troublemaker.
Jean sat as far away from you, his entire body leaning on the door. You could only see the side of his head as he stared at the outside scenery. His mind was clearly somewhere else; he had yet to tell you about his mother's comment about his father.
The motor carriage came to a stop and Jean gave the driver his payment. "Let's go," he tells you. He gets out but you remain in the motor carriage. When he notices that you're still inside, he whips his head around. "Y/N, let's go."
You look at him for a moment. "Mr. Kirstein, I'm a lady. It'd be appropriate if you opened the door for me and helped me out." Jean looks at you blankly before busting out into laughter. He walks over to your side of the motor carriage, still amused by your statement. He rests his arms on the door and looks down at you. "You? A lady?" Then he lowers his voice and cups your jaw. "What type of lady, who is married, has an affair and isn't afraid to hide it? If anything, Mrs. Abe, you're far from it. You're dirty and unfaithful. Calling me 'Mr. Kirstein' and you calling yourself a lady doesn't change anything."
Your breath hitches at his words. You don't even know if he meant it but you were definitely turned on by his dominance. "Get out," he commands again, and this time you do.
The silence starts once more as Jean leads you up a hill. His hands are in his pockets and you don't know what to do with yours. Do you grab onto him? Would it make him upset? Would he go all rogue on you again? Despite the moment you had minutes ago, you could still sense his distance.
"This is where Eren's buried." Jean comes to a stop at a nameless headstone with wilting flowers seated in front of it. "She must have not visited recently."
"Jean, I'm sorry, but I don't want to look at his...grave." You mutter. He looks down at you, wanting you to repeat what you said but considering your tone, he realizes quickly that you aren't interested in this. "Sorry...That was insensitive. Mikasa's cottage is up this way." He continues to walk but you stall for a moment.
Resentment grew as your eyes laid on Eren's headstone. You couldn't center your thoughts but all you could think was "what if...? what if...? what if...?". But what could you even "what if?" about? Had he not even thought about avenging his home, would you have ever met Jean? Was that what even mattered? Your family would still be by your side; you could go home without wondering if one day they might show up on your doorstep.
You catch up with Jean, waving your hand over your eyes to dry your eyes. Your arm brushes up against his and your fingers dance until they interlock.
"Have we ever held hands like this?" Jean comes to a pause and looks down at you. You don't answer but lean against him. He felt cozy. You would do anything to be loved like this. To be held at the end of a long day was a privilege. You wanted the world to stop for just the two of you. No Eren, no Sebas, no bullshit.
———
Mikasa seemed like the only person on this island who moved on her own accord. She didn't seem worried about courting or the latest or appropriate style. She was unmarried, young, and lived alone. You envied her.
You and Jean sat on her couch as she placed a freshly brewed pot of tea on the coffee table. The fact that she wasn't a housewife or anyone's wife was beyond you; she was delicate and cozy.
"It's nice to finally meet you. I've heard bits and pieces about Anahg," she starts. Mikasa sits down across from you and Jean, gracefully. "It's nice to meet you too. Jean was eager for me to come over," you reply.
"How are you enjoying your stay in Paradis? How long are you staying here?"
"Well, the first day has been pretty neat. I’ll be here the entire summer," you look over at Jean. Aside from Sebas's coldness, being chastised by Jean's mom, and coming across that murderer's grave, you found Paradis beautiful. It had been a long time since you got to sit and just enjoy the normalcy of everything. You longed to go into a shop or just sit in a park. The people here could just get up and visit their family if they wanted to. "This is actually the first part of my tour," you admit, "Jean's taking me out to dinner after but I like watching people go about their day here."
Mikasa nods, understanding. "How is your husband? I heard he's working with Historia. I haven't met him yet but I doubt he's coming to the nursery."
You look at Jean, panicked, and he's looking back at you with a milder version of your expression.
"Oh...sorry if I'm asking too much. I just met you. That was really inappropriate," Mikasa answers sheepishly.
"No, no, it's fine. He's-"
"He's just fine, Mikasa. He's really excited to get to know the Alliance. He actually used to be an ambassador for Anahg before..." Jean's voice trails off. For a moment, everyone is silent; you fiddle with your fingers, Jean looks off to the side, and Mikasa looks down at her tea.
"You say you work at a nursery?" You ask, breaking the silence. Mikasa looks up and nods. "That must be really nice. Something that isn't all paperwork or protecting your image."
"The kids are really sweet and if anything, they're the closest thing to family to me. Well, other than the...Alliance." The word 'Alliance' is foreign to Mikasa's mouth. You had yet to learn all about her; why that man's grave was so near her home, why she seemed so distant from the Alliance, and so on.
But when you put the questions aside, you could see yourself being her friend, ally, or someone you could learn from. She seemed like such a positive presence - the opposite of the older women in Anahg.
"Do you like kids? Would you like to come by and work with me before you go home?" Mikasa offers. Your face lights up slightly.
"I'll take you up on that offer."
———
Once the sun began to set, Jean took you down to Shiganshina for dinner.
"The streets are a little packed, don't you think? If we go eat at a restaurant, won't they turn you away?" you ask. If he could be heckled at the port, imagine what else could happen at a restaurant in a busy city.
"We'll see what happens. I haven't been to a restaurant here in a while. I eat the most on my trips, sometimes with Mikasa, or my mother will bring me something," Jean explains. "I still want to take you out to eat. I don't know if my mother is still up to make you a proper dinner after tonight and I also don't have much at the apartment."
You hum in response, not entirely comfortable with his answer. He sensed this and brushed the back of your fingers and they interlock."I will make sure this is the best night ever, hecklers or not. I won't let our night get ruined," he reassured you.
"Not to change the mood but do you mind telling me why your mother so...this morning?" You look up at Jean and then down at your feet panicked. "I mean, I mean...infidelity is wrong, yes, but..."
Jean gestures to a bench and you both walk to it. As he sits, he sighs. His eyes flitter around for a moment, looking for the best way to explain. "My father..." he chuckles before continuing. "He found someone else. It was before Marley launched their first attack on Paradis for the Founder. He was a successful man - worked with The Sheena Star and was close with all the nobles and government officials. Writing stories about their lavish lives and what they planned to do next for Paradis. I guess someone over there gave him the attention he wanted and he just packed up and left.
Wall Maria fell and years later, I made an effort to become a part of the Military Police. Maybe I'd get closer to him and understand what happened." He pauses for a moment. You place a hand on his knee, hoping he'd place his own hand over yours but he doesn't. "I guess we weren't meant to cross paths. I joined the Survey Corps, fought for Paradis, and the whole thing with Marley spiraled out. Not once did he ever reach out or acknowledge me. I am one of the most notorious people on this island and he hasn't thought once to reach out or even insult me. And sometimes that hurts." He shifts uncomfortably. "That's why my mother was on me today. I won't admit it verbally to her but she knows. She knows."
The both of you sit in silence. On your end, you were trying to come up with answers about what this meant. You watched as his body language changed and it made you wonder if he was changing his mind on the two of you or questioning his own morals.
"Alright...let's get you some food, yeah?" He stands up and offers you his hand. His eyes don't match his offer.
———
You tried your best to enjoy dinner with Jean. There were eyes on the both of you but the anxiety of other people's thoughts faded away as Jean's story kept replaying in your head.
'Were you in the wrong?' kept playing over and over and over. You seriously didn't love Sebas; if anything your marriage was of convenience. You were mentally in the wrong place but found him at the right time. There was no way you could spend more time in Marley; the opportunity to go back home was there and you took it. And you really tried - the first few months of marriage with Sebas were perfect. With his status and ambition, you were kept busy and happy. But all that went to shit before Jean came to visit you and with the arguments and pettiness about a child that hasn't even been conceived yet, things were expected to take a plunge.
You met Jean first and began to love him during your time in Marley. You found him again and that spark was still there. Will you still face scrutiny if you just divorced Sebas? What do you gain...or lose? To Paradians, Jean and the Alliance are enemies of the state. By association, could you handle the heckling and the looks?
"Hey, hey. Is Y/N home?" You're awakened from your thoughts by Jean poking your arm. You jump, startled by the fact that you through an entire rabbit hole without being mindful of your surroundings. He had taken you back to his apartment to just relax. Your first day on Paradis was...something.
"Sorry, I was...I was just thinking," you mutter. You slowly sit up on his couch. Now that you were out of your head, you chose to look down and play with your fingers. Jean smiles apologetically and sits beside you. "Do you want some tea? It'd help you relax," he offers in a sing-song voice. He places a hand on your knee and leans closer to you. You chuckle at his behavior. This is what you wanted - a husband who cared about your well-being.
"No, I'm alright. I'm stuffed from the restaurant," you start. He begins to pull away. "But I could use a kiss if it's fine with you?" Jean looks at your face with a small smile. "Of course it is." He cups your face and pecks your lips.
"That won't do. I'll need something a little stronger to make this day feel a little better." You pull him in for another and this time it's more passionate. Jean's hands find your waist and dance all over your lower back. He pulls away once more and you whine. "No, no, no." He places one finger on your lips. "I'm not done with you."
Jean stands up and takes your hand. He leads you to what's supposed to be his bedroom. "I don't think he'll be back for a while...so we'll finally get some uninterrupted time." You chuckle at his joke. You both never really got time to yourselves. Despite the guilt you felt, you wanted to take advantage of your current situation. "Take me, Jean. I'm yours."
Jean kisses you from your jaw all the down to your clavicle. His hands explore your lower back and hips. They find their way back to your torso and pull the strings holding up your dress, causing it to drop and sit on your petticoat. Jean goes ahead and moves that down too before having you lay on his bed. He gets on his knees, pulls your underwear aside, and starts lapping at your core. You writhe against him, mewling for more.
Once you've had enough, you push his head away and sit up. "I need you in me now," you cry. Jean looks up at you worried. "You feel ready? I don't want to hurt you." You nod, your eyes pleading for him. Jean stands up and twirls his finger. "Flip over for me." You do so, looking back at him just to make sure he does what you ask.
And he does. Jean is pressed up against your back; he rubs himself against your core before entering.
On your first day, you were already feeling wishful; you had the whole summer to sneak around and have fun but you wished this could last a lifetime. You wish you could be Mrs. Kirstein and be by Jean’s side as he negotiates with the world. You could intimate with him anywhere and anytime you wanted - in his apartment, a boat, anywhere in this broken world.
Your wishes are interrupted by your immediate release. Jean rolls off of you and lays on his back. He observes you as you slowly collect yourself. You turn on your side and scoot closer to him. Your hand finds his chest and your nose and lips kiss his shoulder. “I wish I waited for you,” you say quietly.
Just as he opened his lips to respond, the door flies open, and in the doorframe is Sebas, red in the face. The sight of him caused you two to freeze, unable to scramble to coverup or find an excuse.
“I don’t even know where to start.” Sebas walks up to your side of the bed and lifts you by your arm. “I knew there was something wrong with you…you Jezebel,” he sneers, “I’d rather you play the game and give me what I want, then maybe, just maybe, you’d get whatever you’re looking for. Put your clothes on and get out of my sight.” He lets go of your arm and you look up at him, eyes watering. “Now!” You quickly get off the bed and search for your clothes on the floor before taking your leave. Once you’re under the doorframe, you can’t help but give Jean an apologetic look.
“So…you started helping my country to screw my wife?” Sebas questions. Jean looks down, not sure of how to answer his question. “You know what, don’t answer that. I’ll get her to open up.” He paces around. “It’s all starting to make sense.” Sebas lets out a chuckle as he begins to piece everything together. “In exchange for ruining my marriage, Anahg will no longer be involved with the Alliance…and I will ruin you, Jean Kirstein. I will let the world know that you’re a full-blown traitor.”
———
Dear Jean,
Your hearing is still this upcoming fall.
I don’t think the case of love or any form of mistreatment against Mrs. Abe will help your case, I’m sorry. Mr. Abe was a powerful man before the Rumbling and after the Rumbling. Even though I am your friend, I can’t even defend your affair in front of Historia’s panel. You and Mrs. Abe’s actions have cost us a partnership with a country that’s establishing itself faster than the ones dissolved by the Rumbling. It also makes us look bad and we’ll definitely need to find a procedure that assures our future partnerships that they won’t lose a spouse for the sake of their country.
Please find something to do as a job and quickly. Better boost your image now before the verdict is decided and made public.
Again, I’m sorry,
Armin Arlert

On another post a few comments, mine included, had a little chat about what Mashita's thought proccess could have been, during the Confession in the second game.
So I decided to write a little One Shot about it!
This includes Spoilers for Case 7 in Death Mark 2, as well as the DLC of Death Mark 1.
THIS?
"I'm not gonna be surprised by anything that comes out of his damn mouth."
Well.
Fuck.
He was really eating those words now, huh.
He could only stare with eyes ripped open as Yashiki explained, his words as trembling as his hands, his eyes avoiding everyone else.
In fear of judgement?
Probably.
Shame?
Definitely.
This was wrong.
This was wrong on every level.
He was never one to stick to rules but this?
MURDER???
Mashita couldn't even speak at first as Yashiki just continued explaining. No, there had to be something else, every second now he would mention that they did find that girl again alive, there had to be more, there had to be.
This was wrong.
But there wasn't.
There wasn't and he looked as guilty as ever. Having just confessed.
To murder.
"You must be kidding me."
Words uttered in pure disbelief.
This wasn’t happening.
There is no way.
"To think you'd kill someone..."
Actually, he didn't want to think about that. Not a single bit.
Yes, everyone had the potential to murder, he knew that better than most, but this was Yashiki. Compassionate to a stupid, suicidal degree Yashiki.
"Don't blame him for that! He was controlled by the Departed!"
Oh great, the brat was talking. Mashita glared at her out of reflex alone.
Why the fuck was she so defensive anyways? Nobody would react like that after their best friend just got killed, what kind of weirdo was this girl??
"Insanity or not, murder is still murder", he snapped back, before his eyes stared back at Yashiki.
He felt more like he was the one going insane, his mind completely elsewhere as old training just kicked in.
It was the only thing that made sense right now.
"Article 199, a person who kills another person is punished by the death penalty or life imprisonment or for a definite term of no less than five years."
He felt sick of even thinking of this as an option. He rattled down those words out of pure habit, as he had many times before, in the Academy back in the day and his job later.
"I'd slap the cuffs on you myself if I had them with me."
He should, but he wouldn't. Why was he saying that, he wouldn't, because Yashiki would never kill anyone.
God fucking damnit.
His heart was racing as fast as his mind, his entire body tense, ready to spring at the threat and yet violently rejecting the very notion that there was a threat to begin with.
Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong, wrong, fuck!
But Yashiki?
Everyone else, maybe.
He'd believe Shou, not planned but in affect, too impulsive. Ai too, stronger than she looked, against a stalking fan maybe. Daimon? Doctor, there was always a chance of malpractice. Yasuoka? That old hag definitely had a skeleton in her closet somewhere, if only because she dug it up once because the bones had some weird powers.
The man who watched the only friends he had get attacked?
The man who watched his friends get controlled to attack him?
The man who watched half his friends get cursed into a coma and nearly die.
The man who was nearly killed himself by the same goddamn spirit.
The same man who after ALL THAT, still trembling in shock and trauma, barely aware of his own body, STILL refused to think about himself, just for fucking ONCE.
The same man who looked at a dead spider, the remains of that goddamn spirit and still decided to show compassion to it before ANYTHING else-!
...
Oh.
Of course.
And his body instantly relaxed, as did his mind.
It didn't make any sense, possession or not. He would never do it. So he didn't.
"...Let me just say one thing."
It wasn't like him to get distracted. He had nearly forgotten what case they were even working on.
"The law only applies if the victim is human."

So a post by @zevsurana reminded me of my anger toward Bioware for not giving you the option to marry Dorian at the beginning of Trespasser, or at any point during Trespasser. Like.. Dorian and the Inquisitor is one of the best romances in that godforsaken game and the only marriage options are Sera and Cullen. Even just a quick little proposal from the Inquisitor when he thinks he is dying and Dorian accepting while crying and thinking his love is going to die. Just some sort of promise of the continuation of their relationship.
Dorian has never loved/been loved before so he doesn’t think that marriage is in the cards for him and the Inquisitor proves to him that he is worthy of love and that he can do anything he sets his mind to. Instead, they have him leave the love of his life to go back to Tevinter without him because he “needs to do it on his own”. I just can’t get over this fact at all.
When the mark is killing the Inquisitor, Dorian has some of the most heart-wrenching dialogue that proves he cares SOOOO much, but no, can’t marry the man. Even though he deserves it.
Dorian: *clearly holding back tears* Why didn’t you say anything? I could have done.... something.
Inquisitor: I wouldn’t trade the years we’ve spent together for anything. I love you, Dorian.
Dorian: *stifling crying* I knew you would break my heart, you bloody bastard.
They even hint at the fact that they could have/should have been married in Trespasser with a romanced Dorian stating:
Dorian: Cold stone, dark tunnels, and surrounded by extremely hostile Qunari.
Dorian: Not the place I'd have chosen for a romantic homecoming.
Inquisitor: Wandering into peril is practically how we met.
Dorian: Oh, yes. Practically a second honeymoon.
Like this is so not fair and shows Bioware’s opinion that mages are not allowed to be happy and that love is only a game for them. There is literally no other reason for you not to be able to marry him. If it was because he would appear in later games, this makes no sense because you can marry Alistair and he shows up without the Warden giving an excuse as to where they are at all times. So, Bioware, explain.

Welcome to your life - Pt 1:
Everybody Wants To Rule THEIR World - Ch 2:
Summary:
"You need only close your eyes to it and be happy and safe with us."
The Keeper (player) has already secured the repository and Sebastian's loyalty, emboldening his descent into darkness. Now, they just need to win over Ominis, cure Anne, and create a domain to call their own.
And not necessarily in that order.
The Keeper's tale, a post-game story of a morally-grey, pragmatic, Chaotic Neutral, non-binary, muggleborn, orphan player character, so burned by 1800s orphanages, that they became a power hoarder who demands more payment for quests, burns paintings but doesn't want to rule the world, just their own territory and the two boys who'd caught their eye.
Warnings: Sebastian x MC x Ominis! Spoilers! Dark content! Slow-burn canon-compilant corruption! Fucked up 1800s orphanages! MC has no love for Anne or Solomon! Dubious happy ending (it's happy for MC, Seb and Ominis at least)
You can also read on AO3! (chapter specific warnings below)
Notes:
Warnings: Mentions of murder, mentions of past sexual assault.
I understand why the developers would only give the player options that say Sebastian did something wrong by killing his uncle. Naturally they're not going to endorse murder of one's guardian in their game no matter what.
However, no matter how you look at it, a main character who chooses to absorb the repository wouldn't be someone who would talk about Sebastian having a chance to change his path or move on. They would see no problem with Sebastian's pursuit of power and dark arts and changing his fate or specifically Anne's fate. So, I've tweaked the dialogue accordingly.
Also, fyi, Bobby is a British slang word for police.
The Keeper stepped into the Undercroft, glancing over towards the back to confirm that the Repository was still intact and safely hovering at the back of the large hall.
They scanned the chamber for Sebastian, spotting his familiar figure standing by a stack of crates. The Keeper strode towards him without hesitation, unsurprised to see that he was observing the Repository warily.
"Sebastian, I received your owl." The Keeper spoke as they approached, they'd never been one for pleasantries and they appreciated that Sebastian never seemed to mind.
"I'm guessing that you're to thank for the latest addition to the Undercroft's decor?" He asked, turning to face them, his eyes curious and a brow raised.
"I am, and I shall explain that later. First, what happened?" They placed their hands together and waited.
"Right…" Sebastian's expression immediately fell, and the Keeper noted their own displeasure at the sadness on his face. "Ominis spoke with Anne about what happened with my uncle Solomon. She believes I should pay for what I did, but she won't turn me in. She said the guilt I'll have to live with is punishment enough."
The Keeper frowned. Sebastian should pay for what he did? Punishment? What on earth was Anne thinking? Sebastian killed Solomon for her. His own flesh and blood, and now she was upset at him?
It wasn’t as though Anne hadn't seen how the man treated Sebastian, did she simply love her uncle more than her twin? Perhaps she had spent too long with Solomon as her only caregiver and had become poisoned against her brother.
The Keeper could understand if Anne was squeamish, not everyone was cut out for gore and violence, but ingratitude?
It looked like they would have to revise their opinion of her. Pity, they'd thought rather highly of Anne when she'd spoken of releasing Sebastian from his burden of curing her. Not that she'd actually done anything to prove that she had ever truly intended to do so.
"Surely she understands that you acted in self-defence? That man fired confringos at us!" The Keeper replied, not bothering to keep the incredulity from their voice.
Sebastian shook his head miserably. "I guess not… perhaps she feels I should have used another spell…"
"Rubbish. Only a fool would allow someone who attacked them the chance to finish the job. Anyone who raises their wand against another should be ready to die." The Keeper grimaced, how pampered that girl must be to not understand murder in self-defence.
Solomon had basically pointed a gun at them and even fired a few rounds into their limbs. Were they to simply wait for a fatal shot? The Keeper had seen enough beggars come to blows for their dinner to know that pitiful seeming people were rarely harmless, and Solomon was a retired auror, a soldier!
If he was trying to disarm them or restrain them, he should have done so with ease, instead he used damaging spells against them and injured them, enough to require multiple wiggenweld potions!
Unheeding of their pleas for him to stop attacking two fifteen year old children, one of whom was his own nephew! Did family and blood truly count for so little to that unreasonable man?
At least Ominis had the excuse of not having witnessed the ferocity with which Solomon had attacked them. He'd even said "poor Sebastian" as Sebastian left the Undercroft that day. Proving that, while he did not approve of Sebastian's actions, Ominis clearly understood that Sebastian was not fully to blame.
They did agree with Ominis that Sebastian shouldn't delve further into dark arts. At least for now, while they were in school, and he definitely shouldn't be killing in front of naive and sheltered people, like Anne apparently was.
It was easy to say what one should or shouldn't do, until you were the one facing the possibility of death, at the hand of a beloved family member no less.
While the Keeper didn't entirely agree with Ominis' sense of moral justice, they also understood that he was responding irrationally strongly towards Dark Magic due to his childhood trauma. Oh how they wished to relieve him of those irrational fears, but such thoughts were best left for another time.
The Keeper shook their head. "Perhaps she has spent too long in the company of an ex-auror. If they're anything like a muggle bobby, then he's full of self-righteous pipe dream moral standards. Perhaps she mistakenly believes he wasn’t actually trying to kill us."
"Perhaps… either way, I think I've lost my sister, my twin, forever." Sebastian pressed a hand to his forehead, his jaw tight and his shoulders trembling. "She refuses to even see me."
"Oh Sebastian… I'm afraid Anne may never be able to forgive you." They murmured, tempted to draw him into an embrace but refraining for the moment. "But at least she's still alive. For now, at least."
Sebastian looked up in alarm at their wording, anxiety sparking in his eyes.
The Keeper felt for him, it must be so hard to be so badly misunderstood by the person he was so devoted to. Truly Anne didn't deserve him, but Sebastian needed her, so the Keeper would do what they could for her too.
Whether she liked it or not.
"Did Ominis say who would be taking care of her now?" The Keeper asked thoughtfully.
Sebastian shook his head. "Ominis brought me a note from her, she said she's leaving Feldcroft but she didn't say where she was going. We don't have any relatives left so I can't be sure if anyone will be caring for her at all."
They frowned. "That's concerning, in her condition she wouldn't be able to defend herself from robbers or… worse men. If she gets injured, who would get her to St Mungo's?"
Sebastian paled, his jaw tightening and his fists clenching, but said nothing. No doubt frustrated that Anne had rejected his protection at her own peril.
The Keeper glanced at the repository. They hadn't planned to make the offer so soon, but for Sebastian…
"Sebastian. You still wish to save and protect her, correct?" The Keeper asked, drawing his attention.
"I- yes. Even if she can't forgive me. Even if she can't bear the sight of me. I have to save her, she's my twin." Sebastian's eyes burned with resolve. How admirable.
The Keeper nodded, it would be worth it. For Sebastian.
Besides, while it would be nice to only focus on self-sustainability for a bit, they'd probably get bored eventually without a stimulating project. Curing her would surely be interesting, with the added benefit of further entwining their future with that of Sebastian's and Ominis'.
Not to mention, they were also curious to explore what they could do with their Ancient Magic.
"You recall the pain that Isidora extracted in the memory we viewed. Yes?" The Keeper asked instead.
Sebastian blinked at the seemingly sudden change in topic but folded his arms thoughtfully with a nod. "I'm assuming that orb over there contains the pain she collected. An awful lot more of it than I expected, to be honest."
Such a clever boy, the Keeper thought to themselves, pleased that he was catching on quick.
They nodded. "As I said in my letter, Isidora's method is flawed, resulting in a person losing all their emotions, not just pain."
Sebastian nodded. "Which makes her method unsuitable for curing Anne. Thus, I resorted to using the relic, without much success."
"You really shouldn't have done that on your own, things might have gone differently if I had been with you." They couldn't help but shoot back, still mildly irritated that Sebastian had left them out.
Sebastian winced, looking appropriately chastised. "I didn't want to keep relying on you, you've already done so much for me-"
"Do you really think I'm keeping count? I thought we were partners working together for each other's ends." Okay. Perhaps they were more than mildly irritated.
"We are! I just-" Sebastian protested.
"Then why would you think I wouldn't want to see this through to the end, by your side!?" The Keeper couldn't stop their frustration from bleeding into their voice. "Ominis, I can understand but why leave me out!?"
"Because I didn't want to risk something going wrong and hurting either of you!" Sebastian burst out, startling them into silence.
"I thought-" Sebastian sighed, running a hand through his hair in agitation. "I thought Anne understood, I thought she felt like I did, that we needed to find a cure for her at any cost. So of course she had to be there, but I didn't want to endanger you or Ominis."
Sebastian's eyes met theirs and they were taken aback by the emotions swirling around in there. "I didn't want either of you to die if I failed. I realised it after you told me about the side-effects of using Ancient Magic to remove pain. Curing Anne is my duty, my burden, not yours."
The Keeper sighed, feeling the anger bleed out of them. "I suppose you didn't even realise that you hadn't managed to control all the Inferi."
Sebastian shook his head ruefully. "I thought I had. I was glad to see you at first. Thought I'd get to show you that I'd succeeded on my own. I should have known you would make it through a horde of Inferi without breaking a sweat."
"You can be so daft sometimes. We're in this together, you've helped me in carrying out my duty as a Keeper. Your burdens are mine too." They smiled, unable to hide their affection for this foolish boy.
Sebastian's cheeks flushed slightly, unsure if he was misinterpreting the weight of those words, and the Keeper shook their head, deciding to return to the subject at hand.
"Anyway, as I was saying, her method is flawed but I think I know why. During the other Keepers' memory of the event, I could see the rest of her father's emotions trickling out from the point where she'd extracted the pain."
The Keeper began pacing thoughtfully, pleased that Sebastian wasn't interrupting their tale this time. He was learning.
"Her method seemed to have worked, since her father thanked her, but I believe she was too focused on the pain to notice that she had left a gaping hole in his soul, allowing his emotions to gradually empty over time."
"Professor San Bakar killed her later with the killing curse during a confrontation between her and the Keepers, when they realised that she was using the technique on her students without permission. Isidora had been absorbing the pain like a drug, and her power was strong enough at that point, that I doubt the Keepers would have survived if he hadn't used the killing curse."
The Keeper paused here, watching Sebastian's eyes widen at the revelation that someone else had used the Killing Curse for good, to protect, like he had. They took a moment to place a supportive hand on his shoulder.
"I told you, you did the right thing. Who knows what would have happened if you hadn't killed Solomon." The Keeper whispered comfortingly as Sebastian took a shuddering breath.
He nodded after a moment, gratitude and assurance bringing some life back into his eyes.
The Keeper felt sympathy for him, their first kill, almost two years ago now, had shaken them up too. They'd stared at their hands, watching them tremble before looking over the balcony to where the sick paedophile had fallen.
It had taken them weeks to come to terms with what they had done, but eventually, when that awful man was replaced with a more humane workhouse manager, they understood that they'd done the right thing. Some people simply deserved death, for the good of the many.
Satisfied that Sebastian had overcome his momentary emotional lapse, they continued.
"Thus, I believe it might be possible to use Ancient Magic to cure Anne without her losing her emotions. We just need to find a way to close the hole that pain-removal creates."
Sebastian's jaw went slack, his eyes near glimmering with hope.
"It will take experimentation and time, however. Time Anne might not have if she's alone out there-"
"I'll find her." Sebastian cut them off, his eyes set with determination, blazing with his usual fire. "I'll search for her and we can cure her together. Nothing is too great a cost to save her life."
"Even if she resists?" The Keeper challenged, watching his expression carefully. "I would need to use human test subjects to experiment with my power upon."
Sebastian swallowed, his expression uncertain for only a moment, before hardening with resolve and he nodded. "She'll understand when we succeed in curing her, and she doesn't need to know about the test subjects."
The Keeper nodded in agreement, pleased with his response. "We'll need a place to work in secret, and I need a place to hide the Repository. With the power in it to supplement my own Ancient Magic, I shouldn't have much difficulty creating a fortress, with research and time. So, for now, we simply need to find a suitable place to create our home."
Sebastian's ears turned red at the last two words, his eyes scrutinising them curiously.
The Keeper ignored it, allowing him to come to whatever conclusion he liked. They wanted him, but they were patient. Though it certainly pleased them to see him react so adorably to their implications.
"Would you be alright with Ominis joining us? If he wants to, I mean." Sebastian asked hesitantly.
The Keeper smiled. "Of course, I plan to make our home large enough for all four of us to live comfortably after we graduate."
Sebastian grinned, his clear excitement over the idea was incredibly endearing. They hoped Ominis would be amenable to their offer, though they were rather sure he would eventually cave regardless, his loyalty to Sebastian was too strong.
Yes, the Keeper would create their own little slice of heaven for everything that was theirs.
Notes:
To be clear, the Keeper did not actually see the rapist they killed die. They pushed him off the balcony and were busy staring at their hands in shock as he fell off the side. They only saw the aftermath of him hitting the floor, thus they still couldn’t see thestrals until Fig's friend, Osric, died.
Also, I just wanna say that I don't hate Anne. I believe in hating actions/decisions not people, and she's kinda just the complete opposite of the Keeper with the way I'm writing them, and I don't like how many people seem to forget that she never put her foot down about "not wanting to be cured" with Sebastian.
I also think she overreacted to Solomon's death. Sebastian had already dropped his wand, the only purpose throwing him into the wall with a depulso served was hurting him. Plus, like the Keeper said, self-defence kills are easy to judge when you're not the one facing the business end of the barrel of a gun.
We often forget that the wand is more than an amazing tool, once it's pointed at you, the chance that the next spell out of it can kill you, makes it equivalent to a gun. If someone approaches you aggressively in a fight, do you really wait for the person to shoot before you shoot them? On the chance that they may not shoot you?
My partner was in the army and they were taught that you fire once as a warning and then the next shot is to the head, but the commander told him that realistically, the first shot is to the head, then a second shot for the report, so you can say you fired a warning shot, because you can't take the risk.
At least this is the Keeper's perspective xD

post game loboto how quickly do you think oleander or the others find him after he makes a break outta the motherlobe to find his supposed child (and subsequently do you think he has a kid for real or was he just fuckin with raz)
UM so...was thinking about this and I think it would be funny if it went like.
Raz has been through like an unthinkable amount of like. stuff. in the past week and he um, kind of forgot about Loboto leaving, at least for a little bit! (Considering the fact that he just lets him go and you can continue to play the postgame after that.) So I think that Raz absolutely just took him at his word and let him go and just forgot to notify anyone because he had a billion other things on his plate.
I think definitely within the day Sasha goes to return to his lab, sees. Nothing. And is just like "There are notably less dentists in this room than there should be" and starts to freak out and heads to the Nerve Center and tries to subtly explain the situation without drawing too much attention to himself so he doesn't seem neglectful. But Oleander hears and starts hollering about it immediately because of course he does! (He had plans to go and talk to him after the whole mole thing died down -- he didn't want to seem suspicious and was going through a lot when he got rejected by Hollis)
They review the security footage and see Loboto exiting through the secret tunnel system and .... Raz just letting him go? Sasha is just thinking like "Damn it, how many times do I have to have the 'I expect more from you when it comes to important things like this' talk with Raz this week?" (Forgetting that he only met him this week.) (Forgetting also that he's literally 10 years old.)
So they talk to Raz who is just sort of like "Oh...yeah...I meant to tell you. He said he's a reformed man and he seemed like he really meant it, so I let him go-- It felt wrong to try and keep him like a prisoner." And some of the adults get understandably frustrated because it could mean a dangerous man was on the loose but others (like Milla) believe Raz for trusting Loboto's word on the subject.
Speaking of Milla, I think that Milla would think about the fact that Loboto mentioned that he had a kid on the way out. I'm pretty sure that once the mental construct dissolved in his mind and the threat of his "Boss" was gone, a lot of Loboto's previous mental blocks would sort of start to break down and he would be able to think more clearly. (Thus, why he would suddenly think clearly enough and care to think about his kid)
I am a huge fan of the "Bobby Zilch is Loboto's kid" theory and can see a lot of ways it would work and a few subtle ways that I'd say it's even hinted at by the first game. In this case, I think that Milla would be able to connect the dots from things that she had learned about the campers. I feel like Milla, being the way that she is and being so empathetic, would have a good idea of what the kids' home situations were like. Bobby had always been a bit of an anomaly in this way, he used to be raised by his grandparents but left them and their mistreatment and had been "taking care" of himself for a short while now. Milla connects the dots of what she put together about Bobby's grandparents, his lack of parents, Loboto's memories of his parents and his strange and dark on-the-nose last name likely not being a real one, the clear resemblance between the two. She considers it as an option.
So I think that Loboto probably saw Bobby when he was removing his brain and was sort of half-aware and like "Hm. You seem so strangely familiar. Oh well, I can process that later, when I've taken over the world." And that Bobby is probably just hanging around the camp still, and doesn't have anywhere else to go. And Loboto goes back to camp to look for him. And that it's probably due to Milla's effective dot-connecting (which is totally a reach but also she's right, so...) that they're able to find Loboto after all of the mess that his absence caused. Sasha probably thinks the whole situation is so stupid lol.
#i end up typing walls of text that make it obvious that i wanna write fanfic but am too perfectionistic to ever refine and finish it dont i#yeah....#anyways those are my thoughts!#those heads be canoning#caligosto loboto#psychonauts 2#hcs#asks#.txt

Falling Cards Paradise within Reach Pages 111-125
I'm still debating on if I wanna do a "Falling Cards director's commentary" style thing like FSR rambles and Creations but obnoxiously explained but here's a few things I just wanna say for now, more under the cut:
...People on Webtoon never got Bat was an angel and I will never forgive them for expecting me to spell that out when it's so damn obvious.
So no btw it is not explained in the text as of rn and there's 300+ pages lmfao. It was meant to be OBVIOUS which is why I have not been shy about calling him an angel while posting here.
Ball is dense and ignorant about Paradise and by extension Bat here, that's the joke. Ball isn't knowledgeable about things he reasonably has no clue about as a random dead dude in PURGATORY.
Ball's "Lovely thought process" is supposed to get a laugh out of you about how SILLY it is, and Bat's CLEAR and strong OFFENSE to this line of thought is meant to be funny, as Paul ignores him and keeps talking.
Paul further doesn't fully get Bat brought him to a fucking love hotel which is just further funny, because Ball, is kinda dense.
But considering people on Webtoon genuinely gasped and said "HIS NAME IS PAUL!?" every single time Paul's real name was said, I'm not surprised they never got Bat was an angel.
You can call him Paul or Ball btw both work.
Sorry about being negative this shit just frustrated me for 2+ years and I'm letting that all out now lmfao.
If you're curious about Ball's age, I picture him around 20-40 age wise. His age is confusing because he was a human for 22ish years and has been a doll for 20. HOWEVER his human memories are muddy and that's expanded upon later. Soooo, I just joke he's a 40 year old man for simplicity but he doesn't always act that old for a reason.
Also getting carded for shit is just smth I relate to as someone with a baby face. Another thing that pissed me off that I got reminded of here and if you're an artist this will probably infuriate you too:
Someone genuinely tried to argue with me, HIS CREATOR Bat doesn't have bones. Example number 1 why you should never argue with me about characters you didn't write and I literally made:
He outright conforms he HAS bones and can feel them...
Right here.
You can go back and read shit if you are ever confused about these characters. Like, that's an option. Instead of arguing with me about YOUR ignorance.
I've retconned some stuff but like...He literally always HAD bones. HE HAS ONE IN HIS NECK THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT LATER WHAT KIND OF DRUGS DO YOU GOTTA BE ON TO TRY AND GASLIGHT THE CREATOR ABOUT THEIR OWN CREATION?
All the retcons have been about stuff that literally you would never notice as it wasn't STATED yet or was lose enough as an end I could change it and it would be impossible to tell btw...lmao.

Random: A gamer’s diary entry for October 2023!
While I finish writing, and playing, my next backlog games I’m excited to add to the wishlist ‘Little Goody Two Shoes’. Which looks like it’s going to be getting a physical release. (Which I won’t be picking this game up until the physical drops. I already know I’ll like it.)
One of my favorite YouTube channels called Nostalook worked on the trailer (and I think the in game cutscenes as well) and their work is stunning as usual. It really captures the 90s anime look. It deeply reminds me of Princess Maker.
youtube
Also it’s a shoujo yuri. Female romancable characters only! (And they’re all so ✨ PRETTY ✨) I can’t explain how HAPPY that makes me. I just hope it stays in an innocent direction.
You know, because in majority yuri isn’t made for women. 😐
I get it, but at the same time I feel locked out of the content because it’s so obviously not for me. But that’s a complaint for a different post on a different day! Makes me wonder if men feel the same way about yaoi.
I was very bad this month. There were a lot of physical sales. And then my preorders for new games rolled in. I always prioritize my physical games over my… “digital” games, so those will be in the front of my backlog!
Let’s take a look at what I picked up! (I paid full price for nothing on this list. I am wickedly good at finding deals and coupons. Which upon review I will attempt to pass onto you!):
Traumatarium
Dredge
Omori
FaeFarm
Inescapable
Sonic Superstars
Coffee Talk 2
Moon A Remix RPG
I’m already playing a few of these games, so my reviews on those should be out next week!
I decided to skip this month’s two biggest releases altogether until about next year. I want the GOTY Spider-Man 2 when it comes with all of the DLC for $20. The first one was amazing. I’m just willing to wait on it. Which is a similar story for Mario Wonder. I mostly use the fall season to get all the titles I’ve been wanting for a freaking sick deal. Why should I have to pay full price?
The older I get, the more I feel like I appreciate weird games and indie titles more anyway. I feel like those other projects have the freedom to take more aesthetic risks than the big companies. Not because of the creatives inside (They tend to always have good ideas), but the stockholders. 🙄
I adore some of these triple A titles to my core, but I crave to see more new things too. Different things.
Dave The Diver is a good example. That seems rad. I like ocean games. I like that we get more of them now. I’m gonna wait and see if that one gets a physical as well. You collect fish to go back to your restaurant to make sushi? Sign me up!
Don’t even get me started on Limited Run’s releases this month.
While ‘Persona 4’ and ‘This Way Madness Lies’ are no brainers for me; I was EXTREMELY on the fence about ‘Persona 3 Portable’. (I did pick it up reluctantly)
The remake of Persona 3 will be upon us soon and I don’t know if I’ll want to play P3P again. The problem lies in the fact that most of these games become much more expensive later. Buying it on “launch” from Limited Run usually IS the cheaper option.
That shit annoys me so bad. I don’t like picking up games for value. But because the game might be value I have to be ahead of the scalpers and pay for it at its maybe cheapest.
I collect games because I like ‘em. I want to play them and love them. I want to use my stuff. I don’t give a fuck about the “value”. I respect the folks that do care about that stuff but I plain just don’t.
But that’s also just kinda life. Not much can be done about other people. You can only truly control yourself. 🙄
Overall October has been an exceptionally excellent month for gaming! We’ve had so much good stuff come out this fall season. I’m excited for next month as well! Super Mario RPG will be making its re-debut and I can’t wait to talk about that one!

Ok, so did you always know that you were trans or did that happen much later in your life? The reason why I’m asking is that I’ve suddenly been hit with what I’m pretty sure is gender dysphoria, and it’s driving me nuts. I hate being male. I hate looking at myself, hearing myself talk, etc., etc. Problem is, I didn’t start feeling this way until 2-3 months ago. What should I do?
my road was a winding one with a lot of turns and it took me a while to figure out
in hindsight with context i can look back and see that i've had trans-y thoughts since at least 15 and am now like "huh. that explains a lot" but i didnt really figure it out until later. can go into more details about this in another post if u want, or privately
ive been dysphoric since about 20? but i didnt recognize it as dysphoria until about 25 i just had this general feeling of malaise about how masculine my body felt. something felt wrong and gross and it made me not wanna get out of bed some days when it was really bad. i didn't think i was trans but i did think that if i ever did somehow lose my balls i would rather transition at that point instead of taking testosterone replacement therapy because i'd have nothing to lose and i'd rather not be a man.
if its an option for you i would recommend going to a therapist who specializes in lgbt and gender stuff but otherwise idk. talk to trans people who are willing to talk about it, about what dysphoria feels like to them, and see if it sounds like how you feel. maybe experiment with your gender presentation. if it alleviates the feelings maybe youre trans idk

Man Of Steel References Honoring The Snyderverse In Blue Beetle Explained
Blue Beetle will feature references to Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, and the movie's director explains the choice. Snyder's Man of Steel started the DCEU back in 2013, with Henry Cavill's Superman being the shared universe's first hero. While the Blue Beetle movie is not part of James Gunn and Peter Safran's new DC Universe, Xolo Maridueña's Jaime Reyes is the new DC Universe's first movie character. That parallel between Blue Beetle and Man of Steel is not the only connection between the two movies.
During an interview with Nestor Betancor (via The Direct), Blue Beetle director Ángel Manuel Soto revealed that the movie will have references to Man of Steel.
According to Soto, he was excited to see Snyder hype fans to see Blue Beetle, as he respects the DCEU's former architect, saying, "his films are an immense influence." The Blue Beetle director then went on to reveal that his movie has "some references to 'Man of Steel' that we made out of honor and respect for the work and art of Zack Snyder." Check out the full quote below:
“Waking up in Mexico to the news that [Zack] Snyder wants to see it too, a director that I respect so much, that his films are an immense influence… Even in 'Blue Beetle,' there are some references to 'Man of Steel' that we made out of honor and respect for the work and art of Zack Snyder. Also, seeing David Ayer sharing it… It’s like, ‘WOW, brother!’ How nice it feels to have that support from people that one respects and that the fans also respect.”
Why Blue Beetle Having Man Of Steel References Is Bad
While Man of Steel is a good movie, and there are similar themes between Cavill's Superman debut and Blue Beetle, the new DC film would be better off not referencing the DCEU's first entry at all. Gunn and Safran were brought in to oversee the newly founded DC Studios to go away from the controversial decisions made by the former management during the DCEU.
Snyder did not actively work on any project for DC — other than the popular Snyder Cut of Justice League — after he departed 2017's Justice League. However, Snyder's DC movies are heavily associated with most of the controversial decisions that led to the DCEU not being as successful as it should have been. With the DCEU now being rebooted in favor of the new DC Universe, Blue Beetle referencing Man of Steel adds some unnecessary baggage to the movie.
Blue Beetle needs to be a breath of fresh air to the franchise, with the movie's standalone story and debut of a new hero being the perfect setup for its success, and adding in references to a movie from the controversial DCEU might hurt the film's box office chances. DC's other two 2023 releases so far, Shazam! Fury of the Gods and The Flash bombed in great part due to its DCEU connections. Remaining largely standalone, with perhaps Blue Beetle's post-credits scenes giving a peek at the new DC Universe, seems like the best option for the movie to succeed."
This is such bullshit. First the Anti-Anerican narrative for Bane. Now this.
Riffle me this: IF Warner Bros Discovery were truly serious about a DC reboot, a clean slate, why would they allow Soto to put Snyderverse references in Blue Beetle?
(From May 2, 2006)
Warner Bros.'s upcoming Justice League franchise is looking a little shaky these days.
Last week, Seth Grahame-Smith, the director of The Flash movie, which is scheduled for 2018, left the project, citing creative differences. And there have been rumors that director James Wan is getting cold feet with his Aquaman movie (which Wan later dispelled).
The turmoil reportedly stems from director Zack Snyder, the man who bungled Batman v Superman, a film that Warner Bros. believes didn't live up to expectations at the box office. Snyder is also the creative lead for the Justice League franchise and part of the Warner Bros. braintrust for the DC Comics cinematic universe. Ergo, because Batman v Superman disappointed, executives are now worried that Snyder's vision — a grim Superman, a Batman who tortures and brands people for death, lots of scenes in which Batman does Crossfit, etc. — isn't the best way to go.
But Snyder's plans for his comic book superhero movies shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, including critics. Back in 2008, Snyder gave a revealing interview to Entertainment Weekly about how he sees comic books, superheroes, and his upcoming movie (at the time) The Watchmen. The piece has been making the rounds on Twitter for how much it traces the psychology of Snyder's movies, from older titles like The 300 and Suckerpunch all the way through Batman v Superman.
The Q&A touches on a lot of different topics, but one of the most striking parts of the discussion comes when Snyder talks about his dislike for comics without gore or sex. He said:
You could call it "high-brow" comics, but to me, that comic book was just pretty sexy! I had a buddy who tried getting me into "normal" comic books, but I was all like, "No one is having sex or killing each other. This isn’t really doing it for me." I was a little broken, that way. So when Watchmen came along, I was, "This is more my scene."
Snyder not liking comic books where people don't kill each other explains his Superman; traditionally, Superman's entire existence is about inspiring and being bright and hopeful, but Snyder's iteration of the character kills someone in Man of Steel.
Later in the interview, Snyder talks about Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, revealing that if he'd been at the helm, he would have gone a lot darker than Nolan did by incorporating prison rape:
Everyone says that about [Christopher Nolan’s] Batman Begins. "Batman’s dark." I’m like, okay, "No, Batman’s cool." He gets to go to a Tibetan monastery and be trained by ninjas. Okay? I want to do that. But he doesn’t, like, get raped in prison. That could happen in my movie. If you want to talk about dark, that’s how that would go.
It's a mystery why Snyder believes that prison rape, sex, and death are what people want to see in superhero films — that comic book fans who love Superman really wanted to see him start killing people, or that Batman fans would really relish seeing the greatest detective alive not be able to tell the difference between a boat and a crime lord.
There's a reason these superheroes and their comics have endured. And even when Frank Miller and Alan Moore introduced grit and darkness into their worlds, it wasn't darkness for darkness's sake — which is what Snyder seems to be obsessed with.
Of course, the most baffling part of all this is that unless a shakeup happens at Warner Bros., Snyder is very close to making all of his terrible ideas come true."

"I'm pissed because THIS kind of behaviour helped create AND prolong a pandemic?" I understand how you feel. I just vehemently disagree. The one point that is true about him being wealthy is that he could travel much more safely than 90 percent of us. (Wealth is why there was a huge difference between going to the beach at Fort Lauderdale and going to the beach in Ibiza.) Sebastian Stan didn't create or prolong the pandemic. He stayed in NYC lockdown when NYC was in lockdown. And followed the rules for travel, including the options specifically designed to allow rich people to travel, which explains Tulum. I'm not "defending" him because I think he can do no wrong. But if you're still pissed at this point, I just don't care. It's weird to still be this invested in still criticizing him about that two years later. But if you are, you are. I'm still entitled to express my very different opinion though.
// Anon, on Ibiza alone he was seen with multiple different people during his stay. That alone already calls into question the "wealthy man can stay safer"-idea. Inigo Onieva posted about how 25(!) friends of his on Ibiza contracted Covid, and during Sebastian's stay there, they already had to bring mandatory mask-wearing on the Island back. Sebastian as a sole individual didn't prolong the pandemic, but with his behaviour he was part of the large group that did. I don't know how this simple fact just won't get through to you. I am not pissed about him two years later. I am currently getting pissed about people like YOU denying simple reality and rationality over one guy who should have known better. THAT is weird.

Wth are you going on about? First of, I don't have a child with autism, I have no clue how you came to that conclusion but let's not assume things we don't know about, ok? Its ignorant. Also i don't need to experience this to know killing babies is wrong, just like I don't need to be raped to know it was horrible. You were taking my comment completely out of context. I never gave my economical outlook on anything, and I also don't believe people should be forced to pay for services they don't want, i never even implied such thing so stop straw manning. You are creating your own caricature of my arguments and attacking it so how about we stick to what we're talking about. Also, she wasn't the one who terminated it, it was the gay couple who withholded healthcare because they still had legal ownership of the child and soon the baby died. They murdered the baby.
And what do you mean "it was a fetus without heart" ? You don't know what you're talking about here, she had already conceived the baby, and then it died. So it was very much alive and had a heart lol! If it was just a fetus then explain how the homosexual couple managed to cremate it? I already went into detail on this in the comment section of the post so if you're interested, go read them because I'm not going to repeat the same things again. Though, if you refuse to read what I said previously and just go off based on why you believe my beliefs are wrong then I simply won't respond back to you, because you are not willing to engage in the discussion but just take the conversation off the rails and putting words in my mouth.
Also how am i judging the mother, please explain?because I clearly said she was a victim of this too but as a surrogate, she played a partial role in all this. I am against surrogacy because children are not for sale. It's nothing more than an inhumane exchange that uses women's bodies as objects and treats babies as a commodity. In the comment section, i mentioned something like: the mother is a surrogate, she gets paid to do this, her participation and actions also lead to the death of the baby boy, she sold him to a homosexual couple without morals and then she regrets it. This isn't to say she didn't love him or care for him but it's her job, she knew what she was getting herself into. Once you sell your baby away, you don't know what those people will do to it.
She tried adopting but they denied and they even blocked her from trying to adopt him to save his life. They said "as soon the baby is born, its property" they saw the child as a product to be discarded at first signs of defect. They threatened the mother to kill the child and pressured her to get an abortion. They were not obligated to care for the child nor were they forced to take care of it, they had the option to, but refused and asked to withold healthcare from the child and it died because of this. They CHOSE to kill an innocent defenseless baby, they wanted him to die so stop kissing up to them just because they're pro-choice liberals like you, they're merciless killers. It is never justified to take away a life! Ever! Just because you think their expenses will be too much to handle doesn't mean you should just delete them from existence, even if your baby comes out healthy, they can develop illnesses and diseases later in their life, they make get into an accident and get a defect because of it and severely affects their way of life, does that justify killing them just because you don't want to be apart of services you don't enjoy or be a part of?
So you bringing their income and how they shouldn't take care of a baby if they don't want is not an excuse to kill a baby because they could've given it up when someone wanted to adopt it but they refused because they had murder on their mind, THEY HAD OTHER OPTIONS, but they demanded it to be terminated anyway and when that failed, they withheld healthcare so it can die. You didn't care to mention that now, did you? because that would go against your entire narrative you're trying to push. You also forget to add that they had ownership of the kid, so why withheld healthcare and not take care of your own child, why kill it? And we can both agree that money wasn't an issue for them. Do you now see how inhumane this situation is? They're evil and you are more concerned about whether they should be able to take care of it even when they don't want to?!
I also don't know why you're bringing up miscarriages, the women was able to conceive the baby normally even though her son came out ill because she had to birth him at 25 weeks due to the couple pressuring her to abort it. Brittney received a breast cancer diagnosis during her pregnancy and decided to deliver the baby early at 25-weeks so that she could receive the lifesaving chemotherapy required for herself and give the child the best chance of survival. The couple put their foot down and said that they'd rather watch the baby die than allow it to be saved and given to a family. The fact you would go far to still defend these two demons is beyond me and honestly says a lot about you as a person. You have no values and morals!
I also don't understand what sentiment you're referring to and what does women bleeding out from miscarriages have anything to do with this topic? Can you elaborate?
