say what you will about the conjuring franchise, but half the time they really do just splash bonnie aarons with blood, have her pop some color contacts in, and tell her to yell and then they call it a day

the ever expanding CONJURING universe
I don’t remember any movie franchise having its own universe  of spin-offs. Marvel is the only one I can think of that is close but that’s one company (same with DC) but those are not spin-offs and such or at least not how I would define one. They were all comics first THEN the movies but what characters in the Marvel comic verse got their own series and such…that’s out of my league. In the 80s…

That's awesome and adorable!
I hope Grace & Joseph have a beautiful lasting friendship like Christopher Meloni & Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order: SVU/OC), Michael Seater & Ashley Leggat (Life With Derek/Life With Luca), and Patrick Wilson & Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring Franchise)

Like yes I find at least half of the Saw franchise annoying at best but at least they are extremely themselves. The Saw franchise is one of the most detested series of films on the planet, largely by people who have never even watched one of them, and they still don't give into the pressure to be palatable to as many people as possible in the hopes of making more money. That's the difference between them and The Conjuring films, which are annoying AND bland.
