So maybe the night that Sukuna goes to snatch baby Satoru, he ends up making some kind of deal with the Gojo clan regarding Satoru...

he agrees to let Satoru live with them and and in return they will name him Satoru (omg) and teach him the clan's secret techniques to make him stronger, and send him to Sukuna from time to time after he becomes an adult to train with him and see if he's ready for the fated battle...

Imagine Uraume's reaction upon learning that "Sukuna-sama" is actually instructing the strongest human sorcerer how to murder him 😔

And After training with him for years Satoru starts to sympathize with Sukuna and feel like he's the only one that understands him, (his savior complex begins to take hold)

and Satoru's like: uh oh am I falling for the king of curses??? I've been training all this time to kill him, I don't want to fail everyone... (This man will never be free)

So he's torn between saving humanity or saving this curse (by reaching to him and teaching him love and oh boy here we go again history is repeating itself)

So he tries to reach Sukuna in his own way, and Sukuna clocks him right away😭😭

(And he's like you really haven't changed... Albeit he seems pretty pleased about it)

And then he starts monologing about how worthless love is, etc. etc. (He doesn't sound as convinced as before🤭)

Bonus points if we have Uraume in the back staring at the camera like in the office.

So Satoru figures out that Sukuna is too far gone and can not be fixed, but he will continue trying to reach him anyway. (There will be some cracks in Sukuna's walls but he's stubborn as hell)

Nevertheless, he's made up his mind to kill him if necessary. However, he made the decision that he will die along with him. (the prophecy would come true after all; it's fate; there's no avoiding it; Sukuna will die.)

And he doesn't want to remain alone after Sukuna dies.

Now would Satoru inform Sukuna about this plan of his?

i've been absolutely CRAVING to write a tension filled fic where they both want each other but don't know how to have each other. oh my god,,, did this concept absolutely scratch my brain.

i personally had to think for a hot minute abt their banter cos,,, yes, banter is 60% of their chem,,, but the stillness??? between them??? the way they react to each comeback??? how they look at each other or stand or sit too close??? how thick the air feels and how easy it would be to just have them kiss??? oh !!!! i really had to sit in their moment and intensify their feelings

the tension between them was slow with a sense of pressure... ugh. i really wanted to emphasize that their situation was easy. no one was stopping them from being together... but instead,, it was the pure fun of it that complicated things for each other. their dynamic is established since part 1. it's too easy to show the sudden change and honestly? unrealistic.

real tension,, real friends to lovers,,, is slow. awkward. it's this weird sense of uncertainty but also knowing and believing in them.

further, subtle things were so purposeful in each chapter imo. when i write fics,, i take a moment to think abut what each character has to offer the other/their specific traits. (my uni/college au's for example) deeper than what major i give them,, i think about their attitude and how it ties to to their little things.

for bed chem,, jk as a chem major was like a lightbulb moment for me because 1) it fit the title 2) it made it easier for me to write him as a grumpy nerd 3) it practically paints the picture of what kind of guy he is by all by itself... like, all i really needed to do was be specific with word choice and body language. being a part of the marine conservation club was like a hehe haha thing but also showcased his softer side (caring for the world and wanting to make change,,, etc).

meanwhile, oc majors in psych and she's kind of reckless. she's constantly tripping over her own feet and is unhinged for most for their banter... but she's intentful. she's good at talking around her feelings and her actions,, but she's even better at sticking to what she wants.

part 5 behaviour

because at this point,, they're together but not together,, jungkook tests the boundaries. they have a lot of unspoken rules so he does all he can to break them. oc,, doesn't really do much to stop him and i found it really important to decrease/limit her doubts because 1) the tutor thing wasn't really meant to be this whole trust issue thing 2) they have a lot of security in each other 3) the scenes where he skips the gala,, shows up when she has food poisoning,, when she had a hard day and he comes over to check on her ... it all shows the kind of friend he is and oc feels safe and secure in the man he is and how good he is to her

smut

ok i was realy nervous about this because 1) i was sick as a fucking dog writing the scene 2) i didn't want to disappoint 3) it had to live up to thefic title.

sometimes, i think i have to write these really wild scenes with position switching and insane dirty talk,, but because oc is a virgin... i thought it would be more fun to show her increasing interest to be intimate with him. the dry humping scene was HILIARIOUS to me. i thought it was a funny way of her exploring how fast jungkook would fold and the glasses part... yeah. i really like the way it led to their moment lol.

the actual sex scene i think turned out really cute. they have this... intense yet intimate energy between them. jk taking the lead but oc also knowing what she wants? the way they fuck and kind of just get lost in holding each other... the kissing narration?? learning her?? yeah. that tickled my brain. love the way oc has this playfulness during the entire thing,, meanwhile jungkook was losing his mind seeing her tits.

jealousy/communication

what's a kimi fic without her collateral damage hottie of the month ? first it was eunwoo/dex for c2u, mingyu for aao, and now it's dohwan for bed chem LOL. i think adding this and specifically my choice in who is coming in to play brings this relevancy into my fics that readers are able to laugh and relate to. brings connection yk!!

dohwan was so harmless ahahhaa. ngl, i think oc hearing jk fuck someone was like a "uh... omg. yikes.. i think i'm kinda jealous rn lol" moment but jk seeing a hickey on oc + being in a complicated state with her was a very "i want to die and i want you in the front row so you can see how much u hurt me and then i want u to cry over me,, only for me to beg god in the afterlife for another chance to live so i can comfort you" moment for him.

their communication/banter was such a big part of this fic. i think the plainness of their words held so much significance that after each line,, it felt like their tension would shift. again, specific word choice was really important. their banter and ongoing walking around their feelings was essential in keeping them (and readers) on their toes. their original ending was supposed to be this vague realization that they wanted to be together and the irony was that i wasn't supposed to write their smut scene and leave it as this tension filled open-ended fic,, but i'm glad i did what i did and gave them a definite ending.

some key lines i put into oc's dialogue was

"think i can do it? get you to want me?" to "i don't know how to have you" and finally; "i want you" was veryyyyyyy... premeditated. it gave this storyline through 3 lines and i really liked thatttt

the pavlov thing was funny as fuck cos again,, she's a psych major LOL. and the woof woof thing LOLLOLOL. very kimi core crackhead vibes

Honestly, I like that bc it's help me writing my MC lol But also, it's interesting contrast between bros, who so depend on MC, and side characters who saw that shit and was like "not on my watch"

Especially love when Barb and Sol told about this, I guess that's why I warmed up to Barb, bc Sol is already the best boy. I hope Mephisto, Raph and 13 will help MC to be yourself, not perfect one, who should be always strong and collected

/but, still, I like that MC able to help Lucifer with his burden and let him breathe, he deserved it. Sometimes I hate how his brothers treat him and I never wanted to be in anti Lucifer team :/

Ah yes, the demons being oddly dependent on MC is a little confusing, but I guess it's because they want MC to feel like part of the family?

Personally I think they make the brothers too reliant on MC in general, but I suppose it's because they want it to feel like MC is super powerful and strong, even if they're just a human?

I think I ended up kinda going with the opposite for my MC. I was kinda like okay, well, my MC is a just a regular guy. They contribute to the problems just as much as they help solve them lol.

And while I'm sure the side characters can be just as problematic in their ways, they all feel like they have separate lives apart from MC. Like they don't just fall apart whenever MC isn't around.

I already kinda get those vibes from Mephisto after the recent NB lesson where he was worried about them getting hurt. Like he took the time to make sure they were okay and then started asking them if they missed their family and such. I'm hoping the same for Raphael and Thirteen. I think I like all these characters more for similar reasons - they got their own stuff going on. They feel like they don't just exist for MC, they have more stories, richer lives. Whereas some of the brothers really feel like they just exist to fill the number of sins and are lacking more nuanced roles. This is easily fixed in fanfiction and I like finding those pieces of each character myself when I'm writing for them, but it can make them feel kinda flat too.

Lucifer is the brother that has the most going on, in my opinion. He's the most fleshed out, so I think we get more insight into him as a character. He definitely needs to take a break and I love the entire concept of MC being the one who's like, I see you and I see the work you do and I need you to hand some of that over to me so that you can rest.

🤝🤝🤝 he is so underrated and it's criminal I haven't written about him more honestly

this one started bc there was a discussion on the no writing academia server about how rich a vein overwork angst can be - characters working themselves to the bone and others trying to intervene - and it occurred to me that one of the hardest characters to write this for would be iida, since he is such a vocal proponent of Being Sensible, including breaks and healthy meals etc.

but that also made me want to write it for him more, as a challenge to see if I could still get it to make sense. we all know the things iida says and the things he does can go out of alignment sometimes, and also there's definitely a thing where treating yourself badly can kind of disguise itself and slide into existing patterns

currently unfinished partly because I stacked like 5 difficult for me to write elements on top of each other and then wondered why I was having a hard time, partly because I started writing it before I'd caught up on the show and so was handwaving a lot about the context in which this all takes place, and partly bc there were a few other elements I was trying to work in that in retrospect I think are actually separate fic concepts that don't entirely belong here

I draw a difference between bad characters (characters who are inherently boring or obnoxious in their design, no matter how competent the writer is) and badly written characters (characters who might have good concepts, ideas, and general outline, but ruined by sloppy writing)

By all means, criticize the flawed writing, because it is. I just think pitting them against each other, or implying that girls need to be, ahem, "kickbutt" to be worth something, is not the right way to discuss (let alone the tones and namecalling)

I think there's no rhyme or reason to the statements honestly, he's been given like 2, that's definitely not enough to form a proper pattern, only theories

It's another case of how obsessive he is, each statement could plausibly mean nothing more than being fed statements to be kept busy but he's trying to get as much information as possible, even knowing that the conclusions he's coming to are pretty much baseless, I don't think he can help it really, he might be doing it to himself but he's most definitely stuck

To be honest, I'm always putting my own spin in things and bending fiction as well as reality so that concepts in my narrative can exist more cohesively- This means that I'm breaking the standard mo of many monsters, and it's probably not a good idea to try to make your creations forcibly fit into the rules of my fictional universe. Be free, you know? Because stuff here can get confusing and make you a little unmotivated.

I'm also not going to correct people when they create something that doesn't really fit into a certain setting I've created, because that's just needlessly rude.
