The fact that this man right here could have the best niche, strange career, doing all of those one in a million movies that you have to watch at least three times to understand... yet those roles are taken by the Jared Letos of the situation and meanwhile he was doing Disney's things during its downfall
Marvel recognised his talent, but omg the wasted potential on Loki, too...

(was gonna rb the other post but go off i guess)
boundsmp RRverse au
[RRverse: rick riordans universe of mythologies]
DISCLAIMER!: This is mainly based in CHB because to me it fits, the chaos of it all yk, though there will be mentions of Norse (Valhalla) and Roman (Camp Jupiter) mythology stuff
Im gomna avoid making characters kids of the big three unless it really makes sense so
(this is a long post, so info under the cut!)
Startinh with camps -
I think the Avicane would probably translate into Camp Jupiter somehow, so i definitely think Vast wnd Armor would be Roman demigods
Vast probably has friends in Valhalla, which is the magpies, maybe they're kids of a lesser known god, farther down the line of gods?
I can't exactly explain it but i wanna make Sylph norse? Maybe something like they're at CHB but are actually norse because she just doesnt like being norse and wants to be closer to xers friends? Possibly maybe
Rune is mortal, though that doesn't mean he won't be important:]
I think most everyone else is greek, though that may change
Now! Godly parents:] -
The one i mainly thought about was Sylph, who i think is Lokis kid, especially since its often known that they're genderfluid shapeshifters, which just fits them extremely well
Technically this isn't a godly *parent* but! I think Runes an oracle of delphi, maybe even vibing with the Hephaestus kids, but being fully mortal, it feels fitting to me, it gives him a good plot reason to be around everyone but also still being fully mortal and mostly unrelated to the gods. Probably goes and gets tea with Hestia every week though, yk
Nemo and Gavrin are probably both kids of Iris, i feel as if it fits well! The goddess of rainbows often being associated with creativity, which to me just kinda fits, though Nemo could be a kid of Apollo as well
I refuse to be basic and make every nerd a child of Athena BUT... Im sorry Elwood is an Athena kid, listen- you- yeah.
Mojave is an Apollo kid, send tweet
For Taliesin im tempted to say Hecate but i feel like with all the fraud stuff it doesn't fit well? But for now we'll sit with Hecate
Erin gives off either Athena or Demeter kid vibes, mostly leaning Demeter though, especially with the plant stuff, feels right
Marcel is an Apollo kid, send tweet
Avas probably a Ares kid who found some scruffy oracle on the side of fhe street, picked him up by the scruff of his neck and said "brother" and beat the shit out of everyone about it<3
I know making Virgil a kid of Athena is the best option, but im cool so *no* that bitch is just insanely smart, they're a kid of Mania the god of insanity because HEAR ME OUT. His powers come out through explinations, driving people to insanity by dumping mass amounts of information on them, probably hangs out at the Athena cabin a lot thoigh
Pietro (pieman) i honestly don't know, i was considering Athena (especially because owl), but i actually don't know? So Athena for now especially with the owl stuff, probably has a few owl friends
ASH IS A HERMES KID, SEND FUCKIN TWEET.
Vast *sighs* Mars, hear me out, he was forced to fight, become as strong as he could to please his father, at the same time competing herself to fight away any emotion thay would defy Mars. Hear me out. Though if you wanna bring in the big three i think Jupiter could work as well
Armor is a tough one for me personally, i was tempted to go with Apollo but that didn't sit with me right i guess? So Mercury for now i guess? Feels like the best option to me, plus god of trickery makes sense with an eventual betrayal of camp jupiter:]
PLEASE ADD ONTO THIS !!!!! IF YOU HAVE IDEAS THROW THEM AT ME !!!!!!!!
BONUS BECAUSE YEAH
Viviana as a kid of Hades, or Mania (making her and virgil technically siblings????) I'm thinking Mania because madness is just tasty, but Hades could work if you're dramatic, but Mania also because that girl is fuckin insane- (say hi to ur sister Virgil:>/j/j/j/j)

Looks like we’re getting a lot of crazy things in 6x05
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/530a97412db26b29e0a647c7fcba2828/f7844b60276fdeb4-7d/s540x810/b504d3eeba1fddeda82cee52b0a9f132d1c7eb18.jpg)

which,
1. Considering the potential title “Moonless Night”, 6x05 will possibly be including Rayla being hurt or moon being otherwise metaphorically swallowed, (paralleling s3 swallowing/corruption of the sun’s power),
2. Considering episode 5 follows an episode titled “The Starscraper,” in 6x05 Aaravos is potentially freed at the end of 4 or during 5 and potentially possesses Callum which will lead to all sorts of trouble
3. Considering the connection of a scene between soren and viren with “until 6x05” and all the hints that the most impactful scenes between soren and viren were yet to come…. it seems likely that in 6x05 Soren and Viren will have a very emotionally charged moment together, also possibly with Claudia. Maybe with a confrontation of some kind, also involving the moon?
Let’s delve into this more though—As this potential title has ignited a spark to finally set ablaze and reveal the idea that has been percolating in my mind for months.
Moonless Night (and Why I Believe the Moon is Metaphorically Going to Be Swallowed) A S6 Speculative Meta
with arc1-arc2 parallels, norse mythology examination, reflections analysis and more

As far as I can see, the clue most directly points to Moonless Night. (Edit: which ended up being right!) And there are other reasons I’m on board.
I already went insane over this so let’s get started
A. S3-S6 Parallels
So, I’m a big fan of across arc season parallels as they’ve existed very overtly S1-S4 from the first moment, as well as some other things which in many ways are setup and reestablishment of dynamics (Rayla hesitating and breaking from her duty twice to help/see Callum instead, Harrow and Ezran respectively attempt to break free from the past but they have to acknowledge it, etc) as well as persistently in S2-S5:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/b1887b2387c23d1f4b84841d6da18275/f7844b60276fdeb4-4b/s540x810/569861a483683b419a2816f6cf5a0c768c3bcca4.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/0fdb0bc2d97e3c5bd62fdb3c8e605016/f7844b60276fdeb4-0c/s1280x1920/d730942e89f32dbf6aaec830c3b21faa7e50d5b2.jpg)
and, it seems, *possibly* S3 to S6–
1. If we get another plot against Ezran that’s not a joke (as it is in s4 and many throwaway lines and jokes in tdp come back to bite us)—+“This coming season will test Ezran's pacifist instincts”
2. If Viren returns, something like this—
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/c77e835fd633a9fb06cfdc5c1e59334a/f7844b60276fdeb4-a2/s540x810/c1b087d838d7dd3eaf226b2603ca74a9b99a3b41.jpg)
in contrast to the “I’m sorry it had to happen this way”/“No you’re not.”/“No, I’m not.” because Viren cannot doubt Ezran would be genuinely sorry
Viren would say I know because he gets it now, the new hesitant, less certain version who also feels bad for all he has done, but he wouldn’t have before.
SO… 3. If the Moon were to get metaphorically/literally swallowed on some level in S6, it would parallel 3x07, Hearts of Cinder.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2181e2a7647bfa08480bddaa0ff5c01a/f7844b60276fdeb4-37/s540x810/3f398a70151212b575dd2d3f18ed90984fde600f.jpg)
Corruption via Aaravos’s…child.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/b05734edeb9b12c263b98b1e1a91dd59/f7844b60276fdeb4-c9/s540x810/571c0f09315c9117d6cdad3231734680f6eb349d.jpg)
which, coincidently, brings me to my next point!
B. Norse Mythology
I’ve briefly discussed this before here, but let’s review:
Aaravos’s similarities to Loki
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/8d294265d44685ce3c2dafdac27f77ad/f7844b60276fdeb4-f2/s540x810/d70b28c7b7e1aa1b037d22670acc1489b3c33f03.jpg)

Source: Twitter
But while we’re on Loki’s similarities to Aaravos, let’s consider what his other children are up to during Ragnarok, the end of the world in Norse Mythology, which seems fitting considering all the foreshadowing of what chaos Aaravos has wreaked in the past (Xadia) and present (Lux Aurea) and even future (ominous wording in the reflections) when given the chance.
Loki’s children during Ragnarok:
World Serpent — rises up from the depths, encircles the world and causes great waves and destruction (“The seas churned” 👀)
Hel — From the underworld, “leading an army of the dead, she marches against the gods, uniting with her brothers and other forces of chaos. This culminating battle signifies the cyclical nature of Norse myths; an end that's also a beginning.” [1] Speaking of which, sounds familiar, right? In Ripples:
“While one may say it ends with a sunrise, [beginning] another will insist it ends at nightfall. [end]”
“With its impact came a long and terrible night: The earth bled! The seas churned! The sun and moon hid for weeks behind the sky’s screaming storm!”
“And when the long, dark night had finally passed—for the sun must always rise, mustn’t it?—they gazed out upon an unfamiliar landscape.”
Fenrir— He was gagged with a sword and was destined to lie bound to a rock until the Ragnarök (Doomsday), when he will break his bonds and fall upon the gods. According to one version of the myth, Fenrir will devour the sun, and in the Ragnarök he will fight against the chief god Odin and swallow him. [2]
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ebe908242369b61dc487659d3c7ec540/f7844b60276fdeb4-f4/s540x810/e7a1ab3237fb1a3ed8f30fa1bbc65f549258d3db.jpg)
It’s interesting how Fenrir has even more parallels than Loki to Aaravos here. Trapped by a blade, chained against rocks like Prometheus (one of Aaravos’s primary inspirations) was when his liver (modern heart) was eaten every day, and when he’s freed all hell breaks loose, including swallowing people (see Zym and Aditi) and the sun. But was it him with the sun? Or…..
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7714f61b02b4358c49580de6ee2143b0/f7844b60276fdeb4-13/s540x810/02e1fe72760d38dccf0f517f0114b4ef489f0fa4.jpg)
There’s something there about killing a god and being killed in return and making the stars fall and all the damage Claudia has suffered thus far, but anyway.
That’s right, Fenrir has two children, one who swallows the sun, and one who swallows the moon. During Ragnarok, while, also, the sea shakes. Ahem, back to this:
“With its impact came a long and terrible night: The earth bled! The seas churned! The sun and moon hid for weeks behind the sky’s screaming storm!”
So… earth blood?
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d5e569e9219a8267184b6e977947a84c/f7844b60276fdeb4-c0/s540x810/a4fca50b86578052e5c28a4a657c306d8aa36cc6.jpg)
Check… churning seas?
World Serpent — rises up from the depths, encircles the world and causes great waves and destruction
Check… sun and moon gone?
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/225b2845469542073e9008a282fb38f8/f7844b60276fdeb4-7f/s540x810/2112af48dfaef42e3934102947b544ea585f63f1.jpg)

Check.
So, what do we do with this information?
C. Interpretation
So Aaravos with two children, one who swallows the sun, one the moon.
Swallowing the Moon
-Involving a Child
1. Most literally: Aaravos has that… homonculus child, which takes and poisons the power of the sun. Maybe we’re getting another of those? I’m honestly scared for what that actually means like is he having another kid for that because 😭
2. What I favor- a metaphor— If you can consider Claudia Aaravos’s child, well, child in law isn’t that far off for the sake of this theory I think it’s possible they team up and somehow metaphorically swallow the moon like Viren and Aaravos did in S3. ….Just taking the moon, corrupting it and using its power— like they did with the Sunfire power— to make troops invisible in their effort to conquer xadia part two (2!) (although this is probably like the nth time that Aaravos has attempted his plan.)
-not involving a child
3. it could also just be disrupting the moon nexus in some way. Aaravos tends to break reflections in one way or another, from mirrors to ripples.
in Ripples he talks about how he dislikes how the stars look down on their perfect reflection (the sea of cast out)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/aad8c8ece01f019eab37481170d6e994/f7844b60276fdeb4-56/s540x810/1478dd3875553af0b83a003c82dce50e1a668de7.jpg)
@parroset has written an excellent meta elaborating further on it here, but essentially, he breaks reflections. A reflection is key to the moon nexus, that lake is the moon nexus because it so perfectly reflects the moon. So… there’s something to that. And it would have to come in handy manipulating the veil between life and death.
4. Taking Luna Tenebris’s power in a flashback.
I’ve talked about why I think we’re finally getting Luna Tenebris content before here, but essentially we already got all the dragons in the 4 corners of the map via flashback or interaction, and now only she is left. A flashback on what really went down that day would be perfectly in line with us learning more about Aaravos’s past, perhaps interaction with Kim'dael as well as, hopefully, blood magic—and dark, star, and deep magic. It also fits in with swallowing the moon’s power, as she was a Moon Archdragon. Moonless night. This also ties back to the blood moon cult because they harvest the power of the moon to begin with.
Last but not least and most obvious and exciting to many,
5. Rayla= “Moon girlfriend.” Callum is already being targeted, and likely some terrible thing is going to happen to him up with the rating being up, creators crying over this episode and calling it “heartbreaking” and all of that, so swallowing the moon could be symbolism for her dying or something equally terrible (so he’s forced to exploit dark magic/Aaravos to save her.)
This also ties back to this being the episode following the star scraper and the theory that Callum is a Trojan horse and, once he’s there, all the shit is going down. Maybe Rayla gets in the way and tries to sacrifice herself. I wouldn’t be surprised. or maybe it’s an intentional harm so that Callum has to bring her back… who knows?
It is for you to think about as you see fit.
@beautifulterriblequeen also wrote about other possibilities for the Moonless night here!
D. Symbolism & Misc.
Now let’s talk about the other symbolic evidence pointing to the swallowing of the moon.
The first thing that got me hooked on this theory was actually this page, which we see Viren flipping through, and then in Callum’s sketchbook.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/805ec5a6ff47f9f88226601f614fd9b2/f7844b60276fdeb4-b3/s640x960/bbca3544f21c65f7d46e3d55985748e453cbd2a6.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/1098aae37424d15b083e6fc126fe7117/f7844b60276fdeb4-76/s540x810/3293d320899ced52e00d4072542de318c9f7fb47.jpg)
I already analyzed the markings surrounding Aaravos’s signature symbol, but I also found the eclipse and crescent moon especially interesting considering how important the eclipse motif has been in the series and uniquely tied to Aaravos.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/585bb7d16af949d640d19399e868d2b9/f7844b60276fdeb4-02/s540x810/e828d1ae29f24cdd96fa8f9cc4fa33aee434efe5.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2ccad8f057ad13ca33e2f1db8ccd776c/f7844b60276fdeb4-ec/s540x810/7f87a118ca36e680c48a499e6cecd7b6b2971617.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/087573570f751a0679d0bd63e2363c33/f7844b60276fdeb4-ce/s540x810/d233f7243cca67cdcdf1160aa25e7eec0df15aef.jpg)
Thus far I figured the moon also had to be significant right it also almost seemed to me as if both the sun and moon had a bite taken out of them.
Then, we have the Reflections.
After Darkness
“The writhing, tainted darkness of Lux Aurea’s night sky spread infinitely above him, the stars all swallowed up inside it.”
Ripples
“While one may say it ends with a sunrise, another will insist it ends at nightfall. ” (swallowed sun) (falling stars)
“With its impact came a long and terrible night/And in that endless dark the humans despaired. The humans huddled together, scarcely daring to breathe, awaiting the rise of the sun.”
which, side note- sol regem saying the sun will never rise again for me, karim saying the sun is setting on their kingdom, and aaravos telling viren that the sun will rise and he will not like augh.
Then there’s the more literal interpretations of swallowing the moon and or sun along with the stars - Consider
1, Aaravos is giant
2, Star eating sword
3, Star devourer dragons
And, let’s go back to the crescent.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/56fbd98e5a075670431739ebd9aa4fdc/f7844b60276fdeb4-55/s540x810/7bd55f52857daf6b9841fc4b693d7b31d94cac29.jpg)
Waxing Crescents are associated with growing power, which would also be fitting for Aaravos gaining power, possibly a literal powerup.
Let’s also consider what new moons mean- considering the possible name, moonless night, and all the swallowing of the moon, and starting a new cycle, new moons are certainly significant, right? Moonless night- A fresh start. Could be something!
In summary, I believe the moon will be metaphorically swallowed in S6 in one way or another.
I hope you enjoyed, and thank you for reading my thoughts! Please feel free to share any insights or reactions of your own!

Hello~, I love your blog.
May I ask for Nikola Tesla, Buhda, Nostradamus and Quin Shin Huang x Freyja!reader. Mythologically speaking Freyja is the goddess of various fields and that increases with the stories, goddess of love, beauty, fertility, war, magic, wealth and prophecy, she was an important deity of the Nordic pantheon, so much so that some stories consider her Frigg herself (Odin’s wife), also someone that even Odin himself respects and avoids angering (the funny thing is that in one story Freyja was his teacher to use and learn about the ancient seidr magic, and it is said that she is the first when choosing the souls of the fallen in war and then it was Odin). She was so beautiful that even the giants created chaos so that she would marry them and many gods wanted her.
I find it interesting to see Freyja!Reader have a true love relationship with those humans, especially with Nikola because of that as a goddess of magic and a scientific human, Nikola telling her how much he loves her in a scientific or biological way (and nothing romantic) and she it seems romantic while Brunhilde and others see them with a wtf! face 🤣
Plus the reaction of jealous gods like Poseidon, Thor and Loki because she is with a human, in mythology Loki and Freyja don’t get along but suppose here Loki harbors a love for her
Sorry for the bad English, I’m writing it with the translator, greetings from South America 😁
Hello darling, your English was very good, so no problems there. The only character I will not write for this HC is Nostradamus, as in RoR, he is still a child. I do apologize.
-Odin could count on one hand the number of people that he would never intentionally piss off, and he’s pretty sure that three out of the five are you.
-You were the only one who could get Odin to stop and listen to reason, and you were also only one of a few who could handle him in combat and who has managed to actually beat him.
-Your duties covered a wide range of things, from beauty and war, to magic and fertility, and so many more; you were considered one of the strongest gods in the Norse pantheon.
-Everyone respects you as well as desires you, you couldn’t tell how many proposals you’ve received of the years, from gods to frost giants, and everything in between.
-Many were cocky, trying to stir up trouble and cause problems for others, with your hand in marriage being the only way they would stop.
-That would not be the only way they stopped, as you proved, time after time, why you are the Norse Goddess of War.
-Loki likes it when stuff like this happens, as you always give a good show in beating someone else’s ass, Odin and Thor also enjoy seeing you fight, but Thor is more willing than Loki to join you in battle, to fight alongside you.
-When it was found out that you were dating someone, so many lamented to loss, so many in anguish that someone else had your heart.
Buddha- To Odin, Buddha wasn’t the worst choice you could have gone with, so he wasn’t too upset, as he could see how happy you were with Buddha. You were very balanced with each other, he was more laid back while you were always ready to get going or work, he would be the one to capture you and hold you down to cuddle you, forcing you to relax, while you always gave him a workout when you sparred, as the snacks you shared afterwards were always even tastier. You enjoyed being with Buddha, he was relaxing to be around, and the treats that he shared with you were always so tasty!
Qin Shi Huang- How in the heavens did a human manage to snag you?! The news had quickly spread around Valhalla that you were dating a human, an emperor, but neither one of you were bothered by it. Unlike others who would just come up to propose to you, he had seen you fighting and wanted to try it out himself, so when he approached, he asked you for a sparring match, and after another annoying days of proposals, his was the only you accepted. You easily defeated him, showing your strength, but his skills surprised you and you grew curious of his own fighting techniques. You bonded over battle styles, while drinking tea together, and he was like a child when you showed off your magic to him, which amused you and you couldn’t help but like this cocky emperor.
Tesla- When he saw you fighting, using not only a sword, but magic as well, his eyes were like stars, wanting to research as much as he could about you! When he asked to study your abilities, you accepted, as it wasn’t another marriage or date proposal. Nikola was very amusing to you, trying to claim that magic wasn’t real, trying to prove everything unusual that you could do in a scientific matter. You liked this eccentric man, growing close to him, as he was so curious, it was refreshing to have someone like him in your life. When you would tease him, pecking his cheek softly, wanting to know the reasoning behind his flushed face he would just ramble on how his heart was working faster due to a dramatic, sudden increase of endorphins. While many would stare at him like he had five heads, and then stare at you, curious as to why you liked him so much, they did have to admit you looked cute together.
-There were a few who were more annoyed than others that you were no longer single, many of them insanely jealous, especially of your choice of a partner.
Poseidon- He had been one of the men you had rejected many times, something that infuriated him, as you would be the perfect queen to stand by his side! Your reasoning behind your refusal was that he could never beat you in a fight, something he was embarrassed about, but he also admired you, you were so strong. He had a hard time proving himself to you, and now, for some reason, you were dating a human (or Buddha)!!
Thor- Thor respected you greatly, he knew you were a power warrior and even stronger magic user, there weren’t many that could handle him in a fight, much like Odin, and you were that person. That’s why he admired you and wanted the chance to court you, but he missed his chance, now seeing you with a human (or Buddha)! He felt like they weren’t worthy enough for you, but he didn’t want to anger you, as he could see how happy you were. Although his heart ached, seeing you happy helped with a bit of the pain.
Loki- Was a pouty baby when he found out you were in a relationship, with a human (or Buddha) no less! Loki’s way of showing affection was teasing you, getting you riled up, as it made you pay attention to him, even though you were with someone now, he still did it, enjoying making you made, it was fun for him! But he was still annoyed, as he liked you, wanting you for his own, but he wasn’t going to do anything that would risk you actually coming to hate him, gods no. Doesn’t mean he wasn’t happy about it though.

Only doing this because I was dared too.

OoC: Just want to explain some things‼️
This is Loki from Norse mythology, NOT Marvel
Loki will go by any pronouns
BALDR IS NOT DEAD YET‼️
I headcannon that the Æsir and Olympians know each other
Loki and Eris are best friends. Like so much so Eris might’ve gifted him a child- (it’s complicated)
Most trickster gods are friends with each other or know of each other
Loki is a god of bindings, promises, children protection, the Hearth, and is more a spider god than a snake god(Loki actually doesn’t like snakes all that much)
Loki still has scars on his lips from when Brokk sewed them shut
My design of Loki is my pfp, but some of it got cut off, like his horns
PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU HAVE THEM‼️ I’m bored so this is a ask blog :)
My other accounts are @the-goddess-of-chaos-eris, @copia-is-best, @helpless-writer-13 , and @champion-of-hermes
That’s all for now‼️

I know you are Danish, but as a Dane what do you think of Valhalla as a game? (I’ve always wondered what a local person would think of a representation of their country history). How does it feel seeing your history and potential ancestors on there?
Oh, I could write a novel on this. 😅
Even if Eivor hails from Norway, most Vikings who conquered, settled and raided in England - came from Denmark. A fact you'll oddly enough find most Danes proud of. Nonetheless, AC Valhalla has a super interesting take on it and still manages to apply real historical context - despite the game being fictional. With most Danes being able to track their ancestry back to Odin, and taking pride in their Viking heritage, AC Valhalla had a challenge ahead of them. But I genuinely feel like they've written us a beautiful love letter while staying true to the franchise.
Having grown up with Norse Mythology, though, and having had an insatiable interest in it since my first encounters with it as a child, that is what truly piques my interest. Norse Mythology is such an incredibly fun and human experience. A story and a world that translates well into a setting such as AC Valhalla. And not only because of the historical context.
The representation of mythological characters, the gods (æsir and vanir alike), the jötnar and dwarves are, in my opinion, fantastic.
Odin's arrogance, his hunger for power and knowledge, with just a touch of something playful.
Loki's mischievous nature, his cunning and intelligence - how he seems to believe the impossible to be improbable, and like a riddle to be solved.
Frigg's motherly determination.
Freyja's smarts and passion - how they remember that she's not only a goddess of love but also a goddess of war.
Each god has different qualities, weaknesses, and attributes. In Norse Mythology, an important characteristic is how the gods exhibit a plethora of human traits, behaving much like humans with emotions and interpersonal conflicts. The gods were meant to serve as role models, showing humans how to live and which rules to follow – and which ones could be broken. The existence of the gods was just as fraught with problems as that of humans, and their primary task was to ensure that chaos did not erupt. They're meant to be relatable - human - in their person and behaviour. And this is something I feel AC Valhalla shows and explores well.
The narrative of AC Valhalla doesn't shy away from presenting Odin's choices in a morally ambiguous light. The impact of Odin's decisions on the world around him, including the relationships with other Isu (Loki especially) and the well-being of Ásgarðr, serves as a reminder of the intricate web of cause and effect. While Odin's decisions, driven by a mix of self-preservation and concern for his people (or family), blur the lines between right and wrong. The game invites players to question the morality of Odin's choices, fostering a deeper engagement with and understanding of his character. Even as an Isu, a God, even as he believes himself infallible: Odin is human. He's flawed.
And it reflects in Eivor. She's confident in herself, and in her abilities, sometimes verging on arrogant. But through her discoveries and development throughout the game, she's humbled and realises what is truly important to her, which eventually leads to her rejection of Odin. Her whole experience and journey are so authentically human. Her emotions, her experiences, and her relationship with Odin. Finding herself, despite what whispers in her ear, and realising what holds her heart.
But this is something I feel the AC franchise does well: they tell stories that are unique to the human experience. Something that harmonizes well with the themes of Norse Mythology.
I feel they've done an amazing job with AC Valhalla. I genuinely love the game, I keep coming back to it; thinking about it. With AC Valhalla they've crafted a captivating and immersive experience that seamlessly blends the storytelling of Norse Mythology, Viking Culture, and the fictional aspects of Assassin's Creed, while beautifully conveying the complicated message of the human experience.
That's it.... I apologize for getting carried away 😅
What was the question again? 🤣

⋆𐙚 ₊ ° ⊹ ♡ WILD CHILD AND THE WEIRD GIRL . . . 🫂
paring: wild child!sarah cameron x weird girl!reader
warings: a little cursing ig. like one mention of ward (dw i didn’t use his name)
yar’s notes: i love girls, i love sarah, i love making fics. BOOM that’s how your mother and i met bob.
The elite St. Celeste’s Academy for Girls wasn’t Sarah Cameron’s idea of “fun.”
She was used to the salty breeze of the OBX, the chaos of her Kook life, and doing whatever the hell she wanted, whenever she wanted.
But apparently, her dad had had enough of her rebellious streak and decided this would “fix” her.
Spoiler alert: It wouldn’t.
It was day one, and Sarah was already plotting how to get expelled. That was until she met you—the most…unexpected roommate she could’ve imagined.
The moment Sarah walked into the dorm room, you were already there, sitting cross-legged on your bed, reading what looked like an ancient, leather-bound book.
Your side of the room was decorated with fairy lights, random posters of niche memes, and a few figurines that Sarah swore blinked at her.
You didn’t even look up when she slammed her suitcase onto the bed.
“Hi,” Sarah said, tossing her designer bag onto her desk.
You flipped a page. “Oh. Hi.”
And that was it. No judgmental glare, no questions about why she was here, nothing.
Sarah raised an eyebrow, waiting for you to say more. When you didn’t, she huffed and flopped onto her bed.
For the next two weeks, the silence in your shared room was deafening.
Sarah would come and go, her earbuds blasting music, while you stayed on your side, quietly typing away on your laptop or muttering to your pet plant (which, yes, she noticed you had named “Loki”).
You weren’t shy, per se. You just seemed…weird. Not in a bad way, but in a “What is going on in your head?” kind of way.
Sarah didn’t bother trying to figure you out.
Until the night it all changed.
It was late. Too late. Sarah had spent the day avoiding her teachers, sneaking out to the woods behind the school, and texting her friends back home. She was exhausted.
You, however, were wide awake, staring at the ceiling with a bizarre intensity.
At 3:07 a.m., you suddenly sat up and said, “Do you think squirrels worship the moon?”
Sarah bolted upright, yanking her sleep mask off. “What the actual—?!”
You turned to her, completely serious. “Like, think about it. They’re nocturnal sometimes. And they bury things. Like offerings.”
Sarah blinked. “Are you high?”
“No.”
There was a long pause.
Then, Sarah burst out laughing, clutching her stomach. “What—what even—why would you say that?!”
You shrugged. “I don’t know. I was just thinking about it.”
“At three in the morning?”
“Yes.”
And for the first time since arriving at St. Celeste’s, Sarah found herself genuinely smiling.
From that night on, things started to shift.
You weren’t just her “weird roommate” anymore. You were quirky.
You made the kind of random comments that caught Sarah off guard and made her laugh when she least expected it.
One day, you were sitting cross-legged on the floor, building a house of cards, when Sarah asked, “So, what’s your deal?”
“My deal?”
“Yeah. You’re, like, smart but also super weird. Are you secretly plotting world domination?”
You smirked. “If I were, you’d already be my minion.”
Sarah snorted. “As if.”
But the teasing turned into real conversations.
She learned about your love for astronomy, your bizarre fascination with conspiracy theories, and how you once convinced an entire summer camp that you were cursed.
And she…liked it.
Sarah wasn’t sure when it hit her.
Maybe it was the night you stayed up with her, helping her finish a last-minute essay she had completely ignored.
Or the time you dragged her to the library to show her some ancient mythology book because “it’s actually really cool, I promise.”
Or maybe it was the way you looked at her—like you actually saw her, not just the wild child everyone else labeled her as.
Whatever it was, Sarah started to notice little things.
Like how her heart skipped a beat when you laughed.
Or how she found herself hanging on to your every word, even when you were rambling about cryptids.
One evening, you both found yourselves lying on the floor, staring up at the ceiling.
“Do you ever feel like…you’re supposed to be someone else?” Sarah asked softly.
You turned to her, your eyes thoughtful. “No. I think we’re just supposed to figure out who we are, not who everyone else wants us to be.”
Sarah swallowed hard. “That’s…deep.”
You smiled. “I’m a nerd. It’s what I do.”
She laughed, but it was different this time. Softer.
“I think I like you,” Sarah blurted out.
You blinked. “Like…as a roommate?”
“No.” She looked at you, her cheeks flushed. “Like…more than that.”
The room fell silent, and for a moment, Sarah thought she had completely ruined everything.
But then you smiled, that weird, wonderful smile that had grown on her over the past few weeks.
“Good. Because I think I like you, too.”
St. Celeste’s wasn’t so bad after all. Sarah still hated the rules, the uniforms, and the annoying teachers. But with you by her side, it was starting to feel a little more like home.
And if anyone had a problem with the wild child falling for the weird girl? Well, that was their problem.

various gods trying to be Percy's step-father
Which gods would you think could be Percy's step-father? If gods try it. + Bonus, Ra vs Percilla rivality. As Only Ra would have a Rival with a toddler Demigod.
Hmmm, I guess it would depend on who you ask:
Odin would probably pick:
Dylan ail Don: Welsh water god/darkness god
Njörðr: Norse Sea, god one of the Vanir, divorced
Bangpūtys: Lithuanian sea and storm god
Nodens: Celtic healing and water god
All of Odin's choices are people who are already allied with the Norse but who he would want to keep a closer eye on + could tutor a child with water powers.
Loki would probably be interested in:
Lemminkäinen: Hero in Finish mythology similar to Baldr and I would have to figure out how to make a demigod if I include him
Diarmuid Ua Duibhne: Hero from Irish Mythology and adopted son of one of the Tuatha Dé Danann
Tāne: Maori god of Peace and Beauty
Loki likes pretty boys. Would love it if a cute boy would spend all their time playing house with him.
Gods that would want to marry Loki to be Percy's stepdad:
Leviathan: a Hebrew demon, would like to not live so close to his creator, Beelzebub, and Loki likes snakes anyway
Nu: Egyptian god of primordial waters who will destroy the world but has a lot of free time and would love to stick it to Poseidon, Ra's dad, and would also love to give his son a little surprise
They all have their own agendas. 😬
Sorry Loki you have too much baggage, but there are probably some chaos goddesses that are big fans of your work out there and make poor decisions regarding relationships.

*looks at you like a child being told a cool story*
That's awesome! Even though I bummed myself thinking how the religious conservatives in my country (Greece) would hate you 😭
But it's their loss that they don't have an open mind!
But yeah, I don't love to ask you more. I'm really into mythology, so I understood plenty of what you told me :)
The way you speak about spirit guides really reminds me of the Constellation system in Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint (only like...ya know, not malicious and with agendas of their own, like the Star Stream in the story)
Apart from Loki and your bear, are you in contact with anyone other spirits?
Can you be more specific about what chaos magic is?
How do your spells work and manifest?
What's your favourite spell?
YAYYYYY
also i love the fact that my very presence will make religious conservatives mad
i don’t know what that is i’m so sorry
I work with Athena and Hekate as my deities. one of my spirit guides is a woman named Elizabeth who looks almost exactly like the album cover for The Fool in Her Wedding Gown by The Crane Wives (i’m not exactly sure what she is). another is this starry being called Aerth who may be a more complex type of spirit guide, they’re all very nice!
chaos magic is kind of hard to explain but the best definition i could find (thanks wikipedia), is that the essence magic is that perceptions are conditioned by beliefs and that by changing our beliefs, we can deliberately change how we perceive the world around us
there are a shit ton of spells, but their components charge the spells (like for example cinnamon helps with money, so using cinnamon in a spell can help attract money). they manifest in varying ways depending on what kind of spell you are doing and ingredients used, from healing, to beauty, to money attraction
theres this one spell to help make a specific person have a realization on what they’ve done. worked great on this girl who hexed me and was a general bitch to me for the past few years. it did work :D

Hey, Stray! Happy STS!
Who would be your OC(s)'s godly parent? Feel free to pull from any pantheon you'd like!
I will go with my OC's in Defenders:
Skyler: Definitely Loki, neither the marvel version nor the one in magnus chase. It is my version of him. If not Loki than Hecate. That or Skyler is the child of chaos.
Ah-dainn: He would be the son of a solar deity. I don't want Apollo or Helios. Surya from Hindu mythology just doesn't seem like a right fit. Mithra from Persian mythology seems more like a proper fit.
Ren: I don't want Athena because she is also the goddess of wisdom and I didn't want to Tyr or Horus to be her parent either. Durga was a maybe, but she is one of the many avatars of one goddess. I needed to research for her. I found Agasaya (Semitic).....I didn't get very far with the research.
Ivy: Daughter of a god of fertility or agriculture. So...Demeter, Kokopelli, Xipetotec, and many others to choose from.
Jay: Honestly Hermes would be the best fit. Speed and thievery.

Along side the religious mc, what about a pagan mc who keeps trying to convince everyone of the other ancient gods because they speak to said gods, and no one believes it until they talk to someone like zuez or thor (can't spell lol) during a bad storm with thunder and lightning while outside?
Like, I think it'll be funny
DON'T MESS WITH MC AND THEIR HUMAN WORD GODS
Mc entering the doing room with a grim face.
Mc: Who has blown out the candles on my altar?
The brothers look at each other.
Lucifer: it's for safety Mc, well end burning (again) as we continue like this.
Mc: Lucifer is my altar to Hestia!! You can't put out the flames in honor of the home fire.
Satan: Mc pleace, mythology is just a tale.
Mc: Are YOU really telling me this?
Belphie: they are just inventions Mc...
Mc: the gods are real!!!
Levi: then, how is it possible that Thor and Zeus are both God's od thunder lol?
Mc: the human word is vast and ancient, each mythology has its own domains and must be respected.
Mammon: yeah, yeah, Mc, I hope your little friends the God don't punish us for it...
Mc: *squinting* who plays with fire ends up getting burned.
.
.
.
After several days, an electrical storm broke out in the Devildom and it does not stop.
Mammon: I can't take it anymore, when is this storm going to stop?
Beel: this is very weird... This doesn't usually happen in Devildom
Asmo: I need a night without lightnings nor thunders!!! I can't rest
They all enter in the House soaked and find Mc having tea whit two men.
The brothers: ...
Lucifer: Who are they?
Mc: *grinning* dear biblical creatures let me introduce you to Thor, God of thunder, son of Odin and Zeus, father of God's and God of thunders as well
Zeus raises his hand and, at that moment, a thunder rolls.
Mc: I thought that maybe it's a good time to introduce you to all my friends.
.
.
.
Lucifer: ...
Zeus: ...
Lucifer: so... are you telling me that your daughter was born from your head?
Zeus: that's right.
Lucifer: It is a Joke?
Zeus: well, at least she was not spawned exclusively from my anger.
Lucifer: *angry ofended demon noises*
.
.
.
Levi: so you are a sea god?
Poseidon: yeah, I’m the king of the oceans, the great Poseidon, capable of causing earthquakes and tidal waves, hero of titanomachy and father of numerous creatures.
Levi: ...
Levi: I think that that is a hit to my self esteem.
.
.
.
Mammon: so you are friend with Mc?
Loki: yes
Mammon: and you are a god of tricks and deceit?
Loki: that's how everybody know me.
Mammon: *Realicing* That why Mc always beats me at cards!!
Loki: oh no, i offered my help but... they didn't need it, you are easy enougth to fool whithout my magic
.
.
.
Solomon: I still can't belive that Mc had ties to all of you.
Isis: well, they are a lovely person, and they have respected and honored us since they were a child.
Solomon: ... you are a magic god, aren't you?
Isis: *Look up and down at Solomon* Yes I am
Solomon: could you teach me some spells? I want to use them to cook something for Mc and the others, you know to surprise them.
Isis: oh boy, that's a pathetic excuse, I'm not going to teach you anything. Besides, there is no magic that can save what you call cooking.
Solomon: ... auch
.
.
.
Asmo: so... you are the embodiment of beauty?
Afrodita: of course, don't you have eyes?
Asmo: well I have not seen anything that you have achieved that I have not.
Afrodita: *similing* cute little demon, I defeated you the moment I shared a bath with Mc.
Asmo: ...
Asmo: you win, teach me, please
.
.
.
Barbatos: ...
Hades: ...
Hades: you remind me of my father.
Barbatos: excuse me?
Hades: yeah, the whole thing about controlling time and being a cruel criature... I hope you are not one of those who devour their children.
Luke looks at Barbatos with teary eyes.
Luke: are you going to devour me?
Barbatos: Luke no
.
.
.
Simeon observes with Mc the chaos that has been unleashed in the Devildom thanks to the different gods.
Simeon: I never would have expected something like this...
Mc: the truth is that I do.
Simeon: and that all those stories were real ...
Mc: ... Simeon, dear, you are an angel, we are in the hell and I leve with seven demons, I've meet the death and here, our sorcerer friend lived for hundred of years... Are you really telling me this?
Simeon: sometimes I forget those details...
Mc: yeah, you should remember that I'm a human holy chicken.
.
.
.
Hestia: we have been able to help you?
Mc: yes, I appreciate that you brought the whole troop.
Hestia: ha ha, it has been interesting.
Mc: no one will dare to touch your flames now
Hestia: *kiss Mc's forehead* take care dear child, enjoy your live here and look for your friend, they are interesting creatures.
Mc: I'll do, my goodness.
Hestia: and don't forget where you come from.
.
.
Well, well, have I enjoyed writing this? I have enjoyed it, I am a lover of mythology,bI know Greek mythology the most, but I would love to learn more about other mythologies. All the scenarios that could be written... Thank you @shota-catziwa much for the suggestion, I would have liked to delve deeper into mc's relationship with the gods but my head doesn't give for more. I just hope you enjoy it even if it's a little bit.

Hel (Old Norse ‘Hidden’) was the goddess of the death in Norse mythology, as well as a child of Loki who lived amongst the Aesir Gods and Angrboda, a fearsome giantess. This made Hel the sister of the monsters Fenrir (‘The Mighty Norse Wolf,’) and Jormungandr, (‘The Midgard Serpent.’) The Aesir Gods feared these three children due to their monstrous parentage, and prophecies of the chaos that they would wreak on the Norse cosmos. In order to contain the problem, Odin sent each of the children to a place where they could do the least harm. In the case of Hel, he sent her to Niflheim, one of the Norse lands of the dead, and gave her jurisdiction over the realm. (Hamda Al Fahim Spring 2019 Haute Couture Collection)

Norse Mythology
ig: @sunshine.writing
As with every culture, there are many different interpretations and I tried my best to use the most popular ones. There are also many different versions and spellings for the names of the gods and goddesses, but I used the anglicized and most popular spellings.
Aesir and Vanir
The Norse gods are divided into two families, the Aesir family, and the Vanir family. The Aesir family is the larger of the two and is mostly connected with war and government and includes the gods Odin, Thor, Loki, Baldr, Hodr, Heimdall, and Tyr. The Vanir family includes the fertility gods and goddesses such as Njord, Feyr, and Freyja. Both families reside in Asgard but don’t see eye-to-eye as shown through the Aesir-Vanir war.
Besides the Aesir and Vanir, there are also female deities known as Disir, Alfar (elves), Jotnar (giants), and Dvergar (dwarves).
Aesir Gods and Goddesses
Odin - Odin was the King of the Aesir clan and known as “the father of all gods.” He’s depicted as a one-eyed, bearded old man wearing a hat and a cloak. He was said to have slain the first being known as Ymir before carving up his body to help create the Earth. He was one of the most powerful and revered of the gods and associated with wisdom, knowledge, healing, death, and war. He also ruled over Valhalla.
Thor - Son of Odin, he was regarded as the strongest of all the Norse deities because he was tasked with safeguarding Asgard. He was the most popular of all the gods and worshipped by most Vikings. He was the god of thunder and lightning and wielded the Mjolnir. He rode a chariot drawn by two massive goats called Tanngnjostr and Tanngrisnir.

Dwarves - Also known as dark elves, they’re small creatures that originated as maggots from the corpse of Ymir. In certain myths, they’re portrayed as turning to stone if exposed to sunlight.
Draugar - The Draugar are the undead. Some myths describe them as creatures who drink blood, they’re more similar to zombies than vampires. They possess superhuman strength and can increase their size at will, but have a constant stench of decay and appear as a dead body. They often live in their graves to defend the treasure they were buried with but can also enter communities to torment those who wronged them in life. They’re said to be able to enter the dreams of the living to torment them, and would leave behind a gift so the victims knew the encounter was real.
Elves - Elves are separated into two different types; Dokkalfar, or dark elves, and Ljosalfar, light elves. Dark elves are thought to be the same as dwarves and light elves are described as more beautiful than the sun. They’re generally described as having an ambivalent relationship with humans.
Fenrir - Fenrir was the son of Loki and the giantess Angroboda. He was raised by the gods of Asgard to stop him from wreaking havoc across the nine worlds but the gods ended up deciding to chain him up. It’s believed that when Fenrir breaks his chains to get his revenge, it will lead to Ragnarok, the end of the world.
Fossegrimen - Also known as the grim, he’s a water spirit who plays the fiddle mimicking the sounds of the forest, wind, and water. He can be bribed to teach his skill with an offering that he deems sufficient. He’s also known to lure women and children to lakes and streams where they drown.

They lure young, unmarried men into the forest and keep them as slaves, lovers, or sometimes they’ll suck the life out of them.
Jormungandr - Also known as the Midgard Serpent, Jormungandr is another child of Loki and Angrboda. He is a snake or dragon that lives in the sea surrounding Midgard. He is described as an enemy of Thor and during Ragnarok, the two are fated to slay one another.

Valkyries - The female helping spirits of Odin, depicted as elegant maidens who ferry the slain to Valhalla. Their name means “choosers of the Slain”, which hints at their more sinister side, the fact that they also choose who lives and dies in battle. They would sometimes use malicious magic to ensure their preferences.
Sleipnir - Odin’s mighty eight-legged horse is the child of Loki and Svadilfari. It had eight legs so that it could have one leg in each of the Norse worlds.
Mare - The Mare monster gave people bad dreams at night by sitting on them in their sleep. Often they were witches whose souls took the forms of animals, but normal people, particularly adolescents, were also thought to become Mare when their spirits wandered. It was believed that when the Mare touched a living thing, people, cattle, or trees, it would cause their hair to become entangled.
Trolls - There are large ugly trolls that dwell in forests and mountains, and small gnome-like trolls that live underground in deep caves and caverns. They’re depicted as not very intelligent and malevolent but can show kindness in exchange for a favor.

Niflheim - The realm of fog and mist. It’s the darkest and coldest region of all the realms. It’s one of the first two realms and is placed in the northern region of Ginnngagap. Hvergelmir is located in Niflheim, which is said to be the source of the elven rivers. As Yggdrasil started to grow, it stretched one of its large roots far into Niflheim to draw water from Hvergelmir.
Muspelheim - The land of fire. Muspelheim was created at the same time as Niflheim but was created far to the south. It’s a burning hot place filled with lava, flames, sparks, and soot. It’s the home of the fire giants, fire demons, and is ruled by Surtr.
Asgard - Home of the Gods. The most commonly known realm, Asgard is located in the middle of the world, high up in the sky. It’s the home of the gods and goddesses and is ruled by the chief of Aesir Odin. Inside the gates of Asgard is Valhalla, the place where half who die in battle will go for the afterlife and the other half go to Folkvangr.
Midgard - Home of the humans. “Middle earth” is located in the middle of the world below Asgard. Midgard and Asgard are connected by Bifrost, the Rainbow Bridge. It’s surrounded by a large, impassable ocean that is occupied by the Midgard Serpent. The first two humans were Ash and Embla and were sent to Midgard after being created from tree logs by Odin and his brothers Vili and Ve.
Jotunheim - Home of the giants. Jotunheim consists mostly of rocks, wilderness, and dense forests, and lies in the snowy regions on the outermost shores of the ocean. There is no fertile land in Jotunheim. Jotunheim is separated from Asgard by the river living which never freezes over.
Vanaheim - Home of the Vanir. Nobody knows where exactly the land is located or how it looks.
Alfheim - Home of the light elves. Alfheim is located right next to Asgard in heaven. The god Freyr is the ruler of Alfheim.
Svartalfheim - Home of the dwarves. Svartalfheim means dark fields, and they live under the rocks, in caves, and underground. Hreidmar was the king of Svartalfheim until he was killed.
Helheim - Home of the dishonorable dead. Hel is where the dishonorable dead, thieves, murderers, or those the gods and goddesses feel are not brave enough to go to Valhalla or Folkvangr. Helheim is ruled over by Hel and is a very grim and cold place. Any person who arrives at Helheim will never feel joy or happiness again.

Hi! Do you have any all time favorite Loki fics you would recommend?
Omg there are way too many good Loki fics to put all my favorites here! I can give you a couple really good ones that come to mind tho. And there's tons more in my fic rec tag.
The Sinking Feeling of Anticipation by JaggedCliffs (words: 8,624 | rating: G | Gen)
When Æsir come of age, they receive a gift from their parents, one meant to aid them in their adult lives. When a prince of Asgard comes of age, their gifts are not just for themselves, but for the realm.
Loki watched Thor receive Mjolnir at his coming of age ceremony – one of the greatest weapons in the realms, for one of its greatest warriors. Now, it's Loki's turn, and he knows Odin will grant him something just as magnificent.
Won't he?
Ichor in Violet by tirsynni (words: 14,574 | rating: T | Gen)
When Thor learns that Loki can travel to other realms without Heimdall seeing, of course he convinces Loki to take them both to Jotunheim to hunt Frost Giants. There an accident unravels centuries of lies and threatens to unravel Loki, too.
Exsanguination by Lise (words: 8,610 | rating: T | Gen)
exsanguination /ex·san·gui·na·tion/ v.intr. To be drained of blood. (And all the rest.)
Chaos War by astolat (words: 34,203 | rating: E | Thorki)
It was never easy to find Loki when he wanted to hide, but he wasn't doing a particularly good job of it at the moment. Probably he didn't think anyone from Asgard would be wasting their time hunting for him while the shining ones churned their way steadily through all the realm.
Loyalty at Any Price by seidrade (words: 22,663 | rating: E | Thorki)
“This whole time, I’ve been searching the Nine Realms— alone— for answers to questions I barely know how to ask. I thought Heimdall at his watch, our father upon the throne, and most grievously… I thought you lost to me forever.” Thor’s resurgence of anger gives way to something like despair. He can’t tell whether he wants to pummel Loki into one giant bruise, or hold him and weep like a child.
When Thor returns to Asgard and exposes Loki’s deception, his demands for answers and Loki’s reluctance to give them soon bubble over into a cathartic confrontation.
If I let you catch me by Lunik (words: 6,361 | rating: T | Norse mythology setting | Norse mythology canonical character death | Some unrequited Thor/Loki undertones)
So it goes like this -- Loki angers the gods, and then he runs. There is only one man in all the realms who can catch him with the wind at his heels. Naturally, he and Thor are the best of friends.
That Sheds His Blood With Me by Kadorienne (words: 12,541 | rating: G | Gen)
"Because you are my brother," Thor told him.
(Politics and family on Asgard. A brotherly love story.)
Some Kind of Monster: Being a Tale of the Captivity of Thor Odinson After the War with Jotunheim by illwynd (words: 16,001 | rating: E | Thorki | CW: Dark Themes)
Thor, prince of Asgard, is captured during the second war with Jotunheim, and he is sent to Laufey's youngest son to be broken.
Born to be Kings by Kadorienne (words: 66,618 | rating: T | Thorki)
When the princes of Asgard made their ill-fated jaunt to Jotunheim, Odin arrived to fetch them before the frost giant grabbed Loki's arm. Odin was able to carry out his plan to make Loki his puppet king of Jotunheim. But how long will Loki remain an obedient puppet?
drown my woes in a lake of fire by Lise (words: 15,386 | rating: T | Past Frostmaster | CW: Dark Themes)
Loki is back with Thor and (nominally) free of the Grandmaster. This does not mean all the problems are resolved.
No Return by illwynd (words: 1,331 | rating: G | Gen | CW: Major Character Death)
Thor deals with the aftermath of loss and choices, when half the universe is gone.
And it's played on a table? by Lunik (words: 1,431 | rating: T | Gen)
There is no flyting in this game of "Table Tennis".
The Spaces Between by Lise (words: 10,866 | rating: T | Gen)
There's a theory that goes that there's a universe created for every possible choice you make in life. Loki's made a lot of choices. He could make a lot more.
Or, the one where Loki wanders through AUs of his life and it starts fucking with his head.

Ok so I have four theories about Loki's parentage
1. Laufey + Farbauti = Loki
Pros: Farbauti is one of his parents in the comics and Norse Mythology.
Cons: Assuming Farbauti is Laufey's official consort, why would Laufey leave his heir unattended in the Temple (according to Thor 1 Odin) or abandoned on a frozen rock (according to TDW Odin, damnit old man get your story straight!)? Why wasn't he kept in the royal castle and guarded like you'd expect for a future heir? No evidence that Laufey even has a consort in the MCU. Doesn't explain how Odin knew the random baby he picked up was Laufey's.
2. Laufey + unknown lover (possibly non-Jötun and/or of common birth) = Loki
Pros: Doesn't contradict anything in the films. If Loki isn't full Jötun, explains why his Jötun form is smaller and looks different from the other Jötnar we see on-screen. Laufey may not have been aware that his lover was pregnant or if he did assumed that she and the child had died during the chaos of the final battle. Explains finding him in the Temple or abandoned on a rock. The latter can be explained by shame or stigma of an illegitimate or unwanted child. As for the former, while you'd expect royalty and nobility to barricade themselves in castles or fortresses, the common people would often run to Temples or Cathedrals for refuge in times of war (they're big so they can accomodate a lot of people, their construction is robust and solid and they typically don't have many entrances so they are moderately defensible).
Cons: Doesn't explain how Odin knows Loki is Laufey's kid.
3. Laufey + Hela = Loki
Pros: Explains the uncanny resemblance between Odin's firstborn daughter and the adopted Jötun. Explains size and appearance of Loki's Jötun form. Explains how Odin knew Loki was Laufey's, and gives a reason for why he would want to raise him as his own.
Cons: Timeline issues. Might explain abandonment but not being in the Temple. Assuming succession by absolute primogeniture, Loki is actually heir to the Throne of Asgard ahead of Thor.
4. Laufey + Odin = Loki
Pros: Same as in the Laufey + Hela = Loki theory. Odin is actually not lying when he says Loki is his son.
Cons: None that immediately come to mind.
