It is not the most showy content at the moment though....but soon!#I have made more spritesheets + wrote a 20 page script for the beginning of the game + lots of mechanical stuff.#OOH and our main town has a map and I've hammered out most of the major character designs!#(I have a comic I will share later this week about how character design talk in a team setting has been going so far.)#This gif is to share a little bit of whimsy and joy with you all. Because we are having so much fun!#Fanart like this is great for practicing a new medium! Also very few people would care to see my custom windowskins.#(This gif is pre-custom windowskins sadly. #helen by maria edgeworth #is equal parts slog and wild ride #i can see why this would have been popular in jane austen's time #but it's exactly why it's dated now #all these upper-crust people talking about current literary figures and customs #flinging around french all the time #compare that to austen's middle-class country people #who live in a different culture than us but have a lot of the same normal daily problems #also austen's pacing and dialogue are so much better #the number of times characters stop to expound upon some philosophical point!#just in the course of daily conversation!#this story's fun enough for what it is #(digging the 'love triangle' where one of the guys is just going after the girl because the other guy annoys him)#but while i can see why austen might have enjoyed edgeworth i hope she knows she was the better author

#i made poor choices on Stitch but worked with what i had #my art #ooak doll #doll custom #also in case you cant tell Stitch and Seam are siblings/made by the same guy and Pupet was made by another character entirely #which is why they look so different #Stitch and Seam were made to be flawless living porcelain doll creations so theyre fancy and ornate #and pupet is just a living ragdoll made out of necessity for a daunting task but still loved thats why hes more homespun #rotating the lore of stitch in the ditch in my mind #also dont mind that the story is called stitch in the ditch despite a character being named stitch #its not about him falling into a hole #its just about fun sewing wordplay

#ask #catboygirljoker #boe #boe tai marrow #my art #my characters #huh? wuh? who goes there #no but seriously. its just the D-Sides logo overlaid where it usually is on my normal icon #it felt kind of empty/weird without it so that's why i have it on the flags #might be a little strange but i liked how it looked #attempted to incorporate the flag into the logo itself but couldn't for the life of me get it to look comprehensible #and like i couldn't use the ace flag as a pure background because it blends too much with boes colours #so i had to do a custom design with the flags to get a nice shape that works well behind boe #honestly took me all day to figure out #i think my previous attempts did look cool. but again. kinda incomprehensible in icon form. due to the amount of small shapes in the logo #or.... the d-sides cover. not logo. anyway #also wow its been a while since ive actually drawn boe. so he looks a little messy. or. messier than usual when i draw him #granted i think he turned out pretty well despite how long its been #especially had to touch up some final adjustments. with the eye shapes and the irises #but anyway!!! thank you for tha ask :)#had a lot of fun with this joke

now that i'm playing dragon age: veilguard i understand hbomberguy so much better. think i could probably do a 3.5 hours long video called "dragon age: the veilguard is FINE and here's why"

#the writing in dragon age has Always been a bit clunky it's part of the charm #but yes there are sections in DAV that made me go “oh nooo”#but no it isn't as bad as people say #the mechanics are fun idc. it's bad that my new laptop can run all of BG3 fine but becomes laggy as hell in any city location in DAV tho #companions r generally charming and they're all professionals so it makes sense they're less prone to big fights than say DAO morrigan #but yes i do miss having a bit more tension in the party sometimes #the character creator is great for dudes but yea it would probably b cool if it were possible to have curvier bodies for those who want tha #but no it isn't literally impossible to make good-looking rooks. it's quite easy actually #and like yeah you can't have wildly out there body types but it's pretty cool that you can be a geralt type a twink or chubby as a dude #(i play male characters and have only done the female cc once for a custom f!inquisitor so i have more experience w that one)#the qunari also look. fine? the antaam don't look too soft or anything so far #the majority of complaints against this game were stupid and not rooted in anything real #BUT!!! i don't love it #solas continues to be a highlight #lucanis is great so far and i love neve #neve's voice acting is amazing #she manages to make some very disappointing lines sound good #but..... i can't pretend the writing *isn't* awkward in places #d'meta's crossing stands out to me as a pretty bad case of overly direct storytelling #(spoilers) talking to the mayor was deeply disappointing! he just TOLD rook what he did and why. it felt so anticlimactic #especially bc the imagery in the village was striking and grotesque #but there didn't feel like there was any payoff #other sections have been great #but DAV just feels like it completely lacks subtlety at times #the other DA games haven't always been masters of show dont tell but this section felt like a first draft #like someone was working out the story and didn't have time to polish the script at all before the voice actors were called in #idk it really stands out to me as bad #also yeah it's noticeable that you don't really get to do evil things. at least not yet
