Welcome back to my incurring series of
What F1 Driver resembles any Animal Crossing creature? woo 🎉 PT. three!
(I saw a user do this with animal crossing villagers @/wintergreenoreo // (I don’t wanna ping them) but make sure to check them out as their post is good!)
(⚠️Yk the drill all for fun and giggles anything I say is no hate to the drivers ⚠️)
/ But today our victims people are these four
/ Basically Ferrari/Mercedes edition LOL alright let’s get started
/ First off the king himself Sir. Lewis Hamilton as the Banded Dragonfly
/ For starters the dragonfly is one of the fastest in the game and really hard to catch, but I mean LOOK AT ITTT NEON GREEN AND BLACK, ITS LEWIS COLORED
/ Following the bugcedes crew is George Russell and the Banded Dragonfly’s smaller cousin, the Damselfly
/ Unlike the Lewis (The Banded Dragonfly) flies away fast and far when near, the Damselfly isn’t always a fast one but still skittish like any dragonfly. Also the neon blue and black perfect like Lewis.
/ First on the Waterrari crew is Charles Leclerc and he’s a Crawfish
/ I mean look at it the innocent look on its face, just like Charles innocent and borderline thoughtless (maybe scary at times when devious). And then the facial hair is Charles crawfish whisker’s sniffing the pond he was fished from
/ Finally on our list is Carlos Sainz Jr. and he’s the Red Snapper
/ Cmon the complexion and features on his face represent on the Snapper. (I’m a Carlos enjoyer please don’t kill me) And then the red is what represents Ferrari and then the Chili joke as well fits the vibe too and he’s a bit salty and petty like the Snapper found in the sea. 😭
/ Welcome Charles and Carlos to the dead looking fish/water creature crew club in the ice box at the fish market featuring Max Verstappen the Catfish and Logan Sargerent the Cherry Salmon 💀
/ Alright that’s enough yapping for tonight BYEEEEEE

THE BAND CLUB!!!! (MY ANIME CLUB OCS!)
-
INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHARACTERS!! (LEFT TO RIGHT):
Laurelle, THE Gal
-
LEADER/PRESIDENT OF THE CLUB.
> Guitarist, Lead Vocalist
- Is usually a cheery, supportive, and fun girl to be around with. Usually has band sessions close to where the Anime Club's at. Avid Weezer fan. Though given the fact that she's nice to some people (most especially her friends/closest friends), she absolutely DESPISES the Anime Club. Let's say her band's having their rehearsals, and THEN the Anime Club would be, I'unno, blasting random anime music. Who does Laurelle despise the most in the Anime Club? Mort. Definitely Mort. She gets into arguments and banters with that lil fella occasionally, also poking fun of their weeb behaviour. Gets a weird feeling around him sometimes, makes her spine shiver with the thought of someone watching her from afar (Mort). Finds either Mark or Dave interesting. Oh right, Clyde and Laurelle are childhood friends. She's chill with him. Probably the only Anime Club guy she tolerates (aside from Dave). I could say she's part of the student council and sometimes tries to get the Anime Club in trouble.
》 LIKES: Seals (Harp, specifically), Playing music, Weezer, The Ergs!, Blur, Her special violin, Videogames, her friends, her pet maltipoo named Daisy, LOVESSSS Rivers Cuomo (80's-ish era with his BOWLCUT!!)
》 DISLIKES: Any insects (Yes, ants too), dirty areas, The Anime Club, Mort
Oliver, THE Striker
-
VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE CLUB
> Drummer
- Sanest of them all. Very into SOAD or Korn. He's really chill! When it comes to the Anime Club, though, he doesn't mind them. Just finds them weird sometimes, usually with the Japanese terms/words they use so randomly. Probably dislikes Mort too, he finds him greasy. (Mort slander but I love Mort. . . I DON'T EVEN CARE!!) He's a very skilled drummer too! Probably gets along with Dave reaaaal well. He can also play the guitar! But prefers drumming 'cause he likes the thrill of it.
》 LIKES: Moths, Drumming, his friends/bandmates, beaches, sweets, other Metal Bands, being quiet
》 DISLIKES: Clingy girls/fangirls, whenever the band is sometimes not following the right tempo, not being in the right tempo whenever he drums, losing his drumsticks, whenever Erick is being annoying
Erick, THE Don Juan
> Guitarist, Backing vocal #1
- He.. Um. All I can say is, FREAKY. Probably gets the girls too. Doesn't care what people think of him, just as long as he feels himself and is having fun with what he does. Probably bullies the Anime Club with Laurelle. They're almost like siblings!! He's insecure about his braces though, but he can't help himself to smile with his teeth. With the Anime Club, yeah, he makes fun of them. He also likes picking on Clyde mostly because he's usually the sensitive one, but Laurelle catches him doing so and just scolds him for picking on her childhood friend.
》 LIKES: Women, his guitar, any music, picking on Clyde, making fun of the Anime Club with Laurelle, petting his dog, online dating (occasionally), his fans, comics
》 DISLIKES: Mint Chocolate Chip Icecream, The Anime Club, "Weird" girls, catfishers
Nolan, THE Nerd
> Bassist, Backing Vocal #2
- Nerdiest of the three. Loyal follower of Laurelle. He gets along with ALL of the Anime Club members. In fact, he sometimes hangs out with them. Turns into a shaky jittery mess whenever he gets confronted about something he's done/generally just gets shouted at randomly. Sometimes Laurelle asks him to disclose secret embarrassing information from the Anime Club members for blackmail, but Nolan politely declines. He's scared of Erick for some reason. Maybe it's because of how he's so easygoing and extroverted. Likes reading novels or any educational books in general, mainly Science with biology. Despite his geeky look, he can actually sing good! Bravo, Nolan!
》 LIKES: Books, Singing, Making up basslines, Giving Laurelle for chord ideas or melody ideas, Anime, Talking about his interests
》 DISLIKES: Confident/Out-going people, Crowder Areas, Pornography (He gets shy and probably wees himself due to being too flustered.), Getting wrong answers, No one listening to him ramble, Getting yelled at

Raising hell
Sorry for the delay im so busy rn 💔
Pt.10
Plot: decisions made and feelings shared
Warnings: drug misuse
The next say you get pulled to a room stu and doc had booked out in the hotel to have a meeting with you and nikki. You sit down nervously as they all look at you like they are disappointed, the silence deathly apart from the clock that ticks sound oddly loud “is.. everything okay?” You ask nervously “you ruined my set.” Doc, nikkis manager says with a tone of frustration “you cost me thousands, we got fans complaining that our show was disappointing!” He slams his fist down on the table, you glance to nikki who sits with a smug grin “doc, im sorry.. but only to you, nikki deserved it-“ “you sound like a child!” Stu buts in, you feel attacked, glancing to nikki as if he will give you support“this is so fucking childish, do you understand? We can get a fine for this shit!” You lower your head, ashamed and embarrassed. “Who could press charges?” You ask, nikki speaking up “me.. you fucked up my equipment and sabotaged me” he shrugs “nikki..” you trail off.
“But.. i either dont press charges.. send your band home or i do press charges” he smirks, glad he has so much control over you for once. This is exactly what he wanted, he wanted to make you squirm and beg for mercy. You needed your band on this tour, its the only way you were going to make it and he knew that. You pleaded with your eyes “i think you should pack your bags” nikki shrugs “n-nikki.. nikki.. please” he shakes his head, standing up, your head darts to your manager who shrugs like he cant help you.
Desperately, you follow nikki into the hall, your eyes tearing up “nikki please.. please dont do this” you grab his hand and he turns to face you “sue me.. if you have to do anything, sue me but dont make my band suffer for what i done” he scans your face, feeling guilty.. he was going to wait untill you were about to go home to drop any charges or grudges and telling you to stay but seeing you so upset pulls his heartstrings alittle.
“God dammit” he groans, looking away, not wanting to be soft but he couldnt lie about the soft spot he had for you “nikki please” you sniffle, he turns to face you again, lifting his hand up to your cheek and wipes away your tears with a stone cold face “fine. Stop crying, ill forget about it” your eyes wide alittle in relief but you dont trust it, making sure hes not fucking with you “s-seriously?” Nikki nods, rolling his eyes “yes.. dont fuck with my stuff again.. got it?” He moves his hand off your face, wiping the tears off onto his shirt “i promise, i wont do it again” he turns to walk away “thankyou so much” you make sure to get in before he leaves, he smiles to himself but keeps walking.
Later you go to the club with mötley crüe and whitesnake, you stay with your band but the singer of whitesnake, david coverdale asks you to dance. You dance with the English man as he whispers in your ear “i over heard nikki talking” he whispers “yeah?” He nods and moves his hands to your hips, you try to squirm but you wanna hear what he has to say “yeah.. he wants you bad, he was telling tommy that he really did have feelings and to back off with the fat comments” your face goes alittle red, glancing to nikki who sits watching you and david dancing with eachother with a murderous look. “Id go talk to him before he slashes my throat” david laughs into your ear “thankyou david” you kiss his cheek and head to nikki who sits at the other end of the club.
“What?” He snaps “charming.. thought maybe youd like some..” you pull your teeshirt down to expose the baggie of coke in your bra, a smile spreading along his face as you both head to the bathroom. “So.. you and david?” Nikki asks you set out the lines “you cant just stick to one guy, you need to fuck the lot?” You roll your eyes and snort a line “no.. nikki, david was telling me that i had to come talk to you” nikki bends over and takes a line “yeah right.. he had his hands round your waist” “yeah.. he did but it meant nothing, he wanted it to look like he wasnt telling me to talk to you” you both go silent and sit on opposite sides of the small bathroom, facing eachother. “Why do i still have these feelings for you..” he narrows his eyes at you but softens his gaze alittle “i dont want to.. i wish i didnt but.. god dammit nikki you just have a pull to you” you crawl to him and his face goes red as you land in his lap.
Instead of doing the usual, winding your hips on him like your a professional dancer, you cuddle him close, taking in his disgusting yet sweet smell “out of anyone in this world you could like.. its me” he whispers, his large hands sliding up to hold your face into his neck “ive been such an arsehole to you.. do you have any self respect?” You smile softly “no.. i dont think i do”
20 minutes pass, nikki and you sitting on the disgusting bathroom floor, his muscular arms wrapped around your body as he presses gentle kisses on your head from time to time.
Two weeks later you and nikki have became just like a couple but its not official, you spend most nights in his room while he sleeps on your chest.
“Nikki..” you whisper, stroking his long black hair softly, he rubs his face further into your chest and hides, not wanting to wake up “nikki, we have a show” he shakes his head, you can feel him smiling against your skin though “i dont wanna get up” he muffles against your skin.
Hes got a certain childlike charm about him that really just catches your eye, you can feel yourself falling in love with him everyday but every time you try to tell him the depths of your feelings it never seems like the right time.
“Nikki” you follow him after his show, hes panting and smirking, unable to hear you from the noise of the crowd still cheering “nikki!” You say alittle louder and he turns round, smiling wide “sweetheart! I was looking for you!” He hugs you, getting sweat all over you “ew!” You laugh and squirm away “listen i need to have a serious talk-“ “id love to but im getting interviewed, bye!” He just walks off fast.
It was always like he knew it was coming but didnt want to face it, you didnt mind. What you had was comfy and sweet, you couldnt bear to lose it but the tour is ending in a week, your running out of words, not sure when or what to tell him.

Reading Festival (Dad Van)
Words: 2.2k
You take the kids to watch their dad perform at Reading Festival ✨
Dad Van Masterlist Main Masterlist
🎸 You try to keep life as normal as possible for the children growing up which is easier said than done considering their dad's career.
🎸 Since you and Van started a family he's cut down on touring considerably, finally finding that work-life balance he struggled with during his early twenties.
🎸 Touring still takes him away from home for weeks at a time though, and especially over the busy summer festival season.
🎸 Van FaceTimes every day whilst he's away, but even with seeing his face on screen and hearing his voice, Grace and Leo are missing their dad terribly by the time Reading festival rolls around.
🎸 "So... I've been thinking about driving down and coming to watch you at Reading this weekend," you tell Van over the phone. He's excited but when you add "with the kids" his enthusiasm wavers.
🎸 "You know how much I'd love that babe, but I'm not so sure. I just don't think Reading festival's the place for little 'uns really."
🎸 "Come on Van," you reason with him. "Loads of families go to festivals, it's no big deal. You know how much they love music, even little Leo. And Grace won't stop watching the TRNSMT video on YouTube over and over again. She's been begging me to take her to see you on stage, and Reading's the last show of the summer for you."
🎸 Van's quiet for a moment whilst he mulls it over. He's so protective of the kids. It borders on over-protective at times, and his next comment proves this. "I'm still not sure love, it's so bloody loud... and all those people... there's thousands... they'd get crushed!"
🎸 "We're not gonna be at barrier or in the mosh pits silly!" You laugh. "We'll be side of stage, nice and safe, and I'll get the kids some of those big ear defenders. It'll be fine, stop fussing!"
🎸 So there you are on a glorious summer's day in late August, making your way through the crowds with your very excited kids. Grace is decked out in proper festival style with bright pink wellies, flowers in her hair and glitter on her face and Leo's wearing a little bucket hat and shades. Both are wearing Catfish t-shirts specially customised with 'Daddy's Tour Security' on the back and you just know Van's going to be delighted.
🎸 He bounds over immediately when he sees you all entering the artists' area and there are hugs all around. "There they are, my little fan club! My two favourite girls and my main man!" Leo gives him a little fist bump.
🎸 "Daddy I can't wait to see you on stage... you're like the biggest superstar in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD!" Grace stretches out her tiny arms to demonstrate.
🎸 "Oh I don't know about that Gracie," Van chuckles. "There's much bigger stars here, Arctic Monkeys are headlining tonight and they're massive! I saw Alex Turner earlier... he was standing right next to me and I almost lost my shi......"
🎸 Van cuts off abruptly as you glare pointedly at him, quickly rephrasing his sentence. "Uhhh... I nearly lost my cool, that's it... cool!"
🎸 Leo reaches over from your arms, plucking off his sunglasses and placing them on Van's face. "Daddy cool, Daddy cool!" He giggles, clapping his hands.
🎸 Van's hyper as he takes you all on a tour of the artists' area back stage, and you try not to appear starstruck as you get introduced to some of your favourite bands.
🎸 "I'm guessing I don't need to tell you who these guys are!" Van says as you all enter the hospitality tent and you feel your heart thumping in excitement as you come face to face with Eli, Rob, Josh and Ryan. "This is my missus Y/N, she's got your records on all the time, reckon she's a bigger fan than Catfish!"
🎸 You get a hug from all the Inhaler boys, your cheeks flaming scarlet as Grace loudly announces "Mummy, isn't that the man that you've been looking at pictures of on your phone?" whilst pointing straight at Eli.
🎸 Josh takes a shine to the kids, producing a pink cowboy hat with sequin trim which he places carefully on Grace's head. "Don't tell Eli I've given you that, it's his but I think it looks much better on you!"
🎸 Grace is over the moon with her new hat. "I'm never taking it off... ever! Not even when I go to bed!"
🎸 Van pronounces her the Queen of Reading festival and Rob and Ryan devise some silly coronation ceremony to 'crown' her. She's delighted with all the attention.
🎸 "Yer not gonna trade me in for a younger model, are ya?" Van sniggers as you step away from the Inhaler boys in search of some lunch. "I don't think it's me you need to worry about!" You laugh as you realise Grace isn't moving away with you and you turn around to see her tugging on Josh's jacket, not wanting to leave him.
🎸 Van has a meltdown when he spots Alex Turner again across the other side of the hospitality tent. "It's mad ain't it? He's just standing there eating chicken like a normal person!"
🎸 "He is a normal person!" You laugh, but Van's having none of it. "He's a genius! He bloody wrote Cornerstone!" You love the way he still gets starstruck when he comes face to face with one of his idols despite his own level of fame. His goofy 'uncool-ness' is one of the most endearing things about him.
🎸 Van's nervous about getting hassled by fans and would rather stay in the artist's area until Catfish's set but Grace begs her dad to come and watch Inhaler who are due to play in fifteen minutes. "Daddy you've got to come, you're way taller than mummy and I want to go on your shoulders.... I'll have a much better view... PLEASE!"
🎸 You're wary that a tantrum might be brewing but luckily Van relents when Larry turns up in a golf buggy to transport you all over to the main stage. "Thought we could travel in style!" He grins.
🎸 Van's in awe. "Ahh mate where did ya get that from? Bet ya nicked it off security didn't ya? What a legend!"
🎸 The kids immediately burst into cries of "Uncle Larry you're the best!" which is their usual response to seeing him. You all climb on to the hijacked buggy and you have to close your eyes most of the way as Larry swerves through the crowds, almost taking out a group of festival goers with his reckless driving. Only Larry could make travelling in a golf buggy a risky venture.
🎸 The Inhaler boys put on an amazing show and you're having the absolute best time dancing and laughing with your family. Leo is up on your shoulders and Grace is perched on Van's and you and your daughter are screaming out the lyrics at the tops of your lungs.
🎸 "Hold on a minute," Van shouts over the music, pretending to look dismayed. "How come I never hear you singing my music like that Gracie?"
🎸 Grace shakes her head, giggling. "Because your music's full of naughty words and mummy would tell me off if she heard me singing them!"
🎸 By the time the band are ready to go on stage everyone's excitement has reached monumental levels, especially Van who's so full of energy he looks like he's going to pop if he doesn't get out there soon. You've missed seeing him performing, before the kids came along you were always side of stage for shows.
🎸 You make sure the kids' ear defenders are in place just in time for Helter Skelter to blare out and it's a good job as the music's so loud you can feel the bass thrumming through you. Bob, Bondy and Benji give the kids high fives as they walk past and Van gives everyone a big hug and a kiss.
🎸 The crowd erupt into deafening screams, whistles and cheers as the lads emerge on to stage and your heart swells with pride. Even though they've not quite made it to the headline slot yet you know they'll make it one day. You recall watching them play the BBC Introducing Stage back in 2013 when you and Van had just started dating. Now there's tens of thousands of people out there all eager to see them play.
🎸 Leo's squirming around in your arms chanting "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" You have to hold on to him tight or you know he'll be making a break for it and toddling on to stage. Luckily Larry is there next to you to help distract him.
🎸 Grace is having the time of her life, shouting out the lyrics and playing air guitar. She's obviously been watching Van's performances closely as she's got his stage movements down perfectly.
🎸 The boys are playing a blinding set but you can't help worry that Van might lose his focus as he glances over at you regularly throughout. He only messes up the lyrics once during Hourglass but the fans are there to fill in for him and he beams over at you with a look of pure happiness. Hearing the fans singing his lyrics so passionately gets him every time.
🎸 You're a little overcome with emotion yourself, a stray tear escaping which Grace doesn't miss. "Why are you crying mummy, I thought you loved this song?" She throws her arms around your waist, hugging you tightly.
🎸 "That's why I'm crying sweetie," you tell her, stooping down to plant a kiss on her head. "Me and your dad wrote the lyrics together when he was touring a lot and I was missing him. It just reminds me of those days."
🎸 All in all the lads pull off a pretty seamless performance, dropping an atmospheric transition from Glasgow to Rango just as the sun starts to dip below the horizon. The fans are euphoric, the band haven't played Glasgow outside of Scotland in forever.
🎸 By the time the opening bars to Cocoon ring out Leo's fast asleep in his buggy but Grace is still going strong. "Forget it if they talk!" She cries out with gusto and you're thankful for the clean radio edit of her favourite song.
🎸 You and Van had argued many a time about whether Grace should be allowed to swear when singing his songs, Van's stance being that it would show her the importance of only using bad language at appropriate times as she grew up. You weren't happy with his controversial suggestion though. "Van... she's only five... no way!"
🎸 "Thank you Reading, we are Catfish and the Bottlemen, it's been an absolute pleasure!" Van shouts out his farewell line and you're expecting him to turn and walk off stage with the rest of the band but he lingers there, huge grin on his face as he looks over at you.
🎸 "She's probably gonna kill me for saying this but there's a few very special people here to watch the show tonight, Y/N, Grace and Leo!" You stand there in shock, frozen to the spot. This is unprecedented. You look out across the sea of faces in the crowd who are all cheering and going crazy, craning their necks to catch sight of the three people who Van dedicated the band's most recent album to.
🎸 You shrink into the shadows, overcome with embarrassment. Van's right... you are gonna kill him!
🎸 Before you even know what's happening Grace is slipping out from her spot between you and Larry and running on to the stage, arms held out wide as she barrels towards her dad who scoops her up into his arms.
🎸 The collective "AWWWWW!" from the crowd is deafening. A group of girls at the barrier are in floods of tears, recording the touching moment on their phones. Van looks fit to burst with pride as your eyes lock and you think you've just fallen in love with him a little more. Maybe you can forgive him after all.
🎸 Unfortunately Van's momentary lapse in concentration gives Grace the opportunity to grab hold of the microphone. Most kids would probably be overwhelmed at being on stage in front of such a mammoth audience but not your daughter who's inherited an over-confident and wilful streak a mile wide from her dad.
🎸 "Fuck it if they talk!" She croons into the mic, her note-perfect angelic voice ringing out across the stunned crowd. Van's jaw goes slack in shock as he snatches the mic out of her hands and quickly scuttles off stage with her in tow. The fans are going absolutely wild. They didn't even scream this loud when the band first emerged.
🎸 "Shit... am so sorry love, I wasn't expecting that to happen!" He blurts, looking at you sheepishly. Grace is grinning like a Cheshire Cat and the rest of the band are bent over double in fits of laughter. You note Bondy giving your daughter a surreptitious thumbs up.
🎸 It's quite obvious that Van thinks you'll be incensed but you actually think it's hilarious now the shock's fading away. You still manage to glare daggers at him for a few moments just to make him sweat before you break into laughter.
🎸 The next day your daughter's stage debut has gone viral and has practically overshadowed the band's phenomenal performance. It's possible that Catfish's already huge fanbase might have doubled overnight.
🎸 Van's overjoyed. "What did I tell ya love? I always said she had star quality. Takes after her dad ya know!"

I don't really have anything new today (this cold hasn't been helping any writing). Have this snippet of with my heart in my lap that you've definitely never read before.
The rear door opens, allowing Twyla to maneuver inside while showing off the deep cut V that comes to a point halfway down her back. Alexis clutches at the underside of her thigh, nails digging crescents into the flesh to prevent herself from reaching forward. So she isn’t further tempted to trace the expanse of bare skin, or spontaneously press a kiss to every visible freckle. A wave of emotions crashes over her, making her want to call the whole evening off. To keep Twyla to herself so she doesn’t have to share. But, as much as Alexis wants to, that’s not a decision she's entitled to make. “Hi.” Twyla’s greeting comes out breathy and light. The single word seems to float between them, fluttering across the space, gentle and delicate. Like something Alexis could catch in her palm and tuck away for later. “Hey,” Alexis manages to answer. “You look… beautiful.” Except Twyla is so much more than that. Beautiful doesn’t scratch the surface of how stunning she is. She should be photographed or, better yet, immortalized in a painting. A rosy pink settles high on Twyla’s cheeks as she mumbles thank you and shyly averts her gaze. But then she tilts her head, looking at Alexis as though the rest of the world no longer exists. There’s a haze of sadness in her eyes when she adds, “You look like you’re going to break a lot of hearts tonight.” Alexis pushes away the immediate ache that settles in her chest, fairly confident the only heart breaking tonight will be her own. The rest of the ride to Elmdale they gossip about who’s coming out tonight, whether Roland and Jocelyn will be asked to leave for inappropriate dancing, and generally buzzing about the idea of an up and coming band performing so close to them. Street lamps begin dotting the landscape, situated closer and closer together as they approach the edge of town. Cars and pickup trucks converge in slow moving traffic leading to The Quarter Note. When Alexis spies the electric blue sign at the front of the club, an idea begins to form as she peers at the long lines of vehicles. “C’mon.” She grabs Twyla’s hand, pulling them both toward the door. With her free hand Alexis grasps the handle, tugging it open. “Lex! What are you doing?” Twyla giggles behind her, scooting across the seat. The sound sends a thrill through Alexis, making her feel like she’s on top of the world. “Getting us there faster!” They hold onto each other like a lifeline, fingers interlaced as they weave through the maze of vehicles, ignoring the horns blaring as they cut through. People glare and mutter under their breath as they make it to the sidewalk, laughing and breathless. Alexis can't care what anyone says though when Twyla is squeezing her arm, head thrown back and eyes shut tight, voice ringing out like a bell. Unwilling to separate herself for longer than necessary, Alexis holds out her arm, offering it for Twyla to take. She does, slipping her hand through Alexis’s elbow and connecting them together. Alexis enjoys the way they fit like two puzzle pieces. Like a sign that this is how they should be.

REVERSE RTC AU IDEAS
Talia's song would probably be like Mischa's 'Talia', but I imagine it would have much more of a hip hop vibe like This Song Is Awesome because that's what connected her to Mischa in the first place
Astrid would either have a duet with Hank if I keep him in, or she would have a sort of fever dream type song that's inspired by what I know of her original song, which is honestly not a lot.
Corey would probably keep his rap battle against himself thing with the funhouse mirror because I think that's funny as fuck
I think instead of a choir they'd be some kind of club or something, maybe something to do with theatre or music- like a band
I'd imagine it'd be in a small town too. Probably a fictional one.
The others are like 99% convinced Mischa is catfishing Talia because his backstory seems fake to them because of the whole forging the birth certificate, being sent to Uranium, living in the basement of his adopter parent's house
I think it'd be funny if there was another precognition machine but there was a different animal. So instead of a rat or something, it's like a particularly annoying crow or something
I think Astrid and Talia would be besties, but they both fucking hate Corey.
Corey has beef with Mischa despite thinking he doesn't exist because they both have youtube channels called bad egg and want to be rappers
Feel free to help me decide who the other members of this rollercoaster accident would be!

Album Review: Jimi Hendrix Experience - Jimi Hendrix Experience: Hollywood Bowl August 18, 1967
Five days before Are You Experienced was released, the Jimi Hendrix Experience opened for the Mamas & the Papas at the Hollywood Bowl. The music they played that evening was thought to have wafted in to the ether, never to be heard again.
Fast-forward 56 years and, lo and behold, the music was captured on a two-track recording and is now out as Jimi Hendrix Experience: Hollywood Bowl August 18, 1967. While it is historic and deserves to be released, Hollywood Bowl is also an album for diehards only.
Sonically, the recording would never merit official release unless the artist had died more than a half-century ago, or the performance was particularly important. This passes both of those tests, but the music leaves much to be desired.
Between songs, bassist Noel Redding does almost as much talking as guitarist Hendrix, a reminder that the Experience was a band. Hendrix, meanwhile, dedicates most every song to everyone, save for the set-closing “Wild Thing,” which goes out to U.S. and British soldiers returning from Vietnam.
The nine-song, 45-minute set begins with a sloppy rendition of “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” a preview of the fact that while Redding, drummer Mitch Mitchell and of course Hendrix were masterful players, synching up wasn’t always high on the agenda. “The Wind Cries Mary,” is a balladic exception; however, Hendrix forgets a significant chunk of the lyrics.
Hendrix sings lead like Hendrix - not good, but passable, given Hendrix also plays like Hendrix. But Redding’s backgrounds - from the comical whispers on “Foxey Lady” to the out-of-tune and out-of-time additions to “Fire” and “Purple Haze” are simply amateurish.
But Hollywood Bowl is still relevant, given it captures a pre-fame Hendrix playing Howlin’ Wolf’s “Killing Floor,” Muddy Waters’ “Catfish Blues” and Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone” before an unsuspecting audience of Cass Elliot fans. So while it’s not a particularly strong album on musical merits, it is doubtless an important one.

Album Reviews: Jimi Hendrix Experience "Hollywood Bowl: August 18, 1967" / Scream "DC Special"
Jimi Hendrix Hollywood Bowl: August 18, 1967
Another year, another Jimi Hendrix Experience release just before the holiday season! Since beginning this blog, I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing loads of Hendrix albums including the posthumous album Both Sides of the Sky, the 50th anniversary Deluxe Edition of Electric Ladyland, the 50th anniversary re-release of his live album Band of Gypsys, his live box set Songs for Groovy Children: The Fillmore East Concerts, the live album and movie Live in Maui, 2021’s Record Store Day release Paris ‘67, and last year's Los Angeles Forum: April 26, 1969. This week Legacy is releasing a never-before-released (or bootlegged) live album of the Jimi Hendrix Experience's concert at Hollywood Bowl just before they became famous with Hollywood Bowl: August 18, 1967.
album cover
At this concert, the Experience were opening for The Mamas and the Papas. Attendees were mainly there to see the headliners. Jimi Hendrix Experience's debut album Are You Experienced would be released in the U.S. five days later on August 23, 1967 (it had been released in the U.K. on May 5, 1967). By this point, the band had played a legendary show at the Monterey Pop Festival and opened for The Monkees. This is literally the moment just before they got famous. The trio were bigger than the sum of their parts: Hendrix on guitar, Noel Redding on bass, and Mitch Mitchell on drums. There were quite a few songs from Are You Experienced, but there are also loads of covers including favorites by The Beatles (“Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”), Howlin’ Wolf (“Killing Floor”), Bob Dylan (“Like a Rolling Stone”), The Troggs (“Wild Thing”) and Muddy Waters (“Catfish Blues”). A live album would pretty much be enough to please a lot of fans, but this one is cool because it's not some overly-bootlegged concert so there's a sense of discovery, but also the covers make this feel like you're getting something new and different. There's nothing like hearing a band the very second they became famous and here it is!

Scream DC Special
Bursting out the DC hardcore punk scene in the 80s was the legendary Scream. The Reagan administration gave the Washington DC punk community quite a bit to rant about in the 80s and Scream were among the biggest of that whole scene, along with Fugazi, Bad Brains and Henry Rollins (the list, of course, goes on). In my friend Scott Crawford's 2014 documentary Salad Days about the DC punk scene in the 80s, he interviewed multiple members of Scream. Singer Pete Stahl and his brother / guitarist Franz Stahl, bassist Skeeter Thompson were a tight knit unit with original drummer Kent Stax. After Stax left the band in 1986, his replacement was teenage drummer Dave Grohl, who truly brought it. I was a big fan of the band's albums No More Censorship and Fumble and I have them in my record collection. After the band broke up (as we all know), Grohl joined Nirvana and brought that punk energy he honed in Scream to the masses. The Fumble album had been recorded in 1989 but was finally released in 1993. There were a few reunions here and there and Grohl has continued to work with the members of Scream (i.e. Franz was in Foo Fighters from 1997-1999). In 2009, the original lineup of Scream reunited and they even recorded with Stax on drums at Grohl's Studio 606 for an EP. But we haven't actually had a studio album from Scream since Fumble, which was 30 years ago. This week, Dischord Records is releasing DC Special featuring the original lineup. In September Stax died at age 61, making this his final album with Scream.
album cover
With the Fumble album it felt like the band was really evolving. The punk sound was there, but there was also a post-punk sound coming through. With all of their collective outside projects, i.e. Franz in Foo Fighters and DYS, Pete and Franz in Wool, Pete in Goatsnake and Earthlings?, Skeeter's solo work, etc - this band is way more than just an 80s punk band. This album incorporates a lot more styles and even some melodic tendencies. It's a nice full circle moment that this album got recorded with Stax before he died and that Grohl made a guest appearance. There's loads of other DC punk veterans appearing here including Dischord Records founder and Fugazi / Minor Threat singer Ian MacKaye. This is album is a treat for fans and enough to make you want to, well, scream!

A peak into my college soundtrack, just for funsies!
I’ve been listening to a lot of the music I listened to in college from around 2013 - 2016 these last few days, and while some of you may know me as a midwestern emo connoisseur, it was college and I was experimenting with new sounds! (Also, there weren’t many notable midwestern emo releases during this window worth noting aside from Modern Baseball and Mom Jeans, imo) The sounds of a lot of the bands I loved during college have matured and shifted with time, there is something about the sound from a decade ago is so comforting and nostalgic and essential to the core of my existence. And if you’re wondering exactly what kind of music college me was listening to that could have altered my brain chemistry to the point of shaping my current personality, please read on.
2013 gave us AM by the Arctic Monkeys, The 1975’s debut AND The Neighbourhood’s debut, Paramore’s self titled album, Melophobia by Cage The Elephant, Wolf by Tyler, The Creator, Random Access Memories by Daft Punk, and both Lorde’s debut album, Pure Heroine AND Haim’s debut album, Days Are Gone, and Chance’s Acid Rap just to name a few. All in ONE YEAR. But this wasn’t just any year to me, it was my FRESHMAN YEAR of college. You just know with a soundtrack like this I was making awful decisions.
And how can 2014 follow up an act like that you might ask? With none other than Lana Del Rey’s Ultraviolence, which kicked off the whole “2014 core” aesthetic and inspired many a teen to pick up cigarette smoking for the first time. And, as if we weren’t depressed enough at that point, 2014 also gave us Hozier’s self titled debut. That year we also got Catfish and the Bottlemen’s debut The Balcony, Salad Days by Mac DeMarco, The Growlers’ Chinese Fountain, SZA’s debut album, Glass Animals’ debut album ZABA, new J Cole, Courtney Barnett’s debut album, Modern Vampires by Vampire Weekend, Childish Gambino’s Kauai, and so much more.
2015 came in hot with a new album from Lana Del Rey, and Halsey’s Badlands that sent every manic pixie dream girlie absolutely spiraling and Tumblr has still never fully recovered from it. That year we also got Art Angels by Grimes, Currents by Tame Impala, To Pimp a Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar, GO:OD AM by Mac Miller, Depression Cherry by Beach House, a formal introduction to The Weeknd’s haunted strip club sound with his album Beauty Behind the Madness, Tove Lo’s debut album, a second Courtney Barnett album, new Twenty One Pilots, and new Florence and the Machine.
Lastly, 2016 brought us Mitski’s Puberty 2, a second The 1975 album and a second Catfish and the Bottlemen album, Skin by Flume, Blonde by Frank Ocean (we all cried SO much), new music from The Growerlers, Chance’s album Coloring Book, Post Malone’s debut album, Khalid’s debut American Teen, Starboy by The Weeknd, How to be a Human Being by Glass Animals, Awaken, My Love! by Childish Gambino, Rihanna’s ANTI, Views by Drake, and Lemonade by Beyoncé (which took another 3 years to release on Spotify and Apple Music).
In my opinion there has not been, musically at least, a finer time to be a college student trying to figure out the world around them on their own for the first time. That being said, I did need years of therapy after college to work through some of the trauma I inflicted on my own life, which was greatly fueled the music I was listening to at the time.
TL;DR: Don’t do anything mentioned in The 1975’s songs while your brain is still developing unless you already have a therapist lined up. But even then, you probably shouldn’t.

Wed 4/10
Had to hunker down at Creole Gardens most of the day due to tornado / flash flood warning in New Orleans! Weather cleared by late afternoon, at which point we took the funky old tram to Bourbon Street to begin our exploration of the French Quarter. Had cocktails at the Hideout Bar and delicious oysters at the Pier 424 Seafood Market along the way to the Spotted Cat jazz club on Frenchman Street, just beyond the French Quarter. The restaurant suggested to us for dinner was closed (due to bad weather?), so we listened to a fabulous traditional jazz band on the street, complete with megaphone for vocals! Cornet player / vocalist and banjo player were particularly good! Had dinner at the Snug Harbor Jazz Club. We listened to a terrific big band playing in the adjoining concert hall while we feasted on gumbo, fried green tomatoes, shrimp and catfish. After this we went back outside to listen to our new favorite jazz band on the street until they wrapped up for the evening, and then went into the packed Spotted Cat club for drinks and listened to another great jazz band with a bawdy female vocalist/leader. Took Uber back to our hotel. A great first day in the Big Easy!

HEAR: Indie Rock | Psycho Social Club - “We Don’t Talk”
Psychic Social Club, the up and coming Naarm/Melbourne-based four-piece, bring a surge of indie rock melodies with their latest single “We Don’t Talk” out now. Consisting of frontman Jared Roscioli, guitarist Simon Farrelly, bassist Chris Baxter, and drummer Luke Bratchford, the tenacious foursome have been making waves in the local indie music scene, and ‘We Don’t Talk’ is a tsunami. Influenced by massive Australian names including Spacey Jane, The Vanns, and Bakers Eddy, the local indie rock inspiration shines through the track, with a swell of fuzzy guitars and rippling vocals. 'We Don't Talk' surges with passion through its driving rhythm section and soaring chorus. The tune is a cathartic unbottling of emotions; a meditation on past relationships that have run their course. With chant worthy lyrics and an anthemic chorus, 'We Don't Talk' provides a therapeutic release of words unsaid. Frontman Jared said of the story behind the track: "’We Don't Talk’ is a reflection on past relationships that faded when I moved interstate as a 17-year-old. It seems like a lifetime ago, but I still reminisce on those lost connections and consider how things might be different in an alternative life if I stayed where I was or just tried harder to hold on to them." Christened a “mega infectious… big balloon of pop-rock” by Triple J’s Declan Byrne, Psychic Social Club has established a name within the local band rooms of some of the city's most iconic venues. This four-piece have been hard to miss, supporting local acts The Velvet Club, St Emerald and Strawbz, as well as playing sold-out shows at The Workers Club, The Catfish and Last Chance Rock and Roll Bar. Iguana Death Cult – “Pushermen” (Video Premiere)
Today I’m thrilled to share with everyone the new single and music video from rock band, Iguana Death Cult, called “Pushermen.” With a sound that strays somewhere between the indie rock of The Strokes and the craftsmanship of pub rock bands like Catfish and the Bottlemen, this band checks all the right boxes. On their video, the band shared, “‘Pushermen.’ It kind of sounds like an action movie doesn’t it? Sadly we came a couple of million short, so Hache came with the idea to do a casting video for a fictional film called: ‘Pushermen.’ The scenes we did were loosely based on the movie ‘Superfly.’ If you know, you know.” The track comes from their new LP, Echo Palace, out everywhere music is sold on May 12th, and I was also able to catch up with Iguana Death Cult for a brief interview below. What inspired this new track, and why did you choose it as a single off the record? This song just kinda formed in front of our eyes while we were messing around at my kitchen table. It was after curfew during the lockdown and we were locked inside my home, jamming and having discussions on the growing polarization we saw not only in the media, but also in our own environment. We were playing different melodies that clicked all of a sudden. Since there wasn’t really a perspective on the future for us as musicians, someone joked we’d be better off working in big pharma, so we had our chorus. A chorus that ends on the more serious note that we don’t want to become victims of these times. Can you describe the writing and recording process? We never write in the same way. Most often, someone comes up with an idea for a song and then we work it out all together. In this way every band member adds a bit of flavor to the song. Our recording process is pretty standard. Most songs are 95 percent done when we enter the studio and we always have some room to experiment with some song parts and other instruments. How did the video come to be, and can you provide some behind the scenes details? Since the name of the song could be a title for a dodgy over the top action movie, we had the idea to do a casting video. We recorded it at ‘Theater Walhalla’ which is a classic location in Rotterdam. It used to be a club in the old harbor district where my grandparents used to go dancing so that made it extra cool. --- Please consider becoming a member so we can keep bringing you stories like this one. ◎ https://chorus.fm/features/iguana-death-cult-pushermen-video-premiere/
