He awakes before sunrise.

His phone lights up from his bedside table, vibrating as it announces the start of his day.

Tenn is used to this schedule, so his current concern is to stop the alarm before it wakes the one sleeping next to him.

You. His lover.

As much as he’d claimed before that his lover are his fans, he knew you were the one he truly, fully, loved romantically.

And you knew it too. Your boyfriend made sure perfection tinted every display of affection he graced you with.

For all the smiles he offered on stage, you both knew his most genuine ones always happened when it was just you and him.

Like the one he gives you right now, even if you’re not awake to see it.

You’re laying on your side, facing him, one of your hands on top of the pillow he just left empty. Your chest rises and falls in tune with your breathing, your lips gently tilted upwards in a tranquil smile.

You look so… carefree right now, your scrunched up eyebrows when you were anxious or stressed, fully relaxed now.

With all the gentleness he can muster, Tenn brushes some stray locks away from your eyes, leaving the sweetest kiss to your forehead.

Then, he picks up a baby pink piece of paper from the block you have on your room’s vanity.

In neat handwriting, he scribbles:

As much as he knows he has to give his 110% at work and to his fans, Tenn looks forward to coming home to you later.

With a last look your way, he quietly closes the room’s door.

He better hurry, the sun will rise soon.

♡ OSAKA SOGO

Osaka Sogo always does everything five minutes before the scheduled time.

That, of course, includes waking up.

On work days, however, the moment is always tinted in muted violet shades of melancholy: he wishes he could cuddle by your side for a little longer; get to see your pretty eyes when you wake up next to him; give you a proper good morning kiss.

But he knows you’re okay with things being like this.

“So, you finally have a life of your own, one that you fought for, dear… This is your path to make, so give it your all, and please rely on me or on your friends when you’re troubled.”

Those are the words you told him once, when he apologized for not spending more time with you once MEZZO started getting more work.

However, no matter how busy he was, Sogo always managed to reserve time for you. As if those minutes he saves to be early had been contained inside a pocket in time for you two to meet before the day ends.

He had spent the night at your place, despite knowing he would have to wake up earlier to make it in time for work.

As carefully as he can, your partner leaves your bed, neatly pulling the covers snug around you. Gently, he takes your hand, brushing his lips against the back of it with the delicacy of lavender blooms.

Using a page of a notebook he had on his bag, he writes:

“Dearest [Y/n],

By the time you wake up, I will already have left for practise with the rest of the group. I’m sorry I couldn’t stay longer, let’s go on a date on my next day off, yeah?

— Yours, Sogo.”

Tucking the note over the pillow he left empty (and made sure to fluff up previously), he turns off his alarm clock.

Still one minute left until it was supposed to go off.

Pocketing his phone and grabbing his bag, your boyfriend exits your apartment, a longing look in his hyacinth colored gaze when he glances towards your window once he’s outside.

He hopes he can be back next to you very soon.

♡ IZUMI MITSUKI

No matter how silent he tried to be, you always noticed when your boyfriend left the bed.

The sun may not be out yet, but the lack of Mitsuki’s warmth next to you was enough to rouse you from your peaceful dreams with him.

“Mitsu…” You mumble, yawning, sleep clinging to your lids, as you desperately try to keep them open.

He’s already sitting up on the edge of the bed, his back to you, vibrant orange strands a little messy.

Hearing you calling him, your lover turns around.

“[Y/n], lovey, it’s still early.” Mitsuki says softly, as he tucks you back into bed, his hand squeezing yours for an instant. “Rest for a little longer, okay?”

“But I want to cuddle you��” You pout, eyes already closing in exhaustion.

He chuckles, planting a fleeting kiss to your lips.

“Tonight, yeah? I’ll be back soon.”

“Promise me…” You trail off, unable to finish the sentence before exhaustion has already taken you into dreamland once more.

Mitsuki chuckles, whispering: “I promise, baby.” As he rushes towards your kitchen. Obviously he’s not leaving without making breakfast for you!

A bowl of your favorite fruits is arranged perfectly, as well as an assortment of pancakes with cute decorations, and a mug of steaming coffee.

Your boyfriend sets everything on the kitchen table. A quick glance at the clock lets him know you’ll have to wake up soon as well.

He leaves you a note:

“I hope you’ll like breakfast, my [Y/n] ♡

See you tonight, I promised, even though I’m not sure you heard >///<

As you take the first sip of a coffee that’s just perfect to your tastes, you clutch his penned words to your chest, smiling fondly at how precious your partner is.

There were not many places Riku could sleep at, due to his respiratory issues.

However, he always felt at ease at your house.

For obvious reasons, it would have been problematic for you to be spotted by the media showing up at his dorms at night.

So it was often that you two met at your place instead.

You kept it extra clean, putting away anything that could worsen your boyfriend’s condition.

Sometimes, IDOLiSH7’s center felt bad that you had to go out of your way for him, but you always assured him you didn’t mind, and that in fact, you were happy to do this for him.

“Riku…” You called him softly, a hand playing with his hair as you faced those puppy eyes of his. “I like doing this for you, okay? There’s nothing I wouldn’t do to help you achieve your dreams and keep you safe, so please, never feel bad, my dear.” You told him that time.

Your caring words cross the idol’s mind now as he wakes up, making sure not to disturb you. He feels a little sad he can’t say good morning to you personally, so he’ll leave you a note.

Turns out you already beat him to it, having gone to bed a bit later than him last night.

“Riku, take care today! Give it your all, but don’t exhaust too much, please.

Don’t forget your scarf, and remember to take your medicine.

Your boyfriend’s cooking, the comfy atmosphere with his friends, spending more time with him after busy shifts at work… It felt like sunbeams warming your back, the pleasant feeling enough to transport you into honeyed dreams.

And of course, his cuddles. As midnight ticked by and you found yourself protected in Ryu’s warm embrace, akin to a blanket of clouds at golden hour.

That made mornings all the more hard for you and for him, who couldn’t be by your side to greet you good morning.

Kazuha x KomiShouko!Reader

As you can see, I Stan Kazuha, because this is the second time within a week that I'm writing another Kazuha headcannon post. Sorry about that! Also I know I'm posting a lot of Character x different anime character!reader stuff but I always find these types of posts so interesting so I just had to make my own. But don't worry, I'll be posting normal posts soon.

(just like the Childe x Shinobu!Reader series, I'm making this a series too! So once again, stay tuned)

Kazuha x KomiShouko!Reader part 1 :

How you guys meet

Kazuha was simply strolling around Inazuma, of course considering how he's a fugitive, it's a bad choice to go wandering around Inazuma. But at this point, he didn't seem to care, as much as he disliked the region, he wanted to see the Sakura trees just once.

When strolling, he noticed a tiny voice talking. Thanks to his good hearing, he could make out what this voice was saying.

"Why can't I do it? Why is it so hard for me to utter even a single word?"

Cant even utter a single word? How sad...

Kazuha decided to listen in a bit more, maybe he could find out what's going on

"Even though I got the thing I wanted, I ended up getting more than I wanted. Why? Did he find me weird? Maybe he thought I was weird and wanted me to go away, so he gave me a bunch of stuff so I could never come again?"

Maybe they're mistaken

Kazuha slowly emerges from the trees, silently hoping that this person doesn't think of him as a stalker

"hello there" he quietly says, trying not to scare you, regardless it still startles you. You drop your small cat plush that you seemed to have been holding a few seconds ago

"ah, apologies, but I heard you talking. You seemed troubled so I thought I could talk to you." Kazuha said, trying to sound comforting to hopefully soothe your stressed self. But he was only greeted with silence. You slightly panick, trying to find something

"hm? Is there something you would like me to help find?" Kazuha asks, wondering why you won't talk to him. Just as he was going to help, he saw you take out a notebook and quickly scribble some words into it.

He watches patiently, anticipating what you are going to do. You show the notebook to him, hiding your face in the process. On the notebook it reads:

"I appreciate the help, but I'm good" although Kazuha doesn't really think so, if you say you're okay, then he'll leave you alone. Just as he was gonna open his mouth to say something, you flip the notebook onto the other page. Kazuha reads it, it says:

"but actually, do you mind if you could buy a cat plushie. I had promised my dad to get one, yet I could only get one... And those other plushies" Kazuha looks at the pile of stuffed animals sitting next to you and chuckles

"I can see the seller must like you a lot. Alright then, I'll help you" He watches in amusement as you quickly put your notebook away and attempt to carry all the animals. Unfortunately, one tiger plush ended up dropping to the floor. As you crouch to try to pick it up, an elephant plush drops. Then as you try to pick that up, a leopard drops onto the ground until eventually, every single animal plush is on the ground again. Your on your knees, looking as if you're about to cry. Once again, Kazuha chuckles

"there, there, I'll help you. Leave the carrying to me, I can handle it" your eyes sparkle, and you quickly bow down to thank him. Kazuha finds your actions very cute.

As you both walk to the shop, Kazuha couldn't help but wonder why haven't you uttered a single word? But the longer you walk to the shop, the more he starts to understand.

Maybe she dislikes talking? No, if she dislikes talking then she wouldn't have wanted me to help her in the first place. As well, it seemed like she really wanted to talk to people. Maybe she can't talk? But how is that possible? Is she mute? No, she was slightly shrieked when I approached her. And she was talking to the stuffed animal beforehand. So... What could it be... Ah! It has to be... Does she have a communication disorder?

But before he could say anything about it, you tapped him on the shoulder and pointed at shop selling plush. He smiles at you and places the stuffed animals down

"wait here" he quietly says and approaches the seller.

"hello, I would like to buy a cat plush"

"of course! That would be-" the seller suddenly stops, Kazuha turns his head to see you. Your holding a wallet, which he assumed was your wallet, when he looked back at the seller, the seller was shaking.

"wh-what? You're back? Did I not give you enough? I gave you every type of plushie we h-have" he stutters, he's clearly intimidated by your gaze. Which further proves Kazuha's theory. Kazuha looks over his shoulder to see you very sadly take out some mora and nervously handing it to Kazuha. Kazuha sighs as he hands it back to you

"I'll pay for this" he says, as he turns back to the seller

"sir, what's the price?" kazuha asks quickly

"f-five moras" the seller stutters as you hang your head to avoid eye contact

"alright here you go"

"h-have a n-nice day.. hope t-to nev- I mean, hope to s-see you again" the seller slowly stutters as Kazuha picks up the stuffed animals again and you hug the cat plush gloomily. As he looks back, he notices several people admiring something. He averts his gaze to what the people were staring at, only to find himself looking at you. People were admiring you.. He takes a closer look at you, and quickly realized why everyone was admiring you. You were beautiful. The most prettiest person he had ever seen. Your hair was silky, your skin was porcelain and your eyes were beautiful. Everything about you was perfect. But Kazuha simply turned his head forward, it's not like he really cared about looks anyway.

You two go back to the spot you first met and sit down. You look at the floor, embarrassed to make eye contact with Kazuha. While Kazuha looks out at the sea.

"The ocean is truly beautiful. Don't you agree?"

Kazuha says to break the silence, not knowing what to say. He looks back to see you writing on your notebook, turning the notebook to show what's on it:

"yes it is." You quickly turn to the other page

"by the way, thank you for helping me buying and carrying the stuffed animals" using the notebook, you're blocking your face, once again embarrassed to meet his gaze.

"ah, it's no problem. I'm happy to help"

As you two continue talking (actually Kazuha's doing all the talking, you're just writing on the notebook) Kazuha starts to enjoy your quiet nature. Since you can't talk, the conversations between you two are calm and peaceful. This is a lot better than being on the ship Kazuha thinks. Especially at night when the crewmates are drunk.

He is taken out of his thoughts when you suddenly start scribbling things down, you show your notebook:

"actually, I haven't gotten to know your name" Kazuha widens his eyes, how rude of him!

"apologies, looks like we were to busy chatting we forgot to introduce ourselves. My name is Kaedehara Kazuha, a wanderer that roams the land" after introducing himself, Kazuha smiles seeing how your face lights up after hearing that he's a wanderer.

"What about you? What's your name?"

Very quickly, you scribble your name down in big letters, turning the notebook around to reveal your name.

"y/n." Y/n that's a nice name

"what a beautiful name, it's nice to meet you y/n" Kazuha says smiling as you turn your notebook around

"nice to meet you too"

OH SHIT SORRY FOR TAKING SO LONG SDFSDFJKD this is. 3.5k words roughly and im so sorry idk why my fics always come out longer than 1k words :((( <3 under the cut so i dont clog ur dash AHAi hope u enjoy :)

The first time you meet Kozume Kenma, he’s hiding behind the wall that is Kuroo Tetsurou and you’re both in your first year.

“Oh?” The Nekoma volleyball captain stares you down in the Chem class you share with him. “You’re [Surname]-san, right?”

“Yeah,” You say, never breaking eye contact with him but secretly eyeing the quiet boy behind him. He’s your classmate in a few other of your periods, but not this one. This class is an advanced Chemistry class, placing you conveniently with the second-years and a handful of equally smart first-years. “I need help with the homework and you’re my best bet. Could you help out?”

Kuroo narrows his eyes at you, which you don’t exactly appreciate but you don’t say anything. “You sure you don’t want me to just give answers?”

“I kinda need to understand this to pass the class, so no thanks.”

He hums in approval, like you’ve passed some test, and nods. “Sure thing. I wanted to teach Kenma this anyway.”

Oh, that’s his name… you think to yourself, and you noticed the mentioned Kenma doesn’t look up from his Nintendo Switch, even at the mention of his name. You watch Kuroo turn around to his companion, coercing him, “Kenma, get up, we’re learning Chem.”

“Can’t we do it later?” Kenma’s voice doesn’t hold anything akin to bitterness or complaint- it’s kind of devoid, actually, in a soft and cute way- and you try to tune out the sound of Kuroo scolding him but he’s so loud when he’s right next to you.

“C’mon, we’re about to go home now, we can stay after school a little longer. Plus, we get to teach this lovely lady about nuclei.”

“I’m right here, you know,” you roll your eyes lightly but before you know it, you’re defending Kozume-san. “We can always work it out, um… I dunno, maybe over lunch on Sunday? I mean, it is Friday and this thing’s due Monday and… we can have more fun studying this if we have food.”

Stupid fucking Kuroo only grins. “Oh, so you’re asking me on a date? Kinda bold, if I don’t say so myself, kouhai-chan.”

“Kuro, stop.” Kenma speaks up and his quiet voice somehow speaks volumes. “We can meet with her on Sunday to do it.” And just like that, he retreats to his Switch without another word.

Kuroo turns to you and shrugs indifferently, contrasting his previously provocative and shitfaced attitude. “The man’s laid down the law. How’s boba on Sunday sound?”

The second time you meet Kenma is on that promised study session.

He has inconspicuous earbuds in, his face illuminated by the glowing light of his DS. He has a DS, too? He still looks cute.

And there’s Kuroo of course, but he’s irrelevant to your case unless it has to do with your god forsaken chem homework.

“You want me to go order some drinks next door?” Kuroo quirks an eyebrow. “My treat.”

“Just a brown sugar milk tea, thanks,” You tell him gratefully. Thank god for men and their dead sense of chivalry.

“No boba? You’re crazy.” Kuroo scrunches his nose at you and you wish Kenma would start talking so you could avoid this big, annoying cat. “What about you, Kenma? Your usual?”

“Yeah,” is all Kenma says.

“Alright, see you nerds later,” Kuroo practically sings out, patting both of your heads like an old man, and takes something from Kenma that you don’t quite catch, but it makes Kenma glare at him.

As soon as Kuroo’s out of sight, you find it a little awkward to keep conversation with Kenma especially with his whole gamer complex, but-

Oh.

Kuroo took Kenna's DS.

“Kuroo-san’s pretty bothersome, huh,” you sigh out in an attempt to stir conversation. Lucky for you, Kenma goes along with the conversation without fight, his eyes peering over you like reflective pools of honey.

(They’re really pretty, you think.)

“Yeah,” Kenma slouches down a little bit more in his chair at the mention of his taller friend. “He’s kind of like my second mom… but not really. Always nagging me to do things.”

You laugh at his solemn, depressed answer. “It’s fun to have him around, though, right? He’s kind of funny sometimes-- the rest he’s annoying-- and he’s decently smart even though I’m pretty sure he’s got, what, three braincells.”

To your unprompted delight, Kenma laughs softly at you poking fun of Kuroo, and the conversation between you and him starts piling up into more, and more, and it all feels so short. You don’t even notice Kuroo coming back and hovering over the table.

“Eh? You and Kenma getting along without me? What a shame, you know. I really do get third-wheeled.” Kuroo lets out a wistful sigh akin to an old man and sits down, drinks in hand. “So, who’s ready to study?”

The third time you meet Kozume Kenma, it’s at your mall’s arcade.

You and your friends are playing one of those claw machines, trying to get that really cute Miku figurine and those adorable plushies, wasting all your coins on these sucker games like the dumb teenagers you are. But a glimpse of familiar, two-toned hair catches your eye.

“Hold on,” you tell your friends who’re still busy trying to get that stupidly gorgeous Sakura Miku figure. “I’m gonna be right back.”

You wander your way to the familiar head of hair, and gratefully, your instinct was right. “Kozume-san? What’re you doing here?”

Kenma practically jumps at the sound of your voice, turning around, eyes wide. “Oh. I just got lost from the team. You’re here too?”

“Mhm,” You smile, pointing at your screaming group of friends. “My friends and I are here just to chill out and have fun. You can hang with us if you want!”

He shakes his head, his hair gracefully framing his face. “Nah, I’m fine, thanks.. I’ll just hold out until Kuro sniffs me out or something.”

You furrow your brow- geez, this kid’s gonna get lost so fast-- and you gently clasp the phone he’s holding in his hand. “Can I give you my number? I’ll pick up immediately if you ever call, just give a ring.”

You fail to notice the surprise that flits over Kenma’s face, but he reluctantly hands you his phone and you tap in your number quickly. “See you around, Kozume-san. Don’t get into trouble.”

And Kenma smiles on his own accord, his face lighting up softly like a lamp under moonlight. “You too.”

The fourth time you meet Kozume Kenma, he’s at your house working on an Japanese Lit assignment.

“Oh? Kozume-kun!” You’re pleasantly surprised when your teacher pairs the two of you up. “Nice to talk with you again.”

“Yeah, “ Kenma blinks a little awkwardly and he shyly grins, which you find even more stunning than it already is because he’s usually held up such a calm, unaffected facade. “Uh. So do you want to meet up at… your house for this? So we can do the project.”

“Oh, yeah,” You wave dismissively, beaming at him because this is your chance to get closer with him. “My little brother’s a nuisance, though, so he might bother us. I hope you don’t mind?”

“No problem.. you can text me the address, because… yeah.” You find it cute how Kenma doesn’t want to mention that the two of you have been texting a lot more lately, and the slightest blush tints his cheeks.

“Of course!”

Flash to your house, the two of you are on the floor, slaving over a giant posterboard with paint and art supplies scattered about.

“I hate making movie posters, it’s so tiring…” You groan out, trying to paint Yukio Mishima’s face with the utmost care. “And this book’s so creepy… why would we wanna make a poster of it? He commits seppuku!”

Kenma grins a little bit and he looks really cute, with his hair tied up in the back and his gaze focused on the painting at hand. “You’re so easily grossed out.”

“But he made it so detailed! You're immune ‘cause you play all those gross horror games.”

He laughs quietly, and you think you're going to heaven. “You couldn't even handle Ao Oni, stop.”

You scowl at the mention of Kenma’s dumb horror games. “He’s this weird deformed grape, okay?? It was kinda scary!”

The two of you end up nowhere near finishing your poster, and you collectively decide to put it off for maybe another day. The rest of your day is spent-- c-cuddling? (no hetero, you reassured Kenma, although you were thinking otherwise)-- and playing more horror games, much to your chagrin.

(But it gave you a reason to hug Kenma tighter.)

You can’t even count the amount of times you’ve met up with Kenma now. You’re in your second-year of high school now and your bond with him as only strengthened.

He invited you eventually to walk to school with him, along with Kuroo, and you find out that it was Kuroo’s coaxing to do so. But you’re still delighted that Kenma agreed on, what, the second time Kuroo nagged him about it?

You and Kenma have gotten fairly close. You’ve vented to him, cried to him, he’s shown his emotional side, too. You’ve even gotten a little closer to Nekoma’s god, Kuroo Tetsurou (to which your friends always complain about- “you can’t take all the cute guys for yourself”). But, in your opinion, the most important part is that you’ve been getting closer to Kozume Kenma, who you once thought would always just be the quiet classmate to you. Who would always be your unattainable, close-guarded crush.

"Kenma!” You yell out, rushing over to him with your backpack practically bouncing off of you with each step. “Wait up, would you?! How do you get out of class so quick??”

 "I was waiting for you either way,” Kenma mumbles and hunches his shoulders together. “Do you wanna go to my house? I have new games and Kuroo won't be bothering us.”

“Can’t we get snacks first?” You know you sound a little bit whiny, but you’re hungry as fuck, and Kenma’s smiling either way.

“I guess.. you’re paying, though.”

“That isn’t fair at all!”

Eventually the two of you walk to your nearest 7/11 and get chips and snacks before leaving promptly, with you holding your chocolate milk and Kenma sipping apple juice. The walk to his house is full of conversation, Kenma equally engaged as you are. But as soon as you arrive at his front doorstep, the hollow noise of an empty apple juice box makes its appearance.

“You drink your juice too fast!” You tease Kenma lightly as he frowns, unlocking the door.

“You just drink too slow,” he replies and shoulders the door open. The two of you make your way inside and flop onto the couch, Kenma crouching near the TV to boot up his newest game. “Damn. I’m still thirsty, too.”

“Language, Kenma,” You chide him, throwing a pillow at him as soon as he sits down next to you on the couch. “And-” it takes every ounce of your willpower not to turn bright red. “-do you want some of my chocolate milk?”

The silence that follows is very short (probably only, what, a second or two?), but it feels like hours of painful quiet. Kenma blinks at you and the pink that dusts his ears becomes more and more prominent each second.

“Yeah… sure,” Kenma finally says and you beam so wide that you’re sure not even the sun could battle the brightness of your happiness right now. You hand him your nearly untouched chocolate milk and his fingers brush against yours as he takes it, sipping at it cautiously like he was afraid something would happen.

(Oh my god he’s so cute.. he looks so cute… he’s drinking my chocolate milk!! He’s so-)

“Oi, Kenma! My mom told me to pick up some tomatoes from y-” The door bursts open to reveal Kuroo Tetsurou.

You freeze, since Kuroo just witnessed you passing a chocolate milk box to Kenma and the latter sipping at the straw. Kenma kind of flushes, his mouth still wrapped around the plastic straw with chocolate milk halfway up.

“Eh? Sharing drinks now?” Kuroo tsks and shakes his head, a smirk gracing his stupidly arrogant face. “You know, you two could get mono. Or any other communicable diseases. Kinda risky, you know?”

“Kuroo, stop!” You’re wildly embarrassed to be caught in this not-so-platonic situation (in your opinion, at least), before Kuroo lets out a hearty laugh.

“You know, that’s an indirect kiss!”

“Didn’t I say stop?!”

“Ah, youth. Indirect kisses! You put your mouth on the straw, then he did. Romance at its finest!”

You know, deep inside, Kuroo just likes to rile you up, but you still bite the bait. “Kuroo, shut up, please??”

And Kenma speaks up for the first time during the whole banter. “Kuro, the tomatoes are on the kitchen table. Go.”

The Nekoma captain quirks an eyebrow before shrugging and heading towards the kitchen. “Thanks. Don’t do anything risky.”

“Kuroo!”

You and Kenma awkwardly glance at each other-- you note he’s still sipping your chocolate milk-- and eventually he stands off to ward Kuroo off (who keeps chuckling for no goddamn reason).

You two are alone again, and his burnt-gold eyes stare into yours.

“Did Kuro bother you?” His ears are still pinkish, but you notice that he’s still comfortable, although you can see a sheen of sweat starting to form on his face.

“Nah... “ You force your voice to stay level. “Why does he keep doing this?? God, he’s so annyoing sometimes… it isn’t like- it isn’t like we’re dating or anything.” God fucking damn stuttering.

Kenma’s eyes widen for a fraction of a millisecond, and you almost miss it, before he clears his throat. “Yeah. Not like that at all.. let’s just go back to playing.”

The atmosphere morphs into the usual, playful one that is held between the two of you, and you’re becoming proud of how much better Kenma is at redefining conversations and shifting the mood whereas in the beginning he would struggle in topic changes.

You’re so proud of him.

(And you’re kind of in love with him.)

You have a group chat with Kuroo and Kenma, unsurprisingly.

It’s, what, midnight on a school day, and the three of you are texting. Kuroo offers a game of ‘truth or dare’, and you accept out of sheer boredom. Plus, dares are so much easier to do online because you can fake nearly anything.

Kenma takes a good ten seconds to respond.

He leaves you on seen for two minutes and you’re about to text him and complain but his reply shoots back.

And your heart doesn’t skip a beat. No, it just beats even faster.

The blood is rushing to your face, you can feel it, and a smile tugs at your face subconsciously. Your brain’s running a mile a minute, and you’re so outrageously shocked and unprepared that the aftermath of it all hits you just about a minute later.

(What if he’s lying? What if someone made him say that? What if-)

You cute little rat, you seeth internally, happiness still radiating off of you. Is this a dream? Oh my god. Kozume Kenma likes me.

… Kozume Kenma feels the same way I feel about him.

The next day, you anxiously wait for Kenma at your doorstep. You even woke up early and had gotten ready as soon as you could, just so you could catch Kenma ASAP.

You slept surprisingly well, despite your anxiety from Kenma, and your body was filled with energy. You check your phone every two minutes, glancing at his ‘good morning text’ and praying for another one.

YOU: oh!!!! yea id love to walk to school w u :))

Silence fills your ears as you anxiously pace back and forth from your doorstep to the curb of your neighborhood. You can’t help but worry as your gaze flits across every house, begging for a sign of Kenma.

(What if you’re too late, you realize in panic. What if your efforts weren’t enough?)

But then the sound of quiet-paced footsteps snaps you out, and you look up to see Kenma, standing in front of your house, an adorably shy expression painted across his face.

“Kenma!” You hate how your voice comes out kind of squeaky and high-pitched but you don’t care right now. You practically launch off of your doorstep and bound toward him, settling by his side.

He gives you a shy, adoring look but you can see the anxiety in his eyes as he points forward in the direction of Nekoma. “We can talk while walking, right?”

You smile breathlessly and your fingers brush against his. He smiles at you, and you notice the same pink dusting his ears like when he was sharing chocolate milk with you.

Two hands intertwine and the conversation begins.

You’re in your third year of college now, out on a “boys (and girl) night out”, as Kuroo deemed it.

Kenma’s got it well-made for him, striking good on his company to which you supported him through the entire time, and Kuroo’s on his way to be the scientist he’s always dreamed of being even as a nerdy-jock kid. He claims he’s practically a professional volleyball player, too, just on the side, but both you and Kenma know better.

You and Kenma have been dating ever since your second-year in high school. Which makes it just about… four-ish years now that you’ve been dating.

(Kuroo claims that in your first-year, you and Kenma were basically dating each other spiritually, but you pay him no mind.)

The three of you are out on the beach on an autumn day. It’s pretty empty, despite the warm evening sun that casts a golden shine on the sand and ocean, so you’re all making epic sandcastles in peace.

“We should make a moat,” Kuroo says, already digging out a ring around the lopsided sandcastle.

“We haven’t even finished the castle itself!” You protest, pushing him lightly as you use your other hand to pat down the base of the castle.

Kenma packs sand into a small bucket and delicately places it on top of the half-finished sand “castle” to make a tower. You find it cute how he’s the only one putting in decent effort, so you help him out by packing in another bucket of sand. “Kuro would be a terrible architect,” Kenma comments.

“You right, you right,” You sigh out while Kuroo squawks in protest. Kenma leans on you, out of instinct you think, and you kiss the top of his head gently. Kuroo covers his eyes and complains about his youth and young love before Kenma haphazardly bumps into you. Which leads to the sand castle collapsing.

“Ah- Kenma!” you cry out in panic, sweeping the sand together in a half-hearted attempt to piece it back into a cohesive castle. “Be careful!”

“No, look,” he says quietly, a small smile gracing his face.

“You worked so hard on the base too, to make it big and flat- oh?” You sit up a little bit when you see a small velvet box in the middle of the sand pile.

Kuroo gasps very loudly and you stare at Kenma in shock.

Oh my god. What’s happening, what’s happening, oh my god-

You slowly reach out for the box in the middle of the mess and take it delicately, brushing off the sand clinging to it. Your fingers pry it open with shaking fingers and you feel Kenma place his hand on your arm gently, his gorgeous honey eyes staring at you. The same honey eyes you fell in love with.

You're also in love with the gorgeous, sparkling amber ring that sits in the middle of the cushioned box.

“[Name]. I want to be married. To you. Will you marry me?” Kenma’s voice is soft and sweet but you know with the convincing sureness in his voice that he’s been practicing this line for at least a month and he’s become confident in it.

You start crying immediately (god damn it, you think to yourself) your heart blooming with joy and your entire body feels like it’s about to explode of pure happiness.

You kiss him, full on the lips with tears streaming down your face and he kisses back, his arms wrapping around you and you realize he’s crying too. With the possibly happiest voice you’ve ever used in your life, you cry out, “Of course I will!” on the beach with Kuroo clapping in the background.

Two years later on that beach, you two become the happiest couple on Earth.

Rose’s Stories

So below are some very rough ideas that I have for what Rose’s book series would be like--I hope to eventually write all of them but I thought it would be fun to share this with all of you! 

Family:

Tadashi and Fred Hamada: Dads

Daniel: Older brother

Hiro Hamada and Ezra Bridger-Hamada: Uncles

Hope and Dev: cousins, kids of Hiro and Ezra (Hope is younger than Daniel but older than Rose and Dev, Dev and Rose were in the same incubator at the same time so are cousins but also consider themselves to be sort of like twins)

Cass: Grandma on Tadashi’s side :) (Really great aunt but all the kids call her Grandma)

Stan: Grandpa on Fred’s side (as a superhero he saved Tadashi from the fire and is the reason Tadashi is still alive! Yes his name is Stan Lee as an homage to Stan Lee being the model for Fred’s dad in the movie BUT to clarify he has no connection to the real Stan Lee, may his memory be a blessing!)

Books:

Meet Rose: Story starts with her finishing up her last day of homeschooling, Rose is going to start regular school for junior high in the fall. Possibly just Fred homeschooled her and Danny to give them a good foundation, or possibly because she’s ASD and didn’t handle elementary school well when she tried they decided to homeschool her but she’s agreed to try again in Junior high (she’s a bit nervous but mostly excited.) She gets A’s in all classes but math she gets a B which she’s a bit sad about but she tried her best (math is hard for her, she does good but it’s not fun which kinda sucks since math comes naturally to everyone in her bio family except for Fred.) Theme of the book is Rose is a very helpful person but sees everyone in her family is doing big things to help the world (making Baymax, etc.) and she wants to do something meaningful with her summer, feels like she needs to accomplish something big before starting junior high (aw, sweet summer child thinking junior high is so grown up and important XD). She goes around asking everyone what she can do to help them and keeps doing little things that they ask her to help with but is worried she’s not really doing anything important. Story ends with Tadashi explaining that she doesn’t have to do a “big thing” and the “little things” are actually really important, but does take her to adopt a cat since she can make a big difference in the life of the kitty :) Random note: Tadashi and Fred always make sure to have family time on Friday nights and Tadashi, since he doesn’t have as much time with the kids as Fred working full time, has special time for one-on-one time with each of the kids at some point during the week to check in and see how they’re doing/spend time doing something that’s important to them :)

Rose Learns a Lesson: Rose going to school. Lots of stress: For one thing just struggling socially but especially because of how she and Danny were born some of the bullies decide to pick on her for being “a freak”, ask her if she was born in a test tube/is a clone, when she explains about the incubator they make a connection to chickens and start calling her “chicken girl” or “egg girl” and spread a rumor she was hatched from an egg or some shit. Also teachers expect her to be just like Danny (who loved math) and Hope (who wasn’t super into math but it was easy for her) and are frustrated that she struggles with math. Oh, and she was supposed to have the same schedule as Dev but the principal separated them for most of their classes, except maybe home ec where he kind of outshines her in baking/cooking so there’s drama there too. She does make a friend, Hermoine, who has two moms (one of her moms is trans so she was born that way) and they hit it off really well :) They bond over Harry Potter (Rose is a Hufflepuff with a Hufflepuff and a Gryffindor for dads while Hermione is a Ravenclaw with a Gryffindor and a Slytherin for moms) and other nerdy stuff :) Hermione is an avid fanfic writer and Rose loves reading, and Hermione loves Rose’s plushies so they work really well together!

Rose’s Surprise: Christmas story, Rose loves Christmas and is hard at work on making Christmas presents for family. Expected a small Christmas but Tadashi and Fred invited a lot of the adopted family to celebrate (BH 6 team and their family plus Ezra’s family) to celebrate with them and so there’s a LOT more people around than expected (social anxiety), Rose feels like she has to make present for everyone (PANIC), and she keeps getting pulled into doing holiday things which means she has even less time to finish making presents (MORE PANIC.) Resolution is everyone realizing she’s stressing out but she didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings by saying no to celebration things or by not making presents and everyone reassures her she doesn’t have to make presents for everyone but also gives her some down time to finish making the presents :)

Rose Saves the Day: The annual Sakura Festival is happening in San Fransokyo! Rose is super excited, it’s one of her favorite times of the year, and she always helps Aunt Cass with the extra customers she gets during the festival (they usually give it a special theme, this year it’s a cat maid/butler cafe!) But this year Tia Honey Lemon asks her to help with her fashion show as a model (Honey Lemon gives her sewing lessons in exchange for her helping model her clothes) and helping make outfits, and also the animal shelter where Rose got her kitty from needs support so Rose offers to make plushies for them to sell at the booth/offers to help run the booth and kind of over extends herself. Not a lot of story ideas built out on all of that yet but she’s doing lots of running around and she’s really tired and possibly gets a bad grade on a math quiz because of it and she kinda melts down and Tadashi has to help her figure out how to calm down and do what she can while also making thing manageable (including apologizing but telling people she can’t meet all of her commitments and everyone is very nice and understanding about it!)

Happy Birthday, Rose: I don’t have a lot worked out aside from Rose having a summer birthday, possibly she invites classmates but gets ditched (except for of course Hermione and her fam) for someone more popular running a party (maybe also Rose made it a costume party and people were like “You’re turning thirteen and THAT’S what you’re doing?) For sure the family goes to DisneyLand! Also possibly some angst because Danny has graduated high school now (he graduates at sixteen and is starting at SFIT next year) and overhears Hiro saying something about how when Tadashi started college he was never around and so she’s worried about losing Danny and he has to reassure her that he will always have time for her. Possible angst if Rose gets ditched for her party trying to convince her dads into homeschooling her for eighth grade and try again with high school, but she gets talked into trying again. 

Changes for Rose: It’s a new school year, Danny has started at SFIT and yeah, is not around as much and Rose is missing him and maybe he’s missing family night on Fridays and Tadashi and Fred are like, “Well he is in college, it is going to happen as he gets older” and Rose isn’t happy about it. Main plot point is Callaghan is being paroled from prison, it’s been about twenty years now and he’s in his sixties/seventies and is pretty broken down at this point. Abigail is living on the other side of the world now for work, and Callaghan has no one else to turn to but a desperate hope that Tadashi might help. Tadashi has been visiting him all this time on the down low (Hiro and most of the others don’t like it) and is like, “He’s still my dad figure, I can’t let him end up on the streets, he can come live with us.” (Callaghan was a friend of the Hamada parents and helped raise Tadashi after they died/got Tadashi interested in robotics, losing Abigail pushed him off the deep end but once he had time to think about what he’d done after it was all over he was horrified and is still incredibly guilty about almost being responsible for Tadashi’s death.) Fred is not terribly happy about it but is kinda understanding. Hiro is NOT happy at all (has never forgiven Callaghan.) and there is a lot of family drama going on. Rose is a bit nervous around this strange old man, she does know what happened but Tadashi always spoke highly of him and he seems lonely and sad just sitting quietly in the guest bedroom all day, maybe reading but often just staring out the window. And she’s feeling lonely with Danny being gone so much so she ends up making friends with him and kind of helps the others come around to him and is happy to have a new family member :) Random note: Maybe Callaghan helps her a lot with her math homework, he’s a really good teacher and helps her find ways to understand math that work with her learning style ^^ Other plot point: Rose might be realizing that she likes Hermione as more than a friend?

The girls decided on meeting in Shibuya since it was close enough for everyone and had plenty to do.

Ann volunteered to pick up Futaba at her house and ride the train with her. 

Though when she arrived at the Sakura house, she got a bit of a surprise.

“Lady Ann! You’re looking particularly lovely today!”

“Oh… Morgana… hi…”

Futaba sighed, “Yeah sorry about that, Akira foisted him off me today. Said he had something really important and was gonna be “out of commission” for most of the day so he needed someone to take care of Mona.”

“Hmph, like I needed to be watched over like some common house pet! But I don’t mind if it means spending the day with you, Lady Ann.”

Ann just gave an awkward smile. She was not oblivious, she’s known about Morgana’s giant crush on her for a while now. It kind of made her think of a little kid crushing on their older sibling’s friend which was why she tried to be nice and not mention or indulge him on the issue. She was sure he’d get over it… someday...

Futaba groaned and just shoved Morgana further into the bag she was carrying.

“Oh no you don’t, Cats-anova, this is Girl’s Day! Let’s get going.”

Ann shot Futaba a small quiet thanks as she walked alongside Futaba.

It didn’t take long before the trio were on the train and it didn’t take long for Ann to try to pass the time with conversation.

“So how’ve you been?”

“...Alright I guess.”

“And Boss?”

“He still fusses over me but I’ll take that over his reaction when he first found the card.”

Ann didn’t say anything but from what Akira told the group about what happened that night, she can imagine just how scary that confrontation was. If her parents had found out that she was throwing herself in danger… and associating with who is saying are murderers now…

Ann just put her hand on top of Futaba’s and gave her a comforting smile.

Ann, Futaba, and Morgana met with Makoto and Haru by the station and after explaining Morgana’s presence (Haru didn’t mind and Makoto said she’d have a talk with Akira), their first stop was to get some foods and of course Ann’s first suggestion was her favorite crepe stand.

As they waited in line, Ann attempted to drag the others into some “girl talk.”

“Aw come on, no lucky guy or girl catching anyone’s eye?”

“After that mess with Eiko and that host, I really don’t want to think about romance.”

“Oh I’ve got someone in mind.” Remarked Futaba

The girls and Morgana stared at her in surprise.

“Wait, Really Futaba-Chan!?” asked Haru

“HOW!?” Asked Morgana

Futaba just grinned, “He’s strong, loyal to his friends, not particularly smart but he’s got heart where it matters… and he’s the prince of a war torn kingdom trying to bring peace to the land.”

The others sighed once they realized Futaba had fooled them while she gave her usual little laugh.

“Mweh-heh-heh, really had you guys going there! To be honest, everyone picks that guy as their love interest. I might go with someone else in the game just to be a contrarian. Although… mweh-heh-heh… I may or may not have learned of a certain fluffy someone spending time with our leader...”

Instantly Haru turned red and tried to cover her face.

“That’s…! Akira-kun’s just been… he’s... justbeingafriendand...”

Instantly, Ann took Haru’s arm, “Hey looks like we’re up next in line, do you have your order ready?”

“YES! Th-thank you, Ann-chan.”

As Makoto and Futaba waited for their friends to make their orders, the older girl shot a small glare at Futaba.

“That was entirely unnecessary, Futaba.”

“Hey Ann wanted gossip and neither of us are the go-tos for romantic topics.”

“How do you even know about Akira and Haru spending time together?”

“I have my ways.~”

Morgana briefly popped out of the bag, “Akira’s phone is still bugged.”

“Hey, don’t ruin the mystery!” Futaba shouted as she tried to shove the not-cat back into her bag

Makoto groaned as she pinched the bridge of her nose.

“In my defense! He has yet to ask me to remove it.”

“Probably because he keeps forgetting about it. If you’re not going to remove it anytime soon, at least give him and Haru some privacy.”

“Alright… and I’ll apologize to Haru too.”

“Mako-chan! Futaba-chan! You’re up next!”

Ann and Haru stepped aside to let Makoto and Futaba walk up to the register.

As they waited, Ann glanced over at Haru.

“Hey, you okay?”

“Y-yeah. I know Futaba-chan wasn’t trying to be mean but...”

“It was kind of embarrassing?”

Haru nodded as she took a nibble from her caramel apple crepe.

“To be honest… Akira did always seem to be protective of you ever since you joined.”

“Wh-what!? I mean...”

“I’m being serious, but um if you want some privacy, we’ll leave you alone… Just know that whatever happens, we’ll support you one hundred percent!”

“...Thank you.”

After the girls had finished their treats, Futaba requested a trip to the arcade and while the others were still a little annoyed by Futaba’s snooping, they went ahead with the request.

Haru looked around with wide eyes, this was certainly a new experience for her, Futaba offered to look around with her since this was also her first time and as an apology for said earlier snooping.

“They should have that new Dancing in Starlight game!”

“Dancing game!?”

Makoto and Ann stayed together and glanced around.

“You know, I think the last time I was here was in middle school and that was because Shiho dragged me here.”

“I’ve only been here once, Akira took me because I wanted to get better at talking to… people our age.”

Ann chuckled a little at that as Makoto turned away to hide her blushing. That was when something caught her eye.

It was a claw machine and inside was a good amount of Buchimaru plush toys.

Ann quickly noticed Makoto staring and looked over at the machine.

“Oh wow, Buchimaru stuff! I haven’t seen those in a while!”

The two walked over, Makoto still nervous to mention her love for the little panda mascot.

“O-oh, you were a fan?”

“Granny Takamaki would always send Buchimaru and Friends merchandise to me for my birthday when my parents and I still lived in Finland and the US. My favorite was the cat with the beret decorated with sprinkles.”

“Oh you mean, Kurineko-Chan.”

“Yeah! You like them too, Makoto?”

“I… well...”

“Hey it’s okay, I’m not going to judge you.”

“...Yeah…”

With that, Ann smiled, “Great, let’s see if we can win those plushies!”

At first Makoto was unsure but then she truly got into the spirit as she got so much closer and closer with each failed attempt. Until finally…

“YOU DID IT!”

“I did it...”

The smile on Makoto’s face was probably one of the brightest Ann had seen from her friend.

The two decided to go find Futaba and Haru, they quickly found the two still on that dancing game machine and were obviously having a lot of fun as Morgana watched from his hiding spot in the bag.

As the current song ended, Haru turned around and waved towards them.

“Mako-chan! You should try this out!”

Without waiting for an answer, Haru took Makoto’s hands and brought her up to the dance mat.

“Hey! Two against one isn’t fair! Ann, Back-up needs back-up!”

Ann laughed as she joined Futaba's side and the four girls just chaotically “danced” their hearts out.

As Morgana watched, he couldn’t help but admire Lady Ann’s kindness and her love for her friends.

“All right, class...today we’re going to be talking about pets! How many of you have pets at home?”

All around her, Hinata sees hands go up.

...she can’t raise her own.

Hiashi has never approved of the notion of pets. Whenever Hinata has so much as hinted as wanting some kind of animal companion, he’s shut her down flat. They do nothing but make messes, he tells her. They cost money to buy, to feed, to shelter. And if something happens to them, you have to pet a vet to take care of them.

Of course...Hinata had always thought it an odd thing to complain about. After all...children can be said to be very much the same, and Hiashi has two! She and her sister Hanabi - as well-behaved as they are for their ages - make messes. And Hiashi has expenses in regards to them both - he has to buy food for them, pay for their doctor visits, their clothes, their school supplies…

Would a pet really be so different…?

“So many of you! Would anyone like to talk about their pet?”

Snapped from her thoughts, Hinata looks up to her kindergarten teacher. Several students raise their hands, and a boy nearby is picked.

“I’ve got a puppy! His name’s Akamaru, and he’s my bestest friend! My mom raises dogs, so I got to keep one!”

“That’s so sweet, Kiba! Does your puppy know any tricks, yet?”

“No, not yet...but he’s gonna be a real good dog!”

In spite of herself, Hinata gives a small, sad smile. It must be nice to have a dog...something to play with, and cuddle, and take care of. Kiba always talks about his mother’s dogs...Hinata asked her father once if they could get one the next time one had puppies.

He, of course, said no.

“All right, anyone else? How about you, Sasuke?”

“I have a cat…”

“Oh you do? Does your kitty have a name?”

Hinata’s attention shifts to the boy speaking. He fidgets a bit.

“Um...his name is Shadow. He has long black fur, and yellow eyes. My brother found him when he was a baby.”

“Oh, goodness! Well, I’m glad your brother found him, and now he has a good home! All right now class, here’s our next activity! We’re going to draw our pets. And if you don’t have a pet of your own, you can draw a pet that you have always wanted! Take out your crayons and some paper from your notebooks, please.”

Hinata can’t help but pause. A pet she wants…? But...she couldn’t choose! There are so many good pets...from little animals like guinea pigs and hamsters to really big ones like horses! Of course, living in the city, Hinata could never have a horse. She’s not sure she would want one, anyway. They seem a bit...scary…

“What’s that supposed to be?”

“A fox, duh!”

“A...fox?” A few seats over, a girl named Sakura perks a brow. “Foxes can’t be pets!”

“Yeah huh they can! I saw it on the internet! This guy has a pet fox, and it’s super cute! If I ever get a pet, that’s what I want!” Naruto, another student, retorts, folding his arms stubbornly.

Quietly to herself, Hinata can’t help but giggle. Naruto is always so loud...but can a person really have a fox as a pet? They do look very soft and fluffy…

“Ew, is that a bug…?!”

The whole class turns to look as another girl - Ino - shrieks in disgust.

Beside her, a boy in glasses hides behind the tall collar of his coat. “...it’s a rhinoceros beetle…”

“Why would you want a nasty bug as a pet?!”

“They’re...interesting…”

“Nuh uh! They’re super gross! You weirdo!”

“Ino!” the teacher scolds. “That’s a very mean thing to say. Apologize to Shino, please!”

“Ugh, who wants pets anyway? They’re messy - plants are way better!”

Hinata shrinks a bit as the argument continues. A bug is a...strange choice, but if it makes Shino happy, then...that’s his business. Ino is being rude…

“Leave him alone, Ino. I bet that bug is nicer than you are.”

Several people turn to look at Sasuke, who dared to speak up.

“W-what?!”

“A pet isn’t just an animal. It’s a friend. A part of your family. If you make fun of Shino’s bug, you’re making fun of his family. And that’s rude. I don’t like rude people.”

Devastation colors Ino’s face. “B...but…!”

“All right class, that’s enough. We’re going to start some quiet time until everyone is done drawing their pets.”

As the teacher puts on some soft music, Hinata looks back to her paper.

It’s still blank.

While she’s always wanted a pet...she’s really never considered what one she would like best. It would have to be something...soft. A hard thing like a turtle, or slimy like a frog, or scaly like a snake, would never do. Not for her. And she’d probably prefer something...small. If it were too big, she wouldn’t be able to pick it up and hold it! And that’s very important.

Though that...doesn’t narrow her options down much, does it? There are lots of small, soft pets. Oh, how is anyone ever supposed to be able to make a choice?!

“A few more minutes class, and we’ll show our pets!”

A flutter of panic passes through Hinata’s chest. Oh no...she’s running out of time…!

...wait...she’s got it!

Taking out a grey crayon, she starts quickly but carefully scribbling. Soft, and small, and gentle...and cute…!

Perfect!

“Okay everyone, go ahead and put your crayons away. We’re going to share our pets! Be sure to tell the class if this is a pet you have, or a pet you want! Let’s start on this side of the room.”

Anxiously fiddling with her paper - Hinata always hates when they have to get up in front of the class… - she watches as people present their real or ideal pets. Most are pretty basic. Cats, dogs, birds, fish. But a few are more rare. One has a hedgehog, another has a parrot.

“All right Hinata, your turn!”

Swallowing dryly, Hinata picks up her drawing and moves to the front of the room. “I...I don’t have a pet,” she murmurs.

“We can’t hear you!”

Her cheeks flush pink. “I don’t h...have a pet. I’m not allowed to. But if...if I could have a pet, then...I would want a bunny!” She holds up her drawing. A rather fuzzy bunny with long ears stares from her paper.

“Oh, a bunny! How cute! Do you like bunnies, Hinata?”

She nods shyly. “I...I have a bunny plushie at home. It’s...my favorite…”

“Well, that’s a very cute idea! You can sit down now. All right, next -!”

Relieved, Hinata retakes her seat, watching the other students.

“This is my cat, Shadow...he likes to lay in the window by the front door, in the sun. He caught a mouse in our basement one time.”

“So he’s a mighty hunter!” the teacher praises.

“Yeah...he likes my brother best, but he likes everyone. Except my dad.”

“Oh dear…”

“Dad doesn’t like him either. They’re enemies. But I think they secretly get along.”

“Well, I hope so!”

Once the whole class shows their pets (or dream pets), the teacher excuses them for their morning recess. And all the kindergartners can talk about is their assignment.

“You really can’t have a pet, Hinata?”

“No...Father says I can’t…”

“Aww, but pets are great! You can come play with my dog whenever you want, okay?”

“T...thank you, Kiba.”

“And you can come see my kitty.”

Hinata turns to Sasuke. They don’t speak too much, but...well, then again, Sasuke doesn’t seem to talk much at all. “...really…?”

“Yeah. And someday, when you’re a grown up, you can have a bunny if you want to.”

“I...I hope so…”

“Or maybe a friend can keep a bunny at their house.”

“W-what?!”

“My brother kept a turtle for a friend for a while. He’d come over every weekend to go see it.”

“He...I mean, your brother didn’t...mind?”

“No. His friend gave him part of his allowance, and he took care of it.” Sasuke considers her for a moment. “...maybe when I get older, I could do that for you.”

“Y...you mean…? You would…?”

“It’s not fair you don’t get to have a pet. I said it to Ino: a pet is a friend. One that will never get mad at you, or think you’re lame. They always love you, no matter what.”

...for some reason, the prick of tears threatens to build in Hinata’s eyes.

“But I gotta be older, first...my mom would probably say no, so...you’ll have to wait, okay?”

“O...okay…”

No one has ever been that...nice to her before…

But recess can’t last forever, and soon the students are called back in to begin their next activity. And yet all Hinata can think about is the chance she might have to really have a pet…! Well, maybe not the real way, but...it would be a start!

For now...she’ll have to be patient. And if Sasuke would be so nice to her, then...she has to find a way to be nice back!

Before she can have a bunny...Hinata’s going to have to make a friend…!

This prompt was really...odd, so hopefully this works okay lol - I think Hiashi would be that strict parents that isn't fond of pets. Cuz he's a jerk xD      But we all know the Uchiha love their cats - Sasuke understands how important a pet friend can be. So he'll come to the rescue! Quite often me and Eiji take our little maccies before heading into the cinema (shh don’t tell them about it haha), and this picture reminds me a lot about it♡♡♡

I’m 10/10 sweet tooth person, and I couldn’t skip out to grab one of CHACHA's adorable ice cream along with this picture, they are just too cute and yummy looking, I would totally eat many of them IRL if I could! Last but not least, my top squish squish, cutie, melt my heart shop, Half-Deer. Nothing could ever make my life happier than to have gigantic versions of cuddly plushies! The newest edition are the Giant Bear Hug teddies, previously made for Anthem, but now in mainstore. You can find a collection of other cute giant animals such as bunnies, unicorns and cats, or even smaller cuties too!

Cutie Reviews: YumeTwins March 19

Okay, so here I am with the real March YumeTwins box.

This months theme: Spring Companions

“The cold and harsh Winter Season is drawing to a close and Spring is coming! There’s so many things we love about Spring here at YumeTwins, like the fresh buds and flowers appearing and of course all the cute baby animals that are born in Springtime! But the absolute best part of Spring in Japan is the Cherry Blossom or Sakura! There’s nothing more we love than to sit under the Cherry Blossoms and have a picnic, if you have the chance to no matter where you are in the world you should try too! To get everyone excited for Spring we decided to go with the theme Spring Companions for March’s box! In this Spring Companions box you’ll find a couple of kawaii fluffy companions as well as some more useful companions with lots of pastel and vivid Spring colors, so we hope you’ll enjoy them!“

Disney Dreamy Plushie

Our first item is this really cute, fluffy plushie of Marie, from Arisocats (an older Disney movie, which I LOVED when I was a child). Besides Marie we could also get Dumbo, Minnie Mouse, and Miss Bunny (the girl bunny from bambi, she is extremely popular in Japan). Each character features a lovely pastel color scheme and adorable flowers, pearls, and/or star accents.

Marie is also my favorite Disney character, along with Minnie Mouse and Piglet. So I was very happy to see/get her, although the Minnie Mouse was pink so I this would have been my second choice.

Well we all know how much I like plushies and stuffed dolls/toys, especially when they’re huggable and soft~ This one is perfect with that in mind, it’s shape fitting right in my arms for full snuggles~

Besides that, the detail on this is really nice. Not only does it add to the dreamy aesthetic, but its done very cleanly. I just wish there was a little bit more, like maybe they could have added a few tiny stars/flowers or more pearls? It’s only a suggestion though, I still think they’re plenty cute.

I did notice a few tiny little minuscule details that bothered me though. Such as the fact they collect hair and whatever else like nobody’s business. Besides that, they also have that obnoxious seam around the middle, the one where the material is a lot thinner and stands out in comparison to the rest of the plush? I also found a few small loose yarn strands...

Anyway, none of this changes how much I like the plush. The yarns can be fixed, it won’t be hard to keep it cleaned. It’s so sweet and even though it is essentially just a head, I think it’s very nice.

Animal Face Pouch

Our next equally fluffy cuteness is this pouch, shaped like a bear, puppy, or cats head; in 7 different styles! They each have a different leather strap color and inside patterned fabric; like my bear, who has a pink dot print.

Besides being a great, small size to fit into objects, you can also attach it to your bag or items if you lack room, or even carry it around your wrist or a strap.

As many pouches as I have now because of these boxes, I think this one would be one of my top favorites. It’s very fluffy and cuddly-soft, and very cute too. I love how versatile it is and it’s pretty fun, using it as a hand held purse one day to a purse accessory the next. It has decent room on the inside for being a smaller pouch, and it’s very light weight.

Cutesy Organizer Folder

If you’re a long-time reader of this blog then you will probably recognize this design; if you’re new though, then welcome :D this design/pattern is on a Tuxedo Sam cup I got (From a YumeTwins box like a year ago), and still use now.

Besides this adorable design, there is also 2 different Kirby, and a Pompompurin available.

As much as I complain about getting these (due to my belief I no longer need them), I will acknowledge that they are useful- and I’m sure at some point I will need something to put important documents in, or just letters, pictures, coloring pages, or drawings I want to save and have no where else to put them.

Anyway, I love how this matches my cup, even if I realistically wouldn’t have a reason to put them together. So as you can probably tell it is bent, but at the same time I’ve been feeling this material and it’s a lot less stiff than my other files have been. I can’t really explain it but it feels really nice.

Kawaii Key Holder

Our next item is this key holder, which was available in 5 different colors and themes: this brown Rilakkuma, a pink and white Korilakkuma, 2 Sumikko Gurashi (one light blue, one light green), and a yellow gudetama.

The key holder has two clips, one for each key, as well as a two other loops to connect it to various things. The string is 65cm long.

At the time I don’t personally have keys of my own (I can’t be the only one right?? I know I probably should...), but I still think this is a cute and creative item. It could also be used for other things though, and it also just makes a cute accessory.

Disney Highlighter Pen

Our next item is this cutesy double-sided highlighter featuring black and white drawings of Disney pairs; like this pink and purple one features Donald and Daisy. There was also a lime and peach one featuring Mickey and Minnie, and a blue and yellow Chip and Dale one. There are 2 other sets but they’re not in the picture.

With that in mind... I’m not a big Daisy fan and I love Minnie Mouse, so I kind of wish I got that one. But I prefer the colors on this one, so I’m not really sure which one I would have wanted if I got the choice...

This is how they look when used. They’re brighter than they look on here/in the pic though.

It’s small and smooth shape makes it easy to carry in a variety of items, and highlighters can be pretty handy, so I like how it’s dual sided rather than being several separates.The quality of the highlighter is great, and I like the color contrast to the black and white design.

Tumbler Set

Our final item is this 3-set of Tumbler cups, available in either a cute pastel Rilakkuma theme, or a colorful and bright Splatoon theme (oddly enough both sets feature the same base colors but different tones, and come with yellow straws). These Tumblers come in the shape of a fast-food cup with 3 included plastic, re-usable straws, and when not being used, the cups and lids can be stacked to take up less storage space.

Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ 

I like Splatoon and Rilakkuma, so I would have been fine with either set. I have a bunch of lidded cups I really like to use, but I always love to add to my “collection“ so I really like these :3 the designs are unique and very fun to look at, and they seem to be really sturdy so I feel like unless you’re really careless it shouldn’t be that easy to spill using them.

I also like that you get a set of 3, so you could easily share these.

Content - 4.5 out of 5. I don’t sound super-ecstatic or anything, but I actually really, really liked these items. As usual, I feel like half of it will be useful to me, while the other half might not be (for now), but I felt like all of the items are really nice quality and well thought out.

Theme: 4 out of 5. The theme is Spring Companions, and yes, I’d say in that sense these items greatly count as a companion, as you would bring them with you. But when I think spring, besides pretty pastels I think flowers play a pretty big role and I kind of wish they would have included more flowery items.

Total Rank: 9 out of 10. Like I said, I’m not 100% sold on how they carried out the theme but I do really like the items, and they offer a lot of practicality. I don’t know if I’m a bit biased because of how disgruntled the last box left me, or if I really just like this one that much more.

1. Animal Pouch - It’s so ultra-fluffy, I just want to cuddle it~

2. Disney Plushie - I love how soft it is, and it’s dreamy inspired design and detail is very pretty~

3. Highlighter Pen - I mentioned this above, but I really like how the white and black tube contrast the colorful ink. It’s very fun to look at.

4. Tumbler Set - I love how the bright colors contrast the rest of the items, and who doesn’t like Splatoon? I love how you get a set of them, and I like how we have 2 stylish designs based on the game, and a cutesy one covered in adorable colorful squid~

5. Key Holder - I like all the metal bits on it :3 I also think this would be a lot of fun to wear as an accessory until I actually find a more practical use with it.

6. Organizer File - This one is really cute, but out of all the items I feel like this one would either get no use, or very little use.

@soveryanon, @sazandorable, @perelka-l, here’s the JE haul I didn’t have on me yesterday, plus some of the stuff I did have just for reference. Stand names under the cut, everything found in hall 6 unless otherwise noted.

- Celestial shrine, P670 : that stand that had the Daigo+Metagross and MikuDai card also had this cute Bevenom, + Kayo sticker

- Lillie&USUM protags and Mimikkyu&Pikachu come from either still Celestial shrine or the stand right next to it, I couldn’t tell and didn’t see a name.

- Lychee says yes, R671 : on top of being like, “do you like SorMik? We have ALL THE SORMIK”, they had that cute SuMo card (Hau!) and a Moon charm. I know Aza already saw the DGM card, but posting the photo anyway because did y’all see the adorable SakuTomo mirror? did you? >w

- Sweet creatures, N612 : it’s just cute pokémon watercolors, but they look pretty nice. (On that note, Dessine-moi un pokémon is at N686, but we’ve been there iirc.)

- Kase-san print from Cerulean Nebula, S678 (along with lots of Little Witch Academia stuff, but you don’t need to see exactly how little impulse control I had there.*cough*)

- M697, couldn’t see the name : a zine of gags about the fangirl life. Haven’t read it yet, can’t say if it’s good, but just in case.

- The cats come from one of the first stands I saw and I hadn’t started taking notes yet, so I can only say it was in hall 5, near the exit. :s They had a series of these “character as a cat with a punny name” cards, like Sailor Coon, One Persian, or Kanekineko, but please appreciate the glory that is Cat Captor Chakura :D (The Clear Card Arc Sakura is from there too.)

- Kraft fairies fingers, P701, have a lot of, well, craft, including more reversible manga covers like this one (don’t laugh, it’s nice to have for old volumes, I use it for my Furuba that have been passed to too many people in high school and came back looking like they’d seen war), and really cute little plushies. (Sadly they had already sold their Toothless this year.)

- Things I didn’t expect to see in JE: Jack&Lacie (PH stuff is already kinda rare), and Seccotine claiming a whole sofa like an asshole cat (BD? here??) They’re from Farfadettes, Q699, who also had a Sirius/Remus card and a Zelda fanbook. (pics end here)

- I somehow didn’t write down where I found Tibarn putting the rad in PoR ;o; but it seems to be by KeysaMoguri, P699? (might be only the artist’s name, because I can’t find it on JE’s website.) It was the only Tellius item there, sadly; she said she made it on request of a follower. (Not the first time I hear this for Tellius stuff, and I’ve been making requests to other JE artists before too. For all that feh gave more exposure to the Japan-only games, it doesn’t seem to have done much for the best FE. u.u) (Abyssal, P677, had a card of Reyson… being shippy with Tanith? not my ship, but still nice to see.)

- The one where we saw a Bride Stories card was Hoshi magu, Q678

- The pokévillains were at Yopononoh, S677

- The pride cats are from Puck&Jensuis, S687, who had a Viktuuri wedding picture too.

- Akuo, hall 5, B216 made Cass’ cute Daigo and… Shirona (? i know they have her, I’m just not sure anymore if that’s the one you got) stickers.

- Bull’acide, T677, had the YOI zine and the Journey cards, but they had a Nausicaa card too

Grumpy Soren (so, normal Soren) is from Purr Purr, Q671, who had those adorable potato eeveelutions charms last year (and still have them i think); Orochi is from Bol de riz, N669, where you can vote for the best FE lords, see some cute Reborn stuff (the only one where I’ve ever seen any iirc?), and that one (1) Code Lyoko fanart (again, in the whole convention. Where is that french patriotism?)

- I think VnC is just barely out of Team One Fanart too, even though it’s apparently doing okay :( if you see anything more than the Vani and Noé cards at Lunatic, Q685, please tell me ;v;

- There was someone with really, really cool drawings of fantasy creatures (including pokémons, I didn’t come back in time to grab their Onvern but I saw Ho-oh and Lugia iirc) on gold paper at Les Passe-mondes, M666. Atem included as a reference for their style since it’s the only thing I bought there:

(Not for me, I’m just grabbing everything I see because a friend was very disappointed at the lack of YGO the year the franchise was turning 20. Mou hitori no boku, R683, had some more, but was less about Atem or Yuugi and more about that one blond guy with the tattoo than the name would imply xD I don’t know what the VRAINS characters look like, all I can say for the other series is that I didn’t see Yuma, Astral or the Arc V protag. :s)

- Hapapas, P699, had TWEWY bookmarks, though I dont know if they’re new or if they were here last year.

- Rainbow toybox, Q687 : cute pixel-styled hoodie!Pikachu on mini (mini, mini) cushions. The yaoi game deserves mention too, take a look at the rules if you pass there, it looks wtf but fun.

- did you know tumblr refuses to save a draft if you’ve been writing it for too long. YohaRiko Choose Your Own Adventure!

Merry Christmas to everyone! And a special Merry Christmas to the recipient of this fic, kami, @amuletangel on Instagram~ Her art is super cute!! I participated in the Love Live Secret Santa gift exchange this year, and I’m absolutely thrilled to present this to her! 

Hope you like it! It’s a little different as I made it a choose your own adventure. Instructions on how to play below keep reading!

Spending a day with Riko-chan <3 Choose-Your-Own-Adventure with the fallen angel Yohane!

How to play:

1. Choose what Yoshiko says/does! You get three chances~ 2. At the end, count up your points for each category! 3. Read the ending that you got the most points for! Or you can just read all the options at once and all the endings afterward! Do whatever you feel is the most fun for you.

Spoiler alert: All endings will be happy, no matter what you choose~ So just have fun!

“Yoshiko-chan, you’re late! Did something happen?” Riko stands under the shade of a tree, wearing a white shirt tucked neatly into a pink skirt with sakura blossom patterns. A light pink, checkered bow pulls her fringe back, and on her petite feet are simple white sandals, trendy yet comfortable for walking. She holds a bag with piano keys down its side, and an orange mikan keychain hangs from the strap.

[1] “I was searched at the train station because I looked suspicious!” [2] “I overslept.” [3] “S-Sorry!”

[1] +2 Sympathy, +1 Exasperation “I was searched at the train station because I looked suspicious!” Riko smiles sympathetically–not that she could sympathize to begin with, though. “That’s troublesome… Well, you’re here now, so should we get going?” Yoshiko nods, a small smile finding its way onto her face in her excitement.

[2] +2 Exasperation, +1 Affection “I overslept.” Riko stared at Yoshiko, hard. “Didn’t you think to set an alarm clock?” “I did, but it didn’t ring!” When Riko glares more fervently, Yoshiko flinches. “It’s true! I just have bad luck. After all, I am a fallen angel.” Riko stops staring and turns away. “Well, anyways, let’s get going.” “O-Okay,” Yoshiko replies, slightly put off.

[3] +2 Affection, +1 Sympathy “S-Sorry!” Riko chuckles quietly, and Yoshiko is struck by the femininity of Riko’s laugh, feeling a warmth bubble inside her. “That’s okay! As long as you’re safe, right? I worry when you’re late and don’t say anything.” She grabs Yoshiko’s hand firmly and pulls her forward, looking back at the lilac eyed girl with a gentle smile. “Shall we get going?” “Yeah, let’s!” Yoshiko grins.

“Yoshiko-chan? Earth to Yoshiko-chan…” Yoshiko becomes aware of a hand waving in front of her face and abruptly shakes her head, trying to come back to the world. The pair currently sat in a cat cafe, a white cat settled on Riko’s lap and purring happily. Riko peers at her, looking at her closely. “You okay?” Yoshiko nods, a little embarrassed.

[1] “Yeah, just zoned off for a moment.” [2] “I was just disappointed that I can’t pet the cats…” [3] “I was thinking about what we should do together next!”

[1] +2 Exasperation, +1 Affection “Yeah, just zoned off for a moment.” Riko purses her lips slightly, looking irritated. “If you didn’t want to come here, you could have said so…” Yoshiko waves her hands in front of herself quickly. “No, that’s not it at all! The ambiance here is just too relaxing. Besides, I’m happy to go wherever Lili wants to go.” Riko’s expression melts slightly and smiles serenely. “Is that so…”

[2] +2 Sympathy, +1 Exasperation “I was just disappointed that I can’t pet the cats…” Riko pauses for a moment and thinks. Confused, Yoshiko simply watches, and Riko then moves the white cat off her own lap and brushes her skirt off. She reaches towards Yoshiko, and before the fallen angel realizes it, she’s fallen into a soft lap and feels gentle caresses to her head. “Eh? Eh?! L-Lili, this is…” She tries to turn her head to look up at Riko but is held fast by Riko’s hands. “Don’t move. Does this feel good?” Her slim pianist fingers comb through Yoshiko’s dark tresses tenderly. “Y-yes,” Yoshiko blushes. “Why…?” Riko laughs. “Well, you said you couldn’t pet the cats, so I thought maybe I could pet you instead. Hm…rather, is that thinking a little backward? Should you be petting me instead?” Her eyes swirl, confused. “No, this is f-fine,” Yoshiko stutters slightly. “It feels really nice.” Riko smiles. “I’m glad. I don’t want it to only be me having fun, after all.”

[3] +2 Affection, +1 Sympathy “I was thinking about what we should do together next!” Riko nods in comprehension. “Do you have any ideas?” “Well…” Yoshiko trails off and digs into her oversized bag only to pull out multiple guides and magazines. “I brought these for reference!” Riko stares for a moment before bursting into laughter. “No wonder the police thought you looked suspicious at the train station! You had a huge, heavy bag that was crammed full of all these books!” Yoshiko scratches her head sheepishly. “What’s wrong with that? I never know when I might need them,” she pouts.

The couple left the cat cafe and wandered around down the street, looking at the various merchandise. “Yoshiko-chan! Want to come inside this cafe? It has a deal for couples.” “Hm? N-No way, the fallen angel isn’t interested in paltry chocolate and strawberry parfaits or Belgian waffles with strawberry and chocolate syrup… Urk!” Yoshiko’s eyes met Riko’s, and Riko looked at her knowingly. “You actually really want to go in, don’t you? Why don’t you just say so? Come on, let’s go!” She wraps her arm around Yoshiko’s back and ushers her inside forcefully, sitting her down at a table. They order the large berry parfait for couples, which also includes kiwi, banana, and chocolate shavings on top of the mango ice cream and berries. They also order the Belgian waffles drizzled with decadent chocolate syrup and topped with fresh berries. Yoshiko’s thoroughly abashed inside the cafe, but also can’t help her eyes from wandering the cute decorations with pusheen cat plushies and pink wallpaper. Their food arrives, and Riko takes a couple pictures of the food and one picture of them with the food. “It’s rather cute, isn’t it? I’m sure it’ll be delicious, too.” Yoshiko nods slowly. Riko takes a big spoonful of ice cream with chocolate shavings and blueberries and directs it towards Yoshiko. “Here, say ‘ah’!” Yoshiko blinks, then opens her mouth with a half-hearted “ahhh.” The spoon flies in her mouth, and the tart mango ice cream melts on her tongue, harmonizing with the velvety bitter chocolate shavings and sweet blueberries. “Mmm…” Yoshiko sighs. “Is it good?” Riko asks. “It’s delicious,” Yoshiko smiles back innocently, a face of pure bliss that catches Riko off guard. Usually, Yoshiko is so guarded and only produces the exact reactions from the same formulas each time. But Riko feels rewarded, seeing such a cute face. She wonders if she’ll see more of those faces from now on, being together with Yoshiko more and more. They finish their food and sit for a moment, digesting. “Where should we go next?” Riko wonders.

[1] “Let’s keep walking around and shop here. There’s something I want to buy.” [2] “I’m a little tired. Can we hang out at your home?” [3] “Where do you want to go, Lili?”

[1] +2 Sympathy, +1 Exasperation “Let’s keep walking around and shop here. There’s something I want to buy.” Riko nods. “Sure, that’s fine with me. Shall we go?” As they walk out of the shop, Yoshiko shyly reaches out and hooks her arm around Riko’s arm, taking Riko by surprise. The usually composed, older girl blushes slightly and stutters. “W-Why…” Yoshiko looks up at Riko, being a bit shorter, and puffs up her cheeks sulkily. “Can’t I?” Riko quickly turns her head, fighting the warmth that threatens to envelop her face. But her ears are pink. “I-I guess there’s nothing wrong with it…”

[2] +2 Exasperation, +1 Affection “I’m a little tired. Can we hang out at your home?” “What, already? Are you an old man?” Riko jokes. Yoshiko huffs. “Well, whose idea was it to go out here? The sun is too bright. I suggested playing games at home or something, but you said it’d be a waste of a nice day.” Riko smirks. “But you got into it, didn’t you? Who was it that brought a whole bag of reference books and magazines just for this day?” Having no words, Yoshiko just huffs again. “Fine, fine. Anyways, I’ve never been to your house before, so it should be fine, right?” Riko sighs. “Okay, I get it. Let’s head to my house. But I’m warning you, my room is nothing special.”

[3] +2 Affection, +1 Sympathy “Where do you want to go, Lili?” Riko blushes. “Well… Is it really okay for me to pick? You won’t mind?” Yoshiko smiles smugly. “Well, it can’t be helped, right? The fallen angel Yohane will especially accompany you wherever your heart desires, little demon Lili!” … Riko stares at Yoshiko stoically. … “Hey, why are you making that disgusted face?!”

After a day of playing together, they start to set up Riko’s room for bedtime. “You got permission from your mother to stay here, right?” Riko asks. “Fallen angels don’t need to ask for permission–ouch! What was that for?” Riko had flicked Yoshiko on the forehead sternly, and a small red bump formed on her head. “Did you ask or not?” “Yes,” Yoshiko whimpers. “Good,” Riko smiles. “Appearances sure can be deceiving,” Yoshiko mutters to herself as she pulled out her shark. “What was that?” Riko turned towards the dark-haired girl. “Nothing, nothing!” She unrolled the shark. Since there wasn’t anywhere to hang it, she’d just have to lay it on the ground. They decided to change into their pajamas, and Riko went to the bathroom while Yoshiko occupied Riko’s room to change. When she throws her bag to the dark corner of the room, it hits something, and she turns towards the darkness. A black fabric cover hides the identity of the object from her, but it was rather large. Although Yoshiko knows she shouldn’t mess with the things in Riko’s room, she can’t help but slide the fabric off gently. Beneath lies a hidden gem–the sheen of black wood glints in the dark, and she recognizes it as a piano. Opening the keyboard cover, she runs her fingers across the ivory keys delicately, smooth and polished. Riko knocks on the door but doesn’t hear a response when she asks if Yoshiko’s done changing. She opens the door carefully. After all, they were both girls. “Yoshiko-chan?” Yoshiko’s dark hair shines in the moonlight filtering through the white, translucent curtains that billow softly as the night breeze rushes in. Her lilac purple eyes sparkle darkly, and her pink lips are slightly open, inviting. As Riko watches Yoshiko sitting at the piano bench, she thinks she sees wings behind the younger girl. But when she rubs her eyes, it’s not Yohane at the piano anymore. Just Yoshiko. A smile graces her lips. This moment was only for her eyes, and Yoshiko’s presence was only for her. She was overwhelmed with joy and a deep love, so boundless and strong it even scared herself.   She steps forward and embraces Yoshiko from behind, wrapping her arms around the girl warmly. Yoshiko startles and jumps slightly, words failing her. “Ah! Lili? Sorry, I didn’t mean to…” But she’s interrupted as Riko lets her hot breath fall upon Yoshiko’s ears, and her lips brush Yoshiko’s cheeks lightly. Yoshiko’s breath catches, and she turns her head slightly to face Riko only to have her lips caught by Riko’s in one fluid movement. Riko holds Yoshiko’s chin in her soft hand tenderly, as if Yoshiko were a fragile, blooming flower in a meadow. When she draws apart from Yoshiko, they stare at each other for a moment. Both girls blushed a dark shade of red, and Riko swiftly goes to the closet to pull out her futon. “Okay, should we go to bed now?” Yoshiko nods mutely and crawls inside her shark, feeling stiff. Riko lays her futon down right next to Yoshiko’s shark and turns toward Yoshiko.

Exasperated Ending

“Yoshiko-chan?” Riko speaks quietly. Yoshiko turns towards Riko, rolling over to face the gold-eyed girl. “Yeah?” To her surprise, Riko looks abashed, and her eyes are watering. “Did you have fun today?” she mumbles. Yoshiko reaches a hand out of her shark and touches Riko’s face gently. “Of course. Why do you look so unhappy?” Finally, a tear slips down her cheek, and she holds Yoshiko’s hand with both of hers warmly. “Well… It seemed like I was the only one having fun, after all. I felt like I was the only one getting all excited about today’s date. I felt embarrassed and frustrated.” Yoshiko blinks. “Why did you think that? I’m really happy we got to spend today together, you know…” Riko looks at Yoshiko defiantly, pouting. “You overslept today. If you were excited about today, wouldn’t you have woken up on time so we could have more time together?” Yoshiko chuckles, which only frustrates Riko more. “Why are you laughing? This isn’t funny at all,” she sulks. “Actually, I got searched at the train station because they thought I looked suspicious. I just didn’t want you to worry,” she smiles mildly. “Well,” Riko starts. “You couldn’t pet the cats at the cat cafe earlier and looked bored.” “I’m never bored when I’m with you. Even if I’m just sitting there,” Yoshiko replies sincerely. The purple-haired girl continues. “You just wanted to come to my house and sit around, not do anything special.” Yoshiko smiles again. “Didn’t I just say that I have fun even when we’re not doing much? It’s fun just being with you. Plus, I wanted to see what your room looked like.” Riko lets out a sigh of relief. “What, that was all? If you were curious, why didn’t you just say so?” “I was afraid you wouldn’t let me come in if you thought I wanted to look around your room,” Yoshiko says. “Anyways, you see now, right? I could never be bored spending time with you.” She reaches out her other hand from her shark, unzipping the shark slightly. “What, do you need to use the bathroom?” Riko lets go of Yoshiko’s hand. “No, that’s not it,” she replies. Yoshiko stretches out her arms and opens them wide. “Come here, Lili.” “C-come here? I’m not a dog, you know…” She mumbles, her face turning pink. But nonetheless, she scoots over and Yoshiko wraps her arms around the older girl. “Yosh, yosh… Good girl,” she says as she pets Riko’s head gently. Riko just melts into Yoshiko’s embrace, resting her head on Yoshiko’s arm and allowing herself to relax.

Sympathetic Ending

By the time Riko’s in the futon, Yoshiko is already unmoving, sound asleep. “Come on, we can’t cuddle together if you’re in the shark…” Riko poked the unconscious girl gently. “Yoshiko-chan?” She sighed, but the ends of her lips turned upwards fondly. “Who’d have thought you’d fall asleep so quickly… Well, it can’t be helped. I’ll just sleep beside you.” Riko moved her futon closer to Yoshiko and got under the bedcovers, snuggling close to the fallen angel. “Good night, Yoshiko-chan. I love you.”

Meanwhile, Yoshiko lay awake, immobile inside her shark. Red covered every inch of her face as she thought about those last two words Riko had uttered. The next day… “Yoshiko-chan, did you not sleep well? You look tired.” ‘All thanks to somebody!’ Yoshiko thought. But she bit her lip, remembering Riko’s words. “…I’m fine,” she answers with a blush on her cheeks.

Affectionate Ending

The pair lay silently for a couple moments. Then… “You’re awake, aren’t you, Yoshiko-chan?” Yoshiko turned to face Riko in response, yawning. “…Yeah. What is it?” Riko was already turned in the younger girl’s direction and gazed into Yoshiko’s eyes lovingly. “…Can we cuddle?” Yoshiko felt her cheeks warm and thanked the devil the room was dark. “Okay, sure.” She unzips the shark slightly and wiggles forward like a fish. “Ow! S-Sorry, Lili…” Yoshiko had accidentally head-bumped Riko. They rub their foreheads and then look at each other, eyes smarting. Riko bursts into laughter, and soon Yoshiko follows. When the funnies die down, Riko moves forward this time, and she pulls Yoshiko closer. Yoshiko’s head rests on Riko’s chest, and she listens to the steady pounding of her girlfriend’s heart. Safely in their own world, Riko draped her arm over Yoshiko affectionately. There was no other place they’d rather be.

The box itself is sturdy with a cute purple and green design, including a cat pattern! The included insert tells you how to access the online zine. You simply go to the url and type in a password. You can check out past zines in their archive. They give you a detailed description of each item, including explaining any helpful cultural context. I can’t express how much I like that! So often Japanese boxes fail to explain what Japanese words mean, which is part of the fun!

I got the Woodstock squishy, which I love! Watching “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” is one of our Halloween traditions. It’s soft, dense, and big enough to have a satisfying squish.

Cardcaptor Sakura Pillow Case

This 62cm x 43cm pillowcase comes in 3 different Cardcaptor Sakura designs. I’m not very familiar with this manga and anime series, but it has been recommended to me by friends. I like the magical girl style in general, and items like pillowcases are fun and practical.

Round Animal Kawaii Plushies

There are five possible animals for this round plushie: a cat, a dog, a hedgehog, a honey bee, or a lady bug. As a cat lady I was hoping for the cat, but they are all adorable. The toy is soft and well-made. My ladybug also has a heart for one of its spots, which is a cute detail. There’s also a bell inside this plush.

My Melody Memo Pad

My Melody is a popular Sanrio character, and she adorns this 10cm x 10cm notepad. I like having a stash of cute stationary, so this kawaii pastel design is a welcome addition.

Sumikko Gurashi or Rilakkuma Lanyard

Sumikko Gurashi and Rilakkuma are two of my favorite kawaii characters! I got a Korilakkuma lanyard. Rilakkuma is a very relaxed bear, but Korilakumma has the opposite personality. This lanyard says “Mischievous Days of Korilakkuma” and shows her in a bunny hat with strawberries (one of her favorite foods).

Kawaii “Higemanju” Cat Gamaguchi Pouch

The last item is a cat pouch from the brand Amuse. The pouch comes with a neck strap and a coin purse style metal clasp. The name “Higemanju” is explained in the online zine (yay!). “Hige” means beard and “manju” is a type of round Japanese sweet. So those words together describe the cute shape of the cat’s mouths and round body. I got the gray cat named “Gomao.” I think it’s a play on sesame seed, which is “goma.” He’s really cute, and I love his little grumpy-ish face! I see these cats in UFO catchers all the time, and I might just have to try to win him a friend…

Overall I was very happy with the YumeTwin’s October box! There was a good variety of items, all adorable and high quality. The Rilakkuma lanyard and Higemanjyu cat pouch were my favorites! This box definitely delivers for anyone who loves kawaii goods. I really like that there wasn’t any cheap filler, but instead a well-curated selection of licensed things. Plus, they include some practical items so you can have some cuteness in your day-to-day life.

Fan Shrine Fridays: Pokémon, A Fighting Game Legend & Our First Mega Collection!

    It's the start of the weekend, and y'all know what that means: it's Fan Shrine Friday time! But what exactly do we do in Fan Shrine Fridays? Why, we show off how much we love anime, manga and games by displaying glorious collections featuring characters and series we love! No collection is too small, really. So if you've got a collection that you're proud of, send a photo our way, and your collection could be featured in this segment! Plus, it's a real treat for me to see all your amazing photos filled with a whole bunch of cool stuff! Let's get this party started and check out some collections.

      We're starting off with Asher's Chuuya ita bag collection! That's a lot of love for Bungo Stray Dogs' Chuuya! Ita bags are really a great way to display smaller goods like pins, can badges, straps, ribbons, to even plushies like we see in the second image. You can take a closer look at Asher's ita bags here. 

    Next up, we have Mary's collection! I'm already digging this one, because she has Nendoroids from one of the BEST shows I've ever seen, Pop Team Epic. ...What? Some of you haven't seen it? Well, you best go watch it right now because it's GREAT! Besides the majestic Pop Team Epic Nendoroids, I spy some A Bride's Story manga volumes, which is another stellar series worth getting into.         I absolutely ADORE collections being laid out like Kachi has done with theirs! Kachi mentions that their collection got to be this huge thanks a combo of working at a comic book store for 10 years and then moving on to working a tech job that lets them keep building the collection up. There's a lot of love for Haikyu!!, Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, One-Punch Man and Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun! I really just wanna... grab those Nozaki-kun idol standees right out the pictures; I had no idea those existed, and they're RAD! Also, how cute are those cloud wall shelves?!           Another bright and colorful collection! This collection is from Twitter user @squirtlesprout, and it features a whole lot of adorable Pokémon plushies adorning the shelves! There's a selection of really good manga, like The Ancient Magus' Bride, Inu x Boku Secret Service, Kamisama Kiss, and plenty more. Let's not forget about those Animal Crossing plushies! (Who's excited for the new Animal Crossing coming to the Switch next year? It's all I'll probably be playing at that time!)       Love Live fans, this one's for you! Chase has a lovely collection centering around his fave characters, Riko and Maki! I really dig how Chase has the straps hanging from the top of each shelving! The pen light being on display as well is a nice touch.         Bookcases are great to house anime and manga volumes, but what about a figure library? Hotaru's collection features characters from Love Live, Fate/Grand Order, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Touhou Project, and more! If I saw a display like this at a friend's house, I couldn't help but to stop and look at all the pretty figures! Get a closer look at Hotaru's collection here, here and here.

          Next, we have an awesome figure and plush collection from FGC legend, Justin Wong! Yup, your eyes didn't decieve you; Justin sent us his anime shrine for all to see! And what a sight it is! First off, I would love to just dive into that pile of plushies (yes, my initial desire when I see a plush pile like this is to dive right into them. SEND ME MORE PLUSH COLLECTIONS, PLEASE!). His figure collection is pretty impressive, ranging from series like Kuroko's Basketball, to Dragon Ball, Yuri!!! on ICE, Re:ZERO, and of course, Street Fighter. I really dig the Street Fighter figure display, because it looks like the bases connect as the characters face each other! You can get a closer look at Justin's collection here, here, here and here.

          Let's wrap this up with a mammoth of a collection from Brad! His collection is almost like walking into an anime home video museum! Brad mentioned that he's been collecting anime for over 15 years with over 4,000 DVDs and BDs. Dang, that's A TON of anime to watch! This collection has something for everyone, but the thing that caught my eye was that there's some rare stuff I haven't really seen before, like that Galaxy Angel Rune volume, and that Cat's Eye set. Traveling alone and texting people keeps them updated on my goings (and updates their wishlists x'D)

(2/?) I know, right?? Things are so much cheaper in Korea D: When I was there, I hit up a cafe nearly every half day, haha. Sesame drinks are usually hot, but they taste a lot like asian sesame sweets? Nutty, and sometimes pretty sugary (depending on the place that makes it), but the hot liquid with it is steamed milk :D And yes! Hot Apple Cider! Would you try a Sweet Potato Latte? Those are really good too~ Hot Rice Drinks are a little odd to me, but I have a friend who likes those

(3/?) Oh! Taiyaki! Technically the Japanese name for the fish pastry, but you can have those in Japan too! Some of them are filled with chocolate or custard or matcha custard there :D I know what you mean; whenever I saw an interesting snack, I lined up and chowed down, haha. Good thing walking burns off all those extra calories! I’m guilty of trying a bunch of specialty Haagen Dazs ice cream flavors unique to those countries too X’D You’ll definitely feel the same way once you hit up a dog cafe

(4/?) Do you have any dogs yourself? Or cats? Pets, in general? While it’s not jiggly cheesecake, I did like the molten cheese tarts from Pablo Cheesecake in Japan! The tarts are smaller, so it’s easier to portion per person than one whole cake, haha. Uncle Tetsu is a well-known brand for jiggly cheesecakes, if you see one! And oh, don’t worry, please! You’re not scary or anything! I’m super comfortable talking to you actually. I’m just really - shy? Sort of? Thank you for worrying about it tho!

(5/?) True! I didn’t travel during fall/winter until after I graduated ;D now it’s just my go to time, haha. I’ve never made it to Japan for Sakura season because of that ;u; but it’s really expensive then anyways. Maybe someday~ I’d love to take photos of that! Omg yes, leggings everyday, all day - and definitely like potato versatility! Oo, maybe when you have a day to yourself, you could go to a nearby art museum and set up like those students, yourself? hi, m’love! and thank you!! ahhh i’m so excited to be a potato this weekend :’) there’s also mother’s day though, so i have to wake up a little earlier than usual to buy some pretty flowers and maybe an orchid plant for her present. omg yes!! i hope you have lots of fun on the road trip! it’s honestly quite stress relieving and fun to just drive to wherever and enjoy the company of your friends. and same! i do that with my keys, plus i have pepper spray on my key chain, too. and i suppose having heavy textbooks in your bag helps in this instance because i can swing it around if i need to ahah. my friends are already updating their wishlists, too :’)

oh and! my parents decided to change the vacation dates today, and we’re going to be in asia even longer and i’ll be gone for almost all of august in japan and vietnam, so i can go to the concert?? but i don’t think i will because i already spent a lot of money for my t swift tickets and i’ll probably spend so much in japan and vietnam already haha because for me, i’d have to say plushies and good food > bts

there’s actually a museum on campus, but the thing is, a lot of the museums around here are more of modern art feel? like obscure abstract sculptures, minimalism, and a lot of photography. i really adore paintings and the older art styles, like renaissance, surrealism, photorealism, impressionism, etc. of course, all art is beautiful, but it’s more enjoyable for me personally to be drawing inspiration from realistic paintings.

ahah i’ll just ask my parents and sister to spot me while i play the crane machines then. hopefully, i’ll get one! wow, but passerby and staff help you win it? is everyone good at crane machines there?? i need them to teach me their ways, so i can stop losing money haha i’ll have to do that, too! hopefully, the suitcase fees aren’t too high.

sfljkhdafs dango sounds so good right about now. honestly, i saw that restaurant in nct life osaka and i love fishing and i love sushi, so i immediately thought, “i have to go there someday.” and the udon chain had a naruto logo on it? i’ll have to look it up, but i wrote it down in my notes! but now, i’m suddenly craving for ramen omg i’m just imagining it. and no, but i’ve seen so many videos of omurice! it looks really cool :o and is oden sort of like a hot pot? hot pot is always yummy, and my mom makes a vietnamese version of it often. oh gosh, i would love to try a traditional breakfast, but i usually don’t wake up early enough for breakfast ahah. and i hope so!! maybe one day, we can meet in japan :D
