trying to figure out a way to say this that won't get me cancelled lmao but sometimes i wish the other characters on the show wouldn't take buck and eddie's relationship so seriously??? by that i mean, because all the other characters view their dynamic as Legitimate and Accepted, moments like when maddie makes fun of buck for being obsessed with eddie in 2x04 and 7x04 are few and far between. and like, in general, everyone else valuing their relationship is obviously a good thing but also. quite frankly, the rest of the 118 SHOULD be making fun of them all the time bc they are obsessed with each other to an embarrassing degree. likewise, i would really like to see buck and eddie being Smug about their friendship and how well they know each other and how close they are(tm) while everyone else rolls their eyes. but the fact of the matter is we can't get moments like that bc buck and eddie are so devoted to each other they can't possibly say the quiet part out loud and if anyone else commented on it they would basically be outing them as being in love with each other (whether they know it or not) and tbh it's lowkey a travesty i need the 118's running commentary on how insufferable they are!!!!!!
