Sighing you lean forward on your elbows, watching intently as he sings. Standing behind the studio's glass window, you were tasked with adjusting and tweaking the audio ever so slightly when needed. That was your job. To make sure everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. So, Asra was absolutely perfect for his fans. Not like he wasn't that all on his own. You could see why the viewers kept requesting for this cover. The song Senorita in his normally soft and airy voice was already enough serotonin to provoke a heartattack . . . but when he adds an air of intimacy into the mix? Instant kill. No chance for recovery left . . .

The relationship between you two was strictly professional but even you couldn't deny the thousands of compliments his fans would spew in the comment section. And with the studio completely empty today as per his request. You could freely admire him without the fear of getting caught. Something something about feeling more at ease with just you by his side. Normally you'd be against it, but he was far too insistent this time, so you gave in. Just this once though. Usually, you’d be his side to give feedback and not behind the glass fiddling around with buttons, but today the camera was turned on. Unfortunately, it was only a few feet away from you. Turned towards Asra so there'd be no chance of any eye contact. Not even accidental. He wasn't a fan of staring directly into the camera or even in its general direction.

Stunning. Is the only adjective that would do justice when Asra’s like this. Always in a world of his own when he’s singing. He really is passionate about his craft, and it definitely shows.

An angel. That’s what he looked like, well he always did, but especially under the ambient lighting you choose today. His golden-brown skin glitters as the light bounces off his thick golden choker. His fluffy white hair messy yet stylish in a way only he can manage to pull off. Not to mention the way he grips his guitar while rocking his hips every now and then. He must be aware of what he's doing. There's no other reason he'd be grinning to himself as he sang if he wasn't. In a good mood, you note. Whatever he's thinking about must be exciting because he can't stop smiling to himself. His dimples even more prominent due to the halo effect behind him. His signature baggy white shirt is rolled up at the sleeves leaving his arms exposed for everyone's viewing pleasure. Biceps flexing every now and then, while one slender hand grips the base of the guitar as the other skilfully toys with the strings.

You flinch when he suddenly turns towards you. Scrambling, you look down at the soundboard. Did you miss a lighting cue? Highly unlikely, but then again . . . You have been extremely distracted today. However, that didn’t seem to be the case at all. So confused you glance back only to be hit with a sight for sore eyes. His paralysing hypnotic eyes locked onto you make you freeze like a deer caught in headlights. Furrowing your brows you make a questioning expression as if to ask what's wrong. Confusion only growing when he continues to sing as if he's not acting extremely out of character. It's only when his eyelashes flutter sinfully, a grin twitching at his lips while he tilts his head back with a low lidded stare that you realise what's going on . . . He's singing to you.

Cookie Run Kimura AU - Major Arcana Cards

This is something I've written down slightly over a month ago, with the intention of drawing some Cookie Run Tarot Card Fanart! 🃏

Since there was a lot of things in my mind (ranging from other art ideas popping to currently ongoing writers block) I wasn't exactly able to find the time to draw. 😅

Herb Kimura is the only one I drew a Cookie Run Tarot Card for, with him representing the Sun Arcana. But I still have the idea to draw the other cards soon! 🪴

Out of all the tarot cards, I only plan to draw some for each of the Major Arcana Cards. Since they're the most well-known, and I also didn't want to think so much for the other cards in the deck. 🎀

There's also multiple cookies listed on most of them. However I plan to narrow it down to drawing 1-2 cookies (separate art when it comes to the latter) 🌱

Fantasy high members but in one of the other worlds that d20 has

oh God. they're... dead, in most of those, right? Like, the Neverafter would murder them instantly, Starstruck could work but I feel like they'd make a ship implode within two rounds of combat, killing the whole party. ACOFAF would be a DEATH SENTENCE to Kristen and Riz in particular (and also, if this were an actual campaign, I think it would actually kill Murph), let's not even talk about Candia because lol...

Mentopolis and Bloodkeep really don't lend themselves to AUs, neither does Burrow's End (they'd just all be Jaysohn and Lila), Magic and Misfits is too easy...

Unsleeping City might work:

Kristen now prays to like, actual Jesus (this is kinda confusing because he physically appeared in this universe and seemed very nice, but I guess she could still have her religious crisis anyway). Anyway, she's from a very religious midwestern family and somehow talked them into letting her go to a New York boarding school (??? do they even have those in the city, I'm German lol) so she could bring the word of the Lord to The Heathens. She maybe performed one (1) very dubious minor miracle that was probably just a weird coincidence at home, and like, she was low-key convinced she was a special chosen of God but suddenly she has like, actual magic

Riz initially looks like a regular very cringey teenager but is, actually, a goblin. Who is still looking for his halfling babysitter. Basically Riz stays the exact same except he now gains a fun new dimension of investigating stuff on both sides of the Umbral Arcana. I want him to go full Veronica Mars at least once. I also want him and his mom to be involved in exposing Epona as the crook she is so badly.

poor Gorgug gets a near body-horror storyline in this verse: He's still a half-orc, but raised by regular humans who took him in as a baby and have since then, thanks to the Umbral Arcana, been convinced he's perfectly normal and human, just weirdly tall. They run one of these shops that remakes your keys, repairs your shoes, sells a bazillion little tinkering tools and glues etc. Gorgug is convinced something is really fucking wrong with him, but every time he brings it up, they just very patiently explain puberty to him again. He eventually brings them into the Unsleeping City and they're very supportive, and start making stuff for its citizens on the side.

Fig's storyline still works, pretty much unaltered tbh! Replace elves with some other immortal race from the universe (I'm pulling a blank), Gorthalax can still be from hell. Ayda is now probably from the literal New York Public Library, but still a phoenix. Fig is still a rockstar, who either still could blow everyone's mind when touring because she's actually magic, or who is just a regular rockstar outside of New York City (I don't actually remember if they're still magic when they leave New York? They must be though, since they exited the tunnel on the Jersey side in S2, right?)

nobody kill me for this but Fabian is giving "son of a pixie mobster" vibes, I don't want him to be a pixie but you know I'm right

Adaine is now the daughter of diplomats for Heaven who are running some *really* long con, who ends up at the Gramercy Occult Society. I don't like going the fairie route for this because it's important the Abernants have not a shred of whimsy

(OR, hear me out: Coffin Run-verse. That's just NADDPod's Twilight Sanctorum with teenagers, I know, but listen, I'll take noir-does-penny-dreadfuls any day of the week)

Characters:

Monty (stage name Count Lucio)- a finely aging rock star much like Marilyn Manson/Jim Morrison. After experiencing a decline in his health, due to years of drug use and/or genetics, suddenly dies

under mysterious circumstances.

Valdemar, guitarist

Vulgora, drummer

Vlastomil, bassist

Valerius, manager

Nadia- Lucio’s widow, a fashion designer who comes from a large wealthy family. Her parents began as immigrants who turned to art and thus created their vast fortune and notability in the art world. Her six other sisters are varying artists and activists for women’s rights

Navra, accomplished interpretive and ballroom dancer and has her own studio/teacher for prestigious dance academy

Nahara, retired mma fighter, women’s self defence trainer and writer

Nasmira, political activist for equal rights and animal testing, public speaker, also focuses on earth friendly and cost effective textiles

Natiqa, abstract artist whose paintings and sculptures are often featured in her own gallery and/or modern art museums, maybe architect?

Nazali, separated from family’s art-centric lifestyle to become a doctor and now ob/gyn. A political speaker and a part of Doctors W/O Borders campaign

Nafizah, musician whose genre is quiet inexplicable. A cross between folk/orchestral/ambience. Her work is largely used in film scores or entirely on their own

Asra- originally one of Nadia’s apprentices, but began ghost-writing for Lucio as a result of a quid-pro-quo type of agreement (he wanted to become a solo musician but had no way of really achieving it without help*his cover* but really wanted to “free” Muriel from his contract)

Julian- Lucio’s private physician, employed at the beginning of his health problems. Nazali is his former mentor, apprenticed under them in college when volunteering for doctors w/o borders. Has seemingly vanished since Lucio’s death and now writes under the pseudonym, Ilya

Portia- Nadia’s assistant, originally applied as a source of income so she could go back to school and open her own florist shop, but grew emotionally attached and enjoys working for/with Nadia

Muriel- essentially a slave for Lucio. When he first moved to Vesuvia, he and Asra had no one. Approached by Lucio, who promised work for him and comfortable living for them both. Became the mansion groundskeeper and is underpaid, but is under contract so he can’t really quit. Once Asra found out, he became an apprentice to Nadia as a cover as well as out of pure interest in her work. Since Lucio’s death, Muriel has gone off the grid and works as a photographer, makes money by selling pictures to magazines and newspapers

The Apprentice or MC- is Asra’s roomate and is also a journalist with a fixation about Lucio’s death and it’s circumstances.

Sighing wishfully, he cradles your cold lifeless body as gently as possible. Pulling it halfway out of the coffin it laid in, and flush to his chest. Quietly mourning what feels like the biggest lost he's ever been faced with. Asra hates it.

Even when he doesn't want to, he finds himself back here. By your side. The mating mark on his neck aches dully whenever he holds you. Its a welcomed punishment for not being there for you. For leaving you behind, and now . . . you’re gone. He’s noticed a lot of things since you’ve passed. The biggest find is how the dark brooding coffin doesn't suit you at all. No, he'd rather his arms be holding you instead, as you cheerfully beam back at him, your tiny fangs peaking out shyly behind your plum lips. But that's not possible now is it?

He wonders to himself just how much more will the count take from him? First his parents, then his best friend . . . and now you too? Asra will be damned if he lets the ritual succeed. If anyone deserves a second chance, it's you. Not Lucio.
