Hello Arcana fandom r u guys still alive SLHSKSS

I drew these guys a while ago and posted it to TikTok , and then I remembered in 2019 I used to be in this fandom ON Tumblr and I was like. Oh. I wonder if anybody still here? SHSLSJSL here's the main 6 in my art style, which was already very heavily influenced by this game anyway, enjoy! :^)

does anyone have any headcanons or backstory about the city of vesuvia? i was thinking of writing like a prequel fic of sorts and i’m really struggling with the world building since we only see a few locations in the city in the actual game.

If anyone knows/has a re-write of Muriel's route pls share them. I cannot stress how much the canon one irks me, especially how Muriel doesn't really have much development besides "I can socialize better now."

I REALLY wish they had made it to where the mc doesn't continuously baby him. Don't get me wrong, I think its good that the mc does support him but at times it feels like they just overdo it by trying to shelter him.

Edit: I also wished they didn't get rid of the ominous messages he would give the mc, let Muriel be edgy!!!

Smth that has always bothered me about Vesuvia - and Muriel’s character (mind you, he is my fav out of the M6) - is the whole colosseum and gladiator situation, because apparently in the Arcana universe, they kill each other in the ring??? 

Like, if we look at records from ancient Rome for example, gladiators *rarely* killed one another. It was a matter of “together we shall create entertainment” when it cames to duals, not “we will fight to the death” kind of stuff. They were *performers* ffs, the same way you’d see actors in a theatre or in a movie, and it was greatly looked down upon ESPECIALLY from the sponsors perspective if a participant died.

The highest kind of damage there would be dealt was to ones ego if you lost, as what determined *the end* of a dual was dropping even just the tiniest drop of blood or surrendering, aka “the crowd needs to see blood to see the touch” and to add to that, “the goal is not to kill but injure and cut”. Gladiators knew they were taking a risk when performing with heavy armor and weapons and going against one another, but their punches were never full punches - even light touches given in the right spots could get the referee to yell out for the fight to end, as that *would* have been a deadly spot if there was any malicious intent behind it, but there wouldn’t be.

They’d even bring out animals from far away to show off and get more viewers with, not to show they were better hunters than the animals by killing them (and killing them was expensive).

If we go out from Muriel telling of the times he has killed others, it leaves me with two different scenarios as to why the colosseum is used wrongly in the story:

Either Lucio, being the bastard that he is, set up the colosseum and said “fuck it” and changed the rules for his own entertainment.

Or, the more likely, Nyx Hydra went out from hollywood’s interpretation of the historical theatre instead of doing their own research on it.
