book 7 part 8 thoughts!!

***THIS POST CONTAINS MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR BOOK 7 PART 8 OF THE MAIN STORY!!*** Please note: this is NOT meant to be a summary or a translation; these are only my initial thoughts on the events that roughly unfold. There may be details overlooked or misunderstood in this post, so PLEASE do not use this as a translation.

Right off the bat, we're starting off strong with a video presentation from Idia!! He uses many MMORPG terms and analogies to better explain his concepts, even referring to allies as "party members".

He basically explains his plan to defeat Malleus. Idia's going to fuck around with stuff in his own dream to make cheat codes to debuff Malleus (ie remove his invincibility). The others shall distract Malleus so he doesn’t catch onto what Idia is up to. Yuu, Grim, Sebek, Silver, and Ortho will infiltrate the dream worlds of classmates, "wake" them, and then recruit them to their cause. They will then lure Malleus into Idia's dream, at which point all the recruited students will JUMP HIM 🤡 Truly, the power of friendship but the NRC way…

Idia grants everyone the ability to DREAM FORM CHANGE!! By saying that phrase, it opens up a menu where you can magically change your outfit in an instant. The NRC boys are becoming magical girls… ✨

Everyone at NRC seems to speak in the same Harveston dialect as Epel. And, well... here's apple boy...

Anyway, the group just casually walks up to Epel and tells him everything is a lie??? And when Epel's world starts to go all wibbly wobbly, a dream!Rook and dream!Vil show up to praise him. Rook says he has heard rumors that Savanaclaw wants to recruit Epel for their own dorm, while Vil praises Epel as being both strong and beautiful, a perfect fit for Pomefiore.

I like that the implication is that while Epel still has a desire to be in a "tough" dorm like Savanaclaw, this dialogue seems to also say that he now also finds value in Pomefiore. This is why dream!Rook and Vil are tugging Epel in opposite directions; his soul must like BOTH options. Further proof is that Epel is still a Pomefiore student in his dream, he is not in Savanaclaw. To keep him under the sleep, the dream is trying hard to appeal to both sides of Epel's wishes.

So we battle the fake Rook and Vil!! Then Epel's memories come flooding back to him; the cracking glass effect is so pretty and calls into mind a mirror shattering as Epel gains his lucidity.

(Rook and Vil get similar "glass breaking" scenes upon waking, so I'm only going to comment on Epel's here and leave it at that!)

Cut to black to explain the situation to Epel!

Ortho invites Epel to join their "party" in Idia's dream! Then I believe he uses Epel's dream data to project a hologram of buff!Epel to remain in the dream while Epel joins the gang to hop into the next dream.

Next up is Rook's dream, and--

Uhhhh long story short, Rook runs off to his room and we chase him. What we find is--

Rook starts to chuckle menacingly and pops off about his hyperfixations to us???? Then he wrangles us all to sit down and watch DVDs with him for the next *checks notes* 5 HOURS?????? AM I READING THIS CORRECTLY????? Rook... HONEY... THE WORLD IS ABOUT TO END, WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO DO THIS...

We keep trying to talk to Rook, but he isn't quite waking up yet. So we have an aside with the gang and Epel suggests... RECREATING OUR VDC PERFORMANCE??????? ? ?? ????? He shows Silver, Sebek, Grim, and Ortho the dance moves and the show goes on!

Rook is lured to the VDC stage and we get a new Absolutely Beautiful rhythmic with our current squad! Unfortunately, the vocals are the same as book 5, so we do not get a new variation with Epel, Sebek, Silver, Ortho, and Grim singing.

I love Love LOOOOVE that Epel is the center here!! He took the initiative to suggest the idea as well as teach everyone, and now he's REALLY walking the talk by serving as the "leader" of the group.

Watching the NRC Tribe makes Rook's head hurt and he starts to remember...!!

Well, wouldja look at that... Here comes dream!Neige and RSA!Vil to distract Rook. They say they are inspired by the NRC performance and start to perform Everyone Yahoo! This entrances Rook, making our task of "waking" him all the more difficult.

aihfboyfpie LMAO THEY'RE SO DRAMATIC?????? Vil steps up to defend Neige, and Neige is all like, "Nooo, Vii-kun! If anything were to happen to you, I'd be crushed by sadness :((" ROOK... IS THIS WHAT YOUR MIND COMES UP WITH...

Rook points an arrow at them and cries about how he betrayed Epel... (AYO LIKE THE HUNTSMAN????) and now he has to destroy Vil and Neige, who are "proof" of his betrayal. It makes him cry even more because he can't think of harming them, even if it's just a dream...

Anyway, time to pummel the sparkly duo! You can see from the battle sprites that RSA students seem to use REAL ASS SWORDS to channel their magic instead of magical pens. Man... Imagine being handed a writing utensil and then glancing over at the next guy and seeing them holding an ACTUAL WEAPON.

If you look closely, you can tell that Neige and Vil's pommels, grips, and rain guards are slightly different. Apparently, every RSA student has a unique one? WOW, I feel like NRC got ripped off then??? Cuz only the dorm leaders get unique items or staves to channel their magic and everyone else has the same standard issue magical pen but with a different magestone color. The only exception to this for the average student seem to be Diasomnia kids, who have baton style magical pens in their dorm uniforms.

Rook fully awakens and we rinse and repeat what we did with Epel (cut to black to explain things to him, make a hologram Rook to leave behind, and invite him to join us).

The last part of the update has us venturing into Vil's dream.

OMG, WE'RE IN FAIREST CITY??? AT QUEEN'S FILM STUDIO???? We just visited this place in a recent event! What perfect timing... I see you, clever TWST devs!

I swear that Vil's outfits are getting worse with each new one I see him in, but that's probably just my fashion sensibilities clashing with his 💦 I thought from the initial silhouette that we would be getting a slightly older Vil to show us how his values have changed since book 6, in which Vil declares he is always beautiful no matter what. Him being older would truly drive that point home; I feel this was a missed opportunity but maybe it wasn’t possible because these dreams don’t seem to be taking place in the “future” but mostly center on the present or past? Something, something, magic limited to what can be imagined and maybe the magic can’t reach that far “ahead”?

Here, Vil seems to be highly popular + considered fairest of them all. Additionally, a certain SOMEONE has been relegated to being his mere assistant (and uh, Vil is somewhat demanding of them):

On a more serious note, I think this raises an interesting point about Vil’s character. Try as he might to get over his envy of Neige, it’s clearly still something so deep-rooted in Vil, right up to the end of booo 5. Now this element also permeates in his dream world. Neige “has” to be demoted in so Vil can stand on top—but is that really “fair” to Neige?? Is it truly Vil’s jealousy that informs the dream of this, and thus the dream is spinning this shallow, easy victory for Vil’s satisfaction??? Because the noble Vil I know of in book 5 wouldn’t consider this a real “win”. Very fascinating topic to ponder!

Vil has Neige toss us out, which Neige does. The dream is preemptively acting this time, with dream!Neige coming at us. We make a getaway and somehow whack the head of the announcer + have Rook usurp his role.

As Vil is walking down the red carpet, Rook announces the various sins that Vil has committed. Vil panics and demands that someone shut Rook up, but then he starts to realize things aren't quite right.

We try to intervene, but Neige gets in the way and ultimately Vil is pulled deeper into his own darkness. Everyone else plunges into the dark with Vil?? I was worried that we'd have another battle map segment but thankfully there was none!!

We're back in the VDC backstage hallway area and stumble across a horrifying sight. Neige is on the ground (next to an empty bottle of apple juice) and all Seven Dwarves are surrounding him and sobbing. Ortho runs a scan on his vitals and Neige... FLATLINES...

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?????? THAT VIL ACTUALLY INTENDED TO KILL NEIGE IN BOOK 5????? 💀 Dude... No wonder why Vil was feeling so guilty and screaming that his actions were so "ugly"...

Epel uses his UM to encase Neige in a magical glass coffin to keep him safe. Then they run out onto the VDC stage and hear the announcer declaring that NRC has won. Vil is there soaking up all the attention and praise until we confront him.

Just as he is starting to "awaken", the darkness comes back and Vil alone is taken.

What I find really adorable here is that both Epel and Rook rush to his side and try to pull Vil out of the darkness. They're... OFFERING THEIR HANDS... TO HELP HIM OUT OF THE MIRE... OFFERED HANDS... A MOTIF THAT HAS BEEN IN TWST SINCE THE PROLOGUE... 👁️

Vil finally faces off against his Phantom. Like Idia in the last update, Vil willingly assumes his OB form to do battle. These fights seem very symbolic in the grand scheme of things. Idia and now Vil, confronting the worst, most unsavory parts of themselves, their inner demons, and rising victorious, proving that they have become better people… It continues the little bits of character growth that we’ve been seeing in each of the past books!!

He rises from the darkness and joins up with everyone else after conquering the fight!! The update ends here.

Okay, there's a LOT to talk about????????

The highlight for me was definitely Idia's presentation. It was very fun to watch because of the slick editing and it was a silly way to lay out the plans. I appreciate that we get to see Idia's strengths on display here; he can get long-winded and throw in lots of eccentric gamer slang, but you can also see how quickly he's able to tailor a complex plan together while accounting for many variables. adfhlboafoiyebif I UNDERSTAND THE IDIA HYPE NOW, I UNDERSTAND IT ALL...

(Side note: I did not know where to insert this, so I'll do it at the end! BONUS POINTS TO IDIA FOR RIGHTFULLY CALLING MALLEUS SHALLOW 💀 because his understanding of constitutes as happiness truly IS shallow. Once again, Idia slays with his brutally real words...)

I already said my parts about Epel and Rook's dreams when they happened. It was great seeing how their characters have developed, especially Epel! I never much cared for him, but I really appreciate all that he has done this update.

This pretty much confirms that future updates will have us visiting every remaining classmate's dreams and "waking" them. Admittedly, I'm both excited and worried??? Because that's a TON to cram in, and I worry that not everyone will get proper screentime or development. On the other hand, I'm hype to see what their dreams are like and what other limited SSRs the game might throw at us.

I feel like with the reveal of Vil OBing to fight his Phantom/"inner demons", we'll get similar scenes with the other OB boys coming to terms with what they've done and where they can go from here. This... might lead into the highly desired and speculated about Overblot series of SSRs, which I theorize will be the limited SSRs for each of the OB boys. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for those, TWST... I wonder if we'll get a Neige card eventually too??? Since we did see his battle assets exist this time. Will Chenya get one too, assuming he comes in a futureHeartslabyul update??

Aaaaaah, next time... Scarabia... 🤡 I'm so hype for that, Scarabia is like my second favorite dorm next to Octavinelle!! (SPEAKING OF, WILL WE FINALLY GET EEL FORM CARDS FOR THE TWINS...)

I’m sliiiightly concerned for Silver because bro used his UM no less than, what? 4 or 5 times this update alone??? He used his UM to enter Yuu’s dream and then Sebek, Lilia, AND Idia’s. Presumably, he also has to use his UM no less than 13 more times (12 more for the remaining boys + 1 more time to return them all to Idia’s to ambush Malleus). And even worse, he has to transport an increasing number of people each time. HOW TF IS SILVER NOT OVERBLOTTING????! 😭

bxjsgwjwnwkcbjsbs This update was nonstop WTF moments sandwiched between genuinely heartfelt moments. It’s been really rewarding to follow along and see how the Pomefiore boys have changed since we first met them all the way back in late book 4, early book 5. Looking forward to seeing how the other boys play out!! (… Book 7 is fr about to be 200+ parts long 😭)

-Being a soldier means living in a community. And even if sometimes you're lucky and have your own little room, it's obviously not a hotel.

-So when Alejandro was doing a patrol to check everyone was asleep, he didn't expect to overhear you.

- But it was normal, the walls were thin and he could hear Rudy's snore from here.

-So yes, he heard you talking in your sleep.

-Except it was a fever dream you were having, and it was his name you were whispering.

-He froze.

-He didn't want to intrude, so he stepped back, but it was too late.

- He heard you clearly because of those thin walls.

-The next morning, when all his soldiers were eating together and you were present he couldn't stop looking at you. He didn't know what to do.

-He was not a moron, and he didn't want to confront you about that, but keeping this silent was also horrible.

-"Everything is good, Ale?" Rudy asks.

-"...I overheard something."

-"Let me guess, two soldiers making out? It's like the fourth time this week. Are they rabbits or what?" Rudy sighs at the new cadets.

-"No, it was not two soldiers," Alejandro answers.

-"Oh." Rudy realizes, "oh. Well...it's also common to do it solo. Why are you making this a big deal?"

-"Because they say my name."

-Rudy chokes on his bread and starts laughing.

-"Why do you find this funny?" Alejandro whispers angrily.

-"Because you seem all flustered. You're usually a smooth talker, but you seem so shy about it. It's not the first time a soldier has a crush on you, Alejandro."

-"I know, but it's different."

-"And why is it different?"

-"It's them."

-Rudy smirks.

-"I see."

-"But I can't say I overheard them, but I want to tell them I feel the same. How do I do this when all I could think when I see them is this memory?"

-"You're right, I have to tell them," Alejandro says. He's brave, he can do that.

-"They're coming, good luck," Rudy says and winks.

-You sit at your usual place, greeting everyone, and look at Alejandro.

-"Is everything okay?" you ask him when you notice his expression.

-"I overheard you," he says blankly out of nowhere.

"...can you be more clear, because I have no idea what you're talking about?" you say lost.

-"Last night, I was checking if everyone was asleep and I overheard you saying my name in a feverish dream."

-You raise your eyebrows and smirk.

-"Is that so?"

-He notices the smirk.

-"Why are you smirking?"

-"Because I was on cleaning duty this night; it's Mina who was in my room."

-"Oh."

-"Yes. I guess you have to talk to her," you say.

-"You're right. Sorry, I didn't know."

-"That's okay, but if I may ask, what were you planning to do after telling me this?" you tease him.

He notices your playful tone and smirks back.

-"That you don't need to dream, you can have me in real life."

-It was a night mission.

-It's been hours since you were waiting, and you knew after this mission you probably couldn't see the 141 again.

-Because you were in a different unit, and your collaboration was only for this mission.

-So you knew it was probably the moment to shoot your shot with Gaz.

-You inhale and go to his figure lying in the dark.

- "Gaz, I know we get along with each other. I can't count how many nights we spent just talking to each other on the base or even how many times we laugh together.I...I'm interested in you in more of a friend way. I know it's horrible to say that now, but afterward, it will be too late. So yeah." You say.

-Silence.

-You only hear silence as the figure doesn't move.

-You feel your heart aching.

-Shit, is he rejecting you in silence without saying anything?

Y’all ready to fw some MORE Mr. Puzzles headcanons?

Cause I got some.

Mr Puzzles collects vintage items and trinkets. However, he keeps them as organized as possible. Clutter stresses him out.

He probably loved those I Spy books and it’s half of the reason why he loves trinkets

Father issues to the max. A part of what he does is fuelled by the determination to prove his dad wrong and that he does have “creative vision.”

That’s what he tells himself, at least. In reality, he wants approval from his dad. Approval that never came.

How messed up would it be if his dad passed when Puzzles made his first short film? So excited to show it to his family and finally get the approval he so deserved, only for his father to shoot him down immediately, causing a fight between them. A few months after this, his father passed. I feel like smth like this would kick off Puzzles’ technical replacements.

Puzzles studied business and engineering, partially due to his mother’s request. He did take some film courses and tried to get a film degree as well, but his teachers found his work to be lacklustre and mediocre. This caused one hell of a freakout in class which caused Puzzles to get kicked out of the course. His father had to convince the dean not to remove him from the school. This would end up being more fuel for their fight later on.

Okay I think I’m just writing bullshit lore cause idk what else to write lol.

Thanks to his technical enhancements, he can connect to anything (yeah duh we’ve seen him do this already). However, this process is incredibly painful and tiring, causing him major fatigue after. That headache he gets when transferring tvs is another major side effect. He gets similar headaches when he’s been inside his own head for too long, and ibuprofen is one of the few things he misses during these moments.

Also can he really just straight up teleport? Does he channel-surf in his head and chose one to pop out of? Does that always destroy the original tv?

And he has regeneration powers, since his screen just… Regrows…

Well whatever demonic power is connected to the keyboard SMG4 uses in IGTBP, he’s probably directly tied to it. Now, I feel like this is also tied to whatever was going on with Axol but since I haven’t properly watched that arc yet I have no idea what that is or if it’s actually connected to anything. However, I don’t think he’s the direct cause of this demonic stuff, just connected to it enough to utilize it.

With that being said, a lot of his abilities was from painful experimentation and random chance. It also hurts him immensely to connect and disconnect to things. As a part of the didney worl engine and controlling the entire theme park, he probably feels like his entire body is being stretched out like those medieval torture devices. Judging by how he looks in the wotfi teaser, his organs are practically falling out.

If they do keep him alive, I would love to see an episode where SMG4 takes Puzzles on as a meme apprentice to study real creativity and makes him a co-director for a video. As they film memes n stuff, Puzzles gives unwanted opinions like “oh, you’re framing everything wrong! And WHAT is this FILTH for writing? Here, I’ve taken the liberty to fix the script for you, since we’re friends and all!” As he strains the word ‘friends.’ The entire episode is the gang tired of his shit and arguing with him, causing him to get sad and walk away. However, someone reviews the changes and re-evaluates how to film it (this could be meggy, smg4, or mario even), and they go back to finalize the script with him. At the end, when they publish the episode, Bob starts a bet to see how much it’s gonna suck but it actually does decent. Smg4 gives Puzzles credit which causes him to start bawling.

This is wishful thinking ofc bro’s gonna die lol

Another idea if they keep him alive is to try and help Tari with the Clutch situation. I don’t think that’s been dealt with correctly, and it would be interesting to have dialogue with each other.

I’d also love a convo between him and Smg4 about their similarities. Actually, I have a theory that a part of wotfi will be a reflection of IGTBP with Smg4 seeing himself through Puzzles and wanting to help him.

Another theory is that something with happen to leggy, whether she wants Puzzles to stop hurting everyone or she gets hurt, and Puzzles will stop, causing him to shut down, whether that means being defeated or having to deactivate himself.

And to end this off on a positive note, Puzzles and Leggy definitely play dress-up, trying on a bunch of different hats before settling on the tophat. Goofy walks in half-way, stunned at the door while Puzzles and Leggy are mid-tea party break, ending with Puzzles threatening him to leave. Leggy gets a good laugh out of it.

These aren’t as neat or coherent as I would’ve liked but I’m too tired to edit the right now lol. I can’t think of any more right now but I’ll hopefully think of some after wotfi (literally praying they keep Mr.Puzzles alive rn like there’s so much potential).

Okay, so I am BACK with Moon Phases. Fun facts that are just trivia but if you or anyone cares, here they are! Moon 2 (April) we see a full moon when Heron sees the kittypet, which means that night specifically was April 22 1701

The Gathering in September would be the 17th.

There was a Lunar Eclipse February 22 1701 (Moon 0) that would've been visible to them.

Ages: Heronstar is 19, Longstrike would be 14, Heronpaw is 8 (obvs).

As for birthdays, starting March 1st seems appropriate for 1) ease 2) it was the half-moon which is normally the healer meeting. This also means something interesting! February that month just missed being a full month by moon cycle, with the previous half moon that follows the full moon being January 31! So off to a wonderful and weird start when it comes to ages.

So, using the half-moon and pretending they both turned exactly 7 Moons old (Heron) and 2 Moons old (Long) for the sake of this.

Longstrike would've been born December 3. If you want to make that his birthday is up to you, I'm not gonna assign your characters a birthday, but he'd be a December baby.

Heronstar would be July 9th! Once again, your comic, your characters, your rules, so if anyone sees this ask, Unless Jade Says So those are not Official Dates. Fun trivia, there was a blue moon that month, on July 30th.

"Perhaps we'll make a proper Uchiha out of you yet." He says, pleased with himself. Then he pushes Kagami by the shoulder, out of the gates and towards the group that's meant to go meet the Senju. A few awkward glances are cast is way, but after he's shuffled towards the middle of the group and all of them start walking, he's more or less ignored. Kagami isn't stupid. Tobirama Senju is the scariest Senju there is, the one who hates the Uchiha the most, and the one who's famous for breaking the laws of nature and raising the dead. He doesn't have a chance of stealing anything from him, much less secrets.

The Brother's Patricide

The path to peace is so long that he feels as though he can't see the end of it most of the time, as though he's trapped only ever seeing just one step ahead. For years, that step had been only to get stronger, because he'd known without that he wouldn't be able to do what as needed. Today he'd been on a battlefield, across from Madara, using that strength to defend his clan. When retreat had been called and the dust had settled he'd turned back to look and didn't recognize the landscape -- trees warped and bent, the earth ripped up in chunks, all at his command. He'll always need to get stronger, but he thinks he's strong enough now to take his next step forward.

Heyyy, March 2025 marks the 10th year since I've started reading Warriors, and that made me excited, so I jumped on the bandwagon and completed this meme I've seen floating around - it was made by fungicats on twitter!

I ramble a bit under the cut (especially about Lionblaze)

People are gonna be surprised by Lionblaze, but just trust me. The alternative would have been Clear Sky, but I revisited DotC a short while back (thanks to Moonkitti's Talking: Bumble video) and realized he's a major b-hole. I don't know why I ever defended that guy. He's still interesting, but I'm fine without the babying from the writers. I had a bit of trouble coming up with a different cat, I don't really have many "problematic faves", BUT then I remembered that Lionblaze is a pretty unpopular one due to him just not having a character. HOWEVER I just enjoy the hell out of the murderous Lionblaze that we've been seeing lately since The Broken Code, I feel like he kills at LEAST 1 cat in every arc since lol. Sooo I kinda made his design a bit crazed too. (Also, back when I was reading PoT and OotS for the first time, I kinda liked Lionblaze, I thought he was pretty cute, but that might have been me projecting Nifty-Senpai's take on him in their The Fourth Apprentice animation. I would definitely be bored of him if I re-read those arcs now) And the other "anomaly" so to speak - I made two versions. First one with Jayfeather as the "old fave", but then I remembered Brightheart exists and she deserves that slot a lot more, so I just made an alternative one, because I'm too in love with my Jayfeather design and I didn't wanna get rid of it lol. And now as I'm writing this out, Briarlight would have deserved that spot even more than Brightheart, but making 3 of these would be a bit much huh haha

Alderheart - more specifically early AVoS Alderheart is just me as a cat, I love him, he's adorable and I can't get enough of him, more Alderheart pls.

Frostdawn is quickly climbing the ranks and is currently considered my 2nd favorite, nestled between Cinder and Alder.

sunaosa week day 3: confessions / asexuality spectrum

things started off innocently enough - folded notes passed in class, shared glances in between sets, memes exchanged through the evening. as time went on, things started to escalate - brushed shoulders while walking side by side, hand holding when no one was looking, hugs in addition to verbal farewells at the end of the day.

their first kiss wasn't until graduation, a brush of lips obscured behind a curtain of cherry blossoms.

osamu became an apprentice at a traditional restaurant and suna was scouted by a div. 2 team in the same neighborhood. with their combined incomes, they rented a shitty studio apartment, working long hours until they returned home to each other's arms, cuddling on the couch, prompting one another not to fall asleep before dinner.

he told atsumu about all this on one of his rare days off while suna was still at the gym. his brother's confusion was palpable. "ya mean ya don't do anythin' more than that?"

"like what?"

"ya haven't had sex yet?"

the long silence that followed was enough of an answer. osamu hung up and atsumu never asked again.

years later, on a random tuesday while clearing the counter after his customers left, the question pops back into his mind. why haven't we had sex?  there are a few possibilities:

a) their shitty apartment was barely soundproof, and the entire building would've heard them.

b) suna moved out after he was recruited by ejp, and their daily routine changed to a monthly routine.

c) they are always so tired when they're finally together that they want nothing more than to cuddle and sleep.

d) neither of them is interested.

what's the correct answer?

the front door slides open. osamu straightens with his customer service smile. "hey, welcome ta-"

he cuts himself off at suna's languid smile, broad shoulders hugged by his team jacket, duffle over his arm. osamu leaves him cloth behind to approach him. "hello, there. i haven't seen ya 'round here before."

"really? i've eaten everything off the menu and then some." he winks, pulling him into a tight embrace. "i happen to be very close with the owner."

osamu chuckles, burying his chin in the soft polyester material of his boyfriend's jacket. "i'll hafta give 'im a stern talkin' ta. it's unbecomin' of him ta give out freebies."

a clearing of the throat makes him jump apart, and osamu catches the unamused look of his assistant manager. suna chuckles, adjusting the duffle over his arm. "i'll go settle down and come back to help out."

"ya should rest. ya came a long way."

"it's fine. i slept on the shinkansen." he slides the door open. "i'll be back later."

osamu returns behind the counter, eyes sweeping the filled tables, their plates full of delicious onigiri and other side dishes. he worked tirelessly to reach this spot, just as suna worked diligently to become a regular on a top team. they've sworn to spend the rest of their lives together, agreed that distance is a small price to pay in the interim.

so why haven't we become more intimate?

they're physical with hugs and occasional kisses. osamu can count on both hands the amount of times they made out using atsumu's definition ("lotsa tongue an' real hot"), and strangely, he doesn't feel the need to push further. suna probably doesn't either, since he never did anything that made osamu uncomfortable.

or maybe he wants ta, an' i just missed the signs. atsumu's always said he was dense. he believes it, himself, so it's honestly a miracle that he even realized his feelings for suna.

just before evening service, suna returns, donning an onigiri t-shirt and hat. he hip checks osamu when he slides behind the counter to help in the kitchen, and osamu is too busy to talk with him. business is steady all the way until closing, and clean-up is quick with an extra set of hands. soon, osamu is locking up, hand finding suna's on the short walk to the apartment.

it isn't shitty nor rented, but a modest one-bedroom with a lovely kitchen, balcony, and den that osamu uses as an office and suna uses as storage. osamu makes quick work of the leftovers to make dinner, and they sit at the table to eat, picking up exactly where their last message left off. afterwards, suna washes the dishes and osamu finishes his paperwork, inputting the day's totals in his spreadsheet, closing his laptop with a satisfied smile.

suna waits for him on the couch, half-asleep. osamu slides next to him, leans his head on his shoulder. "hey, rin," he murmurs. "i got a question fer ya."

"mm?"

"why haven't we had sex with each other?"

a pause. a long pause. he feels suna straighten, voice hesitant. "i dunno. do you want to?"

"i'm askin' ya."

"personally, no, but if it's something you want..."

"no...i mean, it isn't a big deal fer me? i just got thinkin' that we've been together fer so long, but we never..." now that he says it aloud, he can't help but feel ridiculous. why should having sex be an indicator of how well a relationship is doing? there are so many other factors to consider that aren't physical intimacy.

suna moves away, and osamu sits upright to face him, caught off-guard by the serious glint in his boyfriend's eyes. "did something happen to make you think this?" he asks.

"not really. it was a question that 'tsumu asked me a while back, and i never gave 'im an answer, and it sorta...came back ta me. is it just us? it isn't actually normal ta not want sex...right?"

his small smile is rueful. "it isn't. i suspected it but didn't say anything, and i didn't say anything either...i'm asexual. it means i don't feel sexual attraction to others."

osamu stares at him. "huh."

"i figured it out in high school," suna continues. "it was around the time that atsumu came out as bi, and you said something like, gender doesn't matter, you'd like whoever you liked. i wondered for myself, and realized that i was the same as you, except i'd never want to sleep with anyone. that's when i found out about asexuality."

it's the first time that osamu heard of the term, and somehow, it feels...right. he never expressed a desire to sleep with anyone either, even felt disgusted by the idea. but when it came to suna... "i don't think i'd sleep with anyone other than ya," he admits. "is that weird?"

"no, that's demisexuality, which means you need to have an emotional connection with someone before you have sex. i love you and all, but i don't feel that, at all. we can try, if you want."

"no, no, i don't wanna make ya uncomfortable!" osamu says quickly. he squares his shoulders. "i'll live without it, rin. thank ya fer tellin' me this. i'm glad ta know."

"just ask if you have any more questions. we can work this out together." suna reaches for his hand, and they share a smile, one born of love and understanding.

Tari: Oh… um… Meggy made the first move. I wasn’t exactly sure how to go about it. It was… really simple. Just us playing video games together and Meggy and I started cuddling, and she let it slip during conversation. It’s nothing big, really…

SMG4: Depends on your universe for the second question. We aren’t really born. We crash-land in a USB. We don’t really have childhoods, so… yeah. I know our avatar is based on who is the one most important to the universe, which is why Mario is our avatar. Luigi being an avatar was kind of… added to the world’s code. But he still has some avatar abilities, so I think it’s permanent.

SMG6: Our routine is pretty standard, I think. We train sometimes.

SMG5: We try to train our meme guardian powers at least once or twice a week, since SMG4 can get a little busy with videos and the cafe tends to get busy every now and again.

Tari: I can answer the question about video games! So, there are still many video games here!

SMG6: Yeah! And there are apparently a bunch of other video games with their own meme guardians! SMG2 told me.

Mario: SMG3 once kidnapped Santa Claus for his Christmas party, but then Santa escaped and dropped a bomb on the cafe and the castle so we had to spend Christmas in the dump with Bob

SMG3: Yeah… there’s a reason for that, dude… he’s kind of avoiding us after that whole thing?

SMG5: As for how similar we are to Luigi, well… we do have the ability to jump higher than Mario, SMG3, and SMG4. We also have a sort of… I guess affinity for the poltergust?

SMG6: Yeah! We actually went ghost hunting together too!

Luigi: They both do really like ghost hunting… SMG5 also tends to be more… timid like myself at times? To be honest, SMG6’s personality reminds me more of our Mario.

Luigi: As for the death stare… *leans in close* They both got that too. Neither of them really know it, though.

Headcanon A: realistic

Jack and Elsie met as children back when he was part of the archbishop's household. (Bridget Maynard was a housekeeper there until her health started taking a turn for the worse.).They've been inseparable since, and when he got kicked out, Elsie decided to follow him.The latter actually makes Jack feel a bit guilty whenever things get rough. Jack is also the one that taught her to read.

Headcanon B: might not be realistic but hilarious

To everyone's surprise, he and Real Leonard Meryll get on like a house on fire. Leonard has a mischievous streak and actually enjoys Jack's sense of humour and Jack quickly catches on Leonard often uses his reputation as a bit of a stick in the mud to troll people. They're also both nerds.

He teams up with Phoebe and Leonard to help Phoebe get out of her engagement with Wilfred. Zany schemes ensue.

Headcanon C: heart- crushing and awful,but fun to inflict on friends

Angsty backstory time!

Jack always tells the archbishop of Canterbury story like a funny anecdote, but there's more to it: Jack was raised by relatives that only took him in out of obligation and who didn't bother hiding that they never wanted him. Soon he became too much of a handful for them and they "accidentally" "lost" him at a nearby town, leaving him to fend for himself.*Eventually he was taken in as an apprentice/ happily adopted by the archbishop's previous jester. When the man suddenly died right before a party a teenage Jack was pushed into filling in for him,still grieving and with no chance to mourn properly or even prepare an act. Oh he was funny, alright. Deep down he thinks that evening might've been the funniest he's ever been. Unfortunately the archbishop wasn't too keen on ruthless social satire, which resulted in a whipping and a dismissal.He's been more careful since, but that often makes him less funny than he would've been otherwise.

(*When they were kids, Elsie once asked him if he has family. He replied "None that want me" and that was all anyone ever got out of him on this subject)

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon reality and substitute my own

In one alternate universe, Jack Point decides to leave England after the events of Yeomen.He gets on random ship; said ship crashes near the coast of Illyria, where he finds a job as court jester to a local count and his children.

He comes up with a new stage persona for them, sharper and bolder than his previous ones, and starts going by "Feste". He grows to genuinely care for Olivia and the people in her household, and they, in turn, grow very fond of him (well.except for Malvolio) .He's happy there, in a way.

Mei fights her seeing as macaque fighting monkey king , which leads to MK fighting her future darling it was only when reader makes shadow clones to trap MK , that’s when Mei gets involved. 

It would have been fine if the reader didn’t have such a flirty attitude, who likes to praise Mei even when Mei sword was near her throat. 

Before Mei could do anything , reader disappeared into the shadow realm 

For Red son , I can see him teaming up with her since MK is there enemy , with his brain and her brawn , MK and his friends will be finished in no time . (Reader teamed up with his , for sine reason her mentor disappeared and she thinking rid of MK and his friends will make him praise her ) 

He did not expect reader to be so smooth and honestly praises his inventions even saying he’s amazing . 

There were so close yet MK still won , Red son thought she was gonna leave him only for her to teleport him and her to her hideout to heal his wounds before sending him back home ,not before giving him a flirty remark . 

After that an obsession grow for Red son 

While Mei she gains a guilty crush that got worse when reader decide to keep her company since MK been busy Lately, She knows she should hate it but she been feeling lonely and when reader not being flirty she can be nice even winning Mei a dragon plushie at a fair . 

What made her snap was realising Red son fallen for her darling , but seeing how there got along greatly if there difference aside , there decided to team up to make reader theirs .

I love the idea and I've been brainstorming tons of ideas for this one and in each scenario I'm like damn this idea is so good. I really want to do it justice so I need to have multiple chapters. Ya know? To build the tension and really get a feel of the mindsets and what not.

Though a few months ago I had said I was gonna do the Raph one first so to keep my word I plan to do so.

However SOMEBODY (an anon) had requested a future Yan Michelangelo fic and I'm like brooooo were you reading my thoughts? Cause they were somewhat close to what I had in mind but not quite. But the point is I need to write the Raph fic soooonn!!!

just read through the full thunderclan family tree, saluting you and your efforts so hard right now 🫡🫡

do you have anything in specific in store personality or plot-wise for the first arc thunderclan kitten saves? (cricket, mistle, chestnut, tulip, elder) (besides dying horribly in the plague, of course 😅)

I do! Unfortunately the Plague Victims won't be getting much screentime, but I do have a good vibe on what everyone's personality was. I'll go in order of age,

CHESTNUTFACE is the daughter of Fuzzypelt and Robinwing, and a late birth as Robinwing had some odd fertility issues. She was born with Tulip around the start of Bluestar's reign, putting her on the later end of 4-ish when she died. She was named for a distinct 'plate' shape on her head, which passed down to Dustpelt. They're remarkably similar, but Chestnut was a richer, redder brown.

TULIPFLIGHT is the littermate of Chestnut. He was a darker red-brown with an orange belly, like his mom, and fuzzy fur that he was constantly trying to keep smooth. He was being trained to take over some of the fancier duties of Kitchen Patrol, and his death is a big reason why cooking wasn't so prevalent in TPB. He was a passive, good-humored guy.

The entire family was taken out by illness in Spottedleaf's Plague, with Ravenkit being the only one to catch and survive it. His growth was stunted as a result.

MISTLECLAW is the younger sister of Goldenflower and Lionheart, from a second litter. She was around 2-ish when she died, looking forward to getting her first apprentice. She was snappy like her mom, Speckletail, but there were doubts that she would make a good mentor as she was pretty flighty and easily distracted.

CRICKETCLAW is the littermate of Darkstripe, and the only one of this list who was alive during the Plague and survived. She is around 3 years old at the start of TPB, and was Redtail's first apprentice (so that he did not mentor his mate's sister). She is the 'distinct tabby queen' from canon, but did not have any surviving kits. She's one of the high-ranking members of the Construction Patrol, and was pretty jealous when Dustpelt got a secondary apprenticeship from One-eye. She has a friendship with Goldenflower.

And, lastly,

ELDERBERRY is the littermate of Ferncloud. She's an impulsive little daredevil, ride-or-die loyal with a bit of a sassy streak. Cloudkit was always dragging them into trouble, Elderkit enthusiastically following along, and Fernkit going broke from having to post bail.
