aLicEnT's ChiLdReN hAtE rHaEnyRa bEcAuse oF oTtO aNd AliCeNt"
ummm aside from the fact that rhaenyra herself has expressed nothing but distain and dislike towards them, and her being the only child their father seems to love (that one is actually not her fault. but still, it hurts to see your dad only loves one child & the other children are bound to become resentful)
maybe the fact that she offered to have aemond tortured after her son cut his eye out didn't exactly help?
honestly steve deserved to be a little meaner in civil war
“steve you have to sign the accords”
“oh right i totally should sign my rights away to a government who i exposed to have been infiltrated by nazis for DECADES. i’m sure nothing bad will happen if i do that”
“i should let the government dictate my life when all i’ve ever done is save the world by going AGAINST the government. sounds like a great plan”
like t0ny stans love to say he was being horribly selfish and mean in civil war, which he… wasn’t, but i think he should have been
i just took a trip to the dark side and found out that milkvans call us bylosers (how did I not know this???), honestly i've never felt so complimented in my entire life, I CAN NOW REFERENCE BYLER SHIPPERS AS A BIG LOSERS CLUB AND THAT MAKES ME SOO HAPPY
Tim: Well they are but let me talk about Eddie and then tell you that Eddie will be hanging out with them but also being left out…
It will never not be funny to me.
Petty jealous Eddie working out Tommy is Eddie lite - but also gay and dating Buck - means an Eddie spiral into realising he’s gay and in love with his best friend arc and I am preparing to hurl myself into the sun
Judith Straud & Avelina Lunvik, (ex)wives of Vlad & Greg. ("Lost" by choice, not by death.)
Years and years ago Vlad and Greg turned each other's wives to spite each other, and Judith and Avelina were so sick of their husbands' petty little rivalry that they left them both and fucked off together instead. With Avelina's science and Judith's money and ambition they worked together to stave off the worst of their conditions' effects. (Unlike their ex-husbands, who've both given into their monstrous natures.) Nowadays they're still together and doing pretty damn good, actually--they're co-CEOs of their occult pharmaceutical company. (Ever wonder who manufactures the plasma packs you order online? L&S Pharma, baby!)
Tommy is a disgusting pedo, you should be ashamed of stanning him.
I can't not 😂😂😂😂😂
EVAN BUCKLEY IS A 33 YEAR OLD MAN. Tommy Kinard is characterized as 40. As in, a whopping 7 years older. THEY ARE FULLY GROWN ADULTS.
If you think that THAT makes someone a pedophile, please refer back to source material on that word. I mean shit, if you want me to feel bad for stanning a TV character, I feel worse about Ezra Fitz than I do about Tommy Kinard, and I still managed to learn from that 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'm not here for the discourse on this characterization and I'm not feeding anymore into this discussion.
I just really needed to point out how ridiculous you sound in your hate. #nothereforit
I believe in gay obey me supremacy but like for some reason, there's this nagging feeling that writing them gay is out-of-character, as though the obey me characters are secretly homophobic (or just not into men). For example, as a gay guy, I love the obey me bros, but idk I just feel so upset reading m!mc x lucifer works because he's like totally my type, but for some reason I feel as though he would never be attracted to another guy. it just makes me so depressed while reading amazing writing that provide content for amab, trans and masc presenting people . Like ill read the work that include him with a female or woman mc and he just seems so in-character, like he truly loves her, but with a guy mc (or even Diavolo!) he feels so out of character and that he'll be homophobic like those typical traditional masculine men. I I feel as though he'll tell me he's not into men if i ever tried to flirt with him and idk beat me up (jkjk) like there's this inner part of me that knows 'Lucifer would never set his eyes on another man', 'he's only gentlemanly to females', and it's only reinforced by the sheer amount of lucifer works that contain fem!mc x lucifer content, as if even those authors know deep down that Lucifer is straight. Sorry for venting
Its fine! I completely agree! I don't know how but often times it feels like the mc is written fem and just given neutral pronouns. As someone who is transmasc and queer it feels odd to insert myself in their position or read m!reader without it feeling weird.
I think it also has to do with obm having a majority female audience so being the odd one out can make that feeling worse :(
ok hot take for a second but building up on the FCD fic by @lapisdemon22 (hope thats ok) except it's Cass FINALLY bringing her gf along to meet her mother and finding MC there actually and being struck. what was SHE doing here, in this FAMILY dinner—
and like. finding out about the club etc etc while the GF notes, hey MC we could pass as twins! and MC just smiling with her eyes closed so she doesnt glare a hole into Cass. The GF absentmindedly joking Cass seems to have broken a lot of hearts, like damn, I can't beljeve i'm so lucky to be yours Cassiebear. MC pointedly ignoring this and focusing on Bela. and Cass being dazed when she sees Bela and MC, irritated by the vibes she's getting and looking at her GF and realizing oh.
oh.
and looking back at MC who's now giggling over something Bela said, and who just brought up her hands to kiss them and SPOTTING the ring and—
oh.
oh.
Dani spotting it in the same time and going "HOLY SHIT YOU GUYS!!!!!"
and basically Cass is just. struggling. because oh, this isn't what she wanted. this wasn't how she imagined things to go.
and her realizing after all these years,
it was still MC, after all.
---
MC, handing Cass a pot of cooked rice: Hi, ako nga pala yung sinayang mo
something you guys gotta understand is that swifties are always going to praise taylor swift's albums regardless of quality due to the sunk cost fallacy. even independently of all of her previous work and all of the love and dedication that they have poured into that, the hype around the release is very poignant. one thing for which I will credit taylor swift and her team is being excellent at marketing.
for the tortured poets' department, there was an amazing roll-out that included qr codes put up in murals around north america that led to unlisted youtube shorts and spelled something out when put all together. every day during release week, one of her teams, taylornation, posted clues on their stories that led to songs on apple music, and if you looked at the lyrics and picked out the ones that were improperly capitalized and unscrambled the word, you would find a word, and all the words in order put together became a lyric on the album: "hereby conduct this post-mortem." this was alongside other easter eggs that contributed to this atmosphere of puzzle-solving— which is a very typical trend in her marketing leading up to the release of an album. it's clever and a good business strategy.
when fans devote so much time to solving these puzzles, discovering these clues, they will inevitably become emotionally attached to the album before they even hear it. if they listen to it and it sucks, they will often convince themselves that they actually like it and anyone who says otherwise is just a hater or misogynistic or whatever. and they will defend it. they will defend it even if it's awful.
but the fact that rory actually didn’t even mentioned him in that regard she just said she is wasting her life doing something very unlike her drinking and parting while jess at the age of 21 years old wrote a book and logan managed to turn this conversation about himself she never even. said his name. never accused him for taking her out she just express loudly her concern about where her life are going to and he’s already jumping off being mad and yeah maybe that’s rory’s choice going out and drinking but why does he have to turn it about him all the sudden? always with his “have a drink, ace” and “oh good he (jess) doing something” like the fact that 21 years old kid had managed to writing a book isn’t some impressive shit we need to discuss about and fine maybe logan doesn’t have a choice, maybe he is being pushed by that one door to that one destiny and maybe as we seen he doesn’t want that but him blaming rory over it and being all mean and rude like she didn’t even mentioned his name she didn’t even accused him for making her do all these things!! she literally said anything about him i hate how he managed to turn this conversation about him and dismissed rory’s feeling like that fucking logan
The authors sometimes shouldn't give in to the demands of some people and made particular npcs or characters a love interest. The love interests (both old and new) won't have enough screentime, which might mess up the stories or some plots, and those people will complain why their lis don't have more screentime.
