Malware AU : Gummigator !

Never thought I'd return to the malware au tbh but I had to at least for this guy kehehee

Gummigator or just Gummi is the mascot and main playable character of a movement shooter style western game. He was dragged into the prison about a month after Pomni's arrival. A damn shame he lost his trusty revolver in the process of being dragged out of his world.... He's a skilled survivalist though and adapts to life in digital prison fairly quickly!

PART 6

"DOLL"

"You woke up in the same place where you passed out. Moaning softly, you tried to open your tired eyes, which was very difficult for you, because your eyelids were heavy and ready to close again at any moment. While you were propping yourself up on your elbow, looking around along the way, memories of recent events gradually began to return to you.

- How much time has passed while I was sleeping...Is there even time here? - the realization of how long you've been here has alarmed you a lot

- S-So, okay, we have to try to find a way out...

After catching your breath, you tried to get up, but immediately gasped and fell to your knees. Your new legs were shaking and didn't obey well, because you hadn't fully gotten used to them yet.

— Okay...Just don't panic. You can do anything! - pulling yourself together and leaning against the wall again, you still managed to get up, staggering from side to side, after which you slowly wandered deeper into the dark corridor, slightly limping on both legs...

On both sides of it were the rooms of the participants, whose faces, depicted on each of the doors, literally drilled you with glances. Attempts to open at least one of them were unsuccessful—they were all tightly closed. Having completely lost all hope, you leaned your back against the nearest wall and with a desperate groan slid down it, burying your face in your knees

- Ah, but how can I get out of here?!...A soft sob escaped your lips, and tears of despair rolled from your eyes. Is it really your destiny now to be doomed to endless wandering in a world full of fear, pain and horror? Isn't there anyone here who can help you in any way?

But what is it? Suddenly, your moaning was interrupted by the music of an old piano coming from behind the nearest door. Feeling hope revive in your soul, you carefully got to your feet and, still limping and stumbling, headed towards the source of the sound, like a moth flying into the light. Fortunately for you, the door was slightly ajar. Looking inside, you saw the very doll that was cruelly bullied quite recently. To your great surprise, there was not a single scratch or burn on her, all her limbs were in place, and she was sitting on a small chest and, playing the piano, humming to herself a song that she probably composed herself:

🎶It looks like you played with me enough and left me to rot...

Wasn't it you who called me one of a kind?

They say you can't break a heart if it's not there...

I'll show you how my torn heart bleeds...🎶

-"Is she alive?" But how is this possible? - gather your courage, you slowly entered her room and looked around.

The room looked pretty cute and cozy, like a dollhouse, if you ignore the dust and cobwebs that covered all the shelves and objects in it.

-"How does she play the piano if she doesn't have an eye?"You thought for a moment. Not wanting to distract her from the music, you were about to leave, but the wooden floor creaked treacherously, which immediately attracted the doll's attention. Immediately finishing playing, she visibly tensed her whole body.

-Who's here!? Jax, if you've come to throw me a centipede again, then know this isn't funny anymore! - She said sternly.

Scared, you immediately huddled into a ball, just in case, covering your head with your hands and closing your eyes.

- W-Wait! I'm not Jax! Please don't hurt me! The doll turned around in surprise and tilted her head, clearly not expecting to see you again.

- Oh, it's you, the new girl. I'm sorry, I didn't know...That was awkward^^"- she grinned, sheepishly scratching her head.

- Stop... Are you not trying to hurt me?-Slowly removing your hands from your head, you hesitantly took a step away from the door, still unable to stop trembling all over your body.

-Why should I hurt you? Oh, I almost forgot. My name is Ragata) - there was a kind and warm smile on her face, which calmed you down a little and inspired confidence.

- Heh... Nice to meet you, Ragata^^"-you smiled awkwardly, every now and then lowering your eyes to the dusty carpet on which the piano chest stood.

- Listen... Do you happen to know where the rest of the participants in this "Circus" are?- not knowing what else to say, you decided to change the subject.

Your question clearly made the doll think. Propping her chin on one hand, she fixed her eyes on the ceiling, where small moths were circling near an old lamp.

- It seems that they should have returned from another Caine test by now... But I can't say for sure.

- T-Test?- you looked at Ragata in disbelief. Fragments of memories of bullying her resurfaced in your memory, which immediately made you even more afraid.

- Yes, Caine often arranges them for us so that we don't get bored. Truth... These trials are like surviv...

But she didn't have time to finish.

- HOW LONG HAVE I BEEN UNCONSCIOUS?! I WAS ALMOST KILLED BY A F@^#!NG MONSTER AND I HAD TO FIND MY FEET! You exclaimed loudly, realizing that you could no longer hold back. From the surging emotions inside you, everything shrank with renewed vigor, a veil of tears covered your eyes, and thoughts swirled in your head one after another. You no longer knew where you were or what to do. Breathing heavily, you knelt down, clutching your hair tightly with your hands.

Ragata anxiously approached you and, sitting down next to you, looked into your frightened eyes.

- ...Shhh...Shhh...Just don't worry. Look at me. I'm here, I'm with you...

Her kind words were able to bring you out of your stupor for a moment and, slowly raising your eyes, you saw a warm and friendly smile on Ragata's face. Although she looked creepy, but that day she resembled a ray of Sunshine in the dark, so warm, bright and carrying goodness.

Still trembling, you cried again, letting everything that had been boiling inside you all day finally come out. Sighing knowingly, the doll gently put her hand on your shoulder, then pressed you against her soft, cotton-stuffed body. So you sat there for a while, until you felt yourself gradually letting go. Having dared, you hugged the doll a little in response, imagining that you were holding your favorite plush toy in your hands, which you never parted with as a child.

- I hate this circus... I want to choose from here!... - sobbing, you whispered, trying to swallow the stake formed in your throat.

Ragata inhaled heavily again, smoothing the top of your head with her soft hand.

- I understand you... I tried too...- When you heard that, you looked at Ragata with even more surprise and obvious interest

- How? Really?

In response, the doll only nodded softly, and sadness flashed in her eyes.

- yes... When I first got here and realized what a horror was happening here, I tried to escape, but... Caine found me and...

-Robbed you of your sight and your heart?- you completed her words.

- yes... And he made me his doll... I can't resist him..Otherwise, I might be sent to the basement... And no one has ever returned from there...

After listening to her story, you hesitantly released her from your arms and, standing up carefully, said with a little bit of determination.

- I will definitely find a way to get out of here! Only...Could you fix my suit for me?.please? Otherwise, after meeting with the monster, I will clearly not look very ^^"-you laughed awkwardly, casting a shamefaced glance at your battered body.

- Oh! Of course! One second)

The doll went to the chest and, opening it, she took out fabrics, threads and needles. You stood in the middle of the room and waited patiently for Ragata to finish her work.

After a few hours, your suit was as good as new, clearly better than what you were wearing earlier. Unable to hold back a smile, you turned to Ragata with eyes full of gratitude.

- Thank you very much Ragata, it's very beautiful ^^

- You're welcome, new girl! It will be necessary—do not hesitate to ask for help ^^

When you got to the door, you were about to leave, when suddenly Ragata called you back.

- I understand that you want to get out of here...But you obviously could use a little nap. Yes, we do not need sleep, because we are in a virtual world, but believe me, sleep restores our well-being well. So...When you get to your room, be sure to get some sleep, okay?

- Okey...I will do that...You nodded, feeling slightly tired after the experience.

The doll took you by the hand and escorted you to the room where you said goodbye.

— l... I will do everything in my power- upon hearing this, the doll looked at you and smiled her unchanging warm smile.

- I believe in you, new girl...

Top 10 Cartoons I Hate But Many Others Like

#10. The Amazing Digital Circus: Yes, I'm aware only 2 episodes have been made of this cartoon. I'm also aware that both episodes have been praised by viewers and critics alike. As much as I would love to join in on the fun, I cannot ignore how badly structured it is. From the unlikable characters, the poor world building, the unfocused narrative to the lackluster jokes, poor handling of themes and lack of stakes, this it the kind of unmitigated mess that more infamously bad cartoons are ripped to shreds over. I will say that the animation and voice acting is well done so it's not all bad.

#9. The Owl House: Many people were disappointed by my disappointment with this disappointing cartoon. But no one was more disappointed that I was left cold by the show than me. I love fantasy, magic, mystical creatures and enchanting worlds. The Owl House should've been up my ally, yet in practice I wouldn't even spit in it's direction. With an irritating cast of characters, bad world building, formulaic plots, the writing was already on the wall. Then Amity showed up and it made the show unbearable to sit through. I'm all for LGBTQ rep, but I draw the line at a bully and their victim becoming and item. I'm sure Amity has some sappy sob story about how her parents pressured her into being an entitled brat, but she's still and entitled brat that shouldn't even have friends, nevermind a girlfriend, because her attitude STINKS!

#8. The Loud House: I've made it no secret that despite the warm reception and continued popularity of The Loud House, I was never a fan. I never found it funny, well written, or relatable. All I got from The Loud House was this is one of the most annoying dysfunctional families I've ever seen. I do think it's well animated and I commend the crew for moving forward with the show despite the disgraced creator's termination.

#7. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur: I consider myself a big Marvel fan thanks to the MCU and Spider-Man franchises. I never heard of Moon Girl or Devil Dinosaur before this show was announced, so I was genuinely curious to see how this would play out. Needless to say, I was not impressed. Despite having dazzling visuals and really good voice acting, the show is just badly made with terrible writing, unfunny jokes, dull characters, and repetitive action scenes. This show clearly has its fans, but unfortunately I'm not one of them.

#6. Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous: Those who know me know I love dinosaurs and am a huge Jurassic Park fan. You'd think a cartoon based on the series would be as exciting and interesting as the movies. Well like so many of the dinosaurs victims, you'd be DEAD WRONG! This show shoots itself in the foot by having 6 unlikable and annoying characters, and not one gets eaten by a dinosaur. Not to mention it's sluggishly paced, the animation is stiff, and the score only reminds me of the movies I'd rather be watching. Clearly I'm in the minority here as I had a blast watching ALL the Jurassic Park movies, even the ones critics didn't like at all, over this.

#5. We Bare Bears: I like bears as much as the next guy, with my favorite cartoon bear of all time being Winnie The Pooh. Despite my fascination with this big, furry creatures, We Bare Bears never made me like the main trio, much less love them. They're all varying degrees of unlikable and the show isn't funny or well written to keep me engaged. They also did San Francisco dirty by making the people so unlikable. The one element that I think would've made for a much more interesting show is Chloe Park. Her character was utterly wasted on this stupid show as she's a kid with a high IQ and is in college but still wants to be a kid. She deserves better.

#4. The Mitchells vs The Machines: As much as I like Sony pushing for more expiremental animated films lately, this expirement didn't succeed in my book. Sure, the animation is amazing and the voice acting's mostly good, but tells such a generic story, has such incompetent and unlikable characters, and I will never get over the fact that Aaron Mitchell sounds like a middle-aged man and not, you know, A CHILD! The worst part about this film is despite it's best efforts, it is just NOT funny. It relies so much on cringy, outdated memes, weak slapstick, and dull visual gags and I never once found it funny.

#3. El Deafo: I was confused as to what this show was supposed to be based on the trailer. Watching it for myself, I found that it was more frustrating than anything. Don't get me wrong, I commend author Cece Bell for turning her personal struggles with impaired hearing into a comic turned cartoon and I fully understand wanting to tell a story from a deaf person's perspective. That said, though, I just despised the execution from the awful writing, the unlikable characters to the terrible sound mixing. As pure as the intentions were, they were sorely lost in the execution in my opinion.

#2. Frog and Toad: When I was a kid, I loved reading the Frog and Toad books. They were simple, yes, but the characters were so interesting and the illustrations were well crafted. This show should've been exactly what I was looking for in an adaptation of the books. What I got instead was a prime example of how NOT to adapt a beloved children's series. Despite having spot on voice acting, the abysmal writing, the incompetent characters, and the lackluster animation really soured the experience. I know the author's children were involved in this, but I don't think they did the books justice. The show didn't take full advantage of the medium and played more like mediocre live reading of the books.

#1. Summer Camp Island: I clearly struck a nerve with fans of the show when I said I hated it. Well, y'all will be please to know that your efforts to change my mind were all in vain. I just couldn't get passed how badly written it was, how hatable the characters were, how grossly unfunny it was. The worst part is that this is a world where anthropomorphic animals and mystical creatures exist, yet they can't tell anyone about the magic on the island. To this very day, I CALL BOLONGA!

Conclusion: I'm not saying y'all are wrong for liking these show and you definitely won't see me call them "overrated." I just wanna offer a different perspective on these popular and well liked cartoons. Some honorable mentions include Miraculous Ladybug (many people love it, I can't stand it), The Ghost and Molly McGee (you all know how I feel about that chatterbox), and the "adult" cartoons that received critical acclaim such as Rick & Morty, Smiling Friends, Bob's Burgers and The Simpsons. Anyway, so hypothetically, if Pomni and Lilac were twins, what would Lilac be like?

Even though she's a performer harlequin, would she know how to fight? If yes, what would her weapon be?

Would she be an expert in something (like investigating places, small patches on her combat sister, etc.)? What was her reaction to Pomni's fight against Caine?

(BTW me and @mrs-nightshade are writing something based on our original AU and there Lilac and Pomni are twins. (There is a liiiiitle bit of Able (sm-baby) too. I've got distracted. BACK TO THE QUESTION. )

It's not that she knows how to fight, but rather she's good at avoiding danger. However, if she had to fight, she would be able to get out alive. If Pomni's focus is on her hands, then Lilac's main "weapon" is her legs. I imagine her in ballet flats with blades, like Carmila from the Hazbin Hotel.

She thinks well, which means that she collects information perfectly. Give her a different costume (more convenient for undercover missions) and she will explore the entire Circus City.

As for medical abilities... I think Lilac has a high pain threshold, so she would have knowledge of mechanics (to fix herself) She would have made an excellent field medic.

In a scenario where Lilac is Pomni's sister, she would be the boss after Gangle. The "Colorblind Princess" is a black and white arena, a black and white boss, and Pomni herself becomes black and white. To defeat her, you need to gouge out her right eye, a purple liquid will spray out of it and the black-and-white filter will fall off.

After the battle, both sisters went to the Patriarch. Lilac felt something. Not fear, not pain, something more... mystical. It was as if her soul had formed at once.

She doesn't know about the Pomni and Caine battle. These two refuse to tell her how they met.
