Favourite Kiss Game
Rules: create a poll with five of your all time favorite onscreen kisses, setting any standard for qualification you choose. Then tag more friends to join in!
Tagged by @elimstillnotgarak – thank you for tagging me!
Alec and Magnus, Shadowhunters
youtube
If you're going to do the interrupted wedding cliché, this is the way to do it! (And it's lucky that Lydia is the world's most understanding bride-to-be.) Alec grabbing Magnus by the lapels like his life depends on getting this kiss, and then the two of them taking a moment to breathe before going in for seconds.
Emma and Hook, Once Upon a Time
youtube
It's not even romantic at this point. He's just teasing her about owing him a kiss, and she could easily brush him off, but instead she just lunges at him. Ten whole seconds of heavy macking, and again with the lapels!
My interest in these two didn't survive the domestic phase, but damn, they got off to a good start.
Rose and Charlie, The African Queen
youtube
Okay, so the actual kiss itself isn't that spectacular, but I just love the context. Their excitement of making it down the rapids, the impulsive liplock – and then the weight of what they've just done hitting them like a ton of bricks. Bogey's expression when he tends to the engine is fantastic.
Megan and Graham, But I'm a Cheerleader
youtube
I initially thought of including their first kiss, to make it five first kisses, but truth be told, I find their final kiss even more iconic. The sheer exhiliration of throwing caution to the wind and finally allowing themselves to BE themselves and be together.
Pat and Pran, Bad Buddy
youtube
Since I got this challenge from a BL mutual, I can't NOT include the most beloved of BL kisses. "If we're not enemies, do you think we can be friends?" "Why, do you want to be friends?" "No."
Pat, who realizes he's in love and finds relief in the kiss, Pran, who has known for so long and leaves in agony, because he knows what trouble still lies ahead.
Tagging @twiceturned, @timelordnomad, @birdisland, @lotesseflower, @morathicain or whoever else wants to do it!
