Friendly reminder that aplatonics are queer. It’s so disheartening to see so much aphobia be directed towards aplatonics. The A includes all aspecs.

For all those people who think the A in LGBTQIA+ stands for Ally...
How is being a descent human being queer??? How is not being a literal homophobe/transphobe/biphobe/intersexphobe/aphobe worthy of praise???
Congratulations, you're not an asshole. That does not mean you're part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

As somebody who is asexual greyromantic and agender, it hurts when I hear hamas murdering people just bc they're being themselves.
LGBTQIA+ (A does not mean ally, fuckers) has persevered and will always do so.

Since it's pride month I think people should remember the A in LGBTQIA+ stands for identities such as aromantic, asexual, etc.
It does not stand for ally.

since pride month is coming up remember
flag discourse is not real
slur discourse is not real
lesboy discourse is not real
mspec discourse is not real
trans men/transmascs are queer and we deserve a safe space
afab non binary people are not women lite
amab non binary people are still non binary
companies don’t give a shit about us. Do not praise them (esp since they are backing down bc of conservatives)
asexuals and aromantics are real people who are queer
The A in lgbtqia+ doesn’t not stand for ally. It stands for Asexual, Aromantic and Agender (and any other A label)
stop excluding masculine queer people
Xenogenders and Neoprnouns are valid
Xenogenders and Neopronouns hurt no one or make us look bad and don’t make transphobes hate us any more than they already do
Bisexuals can be in guy/girl relationships (and so on)
Queer platonic relationships are valid
Cishet/Allies are allowed at pride (seriously I saw a tweet from some idiot saying you can’t bring your cis partner to pride)
Real people cannot queerbait. Stop using this as a tool to (intentionally or not) force people to come out
A couple looking cishet or heteronormative does not mean they are
Trans men/Transmascs don’t owe you masculinity
trans women/transfems don’t owe you femininity
Anyone under the Nonbinary umbrella doesn’t owe you androgyny
Uplift Disabled/Neurodivergent/Non white queer/trans voices
Don’t forget about the Queer and Trans people being bombed in Palestine.
Cops aren’t allowed anywhere near pride. All Cops Are Bastards
Zionism,Racism,Antisemitism,Abelism etc is no welcome in the queer community
People who are still in the closet/not out are still part of our community and shouldn’t be forced to come out or be excluded
that’s all I can think of rn. Happy almost pride month 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈
if you can and it’s safe, consider attending IRL pride events. Stay safe!

Note
do you think that asexual people belong in queer spaces
ASEXUAL PEOPLE BELONG IN QUEER SPACES.
lgbtqiA
the a stands for aspec. asexual, aromantic, agender, aplatonic, and any other identities/microlabels that fall under the aspec umbrella. it does not stand for ally. although allies are great and appreciated, erasing aspecs to say “a is for ally!!” is not okay.

Friendly reminder that the A in lgbtqia+ stands for Asexual, Aromantic, Agender and any other queer identity. It does NOT stand for ally so please stop spreading aphobia and invalidating A identities thank you.
Note: I do appreciate you allies but you are not a queer identity

What ace movement? What are you guys doing to enact change? What change? Online posting is not a movement. What legislation are you pushing? What organizations are you funding for what causes? What are you doing and how did people sayin g cishets aren't queer stop you?
Hey anon, I’ll answer this step by step.
What ace movement?
Well, that’s a very broad question. If you mean the movement towards equality for all of the lgbtqia+ community; then that’s what the ace movement is. If you mean specifically ace, then it’s stopping erasure, stopping hate and stopping misinformation at the same time as making the wolf a safer and more accepting place for all those on the ace spectrum!!
What are you guys doing to enact change?
Spreading awareness, helping people figure themselves out, educating those who ask and more! Supporting ace spec people and their creations is definitely up there as well as sharing websites and organisations to help people!!
What change?
To increase awareness and acceptance for all aspec people, as well as hopefully make some people’s lives easier and safer!!
Online posting is not a movement.
Actually, now a days this is incorrect. A large minority of voters and protestors rely on social media to get ideas, news, thoughts and more! A movement is any group of people attempting to do anything, though the exact definition is “a change or development” so yes we are a movement 🥰🥰
I’ll answer the next lump simply;
This is tumblr. We are (usually) politicians and I’m here to education and teach people as well as share posts to my followers! If there’s a legislation aimed for or against ace spec people I will for sure share it and my thoughts on it!!
I’m unsure what you mean by the last part but if you meant why A does not stand for ally is simple.
It’s an exclusion of all A identities including (but not limited to) Agender, Asexual and Aromantic identities. There’s no H for heterosexual and there’s no C for cis. You don’t include them because they are not part of the community!
You can by allies but you can’t claim to be part of the community unless you are part of the community.
Thanks for the ask hope this answered some questions!!

husk in any image with valentino is going for his throat i imagine. pan on pan violence. (sort of imagining husk as a spitting kitty cat now, with valentino holding onto a chandelier or smthin near a ceiling for dear life)
charlie, cherri, sir pentious, vox -- well the two in the middle are making out, while charlie and vox stand to either side not quite sure where to look, because they also can't really look to each other for solidarity. alt. charlie is cheering cherri/sir pentious on, vox isn't sure how he ended up on this picture and why alastor isn't there :(
see at first id think alastor, vaggie, and angel would be pretty chill in the same picture, seeing as angel has been learning Boundaries, but i forgot that vaggie -- while chill with alastor in the battle + final bit -- potentially does not trust this guy in the slightest, considering he's made a deal with her gf. so like. nominally chill picture. for now. rosie is also there
is lucifer the token straight in this setup? (i wrote that and then remembered adam, but tbh loser bisexual adam hcs have compelled me) (and then the host of people who are ??? in my head atm. velvette, carmilla, lute, zestial, niffty -- oh NIFFTY does strike me as potentially straight in a "housewife from a terrible marriage" sort of way) (lol accidentally wrote my way into a "what about the straights" corner somehow, love a show where everyone is queer until proven otherwise and even then...)
(reference to this)
LMAOOOO this is all very real. "vox isn't sure how he ended up on this picture and why alastor isn't there :(" I'M CRYING??!?????
velvette is definitely some form of queer to me, wlw or aro are all acceptable to me. carmilla, zestial, niffty idk. for lute I do actually kinda like her with adam so she's at least a manliker to me but also like the idea of her having had something with vaggie in the past, so bi/pan to me
honestly I'm fine with bi lucifer or token straight lucifer both work for me but I was speaking in terms of canon sexualities in my post (because if it wasn't just canon there would probably be more bisexuals LMAO. and rosie would be with alastor in the aroace section)
btw regarding the lucifer thing, they've taken it out now but at some point he was listed as straight on the wiki and I got JUMPSCARED bad
Tumblr media
I think the idea of it is very funny though. yes the one who oversees the PRIDE ring. straight. also him being token straight of the hotel (unless you count niffty???) where like everyone else is queer in some way and he's wondering why he gets left out and charlie just has to awkwardly go over and say "ummm... dad. you're uh. straight!" "well. do I get a flag?" "errrrm. yes, dad! the um. straight.... ally flag." "wow! is that what the a in lgbtqia+ stands for?" "no. no dad. that's alastor." "the a in lgbtqia+ stands for alastor??????" "DAD. NO."
(this is of course all for the fun and giggles I am still fully in support of bi lucifer I just think token straight lucifer is also funny)

Pride Month 2023
Tumblr media
Hi everyone. As you likely know, June is Pride Month.
We’re aware many people in recent years have become wary of corporations that participate in  ‘Rainbow Capitalism’ – i.e., showing nominal support for the LGTBQIA2S+ community during Pride month as basically a marketing tactic, but otherwise failing to stand by the LGTBQIA2S+ community in substantive ways– sometimes even donating to anti-LGTBQIA2S+ organizations and politicians behind the scenes, or walking back their support in the face of opposition. As such, we want our community to know that our commitment to supporting and defending the LGTBQIA2S+ community is sincere and borne of conviction, not just a marketing ploy.
We have seen a dramatic increase in anti-trans legislation in the United States– and even legislation more broadly targeting anyone expressing non-traditional gender norms. Many are rightfully terrified by what is occurring. Make no doubt about it: these attacks are part of a larger attack on the LGTBQIA2S+ & LGTBQIA2S+ BIPOC community, a reactionary response to the progress & freedom that queer & trans people have achieved in recent decades. This legislation has made it difficult for trans and queer people to access healthcare, education, and employment.
Furthermore, harassment and discrimination seems to be at an all time high because other social media platforms are continuing to allow hate speech and fascist thought freely. Trans and queer folks are having their voices silenced, or simply overridden by algorithms that boost bigoted rhetoric. As a result, we feel it is more important than ever for us to affirm our stance as unequivocally pro-LGTBQIA2S+ and pro-BIPOC. The need for us as a social media network to continue to stand by our LGTBQIA2S+ and LGTBQIA2S+ BIPOC members is obvious; we must be the counterbalance to all that prejudice and bigotry.
Pride Month is certainly a time to celebrate the trans and queer community, but it is also a time to remember the work where it all started. The first Pride was, in fact, a riot in response to systemic brutality against queer and trans people. We encourage you to learn more about the 1969 Stonewall Riots.
And that’s why we won’t participate in ‘Rainbow Capitalism’. What we say here is from the heart. Our support isn’t a gimmick.
Pillowfort.social doesn’t allow hate speech. We do not condone hateful rhetoric. We absolutely do not tolerate racism, homophobia, or transphobia. And fascism does not belong here.
We love and support our LGTBQIA2S+ & LGTBQIA2S+ BIPOC community 365 days a year. Not just one month out of the year.  Pillowfort.social will continue to be a safe space for our trans and queer communities today, tomorrow, and forever.
A final note: Now more than ever the LGTBQIA2S+ & LGTBQIA2S+ BIPOC Community needs your help to stand up to this wave of attacks. They need allies in the active, not passive, sense– people to stand up toward the danger they are facing. Be an accomplice. That means speaking out against anti-trans, anti-queer, and racist legislation. That means listening to trans, queer, and BIPOC voices. It’s so much more than 30 days of wearing rainbows. You might, if you can be safe doing so, look into participating with your local member groups such as the Equality Federation or the Human Rights Campaign. Organizations such as The Trevor Project are also in need of funding.
We encourage anyone who wants to promote a local, national ,or international organization working for queer & trans rights to do so in the comments of this post. All hateful comments will be removed. The best first step to oppose anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation is to let the politicians who are promoting these measures know that there are a lot more people fighting against them than they bargained for.
Are you a trans or queer community member in need of aid? Also leave a comment here or here and link ways other users can support you.
This month find joy in the midst of the storm. Live your life truly out of spite. Don’t let those bastards get you down.

My friend and I recently got into an argument whether A in lgbtqia+ should also stand for ally, and now I’m realizing that she shouldn’t have a say in that, because she is not any of the aspecs, and shouldn’t be able to dictact whether it does or not. She’s not the one being erased. Thoughts?

Another day. Another royal scandal featuring the Crown Princess of Haven.
Over the weekend, Crown Princess Emelia co-hosted a Pride celebration with her godsisters: Lady Zenobia, Countess of Pleer, and Hartley, the Duchess of Finle. All proceeds were divided amongst six LGBT Youth organizations the three women are patrons of. In a statement - and a speech delivered by the Crown Princess at the event - she proudly explains:
"A Mother's love is everlasting. Unfortunately, many LGBTQIA+ individuals are cast aside by the families who brought them into this world. Myself and my sisters, speak to you all as friends, mothers, and allies who will forever stand beside you. I can proudly say your love is beautiful. Your character is phenomenal, and anyone who cannot accept that is not welcome in our home. Know you are loved, and we are proud of you as we are of our children."
Tumblr media
Her touching words mirrored King Liam's from a few years ago when the royal family led the 200th Annual Pride Festival. Prince Max and his partner, Dr. Alanna Lynn were also in attendance - which, sadly, has added to the controversy for our favorite royal.
Reporters Piec O. Sheetz and Elizabeth McKnight went viral for their heated discussion over the event. O. Sheetz (a devoted royalist, who has not been the Crown Princess's biggest fan) was "revolted" over the amount of skin. He ranted over our heir's "lack of respect to her parents, her King." The journalist went so far as to question her parenting skills - never mentioning Hartley's or Zenobia's mothering. He re-sparked rumors of an internal feud when asking why the Duchess of Harkne - a fellow mother - was not in attendance.
Elizabeth, however, spoke with facts and not emotions:
"What is this nonsense about [Emelia] wearing shorts?" speaking firmly as O. Sheetz interrupted. "No, no. I listened as you foamed at the mouth. Please respect me and let me speak. I was there. I was invited as a journalist to this event. It was scalding. One of the hottest days Morroe has experienced. People were basically naked, but we're discussing this grown woman wearing shorts?" "Here are the things we should be discussing. That event brought in over §100 thousand. She was handing out water bottles, making sure everyone was cool. She helped put up tents despite her team telling her to sit down. She spoke and shook hands with nearly everyone there. Other royals do not get as personal as she does. Even when people discussed their struggles - not relating to the event at all - she listened. She thanked them for telling her. Just this morning, a statement has been put out expanding their patronages and her plan to aid in a cool air plan. But, yes, let's complain about her wearing shorts."
I guess this is how we're closing Pride Month. Short drama. Happy Pride from Gossip Queen!

June is Pride Month
As we enter Pride Month, here are some reminders:
You are valid no matter what you identify as.
Trans men are men, and trans women are women. Trans rights are human rights.
Non-binary is NOT women-lite.
The A in LGBTQIA+ does NOT stand for Ally. It stands for Asexual, Aromantic, and Agender.
BIPOC and disabled LGBTQIA+ people are still part of the community, and are still valid.
Support LGBTQIA+-owned businesses, creators, artists, and writers.
Do NOT support corporate pride.
Do NOT support LGB Alliance, as they are a trans hate group.

For anyone who doesn't know what LGBTQ+ stands for, but are too embarrassed to ask and keep forgetting to google it:
Lesbian
Gay
Bisexual
Transgender
Queer/Questioning
Intersex
Asexual/Aromantic
And we like to slap a "+" on the end to remind everyone that there are lots of folk in our community that don't use any of these labels.
If you're wondering about the people that get really angry about how the A in LGBTQIA+ doesn't stand for "Ally," come here. Lean in close, that's right. You gotta understand this: our Whole Thing is 🌈inclusivity🌈. Regardless of what labels you use or don't, young or old, queer as fuck or straight as a ruler, everyone is welcome at Pride.
This does not mean that all queer spaces are open to anyone who wants to look inside! Supporting queer joy, defending queer folk wherever you can, spreading stories of queer success - please do! But Allies, please hear this; we need those spaces we feel safe in to be as free from rejection, judgement, and fear as possible. Society doesn't like us. Society tells us at every turn that we are wrong. We live under the constant, never-ceasing, inescapable question: What if they're right?
I have to have faith that someday, I'll heal enough from my trauma to finally say with confidence that they're wrong. I'm not "running away from my nature." I'm not "betraying God." I'm living my best, healthiest, happiest life with my beloved partner and our ever-increasing number of animals. I feel more deeply and securely myself than I ever have before, like I'm finally opening up and unfolding to feel the sun on my face.
So... yeah. :)
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
